A great place to bring your kids. Its not exactly a park, because theres no jungle-gym or swings. But there are alot of trees here and places to sit in the shade. And picnic benches/tables. Each tree group is marked and then explained on a sign along the trail. Great learning experience for those who are interested in nature. Theres even a tour.

2021-05-02Nice small park to have a quiet time alone. Just sit and meditate can bring wonder to your soul and mind. The community center is closed right now but the park is open.

2022-06-04Nice dog-friendly park with walking path shaded in part by beautiful trees. Small but a nice place to walk or take a nature break.

2020-07-30I’m not from the area, but wanted to stop by at parks from different cities to walk my dog every so often. This park is beautiful. I love the smell of the plants as you’re walking, it gives off the impression that you’re actually in wilderness. My dog seemed to have had an adventure of his own as well.

2019-09-24Such a refreshing place to unwind and relax. The park and gardens are so peaceful. Both have a nice smooth place to walk and are easily enjoyed by all ages. Kids will get a kick out of the several giant desert tortoises that live in the gardens (in habitats of course). Check out the community center, there is tons of information for you and the kids to learn about the water cycle, how to conserve, and how landscape in a water wise manner. They offer classes and programs as well there is even a seed library.

2016-06-19An amazing place to learn about local plants and wildlife. Amazing gardens and place to take your kids. So many details and cool things to experience. Free and open to the public. Check out the turtles and all the free workshops they have. A great local resource and hidden gem of a place.

2018-04-14If you are into landscaping, horticulture, or water conservation, treat yourself to a long visit. This place has something for everyone including the youngsters. I took a class here on Fruit Trees for Home Gardens and came away with more information than expected.Theres a self-guided tour featuring a mosaic of garden types that offers a lot of variety in a space the size of a large backyard. They recommend visiting in the spring during the bloom.

2021-07-03Came for compost on first saturday of the month, but they were closed without any sign or mention on their website. Everyone waiting outside at 8:30 deserved not to have their time wasted.

2019-02-13**Dont be rude! Hit LIKE!**I just love this place! Been going to this park for a little over 18 years. Lately, within the past year or so daily. I must start off with mentioning what or better yet whos an attraction up there & thats Sam the tortoise. Now, Ive been going to the park for daily walks with my dog. This place is so nice, clean, quiet & inviting. Theres usually someone either walkingtheir dog. Walking the trails or exercising on the nice workout equipment thats provided by the park. All stationary equipment bit well maintained & cared for equipment. This place is so awesome that they offer free doggie poop bags in 3 different locations through out the park. Dog must be on leash, although some just dont oblige the rules. I really enjoy my walks in this lovely well kept park. On certain weekends the nice water conservation folk that work there offer gardening & watering conservation classes for our residents. Also the nice folks that work really hard at maintaining this park go around the park in the mornings cleaning up. This place is a gem.

2015-10-31Really great place to take the kids for some outside air. They have 4 tortoises on the site. Also excellent place to get ideas on drought resistant plants and gardens for the home.
