We hired the Cosmo Alleycats to perform for our wedding at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton CA and we couldnt be happier with their performance! They did an absolutely awesome job. Their jazzy, bluesy sound was exactly what we were looking for. Our wedding was a cross-cultural one, and we wanted to find a band that had a broad appeal to bring our families together. Our guests loved it, we saw all ages (our aunts/uncles cousins/friends and even their children) on the dance floor enjoying them selves all night long. Emily was also a pleasure to work with from early on all the way to the big day. She also did a great job MCing and worked really well with our day of coordinator. The Alleycats know how to put on a great show!
We hired the Cosmo Alleycats to play our wedding on July 8, 2017 at the Sequoia Retreat Center and it was fantastic!First, they set up the PA and the piano player to play during our ceremony. They played during cocktail hour. They played background during the dinner and let us use their equipment for toasts and speeches. Then they rocked the house during the dancing time. Four different locations and they had equipment setup and ready to go before any of the guests arrived.Everyone loved the band! They were friendly and helpful the whole time. They were also very easy to work with throughout the planning process, offering suggestions or alternatives for requests that didnt make sense for their sound. Great job Alleycats! We hope to make it out to SF and catch a show sometime.
The Cosmo Alleycats killed at my wedding. They are amazing. I could see from the videos that they were a good band, but honestly, I was blown away by how good they were live. First off, they have some very talented musicians. The horns are TIGHT. We and our friends were dancing so hard! They have such a broad repertoire. They played a stripped down acoustic jazzy set for our reception - the drummer just had a snare and hi-hat, and then for the party they really brought out the horns, even learning a couple special songs for us (both of which they pulled of fantastically). And they nailed the hora. I cant say enough good things about this band and how special they made our wedding. Even my snobby classically-trained pianist cousin got their card because he was so impressed - and thats saying something! If you want people dancing and loosing themselves to a truly great performance by a very talented band, dont hesitate to hire the Cosmo Alleycats.
What can we say about the Cosmo Alleycats… they were just terrific! We hired them to perform at our pre-reception cocktail hour (a three-piece band) and then to continue on for our wedding reception and through the night (the full band).Emily Day is the lead singer and was our main point of contact for working with the band. She’s great! Emily was really easy to work with, responded quickly to our questions, and really helped us to understand the process better. Emily also acted as the “MC” at our reception and helped us to plan many of the details of how best to move the evening along. This help was really invaluable to us.Overall, the band showed up early looking awesome, they made sure everything went smoothly during the reception, and they played really great music! They were great to work with and they come highly recommended!
This band is AMAZING! We had so many compliments from our guests about how fun the music was and we saw people on the dance floor that would normally stay seated. Their music just makes you want to dance! We also appreciated the time that Emily took to meet (via phone) with us to personalize our experience and even learn a new song or two for our featured dances.
Cosmo Allycats are, hands-down, the most talented group of individuals playing music in the Bay Area. Not only does Emilys voice and style take you back to another era, but her band plays with an excitement and vigor that you dont typically hear.We met Emily after seeing Cosmo Alleycats play at Local Edition (if you havent seen them there, you absolutely have to experience the speak easy vibes of their shows there). Upon hearing them we decided right there and then we wanted them to play our wedding.Emily was so easy to work with and really excited about our jazz era themed wedding. She was fast to respond, thorough in her explanations, and easy to negotiate with for the package that fit our needs best.Two weeks before our wedding, we received the bad news that due to the forrest fires in Big Sur our wedding venue was no longer able to accommodate us. WHAT?!? We found another venue quickly but the set up was completely different. Without batting an eye, Emily helped us re-arrange the entire plan for music. Instead of 2 band moves, the new venue would require the band to move 4 times! Not only did Emily not charge us more for the extra work, but she worked closely with the new venue to find solutions to make our ideal scenarios play out.Day of the wedding, their performances went off without a hitch! My favorite video of the whole wedding is my husband and I dancing to their I got a women mash up. Our guests are still raving about the band!!! Emily even got extra into theme and had costume changes throughout the day. My guests thought she totally pulled the whole event together.With Cosmo AlleyCats, you get more than a wedding band; you get a partner in planning the most fun part of your wedding!
I hired the Cosmo Alleycats to play at my companies annual customer appreciation party. Noam was very responsive to all my questions and extremely flexible (the shade/weather situation was not ideal). The band was awesome and Emily has a fantastic voice. I would absolutely not hesitate to use them again for either another corporate or personal event. Excellent job!
The Cosmo Alleycats are incredible! They played at my daughters wedding, which was at my house. They made the reception so much fun. Everyone had a great time and raved about them!
Stellar band on all levels, most importantly truly great musicians, wonderful sound, energy, vocals, and spirit. Hired them for a big party, and they were super easy to work with and the crowd loved them... lots of dancing ensued.

2022-07-15We adore the Cosmo Alleycats and were so happy that they were able to perform for our wedding. They introduced us to such a timeless and beautiful selection of music as well as incorporating any requests we had. Andrews solo piano performance for the ceremony was wonderful, their jazz trio did an amazing Bossa Nova for our cocktail hour, and the whole band blew away our guests with dinner and dancing music. We received countless compliments from guests including requests for set lists.Logistically, Emily was so great to work with. She was super helpful in sending us a clip of their version of our first dance selection so we could practice at home. Their website is also very well designed with an extensive list of their repertoire that no other band comes close to offering. Definitely go with the Cosmo Alleycats if theyre available for your date!

2021-09-09The Cosmo Alleycats played at our wedding in June 2021, and couldnt have been more amazing. I cant recommend them highly enough! We had three different combos for the different parts of our wedding, including a keyboard for our ceremony, a trio for the cocktail hour, and the full band for our reception. Although the full band, with its wonderful range of songs and all the amazing musicians, was our favorite part, the ceremony and cocktail hour were perfect as well. Emily was wonderful to work with, and was also kind enough to act as our MC, introducing us and helping keep things moving smoothly. The music itself was great; the band did a wonderful job getting everyone dancing, and the range and mix of music was so much fun. They made an already wonderful day even more special for us. Hire them!

2020-03-29The Cosmo Alleycats played at our wedding and were simply amazing! Emily was so easy to work from our planning calls to her care-free demeanor at our wedding and helped keep the timeline of our wedding running smoothly! They were recommended to us by our venue and we are so happy we chose them. Emily has the most beautiful, yet unique voice and the band played fun-to-dance-to songs! Our family and friends kept saying how good they were and everyone was enjoying the party dancing! The band learned our first dance and father-daughter dance songs and played a recording for our mother-son dance from an old Indian show for my now-husband. My dad got tears in his eyes when they played St Louis Blues that his dad used to play. So happy we had them at our wedding!

2017-11-30We loved working with the Cosmo Alleycats. They were incredibly flexible and reasonable in their pricing. We had multiple staged set ups at our venue, for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, and they were able to accommodate it all. They also learned some new songs for us to dance to which was a bonus. At the end of the night, everyone was wishing they could have played longer - if only our wedding had been planned for that! We had a great time working with them and would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a unique, jazz swing style band that also has a diverse set (for example, they did 20 minutes of Jewish klezmer music for us by request). We couldnt have chosen better!

2017-08-15The Cosmo Alleycats did an AMAZING job for our wedding, it was such a special day, and would not have been the same without this great band! I would give them a million stars! Every musician in the band is so outstanding and gave a stellar performance the entire night, but besides that their stage presence, musical selections, communication with us/organization and dependability, lighting, the pacing and musical flow through the evening, everything was perfect and far exceeded our expectations in every way! This band absolutely does it right, they are one of the best bands Ive ever heard and we were amazed that they were available for our date, and that the price was in our budget. We couldnt believe how lucky we were to have found them.We were looking for a 5-7 piece jazz, swing, dance band and saw some bands online we wanted to hear live. We went to Local Edition in SF to hear a band that sounded great online. When we got there the band was so dull, they were not exciting or into it, and no one was dancing. We were so disappointed and thought we would never find the right band, if this is what is out there. The waitress was kind enough to tell us to come back on Tuesday because there is a GREAT band called the Cosmo Alleycats that has a huge following and lots of dancers. We came back to hear them and sure enough were blown away by their performance, Emily has the most amazing voice, on par with Ella Fitzgerald, and Noam is an absolute genius keyboard player/arranger and adds a lot by having another great voice to add to the band. The drums, bass, trumpet, and clarinet/sax fill out the sound and dynamics beautifully, everything is tight, in tune, and the perfect vibe and sound. They have a sound engineer to check balance, projection, so everything sounds exactly right. They are dressed super classy in vests/suits and have a great rapport with the audience. People were dancing and having a great time. When we spoke to the band they are the nicest, friendliest people and again we were blown away that they were actually available to play our wedding and we didnt have to mortgage our house to hire them.When I went online and saw their repertoire list I thought ok there is absolutely no other choice than this band, they can really do anything and as good as it gets in quality. Again, we were amazed they were available and were sure to book them a year in advance because we knew we wanted them. The wedding was a huge success in large part to the band, they even played special arrangements for us for our first dance, and also performed it live a week before for us, so we could record it and practice dancing to it.This band is a gem in the Bay Area and we hope to continue to see them play live any time we can. Our wedding guests cant stop telling us how good the band was and what top level musicians they are, not just people that play music as a hobby or on the side, they are amazingly talented and life-dedicated musical professionals and put an amazing amount of energy into what they do, and they do this full time. I am a professional classical musician and so were many of my guests and they all agreed the band was amazing and had so many compliments for them. It was an absolute honor to have them play for us. We hope to book them again for our future anniversary or other party.

2017-11-30The Cosmo Alleycats played at our farewell brunch reception, the day after our wedding, in July 2017. They were fantastic! Many of the guests raved about their music, and my husband and I loved every minute of it. They bring such a fun and positive energy to the place, and we got to do some swing dancing to their tunes. They kept the party going, with many guests dancing after brunch! Emily is very professional and responsive via email, and the band was very easy to work with. Would highly recommend them.

2019-08-12The Alleycats played at out wedding in the summer of 2016. Emily and the band did an awesome job keeping everyone dancing the whole time. I had not deem my mom enjoy dancing that much in years. It was very easy to work with them before and during the event. They were super responsive to our requests and offered a great performance.

2016-10-16We hired the Cosmo Alleycats for our wedding August 2016. I can’t emphasize WHAT a good decision that was. They are an incredibly talented bunch and I can’t tell you how many compliments we’ve had from guests on how much fun their performance was.The lead singer, Emily Day, has an amazing voice and is an incredible performer. Noam Eisen is fantastic -- both musically and to work with. Noam provided piano music for our reception, and helped us think through set list options both for the ceremony and reception. In addition, we had a last-minute bait-and-switch related to where the band could set up at our venue, and he handled that situation with incredible professionalism and calm. We knew we didn’t have to worry about the logistics for the band -- they totally had it covered. Their wealth of experience playing at many weddings before was very helpful to us in planning our own. Also, they were incredibly generous in recording multiple versions of our first dance song for us to review before the big day. We also had a fairly traditional Jewish wedding, and they had a great selection of hora tunes. The energy for the horas was incredible. We had a mix of vintage, swing and traditional Jewish music that worked perfectly for our guests.Huge thank you to the Cosmo Alleycats for making our wedding so much fun. If you’re reading this and considering booking them, I can’t recommend them enough.

2016-09-23Emily Day and the Cosmo Alleycats were such a special edition to our wedding! They truly made the party! They are a class act, incredibly professional and amazingly talented band. Great mix of songs throughout the event and very reasonably priced for the value you get. Emily was easy to work with from the beginning in order to create a plan for flow, music styles, and personal touches. I would highly recommend them!
