The owners are good people, no doubt. If theres an issue, they know how to resolve it. The location is safe, clean, and conveniently centralized, within walking distance to Knotts, Walmart, banks, laundromat, restaurants, etc. Practically every hotel in the area has to deal with a thousand different issues; dont focus on exaggerated posts that turn an ant into a three ton cockroach. This is a peaceful and lowkey place to rest. There is light remodeling happening during the day. The cost does not fluctuate and far exceeds the value, compared to any other hotel in the area. Rooms are equipped with a medium size mini-fridge, A/C and heater,, microwave, desk, chair, large dresser, TV, soaps, towels, private shower/toilet room, large bathroom counter, and a professional down to earth family as property managers.
Owners are great and this could be a great motel with a little TLC. The good things: there is a working refrigerator and very small microwave in room, beds and pillows are adequately comfortable, owners are very nice family who accommodated our small requests (providing more towels and hair dryer---may have been the owners?---and giving us 3 plastic baggies and 3 plastic spoons).Although room 214 was clean, several things needed repair: Toilet paper holder in bathroom is detached and falling off wall, hole in wall behind towel rack, sink vanity coming off wall, furniture is old, scratched and torn, walls need new paint, and room smelled like pot. Also, no anti-skid in tub and my son & I both slipped and nearly fell while showering.Other not-so-great things: shampoo / conditioner is provided in 2 very small packets containing about 1.5 tablespoons each. The towels and washcloths are very rough and towels are very small---child-size. Plastic cups are very flimsy and nearly fell over a couple of times with liquid inside. Need to ask for hairdryer. Also, we got in about 9 p.m. and just wanted to shower, use the toilet, and go to bed. Unfortunately, plumbing issues had water shut off to entire facility. This persisted for nearly two hours. Owner/wife was very apologetic and nice. This wasnt their fault, and mediocre review isnt based on this, though it was inconvenient.
The staff is the best here. Very nice and friendly. Ive stayed here two weeks and plan on only staying in this motel every time I come to knotts or Disneyland! They are close by and the rooms are clean and smell good. The non smoking rooms actually smell good not like cigarette. Way better than the Dixie which I also stayed there prior to my stay at the Lodge. Keep up the great work! Very happy customer. Everyone should try it out. Best prices too!!!
We normally stay at one of the bigger named hotels directly across the street from Disneyland, prices normally around $175 a night. This trip needing to be as cost efficient as possible, so we took a chance and booked a 2 night stay at Anaheim Lodge where we would be saving around $75 per night. Although, prepared to get what we pay for, we were pleasantly surprised! It appeared to be family run and operated. The owner was incredibly attentive and helpful and super nice. The area was questionable at first glance but the neighborhood was very quiet and although, there did seem to be some extended stay people on the premises, there were zero noise incidences coming from either inside or outside. Although, not without visable signs of wear and tear, the room was very clean and for the most part visually appealing. Wifi connection was spotty and the toilet placement (difficult to use with the bathroom door shut) were the only things we had any issue with. Otherwise, we were very pleased. Even the mattresses that were obviously very low end, ended up providing a very good nights sleep. A/C worked wonderfully! Cable TV was great! Shower had low water pressure, but got hot right away. We ended up extending our stay by a night and we were able to stay in the same room with zero problems. Disneyland is about a 15 minute drive from this hotel and no freeway driving was required to get to the park, which was nice. I know that you get what you pay for and we were totally prepared to be disappointed when we booked our room. However, we found a great place to stay for almost half the price that we were used to paying and we have no regrets! We will definitely stay at Anaheim Lodge in the future.
Okay I got some good news and bad news about this place. My husband and I stayed there for four days for Disneyland. The staff is very friendly and the location is fantastic! However, our room was not as clean as the other reviews, the walls and door were completely filthy and the lampshades were broken. We requested no house keeping on a specific day and got housekeeping that day, and then the days we really needed it they never showed up. Our fridge stopped working the second night, we notified the staff and they said they would replace it, however that was never done. You get what you pay for, and honestly I wasnt expecting much from this place.
We got this place because every hotel across from Disneyland was booked and this wasnt too far, wasnt expensive and didnt require a two night minimum. The room was decent, spacious, came with a mini fridge and microwave and a couple toiletries. We liked the cable TV (they advertise HBO) because the kids could watch the Disney channel cartoons in the morning. The man at the front desk was very nice and courteous but the 3 star rating is because the drain in the shower was clogged and extremely slow moving. It took more than 5 minutes after a shower to completely drain. And it didnt come with a coffee machine; this was disappointing. Would not stay here again.
Definitely an active establishment ya feel me... all you need to find in a moe.moe the manager is chill and then theres times when he takes his job way to seriously as well.. make sure you hoop your goods tho because you may get harassed when your leaving by the one time aka anacrimes grimey-est the APD.... they are the best(at harassment, profiling, blowing things out of purportion , abusing their power, and like all cops wasting tax dollars) but then again its just north of beach and ball so if u know the spot then u know your risk if not and ur just hear to visit.... welcome to the Blvd! Ahaha
Friendly staff and simple check in and out. Outside is pretty dirty and the former pool is under major construction but, the room I had itself was very good. Tables, chairs, bed, sink, spotless floor, A/C, microwave, mini fridge, large TV with many channels, dresser with drawers, good shower bath and toilet. No closet to hang things though. Keycard lock on door.
Im giving it three stars because the rooms themselves are actually pretty good. There was a weird hair ball on one of the pillows that kind of looked like a mixture of a cat hair ball and old man chest hair. Also the room walls are very thin. The people next to me were having normal level conversations and I could hear them pretty well in my room. The HBO is a nice touch and the I liked the shower. The beds are also pretty comfortable and the whole set up inside the rooms are good. The outside area is kind of funky but that doesnt really matter. The people who ran it are very sweet. Its not a bad place to stay! Normally I wouldnt mind thin walls but I brought my two year old daughter with me and it was hard for her to fall asleep with them.
The price was very good for being a 15 min walk to Disney land. The owner was nice and tried to get to know you. Even when I lost the key he didnt mind and was very nice about it, all around a simple place for a good price if you dont want to pay for parking at the park. The breakfast option that they posted might not appeal to everyone though since it is such a small selection
Absolutely horrific place. The pictures say everything you need to know. Dirty and bugs everywhere including spiders. The fridge smelled horrible. There were holes in the wall. There was food and bugs in the microwave. Sketchy area. It was so bad we immediately left and spend hundreds of dollars more to stay across from Disneyland. Do yourself a favor and just spend a bit more. This place is filthy.
Location was easy to find, rooms were fairly clean, but found a pincher bug in the bed when I woke up so that freaked me out too think I was sleeping with that in the bed. No hair dryer to begin with but all I had to do was ask the front desk, they were very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of hot water for the shower, fridge/freezer was not cold enough and that was evident by the melted ice cream left in the freezer by the previous guests.
After reading the reviews I thought this place was a deal. Not so much. The walls are paper thin where you can hear the TVs and people having conversations especially through the wall closest to the headboard on the bed. The bathroom and bed were somewhat clean. Free WiFi which was nice and the bed was fairly comfortable but it’s hard to sleep when you can hear conversations through the walls.
Didnt even stay the night! Walked in and the room was in need of serious repair. Holes were patched and not painted, door jam was broken to bathroom, remote was scotch taped, no rod to hang clothes, etc, etc. I immediately checked back out and still have not received my refund. I would not recommend anyone staying there until they renovate.
Wow this is a really nice place. The room is here clean has a high ceiling nicely painted beautiful bed the bathroom is within new tiles he has a leather chair witches like an office one, flat screen TV mirrors paintings I mean everything over all is great. I would recommend highly this place
We werent disappointed - you get what you pay for and we wanted a comfortable, inexpensive place to shower and sleep while here for 3 days (Disneyland). Its about a $12 Uber ride to Disneyland - sure beats parking, fighting traffic and all of that business, but the hotel was in a bit of a sketchy area, the internet was spotty at best and it wasnt 5 star clean. The rooms are nicely done, the beds and pillows are comfortable and the TV/channel setup is great. Cant beat it for $50 per night (for 4 of us!) But the rooms could use a deep cleaning (corners/doors/walls). Wed stay again for sure.
We stayed here one night in early Nov 2017. We chose this place based on the good reviews. I am not sure who wrote the reviews because they were very in accurate. The office staff was friendly and accommodating but the rooms needed help. The bathroom was the only clean part. Upon first look the room looked clean but when I sat down on the bed I saw everything. The nightstand had splatters all over it. The chair had white stuff all over it. The furniture was all nicked up. There were drip marks on the refrigerator. The lampshade was caked in dust. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The baseboards were dirty. The place just needed to be cleaned. Cleanliness is the number one criteria I go for on a review and the reviews said it was clean. So not the case. I took pictures to prove our experience. We will not stay at this motel again, nor any near this location. There is a brothel nearby so you can guess what you see right down the street.
When we first arrived, the room we were given had not been cleaned yet, but after speaking to the manager, we were put in a freshly cleaned room. Unfortunately the toilet in this room would not flush, but yet again, the manager was extremely accommodating in fixing the problem. We didnt have any other problems after that. The lodge is very centrally located so we were within walking distance of everything we needed. Overall great stay.
Walked into our room and walked immediately out, there were holes in the chairs, stains on the curtains and mattress, there was hair on the pillows, there were dents in on the mini refrigerator and some weird black stuff inside the refrigerator, the floor was extremely sticky. Also they don’t refund you, my advice just don’t come here. There’s plenty of other hotels along this road.
Such an amazing hotel! Staff are so nice and very friendly! The hotel may not seem grand or anything but the rooms are super nice. The bathroom is really updated and beautiful. It was our first hotel experience and it surpassed our expectations. Its close to everything we needed. Its only five miles from Disneyland!
Very nice and affordable and super close to Disneyland. My fiancé and I stayed there for 3 nights and we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was welcoming and all the rooms appliances were sufficient. I fully recommend staying here and I will be booking here for my next Disneyland trip.
Room was recently refurbished, so it was clean looking. The laminate floor made it so you could walk on it with bare feet without getting dirty black feet. However, we had no desk, drawers, chairs, place to hang clothes, etc. There also was no do not disturb signs provided. Some guests appeared to be living there and were loud and their smoking leaked into the room. Overall it was just okay.
The outside looks a little janky but when we got into our rooms we were happy about how clean it was and looks very new. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. 15 minutes to Disney! Overall very happy with the place, especially considering the price. Thumbs up!
Very scary place to stay. We did not get room service everyday. Asked for clean towels because they never cleaned our room then we never got the towels. It looked like a drug deal was happing every night in the parking lot. Lots of homeless people hanging around in the parking lot. They have random stuff laying around the parking lot too like shopping carts office chairs and such. Also a huge dumpy RV was hanging around for awhile. And kids were playing in the pool and the pool was green! There were at least 5 cats living here, I was afraid we’d accidentally run one over. And lastly a few family’s were definitely living in these hotel rooms and they were soooo ghetto. Horrible service and area. Next time we will just pay extra to stay closer to Disneyland.
Clean rooms, low cost. TINY pool...more like an oversized hottub. We stayed here because it was close to Disney, so it worked for our family. The rooms all have microwaves and refrigerators, so that was nice for fruit/snacks in the morning. Not really in walking distance to anything, but has ample parking, and friendly staff.
The owner appeared to be super nice, but the facilities are not the greatest. The pool is about the size of a large hot tub and wasnt very clean, there were exposed wires and cables from the outlets, we found various species of beetles in the room, the whole facility smelled of cats (their website says no pets & their front desk had a sign for no pets, but we saw in the window of one of the long-term guests units 4-5 cats, with many other cats outside the unit. When pressed the owner said they were pet friendly which was confirmed by another guest leaching their room with a dog.), many other dirty and run down items in the room. Like other reviews have mentioned price may be good, but be wary. My family was not able to sleep well. Rating is based on cleanliness and how well kept are the facilities along with experience. Saw online they charge $50-60/night, we were charged $80/night.
The property manager/front desk was the best. He was an amazing guy that wanted to help and make sure we were accommodated. He alone is the reason why I enjoyed my stay. We drove up from San Jose in the middle of the night and made a last minute reservation for a room. We arrived way before our check out time but we were exhausted and wanted to sleep. He made efforts to get us checked in earlier so we could get the rest we deserved. Thanks again.
Honestly this is a wonderful little hotel. They are in the process of remodeling for the better, the staff was wonderful, and the rooms were clean, quiet and hands down the best price if you want to be down the street from Disneyland without spending a fortune. Would absolutely stay again.
I would honestly give this place a 0 but it doesnt allow me to. Please save yourselves the hassle and the stress and DO NOT book a room here. My wife and were going to Los Angeles for the first time and saw this hotel on Expedia and it looked nice and for a good price. We decided to book it as it was close to Disneyland. We got there to check it and the office smelled horrible. It smelled like Indian food. I have nothing against Indian food but if youre running a business then at least make it smell nice and not like you just walked into someones home. It literally smelled like they had their living room and kitchen in the back by the office and we were interrupting their meal. We got our key and proceeded to our room. The room was horrible! There was a huge stain on the bed underneath the comforter and it wasnt the only one. We then noticed splash marks on the dresser and the bathroom as even worse. It looked as though nobody had cleaned the toilet in months! We decided to not stay there as it was seriously in nasty conditions. I told the manager at the office what condition our room was in and he didnt even argue which just tells you that they know exactly what condition the rooms are in! They know they have a disgusting hotel. Just please do yourselves a favor and spend a bit extra on your hotel if you really desire sleeping in a clean hotel room. The pictures on the websites are nothing like what youll find in real life when you open your hotel room door. Very disappointed that these owners dont appreciate clean rooms.
HORRRRIBLE!!! Should be ZERO stars but it wont let me do that!! There were rats and the room was incredibly dirty. The neighborhood is incredibly unsafe. When I told Danny, the hotel manager, about the rats in the room, he laughed and said he already had them exterminated. I would seriously save your money and go to the Sahara Inn next door! There were blood stains in the sheets and overall, it was just a horrible horrible experience. I legit have never been to a worse motel. YES ITS A MOTEL. The water was extremely cold. The lock on the door didnt even work! My wife and I took turns staying up in the night to make sure nobody would come into the room.
I got a great deal online and the price I paid was final. No hidden fees and no outrageous deposit. When I arrived late in the night, I was still greeted and quickly checked in. The room was clean with a fresh hip look to it. The walls are a bit thin but other than that, I would go back. In addition, its right off the freeway and near so many local attractions. Affordable and a sure thing. I recommend it.
Stayed here to get a place for the nights I got back from Disneyland (only 10min drive). It has laminated wood like floor and tile floors in the bathroom. You can hear the traffic outside but not to bad that u can’t sleep. The walls are not paper thin like most lodges (meaning u can hear other people in there rooms). You get a microwave and refrigerator in your room. I would totally stay here again.
The anaheim lodge has come a long way from a few years back. The rooms were renovated and are still in decent condition. Definitely cut back on the criminal and drug activity in a big way nothing like it used to be. Several people stay here and call the lodge their home manage to keep the rooms clean and nice as if it were an actual place to live and that I think has helped keep the place nice so thank you to all of those people. There is not much crime happening and I felt totally safe being here and foundThat most people staying here were kind helpful and itWas a good overall vibe. Would reccomend for a cheaper spur of the moment kind of stay.
Not a bad place. We stayed a couple nights. Low prices attract the usual shady crowd, but police pulls through the parking lot every once in a while in a reassuring way. Beds are a little on the soft side, but then again they do seem to see a lot of action - guy next door ordered a different assortment of hookers every night, them smoking in the doorway along with their cheap perfume mixed to create that lovely cheap motel smell. Cleanliness is about what youd expect (of the rooms, not of the hookers), I killed a couple cockroaches as a service to the next guest. New fridge and microwave in the room. Wifi very spotty, fails every other minute, and no proper mobile reception (Verizon). Friendly management.
I originally planned to stay at Anaheim for one night but ended up staying 4 when my stay in LA was extended. I had a nice stay here during my first booking. The place is really clean compared to other similar lodges I have stayed at earlier. Wi-Fi is good although not the best. The bed, bathroom and everything else was well maintained. The place was quiet enough but still right off a main street with easy access to various restaurants and services.Special mention to Danny who manages the place. Very friendly guy. When after checking out I came back the same evening, Danny found me a room of my convenience in spite of being almost sold out. He found me a room on the first floor so my mom wouldnt have to climb the stairs and helped me with local directions etc. Ended up staying here for 4 days. Next time Im in the neighborhood Ill be staying here again. Definitely recommend staying here.
First off, this motel is obviously not the nicest hotel in the Anaheim area but it is probably ran by one of the nicest guys I have met. There are very few people that have as much class and character as Danny (the manager). My girlfriend I went down to visit the parks and chose to stay in this motel because of the great deal but we were worried about the location and were not sure of how nice the rooms were going to be. Danny could tell we were uneasy about the stay so he took us around to a few rooms before and let us choose which room we wanted. He set us up with a newly renovated room in front of a security camera and he also gave me his office number and his cell number just in case at any point we might have felt unsafe. Honestly these were totally uneccasary precocious that he made for us but they really made us feel comfortable. The trip went great, there was not a single point were I felt unsafe. The location is really close to Disney Land and only about a 15 minute drive to the beach. If you are looking to stay in a fancy hotel this is not the place for you but if you want to stay somewhere that is nice, cheap, and you want to have a great vacation while being treated with great customer service. Give Danny and the Anaheim Lodge a shot.
Checked in to this place because of the close proximity to disney. I was completely disgusted by the condition of the rooms. First room i checked in too had a very strange stain on the sheets and what looked line pubic hair. I brought it up to tge manager and he was nice about it he gave me a different room. Unfortunately the second room was in far worse shape. That being said I was able to get a full refund.
I received a large room with a kings size bed, a shower, a fridge, and a working television (it has a lot of Korean channels also for anyone who likes K-drama LoL). The room is spotless and very clean. The owners work very hard to make sure everything in their motel has proper arrangements.A room like that Costa around $100+ but I got it for $52 plus tax (which made the total cost roughly $60). The receptionists are also amazing.
I decided to go to Disneyland for my birthday this year and it was amazing... this locating is fairly close by and also close to other locations such as a couple of fast foods restaurants and a couple of grocery stores... it is not to crowded and very well kept. The rooms are great as well. Will be staying here again at my next visit... thank you Anaheim Lodge 😄
My socks stuck to the sticky wood floor. The rooms smelled funny. Our first night there, we went to Disneyland. When we were coming back, there were dirty men digging in the dumpster and firing bottle rockets. At 11 PM!! No hanger locks on the door. Just a dead bolt. Our next day there, we spent all day at Disneyland. Returned to the hotel around 12:30 AM and again, in the parking lot, we saw what seemed to be a hooker/prostitute paying her client. Did not feel safe or sanitary so we will not be returning here. The staff is polite, but could do a way better job on upkeep and keeping the weirdos off of their property.
This place must get the good reviews from crack heads, that all there was here. I would not recommend this place. I booked 2 night because the reviews were good and the price was cheap. Big mistake. There were guys up all night in the room next to us and above us. People hanging out outside drinking and smoking. The room was horrible. The room next to us had 2 cats with them and let them loose all night. This place is a disaster. One star is because I had to.
This was one of my favorite hotels, but this last trip was bad. People argued about some stupid phone, cleaning only came once the whole week I was there when I asked for more then 3 days. And the people next to me and above me were living there. To me thats not a hotel. After this trip Im finding a new place to stay at for sure
My boyfriend and my son just stayed here over the weekend to go to Knotts and Disneyland. The room was very clean the beds were comfortable and it is close to everything in Anaheim. The manager Danny is super nice and has Excellent customer service. I would recommend this place to anyone who is going to Disneyland or one of the theme parks down there. I have stayed here twice already and I will definitely keep coming back. Just came back over NYE 2018-2019 weekend for Disney I absolutely love this place. I will continue to always come back!!
Would never stay again. Room had overwhelming perfume/air freshener smell. Furnishings and bed all old and worn. Tiny pool, maybe 12x12 with a dumpster right next to it. The parking lot was sketchy, police patrolled. Lobby smelled. No ice machine. Poor amenities. Old scratchy towels.
My family and I rented our room at the Anaheim Lodge because of its close proximity to Disneyland. Overall, we had a good 2 night stay. However, the bed and pillows werent super comfortable. Also, it was a pretty bland experience. But, considering we just needed somewhere to sleep, it was fine.
The staff were super friendly. The location is good if youre visiting Knotts, its walkable at around 20 to 30 minutes. They were amazingly accommodating when we arrived early. Only negatives are its a bit on the old side, theres no many food options nearby and you can hear people walking on the floor boards in the upstairs.
Anaheim lodge has the friendliest staff of any hotel, motel, or inn! 5+ star customer service and the rooms are large, always clean, and ether new or newly remodeled in a modern style. Fridge and microwave! Also, coming soon, a pool! My favorite place to stay without contest.
The Anaheim Lodge is the smartest place you could stay at. The husband and wife team that own the place are the kindest business people in the Anaheim Motel area. The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds are comfortable and the linen is fresh and clean. There is plenty of on site free parking, wifi, basic and premium channels for your enjoyment. Dont forget to enjoy the sparkling swimming pool available all year round. I highly recommend this place.
Beds were DISGUSTING. We booked two beds expecting others to come along, they couldnt make it and my sheer dumb luck we slept in the bed that hadnt been peed in several times. Of course after being at theme parks all day we were exhausted when we came in to room and didnt notice until next morning. Told front desk, was told owners would be notified and theyd be in touch. Havent heard anything.UPDATE. Hotel never called and when I called them they refused to do anything. Currently disputing charges on my card.
First of all the place looks sketchy as heck, and the man who works there literally wanted to double charge me just so I can have visitors in my room where I paid he literally wanted to charge me $15 so friends can stay and eat inside the motel for 20 mins honey this is not the Hilton or the four season hotel. He also said that I wasn’t going to find anyplace cheaper compared to his motel jokes on him I saved more because I didn’t have to pay the motel we got a refund and left and will not return EVER!!!!! And the pool area looked disgusting!!
Called to late them know of a late check in, and they said no problem, take your time. By 11pm, even after calling a second time to insure we had our room still, we get to the lodge, and they cancelled our reservation, citing that my credit card was declined, but never told me otherwise until I had got there. The front desk staff at night was beyond rude and disrespectful, and even though they had vacancies, they would not let me book a new reservation, and pretty much treated me like scum of the earth. This, along with many of these scuzzy motels along Beach Blvd, I would not recommend at all!!
Me, my husband and our 2 year old stayed here. We had a really great experience. I wasnt expecting much because it was a motel I had never heard of but took a chance since we were booking completely last minute. My husband was doing some military schooling during the day in Los alamitos it was only about a 15 minute drive there. The owners are really nice, helpful and very accommodating. We actually only booked for 2 nights through orbitz and then ended up extending our stay for 3 more nights :) we stayed in a double queen room. There was a microwave, mini fridge, lots of lighting, a tv, free WiFi, a pool. The beds were comfgortable too and the motel was clean :) we will stay here again for sure!! Its so affordable and close to lots of restaurants, Knotts berry farm, and more and long beach is only about a 30 minute drive or so
The only good part about this hotel was; the service and it was sort of clean. The area is terrible and very sketchy, and the walls are paper thin. If you can book a hotel somewhere else, do it. You get what you pay for! P.S. THE OWNERS ARE GREAT! I highly recommend hanging out with them... just somewhere else;)
I stayed here on my honeymoon and it was amazing how great this place was. Ive stayed at double trees, comfort inn and at many other good hotels and I gotta say this place was so well put together, clean and affordable. The location is close to Disneyland, various stores and an In and Out!!I will definitely be staying here again when I come to Anaheim. My name is Joseph and I approve this place!
This is our go to hotel when we come to Anaheim to visit the Disneyland parks. It is very affordable, and the staff here are extremely friendly. Its about 10 to 15 minutes from the parks, depending on traffic. It is a very basic room (bed with nightstands, a desk and chair, TV, fridge and microwave, and bathroom) but for the price you cant beat it. We only really stay in the room to sleep, otherwise we are out and about around town or in the parks. The owner is wonderful, on our last visit he even ran out and flagged me down as I was walking to the car to ask if we needed anything and how our room was. He even remembered what room we were in just by seeing me. On one of our visits, he was kind enough to let me ship something I needed to the hotel ahead of time from Amazon, and he held it for me until we got there. We will always come back to the Anaheim Lodge when we come down to Anaheim!
The price was alright for everything else in the area. But the area is kind of bad. Seems to have a lot of people on parole at this place lots of gang member looking etc. But they did not seem to bother us during our last stay. The hotel is self is kinda ehh but the price for anything else in the area is good.
We stay here each time in area. This time, there was no room on first floor. I booked it four weeks in advance. The only room on first floor was ten dollars higher than when I booked. Being disabled, cant climb stairs, so I had to pay more. Room was nice. Slept well, hot shower. Ok!
Absolutely disgusting hotel. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. The bed was disgusting the floors where absolutely filthy, the bed had blood and pee on it as well as brown dirty stains as well as BED BUGS! I took pictures of hotel room as well as my bed bug bites to show the filth I was then later held financially responsible for the room despite its condition. After checking into the room not even 20min later I notified the staff as well as Danny (the owner) of the condition of the room. There was no remorse, they simply replied “if your trying to get a refund I will not be refunding you based on the condition of the room.” After paying $120 dollars for a room I could not even sleep in IS A COMPLETE JOKE AND HORRIBLE SERVICE. I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE! Complete TRASH AND FILTH!
Currently checking out of here right now, upon arrival it seemed like a very nice place the rooms were well kept and it did not seem like a tweaker motel. Then I met the manager. Friend of mine was dropping me off after we got lunch and asked if he could come inside to use bathroom, not even 2 minutes after he got in the room the manager who is very creepy looking maybe 5 ft tall and looked like a gremlin, came banging on our door and started screaming at us about not having visitors. I tried to explain he was just using the bathroom but the manager kept on yelling and being rude. After that at least once every hour he would come and enter room unannounced just to see if there was anyone else in room. Requested late check out and was told thats ok and to be out by noon, them at 1115 he came barging into room again screaming and shouting about how he changed his mind. Manager is the main flaw of this place
Found it last minute, had ropm, affordable price and very nice rooms. The staff was friendly and accomodating, giving us a second key with no problem after we locked the first one in the room in a matter of minutes. Room was clean and had a comfortable king size bed and the bathropm was clean. Definitely recommend.
This place smells like cat urine. They say no pets allowed yet a unit on the main floor has multiple cats live inside with a resident that stays there. There were holes in the walls. Food on the head board. And bugs under the fridge. We planned on a 3 day stay and left quickly after one night. We should have left before that.
Its ok here. They have tried remodeling it and for the most part everything looks ok. There are marks on the wall or little spots that are missing paint. The bed sheets look old. Which I dont care cause I bring my own sheets and just sleep on top of there bed. Lol they do have a mini fridge but freezer part was covered in ice from the mini fridge
Very clean rooms which you can tell have been worked on which was a plus and the manager was very helpful and nice when we needed things. This is my second visit and not my last love everything about this place anytime manager sees you says hi how are you is everything ok? And all cant wait for my next vacation
They are desperately trying to fix this place up, and I dont think its ready to be opened up to rent out. There was no elevator whatsoever, which Im sure is a violation of ADA. There was also no sidewalk. Instead, there was a mud pathway leading up to the crooked stairs. I think that is because they are redoing the sidewalk, but if so they should work when there is low vacancy, or not open the lodge yet, because the workers were jackhammering away at the concrete right outside our room until about 6pm.The interior of the room is the only reason it has more stars. The beds were comfy and even everything looked refurbished and updated. However, the water pressure in the shower was pitiful, and the maids didnt really bother to fold the towels or anything.
Good to stay with Family. Big rooms and good internal amenities. Staff is very nice and supportive.Only problem was wifi. When inquired got know there was some technical problem. My bad, all 3 nights I stayed , wifi did not worked at all. It would be great to have coffee maker inside room and morning breakfast available at hotel...!
Needs some real maintenance, and a paint job. It was nice that they upgraded the flooring, removing carpet and installing vynil. Now I can hear every single step the people upstairs take. Lol , not too mention they where banging and had a darn squeeky matress. Luckily they only lasted 10 minutes.. lol
This was a perfect alternative to the mega coin that Disney hotels charge. Clean, good area, and friendly staff- we almost stayed another night! Close to food and attraction options. If you are looking for Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm hotel accommodations that dont cost an arm and a leg for quality, I would highly reccomend the Anaheim Lodge.
Stayed here for our trips to Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and Universal Studios. Really comfortable rooms with great check in service! Make sure to book online, we got 50% off by doing so.Be aware there isnt breakfast or Disneyland shuttle, however the Disneylans park is 10 minutes down the street, Knotts is 3 minutes away and Universal was about 45 mins.

2022-01-11I wanted to like this place, but it was impossible to. The owners are really nice, but the hotel is very dirty. I read some reviews about there being suspicious people on the premises as well as reviews about the unacceptable cleanliness of the hotel, but I figured it couldnt be that bad. It was. Upon arriving I wasnt too pleased with the amount of trash and trash bags in the parking lot, along with a general uneasy vibe, but I decided to still check in to my already booked room.Ive never had to leave a room after already paying, but theres always a first for everything. The bed sheets were very obviously not washed, with both having big dirt stains. The front door was covered in dirt as well as our window screen being broken. On top of everything I found cockroaches in the rest room. The rest of the room wasnt in the best shape neither. The owners refused to give me my full refund back, so Im out $70 so dollars, but it really wasnt worth it to me to stay in the place. We checked into the Days Inn across street for only around $15 more a night.

2022-05-12Beware rooms on website are not the same rooms that are being rented. Very dirty, smells horrible, no soap, no shampoo nothing as a curiosity.Owners really nice, office was extremely dirty. We did not stay, the smell was extremely strong. On top of all the we were advised of a refund. Going on over month no refund at this point. They well not even take the call. Made reservations on Price Line that goes thru booking a day still they can not issue refund.Just such a loss.

2022-05-12Management is nothing short of the best you could hope for when looking to have a respectful get-away. I felt like Ive known this establishment for years. I highly recommend Anaheim Lodge if your experience is a high priority. I plan to stay here again!

2022-04-24Place isn’t the best. My wife and I stayed here on a last minute trip to LA and we were very surprised with the room and the noise. Room smelled musty! There wasn’t even a trash can in the room let alone wash cloths. Pillow had stains on it. The noise level and night and activity went on all night. Music was loud several times during the evening and that went on past 3 AM. People back their vehicle in taking two parkings so no one can park next to them. Some one was locked out of their room and was pounding on the door for their boyfriend or husband to please let them in. There’s a paper saying guests must follow general rules but I guess the noise level isn’t one of them. Will never stay again nor recommend this place to anyone. If I could put negative “stars” I would.

2022-06-11The staff were great, easy checkin with an iPad at the counter. The Parking lot is very well lit, especially nice for a big city like Buena Park. I will come again for the reasonable price, and easy check in.

2022-06-13Positive: The Price was very fair, for being so close to Knotts Berry Farm and Disneyland. Negative: Some luxury things like ice cost from the machine, but are you sleeping over and visiting the parks or are trying to live here.
