Cars come with bad tyre pressures and one is made to go check for it outside. Secondly, the car I got has a bad wheel alignment which is forcing me to hold on to the steering wheel tightly so that it doesnt veer off sideways. As a result, my left shoulder is hurting me.
I place my order online and head to the front desk everyone has been so nice. When the line gets long ppl lets remember to be nice to the staff their is usually only 2 ppl working or 1 and they take care of avis too. Also careful if u check in before they close.. i have seen them run out of cars. Fyi
I didnt realize it until a day later when I looked at the receipt that the attendant gave me when I returned the car but I was charged for 1.5 gallons of gas. I filled the car less than 3 miles from the airport. I filled the car until the pump shut off, I then added more gas until the pump stopped a second time to ensure the tank was completely filled. This practice of padding the bill is completely dishonest. In the future I will rent from a company that does not intentionally cheat their customers.
I rented a SUV for 4 days. I was given a jeep thats smaller than a full size vehicle. Then the full price of the rental PLUS THE $250 HOLD WAS 0LACED ON MY CARD! $800 DOLLARS in total until I returned the vehicle. Non of this information was disclosed at the COUNTER! You have really gone in reverse as far as everything. Budget is the only rental agency I like to use. But after this horrible experience things will change.
This vehicle’s gas tank was NOT full. I had the parking lot attendant make a note on my contract. When I returned the car with a “full” tank the office was closed.I called Budget and talked to Hussein on 2/28/2018 and he assured me they would credit my card for the lost fuel.They did not redeem the inconvenience and I ended up paying out of my own pocket!Bad car and customer services.I posted a photo of the notation on my contract.No problems with the other car rental services located at this airport.I advise using another company.
Wow. Where do I start?Khaleb is terrible and should not be a manager.They gave us a car with a broken alternator. So whenever we turned the car off we needed to have it jumped. This took so much time out of our trip.He said, Well, we didnt do it on purpose. As if that somehow made our experience and expectations of getting a working vehicle any different.He charged the card 4 times over what he should have aside from all of that. He refused to reduce the payment because, You were supposed to call roadside assistance. We did. Multiple times being that the alternator was busted in the car they gave us and we needed multiple jumps.We wound up using Uber during our trip because otherwise wed totally miss out on our trip and get stranded somewhere.He claimed that he could not refund anything. He was very flippant about it and, as someone who has worked management, I wasnt impressed. The customer service and service itself left much to be desired.We contacted above him and got a refund plus some free rentals. They said hell be retrained, but honestly I wouldnt expect much from this place again. Thats the kind of individual they hired and somehow promoted as a manager.
I will never give Budget car rental another try and I will advise everyone against it. It was the most awful experience I have ever had with any car rental company. We stood in line for an hour and a half to be told that they needed to find an adequate car to rent out to me. I had actually PREPAID for this car and reserved it back in June. They gave me a huge oversized car, not the mini SUV or similar that I had rented. I got a full size SUV/TAHOE. We went up to pick up the car and the attendant was actually running around all over the place find a car, going through the car wash AND bringing the car towards those of us waiting to rent, hopping OUT of the car WITHOUT EVEN SAYING ANYTHING TOWARDS THE CROWD OF PEOPLE WAITING...it was the most inefficient event I had ever witnessed. Took an additional hour to get the car. To top it ALL OFF, when we got the car we immediately noticed that it was 3/4 of a tank and the paper work said FULL TANK. I tried calling the reservation number on the phone to be told that I needed to call customer service but they where already closed so I had to call the following day during my VACATION.... They wanted to charge me $160 at check in for THEIR mistake on the gas but I had taken pictures of the gage and mileage and everything so they where able to reverser this charge. Very inefficient, very poor service on every point of this car rental experience
We got to the rental place and there was nobody there. There were lines for each company but it seems like anyone could help. So, it didnt make sense to me to ask people to wait in a specific line. Eventually, we were helped by a very nice person. I wish I wouldve wrote her name down. She gave us some fun tips to try during our stay. She did upscale me the prepay for fuel and I was told that I would be reimbursed for bringing the vehicle back full but I wasnt. It was almost $80 worth of fuel I paid for. I tried to call management but I was on hold for over an hour and I finally gave up.
Usually I am very satisfied and give you a high rating. This time, however, it was clear the car wasnt cleaned and smelled of smoke. I was in a hurry to leave the airport so decided not to change vehicles...big mistake. My sense of smell isnt so acute but my daughter (who I picked up a couple of days later couldnt stand it. I finally turned in the car early and we Ubered for a couple of days. I hope I can count on you in the future...
The service members I interacted with at Budget were friendly, helpful and made me feel at ease during what can be a stressful experience. I got upgraded to a hybrid car that had a low mpg which helped me save money. I returned the car about 30 minutes late and was worried I would be penalized or that the person checking me in might make a comment about it, but they neither penalized me or made me feel guilty. I rented from Burbank and LAX airports.
How could you have only 2 agents working at Avis/Budget counter at Burbank Airport on a Labor day weekend??? There were more than 50 people standing on the line and I had to wait for more than an hour to get my car. Do we not have anything better to do with our time? I will prefer Alamo or Fox over you next time.
I have rented from Budget for years. Pickup is always hit and miss relative to how fast i can get the car and escape the airport. sometimes the rapid pickup board is posted and i get out without talking to anyone. This time the board we not set up and i had to wait for quite some time at the counter until some guy on break came to the counter to help me. He was moderately fast, but seeing him in the back room eating some food and waiting for him to finish was frustrating. Then the car we got smelled like smoke and was definitely well used, but the last thing i was going to do was go back to Mr sandwich guy to ask for another. Drop off was fast as usual, at least this went well. Overall, i think i will switch to Enterprise. i have never had and issue like this with them.
Mr. Ray Grijalva was wonderful. I was afraid I would not have rental due to several delays. He called me and helped me with the paperwork for after hours pick up. He made sure I had a picture of the car and where to pick it . Great customer service is a rare commodity. Mr. Grijalva needs to be manager of the year.
I rent from Budget at the Burbank airport often. There is a customer rep there by the name of Ron. He helps with both budget and Avis. He is by far the most helpful respectful agents I have ever dealt with. He is usually there everytime I go and has us in and out of there in no time and always makes us feel welcomed and we are always satisfied with services.
Our complaint was with the smell of the car. It had a very strong odor which actually smelled like weed. Not sure if thats what it was or if it was some sort of cleaner or air freshener. But whatever it was it was not pleasant. The weather was pretty hot and when the car got hot after being parked in the sun the smell was even stronger. Other than that we were satisified, but it will make me think twice before renting from Budget again.
When checking out the car i was quoted 1,500 as my total after I checked out I was charged over 2,000 total in fees that were not disclosed until after purchase. And when I arrived at the pick up they did not have the car I rented available and gave me a much larger vehicle with worse gas mileage and it was very inconvenient to drive given the locations I was commuting to
Comfortable check in! Greeted with a smile. My rental history was on file, so no needless bantering about extras was experienced. I appreciate that! Direction to car location was easy to follow. Car was nice, and when I needed instruction on how to start it (key less ignition), it was given courteously. Upon return to airport, check in was fast and easy. Baggage was unloaded from trunk, and direction to terminal clearly given. Thanks for a great experience!
The absolute worst experience I have ever had. The guys were laughing at me behind the counter and made me feel so uncomfortable and wouldnt process my reservation. Its one thing to not be able to submit a refund to me for up to 3-10 days which is already ridiculous but on top of that to belittle me, not apologize or offer any further help. Beyond poor, they dont know the definition of customer service. I wouldnt suggest this Budget location to anyone.
After what seemed like a very long walk to the rental car facility, the rental counter was no wait and rental agent was very friendly and professional. Maybe letting renters know ahead of time that there is a bit of a distance from terminal to the rental car area would be helpful. Disabled persons or elderly would have trouble with the walk. In any event, the Toyota Camry was clean and suited our needs well. We appreciated the help of telephone agent when we called to extend our return time. It was somewhat confusing finding the rental car return. Lastly, the return agent was unsmiling and unwelcoming. But we were overall satisfied with this rental.
Great experience picking up the car, as well as dropping it off a couple of days later for my weekend trip from Los Angeles to Yuma, AZ. I just didnt want to put the wear and tear on my car or worry about driving through the desert, just in case!! Everything went great with the car! I was also very grateful that the facility was open during the hours that I needed to pick-up and drop-off the car. I got a great deal and am very happy that I joined the Budget Rental Car Family and now have my FastBreak #! I will be renting again in May and am looking forward to the experience!
Just rented a car from here and it was not properly cleaned. There were used water bottles in the back seat, food crumbs in the console and the seats were not well vacuumed. When I told the representative who checked the car he just apologized that the car was dirty and just looked at me. They were low on intermediate cars so we just stuck with the one they gave us and ended up throwing out the trash. I told them I would make a formal complaint online because no one seemed to care. I have always rented from Budget and have always had a great experience, but this experience was abysmal and totally negative. Renting from Budget is definitely not an option anymore...if you rent a car, the least you can expect is a clean car.
Good price, decent cars. Location of the rental (all rentals, in fact) is atrocious. Endless walk through the bridges and multiple elevators. Not something you appreciate with luggage and a toddler in tow.Also, the car I got was clean and everything, but it had busted windshield seal. Nothing like driving on the highway and realizing that the rubber seal is flapping, slapping in the side window.
Burbank - return was seamless. took 2 mins, Elaine was the supv, very friendly and helped me out with transportation to my air terminal. 5 stars.LAX - this was the best car rental Ive ever had, 6pm on Friday, there were 6 people working the counter, I was checked out in 3 mins. They offered me a Corvette at half price, $150, Ill be back for a 2020 Vette in the summer. The rates were 50% to 25% of the other companies. there was no charge to drop off at Burbank. Int. SUV was nice and roomy Nissan Rogue. easy to drive and spotless clean.
I arrived at the Budget counter and was taken care of in a matter of minutes. I had no issues, the car was clean and gased up, ready to go. The agent was friendly and worked fast to get me out the door to my rental. Upon my return, again, I had no issues, it was cold outside I had to wait for my daughter to arrive so the gentleman let me wait in the car after checking me in to stay warm. Great Service, Fast, Friendly and EZ. Thanks!
The young lady whom helped me was very professional and kind. She knew her job, there were no pressure sales on any of the extras. She was a 10 plus, the last renal company I dealt with was a 90 minute stop. If she took 20 minutes Im surprised. The return of the car was met with the same kindness..thank you
The rental car location at Bob Hope Airport was convenient and the staff very helpful and friendly. I received a free upgrade when my compact was unavailable and helpful advice for my decision on the gas options. I was offered additional insurance options, citing the advantages but the sales agent was not pushy about it when I declined. Returning my car was a breeze. I would use Budget at Bob Hope Airport again.
These guys are great! Ive rented twice this week from this location. The first rental they gave me a great upgrade deal to a BMW. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cars are clean, low mileage, new model cars. The rental counter is a bit of a walk from the street or terminals but so are all the others lol. I will continue to rent from this location in the future even though there are several other car rentals, including Budget that are closer to my home. Keep up the great service. =)
Have used Budget location several times in the past and have yet to have any problems with the pick up or drop off procedure. Every employee is helpful and professional and the vehicles already set to go. Giving 4 stars and not 5 because my last rental was the the biggest single expenditure my last trip (which I assume some guilt and downgraded my selection) but mainly because I have yet to receive the automobile I chose on line...I always get the or similar vehicle. But have recommended this location several times already to friends.
Arrived on a Tuesday morning at 9:00 and there was no one in line! Asked if I could upgrade to something sportier from my full size reservation and paid a very nominal fee for a brand new convertible mustang. I typically rent from National and Enterprise, but would not hesitate to rent from this Budget location. Everyone was helpful and top notch. Highly recommend!
I booked my rental online thru their website & prepaid in full, about 3 or 4 weeks prior to the date I would pick it up. I had reserved a convertible car, and upon arrival to Budget at the airport, they told me that they did not have any convertibles at the time. He said that they have two at the moment, but one did not have a key to it. The other one had two flat tires. Again, I had reserved the car about 3 or 4 weeks prior, and you didnt think to atleast get the tires fixed or get a key made?! Its common sense, let alone for customer service. I understand getting car keys made can be expensive. But, youre running a business, and I had reserved the car weeks prior to the pickup date and had prepaid in full. The least I would have imagined would have been to get the car fixed or offer to bring in a convertible from another Budget location. If not atleast try and replace the convertible or fix them, I would have much appreciated a notification of no availability prior to arriving for my vacation, instead of having the first thing on my vacation be told that the car I had previously reserved and paid for was not even there... On top of that, then you try and replace it with a luxury car, instead of one that has the same value as the one I had prepaid for. No, sir, I will not be sold into getting a luxury car. I refuse to give you any more money than I already had. And I would not want a car of lower value without a refund. Finally, after maintaining my composure the entire conversation with him, he offers me a standard sporty car of equal value, but the color is awful... Its a bright yellow, and it looks a bumblebee. Theres a reason why its at a rental, because no one wants to purchase a car of terrible appearance and color... With all that aside, I myself work in a customer service setting & have plenty of experience. I know things go wrong. Budget, as a business and for giving customer service to people, I would hope for much better results. Terrible customer service (not necessarily the guys fault, himself), for no replacement or effort in fixing the cars, and for not communicating with the customers of no availability... Ratings given: 1 star. Sorry.
My flight was to get in at 10pm on Sunday, January 5th. The flight was delayed. I called the rental office to inform them of this and they told me the office would be closed and I would have to return at 530am the next day to pick up the car. Also, when she also told me it would now be more expensive. In RI pvd airport when a flight is delayed someone stays at the rental counter. This inconvenience was costly.
@Budget I needed to see if I could switch airports for our departing flight. I called budget to see the cost of returning my car to long Beach when we picked it up in Burbank. Their agent told me it would be no fee. I then went and switched the flight, then called back to verify and again was told again no fee. When I picked up the car there was no change noted and I was told that it would be a $75 fee. When I asked to speak to the manager James I was told there was nothing I could do. I called customer service and was told they could split the fee after being directed to 4 different employees. Extremely disappointed that what I was told was but honored and in the service of telling a customer they couldnt do anything.
I always enjoy the Burbank rental car facility since it was consolidated a couple of years ago. It makes travel to L.A. much easier. The Budget staff are always helpful and professional. I was able to rent a Mustang recently for the price of a compact, since they were out of that category when I arrived. I appreciated the consideration.
Really great experience, and easy to pick up and drop off. The staff was extremely helpful, and when I had a concern about my rental, they remedied it immediately. Very ease to come and go from via Uber or train. Can say enough about how courteous and friendly the staff was. Ill definitely rent from here again.
WARNING!!! Watch out for Budget Car employee name ROD at Burbank Airport!!! He is a liar, manipulative, and a scammer trying to get money off you!!He is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!I have never been so disappointed in such service before through this company! He said it will only cost about $80 or more but when he gave me the summary, it was over $190+ -- When I said I am no longer interested as it was too overpriced for me , he moved on to the next person without letting me know and ignored me for the entire 30 MINUTES!!I patiently waited and as soon as he got back to me...there was no information or whatsoever on where to get the car even though I asked where it was and his response was go figured and when I asked what he meant, his response was wherever you see all the cars ! I asked for the copy of my paperworks as he forgot to hand it in to me because he was so busy with the person next to me who looked more sophisticated (businessman) than I did at that time ...he just basically threw my rental documents at me and just said here and walked away..!!!!! Who hired this guy?!!
The customer service is horrible. I was charged more for prepaying then the total rental cost. When I asked for a refund I was given the runaround and told that I agreed to it in the fine print. The process for getting a refund is so infuriating, that I have given up. I even had the supervisor named Donald hang up on me.
VERY FRUSTRATED. Last time trying Budget, for life. They denied me a pre-paid car rental for no good reason. Their two competitors had no issues with me, and I have no driving record or tickets to justify the denial. Alamo saved the day with just a few minutes to spare. All the car rentals at the Burbank Airport close at 11pm and thank God I had 4 minutes left after dealing with a non-responsive Budget Rent A Car.had this cost me my sales presentation tomorrow, Id have lost thousands.
Limited vehicle selection (either a pick-up truck or minivan), long lines (took longer than 30 min to pick up vehicle) and absurdly long drop off period where i was mistakenly charged for gas and forced to track down someone to refund it, almost causing me to miss my flight. Will use Turo next time. So should you.
Check the cleanliness of the vehicle before leaving the garage, turn on all the lights inside and exchange the car before leaving if you are not satisfied.I learned the hard way the next morning when I was able to see how filthy the inside of the the car was. Crumbs all over the seats and interior. Nothing thats would inspire a sense that the cat had been thoroughly cleaned and let alone vacuumed.I will also note that the level of customer service at the rental counter was non existent. Seemed like the employee was split between two agencies there doing double duty but not fully understanding where to get info on the Budget system.
This place is the best - I went there yesterday and the person at the counter was very professional and made the experience very pleasant. She jogged through the parking lot to make sure that my car was all sorted and ensured that I got my car quickly. Thats great customer service!
I flew into Burbank airport and needed to rent a car I didnt make a reservation beforehand so I went on to my smartphone and checked out prices and availability between all the major rental car services and I found that budget rental had the best prices and a wide selection of different cars and I decided to go with them I was pleasantly surprised with the Nissan car I received it felt and drove like a dream and the customer service was great I recommend checking them out and I will definitely rent with budget in the future keep up the good work
Conflicting information between counter staff and garage staff lead to additional costs. Turns out, garage folk had gained us more accurate information. Everyone was friendly, tried to be helpful, but lack of consistent information led to additional costs I did not need to incurr
THE FIRST CAR WE GOT THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. WE GOT ANOTHER CAR THAT WAS DIRTY NOT COVID CLEANED, ALL DENTED UP. THE PROCESS TOOK OVER AN HOUR AND THEY STARTED THE RENTAL TIME WHEN WE GOT THERE I THINK THATS IS REDICULOUS. AND THE DESK MAN WAS NOT TO HELPFUL WHEN WE COMPLAINED
I want to warn people how the budget car rental office , screwed me for 22.00 a day rental car for 3 days cost me close to 300.00The agent on top of the taxes & fees charge me with optional fees which spouse to be one time fee , instead 3 times 11.00 3times 9.99 & 3 times another 8.00 & to not see that he initials the contract which I spouse to do thatAfter I find out about those fee I went there & I protest but no body listen & pay attentionFor second time I go there & same agent as soon as see me took a break & disrepairTo budget management THIS IS NOT THE WAY TREAT COSTUMERS SHAME ON YOU HOW U MAKE MONEY

2022-05-14It is nice that the rental agency is close to airport. However, on a Saturday, there was no choice except a 10min walk from baggage to the rental counter. Burbank manages this by having you cross the street and having you take an escalator/elevator and walk on an elevated walkway that has a good portion of it shortened by a series of 3 moving walkways.On my way back to the airport, I found the signs for budget return non-existent and had to backtrack. Ultimately, I went down the Avis return line. The agent admitted that signage is poor and management has not done anything about it. One of the moving walkways was not moving and although it is a nice shaded walk, carrying a lot of luggage for a 10min walk was cumbersome.

2022-01-04Good service and good car, but the windshield wipers needed to be changed a LONG time ago and it was incredibly dangerous and scary to drive (of course I happened to rent during Californias first major storm in years, which additionally lasted the duration of my booking). In addition to the car I rented needing new wipers, I recommend these things be checked before renting to clients. Other than that I was happy with how simple it was to change my reservation which I did multiple times and all employees were kind and professional. Thanks!

2022-06-24Dont rent from Budget. They are poorly understaffed and we had to wait in line for 1hr 45 minutes to be helped at the counter just to pick up our car. The check-in lady was not friendly not apologetic for the super long wait in a hot waiting room. There was only one person for all the customers checking in for both Avis and Budget, terrible management. Also, the cars gas tank was not full when we were given the car, it was only 3/4 full. On a car with a 16 gallon tank this is 4 gallons and in CA at $7+/gallon they should have refunded me ~$30 but they refunded me $12 instead after verbally saying they would refund appropriately.

2022-03-29My husband and I were returning our rental car to Fox, and they had no shuttle service to catch our flight back home. We are elderly, and the walk from the airport to the car rental had about done us in when we arrived a week ago. As we trudged to the elevators a smiling middle aged man in a Budget Uniform asked if he could help us. We asked if they had a shuttle , and he offered to take us. He would not take a tip, he just helped us and was so gracious. His name was Brian, (middle aged Asian man, sorry did not ask for a last name). Budget has customers for life due to this kind mans actions. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

2022-06-06Burbank Airport 010622Outstanding service and friendly knowledgeable staff. Our vehicle had 1% oil left b4 next oil change. Budget staff Oscar and team quickly went into action and got us a quality and serviceable vehicle 👌 👏. Ive used Budget on other occasions and they are always ready and willing to serve. There is a long walk to the rental vehicle Area however the 6 min walk is good exercise. (Burbank airport) I rented online fast and easy utilized Fast track at desk pick up, it was faster than standing in line. Walked up picked up keys and contract and was out da door within 2 minutes, until 1% oil car. However that was quickly resolved. Vehicle #2 was clean and in serviceable condition. I always do my own walk-around inspections and always take pictures of defects and note them on the contract!!!Will continue to utilize Budget!!!W2kbob.

2022-06-18I turned to BUDGET rental after a car accident recently-they had been my go to agency for years. I was in need of a economy rental to last until major repairs could be done. When I reserved the rental online I prepaid for a few days (inc fees) and was explained the per day rate if I needed to extend. With rental rates currently, I was very conscious of the fact that it was a hefty daily rate. When extending my rental using the automated phone system it had charged me a full extra day rental that I did not notice until the next day. (even though my return date was recorded as only 1 extra day). When I spoke to a person via the automated directory the following morning they stated they saw the additional charge but there was nothing they could do, they suggested I speak to customer service at the counter upon check in unless I wanted to extend my rental the extra day since I had already been charged, so I had them extend the return date 1 more day understanding there was a $10 fee. The extension was confirmed, then I received an alert another charge had come through. At this time I had now been pre-charged again for an extra day. I called back and spoke to several different online service reps who all told me that I couldnt do anything until I returned the vehicle and then it was a maybe that I might receive a credit. I had been pre-charged the amount as well, so upon returning the vehicle, the clerk who checked me in said the best they might be able to do is a $25 credit towards a future rental but that they could not authorize that -I had to speak to someone from customer service. So here I am in the red a full days rental penalized to me due to an error in their automated system and with 0 help from any person I spoke with. It seems BUDGET, once they had my money, did not care to actually recognize the person behind the rental. It is saddening that you were my default rental company for all my travel previously and the complete lack of service in this rental experience is just been too much.

2022-01-12I reserved a car offered at the website, which when I arrived to the airport they didnt have it. The attendant give me whatever he want it to and he was very unhelpful. The car I used the AC didnt cool down which make it very uncomfortable. The receipt they send over the email couldnt be seen or read because it came out in blank and I request another one which i come out the same. In addition I left my sunglasses in the rental and Ive been trying to reach out via phone to the office where I rent the car unsuccessfully and I open I lost and found case where until now I havent received an answer or reply since two days ago! Horrible experience.

2022-03-02Ok, if I were rating the staff, I would give them five stars. The agent at the desk was polite and meant well. And the staff member when I returned the car was both friendly and helpful. However, I was here to rent a car ...and in regards to their cars...well I wont use Budget again.Like other agencies, Budgets cars are handed over to the customer dirty. Extra filthy, truthfully. There is no pretense of cleanliness, no wipes for the customer...nothing. Additionally, it dawned on me as I was first driving off with the car, that there was no walk around by an agent before handing me the keys. So, I feel real lucky that the two dings I later noticed near the roof line were already showing rust which would clear me from any suspicion upon returning the vehicle. The vehicle itself sounded in need of TLC; a loud and persistent howling noise came from the rear while driving on the freeway. I couldnt see anything obvious when I inspected the car, but the sound was not normal. And there was a funky odor inside.When I returned the vehicle, the staff member handling the check-in informed me they stopped walk around inspections five years ago. Ok, but someone should make it clear to customers that they are responsible for their own inspections. Anyway, while the rental handled my commute for the couple days, I will not rent through Budget again.

2022-06-10The pop-up ad on the Budget website says that as a new customer, I should receive 30% off as a new customer to gives an email address. I did not get 30% off. False advertising.The agent did not ask me about coverage, and told me that I should read the information for myself. I think that it is against the law for a rental company not to verbally explain coverage. At least that is the case in Colorado; I rented in California.
