My wife and I stayed here for a weekend away, and we had an amazing time. The Bordeaux room was posh, comfortable and romantic. I couldnt get my wife to turn off the toasty gas fireplace, which warmed us up quickly after a cold day of skiing. For the money you get premium service, including a wine and cheese platter and breakfast for every day of your stay, year-round hot tub access and a jacuzzi tub (in the Bordeaux Room, at least). The grounds are beautiful, even better with a fresh dusting of snow, and the inn is located within walking distance of excellent restaurants and a cafe with great coffee. The bed was very comfortable; getting up and out of the warm blankets was the hardest part of my day.Our car battery died while we were staying here, and one of the owners actually offered for us to borrow his car to drive to an autoparts place to get a new one. My wife and I had already taken care of it by then, but the offer is yet another example of the excellent visitor care you will receive at this place. I would love to stay here again sometime.

This is the best small bed & breakfast in the world. Just 5 rooms all on one level. The owners greet you like family. A variety of wine and cheeses served every afternoon and a gourmet breakfast every morning. The great room is an awesome place to relax and the whole place is surrounded by pine trees yet still close to town. Very modern yet quaint. Every time we visit there is something new and updated.

This is a one of a kind special place. I was lucky enough to work a wedding here yesterday. This is a beautiful property. The husband and wife team really knows how to run a top notch facility. I must personally thank Bruce for his flexibility. Without him I dont think I would have been able to pull off my Job as flawless as I did. You can tell they love what they do. It would be my pleasure to one day come back to this Bed and Breakfast resort.

Had a super wonderful holiday weekend here. Property is so well cared for and beautiful. Bruce and Wendy are absolutely amazing hosts. Everything was perfect. We couldnt have asked for a better place to have our family gathering. I can picture this being the most beautiful wedding venue as well if youre looking for a smaller mountain wedding. Breakfasts were amazing everyday.

Our 5-night stay at the Black Bear Inn was absolutely Wonderful!! The breakfast served each morning was delicious --- the Pecan Crusted French Toast being my favorite! Our Wine & Cheese Trays each afternoon were a splendid treat --- enjoying a different glass of local wine each day along with a delectable variety of cheeses, nuts, crackers, fruits, and salami. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable! The Black Bear Inn lobby is a very peaceful place to sit and chat or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings! The owners were very accommodating and a joy to talk with during our stay. This B&B exceeded all of our expectations --- a great location, in the heart of Arnold! A Fantastic place to stay!! We will be back on our next trip to California!

We were very impressed by the place, and the quality of service. The advertising doesnt do it justice. At the time when many stopped even trying, and just take your money, here it is: traditional hospitality and modern comfort. The scenery around is beautiful, the grounds exquisitely maintained. Large room, spacious bathroom with a private jet bath, breakfast and happy hours made with love and care, attention to details. Many attractions walking distance - hiking trails, a lake, restaurants, shopping. We had a great time and plenty of rest.

My husband and I got married here 10-21-17 and it was the perfect place to have our wedding. We booked the wedding package and came a day early (Thursday) to set up. I highly recommend this venue as well as booking an additional night and arriving a day early. Our wedding was very intimate with just 16 people. The inn owners Wendi and Bruce are so warm and welcoming. You can feel the pride they have for their beautiful home. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the inside of the inn is immaculate with gorgeous high ceilings.Our ceremony was held outside and was stunning with the fall leaves in the background. With such a small group we were lucky enough to be able to have Chef Bruce cater our reception dinner inside the inn. We had the most amazing prime rib dinner. It was excellently prepared. The first course was a butternut squash bisque that is so good that I would make the trip back just for that!The 5 rooms were perfect for us with our closest family. We were able to take our time setting up which was so easy with Wendis help. Throughout the entire wedding planning process Wendi was just an email away. She was so helpful, I am sure I could not have planned this wedding without her.Thank you Wendi and Bruce for the perfect wedding experience. We will be seeing you again Im sure!

This place is magical. Wendi and Bruce are super sweet and cater to your every need. This has been the perfect retreat and quick getaway. We will definitely be making a tradition of Black Bear Inn.
