We purchased our first house 3months ago and we’re the corner house so we have some activity throughout the day. Thankfully it’s a neighborhood street so nothing crazy. Anyway we have a decent size backyard and it gets pretty dark back there and even though the previous owners said the neighborhood is really safe and they never had any issues during their 20years there, I couldn’t sleep well thinking someone can jump over our side fence (sidewalk on the other side). So we decided to go with ADT to see if that could ease my mind. Sure enough after installation, come night time I slept like a baby! I feel much better now that we have sensors on all our doors and windows, and two cameras that keep an eye out 24/7. I used to keep waking up cause I would hear random noises on our back yard and I would start having bad thoughts like, is someone out there hiding or things like that, It’s a terrible feeling especially cause we have kids. Now that we have cameras I see that there are cat’s wondering around our house at all times of day/night. With all that being said, it’s been a week since we got ADT and we love it. It really gives you that peace of mind.

We were having trouble setting our alarm system, called the service center and was told that it might be a battery issue. We received the replacement batteries in the mail and still we were not able to set the alarm. So tech Juan Scott of the Riverside branch came to the house (MIND YOU THE SAME DAY). Turned out this was not going to be a easy fix. He worked extremely hard trying to fix the issue. He was here for well over an hour. He did a great great job! He deserves 10 stars instead of just 5.
We have been customers of Brinks which turned into ADT since 1986. We have also paid a monthly monitoring fee every month since 1986. However, we suspected something was wrong with our system about a year ago. We continually called ADT and were continually assured that the system was functioning properly. We continually requested service people to come out and diagnose the system but were informed that we had to pay a fee for this service because the system was operating perfectly. Finally after we continued to get messages of CP, CF, and C1, ADT finally sent a service technician out to check our system yesterday. Guess what, he said the system had not been functioning properly for well over a year And had an alarm gone off neither the police nor the fire department would ever have been sent out. So, every time we called and were told the system functioned perfectly they were lying to us. Thank goodness nothing drastic happened and the police nor fire ever had to be called, because if that were the case the results could have been disastrous. Obviously, we cannot and will not ever recommend ADT to anyone. They lie and they send their work off shore. We canceled.
He was very professional, and patient. He showed the whole family how to use the app and the equipment. He even took the time to go over most of it twice; because my older mother did not quite get it the first time. He was very happy with his delicate touch and patientence. This is another example why I left Brinks to come back to ADT. You should get more just like him.
Ive been with adt security going on 3 yrs now. Ive had a little issue with my doorbell. I had a couple different techs try to help and we thought it was the wi-fi. I had a tech out and he was so absolutely wonderful. He fixed the problem id say id been putting off for months. He came out the same day I called in fact I got the text he was on his way before I got off the phone with them. He came out and fixed the problem with a quickness. Asked if we needed anything if I was able to log in. He showed me things I wasnt so sure of. He was the best tech Ive ever had out from adt before. He made me like having them take care of my security. Thanks adt
ADT friends and family referral is a scam. My sister did exactly what she was informed to do and I never received the code. Each person I spoke to informed me of a different rule (the installation person would give you the code, you would need to call before the installation was done, ctc....) When the installer arrived he advised what he was doing and I said that isnt what I informed the person on the phone. He said the cost they gave me was for in the keypad, smoke detector. Nothing about pins in each window, glass breaks or sliders. We ended up paying double the quoted price....--so beware!! It took him 6 hours to install a wireless system in a 1800 sq ft house. He was on the phone with his friends most of the time!
I have ADT protecting my home for the past 4 years, and their service is outstanding. I recently had a communication error on my panel (which is almost 4 years old) and right away ADT took care of it. Their corpare technician, Yani, was able to resolve quickly and efficiently. He also let me know about current upgrades to my panel and what other options are there through ADT to make my home a smart one. When you do sign up, always call the main phone number online and do not go through a 3rd party dealer. Always ask for a corporate tech for service and you know that they will do the job right.
Your Technician Alert Vonk assisted us in getting our security system up and running today. Was extremely satisfied with his technical skills and knowledge; a knowledge that he shared with us to help us better understand what was happening. Your product is excellent; however, until yesterday I wasnt getting to utilize it. It took 2 weeks to get a technician out here. Alert re-installed the doorbell camera and corrected all the system program glitches. It is greatly appreciated. He did what previous technician couldnt/didnt do and explained everything and why it happened as it did.
I had a perfectly working alarm system till I was told I needed to do an upgrade to the cellular modem. Tech came to do the upgrade and something happened and a board shorted out. After replacing the board we tested the system and test the mobile connectivity and they checked out. The tech was just getting into his vehicle when the system errored and I called the tech back in. He said he found the error and corrected it. After he left I tried to connect to he system remotely and could. Called support asking for a tech to come back and fix it. After much argument one was sent out the next morning. Customer service couldnt care less if the tech didnt properly finish the job. No matter what they say ADT doesnt seem to care about their customers.
ADT has definitely work for me so far they have definitely give me pretty good deals on the equipment that I have gotten installed technicians were pretty good the last I guess and I had was great Steve thank you very much really commendable guy takes the job serious and pretty informed on the equipment thank you ADT
ADT technician was exactly on time, activated requested option efficiently and confidently. He manifested superior technical expertise in multiple ways as he answered my questions. Just more reasons why I am a 15 yr. customer, and will transport ADT service wherever else I may live, and why I am quick to share my trust in ADT install and alarm response incidences with my neighbors and acquaintances.
Thank you to ADT for their great work. Ted was extremely helpful in helping us decide what kind of security system was best for us. We were booked a few days later for installation. Joseph Caramazza was our installer. Joseph was terrific. He was super knowledgeable, explained everything in detail. Thanks Joseph for making our day stress free with your great personality. Also a big thanks for Ryan Delzeit to oversee the whole project. I would highly recommend this team.
We just switched back to ADT after eight years with Moni, and were very pleased.The 5-star rating is a direct result of Alert Vonk being our installer. He did an amazing job of integrating existing components and adding new. And when he ran into home network issues, he worked through them quickly and methodically. He even happily completed the install of one external component while it was raining. Couldnt ask for a better installer.He had to come back a second day to replace a gateway, and when the dispatch calendar said the earliest available date to complete the work was over a week away, Alert was able to get it scheduled two days out -- and then called the very next morning to tell us if it was convenient for us he could come right out and complete the work. That is a great example of dedication to customer satisfaction. Thanks Alert!
ADT tech Alert Vonk has by far been the best technician I have dealt with. Alert came to originally service a faulty component that was installed a few days earlier by a different technician. Alert kept me informed about what he was doing and what may have caused the failure, he did an entire system check and adjusted settings to ensure there was no interference and explained how everything worked. He also replaced a system battery that other technicians and ADT phone support did not address previously after I had reported the warning light.Alert spent the time to inspect my entire system and address any questions I had. He was very informative and made me feel confident in the security provided by ADT.Everyone at ADT should be providing this level of service.Many thanks to Alert Vonk. Give this guy a raise!!!
ADT was very professional and thorough. Juan was knowledgable and very patient. He took his time with every detail of the instal , explaining every step. He exhibited great COVID-19 precautions at all times. He went over and above what he needed to do to ensure the system worked and that we understood.Thank you so much. I feel a lot safer now that our security system is up and functioning perfectly!
Alert Vonk was more than “okay” he was well versed to answer all our inquiries and was easy to understand and a nice young man to have in our house for the extended time it took to install our new updated system.I wish all service people were as good at their jobs as he was....thank you Alert and ADT do not lose this fine representation of your company... a keeper
I like to say the professionalism and extremely attention to detail by Brandon and Alex on the job on the 22nd of March gives great credit to ADT systems. Theyre professional State Mass state glove throughout my property as they set up the cameras as they put things together they work extremely hard you probably dont pay them enough but they went into some very tight places on my house they got the job done then leave any mess they cleaned up after themselves kept track of everything that happened and make sure that I knew what to do with the new system put into the house what it would do what the cameras what I needed to run everything it was outstanding. To this day Im still overjoyed with the system. Erica Machuca in her team kept me informed of every action that was going to be done to my house price and everything else so with this team I agreecate their overall effort and enthusiasm to make sure that I feel comfortable about what was done.
Alert Vonk was amazing. Installed cameras super fast. Also did extra drilling to hide cords and solved my motion detector problem and told me how to get my Ring working. Tried to tip him and he said he couldnt accept tips but gave me this website to give him a compliment. Great employee for ADT!
Alert Vonk was our tech. He was on time, personable, represents his company well, and went the second mile to make sure all was ok with our system. Ive been with ADT for 13 plus years...…...and Alert Vonk was the BEST...…….. THANK YOU ADT for having employees who do their job and care. Juan Scott serviced our larm system today. There were two defective contacy on two windoews rendering the alarm useless. One window waswas above a shower and difficult to access.. HE WAS PATIENT AND polite and conscientious. HE CAME INTO THE HOUSEwith ladder mask and booties. It was a pleasure to have him in our home during these difficult times.
I recently had cameras installed at my home. I have to say I was very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of Yani Alvarez the technician who came to install the equipment. He did a very clean installation job and kept me in the loop on everything he was doing. He explained how the system worked in detail and answered all of my question. If this review was solely on Yani Alvarez it would have been 5 stars. I have to say Catherine the sales lady who my wife spoke to over the phone either lied or was not knowledgeable of the companies equipment. She had said the door bell and cameras were 1080 and it turns out they were only 720. Also she had said their ADT door bell was superior to Ring but that turned out to not be true as well. Over all we are satisfied with our new equipment and thank Yani Alvarez for all he did.
As a company that sells security, I just had the most uncomfortable, and unsafe feeling and experience from a door to door sales representative from ADT. First he said his manager Christian sent him, and he said he was Zane. Not sure if he was an ADT rep, or from an authorized dealer as he was wearing an ADT shirt. HE would not leave my mom alone to the point that we felt harrassed and when we finally said to please leave, he reiterated that he wishes us good luck in a very threatening way. We were trying to put a baby to sleep and he was incredibly rude, and kept asking us personal questions like hen the man of the house would be home and how long he was gone for. Watch out for this guy. Im glad we didn;t open the door fully fo him. Pic attached.
A couple months ago we had security cameras installed on our house. Three techs came out to do the work, Alert Vonk, Michael Duffey and a third guy whose name I don’t recall. We were told it would take two days for installation. They finished in one day! Everything worked well when they left, but then there were a couple of hiccups with the communication between phone and cameras, so I called Alert. He came back out and fixed the problem, twice. Our cameras work great! We couldn’t be happier. Thank you guys for giving us peace of mind.
We had the the best experience working with Oscar. He came and installed the very next day after we signed up! The service works excellent and we havent had any issues. Oscar explained in detail how to navigate through the system and was very professional. We couldnt be more satisfied! Our business is protected and we couldnt be happier...Highly recommend!
ADT representative Berney Spencer went the extra-mile during a service call after we had some modem/router location changes in our home. Unlike the others who came for this same issue, he remedied it by investing more time, thought, and care. Now we can enjoy our ADT service while maintaining a constant WiFi connection throughout the entire house without having to worry about WiFi drop-off. Thanks, Berney!
I am extremely unhappy with my adt system the cameras never work right and forget about the door bell camera. Recently i had my truck vandalized in my driveway directly infront of my adt camera and of course when the police came we couldnt find any video . This system sucks and i will be looking for another provider.
I switched over to ADT Feb 2020 and I have been extremely pleased with attention to detail that I received starting with the initial assessment of our home and the package developed based on our needs and ADT recommendations, thru the installation which brought out additional ideas that resulted in exceptional security coverage, to the service when needed.
I had ADT for the last two years and now it is not working due to Error 103 communication, no one could fix it over the phone so they sent a technician who told me that my system works on Verizon cell service and I don’t have receptionist my area so I have to change my system to one that works on AT&T cell service, but I have to pay for the new equipment, I refused to pay for the new equipment so he told me his manager will call back as soon as he get out from a meeting but HE NEVER CALLED BACK, now I have been without service for about two weeks and no one has called me back, I called a gain and I was told the manager will call you back on Monday , let’s see if they call back, I am very unhappy with this service and the runaround, I had ADT in a different city for over 12 years and they were great, but I think it’s the office in my new area.
ADT are my security service provider since i started my first business and i used their service again in my second business and they never let me down.. Not even 1 issue in 5 years.. My salesman Ehab is a great guy with a hell of service.. Always check on us to make sure everything is ok..Today they set up the security system for my new house.. Big shout out to Alert Vonk our tech and let me tell you something ,somehow his name is perfect for his career.. The whole process went smoothly.. I had a lot of concerns as a homeowner and Alert took his time and went far in explaining every single detail about the equipment and the system .. Very kind,professional and knowledgeable .. Highly recommended .. Thank you

2021-12-31I was most impressed and appreciative of the service that was provided by the ADT technician, John. He went above and beyond in educating me on how to best secure my home while keeping my budget in mind. He was also thorough and patient in explaining how to use the different aspects and functionality of the security system once installed. And all of his services were provided with professionalism, obvious expertise, courtesy and a personable demeanor. Based on the experience of the installation and using the ADT system so far, Im a more than satisfied customer.

2022-03-29Ive been with ADT for several years. I decided to get a camera for my front door. After it was installed it worked fine for about a month. After that, it wasnt working anymore. I will be calling to find out why its not working, hopefully it can be corrected.

2022-08-06ADT service is the worst!!! I wish I had read these reviews prior to signing up for this service!!! We purchased a new home 12/2021 and signed up for ADT 2/2022. The sales person promised a rebate that he would return money for signing up for a two year contract. I should have followed my instincts and said no!!! I hate long term contracts! I never received the money back, and it seems he no longer works for the company. Our doorbell camera never works! You don’t get notified until the door bell rings or someone is walking through the door! The front camera pings, but it’s not synced with the doorbell camera! You would think it would notify you as soon as someone walks towards your door, but NO! I’ll be getting another alarm service soon! Until then, pistol grip….! Lol

2021-09-27Installing a new system was almost effortless. Both the manager Jeff and technician Josh were very professional, precise and didnt waste any time. If the service everywhere as good as it was with ADT, wed be living in a much better place!

2021-04-24We have had ADT protecting our home since 2012. When the time came to replace the batteries in the sensors, we had to postpone that call for service due to COVID. When I did make the call, the customer representative was very courteous and helpful since it has been SO long that I forgot my verbal password. The rep then used other questions/info to verify I was who I said I was. The rep was also able to take care of more than one of my concerns.The service technician arrived within the window the appointment was scheduled. He was knowledgeable and professional. He was also meticulous on his work. He made sure that everything was working before completing the service call. He explained any and all fees due at the time of service.My family appreciates all the service that ADT has provided us all these years, even during the COVID pandemic.

2020-12-20As a result of my technicians expertise,I not only have a new security alarm completely installed in one day with a new door bell camera and external cameras. In addition, my wifi access was enhanced, power was restored to light up my address box and he even helped me change the battery on my smoke alarm on my vaulted ceiling.Ask for Brandon he is amazing!He was so knowledgeable, patient, personable, and helpful, I almost didnt want him to leave. We shared stories of our families, and he has a lovely family that needed him, so I let him leave.The whole experience has restored my feeling of personal safety....I am recommending ADT to my friends!

2021-07-30I’m doing this on behalf of my mom Sandra Watson she asked me to come on here and provide a review for Juan Scott one of ADT‘s technician here in Chino Hills. She wanted me to say how amazing professional and courteous and respectful Juan was. Very attentive very cautious all around the best service I have received. She keeps repeating yes yes all tens across-the-board as I’m writing this. She also mentioned she does not want anybody else but him coming to her calls never had such a great service. It’s safe to say that she is very very very happy. I know my mom very well and I know she’s very particular and picky so for her to be saying this its the absolute truth.
