Cashiers yelling at customers to READ THE SIGNS, PEOPLE! MAKE TWO LINES!. This isnt a single occurrence, theyve been yelling every time Ive shopped there for the last month since they decided to switch to multi-queue system. The new change causes confusion when a new lane opens, frustrating the staff to the point of yelling, and more importantly, the customers are literally being yelled at in a grocery store. (Not me, specifically, just generally in the direction of queued customers)The single queue is more efficient, reducing the average wait time of all customers. Its done wherever it matters - entering customs when arriving into the U.S., the DMV, the bank, pharmacies... even H&M or Ross. Its taken away two of the three reasons I prefer to shop there - fast checkout and friendly staff. If I have to listen to yelling cashiers and a slow checkout, Im just left with low prices, which isnt worth the drive because Grocery Outlet also exists without all the yelling
The store was fairly organized. I liked the prices, though most of it was off brand stuff. My first visit at an Aldi by the way. I wasnt thrilled that I had to use a quarter for a cart because I wasnt prepared for it but I do think its a good way to keep their carts around. Employees were fairly helpful and shelves were organized enough. Everything was pretty easy to find with the signs. I like the store honestly, just was looking a little empty on the shelves and was small so lacked a lot of variety in my opinion.
Same as in Europe! You need a coin to get a cart, you have access to a great variety of produce and products at competitive prices without the use coupons, and you must pack your groceries yourself too! The aisles are simply arranged which explains the prices. You can find many unique items such as chocolates from Belgium, specialty pastries from Germany... Most of which is seasonal, but its fun to look for.Kind staff. Even despite the inflation, still a good place to stop for reasonable snacks, milk and cereals.
It was first time going here. I didnt even know it existed. They have some fairly good deals grocery wise, and they have a decent variety of selections/items. The store is pretty run down feeling though; not too clean or organized. I wouldnt make it my go to store to shop for the week or month but its great if you get caught without much in the house by way of food and you need to grab some things to get by for a minute at an alright price.really 🤪
Their ice cream is good & reasonably priced. The Choc Covered Banana Slices for $2 is awesome. So So good.Employees are very polite. They are helpful when Im looking for item that they may or may not have. Aisle are very wide, so you dont feel cramped together. Also the shelves height is such that you can see from the front to the back of the store. Makes me feel invited when you enter and are not sure which way you want to proceed. But now that I discovered these awesome Choc Covered Banana slices ( $ 1.99 ) in the frozen section , I will definitely be heading to the freezer section first.I only discovered Aldi because it is next door to Pet Smart and my cat 🐱 favorite wet food is there. And I walked into Aldi to look around and see what items they carry .lots of parking , very helpful employees.I need to try the Aldi milk ? If tasty then I will definitely come shop here for quick items.
Ever since I heard about this place I come here for all my grocery shopping. Good quality, good prices. The staff are great. Ill never go back to Vons or Walmart again. Those stores exploit the customer. Stop paying an arm and a leg and come to Aldi youll love this place.
Nice store but when I get help by any female there they are very rude. I ask a male or a male is my cashier and they are so polite they ask how’s your day going etc. The females throw your stuff in the carts, and just want you out of there not even have a good day more like get the heck out. Train your female workers to be nicer, more polite and welcoming. Don’t throw the stuff in the cart cause than I’m stuck going to get new eggs, cause you cracked them etc. (An example Of what happened today) would love to have a better experience :)
My favorite grocery store. For me I have to drive a bit out of my way to get here. But, its worth it for the reasonably priced organic food. The amazing selection of cheese and charcuterie, and all the treats in the frozen aisle. I made a roast duck recently! All the basics under one roof. Great prices. Bring a quarter for the cart when you come. Its amazing how the quarter means that people put their cart back where it belongs instead of leaving it in the parking put to scratch your paint job, and take up parking stalls, all for .25 cents. Money is the great motivator of humanity. :-)
Quality of products is excellent and superior to many other markets. Never frozen on many meat products enhances flavor and texture. Also lasts longer in the fridge. Pricing on products very competitive. You dont have to buy 2 gals of milk to get the very competitive price. This is very good for seniors who dont use large quantities.
This place is so underrated, super cheap, they have everything you could need and ON TOP of the already cheap prices they have sales on important things like milk and eggs. The products are obviously not name brand like in Walmart, doesn’t take a genius to figure that out but they are equally as good and way cheaper.
Very great prices and great variety to choose from. This place has great finds however they rotate their merchandise so there can be times where your favorite item is no longer available. Slight inconvenience, but it doesnt compare to all the options and great finds one can get when they shop here. The cashiers are very fast too so you wont be stuck waiting for very long. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you want great deals, this is definitely a place to shop.
Being a savvy consumer that I am I know what stores have certain products for their given prices. When Im running low on those products I hit the particular stores that have them the cheapest. Ald i never seems to fail having good quality products at the lowest prices. When my pantry is empty I shall return!
My first time shopping at ALDI. It was ok, I had family members and Friends say it was better than some of the other super markets I usually shop. This was not my experience, it was disorganized and they did not have the items I needed for my kids lunch. Prices are good, but I dont like shopping at multiple places just to save a few dollars. Convenience is worth a lot more to me. Also, the cashier wasnt friendly at all, her focus was to get you out of her line as fast as possible. Overall, price is ok but not enough for me to change my grocery shopping store. Sorry ALDI.
Nice and clean large selection of discounted groceries. Quality on some things is amazing and on something just ok. You have to just try their brand and some are just as good as the leading national brands and others fall short. We have found some products we like and others we will not buy again.
The Chula Vista ALDI location is a blessing without even knowing it. This little tucked away grocery store. In the KOHLS shopping center. Located off of east main street and the south bound 805 freeway. They have amazing prices! Delicious chocolate chip cookies for .85. As well as a dozen eggs for under 1.50! There sliced american cheese for sandwiches also under 1.50 is so GOOD. I wasnt sure how it was going to taste for being so cheap. I usually buy the name brand. Early on in the PANDEMIIC SHUT DOWN I had no choice but to buy this sloced american cheese i had never heard of before. And I have to tell you there were other items as well. The eggs, bread, cheese, condiments ,cereal, vehetables frozen and fresh, produce as well. All were GREAT!!! They also carry BEER and WINE. Not to mention a small organic section. The meat selection is also impressive from fresh to packaged. Baking products, fresh pies, pastries also. Tortillas, chorizo, didnt find any refried beans on this trip but i have before. So sometimes you might not find an item but its made up by anther find. Like .42 cent cans of tuna. Or .39 cent a pound of bananas. Overall ALDI IS AMAZING!!!!
All these is a store Im familiar with out of Gary Indiana never really shop there before but a friend of mine told me that I can find date syrup and possibly some other organic items that Ive been looking for successful I found a date syrup and a few other items to boot so I guess Ill be hanging around Aldis to see what organic items they have
I like that they have healthy selections for most of their foods with the exception of some beverages contain HIGH Fructose corn syrup!!! Look closely at the juices are not really juices. In most parts of Europe, the government bans poisons from edible products. If the goverment in the United States does not want to do it, then ALDI step up and protect your customers from products containing chemicals harmful to our health. Simply DONT stock them on your shelves
I save so much money shopping here! Two weeks worth of groceries for two people costs, on average, a little over a hundred dollars. Thats including meat, vegetables, drinks, canned and frozen items, and snacks. I love it. The most Ive ever spent on one trip was about two hundred dollars, and that was a stacked-full carts worth of items.
Aldi had good prices. Just horrible cashier service. Even when I have an open bag that stands up in my cart they just throw the stuff next to it! It wouldn’t take any extra time to put it a few centimeters right into my bag! Shame on the management for taking the power of common sense away from their employees!
It is a different style of supermarket and has great prices. Lots of varieties and some European brands or brands that you never heard of it. Good quality on most of the products. I have been in few of Aldi in Europe and really like it, but it has more stuff and seems better as well. Give a try!
# 18 for 2019San Diego is privileged to have lots of alternate food store carrying reduced priced items. Aldis I such as the very best. This is my goto supermarket for fundamental things. The prices right here are amazing. And also, there are bargains every now and then. They maintain you on your toes to truly conserve. What are several of those deals? Well, let me inform you. Today I grabbed a bag of hotdog buns, 8pk, for a quarter. A gallon of milk for $2.65. Container of eggs for $.98. As well as, the offers go on as well as on. Check it out yourself and also start saving. To utilize their carts it will take a quarter however you get it back when you return. I simply use the bags I bring. Customer support is great most of the time. Seems to be just one cashier whenever we go. I like that whatever is well stocked and also clean. The fruits as well as vegetables are of top quality too. Love obtaining black berries as well as blue berries for $1.50. Browse the web to see their regular advertisements. They are doing home deliveries now as well. Examine their web site for more details.
Aldi has become my first choice for grocery shopping. The prices for the items I want are inexpensive and are high quality. You just have to not be stuck on brand names. To save money they have you deposit a quarter in the shopping carts. You also have to bag your own groceries.. So dont forget a quarter or your shopping bags.
Cashier Karrina was telling me not bagging until shes finished scanning all items SOOOOOO RUDELY. They need to train staff there what the real customer services are. I like most of products at ALDI but not all staff there are nice and welcoming you and nobody should not be treated like trash. :(
Very nice any Aldi in any state I been to its been great they have great prices and there brand is good of course just like other places they do have some expensive things as well but u can also see specials they have and as a consumer thats the beauty we can go shop anywhere we like and see some differences and also in the customer/guest services
25cents to use their shopping carts? No free plastic bags? No available hand-carried carts? What senior citizen would want to shop here? What genius thought of this stupid nickel-diming the customer idea? Im giving this place another six months then it will close. And good riddance too!!!!
This is a much better different to buying Walmart Produce. They provide fruits and also veggies at sensible rates as well as are remarkably inexpensive yet good.A Pack of strawberries is normally 3-5 United States Dollars. But right here, it is $1. -Not that Several European products as one might expectAnd those are rather a lot the deets.Hope You take pleasure in going shopping at Aldis.
The cashier Alejandro was short with customers and rude when he informed us our cuopon did not applied after we had already paid for our items. Previously we had purchased the same items and the cuopon was respected. Prices are good, customer service needs to be assessed. Losing a customer over a $5 off cuopon doesn’t make business.
I started following ALDI meal plans on Pinterest a while back. They opened one close to where I live. I cant see myself buying food anywhere else. The brands they carry have a double guarantee, meaning if youre not satisfied, they give you the item and a refund. Ive tried a lot of their brands, from pita chips to almond milk to spaghetti sauce to beer. Its all legit. It doesnt feel like Im sacrificing anything, but there is definitely a difference in the food bill. They have an app on Google play that lets you see the weekly circular and upcoming sales. Im a customer for life.

2022-02-06We have been grocery shoppinh at Aldi for almost 3 years now. My wife really likes it, the place is well maintained, and there is always good stuff available. Every now and then we do curbside pick like this time and we love it honestly. It is very convenient since my wife is pregnant at this time. The customer service is great and the cashiers work really fast. Overall, a solid place for grocery shopping.

2022-07-16Aldi always has enough staple items at a good price to throw some decent meals together. There prices for many items are still close to the same even with recent inflation fluctuations that have been ongoing. It also helps that there food is always fresh and not near ( past) the sell by date that their immediate low priced competition, that will remain un-named, has a tendency to keep on their shelves.

2022-03-28First time shopping here and i had high expectations being that this location was in East Chula Vista. Well this store is smaller that the one of of C st and Highland Ave and was not as stocked as i would of liked. The store was messy and needs more cashiers.

2022-04-10Great groceries at great prices. Many of the selections change weekly but you can always count on good meat prices & fresh veggies along w many frozen goods. They also have canned goods, etc & a few aisles for household goods such as rugs, small appliances & other goods. For fresh veggies & dairy these are some of the best prices in town. Rarely crowded.

2022-02-27Wow, what has happened to this store? Its a perpetual mess now. Empty shelves all over the place, no produce bags, trash always by the carts, empty boxes kicking around the aisles, food on the floor, etc. There never seems to be enough staff on hand too. Corporate needs to seriously step in and provide adequate support to this location and its team, its really gone downhill.

2022-03-04There are two Aldi stores in the South of San Diego area. This one is closer to the 805, so its very convenient for this area. Most produce and Meets are local, which I personally like and support. Not the same case with chocolats and pastries, since you can find them delicious from Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland, etc.nothing wrong to that 😋.Not too convenient to get here by bus because stops are not to close. There is plenty of parking space.

2022-01-18Was my go-to until I realized ALL the over charges! Check your receipt people! COVID is no excuse for overcharging consumers! They have a good selection and what I “thought” were good prices…It happens regularly.

2021-12-19Aldi never lets me down. Solid basic grocery store with a seasonal aisle that is almost impossible to say no to. The staff here works really hard and has always been very kind and helpful in my experience... And Ive shopped here since it opened about 3+ years ago! Keep up the good work guys 👍
