Great park, but with nowhere to park. Pros: Nice big sunny open field of grass that is well taken care of with a nice little hill for blanket lounging or picnicking on, though also lots of cool big trees providing plenty of nice shady spots too. There are nice long paths for walking with a few exercise stations along the way, a nice size playground for kids of all ages, a plethora of tennis courts (they have a dedicated few bunches all fenced in together just for the park itself but then the Willow Glen High Schools 10 or 12 courts are right there too!), theres a public restroom which is always useful, a few drinking fountains including one just for dogs, lots of picnic tables (great for little family birthday parties or get-together events) and plenty of nice park benches. Oh, and theres also a large community garden there too!Cons: There is no dedicated parking lot or any parking allowed anywhere on the street anywhere along the entire boarder of the park. The only place to park is on the residential street around the corner on the garden side of the park, or in the parking spaces way down the street and around the corner towards Willow Glen High School on the other side of the baseball field. Also, the bathrooms arent too crazy terrible as far as public restrooms go, but definitely not nearly as well kept up and tidy as some of the other nearby neighborhood parks that Ive been to recently... Dont get me wrong, theyre useable.
We love taking our dog to this park. There are often friendly neighborhood dog owners here. It is also a great family picnic/BBQ park with areas for meals near the childrens play-sets. I also love the groves of trees here. It is a well-maintained park that is relatively safe most of the time.
As many of the reviewer reference parking is confusing, but there is parking. Its located off Cottle near the high school, you can walk in along the garden or behind the tennis courts. We prefer to walk as this is a great neighborhood park, rarely crowded. Often there are birthday parties on the weekend but it doesnt get too crazy.4 stars because the play structure is in full sun, so you have to get there early or later in the day. Great lawn and paths for when my daughter gets older and can ride a bike. Public bathrooms are normally working with soap, paper towels are sometimes gone. The park also has great transit access by using VTAs 26 bus on Curtner.
Fun spot for the kids. Hard to find the parking lot. We thought it was school parking, but it shares it with the school, and you walk through a back entrance near the outdoor farm garden. Bbq stalls, tables, bathrooms, and playground; has everything for a convenient picnic.

2021-05-08Lots of tennis and pickleball courts but the playground itself is somewhat small and lacking. Nice picnic space and field for parties, though. Literally no parking.

2019-12-16This is our neighborhood park. Quick walk up from our house. There is a smallish play structure for little kids and a parkour type for older kids. We come to this park several times a week. There are many picnic tables and BBQ’s under the trees in the shade as well as more tables that are not shaded. The tables are not reservable so if you need to save for a party get here early on the morning to safe space.Nice big grass area, plenty of space for our dog to run around. There are tennis courts that are always busy. The bathroom is always clean, they come and open and clean bathrooms daily around 5:30am.The park is connected to Willow Glen Middle School with two entrances. The best parking is at the Middle School parking lot behind the park on Cottle and use the entrance next to the community garden.

2019-06-30This was a nice place to walk my dog. A lot of open grass and a lot of things for him to smell. Her family is there playgrounds and trails and right next to the park is the San Jose Public Gardens. It was nice to see these little plots of land growing vegetables and flowers. It made me wish I had a backyard. Maybe Ill have to see about joining these Gardens. The only side comment would be that there is no parking lot. So you have to find parking on side streets for the main road is Curtner and theres no parking on Curtner. Thats okay I just asked you the walk for there are many lovely homes around this park.

2020-02-23This is a great park with fun play areas for kids. It’s surprisingly safe and enjoyable considering it’s on a fairly busy street. It is well taken care of, and it has good access to nearby Willow Glen Middle School and Willow Glen Middle School.

2021-06-01Pretty much no parking, which makes this a great, quiet park for nearby residents. Bathrooms, a small playground, picnic tables, large shade trees, and a large grass area.
