Came in with a nice watch I asked to have serviced. He told me $650 to service the watch. Then I said no sorry, that’s out of my budget.... then he said $500..... then $450... then he said ok half $415 (which is not half of $650). I walked out with my watch without it being serviced. I know it’s a nice watch and it would cost a lot to service, but that’s extreme. Plus all the haggling was off-putting. I think he thought I was a sucker.

I brought my E. Ingraham antique mantle clock thats been in my family for over 100 years to Peter for repair. I dont know if it had been cleaned or oiled in my lifetime, but it always worked and then stopped suddenly. Peter repaired it and it keeps perfect time now. I live in Oregon and there are so few people that do clock repair work in this country and do it well that I was thrilled to find this shop in Sacramento. It was worth what it cost to have it repaired properly.

Normally if I dont like a place I dont say anything. In this case I will add just a little. I have an old 8 day wind up clock that I use in my airplane. I gave it to Quality watch, for a cleaning and adjustments. When I got it back (200.00 later) it didnt keep very good time. 5 min off in 6 days. It stopped working 2 years later and it was another 200.00 cleaning. It went 50 years min. Since new without a cleaning, that time it only took 2 years. Oh, dont expect fast service from here as well.

CLIENTS BEWARECharged my husband $63.00 for 2 watch batteries, one of which he didnt even need! Very shady, do NOT recommend. Watch batteries should not cost anywhere near $30 each and they took advantage of my husbands ignorance surrounding watches/jewelery to not only charge him way too much, but also sell him a battery that was completely unnecessary.
