Really nice location. They have pizza 18” for $8.99 and $1.79 a slice. Also, a great selection of other deli. I like the smart cart. It was fun to use. There is Alexia tablets all over the store. You can ask Alexia questions like in what isle is the cereal and it will guide you. If you use the smart cart, you can use your Amazon card to pay. Good prices tbh.
This Super Market is a pleasant surprise.I read that Amazon opened up a new Amazon Fresh close by and I decided to check it out. I did not realize that it was only opened for business yesterday. Since it is new, it is very clean. The aisles are wide and the whole store feels spacious. This Amazon Fresh is no different than other Super Markets as the selection is quite broad. Besides the regular Produce, Meat & Seafood departments there is a Fresh Kitchen where Pizza, Deli, Sandwich and Sushi are available. The veggies in the Produce department are very fresh and appealing (as it should be as this store was only opened one day ago). The prices are compatible with some surprises. I found my favorite Philadelphia Salmon flavor Cream Cheese at less than $2.00 which is even cheaper than Walmart. While Costco still has the best prices but the selections are not as great. The package size is sometimes too much for me. So, this Amazon Fresh is going to be my other Super Market now.BTWThere is a Service counter that would accept Amazon returns. Very Convenient.
This place is far better than I imagined. The produce section is TOP NOTCH for sure. Meat Dept is hit or miss later in the afternoon. HUGE selection and great prices all around. Try it folks !!!!! They have it all figured out. Lost a small Ralphs but gained a BETTER Amazon Fresh by far.
I can accept the many mostly empty shelves because we all understand supply chain shortages. But the store is overrun by employees charging down the aisles, collecting groceries for delivery. One of them turned a corner too fast and literally crashed into me. Think about Amazon Fresh as a distribution center that allows retail customers to try to do their shopping while frantic warehouse activity is happening all around them.
Love this concept! Visiting from out of town where theres no Amazon Fresh. Used the order online and delivery service in addition to shopping in store. Solid variety of options, very clean, helpful staff... on-time home delivery with excellent communication and quality selections.
Astounding store with keen customer service. The store was clean, staff were smiling as if they enjoyed working there. Also, location is somewhat ideal, but hopefully they can expand across Long Beach, CA. In addition, prices are competitive and products are of good quality. I made a visit on yesterday to try some products and Im a satisfied customer. You have options with the shopping carts, so be aware of the line for shopping carts for customers with Amazon accounts.Thank you!
Its clean easy to find stuff but they run out of stock. Its mainly a warehouse its not like a big grocery store. Go on Amazon fresh grocery before you go shopping to see if your item is in stock that way you dont waste your time and you can go to another store to get whatever it is.
Let me be very clear from the get-go that the 3 stars are because of the excellent customer service of on-the-floor, the returns counter, the greeting area, and the cashiers. Ive never left Amazon Fresh without someone being very helpful, friendly, and willing to help. And I say this knowing that theyre real people with real lives and problems and theres no reason to expect people to bend over backwards for me. Theyre awesome.Parking is easy and they have a security guard who rides around and is actually helpful. My mom had hurt her foot and was having trouble getting around and he asked if she needed help. That was a good experience.I will also note that everything is very clean and very fresh. Ive never seen something in the store that fell into the unsafe or unsanitary category. However, there are a few problems that make the store experience less than perfect:1. LOW/NO STOCK: They are out of stock of items frequently, especially sales items. Dont see their ad and expect youre going to be able to take advantage of all the deals, theyre more likely to have empty shelves. Sometimes even on items that arent on sale, unfortunately.2. DELI COUNTER: You better hope you dont need help at the deli counter. Its a desert. There will often times be 4-5 people behind the pizza counter talking and over at the deli, there will usually be 1-2 people who completely ignore you until you ask someone on the floor for help. Ive had twice where Ive spoken up to ask for help of a man probably 7 feet from me and just went completely ignored. Usually, theres just no one there or the person who is there has no serving utensils and will ask you to wait while she goes to get One spatula without asking if you want more than one item, so she had to go back again to wash another One before acting like it was my fault that she ran off before I could tell her what all I wanted. Lastly in regards to the deli counter, despite that they advertise they have ready-made sandwiches, I have only once ever seen any available to grab-and-go. I dont mind because Im sure they taste better fresh, but those should be available as advertised because it takes a good 20 minutes for them to make a sandwich for some reason. Order your sandwich before you do your shopping if you dont want to wait around the store.3. PRICES: Prices are pretty high. I only keep coming in because they periodically send out good coupons ($20 off of $40) because unless you can catch one of the sales (see point 1) theyre usually more expensive than local grocery stores.4. RECALLED: If an item gets recalled, they still wont pull it off the menu or even label it as unavailable and you have to ask every single time, which means you have to deal with problem 2 regardless of whether they even have what youre trying to buy for lunch. How hard is it to put a sticker that says Item Recalled so I dont have to waste the employees time and mine asking about it.5. FLOWERS: This is going to sound bizarre, but trust me. Buy two of the $5 bouquets and mix them for a big one rather than get the $10 one. I dont know whats up with the $10 ones but they die in half the time. If you want your flowers to last, pick two of the cheaper ones and change the water every couple of days.Overall its a good experience, but it has some major flaws that make it hard for me to say I would head there on a day I didnt have a good coupon, especially with so many other stores in the immediate area.
Beautiful selection..prices are higher than most though.Creative ways to pick up and order. Amazon is trying to change the way a grocery store works, but they also still need to work out the errors.1. No real pickup point if you shop online and walk inside. They find you by your phones gps but there is NO pickup area. All employees had no answer for me when I asked them where to stand. The store before this was better. But it died along with old skool America long ago.Its ok. 15% more than Walmart, limited variety
I think this store is still working out staff problems. I went there thinking it was going to be along the lines of a Wholefoods market, but quickly learned that it was closer to a Stater Bros, with few organic goods, but rather foods with all kinds of preservatives and chemicals. And that is fine is thats what youre looking for.Twice I have waited for long periods at the take-out food counter as hip young staff members walked past and could not care less that I was waiting for something. After waiting for 10 minutes, I had to shout into the back room to get some service!I will say that Amazon sure knows how to take your money without a wait. No need to sign anything when using a card, just swipe or insert and bam, done. And, if you have an Amazon account, they automatically send you a receipt via email. Shades of big brother? Ahhh, just a tad.All in all, I use them as a convenience store. When I know the other stores I frequent are busy, I pop over to AF and grab an item or two. Usually the prices are a bit higher here, but Im willing to pay a bit more to save time. They do also have bargains here and there as well, like the rotisserie chicken for $5.
Amazon fresh long Beach had Worst employee you can find. Unit price change constantly and not match with check out price. You have to be very carefully. Their grocery return process is very complicated. You need to wait at least 2 hours to get refund or exchange. Also, be patient with the attitude of their employee.
Very nice store didnt think their prices would be as high as they are guess theyre taking advantage of the recession also they have a pizza for sale there fried chicken rotisserie chickens although the pizza look like crackers with a little red sauce on it so dont recommend the pizza too much but otherwise basically the same as any other store just watch out for some of the prices
This place is awesome! Im a big tech nerd so I just had fun with the smart cart. If you arent tech savvy then they have normal carts. You dont even have to have an Amazon account to shop here. I like how you can also return things you ordered on the Amazon website here. They even have fresh sushi!
Three complaints.1. Most of the rows are crowded with Amazon employees shopping for up to 8 different online customers.2. There is no real bulk shopping here. Everything comes in an individual package. Great if you want a single hamburger patty or a single banana. Not so much if you need to stock up in canned goods.3. Prices seen higher than at other local grocery chains.Overall, its the cleanest store Ive seen in years. The selections are big name products and their own 365 brand. However, they dont carry some of their own 365 products that you can get in Whole Foods
It is large and should have a good selection but really doesnt I expected prices to be better. I expected it to more usual and unusual food. One good thing is that you can pick up and return Amazon purchases right in the store. They also have carts that allow you to check out as you shop. The basket scans what you put into the cart so you just drive it up to its station and pay without having to take stuff out of your basket.
Sorry, this is just not working! The cart is way, way, way too small. One day in the future we will shop this way but at this early stage it is not worth your effort. It is all about the carts - product on the shelves is just fine but the carts are bad. Even when you complete your shopping you cant take the shopping cart into the parking lot, you have to transfer your goods into a conventional shopping cart. Hey - what homeless person wouldnt kill for a battery powered cart!
Huge new store (opened in 2021 I think.) You can do Amazon returns here, at the east side counter. They have a huge section of pre prepared food - from the counter or prepacked. They also provide pick up services if you would prepare to order online and stay in your car.
First time using the scanner cart thing. I asked 3 employees for help how to use it and they did not know how. Another customer assisted me. Other thank that, its like a regular grocery store. Nothing crazy or fancy but totally an ok store.I will go again at some point Im sure.
Very good grocery store with a big a lot of Amazon integration. You can shop around as if it were a standard grocery store, but if you have the Amazon app and account, you can use their fancy shopping carts that will tally up your items and make a really easy and painless checkout with you Amazon payment method.Stocking wise they have a lot of variety in both cultural foods and in food preferences (vegetarian/vegan options) at what I thought were decent prices.Ambience was a little corporate (too many greys), but clean and organized. The rating system on all the products is pretty great. Finally because it is Amazon, this place is an Amazon Locker pickup location and offers delivery for your convenience. So Id go at least once to test out how you like it, might not be for everyone, but I believe this is the most high tech grocery store Ive been to.
This facility had excellent amounts of great food. The pricing was very normal. However when we check out there is an excellent savings opportunity. MY PURCHASE WAS $50 AN I RECEIVED A $20 DISCOUNT. The inside of the store was very clean and greatly structured! The employees were very kind and very much kindly assistance.
We’ve been here half a dozen times now, and so far so good. For the items we buy, the prices are better than regular markets. We’ve come to really appreciate the quality and price of Happy Belly (store brand) products. The meat counter is fantastic—so fresh and high quality. I think this is the best place for fresh chicken. And the meat counter staff are always so friendly! The produce section is the only miss for me. They have the basics, but the quality is not as good as Sprouts, Trader Joe’s or even Vons. The checkout staff are always super friendly. If the store can maintain this level of service, cleanliness, selection, and value, we will continue to shop here.
If youre in a hurry and want a quick, affordable slice of pizza for lunch, Amazon Fresh can be a decent option...that is, if theyre actually making and selling pizza. Since their opening, Ive averaged 3 or 4 visits per month. Today was the 3rd occasion, where upon arrival at noon there were no pizzas warming on the slab for takeout. There didnt appear to be any in the oven either. No sign, no explanation...just wasted time. Ive never had this problem at Costco. If customers cant know what to expect when they come to your store for things like this, then why even bother? Just stop making pizza. Its unfortunate, but I wont be back. Waste of time.
Visited last weekend. Not a lot of customers. Too many employees shopping for online orders. Not one said hello. Too many outs and not a great selection - even tho store is large. Nice produce section but prices are high. Store was clean. Checker said 2 words to me. “Scan it” and “ok.” I spent $140.
I dont know what I expected. I had not been to this store but I sure enjoyed it. I looks plain, but it has a very interesting variety. Its clean and bright and fresh smelling. If you want, your shopping cart checks out your order, a staff member makes sure everything is done correctly, and and away we go.
Such convenience!! The dash carts are amazing. The technology is very cool to scan as you go so then you can just walk out of the store. I also enjoyed seeing how much I was spending as I was going. The store has a good selection of produce and frozen goods and a lovely section of ready made food and food ready for the oven The pizza is very yummy
We were very excited to try the new store. We liked it, but we were not thrilled. It is well done, has very good produce, fresh fish, meats, chicken. The kitchen has fresh meals and a nice deli section. All these things were a little too simple. Example, nothing is garnished or decorated. The star is the technology. Starting with the cart. What a breeze to use, and check out is as easy as Done. Alexa through out the store is another nice touch. So is the Amazon pick up and drop off.
Big spacious store. Similar to a newer grocery store. High tech scales in the produce department. Freezers are floor level compared to on the walls like other places. Very neat, organized and similar selection to big chain stores. Asian section condiments section is small and most things are available at other stores. This place does offer free Amazon pickup and returns. Thats a plus
Cant say enough about this place. Its quickly become my favorite place to shop for groceries.Ill start with the staff. They are very attentive and help with anything you need. So, theres that.I can make list with Alexa and walk in, sign in to the fancy cart that scans everything for me. Im out of there quickly and dont have to wait in line because I can check out with the carts system. I can pay directly with my Amazon account! Its really fantastic! Oh yeah, they also deliver! Best grocery shopping experience ever!
Might be cool and new but at the end of the day you’re still just grocery shopping. Don’t think you’re really saving much if anything. The staff mostly ignores you and you have to chase down the online order fillers because they don’t make eye contact. Whoever designed this concept forgot all about customer service which is huge.
This was just a novelty grocery trip to an out of the way grocery store. I specifically came here to use the grocery cart with the built in item scanner.Pros: No waiting in line for the cashier. Just scan a QR code in the Amazon app and the cameras in the cart see what you put in and charge you when youre done. They also provide free paper bags. If you use the app to create a grocery list, it syncs with the cart and itll show you what aisle your items are in.Cons: Theres a reason they call it a Dash Cart. Its for small shopping trips. You can only fit 2 grocery bags in it. I realized very quickly I wasnt gonna be restocking my whole kitchen as I intended to. Secondly, while I appreciate the free bags, they dont have handles. Not they easiest things to carry, especially since you cant take the Dash Carts out of the store. Lastly, the parking lanes are longitudinally parallel with the store. If you were using one of the regular shopping carts that can go outside, you cant really cut through the lot to get back to your car, you have to go all the way around to the end of the lane and go back around to your car.Update: I went again and the complimentary bags have handles now.
My daughter, and I went to the Amazon Fresh store in Long Beach. The prices are on the high side so I gave it a 3 star comparing it to other grocery stores that do have better prices that I shop at. They do have customer bathrooms that are clean, and the store is clean.
Produce prices and freshness are excellent. Meat prices and selection are quite good. Prepared food selection is not as good as Whole Foods or the 365 store or even the local Ralphs, but the prices on the prepared food are very competitive. The checkout process with the fancy AI carts is easy but putting products in the AI cart can be glitchy.
Substandard warehouse junk food shopping. They did have a salad bar and serve fresh food, which looked very greasy and had been sitting out for way too long. Sadly, workers in the aisles were like robots filling shelves, not making eye contact. Will never go back. Why bother!
I was really excited about going here. Its very clean, shelves are well stocked. Some neat stuff ike the sushi bar and hot pizza. Pretty awesome stuff. What I was shocked at was the prices. Why are they so high? Its not like its gluten free keto friendly vegan products. A 98 cent box of candy from Walmart is $2 there. Why is such a big company with such great prices online so expensive in store? It was pretty cool though. I think Ill stick to Walmart though as its just more in my budget. Other than prices it was pretty awesome in there. Do reccomend.
First of all I love everything Amazon I have been a junkie since 2004. Made my first visit to the Amazon fresh store on spring Street in Long Beach. The store was absolutely beautiful organized and amazing. Where the lacking was was the customer service in the deli department. They were very unorganized not trained I had to ask for help three times to get one half pound of turkey breast. The checkout process there was only one aisle open to check out and it was an express aisle with a small window to put my large order through there was a poor gentleman who I did not notice waiting with one item behind me but there were plenty of people walking around the store talking when they should have been checking out customers. I do hope this improves because I would love to come back and shop here.
Went in because I received a coupon, $5 off $15. The produce and meat price point was higher that Sprouts, Stater Bros. or Ralphs. In the staples section, name brands were also a higher price, but its in-house brand was inexpensive.A pleasant surprise was finding my favorite gourmet cheese. If I return, it will be for the sole purpose of splurging on my favorite gourmet cheese otherwise, Ill stick to my regular stores.
Great store for conventional products only. I came here to compare to Whole Foods and see if I could get similar products for cheaper. The conventional products do run slightly cheaper but thats about it. Do not buy organic items from here since they are either cheaper or the same price at Whole Foods. If you really want better ingredients and are willing to spend just slightly more, just stick with Whole Foods. At the end of my grocery run I didnt save all that much from what I would have gotten at Whole Foods and keep in mind I had to grab more conventional items to make the trip feel cheaper. Aldi may be a better fit if youre looking for cheaper conventional groceries over Amazon fresh. Great associates and great tech!
This place is wow, check it out its kind of amazing and scary at the same time. 5 stars just for the visual when you walk in and the opportunity to observe zombie robots in their natural habitat. Also, they have good prices on IPAs and almost everything else. Watch out Walmart! This is the future, now.
Went a couple of days after they opened and it was awesome. Went again a couple of days ago and it is a total 180 letdown. Not stocked well, staff is anything but friendly, the staff they have filling the online shopping orders just push right in front of you, block aisles, have no awareness, we almost got hit by one of them twice as she was running and jumping on her cart to ride it down the aisle. This Amazon store sucks.
Simply went to return an Amazon purchase. There was one guy in front of me finishing up. I had the return bar code ready on my phone, the clerk scanned it, took the package and I was out of there in like under two minutes! I check my bank on the way home and I was credited for my return! Easy peasy. No muss, no fuss. If I had the time I would have looked around as this place looked huge and warehouse like but with an atmosphere. Next time.
Really helpful staff, the automated carts are cool and easy to use, but only if youre not buying a lot. They have regular carts too so you dont have to use the automated ones. Prices seem cheaper than vons. They also have a little best selling items sections from amazon.com (that are not grocery related).
Very spacious grocery store. I happened to go at an off time ...the clerk said it picks up around lunch time. Staff was all very nice. My friend used the fancy carts that scan your groceries going in. You also have to go through a check out to transfer to another cart that can leave the store. I chose old school cart and checkout. If you are running in for a few items the scan as you go cart would be good. If its more than 3 bags if groceries get a different cart. If whole foods and vons had a baby it would be amazon fresh. Some items are more specialty like a whole foods and others are normal like a vons. Some prices are outrageous and some are a good price.
Going to honest this place doesnt seem worth it, especially with stater bros right across the street. They do have a ton of curbside pickup lanes but we tried to order online and the selection is just waaay too limited. I went inside to checkout the dash cart system but its a complete fail. The dash carts are huge but the actual basket area is super small and you cant stack items past the cameras. All I got was a bag of chips, milk, and eggs and I couldnt fit anything more into the cart. You also cant use the dash cart for large things like soda or water packs. They have traditional carts and you can basically treat the location like an ordinary grocery store but their selection is pretty limited.HUGE NOTE: Honestly the best thing about this place is they have an Amazon shipping center so you can pickup or drop off your Amazon packages here.
It was a great and new experience buying here today. The only thing that is bothering me is the size of the shopping cart. It is small. I only bought a few things. But it was fast and very easy in the same small computerized cart. For sure I m going tomorrow to buy the rest of my groceries.
I hate to give Bezos any more $$, so I was fully ready to hate this place. Unfortunately I cant say that: the produce section is terrific and really well organized. They seem to only put out a limited supply of fresh stock and replenish as necessary. There were employees restocking on EVERY aisle, so finding help is ridiculously easy. Deli and pizzaria. Automated Amazon lockers are a bonus.
For all of the hype it was not really worth it. Just another grocery store with long regular lines as they want you to use their self paying carts..The pay as you go carts are genius but too small to shop for an actually grocery run and I found 2 glitches and reported it, and they couldnt fix it and let me keep the items. We did buy a slice of every pizza flavor they had, but not one of them was decent, and cold by the time we paid and left the store.Bring your own bags because there bags that you can get are small enought to pack a lunch in.
Make sure you know your local grocery store prices before you go to Amazon Fresh. Compare The store was crowded today probably because its new. You dont have to use their Smart Carts to shop. They dont appear to hold a lot of items. There are regular carts if you want to buy more than a few items. Would I go back? Probably not.
Very clean and well organized with a great selection! I didnt get a cart and didnt buy anything as I was just curious and was checking it out. Turned on my Amazon app but didnt see any activity on it. So still not sure how it works when you buy something. Need to see if there are any videos online.
I was not impressed at all, matter of fact I cant understand why someone would shop here. It took over 30 minutes to get in because I wanted to try the technology cart out. Food was overpriced and produce, especially organic was soft and almost rotten. The cart was half the size of a normal cart so you could only fit in 2 bags? First and last time for me, Stater Brothers here I come!
Was decent experience but PACKED and they have a lot its growing pains with checkout. The customer service was great though.Pantry products on most things that I need are a bit more expensive, but stuff on sale is where you need to look for great deals.Produce and meat/fish are priced on point but the quality is fantastic!
New experience. I tried out the automation cart but ended up waiting 10+ minutes for help. I had a wine in my card, just needed someone to verify my dl but like 10 employees jusy passed me by. I had to ask for help but still needed to ask 5+ more minutes until someone strolled by to help. Cart had a survey on it which I wanted to complete, but knowing my dissatisfaction the employee took the bags out of my cart and took the cart away saying I dont need to complete it. Btw there was normal cashier open, even though there were no one there cahiers were just chitchating never bothered to ask or help me out. Everything in the grocery were neat and interesting, but I guess customer service arent much of their priority.
Very busy place. Also really hard to find basics like 20 min looking for tortillas, vanilla extract from a giant disorganized wall and cinnamon powder... honestly I wont be going back to this spot, whats the point let someone who knows the store and its their job to shop, this was a nightmare to shop here.
Dark narrow aislesSelection not as varied as I would likeThe Fresh shoppers for pick up and delivery accounts fairly trot though the store with their carts and lists, and one gets the feeling one is in THEIR way when sharing the aisles and cold cases. Definitely felt too slow and unwelcome at this store.
It offers convenience and selection at competetive prices. If buzzing around with an electronic cart isnt for you, they still have a human checkout to assist you with your final purchase. More importantly alexa stations offer help at multiple endcaps. Admitedly though the layout is very intuitive and large. I didnt feel cramped at all walking through the aisles. Moreover I was pleased to find some of the specialty items that ordinarily allude me. Service was friendly, music wasnt to loud and at no point did I hear a loud ear jarring announcement over the speakers. All in all, excellent experience.
The regular prices here are lower than the other chain grocery stores. However, very few specials advertised and no manufacture coupons accepted for now.The Dash Carts, which link to your Amazon account, is a novelty, but could aid in faster shopping if you know what youre doing. Not required. Most of what you would expect at a grocery is available, but limited in the number of brands and sizes. Too much organic nonsense.Easier shopping than having to go into a Walmart or Target store. Of course, can also order food online at Amazon and have delivered same day.Nice feature: All amazon returns can be brought here without having to be boxed.
Its interesting how a great place can be so stained by one employees poor attitude. The shopping experience tied to the app was great. I also had a locker pickup so I went to the Amazon locker area. There was a woman, older maybe 50s, wearing a cap. She blandly explained the locker process. I went to the locker, (here its a little bit of Amazons fault), I put the barcode on my phone to the scanner and Beep....nothing. The screen on the locker scanner does nothing at all. It should have said to look at my phone but I dont know this. I let the woman at the counter know that nothing is happening. This part is her fault, she says blandly, does it say counter pick up or something to that effect. I say, it shows nothing. She, like a fly trying to do the same thing over and over, Does it say counter pick up just repeatedly, not even trying to think for a sec that Im in front of the locker screen looking at it. If for a FRACTION of a second she took the time to make the connection and say Oh! on your phone! What does it say on your phone. It would have changed everything rather than me getting frustrated at her condescending lackluster service. Instead I ended up just getting more frustrated in having to repeat that the screen was saying nothing.I own my business, If an employee acted that way with a customer that would be her last day there. Its not complicated, show effort and you have a steady job.I know Amazon hires lots of people and its hard to control who is gonna be good at their job or not. She made it evident she has ZERO customer service skills and ZERO effort at customer service. I was looking at the screen on the lockers, she was talking about my phone without saying she was talking about my phone. It wasnt a difficult missed connection to make. I dont know how it all works if its my first time, she WORKS there. Still even if she didnt realize we were both talking about two different screens, her, I rather not be here attitude will piss people off. Shes working at a brand new tech and service centered Amazon store but is acting like a burnt out worker at the dollar store. She doesnt want to work there. She must be the same person someone else talked about on Yelp. Either let her go or put her to work in the back where NO ONE will interact with her. I think one of her coworkers noticed what happened cuz he was talking to her after I left maybe coaching her.If someone wants to work somewhere they will make the effort to be good at what they do.
Trying so hard to support this store, stopped by to get some fresh flowers this morning and the flower display is swarmiwith gnats and mosquitoes. You can see them landing on the flowers and wrappers. I tried to share this with the manager but was told she was too busy to help me. I tried to call but the only number posted is for their tech department.
Great new location. The techy Dash Cart is awesome. Tbe Cart scans your Amazon app on your phone, then scans items as you place them in the cart. Unscans seamlessly if you remove from the cart. You are bagging items as you shop. At checkout, just walk across the green mat, hit a button to confirm purchase, grab your bags and leave. Welcome to Long Beach, Amazon Fresh!
If you want to experience a technological marval in buying things automatically through cart you can visit amazon fresh. Except that the things very very very costly.. if you are millionaire or great fan of whole food gimmicks its your place else dont go to buy things there just go enjoy and play around cart scan and buy a bag of cornflakes or peanuts ( which itself is 2.5 times costly than Costco or 1.5 times costly then Walmart) just if you wanna know how the pay works through your amazon account... other wise its not worth it...Amazon Freshes are Ferraris with out a engine, where they sell look, feel and automation but not groceries..The three star is just for the technological marvel, ease of check out, and product arrangements!
Just opened off Spring St & Palo Verde. Two ways to enter:1st walk in with normal cart, green or small yellow. Shop as normal pay as normal - havent done this yet.Or next wait in line (@ 5 minutes) for an Amazon green cart with tablet.(While waiting, log into your Amazon account and verify what payment will be used - default.)This is for light shopping, nothing over the top of the cart or too heavy items. (There is a scale built into the cart!)Sign in with Amazon shopping app, click In-store code, scan cart with QR code. Your cart is linked to your account and payment through Amazon.Grab what you need, then cart will scan most items. Some you may need to enter the PLU code and then the cart will weigh, click confirm and its added to your cart.Put something in accidentally or it double scans, click on that item and adjust the quantity, update cart and done - WOW!When ready with the Amazon cart, go to the green lane, as soon as you enter the pad, it will total your cart and ask you to verify your cart before you pay! (There are associates available if needed.)Unfortunately, you cant bring the tablet cart outside, so keeping the cart light helps!!

2022-04-30It was a great experience! I was in the area and had to stop by here to see what it was like. I used the Amazon Dash Cart and I was in awe by the technology. Employees were really helpful and friendly. There were directions on the screen to guide me along. I was here on a Friday around 11am and there were some customers but mostly employees filling pickup orders. Their prepared meals looked really good. I love all the options. The store was very clean and organized.

2022-05-26Cool little store. Very clean and not that crowded at all. Was able to find everything I needed, the prices are something else though...kinda high. Fun experience with the smart cart. The best part? No lines when you use the smart cart!! Make sure you have the Amazon app on your phone though! Youre gonna need it.

2021-12-1212/2021-Just discovered the Amazon Returns doesnt accept all Amazon packages. No explanation on which ones or not just luck of the draw.8/2021-Amazing high tech supermarket but I guess thats too be expected with a billion dollars! Price scanners and disinfectant stations all over the market. Everything is super clean, well stocked and organized. I really appreciate the free convenient Amazon return service center. Prices are slightly above other chain supermarkets but less than Whole Foods.

2022-02-27This was a very tidy and neat grocery store. There were many employees available for questions. Many familiar brands, as well as, their own. Meat and produce looked fresh. Some items pricey. Some items the same as local grocery stores. Overall experience was pleasant. Will be going back often. You do not need to have an Amazon account to shop here.

2022-06-05I love how clean and aesthetically pleasing it is to shop here, but the prices are up there. If you’re on a budget this isn’t the store for you. If you love Vons and Trader Joe’s then definitely give this place a try.

2022-02-04One of the best and easy experiences ever. The store is very clean, organized and well stocked . The team members are very helpful. It was both fun and nice having everything bag and totaled when you finished shopping. No need to stand in line. Cross the finish line, pick up your bags and leave. Looking forward to going again.

2022-01-16The Amazon Kitchen foods cooked there are fresh and tasty. The pizza is a meal for one slice at $1.79 each! The meats are very inexpensive with good quality cuts.See those hundreds of cameras on the ceiling? If you have the Amazon app, use the “In Store Code” and go through the gates to your right when you enter. The cameras see what you add to your cart and you can just walk out when you’re done. No standing in line!

2022-04-16Wonderful service especially from a young man named Calvin. Showed my wife and I how to do everything in the store. It was our first trip into an Amazon Fresh. Everything was convenient and easy. A little pricey but worth it for the easiness of it all.

2022-03-05Very over whelming employees were all very pleasant and made me feel welcomed this was my first time in a Fresh store. Personally I think you get better deals online then in the store. I personally like shopping via online then driving to the store using my gas and then having to deal with other customers in the store. Most people are rude and frankly I dont have the smile that goes with a paycheck. Store is so big I hope they have earthquake straps on the aisles just in case!! We are in California and we have earthquakes.
