A great place to eat. You will need a mask to enter here. Great service and staff. Food was delicious. It was crowded but, there are plenty of seats. The bathrooms were very clean. And, there is plenty of parking. I highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat. Great place to eat with friends or family.
Bobs Big Boy is such an iconic place. The food is just as good now as when I remembered going with my family as a kid. Whether its late night eats or all-day breakfast, lunch or dinner you cant go wrong. Our son loved his french toast breakfast and our daughter said her burger was one of the best shes ever had. Of course you can never go wrong with a salad and their delicious blue cheese dressing. Yum! And what meal is complete with out a cherry coke. Food and staff are always wonderful but the food tasted especially good at 2:30 on the morning after a long day! Worth the trip to stop buy and grab a bite to eat. If not Im the area, make sure you take some time to stop by Bobs!
What can I say about Bob’s? Just the thought of Bob’s conjures up so many memories. It takes me back to different stages of my life, eating with family or friends over the years.I have to say that I am kind of upset after my visit to Bob’s Big Boy. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t have bad food or bad service. The reason I am upset is that I don’t know why it took me soooooo long to try the fried chicken at Bob’s.The crunch off each and every bite was unreal. I also went for a side of biscuits and gravy. I have to say that the gravy is also an amazing dip for French fries! I think next time I go I will ask for my fries to be covered in it.My wife had the fish and chips and she loved them. The fish was flavorful and crunchy and the fries were perfect, especially dipped in the tartar sauce.I am now and will always be a long time Bob’s Big Boy fan.
A great historical diner, with excellent, cheerful service, fast cooks, a great menu, clean interior, ample parking and a great vibe. This one is the oldest remaining Bobs Big Boy in the world, really one of about two remaining from a giant chain that invented many aspects of the modern American hamburger, including that middle bun you might see in a golden arches item...Of course, a Big Boy burger is an appropriate thing to try, but do not miss their pastrami. And their pastrami cheeseburger is another piece of SoCal history, and a good example of the genre.
Iconic. This Bob’s Big Boy has seen a steady stream of Hollywood talent which continues today. A stones throw from Universal and across the street from Warner Brothers one can easily imagine oneself immersed in the era of the big studios. Close your eyes and make believe!
A nostalgic old diner in Burbank. Fun atmosphere with a lot of history - including a Beatles Booth where The Fab Four actually ate once upon a time. Breakfast, burgers, great shakes and the option to flavor your Coke with cherry and vanilla. Food was tasty - try the blue cheese burger. Service attentive - quick with refills - and not a long wait to be seated or served for how busy the place was when we were there. They even have souvenirs like mugs, stickers, and magnets, etc., you can buy to remember your visit. We stop in when in the area and will be back.
7-2-21:Classic diner from the 50s. Fun to see all the Bobs Big Boy kitch. Would definitely come back again!Came here for lunch and shared the fried chicken and the Hamburger double decker combo. The burger reminded me of a Big Mac because the buns, patties, and fixings were just like the Big Mac. Overall, the burger was pretty good. We also got 🍟 and a salad. One tip is that they put a lot of dressing on the salad. So if you dont want to drown in dressing, ask them to go light or put it on the side. Now the fried chicken was very tasty. Crispy and flavorful. The mashed potatoes though tasted watery. Odd and thought maybe they use instant. The veggies were over cooked and tasted like it had margarine. Could be totally wrong but thats what it tasted like.Service was very good. Servers were masked and felt safe eating at the restaurant.
Enjoyed a breakfast of Belgium Waffles ( eggs & sausage). Also had to get a couple of the tea cakes and BB stickers at the front counter. The wait from checking in to sitting down to our table was less than 10 minutes. Enjoyed our visit today hope to come back soon to try the lunch menu.
Our Friday night favorite place , when in town. On Friday’s there is a show of many different Vintage, classic , cars , bikes, and various unique show vehicles. We are “Car Show” people and this is just a must do! It’s also always nice to get a “Big Boy special” to reminisce of ( old times ) our younger years. Even an old fashioned ice cream shake comes in the a steel large cup to enjoy! Have FUN here!! Must try it out!
What a Iconic Place to eat, Were were on our way back to the Bay and decided to stop and munch. The staff was very friendly, The Food was great, our waitress (Vivian) was absolutely awesome ....She was very Tentative before and while we dined considering it was our groups 1st time eating there.Well worth stopping !!!!
2022.01-09/SUN.0945: Yays! Janelle was working today! When is she not?!! We love her! We saw her and waved and she was able to sit us in her section! Always such a pleasure seeing her happy face to start our day! All the servers at Bobs has ALWAYS been awesome no matter who you get! They run the operation like In and Out. Superb customer service and their quality of food, portions and pricing is always good. We originally headed to Sweet Butter on Ventura but opted for friendly smiles and table service. We decided to go all out today and have something out of the ordinary. We had the The Big Three and a Belgian Waflle with two eggs and sausage. Our Big Three came with three eggs, three flapjacks and three links of sausage. We ordered extra sausage on the side because their links are delicous! We already had pork belly last night so we werent feeling bacon today. Our Belgium Waffle combo came with two eggs and sausage. I had Janelle bring me fresh strawberries and butter for my waffle because Im not fond of syrup at all.We had such a great breakfast and a great start to our day knowing that we were able to be graced by Janelle. Shes the best! She always kept our drinks filled and just being around her was very calming. Its very busy at Bobs but when you have a chance to enjoy the good company and want great service, you can at Bobs.2019:Love this place! No matter what time of day we visit, the service is excellent! We were greeted by a huge smile from Esther! She has the best sense of humor ever and is the sweetest. We didnt have to wait long at all. It was quick and the host was also friendly when he sat us. It was MLK Jr. Day so it was busy with many large parties. We had one of the best servers there, Kebra. She always had a smile and took really good care of us even though her section was quickly being filled by a couple of four tops and a large 15 top party. She rocked and always remained serene and calm.We had the fried chicken entree and the 8 oz. Sirloin steak. With our entrees we chose a nice side salad, steamed vegetables and mash potatoes. His fried chicken came with white gravy. I didnt want gravy and Im so glad. Those were the creamiest, rich mash potatoes Ive ever had. I would definitely go there just for a side of them. The fried chicken was juicy, lightly crispy and well seasoned. My steak was cooked to perfection - rare. I was surprised that my steak was cooked so well. There was clear fluid running out of it yet it was seared, juicy and deliciously rare! This place never fails. Everyones attitudes are wonderful here and make our experience memorable. As we left, again we encountered lovely Esther who wished is a nice evening. Whatever they are doing here must be the same practices as In and Out because they never disappoint, provide exceptional customer service and the food preparation and quality is consistent. Kudos to the chefs and staff - no wonder its constantly the best 24/7!!!!
Great service and very tasty food. We had a party of 6 all with separate checks but our waitress didnt bat an eye. I wish I wouldve got her name because she was a Saint. We did tip her well for her service for sure simply because she deserved every bit of it. Oh and we didnt have to wait to be seated even though it was a Sunday night at 6pm. Over all it was a great dining experience.
We vacationed for 8 days in L.A. and ate at very high end celebrity restaurants just for the experience. I can tell you that people in L.A. are not the nicest people on the planet. They are very fake and self-absorbed. If you are not a celebrity, you are nothing there. Then there is a very special server named Beverly who works at this Big Boy. She is a treasure. She made sure that we were well taken care of even though she was so busy during our visit. She made us feel like we fit in and that we were just as important as any celebrity. Our food was great, but its the service that stood above everything else. Thank you Beverly!!! I hope your boss appreciates you as much as we do.
Bobs for anyone who grew up in the 50s to the 70s is a great place to go. Just as much fun and tastes the same as it always has.Great nostalgia. Food is as good as it always was. Hits the spot every time. If you have never been there, it is a Must before you have no teeth.
You have to visit the original. Other diners, including other Bobs franchises, dont compare to the original. The food has changed just a bit over the years, noticeable to someone whos frequented for decades, but it still retains that Bobs quality. If you like diner burgers, go to the original Bobs. Find the Beatles seat if you can.
The original Bobs burger was just bland....A little disappointed for paying nearly $13 for a hamburger. Not great tasting but was edible.Well make better choices next time. About the only thing that you can bank on at these diner-type restaurants is breakfast items.Great atmosphere, though.
My breakfast sandwich was perfectly prepared. The grilled sourdough bread blended easily with the cheese, turkey sausage and yummy scrambled eggs. The hash browns were crunchy on the outside and almost mashed potatoes on the inside-my preferred style of HB.Service and prices are always on point.
Went to Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank during car show on Friday. The cars were great but the car hop service was terrible! I ordered the Original Bob’s BB Burger Combo and hubby ordered Cobb salad. My burger combo’s fries were cold and not much flavor and the waiter never brought my salad that comes with it. My husband’s Cobb salad was just mediocre. The waiter forgot to bring straws for drinks, ketchup, napkins and never came back to bring my salad or check on us until he brought our bill. If you do go to car hop show eat some place else before you go check out the cars!
Fantastic food and fantastic service! We drove the extra miles from the Northridge location this location because it didnt look like we would receive the level of service that we did here. Jose was on point every step of the way, anticipating our every need! Thank you so much! 😋👍
Iconic 50s style diner in Burbank California down the street from Warner Brother Studios still has car hops on the weekends they have a classic car show every Friday night from 4-10 p.m. their menu is a classic American diner menu food is good I would recommend them If youre in the area especially on Friday night with all the classic cars on hand
An oldie, but goodie! Great food, great atmosphere and wonderful service! Our host Jason not only seated us, but took care of our drinks and got us settled in until our server Rachel K. could take our order. They were no so helpful, friendly and had such a great sense of humor. We got treated like family. Love this place!!!
As a local, this will forever be one of my favorite places to have a fulfilling dinner, or just a cup of hot cocoa. If youre not eating breakfast, a must have is of course their onion rings with thousand island dressing on the side. Their crispy and perfectly fried every time. This visit I decided to try their openface turkey plate, it was delicious! Tasted like Thanksgiving!Be sure to also treat yourself to their chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla, its the best!We visit a few times a month, and our food is always cooked wonderfully and the waiters are always polite and on their A-game.I was just telling my husband, I plan to come here forever. And I mean that.
I though Bobs Big Boy was out of business thank goodness my family found one! It was THEE original right down to the building and the recipe is the same as remember more than 50 years ago .Fries are just like I remember so good! you get a freash salad with combo before you get your burger n fries. The burgers come slightly rare so be sure to ask for well done if you dont like pink in your burger but their ground beef is freash not frozen so Im good with it! Oh and remember that hot fudge vanilla icecream chocolate cake OH YES still there! With a cherry 🍒 on top!
Food was ok but the service was horrible, asked for yes no ice for the both of us came loaded with ice. Asked for raspberry tea had no flavor at all. Asked for no lettuce burger was overloaded with it.the waitress saw my husband scraping the lettuce off and walked away never asked if there was a problem or not. When I worked for them if we had done that we were fired on the spot.
Im going to give this an awesome review😃👌Best place 2 eat... friendly service and, the best American food ever !!! Worked here for 13 yrs. Id do it again😃👌Come try the *Chilli Spaghetti 🍝 w/Garlic 🧄 Toast and, Soup or, 🥗 Salad👌😀I had the *Chicken Tortilla Soup* w/My order today... awesomeness 😋So yummy 😋😀👌
Classic historic mainstay. Big boy burger never disappoints, complete with fries and a side of Bleu cheese! Service could be better - waiter was missing and we couldnt really get refills or napkins without flagging him down, but they were also pretty busy. Always worth a visit with the strawberry pie finale! And open 24 hours.
Like stepping back in time. The original decor and space really takes you back and sets a great mood. From the display cases to the neon, all are great. But the greatest is the food which is still consistent and as delicious as I remember as a kid. The chili spaghetti is so unique and original and a standout for taste. The Pappy Parker fried chicken is the crispiest and some of the tastiest fried chicken of all time, and the classic Bobs combo really is the 1950s in a bite. Top it off with a hot fudge cake with fudge that tastes like no other and this is truly a gut busting, smile inducing meal.
Always came here as a kid, still has that diner feel. I order the veggie burger, love that it comes with avocado. Includes fries and a salad. Drove to this one because they have Tea Cakes and they are So freaking good. Cute spot and because of covid, they had the drive through open. Really a throw back feeling.
Who could resist the adorable face of the Big Boy! Its been at least 40 years since Ive been in a Big Boy Restaurant. Being able to visit one during my visit to LA brought back so many happy childhood memories. The Burbank location was clean and everyone there was friendly and helpful. I sat with my family in a spacious corner booth. Some of us enjoyed pancakes and others had cheeseburgers. I regret not being able to come during a cruise night. Im sure that is so fun. Thanks for the nostalgia, Big Boy. I hope I get to visit again someday.
I hadnt been to Bobs in years. So I was visiting a friend in Glendale and we decided to go to Bobs. It was a pleasant experience, friendly staff, good food and a delightful waitress. The food was good and served up fast. So if you are feeling like a Big Boy or breakfast or anything in between you know Bobs is the place to be.
Its been since before covid that I was here was looking forward to a in forward to a lunch and a chilly size and my wife was looking forward to a Burger with homemade onion rings.Sadly that was not to be they no longer make their own onion rings theres no blue cheese and the blue cheese dressing theres no tomatoes carrots or anything else in the salad which was just some chopped up hearts of iceberg lettuce the chilly size was cooked with inferior meat and The Onion rings came out of a Box and once they cooled off though they were served cold to begin with were terrible I must were terrible I must say that after years of coming here this will be the last time .Very disappointed
Really good veggie burger and alright vegan burger. Fries were pretty good, but the drinks are what were awesome. You can customize then with different flavors, and they have Mr. Pibb. Try the cherry Mr. Pibb!!Also they do a car show every once and a while and what they had to see was really cool!!
Late night greasy food after a night of drinking, this is a must. On Friday night you can come to see all of the hot rod cars here. This is a historic landmark for Burbank and is worth it just for the milkshakes alone. This isnt the place to come if you are on a diet or staying away from carbs. But if you are looking for large servings of guilty pleasure food items then look no further. You really cant go wrong with any burger on the menu. Patty melts are on point especially when you add some onion rings to the mix. The pies are OK but like I said you must get the milkshakes! You will get your glass full as well as the extra in the silver cup. You will love eating here but you will feel guilty later. Might as well go big or go home. There is an outside area to eat, the diner bar, or you can get a booth. If you are looking for a cheat day meal then look no further.
Brought my family (4 adults and 5 kids) for a new years breakfast. We are a big group and seating for 9 isnt easy. The staff managed to make it work. Our waitress was nice and attentive to our needs as needed. The kids were given crayons and menus to draw on which helped keep them entertained. I ordered the steak and eggs and coffee, classic diner breakfast. My experience overall was pleasant.
Wanted to visit Bobs on account of the history and architecture of the place. Was expecting run of the mill diner food but what I got blew me away! Now I understand why the Double Decker is famous. What an incredible meal. Ive been dreaming about this burger ever since I left. I need to go back asap! To top it off the service was great!
Ummmm drove from San Francisco to LA because I wanted to go to a diner. But which diner, there are many options in Los Angeles. But which one to choose? The key criteria are ambiance, deals, clientele, decor and food. 1. Ambience: Bobs big boy’s ambiance is 10/10 everyone in California needs to see this. 2. Deals: Were talking deals. Pretty solid value for money. It’s hard because there are other diners that also great value for money but can’t complain, pretty good value for money. Not the best deal I’ve ever had but not the worst deal. 3. Clientele: there were a lot of people at bbb at 11 o’clock at night but we didn’t have to wait long for a table. Other patrons also seemed to appreciate deals and milkshakes as many people ordered milkshakes. Unlike some diners I’ve been to I didn’t fear too much for my personal safety but I was a little intimidated but the BIG BOI holding the hamburger outside. 4: decor: speaking big boys, there some big big boys and smaller big boys (aka medium boys) displayed. Lots of diners draw inspiration from this classic decor. One comment when. Used the bathroom the gaps when I was using te toilet were so wide I could see in-n-out. Lastly 5: food: food was good, milkshake was great five stars.
Ive been a loyal customer at Bobs big boy for at least seven years now and I ordered the super big boy combo every time it seems to me that they changed the patties inside of the burger... the new Patty it was on my burger today seemed way thicker than before and it didnt have a good texture it was somewhat rubbery and chewy. oh my God you reminded me of a bad burger that has been Frozen too long.when leaving I asked the cashier at the front desk if the patties had changed and she said that theyre the same. I dont find this to be true and I would like answers thank you very much Bobs...
Unfortunately, my friend and I got so sidetracked with this classic car expo we werent expecting that we didnt eat. But this expo was really cool. Proud car owners were near their vehicles fielding questions, chatting, and perhaps making friends with car lovers from all over. The spirit of camaraderie was amazing and there were so many unique looking vehicles to wonder at / admire. I absolutely want to go back to Bobs and try the food. It was filled to the rafters when we got there, so you know its good!
I have many fond memories that take place in this restaurant. Growing up near it, me and buddies used to dive in here often, grab a bite, and chat at whatever hour of the day it was. The place is vintage, everything fits the theme and really reminds me of my childhood back when my uncle used to take me here every few months or so. Its a big part of my personal history, and the hot rod nights birthed my love of cars. Really I dont have much negative stuff to say about it. If service is slow its cuz its packed, if its packed its because its Bobs. A solid restaurant and a huge part of my childhood. And the foods not bad tooI recommend the chicken club :)
I have so many memories going here with my family. Theres a good reason why. Because its a historical landmark, has great food, and it has a nice souvenir shop too. I got the top sirloin steak and it is by far the best steak I have ever had. It is juicy but not too juicy and not too crunchy either. I love the little touches like the paper straws or the crushed ice or the textures cups.
Wow, this was a very good experience at Bobs this time. Of course, I have been going to Big Boy throughout my life, childhood through adulthood.Todays visit was especially good. I dont eat red meat anymore. However, I really wanted an old school Big Boy burger, so I asked if they could make one with turkey rather than beef. They did! They even split the turkey patty in two to emulate the thin beef burgers on a Big Boy. They went above and beyond for me. Kudos! Compliments to the chef and to the waitress. Was acting as tour guide for a Twin Peaks fan friend, and we went here because of the Lynch connection. However, this friend also came to visit to see Sir Paul McCartney at Dodger Stadium, so finding out there was a famous booth where the Beatles had lunch at Bobs one day made her day.Too bad they didnt keep as meticulous of information on the booth David Lynch would sit in to have coffee and a milkshake, and dream up amazing stories. Nobody working there still remembered.
Ive been going to this place for 30 plus years. Like most restaurants since covid breakout....the service...the quality of the food have taken a hit. If this wasnt such an iconic Big Boy location they most likely have closed the doors by now. Still might based on the quality.
Walking into Bobs Big Boy restaurant is an awesome experience. The friendly staff greeted us and gave us a realistic estimate wait to get our table. The hot fries and fresh and appetizing flavors were worth all the wait. I ordered the chili size which had a very generous helping of chili and burgers for the rest in our group. Our friendly waitress kept our soft drinks on point! Cant wait to visit again soon!
The waitress was wonderful, but my fries and mixed vegetables were cold. Plus my fried shrimp got soggy because of it all being on one plate. I also did not like the way they cooked the fried shrimp. I remember them being butterflied before and fried not the whole thing fried. It was not a good meal
I took my family here for our first time and we loved it! They were very busy and crowded since it was on a Saturday and the waitresses were still providing great customer service to all the tables!!! We loved their thick shakes. Their menu is filled with good and delicious options! Im definitely going again!
Oh Yes good ol famous Bobs big boy known for their famous cheeseburger the big boy combination and there kick butt dessert the favorite of mine the delicious hot fudge cake. Nice atmosphere, clean, friendly staff, fast service, family & kid friendly, a go to spot on Friday nights from 6pm to 10pm cars start to pull in come from all around and hang out to look see admire have a good ol time here stop on by take a picture with the world famous Bobs Big Boy statue and most definitely bring your classic car, hot rod, ratrod, motorcycle, or whatever you drive come on down tell a friend spread the word take some pictures enjoy.
Definitely disappointed with my visit to Bobs. Our waiter didnt bring salads, he said he forgot. And famous bob combo was so overcooked, and littey dry, also fries were cold. Not sure what up, they seem busy, and have been there for 6 decades...right? Just a nudge to pick it up, i would like to give a shot again, but apprehensive.
Come over on a Friday evening and you will get to see some beautiful classic cars! Seating takes about 25 minutes or more’So before you check out the cars I would recommend putting ur name in with the hostess so they can text you when your table is ready! The large order of onions rings and the strawberry milkshakes are a must! Of course the Hamburgers are a classic also. :)
Its a diner! So I give it a diner 5 stars. Its nostalgic. Its the very original Bobs Big Boy!!Ive been there several times and really enjoyed it every time. They are accommodating to vegans. There arent but one out two vegan choices but they are there. The service has always been good and the food tasty. The burger is a classic.I like the Friday night car show. Its a great family place too!
Good 24 hour diner in Burbank not far from iHeart Media and Warner Brothers studio. Last two times I was here, I ordered to-go items. Service at the counter has always been friendly and outstanding. Food has also been top notch. Good food, good service, great hours and location with plenty of parking - what else can you ask for?
I had stopped coming here after one incident where we got home and realized our order was completely wrong. We love big boys but stayed away for a while until today. We came back and we were treated really well by the host. I made my order and got home completely satisfied with it, Beverly I think is her name, amazing customer service and she took care of us well. I will definitely come back to being a regular here again.
This place is hardy - large, meaty portions for a good price. But... theres nothing special about the flavor. I even found it to be a bit bland. So many enticing options around this area, this one is mostly for its novelty.Service was nice enough, but the method for paying your bill is vexing; who wants to stand in line to give someone money after eating a mediocre meal?
Somehow, I accidentally deleted my first review. So, I must start over. We love eating here!!! This Bobs is amazing! I love anything vintage and this place rocks! The food is yummy and the desserts are delicious. We had the Big Boy Combo with onion rings! It was delicious! We also had the most amazing server! She was dressed vintage and looked so adorable. I dressed my girls 50s style, so they could really have fun! Next time I will make my hubby dress 50s style too!!! I look forward to our next visit!!!!!!
What a classic Googie diner! Oldest original Bobs Big Boy (est. 1949). Been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Bacon and eggs are great, the Big Boy classic double decker burger is... well - classic. Car shows every Friday. Open 24/7, and usually you have to wait to be seated, but they get you seated pronto. Generous senior discount available - remember to ask for it at the register. Big Bobs Big Boy Bonus - try to get seated in The Beatles Booth.
I ate at the oldest Bobs big boy this week in California. The Origional Double Decker never disappoints. My particular guest even found safe gluten sensitive option by ordering without bread. The friendly server Alma was happy to show us the flavoring packet to confirm the ranch was safe! I cant find a more consistent burger and the car shows are fun as wells. We loved the Burbank location.
🍔 Burgers are awesome!!! Shakes are amazing!!!🍒Cherry Cokes from the fountain are delicious and the 🍟 French fries are so yummy!!! 😋 Its such a fun vibe you cant help but have a great time there. The Friday night 🚗 🚙🚕🚐🏎️🚘shows are a blast. Theres a huge Big Boy statue in front so good for photo ops.#SoooFun😀😃😄😁😆🙂🙃😊☺️😌
This iconic landmark restaurant lives up to the legend! I had been wanting to try this place for years. Having recently moved to Los Angeles from Seattle I finally got my chance. When we arrived just after noon on a Friday the place was fairly busy. We were able to find a parking spot in the lot and only had to wait a few minutes for a table. At this point the staff are wearing masks at all times and customers wear masks when not seated at a table. Loved the 1950s diner atmosphere.I had to try the famous Original Big Boy combo on my first visit. On the recommendation of a local friend my wife ordered the Bleu Cheese Burger combo. The little starter salad that came with combo meal was light and delicious. The super cold lettuce reminded me of the salad included in a meal at the Old Spaghetti Factory. We learned that you can buy the amazing tasting Bobs Bleu cheese dressing in some supermarkets. Well be on the lookout for that. For context, anywhere else in the normal universe, I dont like bleu cheese. They must teleport this stuff from somewhere else in the multiverse because I love it.I wondered if the burgers and fries might turn out to be... just OK. Possibly overhyped due to the longevity of the brand. WRONG!!! They were a food joy wow experience. The fries were terrific. Thin and crispy, hot right out of the fryer. The burgers were outstanding. The softness of the buns was unprecedented. It was like eating a cloud that was freshly brought down from heaven. All the toppings contributed equally to a perfectly balanced burger experience. The beef was exceptional. They dont boast about the composition or sourcing of their beef patties, but they could. In conclusion, WOW! I was eagerly looking forward to coming back before we even left the restaurant. The legend is real, folks. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.
An average diner with a real old school vibe. Just stick to the basics and say a little prayer. Id never get anything here but a classic, simple burger, stack of flapjacks or a beef dip. They do the simple classics the best, anything else on the menu should be considered suspect.
Had to stop by here while in LA. We are huge Beatles fans and read about them eating here. We were seated right next to the booth they ate at. All the staff were very friendly and our breakfast was wonderful. We will definitely go back the next time we visit the area. We also bought some cool t-shirts there.
The food and atmosphere here is amazing. I was on vacation in LA and we ate here both days that we had breakfast. The staff is friendly, the food is great, and its definitely a historical place. A wall with famous actors that have eaten there, and even a booth that the Beatles ate in before the release of Help! Definitely recommend
We ordered Southern Blockbuster Breakfast for dinner and Big Boy Classic Burger with fries. I ordered mine with all bacon and came with sausage and bacon and didn’t have enough gravy on biscuits. The burger & fries were good! The food came out fast and server was running around busy
This is always a fun place to go eat after a show, or any other activity. The food is always consistent and yummy. The decor is fun to look at with nostalgic photos of old cars from local car clubs. Ive been coming here for over 25 years and I plan on coming back for at least the sameI recommend the Chili Spaghetti with the hamburger patty. Always filling and satisfying.

2022-01-05Cozy and tasty classic diner. I got the blue cheese burger which was quite good. I should have added bacon which would have been better. Great spot for an old time diner experience. The staff was kind and patient even though it was super busy.

2022-03-19Bob’s big boy offers great food selection and reasonably priced. No waiting lines and super friendly customer service. We would definitely be back since our kids loved the milkshakes. The lady’s room is small but fully stocked.

2022-02-16The signature burger is alright. For the price it’s a huge portion. Taste wise it’s a pretty typical burger. The fried chicken is excellent. Very crispy skin and moist chicken. The place is physically quite dirty like the floor is slick, dust in many places, etc

2022-05-22The food was great when we went a couple weeks ago. Fried chicken is banging. Our table of 3 was a bit confused though since after we got our food our server Maria disappeared. We dont know if she was working in a section out of view or what. But our table of three and the table next to us of 5 or 6 were ghosted and didnt get any drink refills. She asked how the food was but then we didnt see her til it was time to pay. And we had to get someones attention to find her so we could pay.

2022-04-18As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the hostess who quickly sits you. Not long after the waiter comes gets your order for some drinks and seconds after that you’re ready to place your food order. With plenty of room to sit atmosphere is great staff is friendly. Your right across The Garry Marshall Theatre. For today I went with bobs classic Burger which is always a winner buns lightly Toasted on the grill, patties are the bomb fries are lightly seasoned crispy and taste great never soggy. Whatever you decide to choose it’s all good, your gonna like it no you’re gonna love it. And if you’re lucky you’ll get Juan as your waiter as for all the waiters and waitresses tip them good cause I did for a great great meal. By the way Thank you Bobs Big Boy for reminding me what it was to be me an relax.

2022-04-20Step back in time. This was definitely an exciting find on my vacation! I didnt realize any of these still exist. 20 minute wait and service was slow but they were slammed as it was Good Friday. Food is just as I remember it growing up...really good.

2022-06-29Bobs was exactly the way I remembered it with the soft over cooked spaghetti aka perfect, with the chili thats large in flavor with crumbles of meat throughout the sauce. I know its weird but I add ketchup. And their crunchy garlic toast is great. The plus is that theyre open past 930.

2022-06-06I had their fried chicken and it was one of the best fried chickens I ever had. My son got the Big Boy burger and my wife got the fish and chips which were both equally as good.
