Update on my recent experience. Said hi to female cashier. She did not reply but was rude and had an attitude. She threw my items in the cart after scanning them. Will be the last time shopping at this location. They still dont carry chicken drumsticks at this location and no soymilk.Staff is very polite and friendly. Quality items and prices are lower compare to other markets. Was born and grew up in Europe so I love that they have items like chocolate, cheese and sausages from Europe. I usually try to do most of my shopping here. They dont have the family pack of drumsticks at this location. Meat and poultry are packaged smaller here as well. Still very happy with my shopping experience.
Yes its just another bargain grocery store but also has advantages of its own. The wine selection is better than Grocery Outlet as is the selection of almost everything else. Meat selection is a bit poor though but of good quality. More crowded and you bag your own groceries-hence the low prices. Good quality produce and quite cheap, a large frozen food section. Canned and jarred goods galore and many no name brands that seem to be of adequate quality-like soups, dressings, cereal, condiments etc. Also they have a fair selection of organic produce at decent prices.
This location today appears way under staffed, there was only 1 cashier working and 14 people in line. The 1. Cashier was trying hard to the line moving fast but this caused stress and anxiety as he rushed me to load my bag as he kept putting my purchases on top of my bag as he was already ringing up the next customer. He told me sorry but he has to get the line moving. My advice is try another Aldi or store all together untill this Aldi gets more cashiers hired, or go at a slower time of day. When that is is not around 1pm today. Enjoy
Took my Sons future Mother-in-Law, you know, thee other Grama to our Grandson Daniel. She went to pick up a duffle bag on wheels they have advertised in this weeks deals. Well, honesty Im not an Aldi fan. Never have been. Idk if its because the checkers have to sit. Idk?? Ive just found that unusual and or disrespectful. I did however a pill cutter, pill crusher in one for $3.79.* Also a key chain with a pill to go attached canister for $3.79 as well. Usually, most ever find the sale items, there usually gone the first day around noon time. The Mens Restroom needed a little attention. So the Moral of this story is good luck finding what you seek from this establishment and use the restroom before leaving your home. Just a heads up. Thank you for Listening and reading my reviews. Peace to all.
I like this Aldi for being near a big plaza. Like all Aldi they have the cart quarter system and clean bathrooms, great prices for their groceries with fast checkout. Its a bit busier than other Aldi sometimes things are out of stock but like any grocery theyll be back next week. Overall I prefer Aldi over Walmart.Lots of parking, nice bathrooms, cheap decent to great items, fast service.
I absolutely love Aldis. I will never buy snacks again anywhere else! I buy something once to test it out and if we love it, we buy it every time. So far the quality of everything weve tried has been consistently excellent. The prices are way cheaper than any market weve shopped. I love the variety of organic and specialty products and am also glad to be able to buy the regular staples here as well. We are customers for life.
Yesterday was my first time shopping here in Alhambra...I love it, and I love that I can finally afford quality and healthy food....God bless you guys for all that and I was very surprised and pleased to see your cashiers being able to sit down, I wish I had that when I worked as a cashier, feet hurt lol...¡Hire me! The staff is very nice, thats another thing I liked...¡Oh! And also the counter to pack our stuff...Loved it ...will return 😃
Wow first time here and last. Extremely rude service & very unfriendly. From the little boy outside next to the carts to the cashiers to the manager. They all had some nasty attitudes. Not just to me but other customers as well.& to the little cart boy, instead of standing there just staring at people rolling your eyes explain to them what they need to do, it was my first time here and did not know that I had to put a quarter in the cart to use it. There’s this thing called words, you use them to explain things to people. Have fun pushing carts 🙂
Never knew of this supermarket until I stumbled in Arcadia. Love that it had your main essentials for cheap prices! The quality isnt bad either. I saw some stuff were cheaper than Costco and I didnt have to buy in bulk. I came in on a Saturday weekend and wasnt crowded. Would definitely come back and stock up!
Definitely a different type of grocery store than the typical ones we have in the US. Most of the products are generic brands but are just as good and for a fraction of the price. They also have a bunch of other random household items for sale that a lot of people say are good quality. I once even saw an electric pellet smoker. Overall for the price Aldi is awesome.
I like this place, the cashiers are quick, the items are not all big brands but the quality is pretty good. The prices are lower than many stores. Shopping Carts require a quarter but you get it back if you return the cart. Bring your own shopping bags or purchase some inside.
The store has a relaxed approach to face masks that I don’t appreciate. Just during today’s visit I I saw two individuals not wearing masks while they were talking, and touching produce. I Brought this issue up to an employee’s attention only to continue to see both people parading around, and laughing while touching cheese and other products. This is not ok! Employees were seeing these two separate individuals and did nothing! As a healthcare professional I’m appalled, that so many people think is a joke. And most importantly that employees and store management allow this behavior.
Great warehouse prices without warehouse quantities!Produce depends on season and their suppliers but whatever they carry so far are fresh and fruits are sweet.People may have misconception of cheap = low quality but that is definitely not the case at Aldi.If youre on a budget, dont have time to stop at several markets for deals, but want quality produce to prepare your meals thats the place to go.
Really great prices. There are lots of prepackaged foods.I think you should still shop around for produce, but canned, dry, dairy, eggs, and meat are at an acceptable cost here.Really good selection of gluten free items for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity.
Aldi is known for their store brand goods that are as good as, if not better than, the originals like Costcos Kirkland brand. They have girl scout cookies year round at a fraction of the price! You can get most of your usual stuff here at a much better price since youre not paying a premium because of the name. Definitely come to Aldi if you want to save some money but dont want to give up quality.
Love this store. I used to shop here when I lived in NC. When I found out they were opening stores here in Cali I was thrilled! The store Is super clean, the staff is friendly, and there are so many bargains. I am so happy to be saving so much money. Having to bag groceries along with the quarter cart system are really such minor inconveniences compared to all you save shopping here. I like how they have all the essentials that most people buy along with some very unique items. I wish ALDI much success in California.
This is my go-to grocery store I do most of my shopping here for filling up my pantry and so on. The meat is fantastic here and at a great price, cheese lunch meat Dairy eggs are all fantastic with lots of organic items to choose from. The one thing it is lacking is a good produce department produce said oldies is unfortunately subpar.
Its a cool store only problem is they were restocking and they had a boxes scattered all over the floor blocking an entire aisle and they were in no rush to clean up the mess her prices are pretty good and they have a great idea to get people to bring the baskets back by making you insert a quarter into the basket thingy to release it when youre done you get your quarterback the checker put your items back into the basket and then you go over to a table and bag them they get you out of the way really quick
I like Aldi. Theyre hardly ever crowded so you dont wait in line long. For people who are only into name brands, this might not be the place. However, if you like saving money and like trying new things, the place is great. They have a variety of breads, cheeses, baking goods, etc. I go there for my turkey bacon. Its inexpensive, cooks nicely and it tastes good. I have also found some interesting and enjoyable cheeses, among other things.
Number one, remember to bring a quarter so you can rent a cart. You also have to bag your own groceries so bring bags or boxes. This is the reason my review is not a 5 star. That aside, best prices on dairy products, eggs and bananas I have seen in years. This place is cheaper than Walmart. I bought large eggs for .88 a dozen on special. I went back a few days later and eggs were 1.39 which is still a bargain. More bargains: Half/Half, 1.99 Qt.: 2% milk for 2.25 gal.: butter for 2.49 lb.; Ground beef for 1.99 lb., I think was 75% fat or whatever the rating is. The store is not all big so the selection is small but who cares for these prices. Staff was helpful, store very clean. There are also bargains on merchandise that are pretty good too.Aldis is going to be my first stop on grocery day, I will get what I can there and then go somewhere else for the rest. Prices are really the best I have seen in a very very long time. Well worth the trip!
Beware. Today an employee was telling everyone to form one line! Diverting people to pass closely by each other. Employees arent even following their own posted signs. Customers are clueless and no one is saying anything about it. I did and was ignored. There is also no such thing as one way isles. Customers walk freely about two ways.
Aldi is great store for groceries. The prices are fair when compared to other stores. All you get there is meat, fruits, vegetables and dairy. I feel they are add lot more veggies because u just find some basic stuff. Store is not too much crowded and have a decent parking space.
Affordable organic food and just plain cheap for other stuff without sacrificing quality. I love that every week they have random stuff from toys to housewares and misc clothing items...never know what to expect. Downside is you have to bag your own items but Ill take that tradeoff for cheaper groceries
#1) I Give 5 Star Strictly On Their Extremely Low to Reasonable Prices are their Fruits, Vegetables, Breakfast Cereals, Snacks like Chips, Cookies, Candy, etc#2) Their Customer Service Needs A lot of Work!! When Aldis 1st Opened, it was somewhat Decent, That has Been Long Gone!! Customer Service Needs a lot of Work!! Such as Greet Customers, Thank customers, Friendly Smile, Willing to Help, I dont see that at all 🤔 Therefore I Give 1 Star Rating for Customer Service Skills!
Great prices, great quality, and I get to bag my own groceries. Im so tired of these idiots that jam as much as they can into one bag when you clearly have 4 or 5 bags with you.I know I save at least 50% over shopping at Ralphs or Pavilions or Albertsons. Keep up the good work Aldi. I hope you dont go the way of Fresh & Easy because that was a great store too and I really miss it. This is by far the best thing since they went out of business.
Aldi is like Trader Joes and Smart & Final over-achieving child... Good interesting stuff like in TJs but not imported and a warehouse feel like S&F, but smaller and way cheaper than both. They dont carry national brands but what they have has been great so far.My new favorite store. Salads, soups and cheese have great prices.
I love Aldis they have them back in Chicago and I liked shopping there I use to go there with my daughter in law Melissa so when I heard they were opening up out here I was excited about it therefore Im there often to see what they have . So yes I give it a 5 star review.
I come here at least once/wk for a few things that are priced amazing after swinging by Trader Joes for most of my organic veggies. At Aldi Ive been getting (non organic): whole milk ($2.35 gallon), cherries ($1.99lb), and Lg. Watermelon ($2.49 ea) regularly for the summer and today I found cherry kefir on sale for $1.40 qt- normally $2.89. I love that there are no carts in the parking lot because most people return them to get their quarter back. Its a small warehouse feel (nothing fancy) but great to save the money. They dont have a huge selection of food so I still go to Costco for eggs, bread, chicken, etc. I like that they dont give out plastic bags -more sustainable and faster service for them to put in cart. I bring 2 large insulated bags and pack it myself. In and out quick and easy enough and love the savings! Great place if you dont mind going to a few different stores to get what you love at each place.
The first time I tried all the food I thought it was cheap and none flavorful I guess that was in my mind because the next time I went I like everything and will continue to shop there I love the prices and I love all the extra goodies they have I probably bought most of the things they sell like housewares hope to see you there
The produce is hit or miss. I have been in there when they first open and they had moldy produce on the shelves with fruit flies and other times its good.I like the store ok for the basics but its not somewhere I can shop exclusively so I only go there when I need to go somewhere else in that center to make it worth my time.
This place os a no frills spot. Pretty good one-stop shop! All types of grocery products. Meat, veggies, fresh/frozen, breads, dairy, beverages of all types and lots of non-perishables and prepared items too. Just stopped in to see what they offered, and came out with a large bag of groceries. Ill go back to do some real shopping
The prices are lower than other markets, but most of the items are ADIDAS brand. But if you dont like the ALDI ITEM THEY WILL REFUND YOUR MONEY, AND ALSOGIVE YOU A NEW ITEM, THAT IS THE SAME ONE THAT YOU GOT THE REFUNDON, YOU CANT LOSE, SO GO AHEAD.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.THANKS FOR READING THIS POST.GLENN OF ARCADIA.
ALDI is from Europe (Germany?). Its business model is to sell unknown-brand/private label stuff cheaply. So if you like your brand names, dont go here. But sometimes there are pretty good deals on avocados, eggs, and other groceries. Its a small store closer in size to a drugstore than a Vons or Ralphs. Shopping carts require a quarter to operate (you get it back when you return the cart).
Aldi is a solid store carrying most grocery staples and will have random gems if youre paying attention. If there are certain brands or specific items youre married to, you might want to look elsewhere, but if youre just looking for groceries, snacks, etc., this is a wonderful place to go.
I wish I had an Aldi closer. My daughter is allergic to wheat and Aldi carries a line of gluten free items that are reasonably priced, although Im not a fan of the GF all purpose flour. Goods are very reasonably priced and offer most basic necessities. My one gripe is their checkout process. As you get rung up, your items get transferred to a cart that you roll away to a shelf on the side so you can bag your stuff yourself and then return the cart. Its not a great experience.
Nooooope. Nope, nope, nope, nope.Okay. I have heard about this market as a viable alternative to TJs. First off, I wasnt aware we needed one, but thats okay. Competition is good. That said, this Aldi kinda sucks. My first time there I was disappointed by the produce selection... Stuff seemed to be all over the place. The section with signage for Grains? Yeah, there were no grains there. This place sooo does not seem ready for prime time. I bought some produce, came out to about nine smacks to the face (dollars). When checking out I was told by the cashier that CVS carts were not allowed. Thats fair. I didnt notice it. However, thats not MY problem. Its Aldi and CVSs problem. Fix it. Partner up, dont tell ME about it. Id just as soon spend my dollars elsewhere. And I will.Trader Joes has nothing to worry about.
Aldi has a decent selection of products but sometimes it feels like theres a lot of space between the aisles, which make it feel kind of not as well stocked in variety as other grocery stores. I bought the sweetest watermelon Ive ever had during a past visit to this store, but its highly unlikely theyll keep stocking melons from the same patch. No one has mentioned it, but be warned -- there is a lot of static in this store. Maybe its from a lack or humidity, dont know, but get ready for pain whenever you return to your cart or have to open a freezer door. On my first visit, I overheard a stranger cursed more than I did from all the shocks he got. Maybe get a pair of rubber gloves if you absolutely hate static shocks.

2022-05-29Aldi is the way to go for all stores. They offer fresh produce, dairy and so much more. And a wide selection of other items. The stores do lack consistency. Everything in these stores is very reasonably priced. If you are on a tight budget but would still prefer organic/Gluten-free/ Vegan options you must give them a try. Always very friendly staff and fast service.

2018-08-26Cleaned and very organized, red grape was only .79 a lbs. as the banana just .29 lbs. you just not beat that , others items were also on sale this week in the store. Obviously, they have sale every week. They also added more items in the store from regular to organic produces. Every Aldi store you came in the services and the cleanliness were the same and the workers were also warm, welcome and professional.

2021-12-26I love this place. I love the Aldi deals. The food is also decently priced. It’s a clean and convenient store. Not too big and not too small. Just perfect. Plenty of parking. Easy to get in and out. Public restrooms. Carts cost a deposit of a quarter coin, which I like because it doesn’t cause a mess in the parking lot and a car won’t ding my car. They save money from hiring an employee just to collect them and those prices are extended to our grocery / household item prices. ALDI does offer some awesome products but you’ve got to buy it right away as it’s limited. I think merchandising / marketing is very smart. I actually prefer this store over Trader Joe’s even though it’s from the same family. Although, Trader Joe’s does have its nice specialty items when it comes to food. Don’t expect a lot of customer service here except at the cashier, but the store is small enough that you can find most things fast. If it’s not on the shelf, it’s just sold out. Tough luck and just wait for their next great deals. Their easy home product warranties are great! Keep doing what you’re doing ALDI. You’re my perfect store!

2022-02-06Great prices! Quality foods. They have a lot of their store brand items, but they are usually pretty good & of the same quality of named brand items for half the price.

2019-10-05Good prices for good quality products, both name brand and proprietary. Self service small market. Breads are $0.89 to $1.79! Self bake pizza 16 Is only $5.99 to $6.99! Dozen eggs only $0.99! Good quality cheese and snacks as well. One of my current favorites is their Clancys brand Roasted Sweet Corn Popcorn! Delicious! These are good quality, mind you, not some cheap 99 cents store stuff. Remember to bring your own bags and a quarter for the shopping cart which youll get back after you return the cart!

2022-04-26They have really good prices on items you might like. They do not carry national brands on all groceries, but you can try their supply not all bad..

2022-05-11Worst experience ever. The cashier rung up everything wrong then had to call a very rude manager to void out the pasta salad six times. Such a bad experience. I would not recommend coming here.

2022-05-01They get some pretty cool stuff here...I love to check the ads before the sale because you have to get items the first day of sale or they will be out

2018-06-12A small super market where you could get all useful daily needful items stating from groceries, vegetables, dairy products, noodles, beer, juices, bottle, soap etc. have limited counters. Staff is good and co-operative. It have its own parking. Store is spread over in a ground floor and have all useful item but varieties are limited. Good thing is nearby resident societies of huntington drive.

2021-11-25Im from Northern California. We do not have an Aldi near us (they should think about it).I talked a relative into taking me and I have no regrets.I loaded up and brought back items to SF to share with many of my senior neighbors. They want to make a trip down to Arcadia to see for themselves. They especially enjoyed the fig bars, chocolate bars, dry roasted peanutsand dried cranberries.I was down there recently and the turkeys were 87 cents per pound for a Butterball turkey. Before I left LA, the price had dropped to 49 cents for 3 days. There was a run on turkeys. What a bargain. The cheapest price for a pound of Butterball turkey in the Bay Area is $1.99.Cant wait to visit again in the spring.
