The staff at both their Long Beach and San Pedro locations are so amazing and helpful. Its amazing hearing some of the mens stories and having conversations with them and you cant beat the deals. Favorite thrift store hands down!
I love this place and always feel welcome by these guys and thier smiley faces and friendly personalities. Great prices and a wide variety of items that seems to change quickly. They are obviously doing something right and it shows.

Okay you asked so bare with me while I give, however lengthy, real and honest answers..The staff was awesome. They were available, knowledgeable, and attentive . The store was clean. It was well organized, well lit. and easy to move thru. The store is local and I can ride my bike there which pleases me immensely. I like to patronize stores in my neighborhood for 100 reasons you can figure them out on your own. There was a very wide range of unique items ,and there is definitely something, at least one thing, for everyone . I found a grip of little treasures and one of a kind items... Among Them ; rare vinyl albums, vintage purses and vintage sofas, antique luggage and 70s tshirts, gorgeous stemware,Collectors items and dish sets. I picked upSome wooden cups (brilliantly carved) in grand shape and 2 decks of (dated 1950) cards (99 cents) absolutely untouched (hello coolest hostess of poker night for having bad arce cards thank you very much) shop therapy is alive and well..it was a great and much needed experience out there in there...One will be glad and pleased having gone shopping here.This stores ONLY shortcoming is the price tag. Thrift stores; way overpriced. I know they are worth what they are asking im sure...HOWEVER .. those that cant buy brand new or dont like to for green reasons. Or like me Id much prefer someone else break in my t shirts and jeans before Ill wear em..but come on...20 bucks for jeans? 20 bucks for a purse or briefcase? 25.00 for an end table? 7 dollars for a tank top. ?59.00 for a cheaply framed picture??. I dug deep to find budget friendly items and had to pass on some that would have broke me!Its a problem everyone agrees...and to know that every item in there was donated, for free, it feels a little like greedy is more present than good will and just based on prices alone someone ought to figure out how to move that merchandise (hint lower your prices and stuff will go flying out the door..)I didnt see anyone else walk out with a purchase in the hour I was shopping.I saw dozens walk in and barely linger after checking the price tags. In this time of great financial stress for heavens sake realize you need us to stay in business, so do something for us that we need. Be more reasonable with thrift pricing!!!! Your products are used..and not in shortage. Abundance is always going to be free for you. You wont run out of supply ever...look at your backup as it is. Please see past mogal and sales genius... the original owners of the 99cent store for example. You get it for free give it all for seemingly small profit. you are plentiful In quantity alone you will make big profit ! Give us thrft pricing!! Its smarter than losing all those sales for that hour...wouldnt you agree?OverallGO THERE ITS BETTER THAN GREATYOU WILL LOVE IT! !!

Tonight was actually my forth visit here and was I ever so excited to see that there were specific color tags for 25/50/75% off n YELLOW was the color for 75% off n I found 5 yellow tag items n 4 other color items n only paid $9 dollars.....yah!!! 3 gentlemen working were absolutely helpful n made my time spent there a happy time we laughed alot (forgive me for forgetting the cashier) cause you were the bomb) grateful to DANNY and KEVIN...make it that way everyday. I got a 2 piece luggage set for a really really good price and they looked almost brand new so that saved me more money for my trip so I cant complain plus everyone there was nice.
They have a wide selection of used merchandise but most of the furniture and the store in general is dirty. Beacon House Thrift should clean and wipe down EVERYTHING before putting it on the sales floor. I hardly wanted to touch anything. Tip if you shop at BHT-wear gloves.
Awesome place never sure what the guys will spring on me but Ive found some real gems and Im going back over and over and Im evenTaking friends.They get the greatest furniture Ive ever seen in any thrift store,so If youre looking for a great addition to your home stop by and you just might find that piece you need.

2021-07-23The Beacon House is really best thrift store in Long Beach now and its staff are both very professional as well warm, kind, and very helpful. The clothes are sum of best i have seen and they have great deals daily and weekly and they do whatever is needed to help there customers have best shopping experience ever and most these guys are in recovery and are a joy to be around not to mention very easy on the eyes 👀 😎 If you havent yet checked out the BEACON HOUSE THRIFT SHOP YOU ARE SERIOUSLY MISSING OUT ON A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

2021-02-22Really great customer service! Way nicer than Ive experienced at thrift stores. Selection is pretty good, especially for clothing, glassware/dishes, furniture, art. A little smaller on toys and books quantity.

2021-05-25I absolutely love this place!! Amazing selection. I bought a cough at a really great price, but was immediately welcomed. The staff was amazing! 4 men who youd think was working at a balmain store lol customer service mastery level. I havent been to a Authentic thrift store in 4yrs until now. I highly recommend and will be back soon!

2021-06-07I thrift/estate sale/swap for a living and I honestly thought this store was crazy over priced & had very little selection.. It reminded me of a bad garage sale and some of the items were dirty...Everything of real value was placed behind a table in glass or out of reach or up on a shelf, so you couldnt check it out with asking for an employee.. which is annoying when everybody is busy. Lol 🙄To be fair, I should mention Ive only come into this store once so maybe they were just having a bad day but its rare for me not to find ANYTHING in a thrift store!!!I will mention that the guys working there were super sweet and were all part of the rehabilitation program that the store is funding; which I thought was pretty cool!😊
