Love the pastrami sandwich I had there. No fluff, all meat with great taste! Before the dinner, I went on a strenuous hike near by so I have to get some protein after and this place was exactly what I needed. I also had onion rings on the side and that hit the spot too.I even packed some to go and ate them for midnight snack after 😋
Loved every bite of the melt-in-you-mouth Hot Pastrami Plate which included kishka, latke and coleslaw. We also tried the Big Macher sandwich (corned beef & pastrami with sauerkraut and Swiss on toasted rye) which was equally amazing. I wish I would have saved room for one of their scrumptious looking desserts, but I lost all control with that pastrami.
This place is nice as off the beaten path the sandwiches are extremely expensive but they are so delicious and its always crowded the park date the parking lot has a hitter missing parking but you can usually find something you just gotta check it out yourself part 2 with pictures to follow
GREAT MEAL!GREAT SERVICE!We turned in an order over the phone with very specific requests with Antonio. We not only got it exactly the way we ordered itbut Amanda was all about customer service when we checked out. Did I mention the BESTCorned Beef sandwich EVER!What a breath of fresh air to find both great service and food at the same place...Thank you Antonio & Amanda !
Great food. Everything l have tried is delicious. My daughter had one entree that she did not enjoy. I recommend their nachos. Bring your appetite or a friend who wants to share. I would avoid ordering potato salad or coleslaw as a side dish to sandwiches and items that offer a side dish. These are very small portions and l do mean small. Go for the fries as you get your moneys worth.
Lets just say it did not disappoint. The service was good and fast. The Roast beef sandwich was delicious and fresh. I found out they are part of another deli in Calabasas that I love. If you havent already been to Lovis, I highly recommend both locations. Enjoy! I always do. Good Deli is hard to find now days and they have it!
The food is pretty good but when I went hear with my mom and brother after stopping at yum yum donuts, a waiter, (older guy, probably the assistant manager or something) asked how we were doing, he noticed the donut that may brother had in a bag. He was like ooooh whats this? and stuck in his hand and peaked into the bag right in front of us like he just found it in the parking lot! Then he retreated and was like lemme know if ya need anything! Incredibly rude!
Have been dining at this deli since it was the Oak Tree Deli (40 + yrs) and while the food (during the yrs) has changed, the friendliness, professionalism & integrity has filled the void of past personal connections. I have been lucky to be served by both Nicoles, Alice, & Isaac. Their personal treatment of customers overcomes any probs otherwise experienced. This staff is amazing and will make your dining experience one to enjoy..
Ordered lunch for puck up got there cashier was polite got home and have never been so disappointed from ordering deli food I got the worst pastrami sandwich I have ever had in my life . French roll out tasted like it was 3 days old and you pay extra for the French roll and the sandwich was as dry as the Sahara desert the sandwich came with no extras no condiments and a soggy pickle and soggy steak I would not recommend this deli to any one
Pros: solid deli food, generous portions and wide variety. The servers are all very pleasant and attentive - theyre quick to smile, refill drinks and bring pickles and bagel chips. There is a gorgeous matriarch (think: Diana Ross) who totally classes up the joint (dont tell the others but she and the waiter who looks like Benjamin Bratt are my favorites). Their bakery counter is diverse and they have all the classics covered. The ONLY downside is that sometimes theres a young woman at the hostess stand that has MAJOR RBF, doesnt acknowledge you and acts like shes put out because you have the audacity to want to be seated. Besides her, this place is great!
I came here this morning for breakfast and I had a great experiance. The food was tasty and full of flavor and the service was great. Also if yiu come in take a look around and you will notice it has been remolded recently and looks amazing. The restaurant now features pictures on the walls and ceiling of scenes from movies and celeberties eating. It was a major upgrade from the last time I went. Deserves 5 stars for sure.
The food is wonderful. There are many different options on the menu and it is ok to modify or change things to get just exactly what you want. The staff is very friendly and service is superb. They actually notice when your drink is getting low and bring a refill without you having to ask. Agoura Deli is a great place to dine.
I have been coming to this place since I was a little girl. I pulled one of the waitresss aside today and told her there was a fly landing on pastries in the pastry case. She shrugged and told me it happens. Then I spoke to the manager and she did nothing about it. All the waitresses hovered in the corner laughing after like it was no big deal. The manager Just left all the pastries and cookies there for other customers to eat. She was a tall older white lady with blonde hair. I am very disappointed. 1 waitress name Colby was very sweet and apologetic then explained she had no power to take the things out of the case but was sorry about what I had witnessed. I am a restaurant owner myself and this was just wrong I am truly disgusted and have been a customer since the 80s today the attitude of the manager lost my business! I asked for the owner but they didnt want to give me a number email of take a message.
Advertised as a kosher deli on Yelp, they literally have 1 kosher meat, pre-made salami. $15 for that sandwich btw sky high style , which apparently means it doesnt come dry because without coleslaw and thousand island dressing that you pay extra for that sandwich would be just meat and dry bread, because nothing else was on that sandwich. Another disappointing kosher deli thats overrated and somehow allowed to call themselves a kosher deli that sells pork products. So unless you want that single kosher item or a tuna sandwich , nothing kosher about this place. Sourdough bread was not fresh and fell apart as I ate the plain sandwich that needed a side of thousand island to swallow because it was so dry. Potatoe salad was mediocre and had no flavor. Ill stick to the bagels.
Friendly staff but not service oriented. Took 40min to get a deli platter after two cashiers had to figure out how to ring it in. We had to ask for the status of our order and they had it sitting on the counter for who knows how long because they assumed we left! Don’t think we will be back.
The food at Avouras Famous Deli is always excellent and never disappoints. We had the Matzoball soup and 1/2 corned beef sandwich.Their eclairs are to die for! But you have to diet for about 1 week before and 1 week after you eat one as they are huge and have 1 billion calories!

2021-10-14This place is amazing! From the moment you walk in and being greeted you feel 100% welcome! The two girls working the take out cashier were super friendly and took my order in a timely manner. I heard from a local teacher at Oak Park HS to order the Rueben with extra pickles and I was not disappointed! Big portion size and food was delicious! Will definitely be going back to this awesome deli!

2021-07-05Nice find! Great deli in plaza with adequate parking. The food is top notch! Loved the pickles they give you before your meal. Their sweet potato fries were excellent. And the small salad I ordered was scrumptious! I’m giving 5 stars for the food. But 4 stars for service. Our waitress was friendly. But it took forever to place our orders and forever to get our food. I am usually patient and don’t mind the wait, but this time was a tad little excessive. They also have outdoor patio seating as well. I’ll be back with hubby to try another menu item for sure. Hoping service will be a bit quicker next time.

2022-05-25A true Deli with such a warm and welcome feel. Recent remodel is a nice update but I will miss the Einstein print. It was my Dads favorite booth. Great food with huge servings and the best service

2022-04-09This has always been a 5 star Deli since I was a kid, delicious food and good service. Stopped by today, April 2022 after a several year hiatus and I am sad to say it is going to be my last visit here. Went to grab breakfast with the family, I thought we got lucky when we drove by at 10:45am and the restaurant was half empty, a bowl of oatmeal is $10.95, if I would like a diet coke with it $4. I thought maybe I would try a light lunch, a half a sandwich and a cup of soup, $18.95. I used to love going out to this Deli but now I have zero desire to ever come back. It is sad to see how far this place has fallen.

2022-02-10I just ordered two soups and an ice tea for delivery. Charge was 45.00. I asked, on the app if we could get bagel chips. That’s something they always offer. The order arrives, and… no bagel chips. I call and ask why. Katy, the manager says it’s “ because it was the morning crew” (at 4:30 pm mind you) she gets very defensive and says they don’t always give bagel chips.Katy, a good manager would have been gracious and apologized. Not been defensive and blamed the morning crew-what that has to do with anything I don’t know. I should have gone to Brent’s. This place obviously don’t care about customer service. And the soup was weak and bland. Never again

2019-02-08I would give this place 10 stars if it was allowed. Our waitress was very attentive, even though she had several tables and it was late. The food was absolutely AMAZING! We had a great time and look forward to our next eclairs from here.

2018-10-07The portion is huge. Service is good. Atmosphere is good. But maybe because this is my first time to eat Kosher food I am kind of confused why they taste really bland? Sorry.
