My car window got smashed in San Francisco, so i can not arrive the hotel at the reserved day, the agent website policy is i cannot get refund. but the hotel is willing to help us to reschedule it to the next day without any additional charge, really appreciate it, making me feel not that bad during my trip.
Great location for all activities in the Pismo Beach area and you cannot beat their rates. Kirti and Sam who manage this property are AMAZING! We have been coming here for years and will continue to return as we have found that they will go out of their way to make sure our stay is comfortable!
Rude woman up front with an attitude. Doesn’t make me want to return. Long story. Apparently if you have guests the reservation comes up under their name. Despite the fact that I had my reservation number this woman still failed to find my reservation and told me to sit in my car so she could help other people. Totally inconvenient after a 6 hour drive. I told this woman the way she was talking to me was rude 2 separate times as she continued to wave her finger at me. I don’t care how many people you deal with on a daily basis, have some respect when you talk to people. These rooms are over priced and smell like cigarettes.
Positive: It was quiet Negative: I didnt get any room service for some reason.maybe you guys are backed up.maybe need to hire more people.?.also I didnt wanna go complain to front office but at the end I needed up getting bites all over my body and I dont know if it was bed bugs
Wow I havent even stayed at this place but the phone conversation alone with the lady (Indian accent) was already unpleasant, kind of scares me now to check in here.Ill update this review after check out coz I can tell you I already regret I picked this place. I hope this will turn positive experience after checkin
Broken coffee maker in room, spoke with housekeeping they didnt care, hard as rock beds. Super noisy, only plus side was they had great pillows and a fridge in the room. I reserved my room in Dec, they charged me $100 more than the quoted price at check in. Will never stay nor recommend the place to my friends.
Worst place Ive ever stayed at. I made a reservation, showed up and there was no reservation. I was given a non smoking room and charged $35 more than originally was told. The receptionist threatened to charge my card if I smoked, and said shed KNOW if I smoked in there. Lol Okay? Then in the morning I woke up completely covered in BED BUG BITES ALL OVER MY UPPER BODY, AND MY LEGS. The receptionist was completely completely rude too. Never recommending that place to anyone. Its disgusting and if Id known, I never wouldve spent my money at a trashy, dirty, bug infested place.
My fiancé and I were looking for a place to have his daughter enjoy her 13th birthday so she could swim in a pool. It was only going to be us three (not party due to the pandemic) We are locals here and decided to support a local business. When we went in to inquire about a room and our reason for our stay the person as the front desk refused us service, backed away and stopped talking to us and we have no idea why. I have never experienced this rude behavior at a hotel before and I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and expensive ones at that. Don’t waste your time on this place. There are much nicer hotels in this area.
This place was clean. HOWEVER, we were put in the building next to the freeway which was very loud. Didnt sleep all night. Due to covid we were not allowed to see the room first. Then when we asked for a late check out the lady was rude and said NO WE HAVE TO CLEAN IT FOR OUR NEXT GUESTS. Really they have like 40-50 rooms.
I received a call from the hotel office an hour before check end stating that they had a problem with the card I used for the reservation. I ask the lady if I could call her back in fifteen minutes so I could exit the freeway to park and I would give her another card. She threatened to give my room away if I didnt give her payment right then and there. My room looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Mattress on the bed was old and very uncomfortable for the $200 I paid for the room. And to top it all off She called me the next morning at 8:30am for what I dont know because the phone in the room was nothing but static when I answered. I will NEVER stay here again.
Place is not for those who need Wi Fi. Whatever they tell you, it does not work. And if you ask for help, theyll give you a phone number where theyll give you the run around till you drop dead. Rude and uncaring desk staff: once they got your money, they couldnt care less about you. Not even to the point of pretending.Rooms are nice, clean, and spacious in spite of the drab, run down outer appearances of the building itself. Rooms was equipped with mini fridge, microwave oven and Keurig coffee machine. If you need anything, though, better light the Bat-signal in the sky or call the Ghostbusters than try the front office. Youve been warned...Did not try the pool, went to the beach instead. No whirlpool, just a pool.
The lady that owns the place was flat out rude. I understand we got covid going on but as I was walking up to the window she was going into the office and tells me stat outside if you need something. Well I was already staying outside because my husband had told me nobody was allowed inside and that the lady from the office had shouted to stay out. I don’t enjoy anyone taking to me to stay out with there hands in a rude way. That let alone, I will never go back.
Bed was comfortable. Bathroom and shower were nice. Some of furniture was dated and in rough shape. Breakfast was not good-all they had was bread, stale cereal and muffins. All I wanted was some Orange Juice and they were out of it! Verging on a 3 star hotel but staff attitude and breakfast need improving to justify price.
Nice hotel with easy access from 101. The place is kept neat enough. Rooms were clean and well furnished, except for sub-par pillows. The complimentary breakfast was a let down for me. I was surprised to see an Tesla charging station, so its useful for them. Overall I say its well worth the price you pay.
Beautiful interior paint, beautiful shower & sink, very clean, kind attentive staff: office, maintenance & maid. The room was stalked well with everything thats needed, comfortable beds, table dresser, fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board, blow drier & even the water pressure is amazing! Very happy guests!!!
Great motel, quiet, clean and nice big rooms. Price was just right. The microwave and mini fridge in the room came in handy, because we brought our own food and drinks. Breakfast was great too. Enough choises, like coffee, orange and apple juice, different kinds of cereal, bread, yogurt etc. No supermarket nor restaurant on walking distance.I was kind of surprised to see that there were not many other guests at all!
I was surprised by this hotel. The owner was nice and efficient. The room was spacious and the cable TV was great, with a lot of channels. We didnt have the opportunity to enjoy the swimming pool, because it was cold in the outside (12C during the summer). The coffee was good and it is included in the price. Nice location (close to the highway).
After one of the most bizarre evening of my year, I have to say that my interaction at Aloha Inn might have been one of the rudest, most unprofessional experiences.I had been asked to assist my neighbor with relocating one of the parties to a hotel due to a domestic dispute. After reserving the room for the night through Hotels.com, we went to check my neighbor in. Because the name on the card was in the partners name, the manager told the neighbor that they would had to leave. Hysterical, the neighbor came back to my vehicle and told me what happened. Since I was a leveled headed third party, I decided to hear for myself what the situation was. With a calm rational mind and spirit, I talked to the manager through an intercom (following COVID protocol). The night manager continue to interrupt me, told me he would refuse to let my neighbor stay even though the hotel was paid for, and told me he didnt want my kind at his hotel. Now, telling me, a doctorate student who works with adults with disabilities and is a youth minister for the local Catholic Church with a 4.0 GPA who volunteered to assist a family in need during a pandemic, that my kind didnt belong at the Aloha Inn maybe one of the most laughable and downright disrespectful things Ive ever experienced. The coward waited until he saw my vehicle drive away before coming out of the office. So, if your kind is decent, empathetic, supportive and functioning, you shouldnt look at the Aloha Inn for service. But if you have an electric car, there are plenty of parking spaces available to you... WTH!
If I could give it a lower review I would. We set up a reservation with the wife who was going to give us 80 a night. We came to check in and the husband told us that it would be 530 for two nights. 175 a night. Told us to go somewhere else for 80 a night and he would cancel our reservation then shut the window on us. The wife was very pleasent but the husband was rude and very short with us. If you are wanting to stay somewhere look for somewhere else.
If I can give this place 0 stars I would! Booked a room with them and his wife called and said our booking was canceled. They still charged my card. After I realized I called them to ask why, he says nobody called me was being really rude and yelling. Now Im going to have to dispute it with my bank. Save the trouble! Find somewhere else!!
It was one of the worst check-ins Ive ever had. I booked through hotels.com and so the room was paid for already. When I got there the guy tried to charge me again but I assured him that I had already paid. He argued with me for 15 seconds before getting irate. He literally pushed the reservation against the glass and barked at me, You are wrong! At that point, I noticed the reservation he was holding was for a Michelle, not me. After pointing out his mistake, he made no effort to apologize. I didnt expect to be comped or anything but an apology should have been extended. Hospitality should be important to any hotel, but this place clearly sees no value in good customer service. 2 stars though because the room wasnt bad.
The fridge still had ice cream in it from the previous people. My kids were playing on the floor and found some hard candy that wasnt ours. The weather is nice there, but we were a bit hot. The cooler in the room had the knobs torn off so we couldnt use it.We knew it wasnt an upscale place, we just needed a place to crash, but its not too much to expect it to be clean. We ended up not even sleeping under the covers.I told the manager on duty, but at that point just wanted to sleep. He just said hed tell the maids. I didnt tell him to get anything out of it, but zero customer service.I wouldnt recommend the Aloha Inn.
We were checked into room 209. This hotel staff was very friendly, the rooms were kept in excellent condition. They have great amenities like USB ports/plugs by your bed for charging your phone and laptop. They have reserved electric vehicle parking with a Tesla Destination Charger. Coffee machine in your room as well as a nice continental breakfast in the morning.
Called to let staff know we would be getting in late...was told they didnt tend to take reservations like that...um I made my reservation online. When I said whatnot? The woman yelled into the phone. No mention of no night check ins( nor do I think that was a thing ). Very unprofessional! Otherwise. It was a very basic motel at a moderate rate. Over 120 a night, worth 50 maybe 75.
The day after my stay at The Aloha Inn they added an additional charge to my credit card. There was no mention, no paperwork no notification of the so called “booking fee”. When I called the manager she stated, too bad that’s the way it is.The stay was sub-par but tolerable, excluding the ppl talking, I didn’t need to hear their conversation but unavoidable based on the thin walls.Good luck if you decide to stay here.
Nothing fancy. Rooms are big. Beds are not to comfy. There is a couch with some stains. Aside from that its pretty clean and looks as if though they are remodeling the room. As this one has new carpet. You get what you pay for though. If you are passing through its better than motel 6.
DEFINITELY STAY HERE :-) My mom and I were heading home but got tired and found this little place. We seriously almost didnt stop because it was so well priced. Almost too well priced. $89 for and double queen when others are charging $170+. But we took a chance and are so happy. We walked in to a clean and comfy room. The young man in the lobby was sweet and professional and referred us to a good place for dinner. So glad we stopped here and will stop here again on our trips up and down the coast. Thanks Aloha Inn :-)
We got to the room took the pillows off the hideaway bed and we found someone elses dirty blanket. Ewwwww!!! And of all times during Covid-19. Definitely do not recommend this place. Guy running the desk was rude when we told him he gave us a dirty room and started pointing his finger at me. Beyond disgusted.
I stayed here for my birthday recently & only paid $193 for 3 nights! Very clean rooms, very nice staff, good mattresses, great amenities, free continental breakfast, everything was just right. If you treat the staff like youre above them, you wont get good service. Thats everywhere. Besides all of the dirty trailer park trash that also stayed there, it was as quiet as the dead. Thats not an exaggeration either. I thought my husband & I were the only ones there! When I opened up the back sliding door, all I could hear was the freeway & nothing else! When I closed the door, absolutely nothing. Do they have sound proof rooms or something?? Lol it was so quiet you could hear a gnat sneeze! Anyway, it was really nice & Ill be going back.
The rooms were fairly small but had enough space for me and my girlfriend. The hotel is close to the highway, shopping, and restaurants, yet feels tucked away in a quiet area. The staff kept the continental breakfast stocked up throughout the morning, unlike other hotels Ive been to. Overall we had a good experience.
This hotel doesnt look like much from the outside, but the bathrooms are remodeled and the place is well kept. I slept fine, but there is a bit of highway noise for the sensitive types. The furniture is dated, but functional. Not a bad place to stay for cheap.I scored a really low rate of $50ish dollars, so I think I got a good deal. The bad news: The breakfast is almost nonexistent. Couple cereals, toast, old danishes, and juice. Thats it. So the money I saved on the room could have probably went to a hotel with a better free breakfast... but its a wash. Im going to go check out a local diner for breakfast.I *might* stay here again.
Location is adjacent to the freeway and the acoustics lack. Beds are hard which caused me to wake up multiple times during the night. Office attendee was completely unhelpful. Receptacles hanging out of the wall with energized wires exposed posing shock hazard. Gave 2 stars cuz the TV remote worked. :/
My family and I booked a block of rooms (10+) for the 4th of July weekend (Friday-Sunday). Room rates for the holiday weekend were (@$250+tax a night). Luckily my family & I booked months in advance so we able to book at a lower rate of (@$179+tax a night). Here comes the reason for the 1 star rating. Due to an unfortunately circumstance I could not join my family the first night of their arrival (Friday) and had to come one day later on Saturday. I called the hotel and spoke with the General Manager regarding my reservation, please keep in mind I called 6 days in advance (not last minute and well before the cancellation period) to inform them of the change and that I would only be able to stay for one night instead of two. The general manager then gave me the option of paying the new rate of ($250+tax) as if I was booking that day and would not honor the rate that I had booked months in advance ($179). Not only was he not willing to honor my rate of $179, he was rude and told me that if I do not want the room @ $250 he has someone else who does because they over-booked their rooms for that night/weekend.The end conclusion was that I either pay an additional $71+tax to stay at the hotel with my family or don’t stay there at all. But in actuality even if I decided to pay the additional charge I still wasn’t guaranteed a room since the General Manager confirmed they over-booked their reservations. At the end of our conversation the General Manager stated all he could do was offer me $15 dollars off which was still $56 dollars more than what I booked the room for in the first place. And then had the nerve to say “well when you make an airline reservation and you make a change, you have to pay a change fee” so here you are paying a change fee, WHAT? If it wasn’t a holiday weekend and if the surrounding hotels had availability to accommodate my family of the 10+ rooms, none of my family would be staying there. Needless to say I will not be staying at the Aloha Inn because of the General Manager’s horrible customer service and greed for money. $250+tax per a night for a 2 Star hotel, Please! Before ending the call I informed the General Manager that I will be writing a review and he responded “how can you write a review, you haven’t even stayed here” and I politely responded that “I can most definitely write a review based on your customer service and this conversation, thank you and have a good night”!
Balconies not private on first floor. Outdated rooms with thin walls and ceilings. Had to explain to 8 yr old why the upstairs neighbors were doing jumping jacks at night (and then again in the morning😉). Someone stole all my daughters luggage right out of her room! And the pool isnt heated.
It was dirty and the handicap room I was given couldnt even accommodate my wheelchair. I couldnt use it at all in the room and the shower stall didnt have a seat. There was blood on the walls, ac filter was caked with dust, it smelled like and old alcoholic was living in it, and black mold in the doorway.
Outside of the motel is old and outdated. For $225 that I paid , I was atleast expecting nice towels and the bedding could have been a lil more comfy. The soap they provide is not good at all. My wall outlets were not even screwed in all the way and the plates were half off. Cant believe they had towels like this for customers. SMHOh and the complimentary breakfast is only a few biscuits, some cereal , and like 2 fruits. No eggs, waffles, any type of meats like sausage links or patties. Pretty weak !
Room was a ok needs to be updated, bed wasnt too comfortable but other than that it was ok, nice people and breakfast was better then I expected most hotel provide only muffins this place had more options to choose from I would definitely recommend this place if ur looking to save money and be like 4 min away from beach.
Pros:1. The room was supposed to be ready at 3pm but we showed up an hour early at 2pm and they let us in.2. 5 minute drive from beach, although the ocean isnt actually visible from anywhere on the property.Cons:1. Incomprehensible front desk girl2. Someone opened my room only 5 minutes after I came back. Had I came back 10 minutes later, they would have walked in on two open laptops on the table, 2 duffle bags, and 2 backpacks.3. I got the room for 1 night. On the evening of day 1 the key card worked fine. The following morning I was locked out.4. The High Speed internet had brief periods of usability but my laptop spent most of the time timing-out.1. One of girls at the front desk doesnt speak clear English, I had no idea what she was saying most of the time. I only understood my room number, everything else was gibberish.2. Ive always been cautious not to leave expensive items at any motel but that day my brother convinced me that I was being over cautious. I decided to leave both of my bags and my computer at the motel while he and I when out. Before we left, I place the Do not disturb sign on our door handle in an effort to keep the maids out while we where away, I think it worked. When We got back at around 9:30pm I took the sign off, and went inside. Roughly 5 minutes later at 9:35pm I hear the door unlock and an elderly couple on the other side of the door. They leave and 30 seconds later I get a call from the front desk confirming my reservation. I may be over reacting but it seems like too much of a coincidence that someone tried to open the door 5 minutes after the Do Not Disturb sign came down. They must have assumed we where sleeping in for the afternoon and took of for the evening. 3. The following night when my brother and I grabbed some breakfast. When we came back to our room neither of our cards worked and we had to go to the front desk to get them reactivated. Only a minor inconvenience but considering what had happened the night before I was very upset. 4. Internet was just bad. You had to resubmit the password at the beginning of each session.THEIR RATED 1 STAR FOR A REASON. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Granite used in bathroom and separate sink unit, shower perfect. Not a place jif you want a 5 course free breakfast. Dry cereals, instant oatmeal, several muffins and toast options, fresh fruit, orsnge and apple juice, decaf and expressovto regular coffee, several yogurt flavors. Room waa clean, TV not great, but we dont travel to watch TV. Bed king or queen.no sleep problems, shower and shanpoo with supplied condtioner and soap too was fully agreeable for eaae of use.
I chose the Aloha Inn due to its attractive price point, as well as easy freeway access. The room really left nothing to be desired, it was pretty much exactly as advertised. Room came with a mini-fridge and microwave, large flat screen t.v., and pretty modern air conditioning. The room was very clean and well stocked. The Wi-Fi was strong and reasonably fast, in my room at least. The employees that we did interact with were professional and friendly. Overall, a pretty nice stay.
We had two rooms and I returned to the motel to find both doors wide open with no cleaning personnel present. On my way to the office to discuss this, I walked past another room that had its door wide open with no on in it. I have stayed there before without a problem but based on this last experience, I will not return.
Horrible stay! Housekeeper came in the back patio and looked through the sliding glass door at my kids while they were getting ready in the morning, and when I told the owner he did nothing about it ! Also, housekeeping tried to open our door at 9 a.m. which wouldnt have been hard to do because the top lock on our door was missing the safety latch. I should have known better then to stay because when we arrived a woman at the front desk said it was $84.oo when the online price was $76.oo and when I said I would rather book online she tried to bully me into paying the $84 and I had to wait and come back a hour and a half later to speak with a manager who then said of course its only $76.oo . The carpets were disgusting, the staff comes in your back patio and looks in, every person I dealt with was rude, and theres Tweakers rummaging about in their cars all night in the parking lot ... overall I would say this is a unsafe place to go with kids!
The Wi-Fi is horrible, it always cuts off, and then my data gets used. My laptop and iPad couldnt get connected, so I couldnt do some work. Someone was smoking when I was outside. First day impressions are very bad. (I am writing this from the first few hours I am here.) This is horrible!
The aloha Inn is owner operated which usually in my experience as far as the motel business is not a place you want to stay at. The owners invade your privacy I was in the shower we got a knock at the door my wife answered it was the owner telling her to tell me to get out of the shower I been in there to LONG. How did he know how long I was in shower that is weird. Place is not clean like chain hotels I would not recommend this hotel to my in laws our worst enemy
The rooms seem renovated but they have done a shabby job.the bed spread had stains on it.the shower bottles seem already opened.the breakfast only had bread, some cereal and muffins. For the same price had such a great experience and service at another hotel. They need to pay attention to the small details.thats what customers notice.
I am very disappointed in the customer service at this hotel and through Priceline. I made the reservation for 4 people and 2 beds through Priceline. When I called to verify with the hotel they told me I would have to pay an extra $80 for the 2nd bed. They told me that was a deal too. Very disatisfied with the customer service at the hotel and Priceline.

2022-05-07Positive: I wasn¿t expecting much from this hotel given the photos online. But I was pleasantly surprised. The owner at the front desk was very kind and talkative. And I was absolutely blown away at how nice the rooms were. Everything¿s been remodeled.

2022-05-23Poor customer service. Went down to the main office to add another night. Was quoted a price 0f 82+ fee which was a great price. Came back later to my room and get call saying the price was raised to 180+ fees. Went to office to talk to Elvis the manager. He blamed the new hire saying it was a mistake even tho the employee talk to him in the morning. Elvis kept saying they won’t honor what we were quoted. Very shady business. Suggest staying away from here.

2022-06-24Positive: Location and price exceeded expectations. Negative: My room needed a major wipe down. All surfaces, walls, light switches had dirty hand prints. Cleanliness was my biggest gripe.

2022-05-24Positive: Comfortable bed, clean room. Very accommodating as we got into town a little early so they let us check in with no problem before check in time.

2021-11-09Positive: The room was well appointed, light, airy, and clean, with a lot of privacy and no freeway noise. Negative: The pool was not available. I didnt like the check in procedure although I liked the people running the hotel. I dont think I would have liked some of the other rooms closer to the freeway.

2022-04-08I never stayed there but if you have issue with peoples appearances then you are very shallow therefore I will not stay there based on the reviews I just want you to know that reviews matter and people read them and do make decisions based on the reviews I never care what people look like I care about how people behave and only animals care about appearances because you see people as prey

2022-04-04Clean quite except for the birds they feed. Close to the 101 hey so there is road noise
