Positive: The area of the hotel was lovely and the rooms were nice and clean. Negative: The pressure to attend a presentation. At check in , exhausted and not being able to get to my room due to attempts to attend one of the presentations. We were only there for 2 nights and had made other plans. Then because not members, pay for Wi-Fi.
Very nice facility in an interesting location. Our otherwise pleasant experience was marred by unprofessional actions by staff/management;1. We booked a Friday-Friday stay using an RCI transfer months ahead. The day before check-in we got message that they could only accommodate Sunday-Friday.2. We were promised a $125.00 AmEx gift card for enduring a presentation. The presentation was actually better than most, but the card was no good when we tried to use it at area establishments. We returned the card and were promised a replacement would be mailed to us on the day of check-out. A couple of weeks later I called Josh in Sales and he promised to mail it right away. It has now been 6 weeks and I had a very unpleasant call today with Jessica where she claimed alternatively that they didnt have the original card, or ridiculously, it had been thrown at one of her associates. Consequently we are not getting a replacement.
Not understanding why I wrote a complete review on a few days of our staying here. I went to add a couple of things that I’ve forgotten and noticed my review is completely gone. I am going to make a long story short by saying, when they say it is only an owners update for an hour. It is untruthful and when you do not purchase or however they word it. They become an act very disappointed. Also it should be noted I did informed that I was handicap and there are lotta stairs here. We’re unable to change rooms. I’m not sure why we did not notice that Wyndham only owns a portion of this property. The property faces the street which you can hear Road traffic. I could’ve just stayed home for that but I needed to be here for other reasons. It is beautiful but attitudes change when you don’t upgrade and for being a VIP the bottle of wine was nice . But for being a VIP and having dirty furniture we found a bug in our bed he was question dead but still it was a dead bug. We did not make mention about the bug but we did repeatedly ask if we could change rooms. One lady I believe her name is Jill was rather rude at the check-in after our supposedly owners update only. There is no just owners update information it was to be a no sales pitch and it was. An hour as it was to be was not. Please note it is very beautiful if you don’t look out your window and see a street . Our showerhead nozzle was just dangling and once I adjusted it it was fixed and I need to tell them so they don’t have future problems with it. It’s a nice location being close to a lot of the neighboring little towns. I really nothing more to say or brag about this place .
I left very disappointed with the timeshare presentation. left feeling like the guy didnt care about how he made me feel.i left with tears and even had an anxiety attack outside the building.i would have purchased but the pressure of committing right then and there was too much! As far as the resort service it was excellent! We got to see deers up close and personal twice.i would return only for that reason but will no longer consider the timeshare.
Wow. Great location, nice amenities. But the staff REALLY go above and beyond to pressure you into hearing their hour-long (“set your watch for 60 minutes!”) timeshare sales pitch, and WON’T take NO for an answer. We stayed here three nights and got trapped for 15-20 minutes at check-in trying to say no (the guy’s name was Peter, btw; he offered us a $150 prepaid Visa card plus a late checkout) plus once a day by phone. When they called the last day, they asked if we needed anything - more coffee or towels or anything - I said we could use a couple of pool towels. Then she asked if we would like to come to the timeshare presentation before we left the next morning; I said no thanks (YET AGAIN)… Spoiler alert: We never got the towels. Also: I really never need to go back to this worse-than-a-used-car-lot pressured sales pitch.
This is my third time staying at Worldmark Angels camp. This time we got a 2 bedroom unit with a murphy bed. The master bedroom is upstairs and has its own bathroom. It also has a small deck with two chairs for you to sit outside. It has a reading nook aswell. This 2 bedroom unit has a full kitchen with a dish washer, washer and dryer, fireplace and a bbq grill on the deck with a table and four chairs. It is very spacious and it looks like they have upgraded the unit since the last time we were here which was in 2007. The pool and hot tub are closed. They do have a gym and tennis courts. Its a nice location and we look forward to coming back again.
One of my favorite places to stay of Worldmarks. Mikes pizza was a good recommendation, and it snowed overnight. However, we found cups underneath the couch, crumbs on the window seat in master, dining table with dried up rings from milk or something that dries like it. I remember the last time we were here there was a jacket left by an employee. Since were owners we are to be credited some points. Honestly, its still not enough. I do realize people are being overworked but someone should be checking the work...we are still in a pandemic...sheesh.
We have been to this resort a total of 3 times. The rooms are clean and the staff is attentive and ready to help when asked. Great area to walk around and see a fair amount of deer on the property. Close to attractions in Calaveras county and certain places will give you a discount if you show your wristband. One thing I didnt like was being hounded about timeshare updates when all they want to do is sell you more useless points.
Ive been coming here for the past 14 years. I love the location. In the 14 years, the condos have gotten a refresh and more units added. When I first started coming here the check-in process was great. At the end they tell you to go to the concierge to get your parking permit, a ploy to get you to talk to the sales people. Still, in the first few years, it was pleasant. Politely declined their pitch to attend a presentation where breakfast was provided and that was that. Unfortunately the last few years have been dreadful. After declining we would get calls during our visit. This last time was the worst. After what was supposed to be a three hour drive turned 5 hours due to holiday traffic with a fussy baby, Ross would not leave us alone. He kept talking about how we would be doing him a huge favor if we would just make an appointment for owner updates. After several times of declining and trying to get on our way. He continued to press for a time he should call to schedule our appointment. All while our toddler was talking non-stop and our baby was crying. We finally got to our unit and the key card didnt work. My husband went back to get the card rekeyed to have Ross approach him yet again about making an appointment. He called his manager over who gave him the same pitch about their higher ranking and again we would be doing him a huge favor if we would schedule an appointment. During our stay, we left the key inside the condo. At the front desk we were asked to wait for someone to bring us a new key while we waiting outside of the unit. We waited 15 minutes for the person to bring the key only to be approached by, you guessed it, Ross. We stood in the parking lot as he asked us to do him a favor. Honestly, we felt really harassed. He called us twice at the condo during our stay. As owners, it would be nice to enjoy our getaway without this constant ask. It was Thanksgiving! Overall, this place would have gotten 5 stars if it werent for the ask to inconvenience ourselves to do Ross a favor.
My wife and I bought credits for this timeshare about 18 years ago. We got it so we could come and visit our kids & grandkids that live in and around the area. The rooms are very nice with only one exception in all that time. The idea of the credits is that you can use them to stay at ANY of their resorts WORLDWIDE!! They have over 400 resorts, plus now I believe you can use them for cruises! The one drawback is the maintenance fees. They can get a bit pricy if you dont use your credits.
Great place to go for a nice quiet get away. Loved the pool it was great for the kids and myself, the hot tub was great too! There are beautiful trees everywhere, and the staff is incredibly friendly. There is a grocery store just 5 minutes away and a golf course. There isn’t much to do in the town itself but the things it does have is pretty neat, like hiking spots and gold mining! Definitely will come back!
Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, units are very clean, and ready for use. The grounds are well maintained. The staff and maintenance crews are very accommodating. We have stayed numerous times and have really enjoyed each stay. The Greenhorn Golf course is next to the development , with a restaurant. Murphys, is a great place to visit, with wine tasting and a variety of shops and restaurants. The town of Columbia is a state park and is set in the era of the Gold Rush. The employees wear period correct clothing. There are retail shops, blacksmith, and restaurants. Gold panning and stage coach rides. Awesome place for families.
So disappointed. First night sheets and pillows were still damp. One pillow case had mold all over it. Stayed in 2bdr penthouse refrigerator had rust around ice dispenser. No pool towels. After being there several days asked for more toilet paper was given 2 rolls for 6 people. Murphy bed blocked kitchen and living room area. Room definitely needs redo.
We love Angles Camp. Murphy’s is just 8 miles away with superb restaurants and awesome fun shopping.WorldMark is always so nice. The rooms are really a good size. The pool and spas great fun. Everyone is so nice and the rooms very clean so you can definitely feel safe.
It was the worst trip in my life . We had our room booked and paid for to come find out when we arrived they wanted three hundred dollars more . 100.00 for security deposit . 200.08. for what they couldnt say what that was for. I told them to put it where the down shine . There is still a dispute going out out 165.00 and some change no room to sleep in very upset never again . Will see them in court.
What can I say about this beautiful resort! It was very clean which is especially important during this pandemic! It was quiet with some amenities open! I had a great time here! Very comfortable beds, just one issue with a toilet but hey it wasnt that big of a deal because I had two of them to utilize! Grounds kept nicely! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about restaurants in the neighborhood.... I will be visiting for many, many years to come! Thanks, Worldmark Angel camp resort!
This resort is by far one of my favorites so far. The staff has been super friendly and the resort is clean. They are understaffed right now so getting stuff you need like garbage bags in your room might take a little bit, but not a huge problem. Their friendly and upbeat attitudes far outweight the wait for stuff like that. Thank you Worldmark. If we get the opportunity, we will be back again.
Lovely place. Lots of wildlife around. Check in was awful though. One employee was pretty rude to me and very dismissive of my issue. They wanted to charge me a $100 deposit that they didnt tell me about until I drove hundreds of miles to get there. I didnt budget for this $100 extra dollars and while it was refundable I still wouldnt get it back till after check out. So that was $100 I planned on spending in other places that I then had to cut from the trip. But other then this one experience which is mostly on corporate and not the local people. Everyone was very kind.
The facility itself was nice, but because of a system error what was supposed to be a 2 bedroom (King and Queen) with a Murphy bed for 2 couples and a 16 year old became a King room and 2 twin beds with the Murphy bed. The only other room option they gave us to fix the situation was to downsize and eliminate the second bedroom entirely. We made the best of the twin bed situation, but were disappointed that the system allowed a room that wasnt available to be booked.
This place was a very well maintained property. Very quite and peaceful. Seeing wildlife (deer) around the property was a plus. When we needed anything the property delivered it promptly. I highly recommend staying at this resort. I definitely will stay here when Im back in the area or visiting Yosemite National park.
What a find! Our impeccably clean RCI time share trade was a two-story, two-bedroom unit with a big balcony looking southwest toward mountains. One of the two pools is the largest one we’ve seen outside the Olympics. It is next to a large washing pool for kids. We don’t play golf, but the course looked lovely. Staff helpful and eager to please: extra supplies were delivered in short order. The condo kitchen was one of the best supplied in it many trades, although no extra plates. Blender, toaster, sharp (!) knives, LaVazza coffee and - get this - a selection of cooking condiments: ginger, parsley, garlic, chili pepper, etc.Nearby attractions mostly consist of those of local history: gold mining and the migration of folks to B the West. Of special interest is the Angels Camp Museum. The only downside on our week was miserable weather: temperatures mostly near 100 degrees and unhealthy smoke from California’s fires. These led to cancellation many attractions (Farmers Market, jazz music, shop closures).
It’s a great place to unwind and get away from the city hustle. The staff were friendly. The curbside check in is a little bit different from Windsor - where we didn’t have to get out of the vehicle. Here in Angels Camp, we had to get out of the vehicle, go in to the front desk and show ID and then they told us to wait in the car. The unit is clean. The only thing is, I think it’s showing it’s age because the stairs are creaking everytime someone climbs the stairs. The door upstairs doesn’t fit right and is difficult to close and open. The pool was crowded because it was so hot in the 100’s. The attractions around like zip line and caverns are closed due to extreme heat. 😞 We’ll be back again.
We got lucky with our balcony view of golf course, valley surrounded by hills, trees, beautiful homes and deer. I must say this place had the most comfortable beds and pillows over any hotel, motel, air b&b, family members house Ive ever stayed at. Nice and clean, nice pools, 3 of them by the way, also basketball and tennis courts. Cozy and spacious, we just booked another stay under Denise Harvey so look out for us, thank u for the great experience with our stay.
Had an amazing 🤩 time with the girls and loved everything about our unit! ‘‘Twas like a home 🏠 away from home 🏡. Went swimming 🏊 for hours on end then hit up 🆙 the caverns to explore the underground. Overall excellent experience and we anticipate coming back real soon! Keep it up 👍
My family has a time share here so growing up I used come here every year usually around the summer. Last summer for the first time I brought my husband and daughters. It was our first vacation together as a family and we loved it! Nearby is a place called Murphy’s and there is a small flowing river. Kids (and adults like my husband lol) love to go on inner tubes and ride them down river. There are also cute shops and places to eat. Would definitely go again
WorldMark Angels Camp is my granddaughters favorite place to vacation. They have an amazing resort with a beautiful Swimming Pool which is Always heated at 82 degrees Fahrenheit, a hot tub, workout room, and childrens pool. They have a couple smaller pools and hot tubs throughout the property plus basketball, tennis, a great arcade room, pool tables, air hockey and ping-pong. Its a great place to bring my family and is centrally located in the mountains near Murphys, Mercer Caverns, Murphys creek, New Melones Lake and the big trees, we love it!2022Still loving Angels Camp. My Bonus daughter, my brother and my friends love to come here to relax. There are also so many fun places to visit near by, gold panning in Columbia, Caverns, wine tasting in Murphys, boating at New Melones, Calaveras Big Trees and snow in Lake Alpine.
The view is beautiful and it was very peaceful. Its a great location if you want to explore while youre there. Its not far from Columbia State Park, The Moaning Caverns, Calaveras State Park, Murphys or Arnold. There was even a little deer family that was grazing right below our balcony.
Very nice place, very clean, with a great view! A couple of facilities were closed because of the virus, but the pool was beautiful, and the staff there was very accommodating. I especially liked the proximity to various wineries, As well as having stores close by to stock the kitchen!
2 bdrm unit. Beds were comfortable.Well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable, spacious unit. Staff were friendly, helpful. We were close to the main hot tub and pool and enjoyed that. Golf course 2 minutes away. The weather was great. We had a good vacation in a beautiful setting. Relatively central to a lot of wineries and gold rush history.
The facilities were very nice. 3 Pools, hotel is located next to golf course. Great views. The staff was very friendly. The room was just okay. The patio door was hard to open, but we didnt spend much time out here because of the bees. Toilet was small and low, like for first graders. Water pressure was also low, it took a long time to shower. We were in a 1-bedroom unit, and the bathroom sink area only accommodated one person at a time because of the layout.
I eat here here four times a year on my way to LA and back home. There food is always good and doesnt break the bank. The servers are always pleasant and attentive, but not to attentive. This time was good but missed being able to dine in the restaurant. Take out was good but I would rather eat in the restaurant.
They are definitely taking precautions when it comes to the whole COVID. Everyone is super friendly. Running late on check out by an hour and with as many hotel I stay at some are beyond strict. This place was very accommodating. Nice to be able to wash ur clothes and have a home cooked meal. Full stocked kitchen. Full size fridge with ice maker. The condos are super insulated. No hearing the neighbors fart lol. Big patio with BBQ. Quiet time is 10pm to 8am and was scared trying to BBQ the rest of our meat up the night b4 departure at 11pm. Kids love the Murphy bed and heated pool to your access. They are taking precautions with pool use as well. #1 thing appreciated was the being left alone. No bugging. HOUSEKEEPING (knock knock). Water pressure was great and hot water in abundance. All 4 of my family members took back to back baths and no issues. Everything is super clean and I know this because I work in their housekeeping department from 2014 to 2016. Also had no issues with my deposit like most places. Money back on card in minutes. I will definitely be staying again. THANX WYNDHAM
It sure is different going to resort during covid and when we arrived we were informed that the resort was shutting down on Sunday so we would have to check out then when we were staying thru Monday. Talk about a disappointment. They at least refunded the credits and occupancy fee. Its a good thing that we werent flying in.The inside our resort was very well cleaned and I felt safe there. Its bizzare to find all the dishes in the dishwasher but thats how they have to do it.Even though everything was shut down we were able to go to the Big Trees and having rained the night before it smelt so refreshing and like Christmas!!!
Out of what I have seen this place is great good beds,TVs in every room, a table big enough for who ever you need to fit in it and a great pool. They dealing really well with this covid stuff, they are trying to enforce the rules inflicted by the CDC. The only downside to this would be that you have to make reservations to go swimming at the pool so you can only so it around once a day. But all in all, it is a great place to stay.
Very friendly, clean, comfortable. The accommodations were well-equipped, spacious, and nicely appointed. The pools were very nice as well, and the location made for easy exploration of a wide variety of sights and activities. Close enough for relatively comfortable day trips to San Francisco and Yosemite. Good restaurants and wineries nearby.
Nice, updated room. Pools and hot tubs were big and very nice. The breakfast at the timeshare update was delicious! The sales pitch is as usual, they go round in circles and really cant believe 100% of what they tell you. However, we really appreciated our sales person. He was nicer than most.
Our third stay at this resort. Staff very friendly and responsive to all request.Highly recommended. We enjoyed wine tasting at Indian Rock Vineyards in Murphys and procured 2 1/2 cases of their fine wine. Also Murphys Irish Pub highly recommended for great variety of beers & grub. Great getaway!
Beautiful place. Had a great time until Sunday afternoon and we (4 ladies) almost lost our lives because of carbon monixide poisioning. We had to call 4 times to get someone to the room. From the initial call, front desk said someone was on way. Finally after about 45 minutes a young man came, but he claimed he was looking for another unit. Mind you, the doors were open and it was low 30s. I said no you were here for us. About 20 minutes later, someone did come, he immediately told us to leave and we had to ask for somewhere to go. We were directed to go to recreation room. When we walked to office, the staff were scared to let us in. No medical was called. When they finally called about 15 minutes later and they arrived, they only treated one of us( who had passed out). Finally when the head rescue guy started putting things together, he realized through us, we all had carbon monixide poisoning/ exposure. Our vitals were checked and two of us transported to hospital. The staff dropped the ball from the very beginning. They need training on everything, starting from what to do when someone calls about alarms going off that you could clearly hear on the phone. It is Thursday, and I have yet to hear from anybody. I would not recommend any one to use the fireplace or in my opinion to stay there until the staff especially at night, get retrained. The staff at night really gets 0 stars.
If you want a totally wonderful experience to share with family come to WorldMark Angels Camp. Accommodations are great, comfortable and beautiful. Our room overlooked the golf course and we had a beautiful sunrise over the mountains. We had family from age three to sixty nine and we found activities for all. From the play yard, basketball court, putting green, pool table and air hockey, we used them all. We participated in the crafts and the staff was wonderful. Take yourself away from the daily grind and participate in a family getaway here, you will be glad you did.
Very nice, updated, clean and spacious rooms. Well appointed with full kitchens.Would get 4-4½ ☆ if it wasnt for the strong-arm time share sales pitch you are forced to endure to get your parking permit. Went from feeling like an upscale resort to a discount Cabo All-inclusive.
A good resort. Nice rooms, but not really modern. Enough amenities, but not the lap of luxury. Definitely ahead of the curve, but not top of the line. Staff were mostly nice and helpful, but occasionally inexperienced. I wasnt blown away, but I certainly cant complain either.
ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING. Semaconnect. Its for guests only, so it wont show up on app maps. $2/hr as of May 2021. Across from the pool. Our carbon monoxide detector started beeping in the middle of the night. It was just a malfunction, no carbon monoxide detected. Maintenance came out right away (in about 10 minutes) and replaced it in about a minute. Great service on that one, and other staff here are very friendly. This is the kind of place where people have bachelorette parties or bring lots of kids, so dont expect complete serenity unless youre lucky.
We stayed in a 3br/3ba unit and it was really nice. Open kitchen, balcony looking out over the valley behind the property and a gas fireplace to make the living room cozy. The hot tub looked tempting but it was cold enough outside that the fireplace was magnetic enough to keep us inside. Not far from 49 but felt like it was isolated in a good way. A great choice for gold country lodging and only 10-15 minutes from the hwy 4 wineries.
Loved this resort! Our room was nice and clean, comfortable bed also. We were excited to see the wildlife around the resort. Everyone was very friendly, specially Buddy he really took the time to help us plan our activities around the area. Theres a kiddie pool for the little ones, there is also a play area. They have a video game room but you do have to pay to play. There is also a small gym with a little of everything for a good workout. I went to the owner update and was very impressed because it actually was an owner update and included free breakfast for myself and the kiddos. There are so many things to do near by, we had a blast Panning for Gold near by. We were glad to discover this resort and cant wait to go back!!!
I love this place. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The units are spacious and recently updated. They also have higher end finishes like wood look ceramic tile and granite countertops. The area is great for couples, but also has some family friendly activities.
Stayed on room 193 and it was a beautifully furnished room. Bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was large and inviting. TVs were also updated and nice. Only issue was the Murphy bed which was in a silly location that was located in the middle of a hallway and blocked access to the living room. Otherwise great stay!
Beautiful area, great city, somewhat annoying sales pitch. We stayed in a three bedroom unit. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The property has a lot of fun stuff to do. We came as trial owners, but we arent going to become full owners, its too expensive with lots of maintenance fees.
We became Worldmark owners after our 4th child was born. Staying in a hotel means separate rooms for my husband and I and we werent interested in that everytime we wanted to take a family vacation. Angels Camp is one of our favorite places to visit. Just a few minutes from Columbia, Murphys and Big Trees. Great place to take the family or a girls trip. Condos are spacious and every unit has a kitchen and private deck. Great home away from home.
Accommodations were great, club house clean. Staff were sticklers on following rules so lacking the friendly touch. Offered a coffee card if I got to desk by 9, empty at 930 and no card. Really?? Had wine happy hour when checking in but kept all cups behind counter out of reach with 1 bottle open. Really!!
Beautiful, peaceful area with a golf course out back! Great views. Its just a short jaunt to the small town of Murphy, which I recommend. Definitely enjoy visiting this location, complete with outdoor pool, large hot tub, exercise room and rec area. The basketball courts are a nice touch for active families. The rooms are consistent with Worldmark expectations - well maintained and a nice home away from home!
The outside of the buildings look dated and perhaps a bit industrial. Once inside, I got a completely different perception. The rooms are spacious and clean. The furniture is a bit quirky -- nothing is pick out for myself, save the picture of the frog over the kitchen sink and the barstools. The balcony is nice to sit on to enjoy the evening air, but out room didnt have the best view. The clubhouse is great, with a workout room, pool, pool tables, air hockey, and video games.
Weve stayed here several times over the years. Its got a great pool for kids along with a playground, tennis courts, a basketball hoop, arcade, and several other games for kids and families. The rooms are clean and as of the last time I was there, April 2018, everything had been recently remodeled. Well definitely go back. Im not a holler, but it is located next to a golf course.
Customer service is always excellent. Amenities and rooms are always nice and clean. Unfortunately the walls are rather thin and the entire time we kept hearing kids running around upstairs. Takes awhile for the hot water to come on depending on how far from the office youre located.
This place has great amenities. The rooms are well kept and comfortable. Everything about this place is great except for two things...1. Too many people. This place is crowded. The front office suggested you schedule rooms 13 months in advance if you want to get two units next to eachother.2. World mark employees are too pushy with their sales. They will hound you to by additional points and packages. They need to relax.
Great staff, beautiful location and plenty of things to do. My only complaints are that they need to update the technology in each space. Update the dvd players to bluray players, and change the wifi system to one that simply requires a password to login in, rather than one that requires the use of internet browsing software.
Not my first time staying here, and defiantly not my last. I enjoy spending time with family in this area where we can stay in multiple apartments, close to one another. A few complaints I do have are that the front is very pushy about spending more on activities. Also the hot tub should be open until later!
Fun location, close to a ton of wineries and cure towns to wander in. Front desk staff was great, room was not ready when we got there, but they were on top of things and got us in as soon as possible. Room could use some updating, but it sounds like they have started revamping the units. Will definitely return.
Clean and roomy. Recently renovated kitchens and new furniture in all rooms. Two pools, hot tubs, fitness center, beautiful golf course adjacent to the resort, and historic Angels Camp nearby - home of the famous, annual Jumping Frog of Calaveras County competition (Mark Twain). Excellent wine tasting available along Hwy 4 between Angels Camp to Murphys.
We arrived at 4:15 for a 4:00 check in after the long drive we wanted to rest for the evening. We were informed that they will call us in a couple hours when the room is ready. We pay for the room and cant even go to it. The water pressure takes 45min to fill the tub. The toilet is loose from the floor. Im not excited to see the maintenance fees have increased if you cant do the job.
My family and I had a thoroughly enjoyable and very laid-back Thanksgiving vacation week here. The weather was sunny and pleasant, and this quiet resort lived up to the expectations. Staff were courteous and helpful. The resort does not offer a lot in terms of organized activities for kids but the on-site amenities were sufficient for our needs and there is a lot to go visit in the surrounding area, especially Murphys. Angels Camp itself is beautiful in the fall.
Weve stayed here 2 years in a row. We love it here. The condos are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Good workout room, pool/jacuzzi, tennis, basketball, playground, and other amenities. Within an hour of snowskiing/snow play, 2 hrs. of Yosemite and Tahoe, close to caves, zip lining, hiking. Several small towns worth a visit. Well be back again soon.
I liked this resort for our three day family vacation. The rooms were clean and big. The kitchen was well equipped. Some of the entertainment things could have been better. Most notably the basketball hoops were a bit loose and the table tennis rackets were toy rackets made of plastic. Also, I would advise everyone to not play their arcade games. We played one and the game got stuck so we lost our money. When I told the staff they just said that they would have someone look at it but they didnt offer to reimburse our lost money.
Beautiful location, quiet rooms, support clean and well run. The staff is very accommodating. There was an unusually long check in time but since we were coming in for several days it was okay. They could use more support in that area but otherwise a fantastic place.
Units are clean, well maintained and hsve a great , very quiet location. Balconies provide outdoor space with nice views of foothills or golf course. No dining on site, but units have full kitchens or you can take a short drive to restaurants. Normally, pool and spa are open. Due to COVID, they are open by appointment only. This was a timeshare visit...very nice, clean and perfect...like going camping but not...big simi-heated swimming pool, open upon reservation; big hot tub not yet open...and a heated pool for small children...plenty of space...Not to mention plenty of Vitamin D...What a Beautiful Day and Place for a get away...
Have family with a membership....come here at least once a year or so. Only gave 4 stars because they were INCREDIBLY pushy this time about going to thier sales meeting because we are not the members of the club. Usually they are not as pushy about it. The place is great...great amenities, almost like having an apartment that is fully furnished for you.
Worldmark Angels Camp: Ive stayed this location multiple times over 20 years. It is a nice setup, especially the penthouse rooms with jetted bath tubs, not to mention the view isnt bad.It is a short drive to Columbia state park, James Town, Big Trees, and Yosemite is only about 2 hours away. The cabin Mark Twain stayed in is near by and the towns are all cute especially Columbia State Parks living historic town.Id mark it to 4 or 5 stars but the timeshare is quite pushy to sell points/extra points even after becoming owners. Some can get aggressive and rude if denied.Overall it is a great place to relax.
A particular salesman I think Gavin was very aggressive, rude and pushy to the point of being intimidating while his co-workers sat and watched. No one came to help me. I had to walk out because he made me feel so uncomfortable. My husband was not present and I feel he took advantage of that. I left upset and feeling bullied. Its unfortunate that my getaway started off disappointing.
Nice resort with lots of interesting things near by. Definitely recommend the wine tasting and restaurant at the golf course. There is also a cute down town. For the more adventurous there are 2 caves you can tour within a 15 minute drive. Moaning cavern also has zip lines and a three hour cave crawl in addition the the normal 45 minute normal tour. Big trees is also close with 1.5 and 5 mile walk option and a little nature center.
I like this place been here several times. The last time was the first we have ever had an issue with a room not being ready they are normally on point but stuff happens. Still a nice property and worth a stay. They are accommodating and cordial if a little pushy on the ole sales pitch.
Excited to see an electric car charger installed now! Its a great spot to vacation with family while still being able to cook home meals without the long drive home from day adventures. Loving the heated pool, tennis court, basketball court, and the play ground. I think the pool is the favorite for the children though.
The location was amazing as we were right in front of the office and the swimming pool. The rooms were clean and smelled nice, all the essentials were already in the rooms. The service was great; we got free cash for going to meetings and they gave out free breakfast burritos.
A very well maintained timeshare location in the Worldmark network. Its peaceful and relaxing to sit on the balconies and sip on a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The rec room and pool are great for the kids. The best part is that it is in the heart of sierra gold country. The scenery and history are enough to make the drive to it worth while.
It was a great place to stay for the vacation and it has excellent service. However, one of my friends had accidentally left an important item after our stay and is desperate to get it, but we are out of state. How and who should I contact about a lost item? Any great info of help will be gladly helpful.
Nice place to get away. Kitchens are not super well stocked - no colander, dull knives, no oil or other kitchen staples beyond tiny salt and pepper shakers and a few other spices. If you really want to cook, BYO stuff. We asked for a blender and they brought a broken one and then a brand new one! WiFi is not free. So its not the Ritz, but the staff does their best to get you what you need.
Shower had two settings: burning hot or ice cold. The oven was burnt and unusable, turning it on filled the room with smoke. Stereo was an old ipod dock without bluetooth, and the bottom of the bathtub was dirty when we got to the room. Worst WorldMark room Ive ever gotten.
The room was clean, and included a kitchenette, a fireplace, two tvs, two bathrubs/bathrooms and three beds. Everyone that worked there was really nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. The pool is heated and the hot tub is huge, with many other hot tubs scattered throughout the property. The location is perfect with nice views from all the rooms and is adjacent to the town Murphys with any supplies you might need.
This is a nice resort with on site pools and other activites including tennis courts, mini putt golf, a half court basketball court, table tennis as well as movie night. The facilities are nice. Golfers will like the adjacent golf course, anglers will appreciate the mountain streams and lakes close by. Hikers will enjoy the large number of trails near and far. Low enough in altitude that most recipes will npt be impacted.
Wonderful getaway within driving range (3 hours) of the Bay Area. More a family resort than a hotel, it has a full kitchen and is close to parks, wineries, limestone caverns, the Stories in Stones shop... Or you can just use the Barbecue on each units balcony and totally chill! Only downside is having to prepare to say a firm NO to timeshare sales if/when they pressure you to attend.
Our stay at WM Angels Camp was relaxing. A great time to be there. No crowds, great weather. Went to Ironstone Winery in Murphys . Christmas lighting speaks for itself, and their white Obsession wine is superb. GREAT Deli also. Photos: the exterior and a Christmas tree in the main event room, used for weddings, etc. Merry Christmas to all.Semper Fi.
The downstairs rooms had flooding from the rain so they had noisy air fans and dehumidifiers running downstairs, Additionally, the bright light in the stairwell shined through the blinds (as they did not have blackout curtains) both factors made sleeping difficult. Those complaints aside, it was very pleasant stay
While we have been worldmark owners for 13 years, our experiences have continually gotten worse. The “sale” staff at check in is so unbearable and unreal. It’s dreadful’ They do NOT stop. Talk about the consistent hassling to get you to go to the breakfast to buy more points. UGH! I sat in the car while my husband checked in and they kept bugging him to go to the sales class, that they called “complimentary breakfast”.. when he declined they asked him to come to the car and double check with me. He told them I would absolutely decline. After they finally dropped it, we got to our room and headed out to dinner. After getting back to our room and unwinding our room phone rang at 8:45pm! I answered and they said “oh, hi mrs we had a cancellation for the breakfast tomorrow and wanted to see if you would like to fill it?” Seriously!!!! I quickly replied “nope” and hung up! Again, at 9:20am they called the room! Luckily, my husband told me to ignore it. I would of went off! They left another message for me to call their extension as they had a slot for the breakfast!!!!! This is so out of hand! You can’t even enjoy a few days away as an owner without them panting and hounding you like a begging dog! I would sale if I could get anything close to what I paid. This company is such a damn joke!
Great place! The rooms were nice, good kitchen, fireplace, actually comfortable murphy bed plus 2 bedrooms. The resort had multiple pools and hot tubs. Location is great for visiting Big Trees, Murphys, even a day trip to Yosemete. I would suggest the staff check the jets in the hot tubs, some of them werent working when I was there.
Location was great for what we were doing (motorcycle rides in the surrounding areas) but not sure for other intents. It is a little far for accessing Yosemite -- but if you need a Worldmark, it is the closest. There are a lot of old towns and remnants of the mining era to visit. Rooms and accommodations are really good so definitely would recommend this for a stay if the location suits.
The penthouse is a joke. Do not get these rooms. The wifi doesnt work for the resort for one. For two it has an overflow parking lot in front of it, so I woke up to people unloading a r.v. at 4 a.m. and the third reason is the a.c. doesnt cool the upstairs. Its nice on the first floor, but a sauna up top. I will not be staying in these rooms again!
OK, so we have been coming here for many years and we have loved it everytime and have recommended it.. This time not, the grounds outside looked clean until we started down stairs to our room In our area..which by the way was by the driving entry to and out of WorldMark. It seems as if WorldMark It grounds keeper took it for granted that area didnt need any care.. Spider nest every where. Webbs on the stairs and brick walls.Oh, dont look up. The entry way to both rooms that share was not swept or blown away from dirt and bunches of leaves. NOW for the room..it so looked so organize and claim. Counter tops and beds well-kept BUT there was no way I was able to allow my kids nor I to walk nor play on the carpet nor the floor.. The floor and carpet to our room was so fricken filthy. I had taken it for granted as I always do there to take off my shoes at the doorway. When my husband said to me look at your feet they are black in the bottom. This was only 10 mins in the room.. Gotta say, after I tried to clean the kitchen floor with Clorox disinfecting wipes and paper towels. I should have taken a picture of the wipes and towels, which dorky me didnt think of doing. They both were so black with how dirty the floor was.. Mind you this was just the kitchen area.. Not the bathroom or mini hallway. Honestly. You were able to feel the yuck on carpet and floor.. No Bueno and so sad that we experience this.
We have been coming here at least once a year for the last three years. Our favorite time to visit is during the winter. While finding snow here is rare, it is only a short 45 min drive and a climb of about 6000 feet to Bear Valley to be able to play in snow. The Bear Valley area has places for sledding, cross country skiing and skiing.
Beds hard as a rock with cardboard itchy sheets. No extra pull out sleeper or roll away available as promised, so one of my two kids had to sleep on the floor. The other one woke up with bed bug bites. Kids disappointed most arcade games were out of order. Got put in a downstairs unit, upstairs sounded like a disco party till about midnight, and no maid services unless youre staying more than 7 days. Water pressure in sishow was non existent. Wifi was spotty at best, and $5 per day per pair of devices. We were informed of absolutely none of this prior to booking and arriving. The only saving grace was it was nice having a full kitchen stocked with dishes, pans, and utensils.

2022-05-23The location is amazing! The people are friendly and the rooms are excellent. Some of the people I met there did have some issue with sitting through a presentation and being kept for almost double the time promised, but otherwise the place was a gem. Will likely go again.

2022-02-12Very nice big rooms and wrap around balcony. Enjoyed the jacuzzi inside the room. And since my dad is a premier member, we asked for supplies and worker came to our room and delivered what we asked. We also enjoyed the gym. Very nice people:) the chocolates on the bed was from my dad. He even put some in the kids room so that when we arrived, we would have a surprise :) Thank you Angels Camp for a great stay so far :)

2022-07-02This was our third visit. We usually get a two bedroom condo. This time the master was on the second floor. For individuals who are differently abled. All the rooms/apartments/condos have a steps to the front door. We had a complete kitchen and a washer and dryer. Since it was the over 100, the AC stayed on. You can go to the various gold rush towns, wineries, go hiking and the resort is a good starting point. Also there are deer

2022-06-24Lots of great hiking close by. We hiked over 40 miles on trails and barely got started on the available hikes in the area. This was our 2nd time here and will return again. We were so busy hiking we didnt take time to enjoy the pool and other resort amenities so maybe we will try some of them on our next visit, and also more hiking!

2022-05-16Positive: We were checked in by a wonderful lady, who was helpful and accommodating. The lady and manager who assisted in payment were also helpful. Staff was friendly. I enjoyed talking with hotel employee at the presentation center. Negative: I felt pressured about buying into the vacation rentals and trying to come up with the money down. In the end I wasn¿t able to to and after I left I thought about it, discussed with others and was relieved it didn¿t work out at this time.

2022-06-06The room was very nice, accommodated 5 very easily with even room for more. Nice views outside the room and balconies to relax on. Biggest issue was location, very much in the middle of nowhere. Also our dryer didnt work and we had maintenance come over and they fixed it, it still didnt work.

2022-03-22The room was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. The gas fireplace in the room didnt work, but someone came right away and made the necessary repairs. One of the guards on the refrigerator door fell off while opening it and 3 bottles of beer broke on the kitchen floor. The TVs in the room were small for the room size. The restaurants in town were very average with unexceptional food. The real downside was during check in. In order to get our room key, we had to first be coerced into signing up for a 90 minute sales presentation. To ensure that we showed up, they demanded a $40 deposit that would be refunded. Its now a week later and the refund hasnt been issued yet.

2022-03-10Their check in process is long, and they charge WiFi fee. Our condo was great! 206C and a great view of the deer from the second floor and the porch. Pool is huge! Can text front desk with questions or concerns.
