Poor service!!! I waited for more than 3 hours before I was called then they poke me 3x to finally draw my blood and develop hematoma and petechiae on my arm and they forgot to do my drug screening even when I ask them that I needed to collect my urine for drug screening which they said is not needed... I will never recommend this place for medical services. Maybe, the employees are new but they needed to be trained or retrained...Their boss should check and be there to see the flow of service being done...
The medical assistant took my blood pressure immediately on being seated. She didn’t give me a rest period before my blood pressure was taken and I was seated so that my feet were not on the ground again I was not in a resting position for the taking of my blood pressure. Therefore my blood pressure was highly volatile. The last time she took my blood pressure it started dropping and she wouldn’t take it again. The PA was find.
My appointment was at 2pm. I got there at 1:37 pm but waited 3 hours before l was called to go in the back. I was called in at 4:45 and left at 5:15. So basically 3hrs wait for 30 mins of service. The exam and test were quick and efficient but the wait is just ridiculous.
I was sent to Concentra for a pre-employment physical and drug screen. I arrived there on a Thursday morning at 10am. There were already ten people ahead of me. No problem. However, I started becoming uncomfortable around 12:30pm and asked to use their restroom since I knew they would need a sample. Having done that and with no word on how much longer it would take, my exam finally began at 3pm. I finished my exam five and a half hours after arriving.
I visited Concentra Urgent Care in Torrance on 12/23/21 to get a standard pre-employment Urine Drug Screen. I was greeted by a clean waiting room, temperature check, and routine paperwork. This is the second time I have been to a Concentra urgent care for a urine drug screen this year.I liked the fact that they employed a confidential sign in sheet and had a convenient water station in the waiting room. The front desk staff was very helpful with printing out paperwork for me and helping me understand the pre-employment screening process.Although, I waited for over an hour to get my test done, overall I had a consistent patient experience and would return again for my urgent care needs.
The staff at this facility are nice and polite. However, I dislike the wait time to be seen at this office. I waited three and a half hours on my first visit to be seen by a provider. As a occupational injury there should be appointments honored to avoid excessive waiting.
I was initially scared of going here and waiting a long time because of the reviews where people stated they waited over two hours for a drug screening. Though I didnt wait nearly enough, 45 minutes for a 10 minute procedure seems like a lot. However, people were nice, my main concern was the test itself since there was no seal to break to prove the cup was sterile and there was no soap in the bathroom to wash my hands, the cup itself was a pop up lid which just doesnt seem sanitary. The technician performed the test on my urine right there in front of me, overall it just seemed somewhat unprofessional. I think their best quality was that they didnt take as long as the reviews said they would and they were really nice and speedy about taking in my information.
Had to come here for a work place injury. Referral to get MRI for a shoulder injury took over a week. Office visits always have a wait time of minimum 1 hour just for the dr to ask, are you feeling better?. If you answer no then he says, ok well see you next week. Not to mention receptionist are rude.Linda, if you dont like your job find a new one. No need to be rude in a customer service setting.
I had a appointment at 11:30 am. They called me around 12:50 pm. I dont get how you make an appointment and have to wait more than an hour to be seen? The nurses and doctors were kind and professional. Receptionist were ok, not very welcoming. Dont come here if you need something ASAP because that wont happen!
Terrible doctors here. Im going for a workers comp case, and the doctors do not give you the time of day. Theyre very forgetful, takes forever for prescriptions to go through, and you wait over an hour to see the doctor maybe 5 minutes. The last time I saw the doctor he wanted to discharge me as healthy even though I still had pain! Do NOT go here if you have a choice.
Went to get some pre-employment testing done and it wasn’t my first time going to this clinic. I like going here because the staff are always nice, polite, informational, and open to answer any questions you have. This time with COVID-19 being around, I had a very short wait time and I got all my testing done in more/less than an hour. Tip: the reception is terrible in the office and the staff WILL TELL YOU THAT so don’t get mad at them for it; it’s not their fault. Treat people with Kindness.
Went in for my TB test. First day was fast. Staff was respectful and professional. The person that poked me with the needle done an excellent job. Typically the TB tests I receive feel like a bee sting, but for the first time it felt like mosquito bite. Props to that employee. Lastly, the day of my reading was fast. In n out just like the burger joint. 😎
Loudest is the best! They are extremely busy but make you feel comfortable. As a traveling nurse,I have used different Concentra facilities, this by far is the best one!! Olivia and Sandra are also very good. The manager kept me updated when they were behind schedule. From an administrative view, another MD may be needed. However, this is not fault of the efficient staff. The office is very clean and EVERYONE is very professional. Keep up the good work. All the other Concentras should emulate this one!!!
Dr or whoever saw me cause she didn’t introduce herself was not nice. I have a pace maker and was trying to get my DOT which I gotten at other concentras before in the past. Now they want an EKG. Never before have I had to do this. I see the heart Dr. every 6 months. All they have to do is fax them the paperwork for me but they didn’t. I have to do all the footwork. I have 45 days to get things in line. I wish I could go to another concentra but I will lose my money. This was the first time I went to this particular Concentra.
Parking is abundant, thats always a good thing. Sanitizer at the front door of the building. Safety temperature check before proceeding with physical. I was in and out in no time. If I wasnt filling out papers then I was getting in the process of the exam. Maybe I came on a good day? It wasnt packed. But they have a good system and strong team.
I was greeted immediately upon arrival. I did not wait long. The Dr listened with intention, examined as needed and validated the treatment I received from his very capable PA last week. Social distancing was appropriately executed without me feeling like the staff was afraid to treat their patient. Bravo team Concentra!
This office in Torrance is over crowded. I was there for PT and a Dr. visit. 2 hours and 20 minutes. My PT appointment was 20 minutes. The waiting room is 10’X 30’ and there were 14 people in there ( social distancing? ) After I saw the Dr. I waited 10 more and gave up, and asked them to email me my visit summary. The room they use for PT is quite small, there counting on gloves and masks to protect you. I think tomorrow will be me last visit. To me it felt like a mill!
The physical therapist was excellent. The handling of the drug test was very poor, someone sent the results to the wrong company. Looking at the paperwork I brought with me, the correct company name was on almost every page of the paperwork. No excuse for the poor handling of the drug test.
I needed a pre-employment drug screening and every place in the area was closing at 3:00. Then I found this medical group that were still open to 5:00 and you didnt even need an appointment. The nurses were extremely efficient and after a short wait I had my test and was on my way. Thank you for helping me get this done before the weekend so I wouldnt have to worry.
The nurses and doctors got me in right away! it was fantastic. they really know how to keep up the pace so customers aren’t sitting there waiting forever. the level of communication was good too. they walked me through every step and every procedure, so i was never left wondering what it was they were doing or why. most importantly they made me feel my needs were valid and i wasn’t just “another number”. also they’re all funny. what is up with that? shoutout to the woman who did my stitches.
I arrived for a work ordered test at 1145 am and was not processed until 1pm. And finally seen around 3. I was finally out of the office around 430. Over all not a good experience. I was just moved from room to room and they did not have the proper test equipment so I had to return another day. I returned and they still did not have the equipment or supplies. Seems very unorganized. Maybe they are new? I remember it was a quest diagnostics lab before.
I was told the walk in appointment for a urine only screen would take 45min, I had called in first and then upon arrival. I had to urgently go, and told the nurse this as soon as I got there. I was told I was next in the queue for “my department” however I wasn’t seen until 2.5hrs later. This wait time is understandable if I was told from the moment I walked in, however every time I approached the desk I kept getting told “maybe 15min, you’re next.”
I have been here many times before and never have I ever sat this long waiting. I’m not exactly sure why this place was so backed up, but I had a 9:30am appointment I came in at 9am. I did not leave until after 1pm. I could not return to my job so I had to call off. What’s the point in having an appointment if your not going to be seen at that time?
Ive had mostly positive experience at Concentra just a little bit of confusion between the doctors because Im not supposed to do any repetitive motion because I was told I have tendonitis and the therapist thinks tennis elbow its severe My arm is constantly in pain and then another doctor told me that it was what I eat Im not getting enough omega-3 fatty acids its my diet thats hurting my arm and then this doctor that I just seen knows how much pain Im in and really didnt have anything else to say besides telling me to do the three therapies and come back and be evaluated but didnt change the restrictions that the second doctor gave me which was I can return back to work I can occasionally live 5 lb still no repetitive motion but that doctor which I didnt understand said I could use the mouse and keyboard for up to 3 hours which is completely repetitive motion which I tried to do when they put me on light duty and made my arm hurt so bad I couldnt take it. Im up in the air because the therapists are some of the best Ive ever dealt with and they are trying to help me as much as they can and the doctors have all seemed very nice but none of them seem like they are on the same page when it comes to my injury it seems like its all about just getting me back to work but how can I go back to work if Im in so much pain that doing my work is literally going to make it so bad for me that I injure my arm even more. I just cant figure it out right now just trying to go through and get through this the best I can and I really just want to heal so that I can do my job good theres no sense in me going back right now when I can barely even lift up 5 lb and when I do use my hand at all it starts hurting all the way up my arm past my elbow. They all seem very nice and attentive but they are all for the company and getting me back to work in as little as time possible but the therapists have already told me that Im doing six therapies and Im probably going to need six more and one of them even said I should see a hand specialist because of the problems Im having with my hand and I have to figure out what to do because I dont want to lose my workmans comp but I cant be going back to work with my arm hurting this way because its just going to get worse and cause more damage to me long-term.
They give you and appointment time to come see the dr. But they take 45mins to an hour to call you in. They take in the new injury people before your appointment. They dont even keep up with you if going ro be running late with your appointment. I would give the therapy department a 10 they are always on time.
Dr Sanchez is very thorough. He tracks your progress and takes notes after each adjustment. As a patient I appreciate having things explained and clarified the way Sanchez does when questions come up. Also the Dr does a great job targeting painful areas when I come in for my back adjustments. Thank you Dr and thanks to all staff for your professionalism and kindness.
You ever watched the movie called “Interstellar”? Where they travel to a planet where 1 hour there equals to 7 years on Earth? Well if you’re familiar with it then come on by to the worst location with the slowest staff and be prepared to spend hours there just to have a simple screening done.
Usually from my experience most Urgent Care facilities are pro-employer and doesnt support the employee totally treating them like an moronConcentrea in Gardena and Torrance are spot onThe level of care, friendliness and compassion are a 10Kudos to the entire staff for their professional supportGreat Job
I came in for a Tdap vaccine and a TB test. I had an averse reaction to the Tdap vaccine and originally left the clinic feeling very dizzy. I went back inside and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. I felt like then genuinely cared and were concerned and kept an eye on me until I felt better. Thank you!
Awful!!! Got asked “how far along I was” and if I was pregnant, when I’m not pregnant. In a medical setting this is super unprofessional. Especially since my body type is do from a medical condition. I was there only for a required pre drug test for my new job. Bad bed side manners
This is the 2nd time going and 2nd bad experience, the receptionists are not nice at all, they act as if they run or own the place..(manners please!!) ...i cant say that about the nurses though..they were nothing short of perfection..everything you could expect, very helpful and nice ,answered all my questions and anything you could expect..beside the receptionists ,all the staff were amazing ,sorry for the inconvenience but the receptionists need to step it up , when patients go for help, the last thing we want is a bad experience welcoming you..5 🌟s for the nurses 3 for the receptionists
The main problem is the wait, which is usually at least 2hrs minimum. Dont even wait for your paperwork or you will be there until they close. The reason for these long waits is there is only ONE Specialist that attends this office every other week on Thursday for only 4hrs. This is completely unacceptable care. At best the Specialist has to turn-and-burn the patients in-and-out the door. Some times i wonder if he even has a chance to really read what is goin on in the charts...
One of the nurses working there, refused to wear gloves while handling my mask. When politely asked if she would wear gloves, she very rudely told me her hands were clean. This is in the middle of a pandemic.....you are touching the inside of my mask and you arrogantly refuse to wear gloves. She needs to be fired.
When I first checked in the girl at the first computer all the way to the left name Nicole was very rude to me, and showed no consideration, while I asked her a couple questions about how to send my email attachment over. And then later I see she was just a person with bad energy complaining about her job for 10 mins straight, her customer service skills are poor and her attitude is nasty, if I didnt have to take a test for a job, I would have left the facility all on how rude she was.
I was there for a work related injury on my left ankle . Let me tell you that everyone in the physical therapy section of the building were extremely nice , they made you feel very welcome and at home , shout out to Steve and Luis(I don’t remember everyone else’s name ) ! Both to extra care of me and made a few jokes here and there . Favorite one was “we make miracles happen” by Luis , once I told him I walked in with crutches and walked out without them haha ! Once again , extremely nice , very satisfied with the results ! - Rodolfo Gomez
I never have a problem when I come here until the day I went on December 27th when they called me in to see the doctor, they put me in a room in the back and I sat there for 45 mins until a woman came to change me to another room and come to find out she was the doctor I was seeing that day and I usually see another doctor and when I asked her where he was she told me I couldnt talk to him and she was so rude to me and telling me that the pain I was feeling was all in my head and I wasnt really in pain and that was very disrespectful in my eyes. There was more heated conversation after that...so overall this visit was horrible
Overall Concentra has been really great handling my work injury. Due to covid, I used telemed for a couple months, but apparently that was all they allowed for telemed. Due to the limitations (not being able to physically interact with the patient to assess injuries) going to a clinic after a couple months was their policy. I went, despite being hesitant, And NO exam was done!! The doc just went over my mri results which telemed could have done over video conference without the potentialcovid risk. He also didnt ask me any questions regarding how i was injured. Im sure concentra telemed had notes there, however, this was his first interaction with me and I found it odd that he didnt ask any question pertaining to the injury other than what my pain status was. By not asking questions, he changed the diagnosis based on the radiology report when the radiologist doesnt have all the information regarding the injury when looking at the scans. The doc recommended pain management instead of a more conservative approach such as seeing a chiropractor or acupuncturist. I have to go back weekly now, and Im not too thrilled about it. During this time, i would much rather do telemed especially since it seems like there is no difference between a video conference and being in person.
When I walked in to check in, the person in the reception was very rude when asked a question. She wouldn’t even look me in the eye when being spoken to. I went back for a mommy results, they couldn’t find my paperwork. They stopped looking for them and continue about their business. I went to seat right in front of them, and they began looking for them again. They had misplaced them.
Giving them 1 star because I have to make a selection. Potential employer sent me in for a (urine) drug test. Checked in at 4:00pm it is now 5:50 and still havent been seen. According to them only one person handles urinalysis, HIRE 4 more people for a faster service geez!!!!!!
Sent to Concentra for work TB screen, alternate location of Concentra lost my lab specimen. Torrance Concentra called me to come back for repeat test and THEY ALSO LOST MY LAB SPECIMEN. Lab technician did not even confirm my first or last name prior to drawing labs. Oh and there was a dead cockroach on the lab room floor that I guess no one bothered cleaning up. 0 stars.
I went in for a pre employment drug test and was told I would have to wait 20 mins, however, I waited for almost 2 hours. Also, that was the second office I went to. The first one I tried to go to literally didn’t exist at the address listed on google. When I attempted to call them to ask how to find them no one would answer, it would ring and ring then just hang up on me.
Clinical staff was very friendly and fast. Clinic was pretty full when I visited around little after 1:00pm.. I thought it would take me forever.. I was shocked that It only took me about 20 mins from the time I signed in to when I was called to the back to complete my visit.Front desk team was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, it made my checking in a breeze.Technician/Nurse who called me back was very friendly and personable. Explained thoroughly what to expect during procedure. Was out quickly with no additional questions needed to be asked.Thank you to the entire team for making my visit a great experience.
Good place they help you get ahead they have very good service only you have to wait a little but its worth the wait they give you a snack and they give you all the information you need its a good place as a clinic as a masseuse for exercise therapy. I the atmosphere is warm and above all it is very clean

2022-08-15First of all, when I got to the Cocentra Urgent Care. The front office staff were not so friendly. No welcoming words. They were a bit rude and they didnt explain that there was only 1 physician assistant on duty. They were busy chatting amongst themselves. My appointment was at 2 pm. I didnt get checked into the room until 3:30 and didnt get seen until 4:30. The PA that saw me was nice and personable. The lady that took my urine sample was rude. They shouldnt work in this place if they dont like their job. If this was not job related, I wouldve walked off. I wouldnt recommend going to this place unless you really have to.

2022-07-19My really good health insurance shows theyre in network yet the front desk girl with a terrible attitude says they dont after taking a 5 second look at a sheet of paper. They should be hiring office staff with better costumer service because Ill be taking my money elsewhere. Also this urgent care is very small, cramp, and pretty dirty by clinic standards so I dont recommend wasting your time and effort coming here when there are so many other options a short distance away.

2022-07-11I thought it was going to be a long wait because waiting area was full of people. However, I was literally done and out of the place in about 20 mins. I just had to fill out 2 forms and waited for about 5 mins before they called me in. I just went in for drug test and IT WAS QUICK! This is my 2nd time, I been to this place before about 4 years ago and had terrible experience. I had to wait like 2 hours. I think they remodeled the place, it was clean and nice. Things definitely changed for the better. This place went from minus stars to 5 ++ stars. Not joking. Staff werent lazy, they were professional and quick, I was really impressed the nurse who helped me because she saw that it was getting busy and took on other tasks to help. If it was other place they would have just left the files sitting because it is not their job it was nice to see whole team working together. Please keep up the good work! THANK YOU.

2022-04-11The receptionist was very rude, I was ready to turn around and walk out when I heard her get rude with the guy ahead of me. I ask for a supervisor to remove her from the front desk because she was pressured about something. That’s no place to be a problem to people that had come to seek medical attention. I could’ve dealt wit the long wait better if I didn’t have to endure the ultra rude front desk person.

2022-06-29I rarely write reviews...particularly for medical facilities that handle employment drug screenings. However, I felt compelled to write what a wonderful employee Lourdes Holguin was when I was sent for a drug screen. Im a long sufferer of paruresis (shy bladder syndrome) and Lourdes was incredibly patient, compassionate and supportive while I made several attempts to provide a urine sample. I would have never had completed the task if she handled the situation any differently (which most nurses do). Thank you Lourdes for being so patient with me.

2022-05-16I had a great experience at Concentra. The facility is super clean and the staff is was very nice. My nurse/tech was Lourdes. She was so sweet and very patient. Thank you Lourdes for everything.

2022-06-27Went for a respirator mask fitting with no other active medical problems and was told erroneously that I needed a physical exam. I am a physician who is well and healthy and has a normal physical exam within the year yet the doc insisted I needed physical exam. I persisted in refuting this and finally won. The tech who did the actual testing was excellent. The sign in process for the entire visit was lengthy and cumbersome.

2021-06-21Sat for 2 hours without being called after filling out their survey and letting them know I was done. After 2 hours I asked how much longer they thought and said I never told anyone I finished the survey even though I had, and then they didnt even put me in the front of the line despite me being here twice as long as everyone else. Floor is also pretty dirty. I rarely ever leave reviews but this was absurdly bad care. Go to CVS if you need a DOT exam. The care staff was nice and professional though

2022-02-07I had to send in some paperwork and talk with a PA to get cleared to go back to work after having COVID. When I called in after filling out the individual I spoke with had a serious attitude and told me that I had to fill out the paperwork a second time. When I told her I already had she demanded to know where I received the forms. I inform her I received them from my supervisor. Once I submitted the forms that she requested, I called in a second time to request my clearance. I was informed that “they would get to it when they got to it and to stay by my phone for a call.” Once I received the call several hours later the PA, who I have interacted with before and is a quack in my opinion, asked me three or four questions, which I had already answered on the paperwork, and said in his opinion I was able to return yo work. A total waste of time!

2022-02-14I think the Torrance urgent care is a great place to get my preemployment screening done. Even when the room is full of patients the the time is never extraordinary to be seen. The day I was there the waiting room was full and the staff worked quickly and politely with each patient.Thank you and I give each of you a raise and a vacation!!!!👍😎
