Lol..... what a joke. The staff is very nice! But what is this location? A storage shed in the corner of an empty parking lot? Oh and they dont clean the trucks.... its their policy... so sorry to next person that rents my truck. enjoy all those bugs I collected on my 3K mi drive. Hopefully theyll scrape down the windshield for you!
I highly recommend booking at this location instead of the airport if you are flying in. The rates are much better and so is the service. The staff is so friendly and my pick up was both quick and painless! They offer a shuttle that will pick you up from the airport rental car center so you dont need to worry about getting there from the airport.
Showed up at time scheduled and they had no vehicles and stated they wanted us to wait for 3-4 hours until a vehicle was dropped off. After I told them we would go somewhere else, they made some calls and drove us to another Avis and upgraded us at no charge. They made the situation right which is why I gave them 3 stars instead of 1.
Process was quick, painless and affordable. Staff was very friendly. Car was clean and in great condition. There was even a complimentary shuttle service back to the airport. Ill definitely be using them next time I visit San Diego
If I could give zero stars I would. This place has the worst service. I flew in and ended up at the airport Avis, they told me I had the wrong location, and needed to get a cab to an Avis a mile away. They wouldnt accept my reservation from their other branch. And when you reserve a car from San diego airport they defaul to this out of the way location. So I had no idea! Once we finally ubered over there it took almost an hour, with NO one else there. Then we went to return the car and they were walking out the door, said they closed at 5 and wed have to return at the airport. Then we drive to the airport where they charge us a 750 fee for returning it a t a different location. uNBELIEVABLE! Seriously almost missed my flight, and will never rent from Avis again.
If I can give them a zero I will be happy to, worst company ever, we booked a car then whenwe came from Utah to them, a cold guy said ohh we dont have a car did not even say sorry or tried to get us one he was so rude and seems that he hates his job and doesnt care he just an idiot, And he said go to the airport and they will give u one and we did and he was lying we just wasted time and uber money. And the avis car rental at the airport said ohh we are not related you guys pay $800 to rent a car like they willgive us Ferrari. They are just jerks please ignore them you will be mad if you book a car with those liers
Only a few minute Lyft/Uber ride Fein the airport, and youll save a ton of cash (avoiding airport rental fees). Really friendly staff. So glad we found this place...saved us about $300 on a rental for the week, and it was a seamless experience.
Representative was extremely efficient and friendly. We had no wait time and the vehicle selection was good. Our car was thoroughly detailed as well.
Hours did not accommodate early or late drop offs unless you wanted to leave the car on the street at your own risk. Not a good neighborhood to leave anything on the street
Will NOT email you a receipt. Unacceptable in 2015. Really? You cant email a receipt? I asked the guy to take a picture with his phone and email it to me since he didnt have email capability and he still wouldnt. What a joke.

I rented a car 6 days before picking it up, they sent me an email with a reservation number, you had to pay when picking up; I arrived and my reservation was not listed. The man who attended me was in a hurry. Nobody spoke Spanish. He rented another car and sometimes more expensive; They gave it to me very duvio and with barely more than half a tank of gasoline. A fraud.
AVIS small and unfriendly branch, required unnecessary billing for no reason and it took me six months to get a refund with the help of Avis Israel

2022-06-09Seinfeld in real life. Reserved a car and then the day of they didnt have any cars available. They cancelled our reservation without notifying us. Super unprofessional and unreliable.

2021-10-18I reserved a Dodge Ram 3 months ago and when I went to get the truck they didn’t have it. It was unbelievable. Instead they gave me a Nissan, they didn’t even give me a heads up the Dodge was unavailable. Also the truck was very dirty inside and outside.Very disappointed with it. I got the car at the San Diego airportHumberto Branco

2020-09-30Car was dirty and had ants in it, brought it back and recived a letter that i have to pay a 250 dollar cleaning fee. What a scam, the guys there suck, dont rent at this location.Go to the airport and pay a little extra for a cleaner car.

2018-08-10I dont recommend them!I thought we were saving money to use this offsite car rental. We were told there would be a shuttle waiting, but when we arrived and called they said they dont shuttle anymore due to airport regulations. He told us to take a cab - so we did $18.90 for less than 4 miles. He upgraded us to SUV which was not clean but it was a good attempt to make up for the hassle. After having to get a ride of course we picked the car up late and when we said we would be returning it late the onsite rep told us sure, it would be no problem. Of course were thinking no problem means - no problem. We ubered back ($10). But their idea of no problem was to charge us for an extra days rental. I called for 2 days and was told I would receive a call back each time - finally the 3rd day I called the rep told me to call customer service and they would take care of it for sure. They didnt take care of it but agreed to write off 1/2 of the extra day they charged us for. This company has poor communication, representation, and integrity. Add up the rides you need to pay for to get there (let alone the poor customer service) and you could get a nice vehicle at the airport (my daughter did and no hassle!).

2018-06-25Christy is amazing, patience of a saint. I was having an issue with corporate and I was on the phone asking about some changes to my card.Took great care of me. Honest establishment run by amazing people. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. It’s small and has a few great cars, not like the lot at the airport but you know you’re in good hands. ❤️❤️❤️

2017-10-23Returned a car here because it cost less than the airport and they gave me a free shuttle ride to a hotel in Downtown. They are friendly at the counter and the shuttle. Absolutely the best car rental experience Ive had...over 300 rentals in 25 years

2017-08-04I used my CC to rent a car for a friend. They have over charged over $600. This has been going on for over a month. Talked to their corp office, The manager of that site and only response I get is, it will be taken care of with in the next couple of days. I was able to get $261 back only because I filed fraud charges against them through my bank. You been warned, rent at your own risk. Fraud Fraud Fraud, still waiting on the refund as of 8/3/17. Worst rental company ever. Never rent from these thieves.
