Prices are cheap and for a good reason we stay there tonight walls are super thin a lot of screaming slamming to the point that the people above us were so loud and jumping around that the popcorn ceiling was falling on the ground the tenant refuses to compensate being that we’ve got no sleep whatsoever will not be coming back recommend get as far away from this hotel as you can I will post some pictures of the unsanitary hotel we receive towels that were cheap and dirty Plenty of better really anything better Then this hotel. I wish I could give less stars.
The hotel is advertised as walking distance to Disneyland. I guess this I true but it would not be a short walk, especially if you have kids. We ended up taking the bus everyday. The hotel rooms appear really nice at first glance but on closer inspection the ware is apparent. The vanity in the bathroom had large chips out of the corners. Bedding was a bit stained, but overall the room was clean. Two rooms can be joined together with the communal door, this is nice when you book two rooms. No balconies, but thats not a deal breaker.Breakfast buffet was not bad, you can get things like eggs, bacon, hashbrowns etc.Not the best hotel but good for going to Disneyland.
My mom and I came to stay here for a 4 day trip. Upon arrival the room smelt like strong mens calone, the front desk receptionist came in with a can of febreeze, which helped a lot. Next day we requested Kleenex the maid said they were out and brought us an extra toilet paper. We left to go to knotts berry farm for the day and when we got back the room was not done up only fresh towels. The front desk girl said “you have to request housekeeping.” 🧐 and will only bring you supplies won’t hand you them at the front desk. She said they were out of Kleenex but brought extra toilet paper. For a hotel that is booked full make sure your supplies are stocked and to train your housekeepers to clean the rooms not have your guests request them. Wouldn’t stay here again.
I hope they have fixed the place since when I went last summer. I put off my review, but am still so disgusted I had to post. I tried cancelling my reservation after the first day. The hotel employee was nice and said okay, but they could not refund my money. They said I had to contact Expedia, but I couldnt reach anyone. Since I didnt know if Expedia would, I went ahead and stayed the second night. I had my room changed and it was a little less gross, but Id never stay in these conditions again. The place was falling apart. Outside reaked of pot.
Positive: It was close to Disneyland. Negative: The parking is horrendous, the sheets and towels are stained, the walls were dirty, vending machine was broken, only two tiny trash cans in room and no access to dumpster, no lock on bathroom door. I would never stay here again.
It was an extremely poor room. My wife and I went there for our honeymoon and ended up not staying there.. the beds were horrible, the third floor felt like a dungeon and the lights didn’t work. The whole place was out of date and needed help bad! I would not recommend it ever!
This is the worst hotel we ever stayed. Cockroaches on floors. The floor was filthy not cleaned black hair everywhere the sinks were dirty the cabinets in the bathroom were filthy the ceiling and walls were falling apart. Curtains were dirty toilet seat dirty. Doors were hard to even shut in the bathroom. Window didn’t have screens. Covid is still out there and they should be more clean and sanitary. We tried to get a refund they wouldn’t give us one. Homeless people living in cars in the parking lot. Pictures are misleading never again!
Had to give 1 star but if I had a choice Id give a half star. The price was okay isnt anything different from what Ive paid before. The room had no toilet paper except the half used roll on the holder. Every day I couldnt re enter the room without notifying the front that my key didnt work. The bathroom door was dragging, there was only a bathroom mirror. The AC was the only thing to get super cold. Getting them to give me an extra roll of toilet paper was pulling teeth. Housekeeping doesnt do JACK, the service was ridiculous. Motel 6 has way better service and was walking distance to the park, NEVER coming here again!
The goodThe rooms were clean, and they were priced rather low. In terms of cheap lodging near Disneyland, you basically cant get much better. The staff was friendly, and chek in and out was seamless. All in all, perfectly cromulentThe not so goodTo be perfectly frank, you get what you pay for with this place. The rooms were clean, yes, but you can definitely feel a few of the ways that money has been saved. the matresses were dated and creaky, the paint was done with value in mind, the light fixtures were wobbly, the wallpaper wasnt always flush to the wall, and overall feels like a hotel a decade or two out of its time with a makeover to its rooms. The proximity to disneyland is good, yes, but actually walking to the park from the hotel isnt the most convenient. especially after youve spent a day in the park.
Nice view of the Disneyland fireworks. Other than that its a place to sleep...kind of. Rooms get a huge amount of road noise from speeding traffic all night on Ball Road. Rooms are dated and run down. Bathroom floor was peeling up and smells of mold. Staff was pleasant, but I wouldnt come back to this one again.
Positive: It is true that the building is old, but it included everything it needed (beds, microwave, AC, fridge, etc.). The lady on the counter was very nice and friendly. The room is old but clean as it can be. I felt pretty safe in the hotel. Negative: You get what you have paid for, if you dont expect much you would be satisfied with the stay. However, if you are used to fancy places, this is not the place you would like to stay. It smells moldy and the place is worn out.
Dont stay here. We checked in around 12am and had to leave. We were shown 4 rooms total and all rooms were nasty. HAIR EVERYWHERE in two rooms. 3rd room had rocks and pebbles in it. They refused to give our money back, and said we were being to prissy and dont understand why we are complaining. The guy literally said you guys are only staying one night, you cant get sick. Maybe your standards are high. Awful!!!
It was terrible !! I booked this room 7 months ago ; we get here in time to eat and go to bed in anticipation of Disneyland the next day . We get in the room and only one of the outlets in the whole room works..not to mention broken lights between the beds . Anyways...2 hours later with manager coming in and out flipping lights on and off with the breaker...we end up with extension cords linked together all over the room !!! Grrrr.!!!
This couldn’t have been a worse experience. If 0 stars was an option…I would pick it. We made reservations through booking.com. My card was stolen, but they said it wouldn’t be charged until arrival. They tried to charge my card the following month and it declined because it was stolen. So they automatically canceled our reservation instead of calling to get another card. Then, i called and got a new reservation for more money, then at some point for unknown reasons they canceled my reservation. No calls, no emails, nothing. So, i thought i still had reservations until we got there. They informed us we did not have reservations despite them sending me a pdf copy of my confirmation. They told us they couldn’t help us and wouldn’t find us another room at another hotel for the same price. They could’ve easily called local hotels and booked us and only charge us for the amount our room was suppose to be. Instead we had to get a place further away requiring uber rides everyday to and from Disneyland instead of walking for free. The cost of the new hotel and uber was more than double the cost of the original hotel. Worst customer service ever. They couldn’t even tell me which employee canceled my reservations and why they did it and what date it was canceled.
Worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. The windows and doors let in every tiny noise. A ton of road noise and cars backing up, clanking, etc. Unclean room, mold everywhere in the bathroom, counters falling apart. Asked for more pillows, and they never brought them. Horrible bed. You get what you pay for here.
Positive: Location is all. Negative: Rooms were beyond filthy!! Hair and dirt everywhere!! Fridge was not cold enough for my drinks. Bugs and spider webs all over the room. BATHROOM TOWLS STILL had black marks on them and were dirty!!!! Light switches were broken! Tv screen was broken
I got scared of the reviews Im seeing online before our check-in. Now here is my honest review. We booked two rooms. For the price of 359 USD for 2 rooms (3D2N). Each room has 2 beds. I think it isnt that bad. The AC, microwave and fridge are working properly for room 211 and 105. The place is close to Disneyland park (2-3 mins. by car). Room 212 and 211 were given to us. I talked to the receptionist who was very nice and ask them to move my parents out of Rm 212 because it smells horrible even we had sprayed it with Lysol. Room 211 is good. It looks new. Everything is working properly and it doesnt smell bad. Then my parents moved from Room 212 to Room 105. It was better because it wasnt pungent, the room looks new but there is a leak the next morning. Our experience wasnt that bad at all . I was expecting the worst because of the reviews Im reading online. Will I go back in Anaheim Maingate Inn? Maybe. Or... maybe Ill just look for another place. 😀 Pics I posted are from Room 211.
My friend and I were supposed to stay here from July 17th till July 20th. We did not end up finishing our trip here. This place is absolutely gross. The room had brown hair everywhere (we are both blonde). I mean everywhere....in the shower, the floor, one the towels, and IN THE BED!!! There were gnats flying everywhere. We complained to the front desk and they said they would have house keeping clean it and make it better for us. It was absolutely not better. We left and went to the Hilton. Plus, they didnt give us our money back. I just wanted to warn people so they do not have a similar experience.
This was the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. We got in at 3 am, and they left our key under the doormat.... That probably shouldve been our first red flag. All night there was screaming outside our door and rowdy drunk men. The room itself was ok, but the environment and location was extremely sketchy. The complimentary breakfast was tang and a stale muffin. You get what you pay for here.
Awful service and the room was disgusting they steal deposits so beware you will be fighting with them to get your money back the room was dirty it had other peoples food. There was tagging on wall and the door was not even painted dirt stain, water marks on ceiling. Missing or broken items and worse of all cockroaches.
I am not sure what people were expecting to get from a discount hotel, but I was surprised after these reviews. The beds were comfortable everything was clean. The room was nice in looks and the water was HOT. Everything they stated they had was included. The staff was very helpful and responsive. We were so close to Disneyland you could feel the fireworks! I didnt try the breakfast as my son has special diet requirements. But they have a fridge and a grocery store nearby. I would definitely stay here again.
Location-wise, this motel is perfect to just drop your stuff off and walk to Disneyland or Downtown Disney, but its not a great place to stay. When I was there, I had dirty sheets and towels, the smoke detector was taped up, and the phone didnt work (even to call the front desk). The staff is pretty friendly and housekeeping was quick to change the sheets, so just make sure you check your bed and towels before you need to use them.
The staff was friendly and helpful so they get an extra star.Towels are so old it felt like drying off with sandpaper. We were provided a tiny square for hand soap which was nigh impossible to clean hands with. We had a smoker in our room prior to our stay and zero effort was made to get the smell out of the room. We had to buy our own air freshener. The Disneyland fireworks go off right next to the hotel which sounds like incoming mortar fire, not great for sleeping little ones. Water pressure in the shower is non existent and most of the electrical outlets were cracked or so loose the plugs fell out. The parking lot is a narrow L shape which makes it difficult to maneuver if your car is bigger than a compact. We were here for Disneyland so expectations were low, but it felt like the hotel was putting no effort in to maintenance or upkeep. There is a vacant lot next to the hotel which looks like it will be developed. It seems as though they may be putting no money into the existing hotel until the adjacent lot is developed. Until a major remodel is done on the place I cant recommend staying here as it is subpar even by budget standards.
Its a very old building and the room showed it. We felt very unsafe and wasnt going to leave our car parked there. We cancelled our reservation as soon as we parked in the lot and walked into the room. I highly recommend finding another hotel to stay at even if you have to pay more!
Overall it was a great option for a no-frills, affordable place near Disneyland. Since this is a budget hotel, I didn’t have the highest expectations in extra comforts. I certainly didn’t have some of the negative experiences seen in other reviews. The continental breakfast was muffins/coffee/juice (but better than nothing). My beds were comfortable. I also got a rollaway bed in my room for extra $10. AC worked great. But the water pressure and temperature in the shower fluctuated so at times that was a bit uncomfortable. Also no anti-slip mat was in my tub.Pros: Affordable hotel within a long walk or short uber ride to Disneyland.Cons: you can walk to Disneyland but it’s about 20 minutes to the nearest tram stop or 30 minutes to the main gate. That’s not easy to do when you’ve been at the park all day or want to take a midday break at hotel.Don’t expect a modern hotel but I felt safe and had a place to sleep and take a shower near Disneyland for under $100 a night.
Location is within walking distance to the Disneyland hotel since its located just behind the Mickey and friends parking arrangement. Breakfast is merely tang and prepackaged muffins, the cleanliness has to be worked on because there was a Cockroach in our area we did not notice until the afternoon we left. The rooms with carpeting in them will leave your feet black only by walking .
Many Cockroaches in the room, I turned on the lights and omg they were all over the place. I took several photos to show front desk. I was advised that they will refund remaining days and they lied and refused to return my calls. Are they kidding me no way are we staying the night and we would rather sleep in our vehicle. I’m sorry I wouldn’t recommend their place to anybody not for business or for family vacation. What has happened to this place. Very disappointed.Makes sense why they don’t offer refunds they know once people arrive they won’t stay.
We just returned from our trip. Either we were lucky, or we just had such very low expectations from reading reviews that we were pleasantly surprised when our room really wasn’t as terrible as we thought it was going to be. We didn’t have bedbugs, or any bugs, we always had a parking space, water was hot, beds were comfortable, and there’s a mini fridge and microwave as well. Dollar Tree, Walmart, and all kinds of stores and fast food restaurants are in a short driving distance.Yes, the floor doesn’t look like it’s been swept or mopped in ages, the continental breakfast is limited, and the towels are so old, but it’s an INN/motel, and not a five star place, so don’t expect anything fancy or updated at all. It suited our needs, which was a cheap place within walking distance to Disneyland (about 15-20 minute walk to Downtown Disney, and then another 5-10 minutes to the park entrance, if you don’t take the tram, OR a very short drive with $25 all day parking - even if you leave for a bit). It also provided a comfortable place to shower and sleep. It is next to the highway so you’ll hear traffic sometimes, (and the park’s fireworks show is at 9:30pm), but we put the heater’s “constant fan” option to provide white noise. Checking in and out was painless and the receptionists were nice. So if you’re on a tighter budget and just need a place to shower and sleep, it shouldn’t be too bad here. Thanks, Anaheim Maingate Inn!
Housekeeping stole over $200 from my wife’s purse. The management said that it was impossible because the maid had work for them for over 10 years and offered no composition and only informed me I could make a police report. The room was gross and poorly maintained. Horrible parking situation, very loud street noise, and smells of mold.
Stayed for a weeklong birthday trip. We were greeted with handmade cards for the birthday girls and continuous delightful service. Close to Disneyland, easy drive and breezy walk. Could see the firework show from our room! Staff was wonderful, friendly, and easy going. Complimentary breakfast was a good start to every morning. Beds were comfy, five adults stayed in one room with two beds and all our backs are more than fine. Every night when we returned to our room, the beds were made and bathroom essentials were replaced. They even folded blankets that we had brought from home - how thoughtful!Thank you for helping make this birthday trip unforgettable!
First let me say that i come to anaheim frequently and have stayed at most of the hotels around Disneyland as i have an annual pass. This was my first time saying at this hotel and was excited and looking forward to my stay during valentines weekend. When i arrived, the check in process was normal and was given a key for a room. I had booked for a king bed, but received a two bed room ( not as romantic but not the end of the world). After bringing all my luggage from the car and up the stairs through a couple of people smoking, i noticed there was mold in the bathroom of my room (220). There was also hair on the walls and plenty of dust and stains all over the beds, so i called the front desk and informed Dora of the situation only to be greeted with nothing but rudeness and was told to “get out of the room get out now!”.She then proceeded to call me as i was taking my luggage out of the room to say “you’re not out of the room, you didn’t get out”. When i went to the front desk, she acted nicer and offered me a different room so i said “sure”, at first glance the second room (104) seemed already much better since i didn’t see any mold. As i was sitting down on the bed, i noticed there were cigarette burns all over one of the blankets and as i got up i saw a couple of cockroaches. I took my luggage to the car and went to complain. The receptionist didn’t care for what i had to say and just ignored me.
DO NOT BOOK HERE. I had to cancel a reservation due to one of the guests getting COVID before arrival. I called and spoke with the manager who said theyd agree to a full-refund cancellation but I need to go through Booking.com (where I booked). Booking.com agreed and even sent a cancellation request with the reasoning to the hotel. They IMMEDIATELY declined the request. I called the hotel back and they lied to me saying they never received an email from Booking (they didnt know the Booking rep cced me on the emails and I received their denial as well) and continued to deflect blame onto Booking.com.This hotel would rather have guests with COVID than honor what nearly every other hotel is doing under the circumstances.Avoid this place at all costs.
Not very clean 😕 just spend the extra $20 to get an other hotel. You would think something so close to Disneyland would be OK .If they would take care of their hotel little bit more and do a couple little beauty touch-ups .and upgrade their cleaning.I mean if your sheet has a blood stain and its not coming off , throw away the sheets dont put them on just because you wash them and think its okay.
Price is great. Location good. Interior is good depending on which room you get assigned. Exterior doesnt quite meet my expectations based on word of mouth from previous tenants reviews. But its clean and pleasantly calm and quiet for being so close to a major tourist attraction like Disney land. But my stay had been nothing but pleasant for me and the wifey.
Rating this hotel is hard. Was it kinda gross? Yes. Was it a little smelly? Yes. Were the towels questionable? Yes. Was the wall paper peeling at spots? Yes. Was it very loud throughout the night? Yes. But was it the cheapest hotel close to Disneyland? Yes. Could you see fireworks extremely well from the hotel parking lot? Yes. So overall this definitely not the nicest hotel, but was very affordable and conveniently located.
You get what you pay for. It isn’t the nicest place, pillow case was stained with makeup, the corners or the room had some build up. But, internet was good, and the room served it purpose. It’s a 15 minute walk to downtown Disney. I wouldn’t be mad if I stayed here again. The front desk lady was very nice.
Stayed for the weekend. First off nothing but tweekers, and homeless looking people seem to stay here. There was yelling in the hallway at odd hours seemed like the neighbors were fighting! the beds were hard as rocks and there was no hot water!! Lastly they kept my deposit for 5-7 business days like really, I’m a clean respectful person so I left the room clean!!! Plus I don’t think it can get any worse that when I arrived!! I guess you get what you pay for I will never stay here again! Prefer to pay extra and have the comfort and safety!
If I could I would give 0 stars. I reserved online a room with 2 queen sized beds and instead I got full size beds. Yet they were quick to charge my credit card for queen beds. They didnt even bother to apologize nor offer a reasonable solution. I had to bring it to their attention and to no response from them. They only offered a refund and for me to go find a room elsewhere. Very unprofessional and nobody is held accountable. This place is very runned down and when I requested extra towels they said come to the office to pick them up. I was so tired from walking at Disneyland that I could not take another step I was on the second floor with no elevator. I highly recommend that you avoid this place, not worth the time and money. Btw, there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom.
This is an old place and its aging poorly. The parking lot is small and always packed. The hallways are narrow and the stairs are steep. The beds are fine but dont have a bottom sheet and the pillows are practically nonexistent. Despite these there is a certain charm to the place, like stepping backwards in time. If all youre doing is laying down your head between trips to Disneyland then the proximity is perfectly acceptable, within walking distance from Downtown Disney.
I am giving this MOTEL 6 FIVE STARS because it far exceeds all other budget motels in the same class of service. This is a great location, central and closeby to everything to make your Anaheim Resort area a great one especially with a tight budget in mind.I am reviewing this in the midst of the pandemic with Disneyland being closed, many Anaheim Resort hotels closed until the parks re-open, and this location specifically open with COVID limitations, safety and health precautions in place.Regarding the COVID safety and health guidelines, I am happy to say that this location is doing an excellent job in keeping the rooms, linens, bedding, grounds, lobby, and their employees and guests healthy and safe. Everyone wears masks and gloves and the staff actively enforce guests to wear their masks.Their rooms are very clean and large and their housekeeping staff is excellent. The lobby is always clean, brightly lit, and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The maintenance team is here daily always busing keeping everything in working order, and ensuring the trash cans are clean on the outside and the trash liner replaced daily. They have well placed new covered trash can everywhere. Thank you!It is great to see that they have excellent 24 hour security to handle anything that may happen and enforce the WEAR A MASK mandate by state government requiring everyone to wear one.The parking is free and you are issued a permit for your stay to be displayed on your dashboard. They do actively enforce this.It appears that management is taking this down time to do a lot of upkeep and maintenance everywhere. I happen to be here when they had scheduled deep cleaning of the air conditioner units in every room. The vendor team adhered to COVID safety as well.New locks were installed in each door of every room. The pool area has been closed not only due to COVID but also to resurface the area, deep clean the drains under the patio surfaces, clean and repaint all areas needing it, and deep clean the patio furniture. The grounds are well cared for. The chain is dog friendly. There is a great dog green area with a waste bag station and trash can right there as well.Clean laundry facilities.Clean vending area and ice machines.A limited hours now-open gift and sundries shop in the lobby.Walking distance to the Harbor Blvd. entrance to the Disney Resorts (they do have a resort shuttle stop located next to the lobby), one block to Anaheim Gardenwalk and many restaurants and retail outlets.Would definitely recommend this for budget conscious travelers.
Great location, but my husband and I didn’t want to have to stay at the hotel any longer than needed. The bed sheets were stained, ants crawling in the bathroom every day, and dead geckos in the hallway outside our bedroom. There were no clothes hangers either in the closet. Definitely choosing a different hotel next time.
I will only really stay here if I can get a good deal when I go to Disneyland. I do love the convenience of being so close to the parks. But over all, the hotel is nothing special. The rooms need to be updated or repaired, the cleaning staff took forever to clean our room, and continental breakfast is a bit of a joke. On the upside, you do get a mini fridge, microwave, and small coffee pot in your room for food, so that kind of makes up for it. Lastly, there are hardly any outlets in the rooms, so be prepared for that.
The only good thing about main gate hotel in Anaheim near DISNEYLAND. Is that its close to Disneyland. They allow you to leave your car at the HotelYou can take Uber to the Disneyland resort entrance. The beds were very hard and the pillows were very soft. Room was old had not been updated in a very long time. Breakfast was a very minimal continental breakfast. Just juice coffee and muffins. The Orange juice? Did not taste like Orange juice tasted like very diluted Tang. The other juice was pink in color no taste or flavor. .would not recommend this hotel. Look for a better hotel around Disneyland. There are lots of hotels near DISNEYLAND. Do a very through research . Call for more informationParking is very sparse. Just enough for hotel guests..
Disneyland was closed and CDPH is enforcing social distancing by telling us to stay home. I went to cancel the booking here and they kept all the reservation cost without any refund. No one responded to any emails and no every answers their phone. I would recommend to everyone the owners conduct shady business and do not care about you or your families health and safety so do not stay hear as well as read the reviews. They only care about $$$$ and not following government recommendations and requirements. I plan to roast this establishment all over social media until they change.
For $65 a night.. it’s decent. I was skeptical regarding what other reviews had said about hair, mold, and roaches.. turns out the only problem really is the hair in the bedsheets. Didn’t kill us though. Spent minimal time in the room anyway, was at Disneyland all day.
Bed is more or less comfy. Found a bug in our room and the walls need to be repaired and everything leaks. The ac unit in the room doesnt actually cool anything off and theres no way to have it force stay on to make the room cooler. Staff is very friendly. Could probably use a remodel.
The hotel was good for the price. We got a larger room with wood floors. It was very clean, although a little out-dated. Parking was a little cramped but we always had a spot. You could see the fire works from the parking lot and it was only a 20min walk to the parks. The staff was very friendly as well. If youre looking for a cheaper place, Id recommend this one.
This isnt the newest or cleanest, but the staff are super nice and it is close to the parks. Walking use to take us 7 minutes to get to the tram and now it took 27 minutes with the new route. Still a great stay and super awesome staff. We asked for extra towels the first day and housekeeping left extras each day without us asking again. We will definitely stay here again.
This is an okay place to stay if youre on a tight budget, but it is not comfortable or very clean. The bathroom was in desperate need of a remodel. The walls were thin and you could hear heavy traffic outside. There were also stains on the bed and walls. It is about a 20 minute walk from the Disneyland entrance.
Location is good for Disney, some hotels are closer. Its very old and some rooms have had some renovations but its mixed. They cancelled my reservation but because we checked in on Sunday they were able to get us 2 rooms... so crisis averted. The staff is very nice and helpful.
This resort is great for that last minute, one night stay when going to neighboring theme parks (Disneyland resort). The beds were a little rough, had some issues with the light fixtures on the wall not working, but other than that, not terrible, good place for your money, and super close to Disneyland, downtown Disney and shopping.
This hotel has a great price and great location to Disneyland, and easy check in. However you get what you pay for. The beds arent comfortable, our bathroom has rust stains everywhere, the light above the sink has ceiling tile stuck in the grate, and the towels are threadbare and dingy. They offer a continental breakfast which consists of two types of muffins, juice and coffee. This place needs a serious ouverhaul. You want a place to sleep thats walking distance from the park? This is it. Do not expect anything else.
DONT STAY HERE!! Rooms are awfully dirty, customer service is bad, shower has mold all around tile. Pictures they have on their website look nothing like the rooms you get. Its very close to Disneyland, they are over priced for the condition of the room. Youre better off staying at a Motel 6. Attached is picture of bathroom tile! Save yourself the headache.
The worst hotel I ever stayed at. My boyfriend and I decided to take a vacation to Disneyland, the location of it was fairly close but the downside came to the customer service. First thing we checked in at 2PM, we called to see if we could possibly check in earlier because we were tired of traveling and they insisted at 2PM was check in time, so we said okay because that’s policy, so 2PM came around the corner and housekeeping was BARELY cleaning what was suppose to be our room, we tried to be patient but 10 min passed by, then 20 more minutes passed by that we started getting very impatient because we were so tired and front desk told us at 2PM was check in time even though we checked in and our room was not utilized until much much later. That was the first encounter, secondly they ended up switching our room because housekeeping was taking long, no one communicated with other front desk personnel, the next day we went to Disney and after a long day of walking we wanted nothing more than to come back to our hotel, to find out our card was not letting us in our room because someone checked us out of our room due to them having a miscommunication over whst room we they decided to switch us. The last and final straw was when housekeeping (Or someone from within) came inside our hotel room even though the “privacy keep out” Sign was up while my boyfriend and I went to Disney and someone stole our medical prescription... front desk just said the housekeeping was an old lady and she would never do it but who else would have my medication when we did not take it anywhere with us besides our hotel and was on top of the drawer. AND the room had a foul smell when we checked in, and gave us one towel to shower when two people were using the hotel. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. That’s how they get you, they tell you it’s non refundable so they can give you whatever service they want.
I came here for a couple days visit to the area. We found the front desk employee to be very pleasant and it was very convenient to get to the tram over to Disneyland. Those are unfortunately the only positive things I can say. When we arrived, there was trash in the walkways and on the ac units. Walking into the room, the floors and beds were clean but there were cobwebs by the lights, the walls have not had a good cleaning or painting in far too long, and the air conditioner was falling apart and was barely secured to the wall. I asked housekeeping for extra pillows and it seemed to be an inconvenience. I had to request a hair dryer from the front desk. There was too much furniture in a very small space. No hangers in the small “closet” area by the luggage rack. The beds were in good condition but very low quality and uncomfortable. We left for Disneyland early the next morning to spend the day and when we went back mid-day, the curtains to our room were wide open so anyone walking by could see what was in there. HUGE SECURITY ISSUE! At 8:30am (check out is 11) the next day before my son was even out of bed, housekeeping knocked on the door and woke him up. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!
Location is decent, but its a little bit of a walk to the closest tram to the park. Rooms were clean and nice enough for the price. We did get frustrated that we asked for a pack n play in advance and it was nowhere to be found when we checked in. We had a very tired and fussy baby and it took multiple checks at the front office before they finally found it. Otherwise, stay was fine.
I stayed in room 107 on June 18th. I checked in but did not check out the room until around 2 am. After a long day at Disney we were too tired to try to find another place to stay. The room has a hole in the wall and the floor, walls have peeling paint, only one bed had a sheet, the AC is missing a vent causing it to blow full force in the face of the person/persons in the bed (the one with the sheet), because of this I ended up sleeping in my wheelchair. There was also had what looked like food in the AC. The front door doesnt stay shut very well and made us feel unsafe. There was a cockroach on the microwave. My children got stuck in the bathroom for over 10 mins because the door wouldnt open! They were extremely frightened! We didnt feel comfortable taking a shower as the bathtub was nasty and there was moldy walls in the bathroom! I complained to the office and they said to email but gave me the wrong email address. After attempting to email for days I called and was again given false email. I finally found the email address on the website. It was a miserable night! I can overlook some cosmetic issues however the safety and comfort issues I cannot forgive. My children were truly terrified being stuck in the bathroom. Additionally, I shouldnt have to pay $100 to sleep in my wheelchair! It is incredibly ridiculous that its now been well over a week and I still havent received a response! This is appalling!
THEY DONT HAVE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST! They only have muffins and coffee which didnt taste any good either. They had mold in the restroom on the cracks of the tile. Some rooms are nicer and cleaner looking than the others. Had to switch rooms three times cuz the staff in the front made a mistake.
As much as the woman who is at the front desk was willing to accommodate and give us a new room I was still left with a terrible taste in my mouth due to the fact that our sink leaked this nasty stinky old water on the floor and not only our first room had a very large ant problem but so did our new room. The outlets didn’t hold anything in them so it was very hard to charge our phones. We ended up staying one night but cancelled the rest of our scheduled stay.
Not to bad since we were right next to the employee parking lot entrance. Just about 300ft. to the train to take us to Downtown. The rooms are small but clean and thats what is important. Noise level was not bad. Parking is right so if you have a big car or SUV, you may have a stuggle parking it in the car port. Continental breakfast is coffee with cheap powder creamer and very sweet muffins. Ice is not free...not sure how much ice you get when you pay the 50cents. No ice bucket in the rooms and not sure if supplied if ask. You must ask for a hair dryer but not a big deal. Book in advance to get the best deal....I would stay here again.
Room is adequate to stay in but not great. Bed was comfortable and linens clean. Came with microwave and small refrigerator which were not used. Room itself is very dated. WiFi was very poor (no signal) and TV was only 32. We arent in the room that much, but like to have sufficient WiFi and a decent TV for the small amount of time we spend there. Water pressure in the shower was poor and if you are below 5 foot 5 inches you will have to hunch over in order to shower your entire body or wash your hair. Would given1 and a half stars but cant give a half a star, so rounding down.
Disappointing - first thing we noticed was that there was so much dust on the phone and clock that i wondered if the place is cleaned regularly. the walls were filthy. I was afraid to think of putting a blacklight to it. cheap ass soap and shampoo. no hair dryer, but got one from the desk that blew hard but no hot air. made my wife frustrated which she took out on me. never again. The noise at night was very poor. we had a couple a few doors down that was fighting outside, you could hear movements in the rooms nearby. The only good thing was the location was within walking distance to the trams. Still not worth it.
My family of 4 has stayed here in the past (back in April of 2014/2015). We had a fair experience. Short walk to the tram/Disneyland. I decided to book the same hotel again for our family vacation in March of 2019. I had originally booked for a 3 night. I had to book an extra night last minute a month before our stay, and the staff helped me by sending me an email confirmation about being able to book an extra night, I called to verify and the lady said I needed nothing else to do, I had already called to confirm the email and reserved my extra night. Come to the day of check in (we arrived at 10:45pm after a 6 hour drive) the lady at the front desk said that my reservation has been canceled because I did not call back to confirm and that they were completely booked out! The lady went to go get her manager, who ended up giving us a room for the night but we would have to move our luggage to a different room the following day. Note, at the time they did ask to see my drivers license). The following morning we had to move to a different room, in which we had to move all of our luggage. We found a huge dead cockroach under one of our beds. The following morning we get a call from the hotel phone in our room asking me to go down before I began my day to sign a new paper for the new room we were moved into. I did as I was asked and also again, showed my drivers license. On our last night, we came back to the room about 9:30pm. My 6 & 8 year olds were exhausted and wanted to just fall asleep, plus it was so cold! We tried, repeatedly, to get into our hotel room, but the key was not working. My husband went down to check out why the key was not letting us in our room. He comes back and says that I needed to go down to the office and show my Drivers License for verification. I was upset because my two daughters were at this point fed up and wanted to get inside the warm hotel room and sleep! I went into the office and showed me Drivers license. The lady at the front desk told me that they had locked us out because my drivers license picture was not on file! On the final night of our stay they finally wanted to get a copy!? Why not the first night when we check in? Why not the next morning when I was asked to sign the new registration? Why not call me and leave a message (if I didnt answer) to let me know that when I come back or as soon as I have a chance, or before I leave for the day, to make a stop at the office to get a copy of my DL! Dont just automatically lock us out in the cold! The lady took a copy of my DL and tried to reactivate the key. But their machine had broken down and wasnt letting her reactivate the key. She had to call her manager to help her. Finally, we were able to get into our room! Our sheets were dirty, house keeping is definitely not doing their job. I will no longer be booking here. Our first experience was great. However this last experience was not as well as the first. Perhaps change in management?
The staff is very rude. Their continental breakfast consists of stale muffins and sunny D. Room was dirty...hair in the bath tub. Trash wasnt emptied. Would not bring any extra towels. 3 ppl for 4 days only got 2 towels. Maid knocked at 8 am on our check out day demanding to clean our room. Terrible place. We will never return here.
The only positive thing about this place is being super close to Disneyland, so we didn’t have to pay for parking. However, it’s near a high-traffic street so there’s a lot of noise at all times, specially at night! The restroom super ugly and smelly, the AC units are old and noisy, towels feel like sandpaper! The hotel pictures on the traveling websites are not real!! The owner hasn’t spent a cent in maintenance to this place in probably more than a decade!!
I had a horrible experience at this Hotel. We took our daughter to Disneyland and stayed at this hotel. The room was infested with bed bugs. My daughter was bitten by the bed bugs multiple times. We had to checked out the room early, We spoke to the owner/manager Bobby and he said he was going to reimburse us for the hotel room, medicines and doctor expenses for my daughter. Its been over two months and Bobby doesnt returned our calls emails or faxes we have sent him. He never reimbursed us any money. He was so rude that he told us we brought the bed bugs with us.
I booked a room for me to stay while I would be in town for a conference in April 2020. Since the conference was canceled, I called to get a refund that they said they would give me within 1-2 weeks and I received nothing almost 3 weeks later. They have horrible customer service and they did not do what they said they will do. The manager is elusive and doesnt take responsibility for what his business does, leaving his front desk staff to bear the burden.
Smelly room, like septic, especially when the hvac was rumning. TV non functional. Phone not plugged in to anything. Lights missing and/or not working. Cobwebs in the corners. Dirt and debris under beds. Black spots on the tub floor. Shower only barely works, with the faucet running the entire time even after switching to shower mode. The room was terrible, like maybe the worst Ive ever stayed in.Pros: extremely close to Disney, easy to get to the parks. The owner let us park all day after checking out so we could get our Disney trip in. That was nice of him as parking is very limited.Cons: everything else. It was really bad. Would definitely not stay there again.
This was awful. I reserved a room three days in advance. When I arrived they had to find me a room... Then gave me the wrong room. The sink leaked and the wallpaper Id coming up in places. We had to park is a super small space that we are hoping we can get out of today and we were planning to sleep in but were woken up at 8 with Loud knocks as the cleaning lady let herself into the room. We havent even looked at breakfast which is some type of muffin and juice.
The first room we got (333) was FILTHY! There was mold, dirt, dust, and stains everywhere.Would give them a 1 star rating but the woman at the front desk was flexible and gave us a new room. The new room was much cleaner but it was still dirtier than other motels weve stayed at.Also, despite requesting a late checkout, we were reminded 3 times that we needed to check out before the check-out time.Parking is also very limited and tight--good luck parking in one of the spaces if you have a truck.Overall: dirty rooms and limited parking but good wi-fi, service, and located near Disneyland
If your main purpose of a hotel is so you can have place to sleep to go to Disneyland its a great location because close to DisneylandBut if youre looking at a hotel as a destination this is not it...Needs wifi access... almost every room i have stayed in does not have good wifi signal...They need more wifi access points
Rooms are absolutely disgusting. After I complained about the stains all over the beds, they upgraded us to a room that has red goopy stuff all over the walls and the table tops, but at least the bed appeared better. We had already paid so we really didnt have a choice to leave. The second room smelled like straight sewage, but after turning the air on for a couple hours, the smell subsided.
The floors and baseboards looked like they have never been washed. Stained bedsheets and pillow cases. Spiderwebs and spiders in the bathroom. For breakfast they had 3 different muffins, 2 kinds of Sunny D, and coffee. Parking is tricky because most rooms are on one side, and theres only about 4 or 5 stalls for probably 15-20 rooms but theres more parking around the corner. The sink was leaking BUT they did have it fixed the following day.The only saving grace is that it is close to Disneyland (13 min walk to Trams or 30ish min walk to inside the gates). I would probably stay again if we go to Disneyland just because its affordable and its not like you spend much time at the place anyway.
I really enjoyed my stay at this place. It was cozy. The mini fridge kept our drinks super cold. Plus the shower was pretty huge. It was awesome taking a shower in there. The lady who attended us was really nice as well. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.
Dirty towels, floor not swept, walls in restroom had stains that should have been wiped and cleaned, ants in room. Moved to another room that was almost the same. Ugh. We dont mind staying in an old hotel but management should train housekeeping properly, and supervise them.
The location was convenient, as it was close to disneyland and the place was low. However, I have never once stayed at a motel as absolutely filthy as this one. The toilet wasnt clean, there was hair in our ice bucket, the coffee tray had spilled coffee in it, the microwave looked like it had never once been cleaned, the walls were covered in strange spills and had hair sticking to it. They also had ants. We left the maid service sign up and they didnt even clean the room while we were gone, just really poorly made the beds. To be frank, if they want their motel to succeed, they need to fire and rehire housekeeping because they have no idea what theyre doing. Im a professional housekeeper and if I cleaned like them, Id be out of the job. My mistake for thinking that a cheaper room didnt mean sacrificing cleanliness.
If I could give 0 stars this would be it. First of all, the door didnt have a deadbolt. So little to no security. Second, the bed was found unmade with a massive coffee spill soaked all the way to the mattress. Next, the towels in the bathroom were all wet and used and the wall had black stains all over it. And there were 3 roaches crawling in the corner. For 80 dollars and a 50 deposit not even close to worth it. This was by far the worst room I have stayed in, and we left after an hour.
The absolute worst hotel Ive ever been in. Was in the room for no more than an hour before I had to go somewhere else. The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude when we told her about the state of our room, asking why it took us so long to complain to them about it (We were making sure we could make reservations elsewhere for the night). The chairs had red/black/brown stains all over them, the towels were yellow, parts of the counter in the bathroom were missing, the pillows had makeup stains on the them, the curtains had cigarette burns in them, and there was pubic hair all over the bathroom floor. It felt gross just standing in there. I HIGHLY recommend staying ANYWHERE ELSE in Anaheim. Cant imagine there is much worse than this place.
Good location if you drive. Nearby to Disney Park. Cam hear the fireworks from the motel in the evening. Nice reception staff however I think the houskeeping team is understaff as I requested for the room to be serviced in the morning and when I came back in the afternoon at 1.30 pm it was not done yet. Conditions in the bathroom could be better.
This is the worst place! Disneyland has closed so I called to cancel my reservation. I called 3 times, leaving a message each time for the manager. He never called me back. I finally got ahold of him and he said he was canceling my reservation. It has been a week and it is still not canceled. I called again and I could hear the receptionist tell him I was on the phone and all of a sudden he was busy and she said he would call me back!!! I will NEVER stay at this place. Beware!!!!
If your plan is to go to disneyland then this place does the job since its only walking distance to the tram that takes you to disneyland. As far as the place it self, its ok. As what i saw the sheets and blankets and also the pillows were clean. The bathroom looked clean but the tub did looked worn down. The faucet was clogged up. Also, the room needs to be renovated. Like i said before, if you need a place to sleep and thats really close to disneyland thats affordable, then this the place
The CC I had on file stated it was not working. I updated my CC morning of my stay at 8:00am. I was informed the hotel got my updated info. Around noon I got an e-mail stating they canceled my room. The woman stated they already gave my room away, there are no rooms and I was out of luck. Due to there being a convention in town the cheapest room was almost 700 somewhere else. I was forced to cut my trip short and drive home due to the incompetence and uncaring people at the hotel.
The room we had was so disgusting and reaked so horribly of mildew. There was visible black mold in the bathroom. I was in my second trimester, and the smell of mildew was so bad, it was giving me a headache. There were holes in the walls and chipping paint everywhere. And holes in the sheets and blankets. We were extremely disappointed and actually went home at midnight on our second night because we couldn’t handle staying in the room another night. Staff was friendly enough, but the room was absolutely disgusting.
If I could give negative stars I would. The front desk women are absolutely rude and unprofessional in their conduct. Their mannerism is something of a street rat, which is a shame because the manager is such a sweet man. The rooms are unfortunately older and dingy. Most of the screens for the windows are bent and bowed like they were taken out from someone trying to break in. If they cleaned up this location and hired new front desk women it would be a very lovey place. In all honesty, I would never return again. Even if I was paid too.
We had stayed there last 2 years (rooms 220 and I forgot the first one) and room was ok (you get what you pay for type of thing) but this time, room 215 was HORRIBLE! Mold in bathroom behind toilet, tub dirty they was a pony tail holder inn the drain with hair, no air our heating unit, even bringing it to the attention and being told it would be looked at (wrong plug). holes behind the door and above the toilet. Last guests take out food still in the microwave (which tells us, they take short cuts and not check) I can NOT express how disgusting this was, we were here for the star wars run and they were booked. It seems the owner is being run over by his staff and doesnt want to put money into rehabbing these rooms. Its a good location at a short walk to the parking structure, but this is THE LAST TIME STAYING here, the bad part is originally we were booked in room 220, but as usual they moved us. I booked back in June 2016
There is a sign about spa rules, but no spa anywhere. It is nowhere near the main gate. It was a 20 minute walk to get into Downtown Disney. That is not pleasant when you walk about 10 miles a day inside the park. There was no plug for the bathtub. The carpets were sticky. When I walked around in my bare feet in the morinig, to get ready for my day in the park, the bottoms of my feet were black by the time I was ready to put on my shoes. There was also some renovation going on at around 10 or 11 at night.
I swear for the whole week I was there they didnt change the comforter set and images rotating the sheets from Corners to corners it literally took for me to call them and say I want new sheets for the it actually to be changed. But the front staff was cool and nice. The views from the roof top are amazing.
DO NOT STAY HERE!! I “stayed” here with my younger siblings and friend. First off during check in, I was asked if I was even an adult (I’m 20) and he laughed at me. That I really didn’t appreciate. 2nd off, we found BED BUGS!! I discovered a small bite on my finger, I didn’t think anything of it. Bug bites happen. Especially being outdoors all day. As my sister was getting into the bed she screamed and said there’s black bugs on my pillow! We packed up all our stuff and decided we were not going to stay there. We approached the “24 hr” lobby (it’s closed 12am-7am....yeah definitely 24hrs) it said to ring the buzzer or call. We did both multiple times and low and behold, no answer! At that point I didn’t even care about my money. We left the key and drove 2 hours home at 2am. Avoid this place at all costs!
Location was great but thats about all I can say. The room I stayed in had had marker writing on parts of the walls. The floors were so dirty that just from walking around the room, my feet became completely covered in a black film of dirt. When I decided to take a shower. The showerhead barely worked and the drain plug would not stay up. I have NEVER stayed in such a bad place. For all this the price was ~$100 for the night. Outrageous! I will NEVER stay here again.
Room was okay at best. Bed was very hard, pillows werent exactly pillows, and the walls were so thin you can hear the neighbors whole conversation. Worst thing which maybe im being picky where the floors. Absolutly DIRTY! Came out the shower walked over to the bed and my feet were literally dirt black. But other than that, its a place to sleep after disney.
This place is the most ghetto dirty ran down motel ive ever been to! Room was very dirty hair all over shower walls roaches in ceiling to start and what toped it off we had NO towels said they were all dirty never brought us any until the next day after calling desk numerous times and the 2 towels( for the 3 of us) were soaking wet!! Never again
This is the worst hotel ever. I dont even want to give it a star but stay at your own risk. Gave me keys when a family was still in the room. AC outside of rooms are all older and leaking. Room had hair all over the bathroom floor, shower, sink and not hair from your head. Bedding had makeup stains and had plastic on the second bed. I didnt even stay the night and was supposed to be there for three days.
Probably wont stay here ever again. Check in was horrible, hair in our sheets, stains all over carrier. Beds are nice but not very clean cant say I think they change sheets. Looking very run down. Not going to stay again. I travel allot stayed in some run down hotels. This takes the Cake. Wont stay again.
Air conditioner, mini fridge, door locks, stairs all work ok. Parking is pretty bad and isnt the best looking but at least the bed was clean. Shower rod wasnt put on right and smacked my gf in the face upon opening.... but at least the location was close to Disney. Idk 4 stars might be to many.
This was the most ••• DISGUSTING ••• place I have ever stayed, and my husband and I stayed at a hotel in Vegas that we nicknamed the murder motel. Our original room was so gross and outdated that I asked to be transferred to another room, I couldnt bear the thought of bathing in the shower. While at 1st glance the new room looked good it WAS NOT!!!! The walls are dirty, there was a giant booger smeared on the wall next to the headboard, change (as in money) on the ground next to the bed, extension cords hanging from the wall to plug in the TV, toilet seat WAS NOT clean had crusties on it and I had to scrub them off, hair (not just hair from someones head) all over the bathroom floor/tub & door. There was also a foul odor coming from the closet sink area ( it was so bad it was making me gag). I did not sleep well that night knowing I was sleeping in such filth. We ended up canceling the next night and booking across the street at the Best Western....thank goodness they had a room open!
This is the WORST hotel to stay at! DO NOT STAY HERE! You can feel the springs in the mattress and there is mold in the bathroom and in the corners of the bathtub! There are dead cockroaches on the floor! The health department should be notified of this place and shut it down! When asking for a refund, they would NOT refund our money!
Worst motel hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my life. The grounds are disgustingly dirty limited parking and very inconvenient walk to Disneyland unlike the reviews state. No pool no nothing. Doors or water damage walls have crack and dirt. . unbelievable that the health department isn’t in here. This is definitely not main gate Disneyland. I would rather call it stay away gate Disneyland
DONT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH!!!!!If it were possible to give negative reviews, I WOULD!!! This place is just plain gross. Seriously, its disgusting. I honestly believe the health department should be informed (and I plan to do so).We had to switch rooms because it was so terrible and even the new room was bad. My parents were also staying in this hotel at the same time and their room was nasty (thats 3 rooms, all the same issues, in case you are counting). Our first room: The A/C in didnt work and the buttons were all missing. The bathroom door wouldnt close (you couldnt even force it to close) because half of the back of it was missing. There was water damage all over the bathroom floor, walls and baseboard. Wires were hanging from the ceiling and the outlets had no covers on them and when you would plug something in, the plug was loose so, whatever you plugged in would fall out. The final straw (as if that wasnt enough) was the trash, dust, and balls of hair under the night stand and desk. Yup... they obviously dont like to clean. My parents room: there is a plastic bag tied over the smoke detector, the A/C was missing buttons, the wallpaper was falling down, the toilet was clogged and even after having maid service they came back to find the toilet had never been cleaned or unclogged (yes, they notified the front desk about the clog before they left), and the bottom sheet was missing on one of their double beds. Our final room: there was all sorts of lumps in the walls (like dirt trapped behind the wall paper, hair and stains on the bedding, the microwave was gross and unclean, the tub was full of gross dirt, one of the cups (that was stacked on top of another) had dirt and twigs in it, the outlets all fall out of the wall, my husbands pillowcase had hair stuck to it in multiple places, there was a vent in the wall that led outside that was broken and had cracks/slats in it so you could see outside and people could see inside. The baseboards have never been cleaned so their is dirt, dust and what appear to be boogers and what not stuck to them and the floor. There was no extra roll of toilet paper and the toilet paper we were given was 1-ply so with 2 kids it went fast. The lights flicker and turning them on was a pain. You would get a shock or see a flash of electricity every time (obviously not up to code). There is mold on the windows, in the bathroom and the roof leaks. The bedding doesnt get washed. Our first night we found stains and hair all over the beds and pillows. The floor wasnt vacuumed. The bathroom tub looks straight out of a horror movie and the sink leaks.I could go on and on but its a waste of my breath. This place needs to be shut down. It shouldnt even be considered habitable, especially as a hotel. It may be close to Disney but the conditions will ruin your vacation. DONT stay here. Seriously, DONT! And for goodness sake please don;t bring your kids here.
The Anaheim Maingate Innmight have been a great place to stay about 20 years ago, but it hasnt really been updated or well maintained. The room was dirty but smelled like bleach when we arrived. You could tell they hadnt really vacuumed the whole carpet, and there was mold in the shower. There was also a old extension cord connected to a cracked mini fridge and microwave that didnt look like it would pass inspection.
Stayed on the first floor. Walls are a bit thin, not many electrical outlets and the ones that were available didnt all function, internet can be a bit spotty, a leak formed on the third day of our stay from the shower above, but the water pressure is good and the price is reasonable.
Id give half star for unsatisfactory below average room; the smell of cigar and another stinky scent is clinging to every fabric inside the room, dusty to almost clogged ac/heater, rusty and smelly refrigerator, rusty shower head and oversized bathroom but totally useless tub. Extremely inconsiderate loud people next to our room...The lady from the reception area, whom I called, was very apologetic. The noise died down for a good hour and back again when were about to enter the world called sleep. Sheesssh! This kind of building is not suitable for dwelling yet charging over priced!
This place is absolutely gross. Do not stay here... Paper thin walls, you can literally hear everything your neighbors are saying (doing). Bathroom was nasty, shower was so dirty we wouldnt even use it to try to get clean in. Horribly uncomfortable beds with pillows that felt like disguised ziplock bags filled with straw.Just dont... Just dont. I honestly cannot comprehend how some have give my this 4 or even 3 stars.
This is an okay place if you are strapped on a budget. This review is for the two bed rooms,Pros-Has mini fridge, microwave, TV with a good selection of channels, a bar to hang clothes, 3 drawer dresser, continental breakfast, and a place to sleep.Cons-Dirty rooms (my kid found a dead moth and some spiders crawling), towels are limited (had my husband and 2 kids but only 3 towels given), broken toilet paper holder, faucets leaked due to corrosion, mirrors in poor shape, ac wall units missing face plate (potential danger for young kids), loose wires, towels stained, mattresses are extremely hard, no plugs near bed to charge phones, 30 minutes to walk to Disneyland (not good for kids, they loose it by the end of the day.), parking is horrible (spaces are extremely tight unless you get one of the 7 open spots in front, and windows of beds are right next to the walk way, so you either block out the light or have no privacy.Over all, its a place to sleep. If you are ok with the issues above, it will be fine. Otherwise, might want to avoid. Based off my experience, I probably wont be going back. It needs a major rehabilitation.
I’ve stayed at many 2 star hotels around Disneyland, this is by FAR the worst. The rooms are not well kept. There are cracked tiles all over the bathroom, the carpet is gross, there’s mold in the corners of the shower, and the worst is the bed bugs!We didn’t see any until a few days into our stay, but we had been feeling itchy all week. After we found some and approached the desk about it, and moved to a new room, though we woke up the next morning with more bites. My girlfriend has near 50 bites that we’ve found on her! When we were leaving I asked to speak to the manager. The front told me he wasn’t in, though he would contact me that afternoon. I’ve been trying to get ahold of him for 3 days with the same run around response of “he’s not in right now” or “he won’t be in until later today”, though I can never get through to someone the times he is supposed to be in.
DONT STAY HERE!!!!! Worst place Ive ever stayed in. The room looks as if someone was living in it for years and then torn apart and put back together by a mediocre DIY construction worker. The whole place is filthy. The couch in my room was red at some point but it was hard to tell from all the black and brown stains on it. I also found black mold growing underneath the AC. I know it was cheap but this is the worst cheap hotel Ive ever stayed at.
Since I read some disturbing reviews about this place, I was pleasantly surprised! The room was clean, nice wooden flooring, decent furniture, good mattress, new pillows, friendly housekeeping! The management just makes the mistake calling their sweet breakfast continental breakfast, what it naturally is not! Signs on hotelrooms with Escape Route,Emergency Numbers, are missing, no INFO ON PHONE how to call outside,roomtoroom,lobby,...! Lobby closed from 11pm til 7am ! Where am I to drop my key without some stranger snatching it and possibly do havoc in this room? My cab driver and I got inventive! Should look under base of Disney Advertisement at the night counter drawer. Only way to get it out of sight unreachable to longfingers!
This place was gross. The shower leaked and black stuff came flowing from behind the faucet, could have been mold or part of the wall from the inside, who knows. Beds are super uncomfortable. Front desk staff is very absent with service. Just dont stay here for really any reason.
TERRIBLE ROOM! MOLD! TERRIBLE SERVICE! Bed looks as if it was never cleaned or made with new sheets! Hair all over the bed! Dirty towels! Walls were covered in god knows what?!?! TV was broken! Everything was so outdated and broken. So dirty. By far the worst hotel I’ve ever seen!!
Ive stayed at this hotel several times, and have always had great experiences. They seem to have updated everything recently. They arent affiliated with Rodeway anymore and it seems to have been a positive move. Everything is nicer and its really elvated from a more two star comfy place to sleep and shower style hotel to a nice place to kick back and relax all on its own. It is actually more convenient to stay here if youre going to the park than the hotels across the street from the front gate, as it is directly adjacent to a walkway that leads into the parking structure and to the trams. Fireworks are easy to see every night (but do tend to set off everyones car alarms) Parking would definately be the downside, its cramped and hard to manage even in a smaller vehicle. Wifi is free but meh.
There is nothing maingate about this place. Its a 20 minute walk to THE TRAM. YOU CANNOT CUT THROUGH THE EMPLOYEE ENTRANCE ANYMORE. Its great if you are going to drive into the structure, as its about 90 second drive. The rooms are horrible and old. Not worth $100.00. The staff was nice and the parking is good. Rooms are basically a horror movie set...
The room was dirty was none clean when we csme to the room there still was a anacid tablet on tge bed rim due to covid 19 was not ab li e to get a other hotel room the people that came was loud smoking next to room a n.v d breakins to the room dont going to this hotel
Not walking distance...20 min walk.. The room we stayed in had mold growing in many places and the ceiling had stains coming threw from the toilet upstairs and with with water damage and unfinished patch work.. u cant post pictures on here but message me and I will send you the mold picture
It was the most disgusting place I have ever been in because when we went to our bed that the have provided us had blood all over on the bedding sheets and it was the most disgusting place ever. I would never ever in my hole life come back in this hotel. If you care for your kids or family life and health do not ever bring them to this hotel.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.The man I spoke with today answered his personal phone multiple times as I was trying to add dates to our reservations. He then told me I was wasting his time and holding up his phone lines and having his in person customers wait.He told me that there was no money ever given, which proof of payment with confirmation was given to him. This was after I said I wanted to cancel my multiple room reservation because I didnt want to be treated this way. Then he hung up on me!Stay far far away!!!!!
First off,the beds were like sleeping on a pile of rocks. Also, the toilet had a lot of issues. The breakfast was terrible,it was all muffins and orange juice or coffee.there was also a bug in the room.I feel like I could have slept outside and feel more comfortable.this place sucks ass.
I saved you for about a week and the reason why is because the price was really really good but the pictures well definitely did not show the truth dont get me wrong the service and the people that work there are absolutely wonderful it is a very quaint small hotel it was quiet the rooms were very clean and the service was fantastic it is literally right behind Disneyland I recommend this place to everyone
I have not even stayed here yet, and I already do not like the service I am receiving. I cancelled my reservation for the beginning of May because of everything going on and it has been a while since then and I never received any money back from my reservation even with a refundable package. I tried calling on multiple occasions and the phone just rings for a long time until it gets to a message saying to call back later. I just wish that they would respond to their phones and get this problem resolved

2021-12-29To the management and owner, My name is Charles Greer III. I booked 2 rooms for my family vacation to Disneyland & Downtown Disney. We viewed your website and were impressed with the quality of the rooms. Upon our arrival we could not believe the conditions of both our rooms. Room 101 has a window unit that made loud noises throughout the entire night. Before we departed the hotel to go to the park I informed the woman at the front desk that we had loud annoying noises coming from the heater window unit. She stated that she would have the maintenance man look at it when he arrived. After we returned nothing had been done to repair or replace the unit. Additionally all the white towels in our rooms were grayish and looked like they were not clean. My 80 year old mother stayed in room 217 and complained to me that her face towel had irritated her face. I have attached pictures of the room we took with our concerns. This morning I spoke with Mary the front desk receptionist and informed her of the problems we are experiencing. She came to room 101 and heard the noises coming from the window heater unit. She stated that she would have the maintenance man repair the unit or exchange it for one that worked properly. Additionally there was a fire in room 218 next to my moms room 217. One of our cords for the microwave in our room was missing the ground plug. This place is a fire trap.

2022-06-01Positive: The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great! It was within walking distance to Disneyland. They also had free parking and free WiFi. Negative: We were told there would be someone at the front desk 24/7 if we needed something, but we tried calling and checking in the morning and no one was there. Also, our room didnt have coffee with the coffee pot.

2022-07-10This is a cheap hotel…don’t have high expectations. It was clean and checkin was fast and easy. Bed was fine, everything worked. If you are expecting a nice hotel, you will be disappointed. If you just need a room while you blow all your money at Disney, this works. Also, if you are planning to walk to Disney it is 1 mile each way. Uber is $10, bus is $4…walking cost 20min each way.

2022-05-18It wasn’t bad at all. it was sketchy and the parking was small but The room was cute. i slept well. the only thing is that it’s pretty hot inside the room but i would stay again. It’s a nice room with no huge defects.

2022-03-21Positive: Easy walk to Disney, staff were very friendly. Negative: Room could have been cleaner, there were cobwebs in every corner and the walls were dirty. The room overall was nice but dated.

2021-12-15Pros:-location was close to Disneyland-staff were kind-heater and ac worked fine but pretty noisy-Bed was comfortableCons:-bed sheets on both beds were stained-towels were stained and there was only one washcloth. When we asked for more towels AND washcloths the next night, we were only given two bath towels.-bathroom reeked of mold-bathroom doorway had brown markings which looked like feces-sink did not have warm/hot water unless it was runny for approx. 10 minutes-wall lamp did not work-our room card key did not work at all when we had returned from Disneyland, around 11pm. My fiance had to walk down to the office 3 times until she finally came up to our room. She could not get our room door open so maintenance had to be called which took about 30/35 minutes. The front desk staff was kind enough to let us wait in another open room but the entire situation was so inconvenient and irritating especially after walking around Disneyland all day long.

2022-06-04I highly recommend spending the extra money for a different hotel. There was hairs on our bed when we got there and in the bed. The room had clearly not been cleaned. When we asked for new bedding, the front desk lady left us waiting for 30 minutes and we had to ask her again. The service was not good at all. I felt gross the whole time I was staying there. The beds were also so uncomfortable. Next time, I will definitley be staying somewhere else.

2021-10-25Got a 2 queen room. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The beds squeaked with every movement. The TV was too small and was only facing one of the queen sized beds. The remote only sometimes worked if you pressed REALLY hard on the buttons. The shower head was too low for the tall people in our group (5,11 and 6,2). The only coffee provided in the room was decaf. The coffee pot looked gross as if it was not cleaned. At all. There was hard water build up at the bottom of the pot.We asked for additional pillows (you only get 2 pillows per bed, for our queen sized beds), the front desk said they would have some delivered, never got them.It was very noisy though, I think thats more just a problem with location. But the front doors should be replaced because someone speaking at normal volume could be heard perfectly from the other side.On the bright side you could hear and see the fireworks from Disneyland, if you were on the top floor. For the price of the hotel I guess it isnt too bad, but would recommend to pay a little more for a nicer place.

2022-01-31This hotel was terrible. The beds were uncomfortable and the only house keeping done the week we were there was new towels each morning and they felt like sand paper. None of the outlets would actually hold any plugs. We were lucky to get parking when we got back each night and half of the parking spots are very difficult to get into. The rooms were not updated at all or look like the pictures that are shown.

2022-03-31I would not recommend staying here. Checked into the room 101, staff was friendly and polite, no problem with that. The hotel was 25 mins walking distance from Disneyland which wasn’t horrible. We walked into the room and it reeked of mold, we had Lysol’d everything and used fabreeze constantly to try and get rid of the smell but nothing had worked. The sheets were dirty, the coffee cups had hair in them, mold in the bathroom and sink, there was only one outlet by the sink and none by the bed. The towels were stained, dirty, and rough. The mold had given me a sore throat and a runny nose and wasn’t able to fully enjoy my trip. It was also hard to get parking because it was limited And in a small lot. The entire facility needs to be completely renovated because this is a health hazard.
