For two years the 7 seat vehicles I have rented were not clean. There was a lot of trash in the back area: cans, bottles, food wrappers, rotten fungus-covered fruit that stained the carpet. Additionally one of the seatbelts did not work. Check the vehicle you rent for trash and the seat belts before driving away.

Picked up a car yesterday and was quite surprised that the level of customer service was equivalent to the condition of the car. First let me tell you what this car did not come with; a full tank of gas, a clean interior that didn’t have spilled drink all over the center console or a trash free interior that I didn’t have to find a store that would let me use their trash to throw away. Now what this car did come with was a rude agent at the store, a terrible customer service experience on the phone and a guarantee that I will never rent from them again. As a preferred member they barely apologized for the condition of the car and made it seem as though it wasn’t that big of deal. So, if you like driving a dirty car with other peoples trash and getting terrible customer service this is the rental car company for you!

I had a car I drove from the airport and it got a flat tire at the hotel. It was Saturday evening and this Avis was not open until Monday morning. When I arrived I was met by Jessica and she said that she could help me. She couldn’t repair the tire but she was able to get me into another vehicle that somebody had just turned in. She then went out and wash the windows and vacuumed it and sent me on my way. She is the best Avis/budget representative I’ve ever dealt with! Thanks again Jessica.

Especially in times of COVID having a good neighborhood branch with good quality cars available is a a great benefit. I appreciate the service, the short wait times and other aspects that make this much more enjoyable than the experience at an airport location.

This was the worst car rental experience I ever had. Ill never rent from Avis again.A short version of my experience is:1. Cars here are NOT maintained properly. Not even cleaned very well.2. They lied to me and attempted to fool me to switch to a smaller car than I paid for.3. They think it is customers responsibility to check the condition of the car and maintain it.4. Customer support call and road side assistance call are next to useless.Heres the full story:He first gave me a Mazda 6. ts tire pressure warning light was stuck on. and did not turn off even after I drove few blocks. When I went back to the office and told him about it, he said the car had been all checked ok yet it was not him who had checked the car.I requested another equivalent car, and he said there is no other car available. I insisted, and he tried to fool me into a smaller car - a Mazda 3 - claiming that it was the same car. After pretending to be working on a computer for a while, he pulled out another Mazda 6. It was a mystery how this one got available suddenly few minutes after he said there was no other car available.When I started this car, its tire warning light was on again. Furthermore, there were dents and scratches all over, and there was disgusting smoke smell. I went back to the office, and this time he locked up the door and did not respond to me at all. It was 5 min past 5 pm which was the closing time of the office, yet my reserved pick up time was 5 pm and he was in the office talking to me 1 minute ago.I called Avis customer support number and told them that my car had tire warning light on. They said, there was nothing they can do, and told me to call their road side assistance number. So, I called their road side assistance number, and it took 2 hours for someone to show up. Furthermore, the guy did not even bring an air pump. He told me to go to gas station and check the air pressure myself. I dont know from when it was a customer responsibility to maintain a rental car.I ended up checking the pressure myself, and the tire pressure was actually good. Thus, I had to hit the road with a concern that something else about the tire might be wrong because the warning light was on all the time. I also had to keep the windows open most of the time to air out the smoke smell. How lame this was.
