The treats are great however the place smells like old burnt oil and it’s customer service is not true to its Mexican heritage. It’s winter and the place was cold and thye were playing really slow sad music. Mexican culture is warm, hospitable, going out of their way to accommodate their guests/customers and the owner (or at least the person that acts like they are) was really cold, arrogant and not hospitable at all. Even in Mexico when you come across arrogant store owners they’re still accommodating and hospitable. Taco truck workers go out of their way to accommodate customers & they’re working in harsh conditions in a vehicle. Why can’t someone working in an air conditioned store do the same? That element very disappointing because it didn’t have such a crucial part of the very culture it’s making money off of. If you’re going to profit off of Mexican culture stay true to it.
This shop is hands down one of the best hidden gems in this city, especially with the recently added flavors of Gansito, Ferrero Rocher, and a few others. An absolutely worth time driving down to the spot.Churros and afogados are also banger staples. Would visit again no question.
Very cute very clean space. A small parking lot just outside. I got the abuelita latte and really enjoyed it. It was super hot, and creamy you can tell they dont water it down. Also tried the Lechera latte iced and it was also very true to the expected traditional taste. I will definitely be back for a concha ice cream!
Where this place fell short for me was the ice cream, but the churros are definitely worth trying! My fiancee and I popped by on our way home from a nearby brunch spot, after seeing it on Yelp and wanting to give it a try. Of course being an avid Yelper I checked in once we arrived, to take advantage of the free scoop of ice cream upon check-in. We opted for the horchata ice cream, but were disappointed. It lacked flavor, and what flavor it did have didnt remind us of horchata. Additionally, the ice creams texture was a bit grainy. Luckily, the churros saved the day! We tried one of each of there filled churros: cream, caramel, and strawberry. I LOVED the strawberry and cream ones--so tasty! Wish they could combine the strawberry and cream fillings into one churro--then Id be in churro heaven! I wasnt into the caramel churro, but my fiancee enjoyed it.Service was friendly and quick too! All-in-all, a good experience and Id pop in for an order of churros again if Im in the area.
We enjoyed our experience here very much. We got one of their chabets, as well as some filled churros. The churros were really really good (especially the cajeta filled one). Only small complaints - they were out of a few different things on the menu, and they added milk to my coffee without asking, which is most definitely a cultural thing.
First timers and we were definitely blown away by the flavors. Everything we ordered was on point! We tried the Choncha and Churro Ice Cream Sandwich (Yum) Cafe de Olla (Yum) and the Strawberry and Watermelon Ice Cream (Yum). Highly recommend this place! Side note, when we were there, there was only one worker but he made sure we got our order right away. So kudos to him for delivering great customer service regardless of them being understaffed.
I loved this place! I came for their concha ice cream sandwich, but ended up getting their mazapan flan....yes, you heard right! MAZAPAN FLAN! It was as amazing as it sounds. I also tried their cafe de olla coldbrew, but I think next time Ill stick with just the original cafe de olla. This will be a place I visit every time Im in the LA area, its absolutely amazing!
Came here Thursday, September 5 at 8:30 PM and the place was closed. Closing hours were supposed to be at 9 PM. Shame on yall.Edit: Came here a few weeks later during the day and really enjoyed their drinks. The chocolate abuelita frape was dope. Friendly employees too.
Good Nieves with a decent selection of flavors just kinda a bit overpriced.Just make sure you called the “Chabets” cause apparently they are NOT Nieves or helados. The staff will be quick to correct you if you called them something else besides “Chabets”Just remember that you’re catering to a Hispanic community and your menu is composed of mostly spanish words..

2022-05-04Awesome place to come grab some desserts with friends. They have a good variety of items on their menu. From fresh waters to ice cream to churros. The place is very clean and the service is good.

2022-03-07Came in on a Friday evening (6pm) and it was pretty empty which was nice since its a small local coffee/ice cream/dessert shop.Had the Cajeta Latte, Horchata Latte, and an order of churros. The lattes were good but the highlight was the Churro. Highly recommend adding them to any coffee order! The local is really cute with colorful decoration and Frida Kahlo tributes.

2021-11-28AMAZING ice cream! LOVED the Mazapan ice cream but the mazapan ice cream paired with the churro was pure perfection🤤🍨 we got the 2 scoop of mazapan ice cream, cajeta ice cream and churros then another 2 scoops of the gancito and chocolate cookie ice cream with the churro😋 you do have to pay extra for the churro but I think its worth it! The interior of the shop looks super cute and aesthetically pleasing as well.

2021-10-17The place has really cute decor. Very warm and welcoming. Had a few tables for seating. Staff is nice and sweet. Variety of sweet treat selections. Had a list to choose an item for Elite Week and got a free scoop of ice cream for checking in! Chose the elote corn for the item and mango sorbet for the free scoop. The corn did not look very appetizing or special. It looked way better in their photos. They did not garnish it so it looks very much like it was whipped together too quickly. I would have be cool with it if it looks blah and tasted delicious but it did not taste special at all. Definitely better street corn elsewhere.Mango sorbet was delicious. I could taste the mangoes! It would pair really nicely with tart fruit like any variety of berries. Its too bad the place is difficult to spot from the street. I missed it and had to turn around. They have plenty of parking in their lot and a few street spots. They take mobile pay!

2021-11-14I’ve came here a handful of times so this is an overall rating. I recently came here on a Saturday around 3:30pm there was no wait time which was great. We had an ice cream cupcake, a concha with some chocolate abuelita ice cream(it was good for 2 people), el brownie which had two different flavored ice cream chocolate drizzle and some brownie bites, and we had some horchata iced latte(it was good but didn’t taste much like horchata). Customer service was amazing. They also had some concha ice cream cakes that looked delicious !

2021-10-13This place is really good. Little expensive (what isnt these days?), but I like their menu. Its a quiet little hole-in-the-wall coffee shop. Finding parking can be tricky. There is limited street parking, but its usually not that crowded so its not too bad. Downtown Anaheim has a very dense Hispanic population and the flavors of this place, like the Abuelitas, mazapan, horchata, etc. are very authentic. The decor is very cute too, especially during Hispanic Heritage Month.I recommend coffee places like this for 2 reasons: theyre nice, and theyre not Starbucks. Do yourself a favor and change it up a little bit.

2022-04-06Really great place. Sadly during the pandemic they were not allowed to make churros but overall their pastries and beverages are really good. Ive purchased horchata ice cream churro cakes from here several times and my friends and family have loved them. Definitely a good little spot to try.
