Closeup Crew has an awesome and professional setup for doing my self tapes. Great equipment that makes me look my best every time and the readers are always super engaged and fun to work with. Cannot recommend using them for a high end tape enough.
My mom owns this studio, I use it all the time. I can genuinely say if you need a self tape studio, this is the best one you will find. The quality is incredibly professional and beautiful but the coolest part is that the readers are all actors. No more reading with your roommate who isn’t an actor or a someone just reading words off a page, you will have a buddy in the process and someone’s who’s opinion you can trust if you need it. They are responsive, professional, and generous and will make you as comfortable as you can possibly be. I can’t imagine the added stress i would feel if I didn’t have closeup crew. Go do your tapes and headshots while you’re at it there and never look back!!
Favorite place to do self-tapes! We all know auditioning can be stressful but Pam and Adam are always super professional and accommodating. I have a lot of fun doing my tapes and know that they’ll turn out great! Price is very reasonable as well.

2022-06-16I recently had my headshots taken at CloseUp Crew & Adam is a genius. My agent was super happy & is looking forward to sending more clients to get their shots here. Plus I was able to get a few great publicity shots as well because Adam is such a versatile photographer with a great eye & attention to detail. He is so fun to shoot with and an excellent collaborator. You can tell he wants you to have fun and also get all the shots you need. I couldnt be more happy with the results.

2022-07-07My experience for my photo shoot was amazing at CloseUp crew. First of all Pam helped me pick just the right outfit. The facility itself is clean, warm and welcoming. Adam, the photographer, brought out the best in me and guided me to bring my smile to my eyes. The whole team was supportive and actually helped me have fun during the shoot. I am not so comfortable in front of the camera so this was quite an amazing experience for me.And my photos are so beautiful. Adam is an amazing photographer!If you are looking for a professional and at the same time, warm and welcoming place to get your head shots taken with amazing results, this is your place!!

2022-06-17Yall - this is hands down my favorite place to tape and coach here in LA. Andrew is a TOP NOTCH COACH - he gets the best out of me, and Im a newer actor so I love feeling that I have a safe space to explore and discover more about myself and my artistry. I have so much FUN, seriously, when I go here. All the readers are fantastic - Ive had some of the funniest auditions to date here. Also.... I have BOOKED thank you this wonderful team at CloseUp Crew. Obsessed. Also Pam is the sweetest and is so incredibly flexible and helpful with scheduling.Seriously ----- best self tape spot in LA. 2022-07-23This crew is THE BEST!! I was referred to them by my acting coach and by a friend and I could not be happier that I took their recommendation. Adam is an incredibly skilled photographer who loves his work and it shows. This team was so creative and playful that I felt more safe, supported, and confident than ever. They are also SO affordable that it almost seems to good to be true...but its not. I cannot recommend them more! I guarantee you will be blown away.

2022-03-08Where I currently live it is impossible to get good sound for my tapes, so my manager referred me to CloseUp Crew. Ive had Isaac, Alyssa, and El as readers. All were top-notch. They did not just read the lines, they were open to really engaging with me, and for me that makes a world of difference. The environment was professional and I felt safe to bring my best work. And the finished product turns out looking/sounding great, and the turn around time is really quick!

2021-12-28I had so much fun during my session with them! It was my first time having so much fun taking professional headshots. They made me feel comfortable, confident, and were ready to try new looks on the fly. The process of preparing the looks I was going for, whether I knew what I was going for or not, was so collaborative. I highly recommend meeting with them prior to go over clothing options and also bringing new ideas to your shoot so you have the most time possible to really enjoy the process and get the looks/shots you desire. They were also cool enough to play the music I liked to really set the atmosphere for me. They went above and beyond for me and I look forward to working with them again in the future. Ill recommend them to anyone I know who needs these services!

2021-10-30I booked my first professional credit because of CloseUp Crew, so I really love them!Their studio is quiet and clean. The readers take their time to help you out and make sure you get the best take possible. The quality of the audio and video is great. And it’s more affordable and accessible than any of the other self-tape studios I’ve tried before. Definitely recommend!
