Ive been to Arcadia Smog Center several times in the past, with my other vehicles. Ive also found the service to be very good, hence why I went back today.Today, I experienced pure fraudulent actions in my opinion.I told the employee (the only person there), that I just left the dealer (Sierra Honda Monrovia) to get the Manufacturer Recall #C6A done on my Honda Civic.He told me it would not be an issue, they would have sent the information to DMV already and wont make a difference. I asked how much it would cost to have the Smog done and he said $59 plus certificate. I told him I had a coupon for $29.75 plus the certificate. He told me it would be cash only and I agreed.He took my car and ran the test, then he told me it didnt pass (Failed Smog). He asked if I had any work done to the car? I told him YES, at the dealer (I had just told him that before he took the car). He then told me I have to drive the car 100 miles before I can have a smog test done, to reset all the on-board computers!Really, WHY DIDNT HE SAY THAT BEFORE HE DID THE TEST??Now Im out $30 for the test he did and I have to do it all over again paying full price.Ive been a resident of Arcadia since 1967. This action is just WRONG. I wonder who else he has scammed doing this?

I had a great experience. I cant remember his name because I have a horrible memory but he was such a nice person. The test was over before I knew it. I definitely recommend this place and will come back when I need this test again.
The best car shop youll ever find to take care if your car. From regular change oil to minor maintenance to major maintenance. Your car will have a longer life to serve you. Customer service is the best. And their price are awesome. My car is kept in tiptop shape and Im not scared to be stalked in a dark freeway somewhere because they take care of my car, brakes, tires and everything. I dont worry.
Couldn’t run a smog check because of a vehicle repair code, but the guy pretended he could run the smog check and scammed me out of the $30. Highly unethical. I see the same issue from other reviewers here. Stay clear of this business.
Failed, and offered re-test within a certain period of time. Due to a special -ordered part and coordinating the repair with dealer, I was 2 days late and he refused to re-test.I went somewhere else and paid again. I wont support such a business.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I paid full price here and the smog test guy broke my cars latch to pop my hood open!!! After breaking it he couldnt even open the hood. I had to pay to get the latch repaired and then after that he failed the smog check and get this! When I went to another smog test dealership the next day it passed without doing anything to the car! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMER!
Fast and cheap ($38 when using cash). There was only one guy there, so if a lotta customers show up at the same time, that could be problematic.

Good, walk-ins accepted (unlike Pep Boys in Monrovia which requires appointments), but they are very, very EXPENSIVE (unlike Pep Boys in Monrovia which charges only $38 including sending the cert to DMV).

2022-06-10Be careful of these crooks, they offer $20 coupon, but take cash only and no re-test. Took my car in without any check engine light warning and after they did the test, they said there are codes and need to be fixed. The code were for loose gas cap, they took my money and no re-test.The Worst place to take your vehicle for a smog test !

2021-07-13Fast and easy. Came from out of state and needed the smog test to be certified in California. Took 15 minutes and let me use their $20 off coupon as well, unlike the 76 Smog station off S. Myrtle who said the coupon didnt apply for out of state cars ( though no mention of that on the coupon). This Arcadia location was quick and the gentleman working today was very polite.
