We glad that despite hire some one from New York we hired Bal Jagat- Childrens World Inc. for adoption of my son who is now almost 9 years old. From the day we file for an application, Hemlata who is owner of this agency and her daughter Mausami help us getting through every phase of the process without any delay and answer all questions. They even follow up with Indian Central government to expedite the adoption process. Their application fees was reasonable compare to other agencies. They even help us finding a responsive agency in New York to complete our home study and post adoption follow up. It is lifetime bonding with Bal-Jagat Childerns world Inc. as without them not sure how we have had completed adoption in short time frame and completed our family . I highly recommended other prospective adoptive parents to contact them to get guidance and service.

I first met Hemlata and Mausami at TiECon in 2012. I had no idea five years later I would come to them for an intercountry (international) adoption. Last week I had my Orientation with both of them, and I walked out feeling very well-informed about the process of adopting a child from India, Pakistan, or Morocco. They spent almost four hours with me! For the value their Orientation fee is extremely reasonable (an attorneys fee would be more than double!).Bal Jagat provides several intercountry adoptions (India, China, African countries, Kyrgyzstan, others). They are Hague accredited, which means if you want to adopt from a Hague-only country, they can still help you.If there is a country you have in mind that they do not directly have a program for, Hemlata is very well connected with other agencies and she can make a new agency partnership for you. For example, I was interested in adopting from India as a possibility and during Orientation, given my preferences to adopt an infant, Hemlata suggested Morocco and answered all of my questions about timeline, costs, and preparation in extensive detail.Bal Jagats Social Workers (who help you with your home study) have been working with them for over 20 years! Hemlata has been doing this since 1983 and Mausami since the early 2000s. Together, their team is impeccable, which is exactly what I need. Mausami is also a licensed notary public, which is very convenient due to all the notary signatures required during the adoption process.If you are interested in adopting a child of any age from any country, call them first. These two ladies are highly ethical, well respected, and very well known in the adoption community. They are helping people from their hearts and will always guide you in the right direction.
I have worked for Bal Jagat - Children s World, Inc. since August 2012 as a social worker. It is run by a mother/daughter team of social workers and has been in business since 1983. I highly recommend this agency. They are extremely ethical, professional and caring. They truly understand all the possible complications involved in an international adoption and will go the extra mile to assist and guide their clients. Also, the training and attention they give to their social workers is wonderful. I recommend this agency with the highest confidence.
Some would say that my recommendation of Hemlata and Bal Jagat is a touch biased, however based on the work she does with this organization most would indulge me.I do know Hemlata on a professional basis, because I am one of her many success stories. My parents went through her organization almost 30 years ago to adopt a child to call their own. AMAZING, these ladies will give you the best services. This was my first experience with international adoption and I had so many questions. They always responded within the hour and I wasnt even a client yet. They were very thorough and helped me with recommendations. They responded quickly and very thoroughly every time. I only started the process and they were such good help without me even signing anything. Mausami was willing to meet with me an hour early before they opened so we can work with my husbands schedule. You can tell when someone loves their job and are willing to do anything to help and that is the case in Bal Jagat.Our adoption never begun because of the childs relatives changing their mind but If we do another adoption I wouldnt even hesitate on working with them again. I loved their dynamic and how they were always on top of things, Hemlata and Mausami are fantastic and Im sure these two ladies are going straight to heaven with all the service they have provided to so many families. I visited our great friends Mausami Momaya and Hemlata Momaya, a mother and daughter social work team who owns and manages an international adoptions agency called Bal Jagat children’s world Inc headquartered in Long Beach.They are experts on international adoptions and have been in operation for over 35 years with well over 5000 adoptions to their credit.Nearly every wall of their office is covered with pictures of successful adoptions from all over the world. They do direct service from several countries but also work with other agencies who have contacts in countries they don’t have direct contacts with.They are fully Hague accredited, the industry standard, and are a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Also what makes this adoption agency truly unique is the fact that they are non-religious. So they can assist couples who may have been denied from a religious based agency.

I was introduced to Mayo by my husband the other day. He was her Mailman and would tell me about the work with orphaned children worldwide they do to find them loving homes. As I entered there office I was blown away to see the hundreds of children’s pictures displayed on there walls. Many of whom they have helped to find them loving homes. Mayo and her mother Hemlata are two wonderful ladies who have devoted there lives in helping to find homes for children from all walks of life and and worldwide discriminating with no one. They are wonderful ladies who I met and respect what they do every day !!!
We are the luckiest people in the whole world. My husband originally found Bal Jagat and we were fortunate to work with Hemlata and her daughter.We went through the whole home study course with our wonderful social worker Luisa and after the process was complete, with Bal Jagat and Luisa guiding us along the way, we became a forever family with the most amazing, wonderful, beautiful, handsome, incredible, fabulous, son Nicholas who was born in Romania.We were able to get him when he was 10 1/2 months old in Bucharest and now hes almost 13 years old! We have been working with Hemlata and Mausami of Bal Jagat for a little over a year now. We came to them with an interest in working with a country that does very few international adoptions but we felt passionate and strongly about trying.From our very first meeting, we were so struck at how informed, thorough and heartfelt they are about what they do. I cant say enough about this agency as they really care about the adopting families and the children being adopted. Looking for information I reached out and this lady took the time to explain me the entire process. Next steps and how I should plan out the process even though based on our status we werent eligible and nor use the services of the agency. I rate them a 5 for the way she went beyond looking for a prospect and provided information out of sheer goodwill.
There isnt a more caring, knowledgeable and honorable organization out there if you are interested in learning how you can adopt. If you are in this market, give Bal Jagat a call, I promise you wont regret it.

2020-12-20Really wonderful agency! Hemlata and Mausami are incredibly warm and helpful people and guided my wife and I through the daunting process of international adoption. With their help and partnership with another agency (Children’s Home Society & Lutheran Social Services - Minnesota) specializing in Korean adoptions, we now have a little boy who is 21 months as of writing this!In addition, our social worker from Bal Jagat who did our home study and will do our post custody reports, Katy, is the best!We were so discouraged with the adoption process before we found Bal Jagat, but now we finally have our son and we are just thrilled!

My Mom adopted my sister from China through them (and loved this agency so very much!), and now I am going through my India adoption with them and couldnt be more grateful for all they do! The love and care they put in to each persons adoption process is truly unparalleled! Whenever I have a question about anything during the process I hear back right away, and they are so patient with all my many questions. 2017-11-15I can’t say enough positive things about Bal Jagat - Children’s World. Hemlata and Mausami have a world of knowledge regarding international adoptions. I used Bal Jagat when adopting my two daughters from China. Both times they made it such a positive experience and they are so reliable and friendly. Now 17 years later my youngest daughter is volunteering at their office once a week. She is amazed at all they do and all the pictures of the children they have placed with families are on the walls. If you are looking into adoption this is the only agency to go with.They have 34 years of experience and they are truly in this business for the children!

2018-05-18My experience with Bal Jagat Childrens World as a single adoptive mother was a very positive one, and Id highly recommend this agency to prospective adoptive parents. I first learned about Bal Jagat from family friends who had adopted from China and after meeting with Mausami and Hemlata, I knew I was in good hands. This is a small, family-run agency who are Hague-accredited and very experienced in international adoption. They truly care about the families they serve and want the best for both the parents and the children they bring together. They have been established and well respected in the community for many years and have won many awards for their work. They are always very warm and supportive on a personal level in addition to offering highly professional services and expert guidance at every step. They are up front about the challenges of adopting from different countries, and the process to get approved. The fees are clearly explained and any questions are answered promptly, in detail and with patience. They release an informative newsletter regularly and can connect prospective parents with each other - if so desired - for additional support and friendship. In my case, great friendships developed! I never felt I was asking too many questions of Bal Jagat, and felt supported throughout the entire process. Whether its via phone, email or a meeting at their lovely office, one is always treated with great warmth and respect, and provided with invaluable information. The social worker assigned to complete my home study was also wonderful. She was very professional, thorough with all the requirements and interviews, yet kind and encouraging so I felt we were all working as a team to prepare for a new addition to the family. The translator who was engaged for my China adoption was also very committed and clearly experienced in translating the paperwork as required. The journey towards adoption can be a long one, and there can be unforeseen challenges but Bal Jagat were with me all the way. I am now looking forward to bringing home my baby girl and taking her to Bal Jagat to introduce her to the wonderful people who made it all possible. 2016-03-29Bal Jagat Childrens Agency is an agency with a heart. Their mission is to find a happy home to orphan children from other poor countries. I went to visit their office one time.and I was amazed to see thousands of children photos all over the walls that already found a happy homes. Hemlata and Mausami know all the kids stories by heart when they showed me the photos. I would say Bal Jagat is the place to go if you plan to adopt a child because they are not only an agency with a heart but very dedicated and efficient of what they do.

2013-04-10My husband & I found Bal Jagat back in 1990 from a local newspaper that did an article on Romanian adoptions, and Bal Jagat was one of the places listed as helping with Romanian adoptions. This was before we had an Internet access! We are both adopted and decided we wanted to adopt too. We brought our son (13 months), and daughter (19 months) home 6 months later. We had wonderful support from Hemlata, and people she worked with in Romania. We look upon the time we spent in Romania for our adoption with wonderful memories (and we hope to go back there one day)! Our children are both 23 yrs old now (6 months apart), doing well, and we cannot imagine our lifes without them! We always enjoyed the Bal Jagat parties as the children were growing up too! We highly recommend Bal Jagat~Childrens World, Inc!
