Certified Restoration did a great job from start to finish. I had contact with everyone from clerical staff, project manager to the owner and everyone was great. My job had several different landmines including my tenants. Tad the project manager was professional, knowledgeable, and very accommodating with the job at hand. I hope I don’t have any other issues with mold, but if I do, it’s good to know I have a company that will deal with the issue in a professional, complete and timely fashion.
Huge thank you to Certified Restoration!! They were the only ones to answer the phone and turns out the only ones to be able to pump out over 300 gallons of water from underneath my home. I had a flood at my residence caused by a neighbor being negligent. I wanted to find somebody who I could trust to remedy the water that was caught between the walls that wouldve caused mold and of course I checked online to find Certified Restoration.Tad came out was very efficient, pleasant to deal with and patient with all of the drama that evolved between my neighbor and their lack of acceptance of responsibility.Each case is unique in every instance of a flood it may have certain similar elements, but no two floods are the same. What I appreciated the most from Tad was the ability to assess the situation I was in and recommend a path forward in a very challenging time. He was responsible almost single-handedly for keeping my patience and sanity in check.As for the owner Michael F., he is really awesome and understanding. At the request of my neighbor he came out to validate the findings that Tad had come to for my crazy neighbor. He knew that this was going to result in an issue because of the insurance and gave me the extra time that I needed to get this situation resolved.I have not resolved the situation with the crazy neighbor however I know that when the time comes I can rely on Michael and his team to be there for me. This is not some large corporation this is what the best of San Diego small business ownership and team has to offer.Thank you to Tad and MICHAEL and the rest of the staff at certified restoration you guys made a difficult time much more bearable than without you!

I had my house going up for sell and right before it was listed. I had a leaking water pipe in bathroom which flooded my hall and master bedroom. I was worried because open house was in only 2 days. Michael came out, heard my story and assured me everything was going to be alright. I was very pleased with his knowledge and professionalism. He really knows his stuff. His crew was there in no time, cleaning and placing the drying equipment. It only took 30hrs from start too finish, to get everything in order. I was impressed with how good of a job his crew did. The the cost was reasonable too, even though It was covered by my insurance company.I highly recommend certification restoration. They are Down to earth, honest. These guys are the greatest!I found a very nice place to rent in Bankers Hill. After accommodating all my things, I still didnt feel comfortable or at home yet. The problem was that the carpeting was in terrible shape.Thomas did an incredible job. I was previously thinking that perhaps I would replace it out-of-pocket. I woke up to a flood due to my water heater. Mike, Tad and his crew came to my rescue. Excellent customer service, above all, they are kind and genuine. They educated me and kept updating me on the progress. They are truly amazing, they worked very well coordiating restoration of my condo with my contractor, and insurance. I felt special and well taken care of. The guys also made sure that my neighbor was not affected by the flood. They inspected her condo to make sure that her walls were dry. They became part of my family I felt bad when they had to pack up their equipments. I would recommend them to anyone, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. We own a unit in Mira Mesa, and there was an accident caused by my tenant in January 2020. The HOAs manager called the emergency team from Certified Restoration, and the rest was history. I want to call out the Manager, Tad. I appreciate his team and their service. Due to Tads experience, he could reduce our unfortunate to lesser pain. He is such a wonderful person! He answered my phone calls early in the morning as well as after-hours (except when he was on the roads). He is the man with his words and delivered all the works on time. What I want to emphasize is that although I did not go with all the recommended jobs that Tad suggested since I am self-insurance in this accident. However, Tad and the entire team from Certified Restoration were still treating me with respect and very professionally. Yes, they are in the business to make a profit, but they are also here to support the community. I am so lucky to come across with Tad and Certified Restoration as well as the entire team from there! In my opinion, Tad has gone beyond his line of duty to help me in this case, and Michael, his company, has given me more service than what I have bargained. My husband and I own a modular home where my parents currently live. After the lines behind the master bathroom toilet leaked onto the flooring (carpet over the base floor - yeah, I have no idea why the previous owners put carpet in the bathroom) for several days before being detected, we knew we needed to bring in professionals for remediation. We were referred to Certified Restoration by a friend who owns a remediation company, but at the time had no capacity to take on our job. Thad, from Certified Restoration, and his team were incredibly professional, punctual and did top-quality work. Thad was very patient explaining his process and the necessary scope of work to my parents. He went above and beyond to ensure my parents were comfortable. My mom told me several times “Thad is such a nice young man”. They also made things very easy when coordinating with our insurance company. Overall, we can’t say enough good things about this company!
Michael and his team at Certified Restoration are amazing! When I came home to a flooded kitchen after a long, relaxing weekend away, I had no idea what to do. After I spent a few minutes searching, I decided to call Certified Restoration since their services were 24 hours and they had so many nice reviews. Im so glad I did! They were very understanding on the phone and were at my house within a half hour to assess the water damage a burst pipe had done to my kitchen. They made sure to spend time explaining to me exactly what the restoration process entailed and gave me a ballpark of when the work would be done. Our 30 gallon aquarium sprung a leak at 1am on New Years Day. Even though it was a holiday, Owner Michael came out in the morning to assess the damage and give us a plan. He was very methodical with his inspection and helped us to remediate the damage right away. He showed genuine concern for our 3 children, (5-years old and younger), and was very friendly toward them while they watched him work. He gave us a heater to start drying out our walls as well as step by step instructions as to how to go about doing it. He also left us with a water meter so we could check out progress. All along the way he made sure to explain things to both myself and my husband so that we understood exactly what to do. He also was very good at communicating the next steps in the process so that we knew when we could expect a call back the next day for his men to come out and complete the process. We are so grateful for Michael and all his help on New Years Day!

Flood Masters did a great job on two of our properties. One had severe flood damage and the other had some mold issues. Flood Masters was fast, efficient, and thorough. I came across Flood Masters and placed a call around 2:30 pm on Monday... they were fixing my unit by 3:00 pm the same day!Everyone I spoke with has been knowledgeable, informative and most important, honest about the issues. The bill came in for much less than anticipated and they gave me cost-effective solutions when they thought their help might have been more costly than alternatives.While I hope I wont be needing their services in a pinch again, I would highly recommend Flood Masters to anyone needing it!
You know its going to be a long night when your child gets out of bed and says, Theres water on the bathroom floor... And Q-tips are floating in it! I was busy with the baby and my husband couldnt even form words to shout down the hall to me. Its. How? I. What? Ugh! Our toilet somehow malfunctioned and he was standing in ankle-deep water. We thought we could take care of the water ourselves with our heavy duty carpet cleaner, but as soon as we would turn it on, it would immediately fill to capacity with water. After doing this a dozen times and watching the water level stay the same, we did some investigative work. Whoops. The water had already gone through walls to soak two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a walk-in closet, and our entire hallway.I jumped on the Internet and found Flood Masters. Michael answered, even though it was late, and said he could get a team out right away. This is too easy, I thought. I told him I wanted to call another company and I found the number for a competitor, those guys with the big, yellow trucks. The man who answered there was very disinterested and even seemed bothered by my call. He told me it was a waste of time for him to come out at night because it would take him over an hour to get ready and drive over and there wasnt anything he could do that late anyway. We would have to wait until morning if we wanted to use their services and he promised me that the damage wouldnt worsen overnight. Incredulous, I asked if there was someone else I could speak to from their company and he said no, that he was the on-call guy for our area.I called Flood Masters back and Michael was informative, enthusiastic, and helped walk me through what I needed to do to make an insurance claim. He also promised he could have a team to our house within 40 minutes. Even better? They arrived in less than 30! Ed and his coworker were prompt, professional, and so kind. My husband and I sat on the couch in a daze, trying to figure out how the flooding had happened and what lay ahead in terms of restoration. The Flood Masters men buzzed around us, getting the water out, removing baseboards, neatly tearing up the carpet, taking out the padding, and setting up equipment. We couldnt get over how quickly and efficiently they worked and how genuinely NICE Ed was.Before we knew it, Flood Masters was leaving in the wee hours of the morning. Ed promised to give us a decent amount of time to sleep before returning later in the day. He arrived back at our home as promised and checked the moisture levels. He rearranged equipment and adjusted as necessary. The next day, Ed again came to our house at an appointed time. Lather, rinse, repeat. He tried to keep a minimal amount of equipment in the house, as it is noisy and generates heat, and would swap out fans and machines as needed. All the while, Ed was very friendly and really just a pleasant person to deal with.We had a snag with our homeowners insurance check for Flood Masters and George was so patient in working with us as we remedied the situation.We 100% recommend Flood Masters and with six kids at home, we now keep their magnet on the fridge! They were prompt and professional, helpful with tips to reduce damage, did great work, and were just wonderful to deal with in an emergency. The night of the flooding, Ed commented that he hadnt seen people act so happy while dealing with such a mess and honestly? A great part of that was due to how well Flood Masters treated us.
I called about water that was coming from my roof into my wall. Michael got back to me immediately and came to my home within 2 hours of my call. He addressed the problem and connected me with a waterproofing company. Amazing service and an excellent company!
These guys are simply amazing. These guys have a heart...yes they care about you as a customer. I have a really bad situation where the water from this current storm (which is causing havoc all over the county) is coming into my basement (semi finished). Luis took my call and told me they would be here asap last Friday. That day was a disaster...(think hospital due to causing an injury in my haste to try and save my basement) But these guys came in like an army and the moment I came back from the hospital and I saw all of their equipment and pumps etc...immediately I felt relieved. Sure the water was still coming in but with their equipment it was going bye-bye fast. All of the guys on the team were true gentleman and amazing. These guys should be on TV! Long story short, the problem I will have to fix once the rain stops but in the meantime, these guys saved my basement. DO NOT HESITATE to call Mike or Luis. I had a flood in a rental property in San Diego. I live in Northern California so I thought the cleanup, insurance coordination and rebuild would be a nightmare. Luckily I found Floodmasters on Yelp. They were at my rental within an hour after I called them. They started cleanup that day. Additionally they found a plumber to pick up and install a faulty hot water (which caused the flood). They handled all of the coordinating with the insurance assessor. Two weeks later everything was done and I had a check from the insurance company to cover it all.
Quick service, honest and reliable. I have had 2 occasions this year where I have needed Certified Restorations services and have been impressed both times. All the employees are respectful and knowledgeable. They are a local company and its always nice to support local business.
Michael and his crew helped me on July 13th of this year. My former tenants were disrespectful, and trashed my almost-new 3yo carpet in my condo rental, tracking cooking oil from the kitchen into the unit! Bad karma.I was thinking that I was going to have to replace the carpet, at an expense of almost $3000, but Michael brought in his hi-powered truck mounted carpet cleaning machine and sucked that nasty oil right out of the carpet! He also made a minor carpet repair for me, at no cost. The carpet looked like new when he was finished.This company is top-notch in my eyes. They seemed to really care about me, and I appreciate that very much! Thank you, Michael, and the CR crew. I found some old water damage with lots of black mold everywhere, while doing a renovation. Ive watched enough home improvement shows to know that mold is serious business. Theres the common stuff, and then theres the toxic, harmful stuff. Without hesitation, I cleared the premises and called several, local, mold remediation businesses. Flood Masters was the only business that didnt give me attitude, were polite, and seeme to truly care about fixing my problem.After initially calling Flood Masters and providing them with my contact information, I was called back, within the hour, by one of their technicians. The other businesses took several hours to get back to me. Not good. I scheduled a time for Flood Masters to come out and assess the problem. Their techician came out on time and gave me a breakdown of the entire process and what to expect. I was impressed at the attention to detail, positive attitude, and knowledgeable explanations made during the assessment.After giving Flood Masters the go-ahead, they came in and took care of business. The damaged structures were removed, and the affected areas were sealed off for two days. The entire ordeal was documented, and included photo updates over email. Outstanding! On the third day, they had the place tested for mold spores using their lab contact. Two days later, I received the lab results. I didnt know there were so many mold varieties. Fortunately, the spore counts were super low and none of the really harmful ones were detected.All, in all, a pleasant and interesting expience. No one wants to have mold, nor deal with remediation. If you have any issues, go with Flood Masters. Theyre local, are real pros, and have excellent customer service. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.
Waking up in the middle of the night to discover your floor submerged in water is a surprisingly overwhelming experience. Having it occur on Labor Day weekend while your significant other is in Las Vegas is a total nightmare. Well, this became my reality last Labor Day Weekend, 2013.I called my insurance. They gave me the names of two of the big national firms, Se*vP#o and Serv*#e Mas*+r. I called both of these flood companies, and decided Id hire which ever one arrived on site first. An entire hour passed, and neither of these reputable national vendors responded.I was forced to call one of my friends to help me clean up. Rather than help, he gave me the number to Flood Masters and told me to call them. While I didnt want to call another of these guys, I was desperate. I called Flood Masters at around 3 AM on Labor Day. I had to leave another message.20 minutes later, my phone rang. It was a gentleman with Flood Masters. He listened to my story and was at my door 20 minutes later. 3 days later, my home was still damaged. But it was not a disaster. Most importantly, it was dry and we were on our way to a full restoration of our home.Thanks so much Mike, and Tad. Flood Masters made everything easy. They even dealt directly with my insurance company and made everything simple.

My carpet was very dirty I was having company from out of state and I needed my carpet clean, Certified Restoration was recommended by a friend and I have to say they where exceptional with the way the clean my carpet, they use top of the line (Green products ) which I needed because of my allergies I can’t have fumes from harsh products, they understood my health problems and can’t thank them enough to see my carpet cleaner and softer than ever beforeThank you Jesus for your extra work 😀

2022-05-05My condo had a random leak issue last week and the moment the Certified Restoration team got to our home there was an immediate relief of stress!Tad was an amazing coordinator - he helped determine the leak origin and was able to recommend an amazing contractor to assist with repairing damages. Tyler and David was such an amazing tag team to have working in our home. They were both extremely informative throughout the entire process and cleaned up after themselves so well. If it wasnt for all the necessary professional grade equipment left in our home, we would have forget they were there! I cant recommend them enough. Huge thanks to Tad, David & Tyler!!

2022-05-24A condo in Rancho Bernardo made me the owner of a hidden, unexpected, and extensive water leak just last week! My HOA recommended Certified Restoration as a fair, highly responsive, and no non-sense water mitigation service provider who will NOT take me for a ride in an emergency (bad bad experience with other water mitigation companies in the years past).I trusted the HOA, called CR, and a responsive, highly professional, and bright young man by the name of Tyler White showed up exactly at the appointment time!I will not bore you with the details. What I will share is that he is on top of his craft, extremely well behaved, patient, caring, and SMART. Not only he did his job perfectly but also he narrow down the detection to an area where the plumber found the leak within 2 hours and fixed it. 2022-05-26I own a 1st floor condo in a 1970s 3 story building and have suffered several floods...Certified Restoration has been wonderful each time I find myself in this unfortunate situation.I like to give a specific shout out to Tad, who helped me manage the process. Tad, was professional and kind during a stressful time. He educated me about how to work with my insurance, options to mitigate costs and he worked well with the other trades people that I needed to coordinate with to restore my condo.Tad made recommendations of other service providers and each of them where equally pleasant to work with during an unpleasant situation.I hope that I dont need these services again, but if I do I will call them again AND if you are reading this because your suffered water damage, give yourself some peace of mind and hire Certified Restoration.

2021-11-26We recently had a mold issue in one of our closets and needed someone to help us with professional mold cleanup. We called Certified Restoration Inc. and were extremely happy to have done so. The entire team was professional and knowledgeable about our issue, walked us through the entire process step-by-step and had the entire process complete in less than 3 days. The mold technician, Tyler, was also extremely polite. professional, and knowledgeable about our issue. He did a great job with the mold cleanup process and even gave us some tips on things we can do to reduce the likelihood of having to deal with this type of issue in the future. All in all, we are extremely happy to have called Certified and 10/10 would recommend them to friends and family.

2022-06-27Very reliable and professional, came to property on weekend to view black mold found under floorboards and conducted full survey of property for quote for services. Also very responsive when I requested a follow-up after work was completed. Theyre priority is making sure youre home is safe for you to live in. Highly recommended.

2021-11-04Certified Restoration is awesome! I recommend them 100%. The kitchen in my condo had a lot of water damage from an outside leak and I was panicked when water started dripping from the ceiling.Tad contacted me right away and got started. He explained everything to me, and has continued to be an invaluable resource anytime I have questions, which is often. Such a great guy!Shout out to the whole crew!! Tomas, Tyler, and Jesus were so helpful and professional. They even found an emergency plumber when the fridge sprung a leak while being moved.Tomas was wonderful and also made sure I understood the process. 2022-03-31We experienced a leak in our roof after this past Monday’s heavy rain. The CR crew was very responsive and came out the following day to assess the situation and immediately started to provide solutions. Tomas came today to perform the demo and initiate the cleaning and drying of the impacted areas. Tomas’ work was superb! The containment areas were well sealed and he even went so far as to make sure no spec of dust was left behind even after demo-ing a large part of the ceiling in our nursery. He was incredibly pleasant to work with and explained the process at each step of the way. You can tell that he really takes pride in his work. Thank you Tomas!

2021-11-10We used Certified Restoration for water damage restoration. Our water heater/pipes burst and had water coming out of the pipes for several days while we were out-of-town. We came back to a nightmare, we called our home insurance and we recommended to Certified Restoration. They came out that same day within an hour. I am so thankful that they were recommended to us. Not only did they do an amazing job with the restoration, they were so caring and responded quickly to all of my text and always answered the phone when I called. 2022-05-26I was buying a house and needed a survey done due to mold concerns. I reached out to them they were very efficient and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. They ended up giving me a written report and the fees were less than a home inspector would’ve charged me.
