Came in a little skeptical but the food delivered, ordered the asada burrito and it was great. The salsa they provide really topped it off nicely. Fresh made. Staff was nice. Will be looking forward to the next time I visit this hidden lil place that I would have easily overlooked had it not been for the reviews.
This is my go to. Fresh takes longer! Have a drink and relax. Best rice and beans. Try everything, you cant miss. My favorite, shredded beef tacos, and bean and cheese burritos.
I love how flavorful their carne asado burrito was. Quality ingredients, fresh as you can get. I’ll definitely eat here again!I love how kind and “mom & pop” feeling this place felt. You know your dollar goes right to their home, not to some boss who never steps foot in the place.While waiting to order another patron commented how much he loves this place, that he comes here all the time. I can say I echo his sentiments.
Ordered a Carne Asada Torta, meat did mot have much flavor and it was kind of small. Salsa was delicious and horchata was on point. Took a while to get food but I guess thats ok when food tastes fresh.
The chilaquiles are fire and the pastor is great too!
Definitely good food that is freshly made. Service is a tad bit slow because it is freshly made. We went through the drive-thru which is convenient as it is very small establishment. It didnt get 5 stars because the prices are a bit high as compared to similar establishments.The chilaquiles were tasty and came with beans and avocado, a bonus.

Absolutely my favorite place to eat! I like my green chili hot and they make hot one! I buy it by the pint. My husband and I drive a long way just to eat here. Everything is cooked to order so be prepared to wait but the food is so good!
This place is a real family establishment. Their food is always on point and sometimes Mexican food can seem generic in Southern California or California in general but not this place. They make all their food from scratch and the taste is wonderful. I recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Mexican food and in the Moreno Valley Area.
Love the taco Tuesday deals and their burritos are bomb as well! I will try more options soon but Im sure they are good. I love their salsa its fresh and HOT!

I have been going here for a while now for the taco tuesday specials. The tacos are really good especially for the price but Im not sure if its worth it anymore. It takes about 30 min to get your order of street tacos, i could understand if it was something like chimichangas or maybe enchiladas but not street tacos and the service has gone down hill lately too. I started calling my order in and then picking it up but lately theyre phone is broken. Come on carminas spring for a new phone your probably loosing money. Its too bad because the food is pretty good.

I went today and got six tacos and not only did I get horrible service from some old lady that had gray hair and glasses and had no idea of what customer service means their tacos were really dry and had no flavor at all!!!! Even the tortillas were stiff... 😟😣 I threw them in the trash after eating one of them and just ate a sandwich that I had in my fridge and go to feels tacos or Tijuana tacos for a better meal
The absolute most horrible customer service I have ever had. First we were told that there wasnt anymore menudo. Why would you advertise menudo but run out so early in the morning? After waiting 30 minutes for our food, they bring our plate over and said “Dont eat the beans, they are dry” she said “I am bringing you fresh beans.” So then why even serve them? Instead of just taking our plates back to give us fresh beans, she had us scrape the beans off of our plate. Although I wasnt able to scrape my beans off because I didnt even have a fork. I had to ask her for a fork.. All of a sudden they had menudo. They bring out a bowl of what seemed to be canned menudo. We asked for flour tortillas but got corn. We hadnt even completely finished our meal and some little old lady walks over to our table with a rag in her hand ready to clean the table. I think its rude to rush your customers out. Horrible horrible place. Im shocked they have been in business this long but still have not learned what good customer service is. They did seem like nice people though. Looks like its a mom and pops family owned. 3 generations working there.
This place is amazing!!!! My husband introduced me to their amazing food back in 09. The ceviche is compared to none and their enchiladas plate: omg God to die for. I would totally rate this restaurant 10 stars if u could. I know they might not greet customers but quite frankly I dont care the food totally makes up for it. If I had not tried their food at their other location I would not trust it considering its on Valero gas station. But hey Ive learner not to judge a book by its cover!!!
5+ for food and flavor. Usually crowded on Sunday a.m. Ive been eating Carminas for more than 30 years, long before she opened this location. I drive almost weekly from Grand Terrace to MoVal because she has best food in IE as far as I am concerned.

Bad customer service. Waited in line an they jus stared me down. My family owns a shop also.. so i kno customer service is key. Itll be polite to say, jus a second. Or one minute. But nope . So I bounced!
Been coming to carminas since the late 90s when they were on the south side of moval. Best Mexican food in town for sure. And their tamales are a favorite for Christmas time. Always get at least 3 dozen every year.
This is a great place for authentic Mexican food hidden behind the gas station lot of people dont know about it I think they have a drive-thru and its very convenient

I love menudo & i wont ever buy it from here again it has no flavor i asked for the large bowl & it looked more like small not only the flavor wasnt good but u get more broth than meat & very expensive i dont mind paying allot for my food but it better be worth it. If u like menudo i dont recomend this place! I paid 9.40 for a LARGE BOWL
I really enjoyed the food from this restaurant however the employees are not very friendly and will sometimes just stare at you. Ive eaten here many times in the past two years and they never greet their customers and the wait for your food can sometimes be too long. I would not recommend eating here if you are in a hurry.

Clean restaurant; food is very authentic Mexican, tastes very homemade as opposed to mechanically-made; appears to be a family-run restaurant thus entails some expected characteristics: the kitchen seems disorganized, customer takes around 10-15 minutes to be served, certain dishes are served on disposable plates, etc. However, food is good.

The food is very delicious, we are working in Moreno Valley and we loved the food asada burritos and asada sope, delicious freshly made, the only thing that when I talk on the phone to order they do not answer right now I have called 5 times it rings and nobody answers as there is no volume on the phone and the first day I called I think the phone was off the hook because I was talking for half an hour and busy when I came to order at the Drive Thru I told the lady that if they did not take orders over the phone and she said that maybe it was off the hook, I will have What to eat elsewhere because I only have 30 minutes of lunch. Blessings

It Reminds me of the way my mom use to make them add a little grease to give it Flavor!! YUM!😋If your like me, and know The Greasier, The Better! 2022-07-27I got a wet carne asada burrito no beans this morning and let me tell you, THIS WAS THE BEST BURRITO I’VE EVER HAD HANDS DOWN!!!! It was so tender and moist and juicy. The meat had perfect fat running through it adding amazing flavor and juiciness. No gristle no chewy bits you’d normally have to spit out! Plus the price was below average. I added it wet plus I added chunky guacamole and sour cream and it was $12.I can’t stress this enough, if you want great flavorful tasty Mexican food for an unbelievable price EAT HERE!!!!!

2022-05-14The taco shells were not crispy, they were hard and look like the were sitting out for along time. I had taco combo with beans and rice, the beans were excellent, rice was not so good. And the meat was not good in the tacos shredded beef.

2019-05-25Wow I see the reviews and decided to go through the drive thru and get enchiladas. I was not disappointed. Served fresh and hot! The rice and beans are bomb!! The cheese was melty and red sauce very tasty. 10/10 would go back!!
