Loved it, honestly. And I specifically chose this hotel is because how good the FREE breakfast looked. Omg and the pics did it’s justice. I loved it. I got in the jucuzzi on my last night and I was so happy I got in. Great location if you’re going to DL and you can catch a shuttle from there for I believe $6 each. Thank you guys
The front desk attendant Bo was very rude. We booked our stay through Priceline no where on the site did it say that there was a $111.70 incidental fee. Bo the front desk attendant said thats just how it is done when we asked for our money back he said he couldnt do it the. Preceded to call security on us.we will never stay here an I recommend no one else stays here either.
Positive: The front desk clerk helped us check in quickly and put us in an alternative room due to the fact that we had our dog with us. The ability to have a easily accessible relief area for our pet was wonderful and made getting rest for all of us much easier Negative: I was only in town for surgery at a local outpatient facility and Was too short a visit to give a proper review but the short time there was well appreciated
Positive: The hotel was very clean. The complimentary breakfast was delicious everyday! The cook was so fast she was great! The pool and the hot tub were open! Staff was very friendly. Negative: The smoke detector went off around 12am. We called the front desk. Someone came and disconnected the alarm and took it with them. They said there were no batteries to replace it that it would be done in the morning. It was never fixed during the stay.
Excellent place!Great location (commute to Disneyland is 10 mins by car, commute by ART shuttle also convenient, approx 15-20 mins)Complimentary Breakfast was good - eggs, pancakes, sausage OR bacon, potatoes, fresh fruits, coffee, juice, and so on.EV charging is also available. 4 chargers on site, we found it always available and usable.Rooms very spacious and clean. They were well equipped, with a refrigerator/microwave/iron.
I had a lovely experience at this hotel. The staff was very kind, the location was great (directly down the road from Disneyland), and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good and the woman who was cooking it (fresh cooked breakfast!) was very kind.
Staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfy especially after a long day at Disney. The breakfast was yummy too! The only downfall was a family ( multi family) staying at the Hotel had zero respect for the pool area. They had food wrappers floating in the pool, chips smashed into the ground all around the pool. They were playing with the handicapped chair as if it was a ride.. we packed up and left when they ordered pizza and several of their kids dropped pieces of food in the hot tub… it wasn’t the Hotels fault and aim dire they would have said something had they known. It’s just sad the disrespect people have for their surroundings and other people! But overall this Hotel is awesome!
We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our week long vacation. We got the room for a very fair price (especially for such a convenient location). The room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. I loved that there was a kitchenette, a small table, and a large desk in the room. The shower could be better but that was literally the only complaint we had. Will definitely come back and stay again for future trips to Disneyland!
Holy cow. This is my new favorite hotel, and that says a lot since I am from Las Vegas. They have amazing prices and great rooms. And let me tell you that AC is top knotch. Bring a sweater in the summer because it is going to get cold in the best way possible. Nice staff, helped my fiance keep a big secret she had been planning for a year. I will absolutely come back on our next Disney trip. Seriously cannot believe there is such an affordable hotel that is this nice and this close to Disney.Edit: Been back in 2022 after original post in 2018. And the service was just as it was years ago. Gotta love the included breakfast, that saved tons of money for us that we would have spent elsewhere, make sure to tip. There was a minor confusion with the check in process and their recovery of the situation made the stay better than we anticipated. Still 5 star rating from me.
This hotel is a good deal for the price. The breakfast included eggs, meat, and standard pancakes daily, with a few pre-packaged pastries and some cereal. The room was the standard size, clean and updated. The ac wasnt working when we returned to our room one day-they were quick to fix it. You must tell the front desk if you want the room cleaned. Half the rooms face the highway, but the noise isnt too bad. Overall, good value!
Perfection is a strong word. If this word can be applied to a hotel or if a hotel comes close, then this is it. Ive stayed here many nights and I can honestly say this is the best hotel Ive stayed at in years. Its is on par with any Hilton,The Drake in Chicago even The Ritz Carlton. Some of these properties are fancier but this hotel is superior, this is why. The staff is friendly they make you feel like youre at home even maintance and Housekeeping are friendly and go out if their way to make sure you are comfortable and you feel like a valued guest. The front desk is on point, the hotel is spotless and well decorated. Breakfast is excellent and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. If youre going to Disneyland they have a shuttle and the location is very central with easy grey access. This hotel gets it right. If youre looking for a hotel in this area,I highly recommend this one. A+
Their was many misunderstandings so the room was not what we expected. The cleaning was good. The lady making breakfast was the BEST part of the experience. I can not say enough how amazing she was. Please tip her when you see her. She is so fast, professional, friendly, and accurate at what she does.
This place is very well ran super clean staff was was super friendly and helpful with all our need from check in to check out big thank you to heaven romy and Jon they went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible highly suggest checking this place out
We enjoyed our stay at Ayres Anaheim. The cook was awesome and very friendly but honestly,Gabi Lanphere made our stay so very special. I ended up with Happy tears after checking out!! Ill definitely be back next time we need a place to stay. Thank You Gabi for going over and beyond to provide amazing customer service ❤
Positive: Great location for local attractions, especially if you are attending an event at the Honda Center or Angel Stadium! The employees were very polite. Negative: Although the room appeared to be clean, there was a bad smell. The carpeting in the hallway was very worn and stained.
Very nice , clean, friendly, easygoing, neat place to stay and enjoying free breakfast. The staffs are excellent and friendly service. Ayres Hotel Anaheim is now being noted down into our family “star Place to go”. We will definitely come back more often. Good job AyresHotel 👍👍👍
Nice quiet place. We came to Southern California for Sun and the beach.. This Hotel is close enough for all that.Right down the way from Newport Beach and not to far from the California family we have..Staff was superb. VERY friendly. Breakfast was very good too and coffee is piping hot!If this hotel has room on our next visit, we will definitely stay again!!
-Room wasn’t very clean, found a dead spider in the bathroom sink too-Front desk wouldn’t waive the early check in fee although we didn’t check in early ($30; also was not disclosed during the initial reservation phone call)-Pay for parking is 10 dollars in a super cramped lot, even when booking a room at this overpriced place? When we called for reservation, they said check in was 5pm. When we arrived, it was almost 430pm and the front desk sales coordinator mentioned that check in was an hour and a half ago, making check in 3pm. The guy still wouldn’t waive the 30 dollar fee. Will never stay at this aged old dump again.
We had originally booked our room for a concert at the Honda center which is across the street but due to the pandemic, we had to reschedule dates 2 times and eventually our concert was cancelled So we decided to keep our room for a mini family vacation. We had no issues rescheduling our rooms those times and the staff was super friendly especially the last time when we mentioned we were adding a third guest to our stay. When we showed up, front desk was friendly and professional with all the details and questions we had. The room was clean and simple. The bed was super comfy! I must add though, I don’t know if all the rooms are set up the same way but our room had the ac unit next to the bed, making it cold to sleep in when it was on and uncomfortably warm to be under the covers. I’m sure if the little couch we had was moved there instead of the bed, it would’ve been better but overall we were ok for 2 nights that we stayed. Breakfast was delicious, the ladies working there were really nice as well. We enjoyed our stay here and we hope to be able to return whenever we’re in the area again.
First time stay, 3 night stay, enjoyed my stay and would return.Pros:50 inch TVPool and jacuzziExercise equipmentBreakfastPlenty of room to walk around in roomLOVE that there is a table for two to eat on and no Im not taking about the desk and chair or the sofa and coffee table. Great for those like us who like to go eat and bring back food to the room or even bring your breakfast up to the room.Cons:There is only one person at the check-in so kinda of annoying when you have to wait just to get some more towels behind a line of people who are checking in 😕Only one person serving breakfast so the line gets long fastThe shower head has poor pressure 😑Bring your own salt and pepper!!!I love eggs and hash browns but theirs was SO bland 🙁 the salt and pepper packets they give you inside the package with spoon and fork did not suffice and I used mine and my bfs packet. You have to stand in line for coffee and condiments 😑Really annoying that I have to stand in line for an extra paper plate or coffee creamersOne of the workers was rude to my bf when he asked for more creamers however the situation was addressed to the manager.Housekeeping is by request so you might want to plan on what days youll be needing to stock up on toilet paper and towels, however the front desk does offer toilet paper and towels.People dont know to read the sign in which it is only ONE party per elevator!!! So my advice dont be afraid to tell people they have to wait their turn to get on and point to the sign 🤷♀️*I chose to be on the highest floor possible because we all know how annoying it is when you have kids stomping and running in their room or in the hallway.Other than this highly recommend
Great staff, Nice rooms! Everything about the place just felt like an upscale nicer hotel. starting from the parking lot (you have to pull a ticket for the arm to raise up & allow entry to park), then the lobby has a quaint sitting area & even an area to buy drinks, magazines a few souvenirs avail. 24 hrs., the elevators arent rickety & stinky like most hotels/motels are, cute little gym available if you want to workout & the pool & jacuzzi were open too. Theres even lift chairs to enter the pool & jacuzzi if youre disabled. In the room there was a bar area with sink, mini-fridge, microwave & coffee maker, table with 2 chairs, HUGE flat screen on top of a dresser, separate desk work area, lighting on each side of the headboards if you read at night ; super comfy beds & bedding- down comforter or pillows (saw a feather on the bed in the morning otherwise I wouldnt have known ); nice size shower too- careful the tile floors are slick as hell! I did the splits stepping out of the shower when my foot only caught half the towel. Not fun! Other than that, it was great stay! Highly recommend this place & I will be staying there in the future!
It was great until i got charged for parking after the fact with no mention of it at check in check out etc. I was charged a $100.00 deposit and since i was never told about parking costing $ and charged nothing to the room. I expected $100 back. I called and was told I should have known If nothing is said at check in or check out how am i supposed to know??? Guess i didnt read the fine print. I believe it is the hotels responsibility to fully explain ALL charges at check in. Be honest and up front
Our stay was pleasant from the moment we entered the doors. Customer service at check in was great. The atmosphere was outstanding. The hotel was clean and the room was very nice. We enjoyed the gym and spa. The only thing I would like to see different is more choices at breakfast.
Staying at this particular Ayres in Anaheim was the perfect experience. From Leslie helping me with carry in my items to Bos excellent customer service. I had to stay at this hotel for a week and it was perfect for long term and short term. Its clean, organized, and has a great free breakfast. The manager Amanda took care of all my needs and followed up with me for any feedback. Amanda was Amazing to me and all guests. Thank you
Omg let me tell you the Manager was so helpful including hotel staff help me park my uhal and the main Manager was so non judge mental. This place was very nice to stay and the price was well spent. We dont like getto hotels but this hotel is far from it safe nice no drugs and close to ihop and McDonalds yummie.. thanks for a good nite rest we can wait to book another nite next year with the hotel. P.s I was not paid for this statement nor compusated for this review.
This is a very nice hotel. Its very comfortable and convenient to the local attractions. They offer a very delicious free breakfast every morning. Theres also a free afternoon happy hour one or two days a week in the lobby. They have a pool but its small with not a lot of shade mid afternoon. Overall though this ones a winner!
Everything and everyone was excellent. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was real good, actually better than expected. The location was perfect for us. The one thing that can be improved upon is the check in, we were told a few times that our room would be available earlier then it really was, but that didn’t stop us from having an amazing stay. We don’t know how your hotel van service works though, could you email me how to utilize this for future stays? We will be back! Thanks!
The customer service at this location is exceptional! The front desk employees that I interacted with were very friendly, welcoming, and professional. The room was also very nice and roomy. It had the bed on one side a room divider and a sofa sink fridge and microwave on the other. The breakfast was also an added bonus it wasn’t just bagels and pastries it was an actual full tasty breakfast with eggs bacon and pancakes. They also had other pasties and cereal. The chef serving the food was very friendly and had great customer service. Good location right next to Honda center and a short drive or shuttle ride to Disney. Great great value for the price paid! Overall would definitely stay again for all reasons listed above but mostly because of the exception service!
Very friendly staff, clean accommodations, the air conditioner was one of the best Ive had at a hotel. The communication was great with regard to reservation confirmation and special accommodations being honored. Very happy with our stay and would definitely come again and recommend to friends. The only bummer was that breakfast ended at 10, we woke up at 9:45 so we didnt get to enjoy our complimentary breakfast; wish it would go to 11. Checkout was at 12 which is super convenient for a nice stay.
Jason Amanda & the rest of the staff were Outstanding ! Compassionate. Help us with all of our needs. Made us feel important & our stay pleasant. I requested extra towels because we had to extend a day, and they went above and beyond by cleaning the room too. This Will Be Our Go To when we travel !!!
Management and Staffing courtesy is impeccable in all areas beyond customer service. VERY CLEAN ROOMS in which are greatly kept in a homely appropriation. I would recommend this place if you are $$$$ cost saver, otherwise way too pricey for a $$$ type of establishment. I travel more than I reside in my personal home.
The staff was very nice, although the front desk staff mostly joked around. One night during my stay, the lobby tables were covered with beer bottles from other guests that didnt clean up after themselves. I was surprised though that the front desk staff hadnt noticed it. After sitting there awhile, it was eventually cleaned up.Another time, I found a cell phone in the lobby and when I took it to the front desk, the woman seemed confused. I had to explain again that I wanted her to hold on to the phone in case anyone came to claim it.Apart from the front desk staff, I had a good visit. The chef was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. He made a wonderful breakfast each morning, as well. The rooms were tidy and the hotel was only 10 minutes away from the hospital and shopping areas.
I stayed here a few months ago. Ill start with the negative, the only bad thing about this place was the help online. I used the pop up chat box on the website and all the information from that person was wrong. Upon arrival I was told I booked for the wrong dates, the person behind the desk was very nice and accommodating and even cracked some jokes to try and calm me down. I am a person with high standards, and they were met here. I am allergic to the down blankets and they gave us some that were allergen free (even though we checked in at 2am). I have many allergies, mainly to breakfast foods, and the free breakfast here had more options for me than I think I have ever seen. Every time I interacted with an employee, they were polite and they smiled. The rooms were quiet, air conditioning worked very well, the room was clean. There was also enough towels for our party which was really great. We also used the very inexpensive shuttle to get to Disneyland every day, it never took longer than 20 min. This place was highly recommended to me, and I would highly recommend it to everyone.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had tons of questions because we are dealing with this covid 19 stuff. But they we extremely helpful answering them. The breakfast was great they had togo boxes to take back to the room. Best part of are stay was the jacuzzi. We will definitely be returning back to this hotel.
This hotel is great for convenience to the Honda Center. It is right across the street. The check in staff was very friendly. Rooms are decent. They are clean with a fridge, microwave and everything you would expect. Keep in mind that there is a $10 charge for parking overnight. We had breakfast included everyday and it was hearty -- not a continental breakfast.
First the staff is AMAZING. We were greeted by the friendliest front desk staff around. He was very helpful in giving us tips about the area and property. The rooms are great. Very clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and made for a restful night after a very busy day. The art transit stops at the hotel and basically will take you where ever you need to go. There is a complimentary breakfast and happy hour during the week. Top notch service. Great stay!
Best staff ever from the front to the chef to housekeeping! So polite, professional, and will go the extra mile for you. Clean rooms, safe area, services were amazing, social hour was a fun touch, breakfast was delicious. Parking was worth the price. The location was not very busy with traffic. Easy drive to Disney, Civic Center, even going to the beach, airport, and LA were a breeze. This stay was so much better than in higher priced big city chains that Im used to booking. LOVED the experience. Probably the best hotel I have ever been in (and Im not just saying that). I WILL be coming back. Thank you again, Ayres!
The room was great and hotel staff was very friendly. We checked in right at 3pm and staff checked several of us in very quickly. It was so nice to relax in the room before our concert and then just cross the street after. Our room was clean and comfy and snacks and wine from the lobby store were very reasonably priced for a hotel. The only thing in the whole experience that wasnt excellent/didnt exceed expectations was the breakfast, but it was free. So, I didnt really expect that it would knock my socks off.
Our stay was excellent! The staff was very friendly and super accommodating. Our questions were answered quickly and the room was so clean and very spacious. The breakfast was great and served at a great time. The shuttle to and from the park was very clutch as well and a highly recommend! We will for sure be staying here every time we come to Anaheim!!!
Location was good, rooms were clean and simple. Continental breakfast was decent, but Jose the breakfast chef really was amazing. He is what made my stay extra enjoyable, he was so kind, personable and sweet. He made conversation with not only myself but everyone who went in there, joking with us, talking, smiling.. he really was great. And he really stood out to me and i think he needs to be noticed for that.
Our stay was great. We had a very good experience with Ayres. The Front Desk attendant was exceptional and made my family feel very welcome. The room was comfortable, even if the televisions were on the small side, (but we do not stay in hotels to watch TV, so it wasnt that much of an issue). The breakfast was good. There was a good selection of food offered and the bacon was cooked perfectly (which is a very important thing!) and the pancakes were light. We enjoyed our experience at this hotel and location and would be happy to stay here again.
I worked as a makeup artist for a braided at this venue and was pleasantly surprised. Staff was very nice and incredibly helpful. Parking was validated. The property is easy to navigate. All in all I was happy with my experience. The rooms had ample toiletries. The room had plenty of natural light. Thumbs up.
We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. We rented the 2 room suite (at a very reasonable rate), giving us plenty of room to spread out and each have our own space. The breakfast was very good and fresh each morning. Having a chef actually prepare the breakfast fresh for us added a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.
Not too impressed with this Ayres hotel but I have liked others I stayed at. During Covid mask policy did not seem to be enforced at all. Front desk and security were not wearing masks. 10 people in the lobby,no masks. People in elevator no masks. Expensive parking like other hotels nearby.
A great place to stay. Excellent location for Disneyland and a good base for all LA visitor attractions. Front desk staff smiling and friendly throughout our visit and never too busy to stop and chat or answer any questions. Always greeted on our return back to the hotel which was a lovely experience. A decent complementary breakfast daily consisting of a hot buffet and pastries, fruit and cereal. Great staff in the restaurant too. Room/Suite which we had for our stay - 402 was very comfortable and we had no issues whatsoever during our 18 night stay. Serviced daily, it contained a small fridge/microwave kitchenette area at one side of the room where coffee could be made (replenished daily). King size very comfortable bed. Fully air-conditioned room. Hotel provides happy hour complementary wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks on four evenings a week which was a great opportunity to meet other guests and once again interact with the front desk team. General Manager also makes himself part of the team to talk to guests frequently, so if you had any issues you could always discuss them if needed- or just simply chat to him as we did.
Checking into the hotel was easy and quick. They have paid on site parking for $10 nightly plus taxes. The rooms are clean and they provide plenty of towels and extra pillows. There is a fridge and microwave in the room. They offer free hot breakfast in the mornings. There is a shuttle to Disney run by Anaheim transit so its an additional $5.50 for adults for unlimited travel for the day. Monday to Thursday they offer a complimentary happy hour for guests. The staff is friendly, kind and courteous. Overall, this was a great place to stay.
This place is very nice and the hostess was extremely sweet and helpful. However the smell when we went down the hallway journalist bearable. Youre on the second floor and theres just no way to describe the smell. It was horrible. But when we got in our room it was totally fine. It was nice and clean and the beds are very comfortable. Way more comfortable than the Disneyland Hotel! We were so disappointed there. But we would definitely stay here instead and just ride the shuttle to Disneyland. We have always had good results all of the Ayres hotels. Thank you Ayres Hotel for your kind hospitality!
Great experience. Location was perfect for attending an event at the Honda Center or going to an Angels game (walking distance). Hotel was clean, quiet, beds and pillows were comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. I recommend the pancakes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
This was such a great hotel. The service was amazing, all of the staff were helpful and courteous. Justin at the front desk was more than helpful with anything we needed! Beds were extremely comfortable and rooms were very clean. Very close to Disneyland and right across from The Honda Center!
I just got done with a 5 night stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, and the staff was courteous. The bathrooms are big. The AC is cold. No bed bugs. Heard no complaints of bed bugs from other guests in the communal breakfast area. The wifi is very, painfully slow. My cell phone as a hot spot was faster. The breakfast was tasty. The coffee was not so good.Loved my stay, and we will stay again if we are in the area.
Nice overall stay. I have stayed a few other Ayres hotels and this one was not set up and decorated quite as impressively as the others. The breakfast room and lobby was more plain in comparison. The others had a definite, distinct charm about them, as did the rooms. But overall the staff was helpful and everything was clean. The breakfast could use a waffle maker like they have at the Residence Inns. I know it is not always possible, at others I had been to had made-to-order omelets. The provided items were tasty with a good selection.. I think the main difference, however, was the very plain decor, when it is advertised as an Old World charm, which they are noted for. The city shuttle to Disneyland worked out fairly well for us at a reasonable charge, as long as you arent too time constrained....location not too far from there.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was a great location for both Disney and the Angels game. The staff was very nice and have perfect service. The room was large, clean and in good condition. The bed was comfortable. The pre-check in text message to ask about our needs was excellent! The price was good for the room and breakfast was excellent. Overall we had a great experience! Thank you!
From arrival to departure, the staff here were great. Free refreshments upon check in. Too cool, ice cold beer after a long days drive. Wow, thats how awesome the breakfast was. The outdoor pool was great. I would have given 5 stars, but they charged $10 per day for parking.
We have stayed at your hotel before and had great service so we booked a room again at your hotel. It was just as great again. Our number one concern is always cleanliness and it was immaculate. My only wish is that maybe there were more choices for breakfast. I realize it is free but felt it could have still had more choices available. We will definitely stay at the hotel again if we are ever in the area.
The hotel was very clean. I was contacted via text by the hotel in advance of check-in to request any special needs such as floor preference, early check in or late check out. I was only disappointed to find that the two queen room described as a suite was a regular room with additional sink, microwave and refrigerator. I was expecting a couch or other seating besides just a desk chair and beds. Beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is very nice, fresh and served to order. We had a light burn out in the bathroom of our room and maintenance was prompt to repair the issue. I would definitely return to this hotel.
Amazing hotel and staff! My son stayed here as part of a group trip to Disney land. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was great! My son left an expensive item in the room and with a simple phone call to Leslie at the front desk we have the item being shipped back to us the same day. She is great! Based on her courtesy and professionalism alone, I would recommend this hotel very highly to anyone staying in Anaheim. Thanks!
We only stayed for one night but we had a great experience as expected from Ayres. Receptionists were friendly, and the room was spacious and clean. I would give 5 stars, however, our breakfast was less than pleasant as the room was small and we had nowhere to sit at the empty tables since they were uncleaned by the staff. There was only one person running the hot breakfast buffet, and she was quite busy. Maybe it was an off day where somebody called out or something. Weve stayed at another Ayres hotels, and they usually have more than 2 people during breakfast crowd.
We stayed for 4 nights and had an absolutely wonderful stay! The rooms were spacious, clean, quiet. The breakfast was delicious. My kids enjoyed the Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes each morning. It was great to relax in the jacuzzi outside after a long day at the theme park. Staff is polite and even waived off the parking fee due to a glitch on their side. A minor feedback would be for this property to upgrade their brand of shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Id definitely recommend this hotel to most and go back again soon!
We were on a road trip this Labor Day weekend and decided to stay in town over night. so , we booked reservation thru priceline the night before at Ayres in Anaheim. We arrived about an hour early and asked the front desk if we could possibly check in earlier. The clerk asked for our name and looked us up on the computer. Then he said no. A couple also with a reservation walked in moments later and they were able to accommodate them with early check in no problem. I feel we were judged due to our appearance. It was 104 deg. Outside and very tired. The kids behind the counter are a big joke. Not much work is being done. Just play. I made a mistake booking here in this play ground
We stayed at this hotel for two days for Disneyland. Overall, it was an excellent hotel. The staff were knowledgable and helpful. Our room was ready when we arrived at 8am! The breakfast was substantial and delicious. The rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable.Toiletries could use some improving. There was shampoo but no conditioner and the shampoo was harsh and irritated my scalp. Also, the breakfast room gets packed right before the end of the service period so try and get down early.Overall, a great hotel experience and I would stay again.
Booked a room to spend the night with my husband after we attended a concert at Honda Center. Experience was good, clean room great service, cozy and cute rooms. Beds were comfortable and the room was well equipped with necessary appliances. Customer service was great we were greeted with a warm smile and given instructions and directions. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family or book it again if attending another event nearby. In the morning we had free breakfast downstairs in the dining area. the service there was good too. I would had enjoyed a bit more variety of food but above all it was delicious. Loved the coffee.
Great experience at the Ayers Hotel, Anaheim. It’s an old building, but kept immaculately clean. The staff make it feel like home and the included breakfast has most everything a restaurant would. I felt very secure staying there with the gated parking lot and only main entrance through the lobby. I will definitely be staying there again.
The room was comfortable and the bed was VERY comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and the serving staff was very accommodating. About the only suggestion for improvement I could make is to enlarge your available Mens hygiene product selection at the front desk. Checkout was easy and parking was reasonable. I enjoyed my stay!
Always love staying here. Great rooms, awesome staff and a wine reception with light snacks on top of it all. I travel a lot for work and this is my favorite hotel bar none. The bed and pillow are as comfy as my own and my stays here are always the best of the year. Thanks for the consistent great service and high quality Ayres Anaheim!
Staff is excellent. Hotel is super clean. This is the second time weve stayed there while attending an event at the Honda Center (right across the street). Fantastic location and within walking distance for several eating establishments. The complimentary breakfast is extraordinary!! You will not be disappointed. Jim C
Stayed at this hotel back in December (so a little late to review this place) however it won’t be the last time I stay here.. one of the best hotels I’ve been to and stayed at, the rooms were a great size, the atmosphere of the entrance to the hotel was phenomenal, they had a fire place running with Christmas music playing.. extremely warm and cosy Environment. Service from the front counter was great, and the location of this hotel is good considering Disney land is about a 15 minute drive away! We also got a complimentary breakfast over the few mornings that we were there which was very tasty and nice. I really can’t fault this hotel one bit
I stayed here a week ago, first thing that caught my attention was the fairly low price on a Sunday( $77+tax & parking) but I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice place this was. Rooms were clean, comfortable & large. The king room had a separate sofa sleeper, microwave, mini fridge & a small store that has decent prices on wine. Also it is extremely close to angels stadium & the Transit station. Overall a great experience.
My husband and I visited California from Canada for the first time and stayed for 9 nights at the Ayres Hotel Anaheim. The hotel is well located, very close to the Anaheim Resort area. It was perfect for us because we wanted to stay in Anaheim but werent going to Disneyland. We were very happy with all the hotels services and facilities. Our room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the courteousness of 3 employees, Dee, Anthony and Jordan. We also really enjoyed the chef serving us a plate of fresh delicious food for breakfast. Weve been to many hotels in the past and this hotel offers exceptional service and is reasonably priced. Their breakfast buffet is by far the best weve experienced so far. We would definitely stay at the Ayres Hotel Anaheim again!
This hotel is very clean. The bed and pillows are amazing. I read many reviews both excellent and not, here is my experience: Staff is very efficient and friendly. There was no line for breakfast at 7 when we went.. there was a line around 830 but not out the door. We did not have a parking problem and got back late each night. We asked what happens if we cant find a parking place and the front desk said they track and cone off spots for guests. We really like this place. The only thing I would say is the TVs are kind of small compared to other places weve stayed. The best thing about this hotel is the ultimate cleanliness of the rooms. They even smell nice.
Clean and professionally-run hotel. With the exception of the initial set of keys not working and some difficulty (twice) with getting the room key to operate the parking lot gate, it was a very nice stay. The staff was very courteous and we enjoy the convenience of a complimentary hot breakfast.
Hotel was very nice , the breakfast tho I did not eat looked wonderful I love that it was cooked fresh and served , not a continental type. The check out girl was super sweet but the one at check in was dry and seemed annoyed. Overall I would recommend this hotel and stay again. Also at check in she rushed through all of the details as far as the room key , location of the room and breakfast details. I had to call the next morning to learn about the shuttle to Disneyland otherwise I would not of known.
Very nice hotel. We had a room on the third floor with a king size bed , a couch , coffee table, desk and a little table for 2. Bathroom was small and, as in most hotels, shower was not very good. Overall a good experience. Also, It would be nice if guests who dont have an electric car (or are not charging it if they have one) didnt park in the Tesla charging spots since there are only 4 slots available.
Reception and check in really good. Staff friendly. Room exactly as described on website. Spacious and comfortable. Breakfast included was just what you want to start the day. Chef serving the food was great. Really good guy. Star employee!Definitely recommend this hotel.
I would just like to say the employees are very nice ! They do a great job at greeting and making you feel welcome. Although when we first got to the hotel, our AC didnt work, there was hair on the bed and and urine in the toilet and an uncomfortable. We called and right away they escorted as to a new room. This room was a lot nicer and very clean! About 15 minutes in to our new room, the front desk called and checked to make sure our room was better. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because of the first room we were put in. But the staff and environment is great
I was only there for 2 nights but it was enjoyable. I didnt use a black light or anything but the room was very clean. They only have 3 carts in the hotel for customers to use so that was a bit of a hassle we just had to take multiple trips when bringing all of our stuff down. That and the elevators were really hot were my only complaints. The included morning breakfast was really good! Lots of options. I would come back and may next year as its very close to the event I came to town for in the first place.
Great choice for family vacations, especially for Honda Center events or Disneyland. Super-convenient for Honda Center, literally right across the street. A few good restaurants within walking distance. Shuttle bus every 40 minutes to Disneyland.Very clean. Well-maintained outdoor pool for the kids. 24-hour convenience shop in the lobby. Very nice hot breakfast in the cafe.It doesnt have the extravagance and luxury of a Las Vegas premium hotel, but it is definitely your #1 choice for anything at the Honda Center.
This hotel is conveniently located directly across the street from the Honda center so if youre looking for walking distance to the venue, look no further. It is a nice looking hotel however our room had a musky smell upon entering. We had to open the window to air it out. The breakfast was ok. Better than most with limited grill options. There are several other breakfast options as well.
The bed and pillows were excellent. I usually travel with my own pillow but didnt need to use it this trip. All of the staff in your hotel were friendly and professional. The breakfast was delicious, hot and contained a very good variety of selections. Looking forward to our next trip.
My wife and I decided to do it last minute stay. We live local so we decided to have a random day your hotel. Very satisfied with the cleanliness and neatness of the hotel. Definitely a place I will consider coming back to again. Three things that preventing me from giving it a five star. 1) You can hear quite a bit of outside traffic and ambience in Room 101. 2) There was charge for parking about ~$10 per car (primarily because of Angels stadium and Honda Center). 3) Minor detail on food, breakfast was good I wish the coffee and eggs were better quality. For the coffee I suggest adding some flavored creamer. Besides that my wife and I really enjoyed staying there thank you. -D.R.
Breakfast was great. Shuttle access was great. Schmids was great. Beds were great. No real views, but thats minor. They give veterans discounts, which is great. Advice would be to find out if anything is playing next door at Honda center before your stay. We had the unfortunate experience of having The Weekend play during our stay, and got serenaded by the sounds of loud concert music, car horns, revving engines, and people screaming/yelling til about midnight. Wouldnt have been a problem, but we had to be up at 6 am for Disney. Plus if we had known we wouldve requested a room on the opposite side of the property. We stayed in 431 because that was what they considered a view room... personally wouldve much rather been able to sleep.
The staff was very nice the room was clean and bed comfortable. My complaint is for the bus service you pay for it and they are not on time when picking up at the Disneyland park. I have a 3 and four year old reliability is huge. Also the breakfast to be specific the bacon was terrible it tasted like it came out of a pre cooked bacon box example Hormel. And the pancakes were not very good.
We were very impressed with Ayres hotel. I would totally recommend this hotel. Staff was on point. Very nice and professional. Our room was clean every night. We were there for 6 days and we were treated like family. Breakfast I have to brag. The cook was very polite and nice to my kids and my family he went out of his way to make them Mickey Mouse pancakes. Very clean hotel and very nice looking hotel. Thanks Ayres for a wonderful stay while we were on vacation.
Our room was clean and well-appointed with large flat screen TV . I did not use the internet so in that regard I have no comment. The included breakfast was good also. I have just one complaint. The bed was fine but the pillows were far too soft. I laid my head on one and my head sunk into it so deeply it provided little support for my head as it was wrapped around my head to the point of covering my ears. Does anyone really like that?
The Staff is very friendly and informative. Free Full breakfast was delicious. You can see the cook make the food on the spot. The room itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. Its as nice as staying at the Hyatt. The beds were very comfortable. There was no outside noise. OH, there is a 10.00 per night parking fee that you have to pay for.
I was nervous to book this hotel being that it was not close to Disneyland. However, Im glad I did! This hotel is beautiful and really clean!!!!! The free breakfast was a plus with children. My kids loved it! The Art to Disney came every 20 minutes and was very easy to use. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly!!! This hotel is so well kept and clean. We will definitely be back!
Decent hotel. Room was ok bathroom looked a little messed up though.. Staff was very friendly and nice. I chose this hotel because it was close to where I needed to go in the morning. Not a close walk to much except the restaurant across the street which was good but pricey.
We had a wonderful experience. We LOVE the online check in. We essential found it comforting to know our room was picked out and waiting since we were arriving late. I cant tell you how many times we have gotten to a hotel to find out they are out of the room type we reserved. Your full made fresh in front of you breakfast is impressive as is your evening social. The staff was very friendly. I wish the $10 a day parking fee was included in the price or if they could have offered a package add-on for parking when booking. Wonderful experience will definitely return.
We stayed at the Ayers for the Big West basketball tournament and had a wonderful time. We were very grateful to the GM, Allen, who went out of his way to drive us to the car rental agency. Great guy! Amanda, at the front desk, was also very helpful and pleasant. We plan on staying at the Ayers again next year. We will also recommend it to other Hawaii basketball fans.
Our room was in excellent condition very clean, comfy king size bed and supplied with all the basics that are needed when traveling away from home a coffee maker, mini refrigerator and microwave. A full hot breakfast is served in the morning which includes oven baked bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and made to order pancakes and a variety of continental breakfast items. This was our second stay and it only seems to get better diffently our go to hotel while visiting surrounding attractions.
Absolutely wonderful. The entire time I was there I had great attentive service. The room was clean and spacious. The complimentary full breakfast was delicious and thee orange juice was full strength. It is the best possible location for any Honda center event. It sits next to the ARTIC station so getting to any attraction in town is a snap. Will be back again and again.
Very nice amenities throughout the hotel. Very large, well designed room with very comfortable beds. A great value! Employees were very nice and helpful and efficient, only drawback was having to pay $ 11.75 for parking even though we had just come from Disneyland and were not there to attend the Ducks hockey match the next day.
I loved this hotel, there was such a cute, quaint atmosphere about it. Every staff member we met was beyond willing to help and greeted us with a smile and friendly conversation ensued. Our room was clean and I loved the feature that you had to put the room key in the slot to turn on the lights, awesome idea to save electricity! Plus I never forgot where I put my key. The only complaints I have are that the fridge in the room was broken, but we didnt need it, and the water pressure was kinda bad, and I know thats for water conservation but it just made me have to take a longer shower so its a double edged sword. The shampoo and lotion did smell lovely though. The beds we extremely comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud and they had the bed of both worlds when it came to pillows. There were firm and soft ones they were perfect. Checking in and out was a breeze and parking was easy.
Very good hotel. Staff very helpful. Best hotel I have stayed in LA. The room was a very good size and cleaned well. Received a delicious breakfast. Good location. Loved the spa and the great atmosphere of the entrance into the hotel. The bathroom could be a little more spacious and have an upgrade however.
I received numerous emails from this hotel...which was good in my opinion as it confirmed to me that they were in fact awaiting our arrival! On the morning of check in, I received a check in early email. This was also awesome as we were attending an LA Angels game that started at 1230 that afternoon! When we arrived around 11, our room was ready. Front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. You could see the baseball field from our window, although a 10 minute walk away. My husband and I found this hotel to be a great location for attending the ball game or Anaheim Ducks game, as the Honda Center was right next door. Also, we have stayed in many hotels and have been accepting of the free breakfast that comes with the stay, but this hotel had a chef standing behind the warm food (sausages, eggs different ways & fresh) who had a very cheerful personality! Oh, and the food was great too! Very impressed with this breakfast. The beds were comfy! Im not a big fan of the old painting decor, but that would be my only issue with this hotel.
We left a hotel that was close to Disneyland because it was terrible. The Ayres was near the Honda Center and Angels stadium. This hotel is great. Updated decor and very well maintained. The staff there was awesome and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. If you like sleeping in, the room can be completely blacked out. They offer a complimentary full breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, french toast, pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruit, bacon, sausage, coffee, drinks and so much more. If you have to go to Disney, they offer shuttle service. We will stay there again because of how great the staff was. Definitely 5 stars.
I was at Ayers Anaheim for a business training week and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The shuttle staff was very accommodating to the early hours to get me there on time. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. Everyone I interacted with from the hotel was extremely courteous, helpful, and friendly. And breakfast every morning was delicious and served with a smile.
I was not a fan of your pillows or the bed in fact but the hotel is nice and the staff were great. WiFi kept kicking us out, we had to join it again and again and again, it did this many times. I was happy with he hotel outside of that, it was a good place to stay. Off the beaten path, literally across the street from the hockey arena and next door to a restaurant. Bus shuttle to and from Disney.
This hotel has so much to offer! The rooms were spotless! The pool was warm and sparkling. The foyer area was a cozy and inviting place to sit and have a chat with our friends. The only area that could use some improvement was the eating area they serve breakfast in, the food was fine, but the seating filled up quickly and is kind of a tight fit. But it was totally fine. The Ayres is walking distance to the ARTIC for the friends who travel by train and it’s a cheap ride to go from the Artic to The Disney Parks. The staff were the best part about staying st the Ayres. They were very accommodating and made some great recommendations of where to eat, what to do while in Anaheim and what areas to be cautious of.The Ayres is my new personal gold standard of what a hotel should be, so take note everyone else.
I loved working with Lesley to reserve rooms for my wedding day. She was so accommodating and fair and made my experience working with The Ayres Hotel a very pleasant one. The grounds were exceptionally clean and quiet even though it is located near a freeway. The food in the morning was excellent and the staff was always courteous and warm. I wholly enjoyed doing business with this hotel.
I loved the fact I was able to turn off the A/C and open the window. I much prefer outside air and traffic noise to sleep. Would have really liked a slightly higher quality of bed linens; those provided were just a bit too thin. Loved the decor of the hotel and halls. Breakfast was very nice for the price of the room. Parking was deceiving; I understand the need for deterrence given location, but it was not clear how much parking really cost for quests. Overall very good stay - wish I was there longer.
The staff were amazing! Amenities were nice - got to enjoy some time at the pool! Despite not having a bar they had some wine and beer sale in the shop ( not to mention close proximity to a restaurant brewery). LOVED that it was walking distance to the stadium! Very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!
The hotel staffs are extremely helpful especially when we asked for the Disney shuttle bus information. The housekeeping is also wonderful as we saw the room was nice and cleaned. We will definitely recommend our friends to come over in the near future. Well worth every dollar we spent here. The only draw back I have is the missing AC at the elevator. No big deal.
From the moment we entered the lobby, we felt welcomed. The desk personnel (Jason?) , the warm fire and nice seating in the lobby and quick checkin was a nice experience. Our room was clean, the bed was just right- just like ours at home. Breakfasts gave us what we needed to start our days in Anaheim.
I can say i enjoy being at this place. This is where me and my wife spent our night after our wedding. they have a great Continental breakfast! loaded with eggs, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, sausage, and bacon plus lots of other good treats not just a small tiny breakfast they hook it up for you. rooms are very clean and organized and upkeep. TV with blue-tooth sound system for use. great all around. will get pictures up as soon as i can
Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast buffet was delicious, staff was friendly and attentive, parking was never a problem, neighborhood was safe, pool and hot tub were available, and check in was quick. The only drawbacks were hotel van driver was unavailable one day we needed a ride and power was out from 10am-4pm one day during our stay. We also had to pay $10 a day for parking.
This was my second time at this hotel and it was just as good as the first time. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which went beyond my expectations for service and quality. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this to anyone for personal or business travel.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay in the Ayres. The hotel itself was up to expectations, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was great. The only negative would be the breakfast buffet. I know that its included in the room rate but it tarnishes the overall high standards of the rest. Finally, regarding the gym, although I realise that the space is quite small, I do feel that reviewing the equipment on offer could enhance the experience, as I found it a bit lacking.
Nice hotel. The whole parking process should be re-evaluated. No parking for checking in?? No mention of the $10 parking charge at check-in. Did not get notified until checking out??Workout room and pool to small.Ceiling must be paper thin. I heard every foot step from the person above. The front desk should have room to negotiate the room rate. I called late in the afternoon for 1 night reservation. Called the hotel direct and was quoted a high price. I asked for better pricing but was told that is the best that could be done. Went on line to look at other hotels and got a better rate on line. I would think that later in the day the hotel staff should be able to reduce rates based on vacancy as opposed to having empty rooms.
Convenient to Disneyland and the college that my daughter was moving in to. Loved the complimentary breakfast. Clean, nice sized rooms. The Beds were a little too cushy for our taste, but comfortable. Should have asked for a room closer to elevators. Laundry room is a plus. Will come back. Warm cookies too is the afternoon! Happy Hour also!
Very clean hotel. It’s a great place to stay in Anaheim. The rooms always feel fresh, the service is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is awesomely satisfying. The only reason why I’m giving it 4 stars because they gave me a room for handicap while staying there 4 nights last time. There are plenty of parkings so you won’t have any problems to park at all. There is a $10 fee a day though.
We had a great time. The hotel was comfortable if a little small for 4 people in a room. Desk customer service was amazing. They were always kind, friendly and helpful. A couple of small hitches to the stay. The house cleaning was not great. They did little more than empty the trash and make the bed. Maybe that is all they normally do but it didnt seem enough to me. There were silver ware left in our room from dinner we had in the room the night before. Also the hall we were in on the fourth floor was painted that week. No big deal. The men doing the work were kind and unobtrusive. Also have to mark down a bit for the 2 buses of highschool baseball players. We booked the hotel for the laundry rooms since we had two small children. We needed to wash some clothes on the 3rd night but because of the teams in question we could not. Breakfast was also hard to get in the morning because of them. All in all it was a good stay. Just not as good as I expected.
Clean hotel, friendly staff. Location was convenient to Angels and Honda Center with Disney a 20 minute shuttle ride. Noise OK so long as you can get a room away from the highway. Social hour was a nice plus. Negatives were a pool that has limited seating and umbrellas, very limited workout area, elevator that takes forever to go 3 floors. Also we arrived on a 100 degree day and the A/C wont start until your room key is in the slot for 10 minutes which was inconvenient.
My family and I are a Hilton family. We have used Hilton for many years. I enjoyed our short stay at this location. I would like to suggest maybe adding a small bar area for the evening time. One thing that we enjoy at the Hilton is their social/happy hour. Their bar area and restaurant is an added benefit when you have had a long day and dont really want to go out for something to eat. I think your hotel would benefit from something like this. Overall the stay was nice and the staff there are very polite. Rooms are clean. I would stay there again.
Friendly staff. Breakfast was reasonably tasty/lots of choices. Room was nice. Great for kids. Warm cookies in the lobby were a nice surprise. Clean rooms. The nearby sports bar restaurant was delicious and great for the kids too. I dont know why youd stay at a Disney hotel when you could stay at a place like this.
We stayed for 1 night. Room was very clean, front desk at check in and out was great. They had a social hour which had free beer and snacks. In the morning we had a complimentary breakfast. They had egg, bacon, hashbrowns, pancakes, cereal, fruit, danishes, oatmeal and coffee and tea. It was great. They also have a nice pool with a jacuzzi. (Did not use)
The stay was great! We brought our daughter to vidcon and the breakfast was great and gave her energy for most of her day!The Jose the breakfast cook was wonderful and personable! The front desk staff was VERY helpful as well.We had clothes in the dryer and we had to go somewhere, and the person at the desk offered to pick up the laundry personally and deliver it to our room.It took a load off our minds as we headed out to our day. Thanks so much, not just for the high quality stay, but for the high quality staff. We will stay here the next time we return to the Anaheim area!
We loved almost everything about our first stay at this Ayres. Weve stayed at the ALO and Orange Ayres many times, but this one is so much nicer. The room was perfect and amazingly clean! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was ample parking for the guests. We had dinner in the Spoons restaurant and everything there was just great. Unfortunately, when we went to the breakfast buffet this morning it was dismal. We have had breakfast at the ALO and Orange Ayres and they were both very good. Im not sure what happened this morning. We arrived for breakfast at 8:15, right in the middle of their serving time. The pancakes and fruit were good, but thats where the positive side of the prepared food ends. The scrambled eggs were very hard and dry. There was only one piece of bacon in the bin. The breakfast potatoes were down to the last half cup and cold. No one ever came out to see if more was needed for either item the whole time we were there. The pastries were stale and also hard. My wife tried to cut then with a knife and couldnt get through them! The silverware was also filthy. We dug through more than a dozen butter knives before we found one that wasnt encrusted with dried on food. The forks were the same way.Its unfortunate that this put a damper on what was otherwise an excellent first experience. We will be back in the same area in a few weeks and may give it another try in case this was just a bad hair day for their breakfast staff. If the breakfast was on par with their other two facilities in the area I would have rated it *****.
This hotel is excellent. The rooms were very nice. Loved boe our room had a small little table where you can eat and a desk area where you could work at. I also love that there was a couch. The hotel is beautiful and thank you for the complimentary breakfast. Everything was delicious. A pretty good distance away from disney.
We were very happy with our stay at Ayers in Anaheim. The room was clean and roomy and the bed was very comfortable. Water pressure was excellent in the shower. Very well located to the Arena and Stadium - walking distance to both. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly. Did find the air conditioner unit in the room rather loud and could only adjust by turning the fan off entirely. When the room got stuffy again, we turned the fan back on. That was a minor issue and we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
The only reason I am giving a 4 star is because of the cook at our complimentary breakfast. We were there for 3 days and everything and everyone was exceptional!!! But at breakfast time we were given grumpy answers and talk and mean looks. We love Ayres hotel! We stay there once every year and everything is always amazing. Its very clean, security always on the lookout, convenient location, swimming pool, room is with kitchen, the mades do a fantastic job, price is very reasonable! Always happy to stay there!
Everything was great, except that the dining area was a bit too small. We could not find any table to sit at, and the food should be more like a buffet, rather than having to wait for the chef to serve everyone. The line was getting quite long. Our fridge was not cold enough to keep our food fresh.Other than that, it was a nice experience!
Great hotel! Rooms are extremely clean, easy access to elevators, friendly staff, breakfast was great too I was there for 5 days and I have no problems at all definitely recommend for business travel, family.. the only thing its the parking lot it can get pack pretty quick.. they offer free shuttle to some places
When I arrived to the Ayers, we were greeted by Andrew Day. He welcomed us with a smiling face and did everything he could to make sure we were happy. I am a member a gold level reward member of another service but because of that I was given a welcome bag with water and some yummy snacks.I have stayed in this hotel before because of the location. I went to a concert at the Honda center. It is so amazing to walk across the street to eat and then just stroll across the street to the Honda Center. No traffic, no parking issues and when the show is over, its just a short walk back. The hotel is very clean, has comfortable beds, room had nice furniture and a big screen tv. What else do you need?Andrew, than you for your smiling face and Ayers Hotel, keep doing a great job at what you do. I love staying at a Ayers, because I always know what Im going to get.
Lets start off by saying our room had roaches, not one, but two were killed in the first hour we were there. I went to the front desk and they immediately moved us to another room, I was very thankful; however our new room didnt have hot water at the bathroom sink. At this point I chalked it up to the fact I was now staying in a extremely over priced hotel. When someone pays $259.00 for a room, it should be clean and free of bugs, at at the very least the hot water should work at all faucets.Do yourself a favor and research other options in the area.
The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was perfect with the bathroom and living area separated out. Very clean and had everything we needed. The invitation texts prior to arrival were awesome as well and made it very smooth. My only comment would be that with such an environment conscious motto, you may want to consider getting rid of the disposable coffee trays, that seems to create more trash than necessary. Just a thought. THis place was hands down a 10 for convenience of location, staff and accommodations!!
Ive stayed here multiple times on business and I can recommend it. A clean, no-nonsense, comfortable hotel with few frills but Ive never had a problem with accommodations or service. Its located right down the street from the train station as well as the Honda Center and Angel Stadium, yet is not usually overrun with tourists. Good breakfast.
Lovely hotel. The staff was very helpful, especially since one of our party is disabled. We had no trouble finding an accessible room, and everyone treated ua nicely. Its a bit too far to walk to Disneyland, but its walking distance to Angels Stadium, if youre into baseball.
The initial room was not as originally describe. The front desk personal were helpful in accommodating my families needs. I give the Hotel an overall score of 3 for friendly service, clean rooms, excellent breakfast. Yet, I had several issues during my stay that could have been prevented and fixed while I was there.
Good surprise. Honestly I was not expecting a so good value for the price we paid.Staff was effecient and welcoming.Rooms are very nice and beds comfortable.Breakfast was very good, may be just need to add some more choice available. When I will come back to Anaheim, I probably will book again at Ayres Hotel
The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful when asked for recommendations of restaurants and other local attractions. My room was kept extremely clean. The bed was amazing!!! To be honest, sleeping at the Ayres Hotel was the best sleep while in a hotel I have ever had. I cant believe how spoiled I was with the amazing breakfast every morning. There was fresh eggs, bacon or sausage (depending on the day), hash browns or breakfast potatoes (depending on the day), pancakes, fruit, bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, pastries, coffee, hot cocoa, milk or 2% milk, tea, orange juice and all of it was just delicious. The chefs were so kind and even made Mickey pancakes for the kids. After a few days, they knew what you wanted and as soon as you walked into the breakfast room they would get started on your plate. It was truly a great experience and although I was away from my home for 7 days, I still felt a little at home at the Ayres Hotel.
I stay at the Ayres hotels often for work purposes in southern California. I just stayed here with my family for a quick get away and received the same great service as I am accustomed to.We were assigned a room with a strong medical ointment smell, likely from the last guest, and was helped by Jason at the front desk who promptly assigned us another room. We have small children and Jason was glad to help again with putting our ice packs in the hotel freezer. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We like the wet bar by the small refrigerator and microwave. It really helps when cleaning sippy cups and the kids bowls. We stayed two nights. The first morning breakfast was just okay, something was off. The eggs and hash browns maybe were sitting for a bit, not sure. The next day was fine. There were a lot more people dining so maybe the high turnaround of food helps keep things fresh.Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Ayres to anyone staying in southern California.
We came from Kansas to California for my daughters wedding and had a fairly good sized group of 31 people staying at the hotel coming at different times, leaving at different times and as things go, we changed things at the last minute. The Hotel staff was always very accommodating and professional. The rooms were very nice, love the smart room feature with the key card and the location worked very well relative to the church, the reception and activities.
Hotel is very clean and specious the staff is amazing. You get full on breakfast with a chef . That chef is the nicest of the nicest. We watched him interact with every guest and he caters to each and every one of them. Made bfast fun. He would bring a smile to every guest he spoke Too!
Your staff were phenomenal. They went overboard in making our stay comfortable and tried to help us in any way. That went a LONG way with a very STRESSFUL week of gymnastic competition. I really cant say enough great things about them. Your cook was extremely nice and FAST! However, I do wish that you had a little broader selection for breakfast. Having scrambled eggs everyday got a little old.
Aside from a few glitches with a hot/cold shower and an ART bus that never arrived, I found the hotel delightful. The front-desk folks were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is a much as I could possible ask for, making the morning that much easier than trying to find a place to eat that didnt cost a small fortune. The rooms are large and airy and, honestly, I had the best nights sleep even though I was right across the street from a brewery.
Our stay at Ayres was underwhelming. From our checkin, it was uncomfortable. We chose Aryes because my husband had stayed her in the past and enjoyed it much more. When we checked in on monday the 24th at night the front desk clerk was rude and short tempered with my husband, his words when we walked in were oh I guess youre here to check in the rest of the conversation was just as rude and sarcastic. When we got to our room the air conditioning unit didnt seem to function correctly, going from full blast heat to full blast AC. I felt like a middle aged women experiencing hot flashes. We solved this issue by turning it off and opening the window instead. When we opened the window there was no screen and it opened wide enough for a child to fall out of. Being so close to Dinseyland I would assume there are plenty of small children staying at this hotel. It IS a safety issues. My kids are old enough to know not to fall through a window but I am concerned for other children. The sink in the kitchenette didnt produce hot water and the bathtub faucet was broken. Eventually my two teens decided to go to the pool where they found out that there were too many bugs floating around. My daughter said that she had to leave due to the bugs crawling on her legs when she stepped in, this was after my son tried to skim the pool for them.My husband did point out that we didnt call to complain about anything so we arent sure how they would have responded, but Im not one who wants to go to a hotel and have to find the issues for them, these things should be looked at and kept up on a regular basis. Simple maintenance. The only saving grace were the ladies at the front desk. Every front desk clerk (aside from the guy on the first night) were super nice and accommodating. They made me smile every time I walked through the lobby and helped with any questions.
My 2 sons and I stayed at the Aryes Hotel in Anaheim while we attended a nearby event. When we arrived we were greeted by the nice and helpful front desk staff and was informed we had been upgraded to a king - two bedroom suite...nice! The room was clean and had a fresh scent (like most of the hotel) and was nicely appointed with up-to-date furnishings. The beds are heavenly...like sleeping on a cloud. We all had the best nights sleep, and wished we could have taken the bed and pillows home with us! The free breakfast in the morning was the prefect way to start the day with a chef preparing FRESH pancakes. The boys sure loved that one! We were able to receive a 1 hour extension on our check-out and the morning staff was just as pleasant as the night staff! Overall our stay was 5 STARS...all the way. We will be back! Thank you AYRES Hotel for a great stay!
Amazing, amazing! I was extremely pleased with how clean the rooms and lobby were. I loved the ambiance and decor. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable compared to other pricey hotels. By far beats Radisson, and The Marriott. Staff was excellent. I liked that you disnt see much staff walking around in the evening. It gave a sense of privacy and freedom to walk around the hotel undisturbed. My 2 yr old loved the pool. the inside bath tub was nice and big. I loved that the room had a coffee maker, a mini fridge, a microwave! Very important when you have young ones. I recently stayed at the Wynn in Vegas and they did not have fridge or coffee maker in their rooms. You could request one but youd be charged a fee for each. The complimentary breakfast the next day was delicious. Buffet style, served til 10am! Wonderful! I cannot say enough about my stay!!! Cant WAIT to go back !!!!!
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was quiet, even though it has a window on Katella. The bed was super comfy and clean. The continental breakfast had something for everyone (fruit, cereal, pastries, bagels) and made to order pancakes or eggs, bacon, and hash browns. And to top it off, check out isnt till Noon!

2022-04-28We stayed at this hotel for four nights, it was a pleasant stay in a convenient location. The hotel is a bit dated, but kept well, and the staff are kind and accommodating.Pros:- (mostly) clean room- spacious- convenient area- friendly, masked staff- decent amenities- included continental breakfastCons:- parking is $10/day on top of the price of the room- room cleanliness: the headboard had weird sticky spots like someone had splashed tea or soda, the curtains had a substantial what looked to be a blood stain they attempted to wash, judging by the color, the carpet had a few odd stains- odd flickering horror movie lights every time we turn them on- “hotel room smell” you know the one

2022-01-27I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! It is my go to location when we go to Disneyland!! Impeccable staff, immaculate rooms, comfortable beds, very affordable, a generous breakfast, beautiful decor, & the list goes on! Not to mention they have gone above and beyond for both times we stayed for both of my daughters 5th birthdays!!! Both times we stayed there, they had Balloons in the room, gorgeous flowers, favorite candies & they made my girls feel like royalty!!! I highly recommend you stay here, you will not regret it!

2022-03-22We had never stayed at an Ayres Hotel before, so we were a little anxious about our accommodations for our Disneyland vacation. Well, we need not have worried because it was a great experience. The room was large and clean, the beds were comfortable, the free hot breakfast was delicious and filling, and the service, all the way from the front desk to housekeeping, was fantastic. One especially bright spot was Jose who served us breakfast most mornings. He has worked for the company for over 20 years and he was terrific. One small thing to watch out for: This hotel charges $1.00 for each phone call made from its hotel phone. Just for fun - our youngest made several phone calls to our cell phones from the hotel phone and we ended up being charged for this. Not a big deal, but a very small detractor from an otherwise perfect experience.

2022-01-14Positive: Super close to Honda Center, literally a walk across the street so great if you are attending an event there. Breakfast was included, good coffee and hot food options, noon check out was appreciated too. Parking is $10. Negative: Hot tub closed at 10pm, would have liked to use it. Hallway carpet cleaner machine running at 9:30am, wish that was done later in the day.

2022-02-09Pros: Our room was very nice, exceptionally clean and spacious, hotel lobby was beautiful and well kept, continental breakfast was great as well, staff in the breakfast area were the absolute best and so kind to us! We are traveling with 2 dogs so we were happy to see a designated potty area with a waste station for our pups. Loved how centrally located this hotel is to everything, as well as the many food options available.Cons: Disastrous misinformation! This is the reason I’m leaving only 3 stars. My husband and I travel a lot for work, which can be difficult on its own but adding in 2 pets it gets a bit trickier, I’ve learned from experience to call ahead to potential hotels and ask Q’s about pet policies, fees, and other important questions one might find relevant to their stay. Before booking I called this hotel TWICE and asked what their pet policy and fees were, I was told both times it was $30 for both dogs for the duration of the stay, not per day. When we checked in that answer changed to $30 per pet, per day which for us added an additional $180. Whatever, I was frustrated by it but blew it off because what were we going to do at that point after traveling 3 hours. I also inquired about a late check out, was told 4:30 was the latest….. today our final day here, I figured I should double check and ask again, time changed now to 3pm, due to my husbands work schedule I can’t check out at 3, so we had no other choice but to leave at standard check out time of noon. Unfortunately due to this I’ll be sitting in our car with our 2 dogs at my husbands job until 8 tonight. It would have made things a lot easier to stay till 4:30 and only sit for roughly 4 hours versus 8. If we would have had correct information I would not have booked here, I could have stayed at another hotel we were considering with a 5pm late check out and $100 pet fee and wouldn’t have to deal with the current situation and extra cost. Also 2 other small issues, we found a few ants in the bathroom area trailing up the wall and a few around the sink, 2nd concern, they don’t enforce mask wearing, employees have them on, guests don’t, there’s signage reminding people to stay masked but like most other places in SoCal, staff aren’t saying anything if you won’t.

2022-03-01Ayres hotels in general is one of my favorite place to stay. We often choose this one, particularly, because its close to Anaheim ice skating rink and Disneyland. Spacious, clean, and classical decor interior, which is nice.

2022-05-03What an amazing set of staff at this hotel. The hotel is a little older, sure, but it was incredibly clean. You can smell the cleanliness of the sheets the moment you walk into a room, and not a spot or hair in the bathrooms. The pool is great, location is great, I cant say nice enough things about this place.I was a little skeptical of some of the reviews speaking of the musty odors, as I have sensitive senses, but it really didnt bother me. There was a slight older hotel room smell, but I mostly smelt the cleaning products (in a good way). The air conditioner didnt have an odor, which I find most hotels do, the hallways didnt have an outstanding smell one way or another, and the lobby just smelt like pool and the buffet area. The rooms had some minor issues: yes, some stains on the floor, some of the lampshades and curtains were not in great shape, but the rest of the room was so well kept, it really didnt bother me. Most hotels have carpet stains of some type...its a hotel. Whether you see them or not, you dont want to know whats really there. The curtains, same. Ive stayed in Fairmonts with stained/holey curtains. What does it really matter? It was only the blackout curtains that had this issue in our room anyway, and it was a few marks which could have come from a dryer to be honest. Overall, the bed and pillows were not of my personal preference in terms of softness (they were too soft for me), but still super clean and comfortable, and high quality. The buffet was a relief. The meal is served to you with a few self-service stations, but I was really impressed with the quality for a free buffet. Usually, you dont get the greatest options and the food is less than edible, but this was not the case here. The staff were outstanding.Staff at the front desk were great. They were super helpful with reassurance of area go-tos for restaurants and the ART bus option for Disney.I heard from others that the area was not great and a little rough, but I didnt find this at all. I felt safe enough to walk to and from the hotel at night, coming from a restaurant area to the east, but I was with my husband. Dont think I would walk around alone at night, but that could be said about any city. The area was so close to Disney, walking back to the hotel one night, we stopped at the Honda center parking lot to view the fireworks. If youre on the west side of the hotel and a higher floor, you can probably get a great view of the show. In addition, if you have a car, theres everything from an In N Out to Trader Joes about 10 mins away from the hotel to the NE.The pool had a great little area and hot tub that was welcoming after a long day of walking. It has trees around it to catch some needed shade as well. Its small, but if you go during non-peak hours/days, you can grab it all to yourself and have a great time.I highly recommend this hotel, will be returning and I didnt want to leave. Anaheim is awesome and this hotel really improved my experience.
