I hadnt been to the movies in Years. The huge reclining sests are crazy! - bought tickets ahead with assigned seating and it was very easy to check in, get concessions and find our seats. Everything is very clean and spaced out. Theater staff did a very nice job at making an enjoyable experience.
This was a great experience. I really enjoyed the size of the theatre, it was about 50 seats in the theatre. The seats made the whole experience. They leaned back and there is a center armrest that can go up and down. The popcorn and soda were on par.Cons: the seat was not super clean looking. I am 64 so I was a little tall for the seat back to be totally comfortable but I already recognize it can not fit all sizes of people.I now feel that this setup of seating is the only way to see a movie. The cost was only slightly more than other theaters. Well worth it.
Staff friendly/helpful speacialy the team leader 🤙🤙🤙He helped a lady on a wheel chair to clean up her chair and legs because she stilled her drink on her self ...she couldnt reach the soda machine but what the team leader did is what I wouldnt imagine he would do...he had cleaning towels wiped her legs and chair which he didnt have too...
Not bad! Its clean, has a nice drink fountain and concession area, and comfortable reclining seats. Although I was reclined in the very last row, nobodys head was obstructing my view. My only complaint was that it was unusually cold. Need a blanket or something to keep warm in there.
This place was nice. First time going to San Diego and the theater was nice. It was on the top floor and the escalator as a fun way to get there. Went to go see Den of Thieves and it was a fantastic movie. The seats recline. Ita comfortable and it even has a bar. They have a nice selection of snacks and theyre not half bad.
This is going to be our new favorite place to watch movies!! Thank you to whoever thought up reclining seats!!!! The service was more than superb. I cant think of a better word to describe the excellence of someone who says to meunfortunately, were out of popcorn right now. We need to pop more. However, I can bring it to you when its done. Thank you to that very nice young man.
I was very disappointed with the safety protocol for Covid-19. There is no social distance and people clearly sick were admitted. We sat next to a person who was clearly sick of a type of cold who knows it could be Covid-19. She was coughing a lot and she was not wearing a mask. For those who have been there knows that sits are very close. She was coughing in our faces. We couldnt stay it was too annoying. The theater should closely monitor people with symptoms to prevent spread and it will be safer to everyone. Im never going back to any AMC theater.
The theater was fine. Reclining chairs make this cinema a fave. The issue was with the website, which would not allow me to buy tickets. Also, the tickets which my wife was attempting to buy online from home showed as available in the theater. So, minus one star for an e-commerce fail.
It was so nice to have a normal Saturday trip to the movies, and today was an AMC theater. Very few fellow movie goers were in the movie I went to. Easy to buy a ticket in the lobby, and I really enjoyed a no wait situation at concessions,I believe this was a first :D Everything was clean, and all the folks I saw were wearing mask, and behaving socially. Happy to go again next week!
This was my worst experience at an AMC. The theater was freezing cold. It had to have been at least 48 to 50 degrees. I couldnt even enjoy the movie and when I spoke to the manager regarding it their answer was there was nothing they could do! The theater was also dirty and staff seemed super unengaged and unhelpful. I normally dont write reviews or complain with this place was a joke. They really need to work on better management.
Never had a problem with staff or the food quality here. In fact, the staff is very nice. I remember someone in our seats, we grabbed a staff member and they helped the people scurry out of our seat. I love the recliner chairs! Nothing beats soft chairs reclined back enjoying a good movie and some good popcorn after a weeks of work. My go to spot on the routine.
The person making drinks: May 31,2021– 12:00pm— He did not know how to make a Long Island— please train your bar workers— The drink was $16.99 that’s pretty steep for someone who has no clue. Also, restock your bar— he tried pouring grey goose and the bottle was empty— so he had to use something else. Overall, the drink was mostly soda— sadly!! The safest bet is to just order a beer— which I original was going to do. But he tried selling me a beer he already had poured; after a new keg was installed. It made no sense to pay for a beer that’s been poured before I even ordered it. Definitely check the cameras—
Visiting family and decided to go to the movie. The staff was friendly and helpful.I liked the soda machines because I decide how much ice to put and which of the dozens of combinations to choose from, but I was disappointed they didnt put butter on the popcorn for you. Having the ability to add your own butter after they do it initially would be better. When they put butter for you they can add butter mid-bucket to get the lower half, fill the bucket, then add more on the top for a more consistent buttery popcorn. If I get a large bucket and have to butter it myself the top tends to have too much butter and the bottom hardly any at all.The chairs are nice and comfortable, possibly leather, very soft and they recline very far back, however my favorite theater at home has similar chairs that also has a heater for your lower back. The heat helps relieve lower back pain and is very relaxing which allows you to enjoy the movie more. I was disappointed this theater does not have that capability.Overall 4 out of 5 stars
First time Ive been to an AMC theater. Are they all this awesome? Reclining comfortable seats, coke freestyle soda machines, a bar which Ill be getting a drink from next time instead of a soda, and a clean and quiet atmosphere. Only gripe was they didnt have salt packets, only salt shakers. So I had to put some salt into a napkin so I could put more on my popcorn halfway through the bucket.
I havent been to this theater since the Power Puff movie came out when my Daughter was just 2 years old in 2002. The movie theater was some other theater at the time and it was dirty then, but maybe even more this time. In fact it was the same theater number 2. How fitting. The staff did come clean it up after someone else complained. After all that and missing the start of the movie because our entire row was filthy. We could now enjoy those nice chairs and the great leg room and Aqua-Man was fantastic from start.Bottom line. If you want to enjoy the nice Pick your seat limousine movie lounge chairs, dont go to the Chula Vista mall AMC 10.For the price, its worth making the trip to the Plaza Bonita AMC.
This theater went through a remodel Maybe a year or two ago, it looks amazing inside now! They have couple recliners that lean all the way back And are super comfortable. You can reserve your seats online so you don’t have to worry if you’re a little bit late, and you can see what seats are available before you get there. They have a bar in the corner that serves a few drinks and a standard snack bar. Fun place and it’s never overcrowded.
I love going to the movies this one particular movie through their you select your own seats you reserve your own seats but one thing I dislike about when I went to the movies today the last 20 minutes of the movie the lights turned on and they stayed on totally interrupted the experience.
Steven is a bad manager. I was here doing Trailer checks. I Watch movie previews. He signed me in. I then asked for the auditorium for the 1 pm showing, he tells me #8. Well.... wrong theater bud. I go back to the front and ask which theater it supposed to be in heads up XM theater 7 about the Theater 8 is it true 45 Showtime. At this point Im annoyed at unprofessionalism she was in a hurry not paying attention to anything. Is there to watch the previews and then I leave I feel bad for my second showing at 1:45 and Im being questioned by people and theyre asking me for my ticket I was already there 45 minutes prior signed in and got signed off by a manager Steven. If I have a badge on Common Sense will tell you but Ive already talked to somebody and have been signed it why are you asking me for my ticket the manager has Im leaving Central seeds cracked like Im the one doing wrong acting like Im the problem but in fact the theater itself is 100% the problem very unprofessional I will never return here again
This is been the movie theater that I tend to go to when visiting theaters here in San Diego. The seats are comfortable and recline. Plus the weight for popcorn usually isnt that long. I try to buy the tickets beforehand on Fandango so that way I dont have to wait in line to buy them when I get there. I really do enjoy this movie theater however. The drinks are good and the popcorn is good. Also the theater is well kept
Reviewing theater and food here. Was hungry and didnt have time to grab something before the movie, so decided to eat at the theater. Lets say movie food has gotten a lot better than it used to be. I ordered the chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. The chicken tenders were lightly breaded and seasoned well great flavor and very juicy. The mozzarella sticks were great too. Not too breaded and the marinara sauce was tasty too.The theater was good. Liked the recliner seats, although they are more narrow than the recliners at AMC La Jolla 12.As for the clientele (local movie goers), have to say they sucked. On my right, the people were talking all through the trailers and some of the movie and on my left, the people were eating smelly foods. Cant help who shows up to these things, but I can say the people in La Jolla are better behaved (not raised by wolves).Overall, a nice theater.
My daughter and I go to the movies here almost every weekend. I like the fact that it is a smallish theater with assigned seating. They have bar if you so fancy a drink.. I really would go as far and say as I really like this place.. Now for the bad.. just recently they dramatically expanded their menu to real food and the ability to order your food ahead of time online.. Sounds good in Theory.. But now if you want to order food, popcorn, hot dog or anything the lines are ridiculously long and it takes forever to get anything because everybodys working on that online orders and the complicated food menu.. Last two weekends have missed the start of the movie🤬 waiting for a hot dog.
This is a great theater with nice big comfy reclining chairs. You can buy your tickets online at Fandango to reserve your seat so you dont have to be there 20 minutes before the show starts. Your ticket comes in an email to get you into the theater. Go to the early morning shows if possible, they are less expensive than evening show times. Get your popcorn and drink and enjoy the show. Only complaint is that the restrooms are pretty far away from the last theater if you have the need during the show.
Kind of small, the reclining seats are nice. Not enough bathrooms and they are up in the front entrance to the theater. The automated ticket machines do not work and even if you buy your tickets online, you still have to stand in a long line. I am a Premiere Stubs member and there is supposed to be a head of the line lane for this and they dont respect it. Overall the theater is nice but can get really crowded on Tuesdays.
I love using my AMC a list pass along with the AMC app to reserve my seats in advance at no charge. Not to mention The comfy reclining chairs at most of the AMC movie theaters. Havent been using my A-list pass as much lately but still get my moneys worth from the pass.
I love the reclining seats but the theater isnt what it used to be.. I went two nights in a row and each time it was really dirty. Floors so sticky, my seat was filled with food that I had to clean up before I could sit. I know most of the customers just leave their trash instead of throwing it away themselves but when you pay a high price for a movie I want to enjoy it clean .
Very nice clean, attractive facility with great leather reclining seats in every Theater. Staff is friendly and helpful. Its easy to find parking. Also, there are great places in the mall to enjoy a meal or appetizers. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because the cocktail bar doesnt open until 6pm so if youre there for a 4:30 or 5 oclock show you are out of luck. I suggest you get a Stubs card it will pay for itself if you visit AMC 4+ times during the year.
Nice theater with really good picture and sound, and the most comfortable seats (leather power recliners) in all of San Diego county. Reserved seating is standard for all 10 screens as well so once you buy your ticket you dont have to worry about trying to avoid a rush in order to get a seat. The concession stand has very good options, and they offer the Coke Freestyle machines so the variety of drinks available should be able to satisfy just about anyone. There is a bar inside the theater that serves beer, wine and mixed drinks, and youre able to take your drink into your screening room to enjoy. The staff has always been friendly and problems almost never happen, other than the escalator to the theater being broken on a fairly consistent basis, meaning you have to walk further down the mall in order to use the elevator, or even further to find the second set of escalators and a set of stairs if you choose. Overall, with the combo of reserved seating, COMFORTABLE recliners and great picture and sound this is my favorite theater to go to in San Diego County.
This theater is newly renovated, located in the Chula Vista Mall. The lobby is small but really nice. A great place to go to the movies. I love the option to be able to choose your own seat. Also the seats are really comfortable. Leather recliners; you press a button and adjust the seat how you like it. The sound is clear and the screen is clean.
The theater seats are comfortable. I have been to this theater several times. The only thing I dont like about this theater is that its always very cold. Its a bit hard to enjoy the movie unless you have a blanket with you. I guess it will be a while before I visit again.
The theater itself was nice and the food was a totally good. I bought two beers for $20 it was the Lagunitas IPA, not bad. But..... They never answer their phone and I lost my debit card there. They told me to call back at 8pm so they could check the theatre I was in and when I called, nobody answered. Thanks guys
I reserve my tickets on fandango so I can go in sit in a recliner have a cocktail and see my movie the day after it comes out LOL. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. It’s new it’s clean it’s a nice crowd it’s huge there’s a great assortment of movies all the time. I went to Plaza Bonita and it was sticky drab not even any good commercials old seating and no cocktails oh no. Not to mention the fact I didn’t want anybody sitting behind me not in that crowd Chula Vista AMC 10 is a perfect family movie theater.
I liked this movie theater a lot. Um cleanliness is a problem it was just chaos in my opinion. The premium line is a stupid add on we was in line first and the cashier skipped over us each time before we could order.the auditorium was clean and overall my experience was great and memorable.
Love the updated theater!!! Used to come here back in the day when they would show older movies for a cheaper price. The theater used to be running down/awful looking. Theyve upgraded to one of the most upscale theatres in the area. They serve great food along with their concessions and have a bar as well. Some theatres also have the recliner seats. I highly recommend seeing a movie here.
Much better than AMC In fashion valley and mission valley, this theatre has reclining seats! For the same price as the aforementioned theatres as well. Great experience overall. Assigned seating is a plus too. However, the lobby seems a little bit cramped when getting refreshments and buying tickets, so one may find themselves a bit claustrophobic upon entry
OMG the first time I walked into this place I was so surprised. Tickets at the window are $14 or $15 dollars for a standard movie for and adult, Ive heard Tuesdays they are like $7 dollars or something, but I havent had the time to go on a Tuesday. Dont let this price fool you its worth it. The seats in the theater are recliners - as in press a button and it reclines backward and your feet go up on a foot rest. As a result of these nice seats there are not as many seats available. So the prices are raised for 2 reasons: nice seats and fewer numbers. As with all theaters the prices of food is horrendous, but unlike some the portion sizes are for 2 people. One item on the menu is enough for 2 people to share and theyre soda machines are the same ones Jack-in-the-box has so thats a nice bonus, especially since its free refills as long as youre in the theater, the soda machines are self serve. Pick order your cup size at the register and pour your own drink. Although I have not yet had the pleasure of buying a drink there is also a bar where you can order alcoholic beverages. The only reason I have got giving this theater a 4 star rating instead of 5 is there bathroom. Being female Ive only been in one, but its not cleaned enough. I dont know if theres something wrong with the toilets, but some of them will have a wet area in front of them and thats nasty. Sometimes the seat covers will be all over the floors or multiple stalls will be out of toilet paper.Other than the bathroom I have no complaints about this theater and I highly recommend it.
They have reserved seating with powered recliner style seats. You can purchase tickets at the theater but I recommend buying through AMC or Fandango app for ease of access and convenience. Concessions are a bit over priced but this location does offer beer and cocktail selections which is nice. 2D and 3D films played here.
Quick service at the concessions counter and the bar. Pricing is a little high but nothing beats the experience of a 3D movie in a movie theater. The seats lean back and are comfortable for couples. If you have a larger party you will feel a little separated due to the seat chairs but nothing too big.
I never leave reviews for such trash, but holy momma and everyone I’ve ever known. The seats are so old I can smell World War Two when I sit down. They didn’t touch the theater between movies and the bathrooms hadn’t seen the day of light since the Great Depression. 10/10 don’t recommend.
This place is awesome. Reserved seating and recliner chairs without the Cinepolis expense. Sure, theres a time and a place for Cinepolis, but its far away. The tickets are around ten dollars each and I never thought I would say this, but the food prices dont seem as ridiculous as other movie theaters, but I could be wrong on that. Any size drink and you get free refills with the Coke mixing machine. Also I was shocked that the water cups were free.
AMC has done a good job of making sure everything runs seamlessly for a perfect movie going experience. Their app is easy to use to pre-order tickets. This theater has assigned seating and reclining chairs, as opposed to stadium seating. Picking out seats was a breeze. We also used another service to purchase tickets for the same showing because we had a deal to try them out. Their platform worked well together with AMC.When we arrived at the theater, we were greeted by an employee who scanned the QR codes on our phones, no need for ticket stubs (sorry--for those of you who collect your stubs, you can find your collection online if you are a member of AMCs stubz program). There was no wait in line when we went. The bathrooms and theater were very clean, both before and after our movie. The chairs were comfortable and functioned properly. We appreciated all the extra leg room, not having to worry about tall people blocking our view in front of us, and sore necks from craning our necks to see the film. The seating design solved all those problems. The sound and picture quality were what one would expect. Clear, and loud. The employees efficiently cleaned the theater as patrons left.I cant comment on the concessions because we skipped buying any on this visit.
Even with most of the screens being small this is now my favorite AMC to go watch movies at. The reserved seating is something I wish other AMC Theaters did also. The reclining seats are incredibly comfortable. They dont have iMax but do offer 3d movies and thats enough for me. The staff is always very helpful and nice. Only thing that might make this a 4 star theater is that CV mall doesnt have a food court like they used to. There are plenty of restaurants in the mall but nothing is allowed inside the theater the way Fashion Valley AMC allows.
It offers great service but the place just seems run down at times. Last time I went there was soda spilled on the floors and they ran out of ice in there machines so you had to personally shovel your ice into your drink and the seats while comfortable are starting to wear out from contsant rips and tears.
Horrible Experience!!! Went there on Fathers Day took my husband and Dad. Trash all over floor popcorn spilled over stairs soda station with dirty foot prints from not being cleaned Naomi’s on floor. Go to bathroom nasty dirty poop on seats Nasty! I also purshased 4 tickets for my son and his family to see the Incredibles At 230. Same thing Dirty! I spend close to 100.00 in tickets and regret every single ticket. I’ve been a stub member for years and usually go to the theater on palm but I wanted the men in my life to experience the theater movie style😡. Very Disappointing!! First appearance it’s most important and you left a bad one. And the worst thing is that I send AMC a complaint the same day June 17 2018. And still haven’t heard back..... So UnprofessionalRosalva Alvarez Dennis
I used to love coming here but thats all changed for the worse. AMC has advertised as having closed caption devices for the hearing impaired and Ive had nothing but horrible luck with this and other AMC theaters. I even went in and asked the manager who assured me it was working but it was not. This has happen on several occasions and I have contacted the corporate office and they assured me that they would fix the issue. I go again and its still not working or the batteries go dead on the cc device. The corporate office refuses to return my calls and its like they just dont care. I spend way to much money on snacks and drinks and tickets to not be able to understand the movie. Im most letting this one go. I be contacting someone though the ADA to see if they can help.
Very helpful staff resolved any problems we had with getting cheap tickets for Tuesdays and quickly signed us up with a rewards card quick enough that we didnt miss any of our movie although we were already late. That being said not much else was all too great except for the seats which reclined all the way. The place was messy and the prices for snacks and beverages were super high but to be expected. All in all was a good experience
I never went to this theater because i failed to realize that it became an AMC! lol...i know im late! This theater is nice! I love the reclining chairs and the fact that they have a bar! Im in loooooove! I wont go back to the one by my house even though its only 6 bucks because this is way more comfortable for a few dollars more.
The worst customer service. We had to cancel our tickets for the next day and were told the convenience fee was not refundable. What person will believe that a 3$ fee to process a transaction is warranted when we all know a computer processes purchases and returns instantly. The theater a few miles north has food that can be served at your seat and is more spacious... same price too.I also looked on the AMC website order page & terms/conditions and it does not list the convenience fee as being non-refundable. That refund statement can only be found if you search there page about refunds, which is usually after the transaction has already taken place. Yes, it is only 3.00 but I find these frivolous charges ridiculous.
Comfy seats, but they really need to turn the volume down in the theatres. Have been to 3 movies at this place and each one the volume is uncomfortably LOUD, to the point where it has detracted from enjoyment of the movies. Hey, AMC, you dont have to have the volume turned up to fill a thousand seat stadium when the theatre only seats 100.
Its outdated needs the newer seats watching longer movies its uncomfortable to sit. I recommend the Chula Vista dead mail AMC its the only good thing they have there they have the newer seats plus they serve alcohol but dont buy the food its a Rip off youre better offSneaking in Food TBH
Hopefully I got her name correctly but thank goodness for Rep Alyssa. I brought my nephews and niece to the movies August 3 at 10:45pm in hopes to watch Jurassic World. Long story short, she went above and beyond for me and my family. The movie was originally not going to show. (I’m assuming because no one purchased tickets by the time of the movie.) But she went and got her Manager and explained the situation and we were able to see the movie we drove to see. She honestly did not need to go the extra mile but SHE DID and we are thankful !!!!
Concessions are as always expensive so are the alcoholic drinks bit I guess thats expected. They card everyone biuying adult drinks even an old retired guy. Really? Bartender was really new to bartending, not great at mixing drinks. Seats are comfy and the sound was not too loud so good movie experience.
Their movie shut off and they wont start it again because they already gave us free tickets..... for the last 20min of our movie. Thanks for ruining a good night. Go somewhere else. Their bathrooms smell like a hobos cardboard house, theres probably a good reason for armed security
Im guessing the recliners and bar got this place its high score. Those are nice. However, the customer service here is the worst. The people who work here are very rude, unhelpful and just generally dont have the time to be bothered. Im not sure why this AMC even employs people. All they do is direct you to the App or ticket kiosk.

2022-04-01Was kinda annoyed because I had to wait 15 minutes when I ordered a pickup but, the seats were nice and it was overall pretty chill. Overall had a good time. (seats are so nice probably fall asleep during the movie)

2022-06-15We understand it is our responsibility to buy tickets at a reasonable time and that the movie we chose to see is new and a big hit. That being said, what is the deal with AMC front row seating??? Can you even call it a viewable position?? My neck is so creaked!!I retracted my seat all the way and could still barely see some of my favorite actors faces from an onward position to the point that they look gigantically huge in the rear end area. It was distracting. I definitely missed parts of the movie because my eyes can’t keep up from that angle. While I also understand that concessions are not an inexpensive treat, we do like popcorn, but we were not told that they were out of marinara for the cheese sticks that my date was looking forward to. We paid for them and then had to eat them with ketchup. I think a choice should have been offered before payment was collected. They also need to check the bathrooms more regularly. I can never stress that enough when I write a review. Someone is paid to keep them tidy and needs to their job.

2022-04-15Probably one of my favorite theaters. Seats are clean and good condition. Tickets are a bit pricier but I dont mind because you get to reserve seats and it has a small bar.

2022-06-04THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. I watched Ur Mom: The Movie special there, and Ive got to say, the experience was incredible. The popcorn was top notch, and the huge screens was epic.

2022-03-23I think this is my favorite AMC out of all of them because of their recliners. Even though other AMCs have the IMAX or the Dolby, this ones recliners are even better, even though the screens arent necessarily better. Parking is easy, but their escalator outside has been broken for months now.

2022-05-29The theater is centrally located, easy parking, sound system was clear and the chairs are comfy. I enjoyed seeing Top Gun 2 there with my family.

2022-05-31Movie was great but next time keep the AC on it gets hot inside real quick not the tidiest place around the area where you get your food and the bar it looked sad give it some life
