This is a night time experience! The giant Deodar trees on both sides of Santa Rosa are strung with holiday lights. Local police seem to tolerate cars driving with their lights off. Very romantic experience. If you are out looking at holiday lights, also consider visiting the Balian mansion.
It was an okay exp. A little difficult to get out and check out the scenery. Also if you see the first 1 minute of entering, than you have seen it all. All the trees are lighted the same way. No point in going all the way in to look at the same tree over and over again.

2019-12-25The light is a little dimmer this year but you can still see some creative decorations like minions. It didn’t have really parking space or walking lane so it’s kind of dangerous to walk along it. Hope they can re-design it next year.

2017-12-31It was a very neat experience, however not many houses contribute to the holiday cheer. Must visit the train depot.

2020-12-14Me and my family were disappointed.Traffic was more appealing then the houses.Only the city trees had lights. 5 of 100 houses had lights on them. Nothing like the past years. We drove from far to see them and were left very sad about this place.

2018-12-31Love visiting this place during Christmas. Have been doing it for the past 5 years. Great to see that they have continued the tradition of lighting up the trees and houses. Beautiful sight at night. You can park at any of the cross streets and walk for a more relaxed view.

2020-12-23Always lovely at Christmas. Very crowded. No sidewalks for pedestrians, but otherwise super fun! There was even an aerialist performing at one home!!

2020-12-21Its a really nice mellow drive. All the big trees are light up as you drive down the street. Just be patient because there are lots of people all trying to do the same thing 🙂

2018-12-16Has turned into a yearly family tradition. Park at the bottom of the hill, get there not too early and dont go all the way to the top, too many people and you can get stuck behind the drum line and its more fun to see them from the front of the pack. Enjoy the drum line as it marches down the street/hill. One of the houses has miniature train sets that you can go inside and see. Then head to The Hat on Lake for a pastrami experience.

2020-12-17It’s just an amazing street regardless of what time of day you decide to take the drive… Of course during the Christmas holiday season it’s truly spectacular

2017-12-10I was at the lighting of Christmas tree Lane with my grandchildren it was there second time it was my first they said last year there was drummers cheerleaders and characters this year just drummers in the parade. The lighting of the trees was nice before the parade. I have lived in Altadena all my life. Its nice to see the trees and drive down the street.
