Beautiful hospital! Both Dr. Giahi and Dr. Reza have taken the best care of all my pets. All of them have had dentals and physical exams with both doctors and always had great outcomes.Highly recommend this hospital, will always come here.
Dr Reza is amazing!! Our French Bulldog has some defensive tendencies when he gets anxious (still in training), but Dr Reza solved our problems by placing a muzzle on the cutie! I myself have never been able to get a muzzle on him. Then we were in and out for vaccinations in less than 5 minutes. What a worry saver! I would never take my little guy anywhere else now.
We had an amazing experience with both our dog and cat wellness visits! Dr. Reza is professional and detailed, he was able to answer all of our questions and gave excellent information and tips regarding both our pet’s health care. The atmosphere is wonderful and even our cat remained calm and relaxed the entire visit.
I wish I could give this place 10 stars. They go above and beyond to help. This place definitely exceeds my expectations every time. I have been coming to this location since they opened, I am extremely happy with this animal hospital, the staff is very nice and helpful. The veterinarian Reza is great and super caring. I am an animal lover and my pet is my life. I don’t trust any Dr. or pet services with closed eyes, so I found Dr. Reza from his paitients family when he was practicing in Banfield Hospital years ago and I was going through big lengts to find appointment with him to bring my Dog that only him could visit.Im So glad that Aliso Viejo animal Hospital is directed by Dr. Reza the most knowledgeable, caring, honest and professional gentlemen I have ever pleasure to know and more than anything I can bring my dog anytime it needs without any hassle or worries and know there is Dr. Reza to take care of him. All personnel in this facility are nice and professional. As a matter of fact few times when Dr Reza was not in office I had pleasure of knowing Dr Pablo as professional as Dr. Reza. My experience have always been so satisfactory in regards to appointment, diagnosis, expenses, and results that me and my dog get benefited. The diagnosis of the issues have been right on and Dr Reza have been always right no matter what the situation was. Just recently I noticed my beloved dog was limping, followed all Dr Reza’s advices and diagnosis. My beautiful pit bull mix went through ACL surgery in Aliso Viejo animal Hospital so successfuly that he is less than a week after surgery is acting like nothing at all happened to him. No pain, no problems what so ever. Dr Reza’s instructions were complete and effective. We are getting followed up from entire personnel in this hospital and support that is offered is incredible. Having an older dog with lots of health problems, weve been to our share of veterinarians over the years. None has even come close to the care and attention weve enjoyed at this hospital- theyre the best! Our dog has gotten everything from minor check-ups to medications to a major tumor removal surgery here, and theyve always shown us nothing but kind and intentional care. Dr. Reza Moazzen in particular has done a fantastic job of keeping up with our dog and checking in on us, and worked with a great surgeon to remove his tumor. Hes also very empathetic and understanding when it comes to pricing, and there are multiple times where hes given us discounts or small extra things like cleaning wipes to help alleviate the cost. Truly just an all-around great experience, couldnt recommend it enough! Thank you to everyone that works there!

Dr. Reza is by far the best vet we have ever had! He treats our dog like his own, is so sweet with her, and she absolutely loves seeing him. He listens intently, never rushes us, and asks plenty of questions. He genuinely cares for every animal he treats, and we will always bring our fur babies to him. We followed him over from Banfield because we simply cant find better care. The facilities are outstanding! Everything is new, clean, and top of the line. They really make both the people and the pets feel welcomed and comfortable during the visit.
My Bailey was attacked by a Coyote on Tuesday night around 8:30 pm when all the vets around are closed. I called this place and asked if I can go over because my dog was bleeding and crying in pain, eventhought they were gonna close in 30 minutes they still accepted us.At the time I got there they immediately took my dog to the back and started the medical care, unlike all other vets I saw before, they did not put my pet’s health on hold to ask for my information and credit card information.Dr. Reza is very caring and gentle, he took his time to examine my pet to make sure she is doing fine.They sedated my dog and took care of her wounds. He even gave me his cellphone number incase I have to access him overnight.While I was waiting in their nice lobby I had the chance to talk to one of the assistants, she showed me their schedule and their entire day looked fully booked. Honestly, I was so impressed with how welcoming these people were to us after all other pets they saw that day, they still treated me and my pet like they are doing it for their first appointment of the day, full of energy and positive vibes!I will definitely go back for my pet heath care and recommend this place to people who care about their pets.Thanks Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital

My dog Dottie has bad allergies and I’ve taken her to Banfield for several years for treatment but she seemed to never really get better at least not for long. I decided to bring her to Dr Reza for a second opinion since her latest ear infection was so bad that she was constantly shaking her head and her ears were so red even after just taking her into the vet. I took her in and Dr Reza spent more time and gave me more information than my previous vet ever has. He addressed all of my concerns but even better than that, he offered a treatment that actually worked well! It’s been over a month and she is 100% better and hasn’t had any issues at all. She’s so much happier and so am I! It’s evident that he not only is good at what he does but cares too! Thank you so so much, from me and Dottie!
We went to this animal hospital because we had adopted a dog, and he needed immediate surgery for his infected eye. Dr. Pablo and Dr. Reza were extremely accommodating and appears to genuinely care for my pup as he underwent surgery. Another important thing to mention; that the facility is kept clean and sterile. 10/10, would recommend all pet owners to visit for optimal care.
Warning - do not take your pet here! Dr. Reza and his staff are extremely unprofessional and do not care about the health and wellness of your animal. I took in my 13 week old puppy for a round of shots and when we got home the puppy was in extreme pain and unable to walk. I called the office to ask if thats a normal reaction to the vaccine when I found out that Dr. Reza performed some sort of a manipulation to his hips leaving him unable to walk and screaming in pain. When I expressed my concern for my puppy and asked what to do, the Dr. said that he is a puppy and being dramatic and that if he is still in pain tomorrow to come back for pain meds. Because this poor puppy was in extreme pain I requested the pain meds that night and went back to pick them up. Dr. Reza did not come out to speak with me, did not ask how he was doing nor ask me to bring him in. I was not informed that any such procedure would be done prior to the visit and certainly did not give permission for this. With in the next couple of days I tried calling the office to get an explanation as to what exactly was done and a copy of the records from our visits so that I can have him seen by an orthopedic specialist and still have not received the information, instead received a copy of his record with blatant lies to cover himself for this mistake. Dr. Reza literally wrote on the records that i requested this - how could I request something when I have no idea what was done, the puppy had no pain or issues with his hips? Not once did the receptionist ask how he is doing and I had not been able to speak with Dr. Reza directly. Furthermore, the puppy did not have any problems with his hips, this was a complete fabrication by Dr. Reza, and this manipulation severely injured my puppy.Additionally, throughout this process, I was hung up on a number of times by his extremely rude staff.Be aware that they will rope you in with the puppy package then treat you and your animal like complete dirt. I am in complete and utter shock that someone this cruel and dishonest is licensed to treat animals.
Dr. Reza is the most caring and knowledgeable doctor I have known. My dog had stomach problems, I took him to many doctors but no reason for his problem until I met Dr. Reza and he knew what was the problem by just listening to me before he met Cody. My dog since then never had a problem. He has been my dog’s doctor for years and I recommend him to all the parents out there! He is there for your love ones anytime and he puts his 100% for every single ones.
We do not “shop around” when it comes to our dog’s health. Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital is the best place that we found in California (we lived in the Bay Area before). Dr. Reza is one of the best, most caring doctors we’ve ever met and we feel safe every time we leave our dog with him for any reason.
Update: So went back for another visit with Dr. Pablo.Dr. Pablo is absolutely amazing. Very honest, genuine, informative. Takes his time, you never feel rushed or like a bother. He patiently answers all your questions regardless of how miniscule they may be. Cannot recommend him enough. If i had to rate him 1-10 I would give him a 20!Great 1st time experience at this Vet. Was very honest, kind, and affordable. I will definitely be going back! The girl at the front desk had a great, helpful, friendly attitude. The doctor was professional but very down to earth and understanding. My cat ended up having a cyst which he took care of right away and I got out of there paying much less than I expected. He was very honest and did not try to upsell me on anything. Definitely recommend this Vet!
Highly recommend! I took my newly adopted 9 month old kitten to Dr. Reza Moazzen at his brand new state of the art facility in ALISO VIEJO (old Cosmos location). The convenient location with easy parking is terrific. I had stopped in when they first opened to inquire about grooming services for my dog, which they have only on Wednesdays. The groomer is friendly and caring and she did a good job while being affordable. This service led me to make an appointment for my kitten’s first visit. The front office is so friendly and make you feel like family. They actually called to advise me that they had obtained CareCredit so that I could use the credit card for payment. It’s easy to understand the family feeling once you meet Dr. Reza. All you see is an attentive, caring and knowledge doctor. Be prepare for a hug - his kindness overflows. My kitten and I left feeling wonderfully cared for, no stress just good vibes. I will be taking my dog to Dr. Reza as soon as his BANFIELD membership ends. I’m so happy to have found Dr. Reza and his team.
I took my dog for dental cleaning and some extractions to Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital, I strongly recommend this hospital to all the animal lovers and pet owners. This hospital is incredible! My nurse that took care of my babies (Doc & Rori) was amazing! Her name is Brookelyn I believe? She was very detail oriented and thorough! Overpriced. Make sure you do some research with other Veterinarians. There’s other places in AV that provide the same services without the price tag. Package price for puppy care was $957.00 but I found another local place for $300.00 less. Same vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, pre-anesthetic blood work, etc. I liked that the other place I chose provided a pet folder, list of everything needed, documentation to help with my new puppy on training, emergency services, etc. AV animal hospital gave me a hand written piece of paper and that was it. I’m really organized and I liked the pet folder. This place was ok, nothing that made it stand out.
The doctors are very thorough and the staff are compassionate and super helpful.
We brought our 18 year old pig Gizmo in for a bad cough . Doc Pablo and Henry were a great team. Very professional and courteous , my girlfriend was very upset having an old dog fearing the worst. Doc Pablo was very kind , patient and understanding . Made great recommendations and allowed us to make decisions concerning Gizmos health. Dr. Moazzen and his staff are excellent!!! They were welcoming the moment I walk through their doors. The check-in process was a breeze and I was able to wait comfortably in the modern lobby. Dr. Moazzen listened attentively while I explained the reason for bringing our dog in to see him. He then explained what he would need to do to determine a diagnosis. He was very gentle and caring with our dog. He examined our dog and clearly communicated his diagnosis and recommendations. I had a great experience and would highly recommend anyone looking for a caring, sincere, and knowledgeable Veterinarian and staff in South OC! Please take your animal family to someone who knows what they are doing!Pros: They were nice and professional. The facility is clean and looks nice.Cons: The knowledge seems to be severely lacking.We brought our 20 year old cat in on the weekend as our normal vet is closed on the weekends. She was in pain and had blood in her urine. They took a urine draw and found bacteria using their in house lab. They tell us it is a urinary tract infection and give us 10 days of antibiotics to give to her. We do this for 10 days and within a week after stopping the meds the blood is back and worse. So we take her back here as they know the history of this problem. They try another urine draw, unsuccessfully, and give her a pain med injection (Meloxicam). They send us home with 5 more doses of the same. Knowing that she was 20 years old and had blood in the urine, they never considered there could be kidney problems. Here is the warning from FDA.gov about MeloxicamRepeated use of meloxicam in cats has been associated with acute renal failure and death. Do not administer additional injectable or oral meloxicam to cats.After this injection our cat was never the same again and died a very short time later. In the 10-20 minutes they had her, she changed to the negative in an extreme way. The next day after this injection I took her to our usual vet. He felt her kidneys physically and he did blood and urine work. He immediately knew the problem, but wanted to confirm it. She was in late stage chronic kidney failure and she was given an acute kidney punch with the meloxicam. We lost an entire month of kidney treatments for her from the very beginning because the thought of a possible kidney problem was never considered. There was never a thought of doing blood work or sending the urine to a lab in the beginning. Then a very controversial drug was injected into her. I dont know if its lack of knowledge or lack of caring, either way do right for your animal family and go elsewhere. Our personal vet, Dr. Pat at Rancho Niguel Animal Hospital, has been awesome. The best weekend vet I have found is Laguna Hills Animal Hospital.

I have followed Dr Reza from location to location when he was with a bug box chain vet. He is the only one who helped with my dogs seizures unlike any other vet I saw before him. Now he owns his own practice where our pets are treated like family and not a number.

Dr. Reza spayed our beloved Bella when she was only not more than 6 months old. Dr. Reza walked us through the surgery in the morning and explained all the steps that he needed to take to complete the procedure.Right before the surgery we got a call from him about two of Bellas teeth that needed to be removed sooner or later but he suggested to remove them during spay surgery to avoid another general anesthesia.We are very happy and grateful to Dr. Reza and his team for thinking about wellbeing of our little Bella and also avoiding another general anesthesia to just remove those teeth.Dr. Reza called us two more times after the procedure to update us on Bellas condition till we pick her up in the afternoon. Very professional and Thoughtful.Thanks for taking good car of our babe girl
AVAH was so kind when I had an urgent issue with my injured cat yesterday. They were very patient and kind and welcoming, and did a lovely job of taking care of her and reassuring me of what was going on, next steps, costs, and everything else. They were very gentle and sweet with my rather irate cat, and made a very stressful evening much more manageable.
I highly recommend this animal clinic. The staff is so professional , kind and compassionate. The facilities are state of the art so I believe my pet is getting the best care. And, to top it off, they are quite reasonably priced.

2022-06-07I have been going to Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital for a few years now, and I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else! The service and professionalism is top-notch, and they truly care about your pet’s health and well-being. In the few years I’ve been taking my senior dog there, her overall health and quality of life has improved substantially. Dr Reza and the team are the best and I’m so glad I found this place.

2021-12-28We have three rescue dogs: Pablo, Frankie and Gus. Providing them with the most excellent care is very important to us. When Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital opened, we decided to give them a try. I’m so glad we did! Our pups are provided with amazing care there! Their extended hours allow for early/late appointments and the staff is friendly and professional.Dr. Reza truly loves the animals he takes care of, and it shows. We just had Gus in today after boarding him somewhere for 9 days - and him coming out sick. Gus was lethargic, wouldn’t eat or drink and was vomiting. Dr. Reza saw Gus right away! He went over his treatment plan with us, that started with the minimum cost, and then go from there. He kept in touch with us all day, and without boring you with Gus’s situation, he came home tonight a BRAND NEW DOG - as healthy as can be!We’ll continue to use and recommend Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital! Give them a try!

2020-09-06Hands down the best vet office around.Dr. Reza and Dr. G are very Honest, knowledgable, proffesional and caring. They treat your dog like their owns.Staff are very welcoming, and professional.Unlike other vet offices it does not smell like urine. Their waiting area looks like and SPA and smells super clean. Every time I go in there is someone cleaning the office.They have 3 big TVs and a nice coffee maker to keep you entertained and comfortable while you are waiting; However, my waiting time has never been more than 5 minutes.Danielle and Erica both have done great job grooming my dog.

2021-05-29Hands down the best clinic! I will not take my dog anywhere else. I live 15 miles away and will make that drive to be seen by the one I really trust. Dr. Reza is the kindest and is so very knowledgeable. The patient and owner get treated like family. And it does not stop there. The staff is amazing. They make you feel right at home. I know my pup is in great hands here.
