What a great little hotel! Walking distance to Disneyland (though there is a free shuttle provided by the hotel), lovely, large rooms, friendly staff and breakfast included. What more could you ask for? A decent rate for accommodation - Candy Cane Inn also has very reasonable rates. And free parking! Definitely recommend this place!
Ive been to Disneyland a number of times but this is my first time staying at Candy Cane and theyve earned a repeat customer. They are excellent! The room was decent not the best Ive stayed in but it was clean and well maintained. They have breakfast which is a plus. The grounds were nice and well kept. The shuttle was a nice option (leaves evert 1/2 hr) but its also close enough to walk to both Disneyland or the Convention Center. The issues I had were solved quickly and efficiently by a great staff who were attentive and friendly. I fully intend to return to Candy Cane Inn in the future.
We stayed at Candy Cane Inn from July 16-21. I picked this Hotel based on excellent reviews and proximity to California Adventure and Disneyland parks. We were not disappointed. The place is welcoming and clean. The rooms need upgrade, but I found our room to be in excellent condition and clean. Our room had a view of the fireworks at Disneyland park. Two points to consider Daily Continental Breakfast Included: Cereal bar outside by the pool and Ham & Cheese sandwiches, Fruits, Donuts, Cheese, hard boil eggs, Coffee, Hot cocoa, tea, Orange Juice and Milk. Second point Free Shuttle service To and from Disneyland Parks. They run every 30 minutes at 15/45. They provide service at 6:30 AM for the Magic Hour until the park closes. They offer shuttle services to Airports for a fee. There’s a CVS,7/11 and restaurants nearby. This place is run by good management the staff is friendly and they look happy to work there. The exterior is kept in good shape and the gardens are wonderful. Great Job Candy Cane Inn.
My wife and I enjoy this hotel. Its within walking distance of Disneyland, rooms are clean and its fairly quiet here. Only downside is getting out of the hotel is your needing to go on the 5 South its a little pain to get out to make a u turn to get to the freeway. Prices are a little in the high side but your paying for that convenience. Breakfast in the morning is ok but didnt like how half the breakfast items are inside and the other half are outside near the pool area. Overall its a nice place.
Great place to stay walking distance to Disneyland. The upgraded rooms have nice laminate flooring. Beds are comfortable, upgraded rooms have plenty of space. And it has a descent complimentary breakfast that you can have delivered to your room. Some things in the upgraded rooms are still old, but if youre here its to go to Disneyland not hangout in the room.
Weve stayed here quite a few times,as it is our go to hotel. The rooms are always very clean, the staff are kind and quick to respond to any need you may have. Breakfast is good and filling for a early Disneyland trip. It is also a short walk to the park. It seems in the last few years the have been remodeling their rooms, the wood lament floors are nice touch and the air conditioning is amazing. Especially with the weather as it has been. Worth the stay, always!
The rooms are small, but easy to have 4 adults in 1 room. The breakfast is good, the shuttle to Disneyland is every half hour, the rooms are clean, smell good, linens arent cheap & thin. Beds are medium firmness, but double if 2 beds. TV gets quite a few channels,, mini fridge keeps sodas & water cold. Shower has good water pressure. The a/c works well, wish it had more than 2 speeds and quieter. Staff is very inviting and handles issues fast. Parking is 1 car, 1 spot. You may not get a spot near your room. But keep a lookout! We compare candy Cane as the standard for motels.
Very clean, and a nice breakfast. Short walk to Disneyland, but also has a shuttle. Reasonable room rates. Only complaints, out side noise travels into rooms more than I feel should. I felt the bed was comfortable but my wife did not. Overall I would definitely stay here again.
Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Location to Disneyland was excellent. They dont nickel and dime you for parking or their shuttle (which runs every 30 minutes), since both are at no additional charge. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Only things I would have recommend would be microwaves in the rooms and a few more allergy friendly breakfast options. Also, maybe starting breakfast 30 minutes earlier to account for magic mornings, since if you want to do one you wont be able to make the hotels breakfast times.
This place is all about location. Its in walking distance of Disneyland, there is a Starbucks, several convenience stores, drug stores and food options all around. They dont charge for parking and they have a free shuttle to Disneyland that runs every half hour. The pools are alright and one is a kiddie pool. Last time I was here the rooms were renovated which was nice and they have a laundry room. I would recommend staying here.
We stayed here for 5 night the week before Christmas. This was our first visit to the Candy Cane Inn and we have many great things to say about this place! Our room was very clean and updated. We stayed in a Premium room which was quiet and had daily breakfast delivered. The walk to the park isnt bad but the shuttle was so nice to have to save your legs and energy. It ran right on time and the drivers were very friendly. We will definitely be back for our next trip. *My tip if youre staying upstairs is to just fold and load your stroller in the trunk of the car when heading back to the room. Worked great for us and cut down on clutter in the room.
Wonderful staff, beautiful inn, spacious rooms, and extremely clean. I love that their pools are heated and the breakfast is always delicious. Good strong coffee to help take on a full day at both Disneyland parks and the free shuttle service is exactly what my feet needed after a long day. Very kid friendly and quite. This is probably one of the most comfortable inns that I have ever stayed at. I will only stay here for all my Disneyland/California Adventure vacations. Thank you for making all my stays magical!
I have been to this motel several times when visiting Anaheim to go to Disneyland. I have never been disappointed at any time that I have stayed at this motel. This visit was no exception. The landscaping is still as gorgeous as it always has been. The staff is still as accommodating as they always have been. My husband was kind enough to get us a suite with the option of having breakfast delivered to us every morning. That was a wonderful upgrade. Everyone in our party enjoyed that. My husband also did the upgrade for we didnt have to check out until 2 p.m. the day we left. It was nice to take our time to sleep in and then to pack our bags before we had to leave.
This place made our Disney vacation amazing! It was so close to the park we walked there and back 2 out of our 3 days. The rooms? Super clean with a pleasant smell, not chemical, just pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was a great surprise as well. You can judge a hotel by the cleanliness of the showers, this one was pristine.
This is a beautiful property and only minutes from Disney! Theres a free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes but you can walk it in 10 minutes. The room was nicely furnished and very modern. We did not use the pool, hot tub or fitness center but they were available. The continental breakfast was extensive with eggs, cheese, cereal and all sorts of pastries that were from a local bakery and all was delicious. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. The staff was very nice and accommodating. They stored our luggage since we arrived early and although there is no office center, the front desk printed our boarding passes for us. I would highly recommend this resort!
The hotel was well kept and clean. The rooms were updated and of average size for our family of 4. Its within walking distance to Disneyland- youll end up on the entrance opposite to Downtown Disney. Parking was included too. But they also provide free shuttle service to Disneyland as well which is very convenient. The breakfast which was included was adequate (donuts, muffins, crossaints, yogurt, apples, bananas, eggs plus coffee or juice). They also have a pool and hot tub area. Will definitely be back.
This place is this hidden gem right next to Disneyland. You can actually see the tip of a mountain range of Cars Land behind the hotel at its furthest back corner. My recent stay here was amazing. The service was great, the staff were friendly, the breakfast delivered to my door was fantastic. This place is walking distance from the entrance of Disney, but they also do offer a shuttle themselves that can take you to the park. I would for sure stay again.
The Candy Cane Inn is a great place to stay. I stay here every year for my Disneyland trip. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean. Free breakfast in the mornings with a pretty good spread. Pool and hot tub. Hot tub in amazing after a long day in the park. Hotel lobby has a little store with snacks and souvenirs. Definitely recommend this hotel.
I have stayed at the Candy Cane Inn before and loved it. This time was even better. The location is great. We walked to the park and took the shuttle home at night. There are no added fees great parking. Rooms were well kept. We upgraded and had breakfast delivered to us every morning. Which made it nice when your rushing to the park. The breakfast is actually really good for a continental breakfast. Best I’ve had.
My boyfriend and I recently stayed there for my Birthday/Trip to Disney. The staff was excellent, they left me a Birthday card and extra goodies! Rooms were clean, breakfast was delivered in the morning and extra snacks were waiting for us when we returned to our room.We will definitely be staying with them again!
Great value and friendly too! For the past 20+ years weve typically stayed at one of the resort hotels. This time around we were with a band group and didnt have that option so we werent exactly sure what to expect. We were super pleased by the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, the quiet parking/street noise, the clean and well maintained pool area, and the fantastic breakfast arrangement. Well definitely keep the Candy Cane Inn on our short list for places to stay around Disneyland.
Great customer service, very clean and modern rooms; for an excellent price. Complimentary breakfast daily, from 6:30am to 9:30am. Offering cold cereal, assortment of pastries and fresh fruit. They have a guest shuttle to Disneyland, every 30 minutes from the hotel. They have a pool and hot tub that is clean, along with a small gym. Great place to stay for a fair price.
The Candy Cane Inn isnt even that expensive for the service we got! Its walking distance from the park, but if you dont want to walk there is a free shuttle that runs every 20 minutes from the Inn to Disneyland. The receptionists were very nice. The breakfast is also really good. They have a lot of different options its not just the basics. I would recommend staying here if you are going to Disneyland. The rates change, but we spent 200 dollars for 2 nights, which included breakfast, the shuttle, cable, etc. Highly recommend.
Just got done with our stay at Candy Cane Inn. We stayed in their premium room, and it was well worth it. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We had breakfast delivered to our room every morning (you can choose the time you want them to deliver it). We requested extra towels, and they were quickly delivered. Within walking distance to Disneyland - however we found that their shuttle was quite convenient and well-timed as well (leaves the hotel at on the hour and 1/2 hour, and returns from the park at the 15 and 45 mark). It was our first time staying at the Candy Cane, but we will definitely be back. According to my wife (who is a clean freak) the rooms were clean. And the water pressure in the shower was awesome! Thanks Candy Cane! Hope to see ya again soon!
Great location, excellent service, and an upgraded continental breakfast with enough nourishment to last you til lunch. The rooms are not big, but how much time are you going to spend in bed vs hanging out at the Disneyland Resort? Did I mention the dedicated shuttle to Disneyland? While its not always needed due to the proximity of the parks, it does come in handy when your feet need a break. Give this place a try!
We have stayed here a couple of times and definitely will be back. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If you opt for the premium room, breakfast will be delivered to you in the morning. They also have their own shuttle to Disneyland, which is a big plus for me.It would be nice if there was an elevator for bringing luggage up, but thats not really a big deal.
Great hotel walking distance from Disneyland. We have stayed here for the past 8 years for our annual Disney trip. The free breakfast in the morning has a lot of variety, the rooms are nice and there is a free shuttle to Disney every 30 mins if you choose not to do the 10 min walk to the Disney Park. The hotel atmosphere is very festive and the staff is very nice. Highly recommend staying here.
I made the reservation for this stay months before my trip, having quite a lengthy discussion with the individual booking the stay. BEWARE of the information you receive! I was told the hotel had a view of California Adventure Cars Land and you could see the nightly fireworks show from the balcony of your room. First of all, there are NO balconies with these rooms. In fact, there are no windows even facing California Adventure. The only available view from ANY room is of the hotel parking lot. What they call your room balcony is the outside walk-way that runs the length and width of the hotel in front of ALL the rooms, just like a Motel 6. If you want to see the fireworks you need to walk to the corner of the outside walkway and peer between the rooms to see the fireworks in the sky, or stand out in the parking lot. Yes, they back up to Cars Land, but what you see from the parking lot is the wood framing holding up the mountain backdrop paintings on the other side. I immediately spoke with the hotel manager when I checked in, expressed my dissatisfaction, and told him I wanted to be compensated in some way for being lied to about both the view to Cars Land and my non-existent balcony. He told me he would look at my charges and that was the end of it. At checkout no compensation was reflected. Im sure he never gave it a second thought the minute I walked away. Just another lie. Months ago I could have reserved a room with a view at a different hotel, but on check-in its a little too late for that.Regardless of everything above, Im leaving a 3 because there were some very nice things about this hotel. If you stay in one of their premium rooms they deliver their limited continental breakfast to your room each morning. Every night someone comes around to ask if you have any trash youd like picked up and then gives you a chocolate. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Theres a free hotel shuttle that runs every 30 minutes. The rooms are very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. The premium rooms are at the far end of the location which makes them very quiet considering this hotel is right on South Harbor Blvd.
This place is super cute! Its close to the parks but had a free shuttle every 30 mins which saves your poor feet! The beds are amazing! They are comfortable and clean. They have a decent breakfast spread to get you going for your day at the parks. All of the staff are super friendly. I recommend giving this place a try!
My family and I have stayed here for the last passed two year. We love it so much! Their staff is really helpful and nice. They have a nice little breakfast to hold you over until you get to the parks. They have a free shuttle that take you to and from the parks. The shuttle drivers are so sweet and funny. My family and I feel at home here because of how cozy it feels here. If your think of stay at this inn a would recommend staying.
Ive stayed here several times. Have tried other places when at Disneyland but I always come back here. Nice workers who are sincere, not that fake Disney nice. Clean rooms, decent food for the price. Bus for transportation to park. Short walk to CVS and a couple other stores. Most places around here are tense and not relaxing because of the bustle. Not here, they have a cool, relaxed atmosphere to set you at ease. I love the vegetation they have groomed around the complex. This place has been around forever and there is a reason......their customers love this place. Im coming back again!
One of the only non-national-branded hotels I stay at. I have to admit, I’m a bit of a “Hilton-snob” due to my frequent business travels and status that I’ve maintained with their rewards program. When in Anaheim for a trip to Disneyland I could easily stay at a Hilton branded property but I choose Candy Cane Inn every time. Their customer service is second to none, the rooms are clean and quiet, the shuttle is easy if you don’t want to walk and the breakfast has enough selection to start the day. My first stay was in 1994, as a child and I’ve returned with my own child since then.I would highly recommend them!
Rooms are dated, but pleasant enough. The real draw here is the location, which is perfect. Theres a free shuttle to Disneyland every half hour, but if you dont want to wait its just as easy to walk there. Theres a 7-11 right next door for all the travel essentials youll inevitably forget (or if you just want a super cheap hot dog) and theres a few restaurants (including a 24-hour Subway) across the street if youd rather not eat in the parks. The rates are reasonable, making this a great choice if you are trying to do Disney on a budget.
We’ve stayed at Candy Cane Inn every trip to Disneyland for the past 10 years or so. We love everything about this place- it is our “home away from home.” Great staff, clean rooms, free breakfast and regular exclusive shuttle that runs all day. If you choose to walk it is a quick, 10 minutes to the front gates.
My family always stayed here during trips to Disneyland while I was growing up. I have continued to stay here every time we go to Disneyland because it’s by far the cleanest and nicest hotel and it’s so close to Disneyland. The free shuttle is awesome but it’s also close enough to walk. In all the years I’ve stayed here both with my parents and now with my son it’s been beautiful and clean! I love all the flowers hanging and the breakfast is my sons favorite! Heading back in April and cannot wait! Makes the trip more fun when you know you have a nice clean place to sleep after a fun day In the park and where all the employees are kind and helpful!!!
Usually clean but this last trip wasnt as good. Our room this trip seemed a bit dirty so we figured we were in a pet room. When we asked at the front desk the employee told us the whole place is pet friendly. They also said that pet are mostly on the first floor and in our experience the second floor does seem much cleaner. It also has a shuttle to the Disney parks for guests but its close enough that we just walked most of the time. Its still one of the better places around for the price as most in the area seem to be pet friendly.
My family and I stayed at Candy Cane for 2 nights and and we were in the deluxe rm and it was the best stay! Beds are incredible, staff is very warming and friendly, shuttle drivers Lee and Cesar are super nice and great with the kids, Free continental breakfast buffet. Staying here made our Disney trip wonderful...we will be staying here when we come to Disney every month :)
A great value, the staff were all courteous and seemed genuinely happy to help, the shuttle (their own private one, not one that you have to ride around to all the different hotels to get to the one youre staying at) runs on time, and the price for the rooms we stayed in was fantastic, especially since it is right next to Disneyland which is what we were in town for. The grounds are very neatly landscaped and clean, the breakfast served was simple but good quality and a great start for the day. The pool area is nice for relaxing and were couldnt be happier.
Very quaint, cozy hotel with beautiful flowers and landscaping. Breakfast was good. Within walking distance of Disneyland Park. But it also offers a free shuttle ride every half an hour which is nice to take advantage of since there will be a lot of walking and standing at the park.
This was the second time weve stayed at the Candy Cane Inn and I absolutely love it. The rooms are so nice with the wooden shutters. There is a coffee maker and refrigerator. The layout is really nice with the pool and breakfast area in the center. The shuttle is a real bonus when you are coming back from the parks and exhausted. The staff is always friendly. They even let me park my car and use the shuttle after I checked out for our last day at the park, which saved me a lot of time. I will always come here during our trips to Disneyland. Just a note that there isnt an elevator, so you have to lug your bags up the stairs.
This is our second year coming here and I absolutely love coming here with my little ones. I only have great things to say about Candy Cane Inn. It has great service and amenities that other larger chain hotels just do not offer. The breakfast is so perfect for being able to grab a quick bite before venturing off to Disneyland. And the staff is always friendly and helpful . Would highly recommend to families who are looking for a place to stay for Disney that wont break the bank .
We just stayed over Presidents Day weekend. Our stay was awesome. No complaints. We stayed in a premium room and our breakfast was delivered to us every morning. The service was great, the rooms have been updated and the beds are super comfy. I usually don’t sleep well in hotels but I slept great every night. The shuttle was always on time and the drivers were great. On the rainy nights they even dropped us off right in front of our room. Every night the staff stopped by to see if we needed any extra blankets or pillows. They even brought us a popcorn bucket with cookies, popcorn, and goodies. We will be back again, for sure!!!!
We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn for five nights while we visited Disneyland and California adventure. The hotel is walking distance to Disneyland and also provides a shuttle back and forth every 30 mins. The beds were also comfortable to come back to after a long day. I do wish there was a microwave in the room to be able to warm things up and you can also hear every time someone used any water or flushed a toilet. But other than that it is a very nice place to stay and I would stay there again if I visit Anaheim again.
This is a lovely little place. Staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are nicely decorated and well maintained. The pool is heated, which is a nice treat in February. A good quality breakfast is included, although its carb heavy. And you cannot beat the location. Easy walking to Disney, but they have a free shuttle for those who get their share of walking in the park. 100% recommend!
We had a great stay at the Candy Cane Inn. Every staff member (front desk workers, shuttle drivers, and housekeeping) was kind, polite, respectful, helpful, and professional. They went out of the way to make our stay pleasant. The rooms were clean, well furnished, and very cozy. The hotel is very close to the parks, and the shuttle was always on time. We will definitely stay here again!
We loved the convenience of this hotel. The delicious free breakfasts with an amazing spread of donuts, muffins, bagels and breakfast croissants among other things. The pool was nice and the grounds were beautiful! It was a nice short walk to the maingates, but there is also a free shuttle you can take just for guests of the Candy Cane Inn. Loved our stay!
First stay and i have to say i am very impressed. Reserved a standard room but asked to change to ADA room for my mom which changed it to a deluxe for only 10.00 more and it was adjoined to my brothers familys room so it worked out perfectly. They said the pool was heated on the website but it was cold to me. They even have a kiddie pool and the pool stays open till 11! The breakfast was everything I imagined and more! The room was perfect. I love the extra blanket. Love the bathtub. Love the coffee and infused water in the lobby and candy canes. Very easy check-in process. Very fast response to towel requests. Very comfortable beds. Love the soda and snack machine. Very well maintained grounds. Cute little souvenir shop. Loved the shuttle but such a quick walk to the park you really dont even need it. Cant wait to go back! Very comfortable stay! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
We stayed here for our trip to Disneyland. Our room exceeded our expectations. It was large, clean, and had everything we could need (fridge, mircrowave, table&chairs, etc). The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The complimentary shuttle service to and from Disneyland was essential, and the drivers were very friendly and punctual. All in all, we will be staying here for all our future Disneyland endeavors, and would recommend it whole-heartedly to others looking for a comfortable place to stay in Anaheim.
Super convenient place to stay for Disneyland trip. Its down the block (you can see California Adventure attractions from parking lot) and while they have a shuttle every half hour we found it easier just to walk. As a hotel its fine - they have beds, breakfast, clean rooms and a mini-fridge - but when so much of a Disney trip can be stressful the convenience of walking back to your room for quick break is king!
What a great little hotel! Youre probably thinking of staying here to visit Disneyland. If youve stayed on Disney properties, the Candy Cane is equivalent to a moderate resort. The rooms are clean and of a reasonable size with great toiletries and good TV offerings. The beds are comfortable with crisp white sheets. Each room has an in wall heater/air conditioner. The free breakfast consists of a selection of pastries, bagels and donuts along with cold cereals, yogurts, cheese, hard boiled eggs and various other bits and pieces. Juices, milk and hot drinks are provided, including hot chocolate. The fresh, chewy bagels and sweet, fluffy donuts are excellent. The pool is small and plain but deep and clean with a hot tub area and a toddler area. Dont expect to do laps in it, but its a great place to cool off with the family. The walk to Disneyland from the hotel is about 10 minutes at a moderate pace. The hotel does provide a shuttle but it takes longer than walking - Id skip it. If you can, get a room thats close to the entrance. Not only do you have great access to the pool and breakfast but youll be glad to save those extra few hundred steps after a long day in the parks. Overall a great stay, recommended!
This place was really great for walking to the park, its very close by. And if you get tired of walking there and back, they do have a shuttle that picks up every 30 mins. The continental breakfast was pretty good there are a lot of baked goods but they also provide cheese, yogurt, and fruit. The room itself was a good size, there were three adults and two toddlers on our trip and we had enough room to fit my daughters port-a-crib. The one big issue I had was how filthy the floors were, it was like they were never cleaned. We didnt think that would happen with wood flooring, but it was just gross.
We have stayed at (and ONLY) the Candy Cane Inn... We travel from San Francisco at least 3 times a year to visit Disneyland. The Candy Cane Inn is amazing place to stay. The atmosphere, Cleanliness, and the staff are amazing. We try and stay around or near room #104... Walk right outside to the park shuttle, very close to the 2 pools and hot tub, just a 5 minute walk to the Park, and right next to the HOT breakfast every morning. Cant wait for December for our next trip.
The staff at the front desk are always friendly and would always greet us everytime we walked in. The complimentary breakfast was perfect for the adults and kids in our group. Eating area was always kept clean and items were always replenished. The Inn also provided free shuttle service to Disneyland. Lee, the driver, was always so kind to my mom and would always make sure to bring out the stool for her so that she would have an easier time entering and exiting the shuttle. The only improvement suggested was to have carpeting in our room. The other room we had did have carpeting. Overall, fantastic experience!
The Candy Cane Inn was a wonderful place to stay. The room was clean, the breakfast bar was plentiful, the employees were all pleasant, and most importantly it was within walking distance of Disneyland. They also provided a complimentary shuttle to and from the parks which was great for at night when we didnt want to walk anymore. We would certainly stay there again.
Our stay here was really a mixed bag. This is one of the older motor lodges erected around Disneyland. But the owners have done a good job maintaining and updating it over the years. Yet, it still has very tight and limited parking and the basic old characteristic of exterior hallways arranged in a horseshoe around a central pool and office area. The proximity to The Disneyland Resort was great, it was nice to have shuttle service (although we usually just walked), and the morning breakfast was a nice amenity to help get things going in the morning. We would consider going back, but there are definite trade-offs to consider.
My husband, kids and I stayed here for our Disney getaway weekend and thought it was great. First of all they have a nice pool which was loved equally by both my kids and husband! It was nearly 100 during the day the entire time we stayed here so the water was very refreshing when we weren’t roaming around the theme park. The staff was super friendly and helped make sure we had a great stay! I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay while in Anaheim!
We stayed one night and it was lovely. My group consisted of two adults and two children. We opted for the bigger room with two queen beds. We could not be more happy that we did. The rooms are very clean with so much space for our stroller and everyone to move around comfortably. All of the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. We visited the parks on our stay and it was so awesome that they have shuttles running throughout the day and even into the night. We even had our complementary breakfast delivered to our room. I will definitely be returning in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean, simple, had everything we needed, and so close to Disneyland. If you dont want to take the free shuttle, you can walk there in about 5-10 minutes. My ONLY complaint, is when we arrived early (after waking up at 2am and driving 6 hours), hoping to get into the park at 8am, they wouldnt give us a parking pass until 11am. We really didnt want to pay to park at Disney (one of the reasons we chose the hotel in the first place). So, that bothered me, and it threw off our morning, but Id go back, so 5 star it is.
About ten minutes walk from Disneyland. Military rates available (about half price). Handicap access available. Good continental breakfast, hot showers with good water pressure and clean ice to refill your water bottles. Clean rooms, beds comfortable enough to sleep in and feel refreshed even after a long day.
Nothing special about the rooms, pretty average all around, old room but kept up. There are beautiful flowers surrounding the Motel and the staff was pleasant. The water pressure was not great and if you stay in the shower too long the water would start to build up around you feet😬.We utilized their free bus service to Disneyland every day were were there (although we did also walk back and forth as well) & the bus driver was always very prompt and friendly. I do believe the rooms are price over what they are worth but the location obviously changes things.
This is the second time we have stayed. Found it as a fluke by recommendation. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Yes it’s an older property, but it doesn’t feel like it. The rooms are nice sized and clean. The continental breakfast is good and sufficient. The location to the parks is great as well. Shuttle service is offered to/park entrance as well and runs on a regular schedule.
Weve been coming here since my kids were young because they cleaned their carpet/hardwood floors (and my son put everything in his mouth then) and theyre in college now. Our experiences here have always been stellar!!! Their extended continental breakfast is the best of the hotels weve stayed at around the Disneyland resort as well!
We stay here multiple times a year, this is the only hotel we ever stay at. Free breakfast, free shuttle, free parking and very clean. The property is beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly. They have AAA and Annual Pass holder discounts and once you stay a gift certificate for $10 off per night of your next stay. How could you want to stay anywhere else? We love this hotel having stayed here well over ten times its the only place I recommend when friends and family come to Disneyland.
This place is fantastic and for the location, is perfectly priced. The parking is also free if you are a guest. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the Disney entrance, or you can take their courtesy shuttle that runs back and forth every 30 minutes. If you are looking to stay close to the park but dont want to spend Disney resort prices, Candy Cane Inn is absolutely worth looking in to. I know I will be coming back for sure.
Inexpensive, close to Disney, military discount, clean, quiet, and a little sparse but the free breakfast is nice and accommodations are good. We have stayed here on 3 separate occasions and all were enjoyable. This would be my #1 economy hotel, especially for families as it is a short 15 minute walk to the gates.
So sweet!! Staff is friendly and helpful, so they became Santas little helpers and gave us a small present for our stay during Christmas :) Its very well located (if youre going to Disneyland). Breakfast, comfy beds, parking & shuttle included in the fee. Though its old, it certainly doesnt feel like it.
Took my family to Disney for a 4 day stay the first week of December. The inn is quiet and clean and is the best bang for the buck. The continental breakfast was fresh. Easy walking distance to Disney if you so choose. The shuttle is convenient and clean. We will make this our only stay when visiting Disney in the future. They accommodated our early arrival as well as our late departure. We are so glad we chose this place to stay at.
Very well kept motel extremely close to Disneyland. Clean rooms with air conditioning, Friendly staff, Well kept grounds. Pool is clean and great for an afternoon break. Breakfast included pastries cereal, fruit, coffee and juice. Great to energize before hitting the parks.
Hotel is clean, presentable and about 10 min walk from Disneyland. Price is good at less than $150/night, continental breakfast, free parking and complimentary shuttle to and from Disneyland. If it werent for the added benefits it would struggle to earn a 3 star. The room is reminiscent of a time before modern day hotel design ie. Low ceilings, humid and cramped. Its worth the money, but dont expect a room like you could get from The Hilton or even a Holiday Inn Express.
Overall a very positive experience!Location: Just a few minutes walk from Disneyland.A major plus is their dedicated shuttle to and from Disneyland Park for those times where you just cant walk anymore!Free Breakfast! Our premium room came with it delivered right to our door, but everyone has access to complimentary breakfast options starting at 6:30am in the front building.Pool is open until 11pm, there are two jacuzzis as well.Wonderful and fast service when we requested a pull-away bed or asked for more pillows. They even have free Candy Canes and pens shapes like them too!
We love to stay at Candy Cane Inn whenever we come to Anaheim and are planning on going to Disneyland. When they have rooms available this is our first choice. Our last stay was on 4/20/2017 for 3 nights. We stayed in the deluxe room 141. The perks of staying here are many but Ill mention the few that stand out. Let me start by saying the hospitality of everyone working at Candy Cane Inn is exceptional. For example after our most recent stay we contacted housekeeping regarding us forgetting our pillow there. They quickly retrieved it and mailed it back to us. Very grateful for their kindness and going above the standard to help us with that issue. Moving on not to another benefit of the Candy Cane Inn is its fantastically close location to Disneyland. One can easily walk there or take the complementary shuttle Candy Cane Inn has for their guests and ride to the park if they choose. If you stay in one of the Deluxe rooms breakfast will be brought to your door in the morning if you like. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are quaint and have a simple but homey feel. Also the parking is free.
Location, location, location! The hotel has parking right in front of your room with a decent continental breakfast. The pool area is a good size and the rooms are dated but clean, but what makes this place amazing is the location literally next to Disneyland park. Its only about a 15 minute walk from your room to the front gates.
We have stayed at various hotels near Disneyland and throughout the year Candy Cane Inn has always been our favorite! They have bend over backwards to accommodate their customers. The shuttle is so great to take when you have been walking all day yet the Inn is close enough to walk to Disneyland if you prefer. We have had a group of 14 stay there at the same time and everyone loved it- kids thru adults. My daughters family stayed at a more expensive hotel in the area and she said it did not compare to the service and cleanliness of Candy Cane. She said from now on that is the only hotel in the area she will use - same for me! They give military discounts and discounts for AARP members - another reason we go there.
The grounds are nice (pool, patios, etc). The amount of parking is terrible. Our room had a musty smell to it that didnt go away even with Febfeeze. The staff was super nice and courteous which kept it from 1 star. My biggest complaint was the television setup they are using. It is a streaming feed that has to buffer all the time. We literally couldnt watch TV. That was very disappointing after a long day at Disneyland.
Very convenient location to visit Disneyland. Free shuttle runs every half hours to and from Disneyland (Rush hour schedule cannot be relied on). Room is clean and quiet. Free continental breakfast but with limited choice (no scrambled eggs or bacon -:). The only complaint I have is that they dont allow you to park there after you check out unless it is the light season. Ramada Plaza Anaheim allows you to do that because they have plenty of parking. Garden Walk nearby offers 12 hours parking for $15.
A quaint spot in the heart of the bustling Disneyland district that has a simple version of everything you need. Standard continental breakfast, standard weight room, rooms were comfortable enough, and hottub/pool area was enough to attract for a break spot from a busy day around Disney. Only about a 7 minute walk from the park!
The incredibly helpful and friendly staff here made our trip. Everyone down to the grounds-keeper are extremely nice and went out of their way to help make things easier for our blind daughter. The shuttle was so convenient after walking all day, and the predictable schedule made it easy to plan around. Even when the laundry soap dispenser broke, the staff went immediately to work to rectify the problem. No excuses, they just got to work. Definitely our new every-time place. The only improvement I could think to make would be more cooked food options for breakfast like scrambled eggs or pancakes. The option to eat in the courtyard more than made up for this. Feeding the little birds each morning was great.
Quiet, little gem hidden in the busy Anaheim/Disneyland area. You wont find it with other rewards programs like the major chain hotels, but it quietly beats the competition in location (tucked within 10-minutes walking distance directly behind cars land), in-room amenities (comb, shower cap, mini fridge, and the usual hygiene items like soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion), table and sitting room chairs, flat screen television, and well-lit. The grounds are well kept with beautiful flowering plants, a pool, free parking, and free Disneyland shuttle. The staff is pleasant and rooms clean and spacious. They were accommodating in helping my friends with something their baby needed, and helpful to me when I needed to book to rooms near each other despite arrivals 12 hours apart from our other guests. I would absolutely stay here again despite no points/rewards to earn for future visits.
Coming from someone who has tried every hotel in a 5 mile radius of Disneyland, the Candy Cane Inn is now the place I make sure to stay in every time I go. Its beautifully decorated with shady trees and gorgeous flowers which goes wonderfully with the magical theme of Disney. I usually hate staying in hotels or motels because Im a huge germaphobe, but the Candy Cane Inn is one of the only places I can stand because of the obvious amount of effort they put into making sure the rooms are clean. They have a free shuttle going to and from Disneyland every half hour, which is so convenient, especially if you have small children. The staff are all very kind and helpful.
My family and I have come to the candy cane inn for a couple generations now. It started with my grandfather when they opened shortly after Disneyland opened back in 55.. then he took my parents, they took me and my brother, I took my wife and now today Im bringing my little son with me and my wife. Clearly they are doing something right with all the competition around to keep us coming back every time we come here. Sometimes the price is a little high but we try to always come anyway instead of going to other hotels. Ok so for new customers, this hotel is only a couple blocks from both parks, its one of the most beautiful walks covered in shade and littered with birds of paradise flowers. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly and the amenities are standard but they feel like they are on another level of quality compared to other hotels. Their breakfast in the morning, every morning ranges and sometimes it is better than other days. But I can guarantee that you will have a decent selection no matter what day, of multiple items..it just may not be a hot breakfast type of menu. We still thoroughly enjoy it with the breakfaat the way it is and with the comfortable beds and upgraded rooms...the rooms have been upgraded tremendously since our last trip to Disneyland and we love the changes. They feel refreshed and cleaner as well as more modern. I give this hotel a rating of 5 stars... Not because of luxury but more for convenience and price considering the convenient location being so close to Disneyland. We walk because its so close to the park but I should mention that they STILL have a shuttle going back and forth every 30 minutes even with their hotel being this close to the park... This tells you everything about how they feel about their guests right there... If they still pay to shuttle guests every 30 minutes all day every day an pay an employee for said services just to make guests happy... This hotel is amazing. Thats all I have to say about that.
My husband and I wont stay anywhere else when we come to Disneyland (which is often as we have Annual Passes). The staff is always friendly and go out of their way to accommodate us. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! Not to mention how close it is to our favorite place!
I love this place. I could live there. Its quiet, the rooms are clean, the free breakfast is great, the pool is well maintained and the flowers and plants that are everywhere are gorgeous. Its an oasis of wonderfulness in Anaheim. Why anyone would want to stay in a huge chain hotel tower instead of this beautiful, quaint, cozy, clean motel is beyond me.
Best Inn ever! Very friendly staffs and nice, clean rooms. Charming breakfast. Lovely location! You can even walk to Disneyland. (It takes only 5 mins.)+) After checking-out, my younger brother realized he left souvenirs from Disneyland in this Inn. We called Candy Cane Inn, just in case. All staffs I contacted tried to help us so hardly. They found those stuffs on the bench and send them for us. It was really impressive. We will never forget their kindness. Thank you again!! :D
The perfect spot for a Disney stay. Great location, beautiful (and fragrant) grounds. Good pool and spa area. Rooms are certainly not opulent, but for a family of four worn out from a day at the park, theyre just what you need. Wish the beds were a bit bigger (and a bit newer), but for the price, Im not complaining. The best thing for us, was the breakfast that was brought to our room. Its included in the cost of some rooms and it is highly worth it. Kinda like those fancy places where you order the night before, but minus the $50 or more.
Inexpensive, very close to Disney, friendly people and shuttle to Disney. Free breakfast and wifi also. Coin operated laundry facilities on site. Pool, hot tub and wading pool for young kiddos. The grounds are beautiful. I docked it a star because compared to most hotels I have been in, the room was a little small. Very motel 6 sized.
A cozy, comfortable, and clean place to stay with unbeatable proximity to Disneyland. I stay here every time I go to Disneyland when I dont stay in an official resort hotel. Book early on the site, as many in the know book this hotel on their trips. You can tell from all the annual passport bumper stickers!
So glad we found this gem! It is right next to Disneyland and yet it is peaceful and quiet. It is also close to shopping and many restaurants. Beautiful landscaping and great free continental breakfast. They accommodated our early arrival and late departure with no problems. Would recommend and will plan on staying there again!
Great place, well maintained and has great breakfast. It’s in close walking distance and they offer a shuttle service that is always on time and nice when you have kids. Staff is very friendly and I highly recommend this place, it’s also pretty quiet in this tucked in hotel.
We arrived for very late check-in, and our reservation was still in place, which was good. There was a single cockroach in the bathroom, front desk dispatched someone to kill it for us, but they didnt offer anything to make that up to us. Breakfast was good, shuttle to Disneyland is convenient. Room was a little small but with very nice interior finishes.
We always stay here during our visit to Disneyland. The main reason is because one of the top wings provides the opportunity to view the fireworks, so we request a room in that wing always. The prices are reasonable for the quality of service provided. A shuttle departs every half hour to Disneyland. Each room has an electronic safe. Pools are clean and the location provides free breakfast to get you going in the morning. Breakfast includes orange juice, coffee, different cereals, boiled eggs, yogurts, cheese cubes, muffins, bagels, cream cheese, toast with jam, honey or butter, fruits....yum yum. :) There is also a small shop to purchase a few snacks and souvenirs. Most importantly, you can purchase bottled water too and there is also cucumber flavored ice cold water in the lobby, along with coffee. Last but not the least, Candy Cane is a walking distance from other places to eat right across the street, and Anaheim Garden Walk is very close. I also saw Cheese Cake Factory and PF Changs just 5 minutes away by walk. In summary, a very convenient location and parking is free of charge for guests. Laundry is available too. Candy Cane is a very sweet place to stay and we look forward to visiting Candy Cane again.
Such a special place, so many great memories from stayong with family as a child. Recently stayed there for my birthday and they had a cute little cookie amenity in the room. The rates always seem to be reasonable and it is ON disney property. The shuttle drivers are always so polite and a pleasure to speak to.
A perfect hotel for a Disneyland vacation. The rooms are clean, staff is very friendly. It is very reasonably priced and is just a short walk to the parks (although they do have a shuttle for those tired little ones after a long day). Inlcudes a nice continental breakfast so you can get going quickly.
We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn for 5 nights and were extremely impressed with everything! From the awesome continental breakfast buffet to the super friendly and helpful staff everything was top notch! They set up my mother with a scooter which was more convenient and less expensive than renting one through Disneyland. I would LOVE to go back to Anaheim and will definitely book our stay at the Candy Cane Inn!
Everything was great. My boyfriend and I stayed just for a night but the staff was great and the room was also good. They have shuttle to amd from Disneyland but its also a 10-15 minute walk from disneyland so you can just walk if you dont want to wait the 15-30 minutes for the shuttle to show up.
The Candy Cane Inn is the only place we stay when visiting Disneyland. Im a bit leery of writing such a positive review, since I want to make sure that they have vacancies when we visit. Great value for the price and they have a great continental breakfast every morning. Add to this that it is a short walk to the Disney resort main gate, makes this a great spot. If you dont want to walk to the park, they have their own busses that run twice an hour.
We have annual passes to Disneyland and always stay at the Candy Cane Inn. Although it is an older property, it is nicely maintained. Free parking, free shuttle to the parks as well as free continental breakfast! There is also a pool and spa available. I recommend the rooms facing the street because they have central air conditioning. The other rooms typically have the wall mount AC which can be very noisy and not as efficient. I highly recommend the Candy Cane Inn!
Candy Cane is one of my favorite places to stay when visiting Disneyland. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are very nice and the location is great. Walking to Disneyland is very doable, the walk is easy and quite safe. But if you dont want to walk there is a free shuttle service that is great and always on time. Rooms are nice, clean and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are amazing. I sleep better here than I do at home. Shower water pressure is great. No microwave for the basic rooms, but there is a fridge. Wall plugs are a bit lacking and some can be loose from frequently use. WiFi is good, especially for hotel WiFi. Parking is free but spaces can be a bit tight. The free breakfast is good and the eating area is right by the pool which is nice. There is also a liquor store and a 7-11 in walking distance as well as a CVS and Walgreens across the street.
The Candy Cane Inn is a true find. The rooms are spotless, the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and they have a plentiful supply of fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, and protein items. A shuttle will carry you to the park and bring your tired feet home after a long day at Disneyland. Its your home away from home.
I have stayed there several times, last time Oct 2017 but wanted to write a review but forget to. Planning next stay Nov this year. Great location, Rooms clean, Higher quality than 2 stars. Breakfast very good, Ate there 2 of the 4 mornings other 2 in DL. Staff very friendly, each morning going to get coffee workmen on the grounds always said good morning. I remember this place being just the office and one side on the right facing it, OK just outed my age some. Anytime in DL I will stay here, but at WDW must stay at a WDW resort. Was there Oct 2019. HIGHLY HIGHLY reccommend. Steve
One of the few places in the area with free parking, free breakfast, free shuttle, and very close proximity to Disneyland. We keep thinking well find somewhere cheaper or better, but we just keep coming back (probably our 6th or 7th stay). Clean rooms and usually pretty competitive prices. Also have rollaways for an extra person although some of the rooms are pretty tight with this option. Weve never been disappointed.
We have stayed here twice and plan on staying more. Not alot to say that hasnt already been said. 3 great things about this place are: location, service, and the shuttle. I also enjoyed the breakfast, super simple but gets the job done. One thing to keep in mind when staying here is its motel style (meaning the room entrances are outside) and there is no elevator. Its only two levels, but if you have a wheelchair or stroller it can be a little challenging.
Okay, this review is long overdue.Came to Anaheim during Labor Day weekend with my relatives. We stayed here for the duration to be close to Disneyland. Only a 10-minute walk to the park entrance. Not to mention that they have a private bus that leaves every 30 minutes if you dont want to put in any extra legwork. As for the actual place, the rooms were great. Comfy beds, hardwood laminated floors, and shuttered windows. So pretty much NO real risks of bed bugs. Then theres the staff and their accomadations. My sister had a stroller on reserve for use during the duration of our visit. They were nice enough to let us leave it in front office when we didnt need it. The staff were VERY accomadating, especially in helping to get our flight itinerary printed for our flight home.Lest I forget, they serve a lovely, fully complementary, Continental Breakfast. No room service, but we werent really expecting any to begin with. Still, the breakfast was great. Sprawls of fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, bagels (and bagel oven), muffins, donuts, cheese cubes. Thats not even getting into the coffee and OJ machines they have. Or the cereal dispenser outside, with chilled milk in glass pitchers, served on ice.Bottom line, if you dont mind covering your own lunch and dinner, I cant recommend Candy Cane Inn highly enough. I promise, you wont be disappointed.
Pros:Newly remodeled. Room was nice.Grounds are well maintained.Swimming pool and hot tub available.Staff are accommodating.Decent continental breakfast included. CLOSE to Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. Shuttle avail every 30 mins.Location. Location. LocationDid I mention the staff was accommodating?Cons:No elevator, only stairs to 2nd floor.Ice and soda machines only downstairs. No microwave in the room, but one is available on the dining area.
Honestly we had passed up on this hotel for many years simply because it wasnt a large chain, boy was that a mistake. We decided to extend our trip an extra night and gave this place a shot. Not only were the staff extremely helpful but they were very courteous and it made the difference. Let me be clear, our room was a very standard no frills room as you would expect for the price but it was properly maintained and very very clean. Their breakfast was very good compared to others Ive seen. Free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes unlike some places that have a handful of drop offs and pickups or those that make you ride the ART. Free parking!!! I dont understand where hotels get off charging upwards of $20 for parking when youve dropped a few hundred bucks for a room there. The only negative I have to mention was the free WiFi internet, it took me an hour to get it to work and once I did I was greeted by some serious warnings indicating their security had been compromised or something. I simply didnt use it after that. Oh and unlike some of the other hotels across the street from Disneyland, it appears that these people care about building up repeat customers since they are happy to offer discounts on your next visit. I have been staying at Park Vue for years and theyve never offered me anything in the form of a discount or upgrade.
Room was nicely decorated, had small issue upon entering our bathroom, there was a roach on the bathroom floor. Called the front desk, they sent a maintenance person up to clean it up. Kind of disappointed they didnt offer to switch our rooms but they also looked very full based on how full the parking lot was. We stayed in the same room. The beds were very springy with lots of give, which left little support. Breakfast was decent, a lot of cold items. You can heat up a bagel or some toast, all the other items are standard cold breakfast items. Overall was a decent place to stay, very close to DL and a great shuttle service that ran every half hour.
The candy cane inn is a hidden treasure located right next door to Disneyland!!! The cost for a room is comprable to most other hotels in the vicinity and you can walk to the main gate in 10 min. The staff was friendly, you can get adjoined rooms if you have a big group, I highly recommend staying at the candy cane inn if you are looking for very reasonably priced logging in close proximity to disneyland!
We visited on a booked weekend, the room we paid for was unavailable and we were not compensated for that. The room itself is clean and does the job. The included breakfast is a nice way to start a day at Disney without spending an arm and a leg. Its also an easy walk to the park if you dont want to wait for the hotels shuttle.
We stayed in the Candy Cane for our recent trip for the Tinkerbell Half Marathon. Its always our go-to spot - its just so convenient being right down the street from the park entrance! This visit was especially nice because we decided to spring for the Premium rooms. Our room was stocked with treats like popcorn and cookies, and we had breakfast delivered to our door in a cute basket, all included! Were spoiled now, well be back for the Premium rooms next time!
Not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in but fat from the best too. To me it seems like they are in the process of slowly upgrading their rooms, so inside you find a mix of both new and somewhat outdated items. The pool and hot tub are both decent, although I thought they went a little bit heavy on the chlorine. My skin is sensitive to chlorine so I noticed it as soon as I jumped in.
The staff were very friendly. And the rooms were beautiful and always nice and clean. The pool and hot tub were awesome. Great stay at the Candy Cane! Thanks everyone for being so friendly. Oh and the breakfast had plenty of choices that everyone got something different and it all tasted great!
The location is right around the corner from the entrance of the parks, it is walking distance (about 15min brisk walk) The breakfast consists of bagels, croissant, choice of 3 cereals fruit & coffee. They also serve hard boiled eggs & cubed cheese. The staff is very helpful & polite. The property has a garden style deco. The rooms are not noise proof. You could hear the children upstairs. The hotel was recommended by AAA, but it was our 2nd choice because of distance (closer). The hotel offers a free shuttle, but Im not sure if that was part of our pkge. The rooms are smaller than we are used to at previous hotels. Our pkge also had free parking.
Service - excellent. Staff is very helpful.Breakfast - breakfast is regular for this kind of hotel. breakfast room is smallish for the number of breakfasters - so gets a bit crowdedDesign - landscaping and overall design is greatThey have laundry machines on site. For health freaks like myself :) there are power lines feeding both parks hanging fairly close to one side of the inn. So be sure to take a room on the other side of the inn
Came here for the same reason in 2012 for the same reason everyone does. Proximity to Disneyland. It does not get much closer, and the hotel provides a shuttle to the east entrance. Stayed 3 nights at this place. It is pricey considering the size of the rooms, but the rooms are clean and fairly nice. The hotel outside is gorgeous and the pool is great. Had a little trouble connecting to the wi-fi from the room on my tablet, but the room we were in as toward the back. I would walk up to the pool area and it would work fine. Breakfast there is mediocre but the hotel is next door to the 7-Eleven and reasonable walking distance to several restaurants. Service was great. If you are not on a total budget, Candy Cane is the place to go.
Reminds me of a hotel in the London area. Family owned, they have taken great care to make sure the property and rooms are clean and welcoming. Most areas in the US would just demolish places like this instead of maintaining the original integrity. We stayed 2 nights in a chain hotel and then 1 night here, because of availability. More value here, plus you are supporting local businesses. Employees were noticeably more pleasent and happy than the chain, could be the personal investment. The hotel is very close to Disney entrances but offers a clean shuttle back and forth. There is a Walgreens and CVS even closer which in convenient. Rooms are not my style with the pastel pallets and lower ceilings but they are clean. The air circulation in the room is not ideal, especially with my two teens in the room. Febreeze could have helped, keep that in mind if there are more than 2 of you in a room. This was our first visit to this hotel and I was very pleased. I will recommend it to friends and return if I have the opportunity.
Ive stayed at the Candy Cane Inn a few times over the years and the experience has always been enjoyable. The rooms are clean and the staff is courteous. The Inn is located ten minutes away from Disneyland Park by walking and has a shuttle that makes frequent trips to and from.
Best place to stay hands down anywhere. So wish there was a Candycane Inn everywhere I went. Clean comfy rooms and so many different plants all over there is a bird of paradise bloomed outside our room. Breakfast is awesome pool is beautiful beds are cozy staff is wonderful and shuttle is so convenient
A good place to stay when you are at Disney land and shuttle is nice and you can hear cars land from your room but the down side is you can not see the fire works. I would get first floor roomBecause their are lots of stairs. The breakfast is good😍. And you can also buy tickets from the lobby I
Has become our go to as long as the price remains stable. very quiet compared to most on the strip, beautiful grounds, plenty of free parking, one of the few places that has its own free shuttle, close enough to walk (12 minutes or so to the gate),coldish pool but hot tub is nice, one of the best free breakfasts on the strip, rooms are a little smaller than average but big enough for a family of four. lots of competition and many new places popping up may mean lower prices here so keep it on your radar.
Clean rooms, free continental breakfast, pool and spa and a free Disneyland shuttle that runs all day all at a decent price. Ive stayed here a few times. One thing I must say is I cant stand the flooring in the rooms, no carpet. Nothing fancy, but a solid 3 stars every time.
Ive stayed in hotels all across the country and honestly this was the least appealing. The staff was well enough but between a fairly uncomfortable bed, lackluster TV, small tub, bathroom door that *could not close properly because it wasnt installed correctly* and then a terrible free WiFi that couldnt connect on my laptop and dropped constantly on my phone? If I were to come back to Disney, it would not be to this hotel.
My husband and I stay here every time we go to Disneyland and we LOVE the Candy Cane Inn!I love the landscaping, plants and all the flowers and potted shrubs they have growing and maintain the upkeep on! That must be a lot of work! The atmosphere they create makes it so much more pleasant than the other hotels around. And the building is so charming with the ivy railings, it reminds me of New Orleans Square a bit. And the breakfast is Carb city with so much to choose from (which you want on vacation right?) and the pastries and breads are so fresh and tasty! The rooms are always clean, smells great, and sooo cozy. It’s hard for me to believe sometimes this place is only a 2 star hotel! If you want a place that has all the charm, atmosphere that you feel in the DL Park and quality service and treats returning guests with respect then come here! And you cannot beat the Candy Cane Inn price for the quality of stay you get! That’s the only way we can afford such a great place! Keep the customers happy with such a great price! Going for our 5th time next week to this hotel! Oh! And the location so close to the park is a 5-7 minute walk!
A little disappointed in the room. It was small, even the higher priced one. It would be fine for two, but we had 3 adults and it was cramped. Shower drain was super slow, standing in ankle deep water. It took awhile for water to get hot....Service at front desk was excellent. Free shuttle was great. Locaton very convenient.
I have only the best to say about this hotel! Highly recommended! So happy we chose the Candy Cane Inn for our trip to Disneyland. Every employee we came across was very friendly and willing to go out of their way to do whatever they could for us. Some highlights: The welcoming exterier of the rooms, beautiful vegatation and the scent of flowers everywhere, the most absolutly comfortable rooms (loved the beds!), the awesome free morning breakfast, with so many choices, and the free shuttle straight to Disneyland and back. No sitting through 8 different hotel stops before you get to your own!We will definitely return to the Candy Cane Inn on our nect trip to Anaheim!
I really wanted to like this place, but I came away disappointed. The room had pretty much all the amenities one would like, but it was small and cramped. It was also very dark--partly because of the overhang from the floor above, but also because our handicap room was sandwiched in behind the laundry room and there was absolutely no sunlight at all. The breakfast was average at bestAs for General handicap access, that also leaves much to be desired. There was only one curb cut on our side of the complex and it was quite a ways down from our room. There is also no way to access the main sidewalk in front without walking in the driveway. There are some strictly ornamental sidewalks with curb cuts that go nowhere. It seems like they did not really consider handicap and wheelchair access when they designed this place.
Ive been staying at the Candy Cane Inn for 25+ years and they NEVER let us down. The rooms are incredibly clean and believe me, I look in every corner. Beds are soooo cozy , no comforters and the double-sheet blanket is perfect. The AC isnt noisy and sleep is good here. :-)By the way, why wouldnt you pay $20-30 more for a Premium room? The room is larger, fridge, microwave, free DVD rentals, FREE BREAKFAST delivered to your room in the morning at a time you choose... a nice popcorn bucket full of goodies when you get there, and a 2pm checkout time? Its a no-brainer!!NO resort fee. FREE parking. FREE Shuttle. FREE WiFi . FREE Candy Canes... I mean this is THE resort to stay at!My tips: If your feet are tired, take the shuttle. Its every 30min, but note that between waiting for people to board, it driving slowly around the resort lot to pull out finally, then a u-turn to the resort... etc... within that 15min, youd already be at the gate of Disneyland. Its only a 5min walk.Dont hesitate. This place is beautifully maintained and a great place to stay. Keep in mind its a Motel. Doors face the outside and yes, because other humans stay there, youll hear a bit of noise here and there. For us, no biggie. Its perfect. :-)UPDATE: A note on the TV... its nice! But REALLY limited in its channels. No ESPN? and well, about 8 channels, like the old days!. No big deal for me, I bring my Roku stick with me and we connected it, connected to their free wifi, and I was good to go. Im not sure this is a deal-breaker, but may be for some.
Nice rooms, great continental breakfast, very close to Disneyland- a ten minute walk maybe. They even have a free shuttle if you dont want to walk, but it takes ABT the same time to do that as it does to walk. There is a Walgreens and cvs right across the street as well as a subway and some other fast food places for quick cheap eating at the end of the day. Other fancy restaurants are nearby too if you want a sit down place. Great location! Very helpful employees as well-known helped us book a shuttle to the airport no problem.
Absolutely great place. Nothing fancy, but perfect for our family. Rooms are clean. Beds are fine. Everything worked great. Staff is friendly. Pool is small but perfect. Best part is that it is a relatively affordable option crazy close to Dland. About a 7 minute walk to the main gate. Will definitely stay here again.
We and one of our friend drove from Calgary & Stayed for few nights in this hotel (room no 228) - great staff (thanks Bryan , Erika & all staff ) or helping us with planning our tours and other help we needed at diff times.) .Hotel has great breakfast, clean. eating places , ABC stores, 7-11 and other stores and just right across .from this hotel. you can also see firework from this hotel...Worth your money. Definitely recommend this hotel :) .. Happy that we chose this place for our stay.
The good far outweighed the bad. You will always find a negative if your trying. The aspect ratio on the tv was off and the option to adjust is locked out to guests. But who needs tv when youve got Disney land right next door! The smell of the flowers right outside your door is so beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it...and many high protein options
Have stayed here multiple times in the past with my family and in laws while visiting disneyland and had great experiences then. Recently it has been seeming to go down hill. My most recent room was above the laundry room. Arriving and trying to get an early nights sleep for disneyland the next day can be difficult if laundry is running as the whole room shakes, window rattles. Makes is very hard to get the kids to bed. After talking to the front desk they advised me it is usually done by 8:30, it being 7:00 now. He said they would stop it after the current load until tomorrow. In addition that, when I decided to get into bed myself once the kids were finally asleep, I discovered it was very wet on the bottom sheet. After speaking with the front desk, they sent up housekeeping to check for a leak and to change the sheets. Once they were removed them, it smelled heavily of piss. Housekeepings response to this was well what do you want me to do about it? Housekeeping tells me there are no spare mattresses or rooms available and lays a blanket down under the new sheets assuring me it wont soak through. Well after I shower and get in bed, it does. Another trip to the front desk, they insinuate it wasnt their fault and house keeping checks for that when they reset the room. I am again told there are no other mattresses. They suggest I can stay in another room for one night but I have to move back since the room is booked the next day, that way it can dry... I refuse as its now an hour past when I wanted to be in bed and my kids are asleep. I then asked if they could switch mattresses with that room and they did over the next 20 minutes. I guess whomever has the room the next night is out of luck... Shower again and have a hard time getting to sleep that night which made the next day rough. Talked to the manager the next day and he gave me $70 off for my troubles of laying in piss twice and missing out on 2 plus hours of sleep. He was not apologetic and simply said he would talk to his staff. Between all my interactions with the staff, it was the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a hotel. It will likely be the last time me or any of my extended family stay there while visiting Disneyland.
Extremely nice motel, right next to Disneyland. However when we were leaving, we stopped off for breakfast, at Dennys.Right across the street from disneyland, the road where the buses turn onto, the entrance. Motel was $40.00 bucks cheaper, and a lot nicer. Thats where Im renting when I go back
Everything was fine until I was lied to about leaving my valuables behind. Two people admitted to having found my belongings. The second stating last night that the housekeeper ended up keeping my jewelry. Now I get a return call stating a bag of cruise ship purchases where left behind not actually what I had described. Id walk a little further and stay away from thieves such as these. Such a shame that a place rated so highly and my family and I had looked forward to returning to, turned out to be employed by shady crooks. Stay safe and book elsewhere people. I never write a bad review, I always find the positive.. but this was way too much to not have to warn others about. Ill be opening further investigations.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and good-size rooms, two blocks from Disneyland Resort on the same side of the street, free shuttle to the parks, swimming pool with hot tubs, free wifi, plenty of free parking, premium room gives you turn-down service, movies and popcorn, continental breakfast delivered to your room, snack basket, and 2pm checkout. Negatives include lots of smokers, lots of locals, herd of elephants upstairs, and no candy cane theming at all. Enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended to Disney parks visitors. #DoinDisneyRight #CandyCaneInnRocks
Love the hotel. It is extremely cute and has wonderful charm. The staff that serves your breakfast is extremely friendly and will greet u with a smile. The management is useless and if u need help dont expect them to help u out whatsoever. 5 stars bc of the atmosphere and the working staff. The Management I give a FAIL.
A great value on a sure to be expensive vacation. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely accommodating and even allowed us to park there the morning before and evening after checkout. That with their close proximity to the park, free shuttle and free breakfast really seal the deal on an excellent experience.
We had positive experiences in the past, but that changed dramatically in 2015, coinciding with new management. They botched our most recent stay in nearly every way possible.1) Bed bugs! We photographed them, showed them to the front desk, and two staff members accompanied my family and I to the room, verified they were there and only offered to allow us to change rooms (at a downgrade without any refund). Along with two young kids, we hauled all our unpacked things to the other side of the hotel without assistance.2) No accommodating. We specifically called twice in advance of our stay to ensure we had a bottom floor room for an ADA accommodation since there are no elevators. Both times we were assured it was noted and wed be taken care of. When we arrived, sure enough theyd booked a top floor room. It took the front desk manager nearly 40 minutes to find an alternative room (at which point the drama referenced above with bed bugs ensued and we had to change rooms yet again).3) Careless hotel management. I tried reporting this to hotel management. It was delegated lower in every instance. I was encouraged at first by a voice message from a manager, but he said hed follow up immediately. I called back a day later, he said he didnt have time to get to it and hung up. A week and a half went by, I followed up again. The manager falsely claimed he had called twice. He reported that hed done some training and that they never found bugs. Thats not what his staff said in a panic when they were rolling up the sheets and moving us, and thats not what my photos say.I just wish theyd take action for the good of their customers. There are plenty of other choices just as close, and even closer, to Disneyland. Id never return and wouldnt be shocked if it gets shuttered so health authorities can compel the insect issue to get taken care of.

2022-06-15This was our first trip to Disneyland in California and this is the hotel we stayed at. Going only by reviews we took our chance and booked this hotel and we were not disappointed at all. Its within walking distance to the amusement park. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning before heading out to Disneyland. Hotel accommodations were always on point. We figured we just needed a place to sleep and this was more than what we expected. I recommended this to a relative and they loved it also.

2022-01-24My family loves this hotel!!! It is nice, clean, the staff is super friendly, there is a shuttle every half hour to Disneyland for free! There is one shuttle driver that recognizes us every time we get there! Also there is a wonderful complementary breakfast in the morning, the glazed donuts are the best!!! I would highly recommend this hotel, not one bad thing to say about it!!!

2021-07-16This is a good place to stay and close to the park. Really need to make reservations well in advance. Nice variety of rooms and decent parking. This place is not going to break the bank so you’ll have more money to spend on other things. We have stayed at many different places around here and this is pretty much on the top of our favorite list - especially when you don’t have unlimited funds or just not needing major resort amenities. Enjoy.

2021-06-01The Candy Cane Inn is mine and my entire family’s favorite hotel to stay at when we go to Disneyland. We have stayed at this hotel several times and it never disappoints. They provide a military discount, and are so accommodating. You can’t beat the price and all the amenities as well as the location because it’s next door neighbors with the Disney parks. We cannot wait to go back and continue making memories!

2020-02-08Great location, very clean and well maintained. I was surprised at how nice this hotel was. The lay out was fantastic with a very nice pool in the middle. The breakfasts were great with a decent amount of variety. A short walk to Disneyland and they have a shuttle if you dont want to walk. The rooms were very clean and the staff was always around working hard. The staff was also very help and pleasant. Overall fGreat experience.

2019-11-13Really enjoyed my stay here, the location is great and quiet being tucked into that area. The breakfast is what’s the best it’s a good variety and tons of it, highly recommend. The location is good and walking distance to Disneyland and they even have a shuttle service to take you back and forth to Disneyland, staff is great. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed at and it’s very well maintained. I plan to stay here more often it was so far my favorite hotel near Disneyland. Everyone we met said the same thing and they have been coming to the candy cane in there whole life.

2019-08-02Great hotel, in every way! Staff was super friendly and provided excellent service. Room was clean and very comfortable. Easy walk to the parks, but they offer a shuttle if you dont want to walk. The drivers were so friendly and accommodating! Weve always stayed on property when visiting Disney, but we now have a new favorite!

2020-01-21This is a great hotel to stay in if youre going to Disneyland. They offer a shuttle service to the park or you can take a quick 6 minute walk if you dont feel like waiting. Breakfast is great, they have toast, muffins, donuts, boiled eggs, etc. The only downfall is that since all the rooms have a for to the outside (motel style) you can hear people outside when they come in late or pack up and leave. I love this place and will definitely stay here again!

2020-01-08LOVED THIS PLACE! We travel a lot and are not too fond of hotels, but this is the exception! The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and a welcome basket was such a thoughtful touch. The kids loved the popcorn and movies. I loved the truffles. The service from everyone, front desk to cleaning and everyone else was beyond nice. They really went the extra mile with a smile! Turn down service with chocolates. Robes in the rooms. Breakfast delivered in a basket daily or you can hit the continental breakfast. Free parking. 5 minute walk to Disneyland and DCA. However, they do provide a shuttle if your prefer. We used it once when it was raining. Whenever we return to this area, this is where we will stay. No doubt about it. Thank you again for making this a magical trip.
