They seem to keep the equipment clean. Friendly staff. I do not use the locker room much, but it could use some better ventilation, and cleaning. Need to open up more equipment. On the Equipment thing, I blame the State of CA, not 24I have a Lifetime Membership, so I dont pay much per year +$100), so its still worth it to keep my membership even during the Covid stuff.I I had a high priced membership, Id quit untill this stuff is over
I like that they limited the amount of people in the gym, everyone was wearing a mask, but most of equipment had a layer of dirt on it. Not sure how conscious they are about keeping things clean. I wiped down (on every piece of equipment) that I used, but if you looked down there was a layer visible dirt. So be careful if you put something down on the floor.
If they are not allowed to use 3 day pass why would they have in their website showing 3 day pass. The website is showing use at any 24 hour fitness location itβs spam and fake. I thought of taking a member ship after My workout today. I would not take and recommend anyone to take member ship here. Moreover I have waited 45 min in line to get in. The guy at front desk dint even consider that. Poor customer service and fake posts to pull a people into them. Donβt take member ship here.
I was surprised the shampoo was clean in regards to the bathrooms walls being too dirty the pool area floor filthy the walls everywhere are dirty inside the shower walls had scum and the door for the steam room in the back had build up dust and dirt for years probably
I bought a membership at Costco ... Then Covid hit. The 24 hr fitness club where I normally go in Torrance is closed. I was having trouble getting one of my membership numbers from online because it wasnt activated completely. The instructions online said to contact my club. Which is closed. So I called the Cypress store and spoke to Charles. He looked up my information online and got me the print out that I needed to go get a refund at Costco. He saved it at the front desk for me the next day. He went above and beyond and was so polite even though I was canceling and got a refund.
This location simply does not care about its guests or members. I have been a member for 5+ year. They randomly closed down their kids club entirely with no prior warning or explanation. This is not a family friendly gym. This used to be a place where you could workout and bring your children and achieve your goals. Will be taking my business elsewhere.
Pros- plenty of equipment to work out on, friendly staff and good size locker room/bathroom.Cons- Super busy in evening (difficult to get a good work out in), trainers can be pushy trying to get you to sign up the $360 a month training program and bathrooms are always dirty with no ass gaskets and Im not sure if ppl at this gym know how to flush a toilet.
Ive been going to this location since opened over 10 years ago.I used take to take classes there almost daily. The first few year I used to see cleaning staff there every morning. Over a year ago the cleanliness standard has been sub-standard. The machines and floors are always dusty. I purposely took note of a weight machine I used every time for a week and I noticed the it was not dusted that whole time--that means it also had not been sprayed down by cleaning staff for at least a week. Also bathroom area dont ever feel clean. I have spoke to someone who seemed like a supervisor about the cleanliness and he was a bit defensive and I felt he thought I was overly critical. I heard an employee say this gym is the busiest gym in the country. I think if that is the case, maintaining the cleanliness should be a priority. I still frequent this gym about once a week, but I have been using to the Bella Terra location in Huntington Beach more often and the level of cleanliness far surpasses that of the Cyress location.
My new favorite 24 hour fitness to go, for starters the place get clean on a regular , and best of all free WiFi . Its packed but thats expected of a gym, staff super friendly as well. One thing I noticed about this area, the people that go here sure love leaving thier mess more than any other gym
The facility is laid out nicely. The equipment is maintained well. There is one issue that is very difficult to overlook; the theft that is a pervasive and ongoing problem. Ive been in the locker room more than twice now when members have lockers have been broken into. In fact a coworker was recently ripped off. Unfortunately the staff is rather indifferent about the whole thing, saying that there is nothing they can do to stem the theft.
I used to go a couple years back and it wasnt too bad. But then it started getting insanely crowded, to the point I couldnt even get my workout in. After going to several other 24s since, I came back here for a visit. Its still insanely crowded, with clients sitting on their phones for several minutes while using equipment. Two stars for at least being cleaner than the Buena Park location.
Place is going down hill. Broken down machine, no head- sets to.listen to the TVs, dusty, the showers are not.kept cl ran but with mildew. For a 24 Sport, its not.living up to its previous and current expectations. Customer Service is spotty at best, and the Management does not lead by example. Im losing my faith and my money in 24HR. What happened Guys. I do not recommend this location anymore, unless improvements are made soon.
Went here for the first time yesterday. I tried to get there early because it gets crowded at my normal 24 hour on Tuesdays. So, I got there at 5pm. It was a bit crowded but not overbearing. I usually hit a spin cycle, run on the tread, then swim. The spin bike out on the floor to be tightened or something because it feels rickety. However, I managed. The pool was great! It wasnt as busy as my 24hour and the nice member allowed me to share a lane. I proceeded with my usual routine and finished with a shower. The lockers and showers were very well kept (well, much better than Garden Grove at least).Well, after showering, I noticed that I didnt have my phone. *%#$ !!! I must have left it on the treadmill. ugh!! So, I quickly dressed and checked the front desk. They had it there. Thank heaven!! Thank you guys so much!!! Pluses for honest members and honest staff.... Saved me the trouble of going to get a new phone.... :)
Can a gym be any fuller? Despite the amount of people who go to this location, its a great gym, One thing I think separates this 24 hour location from the others is that they make a great effort to police the gym for weights being left out, people not sharing cardio equipment, and generally cleaning up. Recently they added more equipment. I feel the staff are friendly and make a point to help you out if you ask.
I always seem to have issues with this location. From them signing my membership up under my mother, making her primary account holder and reaping the benefits of adding someone under the account ( now lets make it known that I am the primary holder who came into this club to then add my mother UNDER MY ACCOUNT NOT START A NEW ONE WITH ME UNDER HER). As I am unable to even add my husband to my account now. And not to mention the annual fee that pops up within 30 days. So you basically are paying some form of initiation, which is fine and all... If they actually mention it. But hey, we do agree and sign those contracts with the extra long terms and conditions that the average being will never take the time to invest on a simple, or what seemed to be, task of adding to a gym. Then, yesterday I called and was told I owed for one month. Today, I come in to realize I owed for this month as of midnight. I kindly explain how irritated I am of the miscommunication as I just spent an hour walking from home to this gym with a good mind I would be working out. After I pay for the amount I was told over the phone initially, which was a months due, I was not even offered the opportunity to work out at least for the hour as I had planned. What loyalty does a club care to show to their customers? I have been a member for over some time now and even fight friends asking me to join their clubs. But seriously, I am so disgusted by a lack of appreciation to those who keep you around, as we do appreciate you, at least I DID. And as I just spoke to customer service on the main line, I was told my screen was green and I should have been allowed access to the gym.... Afterall, I was 7 hours past due not 7 days!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!
This place is DISGUSTING!!! There is dust everywhere, locker rooms are masked with a smell of bleach and ass. If you are looking for a real workout and a place to call your gym home this is not it! No motivation at this gym for sure. Not enough squat racks and only one leg press. Very old equipment, wash rooms are rusted, and some equipment is awkwardly placed. Also there is no towel service!
Adequate. The place is pretty unclean. Equipment is always broken. Bathrooms and locker facilities are just plain gross. The TV often dont work. Unfortunately its the only convenient gym in the area. Its cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. At least its a gym.
Top 5 trashiest gyms Iβve ever been do.What I mean specifically by trashy is members at this location going through the list of regular gym etiquette and obscenely breaking every guideline possible.Just now I walked up on a rack near the free weights with 4 barbells on it (40, 50, 60, 70)Next to the rack is a gym bag, with its guts spilled out all over the floor for everyone to trip over.I grab one of the bars as there is no one at the station, and do one set with it.As I go to rack the bar I just used, this guy walks up to me like I have an alien sitting on my head and the confused look on his face as if him βreservingβ 4 different barbells by hoarding them means no one else will touch them. This is a regular occasion at this location, along with just about anything else you can imagine at a low-end super cheap gym (they charge you for a whole lot more than you get).Letβs not fail to mention that there is REGULARLY a LINE for equipment during the 5 o clock rush hour.Do yourself a favor and stick it to this greedy corporation. Get a membership at a quality gym.
Went in for a 3 day trial pass after having not been a 24 member for a couple years and Chris the guy who I had to sit down with in order to get the pass was one of the rudest people Ive ever experienced in customer service, even by gym employee standards. He was overly pushy and aggressive at trying to get me to sign a contract right then and there, but more than normal. It was to a point where he seemed purposely aggravating me, and implying that I was a freeloader who didnt really want to sign up. When I told him I wanted to wait and see how I liked it, he tried to tell me that I didnt need to do that. He pushed and pushed as I tried to just get him to give me the pass so I could get to my workout, and when I asked if there was another person I could talk to he claimed to be the manager, which I now know is a complete lie. I told him I would have to talk to my parents about it, and his response was Why?. I told him I would have to get the money from them because they pay for certain things, and his response was You dont make any money of your own? I told him I didnt have to explain myself to him, and yet he continued to push and aggravate me. He made it seem like I couldnt get a trial pass because I had been a member previously, so I had to sign for a membership right then and there. The terms and conditions clearly state that you only have to be a local resident, and it has to be within six months of your last pass. (The last time I had a pass was 2012) When I finally said, either give me the pass or I walk, he quietly gave in and got up to talk to someone, but not before reminding me that with the 3 day pass I would have to talk to a salesperson every day I worked out, and then he clarified that I would probably have to talk to him. It was like he was threatening me, and going out of his way to aggravate me more. He talked with the guy in the office for an uncomfortable amount of time, and several times the guy in the office glanced over at me. Finally I got my pass, but it doesnt matter anymore. Theres no way Im giving my money to these people after the way I was treated.
This 24 hour fitness is great the people both staff and clientele are very nice, and the staff, particularly my trainer, Alaina, are very knowledgeable.I am over 65, and for many reasons, out of shape, and everyone here is very encouraging and helpful. I am not made to feel like a 3rd class citizen, which is how I have been made to feel at other places.I particularly like the variety of equipment and the number of treadmills, bikes etc so I do not have to wait for something for more than a minute or so at most - mostly no wait at all.
This place blows. Its dirty and the wet sauna is under repair 99% of the time. Its always crowded. Um, no, Im not paying $40 for an upgrade so that I can go to a better location. Needless to say, I will not be renewing my membership. Ill be going to the competition.
Went for a day pass and had the exact same experienced described by Ryan Corsaut. Christian Hernandez was really pushy to sign me up for a month membership even though I explained to him I was only going to be here for a few days or weeks. The guy was so rude to the point that he asked me for my debit card to sign me up to speed up the process! really? first day, barely checking out the gym, not even tour of it and he wants my debit card... man. He was so annoying to the point that he went to my workout bench, tap me on the shoulder and said one of my representatives is waiting for you in the way out WTF. Chris was so aggressive on having me sign up for a membership to the point I was going to pay for the effen day which would of being $20. Overall, did not have a good experienced at this gym.
This 24 hour is cool But they have SOO many classes everyday every hour and I like to use the room!! But itβs hard because kids club is closed during the hours the room is free . Therefore Itβs really hard when I need to sue the room and kids club . Kinda impossible.
My experience at this 24 Hour Fitness gym was really good. The equipment is a little old. But it has everything someone needs to get in shape. Out of all the 24 hr fitness that II have visited over the years. This is the only one that has the bigest set of Plate Loaded Iso Equipment. Like I mentioned before a little old but it does the trick. If the Manager is not cheap and bring in an HS PLATE LOADED ISO LATERAL SHOULDER PRESS , HS PLATE LOADED ISO-LATERAL WIDE PULLDOWN and a HS PLATE LOADED ISO-LATERAL ROWING this gym would have more plate loaded equipment then that so called Ultra Sport Gym. Well I liked this gym and hopefully they get this equipment to make it even better.
I havent been to this location but am very confused by 24 hour fitness policies. It used to be that only resort type clubs were given the super sport designation. Now it seems they just want to get you to upgrade your membership for things that were included before. I signed up for three years for 600 or so dollars with renewals at 50 a year. Does 24 want to milk us for more. I just checked the website and this gym is classified as sport on 24 website I thought it was classified as ss before.
This was the worst Super Sport I have visited. Old/gross machines, a large number of cardio machines out of order, no provided towel service, and the locker room smells dreadful. I am never going back to this location, and its a shame there are no other locations nearby. This location more closely resembles a health hazard than a Super Sport.
The last number of times Ive gone here, the place has been slammed with people. And there is always a long line outside. If thats the case every single day, then they should go back to the reservation system to have crowd control. Ironically, COVID has risen again in Orange County, especially in Los Alamitos.
I enjoy coming to this 24 Hour Fitness location because the staff are friendly and the facility is usually clean. However, the parking lot is a nightmare, which took away one star. It is extremely dark and doesnt have enough stop signs. Im appalled that 24 Fitness Inc. , location managers and other tenants (i.e Staples, RockStar Tanning, etc) have not collaborated and addressed this issue with the property manager. They need to provide lights in the parking lot (most locations do not have members park in the dark). After all, they are paying hefty rent to attract members/customers. It is poor business sense to not ensure safety in the parking lot for members.
Friendly staff... Lots of weight equipment.. Good basketball court and swimming pool.. Large clean lockerroom. One major drawback is the TERRIBLE condition of their exercise bikes, both upright & recumbent. Theyve obviously decided that treadmills & ellypticals are THE cardio equipment and bikes are obsolete.
Best of the best , that why it is always full . Recently it is upgrade to Supersport level without any changing I still give it a yes. Members are friendly, staff are ok , one thing piss me off is they setup some new screen for 24 hours fitness program (who care about thos crappie ) and offensive to turn off my FOX NEWS chanel . I should take a star off , but because they do try to keep the building well clean so I didnt take it off. Good job and keep up good work guys.
Several users once they came out from the steam room (or suana room), jumped into the pools (swimming or jacuzzi) without taking shower! [They shall wash/rinse off they sweat! Or the pools will be contaminated by everyones sweat!]I ask the staff to do something (such as a big sign empaasize the shower AFTER coming out from those 2 rooms and before jumping into the pools, etc.) but they said they cannot do anything about this issue (except a small, standard sign saying shower is required before entering the pool)Couple hand-dryers and shower heads are broken for a long times~Suggest to keep the water level in the jacuzzi as high as possible! So the greesy dirt (together with bubble) can flow out easily and the pool will be much cleaner~
Very unhappy with personal trainer options. My trainer is okay but hes new and not yet (after six weeks) listed on their website. Website does not offer any option to rate the trainer or switch to another trainer. Ugh...Not happy with NO options. The latest slap in the face by this center is that our cardio mix teacher (of 11 years) notified management more that two months ago that she was leaving. Management did absolutely NOTHING and as of Dec 5 we have had NO cardio classes!!! Not even a temporary substitute was contracted. Nothing...
Didnt even get an update about the 24hr fitness upgrading to a super sport. No change or signage change at the location. Not driving to garden grove like the guest service suggested. They only changed to super sport days ago and I couldnt get in. Not worth the extra $10. Dissapointed.
It depends on the time of the day abd the day itself. friday through sunfays if you go later, say 8 or after, its completley empty but on week days around 6-8 when people are getting off worked its just packed. the line for the zumba classes go to the entrances to the locker room and if youre dedicated to getting fit waiting 3-4 minutes for something isnt a big deal
Visited 3 times, clean organized & one of the girl staff members very helpful, she was kind & very cooperative she greeted members as they came in. I was surprised that other staff did not do the same, didnt even greet anyone as we came in, but if its cleaningness you want, this is your place!

2022-07-01So I went driving all day and needed to hop on the 605 for 20 mins and REALLY REALLY NEEDED TO USE THE BATHROOM. I ask politely if I can quickly use it and sales manager says only with a membership I can enter. I plead and say itβs just the restroom and once again he says if I have a membership and itβs trespassing to just walk in and use it. Then asked for a guest pass they wanted to charge me $20 for SIMPLY ASKING TO USE THE BATHROOM. I work at a LA Fitness for years , I have a membership there I would recommend 24 hr fitnesses to someone wanting to gym, but not this one. Stay away and then they spammed my phone number.

2021-03-23I like how management has created as much space as possible outside for members to work out during the pandemic. And i actually hope they can continue to keep some space open even after they re-open inside. Ive never worked out outside before, and i kind of like it! π²ππ€£

2022-06-28Got the anual membership for my son to play basketball. Most of the week courts are busy with a Volley ball team. We need to drive to the one on Garden grove or wait until 8 pm. Terrible.

2022-01-03Its a gym, nothing special about this one. It was open 24 hrs some 23 hrs but after Covid, hrs went from 5am to 9pm then to 11pm. But fees never adjusted to availability. EOS is $10 a month with new and modern equipment and more than 1 of everything, they have a theater, free massage and free massage chairs state of the art locker rooms, and new pool.

2021-08-29Im writing this review at 705 this morning in the gyms parking lot. There is no one in the gym and people sitting in the parking lot trying to figure out why they are closed. This gym continuously is the biggest let down. If this is the only one in the area dont waste your money and take your business elsewhere. This location is TERRIBLE.

2021-08-17I love the water aerobics! Jen is awesome! So much fun and I can wear my knee support and do most of the exercises. So great to get in shape when slightly compromised

2021-05-07Pre- Covid, I went to this gym almost every morning between 5-6. It was a great gym. I have been here the past week(update: now over a month) since the reopening and there is new equipment but no one reracks their weights and it is beyond messy every morning. This is supposed to be a more expensive gym but it now just reminds me of a fitness 19. People used to take pride in this gym and management is not doing anything to help that.(guy, that I heard is the manager, just sits on his phone at the back desks all morning) Gym should be cleaned up overnight.Morning workers at the desk(besides the guy on his phone) are great.

2020-10-27The gym is good. No problem with it inside. The only thing is outside in line theres is A LOT of flies everywhere. The floors and walls need to be steam washed especially since everyone is waiting 25 + minutes in the same spot everyday.

2022-06-18Clean equipment well spaced. Bathroom areas need a lot of attention.
