The last 3 delivery/package pickups we have had someone not in any type of uniform? Today i received a completely smashed package that had an electronic in it. Like smashed so bad the cardboard ripped. Last week I watched on my camera as someone else jogged up my driveway with a box full of glassware. Over half were broken and all were unusable due to glass debris. What is going on? Did I offend someone?
What is going on with UPS in Anderson. Sometimes I get 3 different deliveries in one day. Two get into the gate, one says no gate code. Twice in one week I had deliveries state recipient refused delivery when they never even showed up to my house to deliver. Waited all day for my package only to be notified I refused it??????? They usually drop and drive away. Someone is a liar and I am probably not the only one this happens to. They better get it together soon.
If i can give a zero i would. i dont understand how the drivers would miss my house all the time. Just this week they delivered my packages to the wrong house twice and it requires a signature so now i am waiting for next day delivery again!!! Those packages are what i need for working at home!!!
Worst experience picking up a package. Order status indicated it was out for delivery over 2 days. Contacted UPS and they said packages cannot be delivered to our home. Why not when packages are always delivered via UPS when we order from Amazon? Decided to put a hold on the package at this pickup location. 1st visit was told it was still on a truck somewhere. Comeback next day and said it is somewhere in the warehouse and cannot locate it currently. Comeback next day and was told it was at the location but it may have been misplaced, “fell off the truck”, seasonal worker may have taken it.
2nd Day delivery really means almost a week if it lands at the Anderson location. If you have a package coming to Anderson but you live in Cottonwood, dont pay extra for a fast delivery. UPS has been a pretty good service in all the other towns and cities Ive lived in, even when Ive lived in the mountains. Its just been this location that likes to change my delivery date at the last minute and waste my time. Delivery date is so unreliable from this location you dont really need a tracking number unless the item gets lost. Just dont order anything important or expensive, that way you can just forget about the delivery date and let them leave it on the porch. If you order something expensive and want to be home to receive it, you wont know when its actually being delivered.
Was notified that my package was in route YESTERDAY. Got notification that it was in Anderson at 7:40am, then got another@10am that it was delayed due to emergency or severe weather conditions. I call it bs. What emergency or weather are they talking about? theres nothing going on today and the weather is fine. Called customer service, and even if you ask you cant go get it from the facility. Customer service rep said it was out of ups hands. RIGHT. all the notifications I got say its entirely in UPS hands. THIS is why I AVOID ups at all cost, or where ever possible. Only this shipper insisted shipping with them. Now my son doesnt get his birthday present on his birthday.
Edit: Noticed people are giving 1 stars for the wrong reason, this is the customer service area, yes they get the packages as well, but that goes through the Redding UPS office. this one is CUSTOMER SERVICE.Only giving a 4 because when I called the place a bot picked up, asked for my tracking number, then hung up. The people were super helpful and sorta had the same confusion as I did, but were able to sort it out within 3 minutes. In and out just like that. Though was told that I can place an intercept in the future before my package arrives if Im worried that it wont reach my house.So if anyone has any worries, place an intercept here, and then come and pick up your package when you get the notification that it arrived here.
Horrible! !!!! Spent $300.00 on a gift . The sender went through great lengths to package for shipping . Opened package upon arrival. Gift was in a million pieces. It had to have been thrown around VERY hard and carelessly to do this kind of damage. It wasnt even glass. It was wooden!!!!! Sucks. I will never ship UPS again.
The UPS supervisor that took over the route in west Redding CA 7/28/2002 - 8/01/2020, has to be the laziest person I have ever experienced in my 64 years due to his incompetence didnt bother to deliver for 4-days. He didnt even try to come into our neighborhood to deliver. Two red labels two-day deliveries he just blew off. He is one sad human and a major failure of UPS organization. I have to return every item since the sat in a truck for a week and not using vendors that ship UPS due to this suck of an UPS employee!
Had a package that was being shipped through this carrier that never arrived to my house.A driver whom I can only assume cant read nor has the ability to double or triple check packages, delivered mine to a complete stranger and let them sign off on it.Now not only has my package been deliberately stolen because of the mishandling of a UPS driver but now my personal information and possibly safety is in jeopardy.
Took the day off work to receive my package. It didnt need signature confirmation but I didnt want to leave it out all day. I am sitting on my front porch when I get the email notification that I wasnt home to sign for the package and now I have to wait over the weekend to get my package. I work Monday and I do not intend to miss out on another day of work. Someone is a liar and should be fired.
Couldnt deliver to my address for some reason (everyone else can). Said I have to come pick it up even though they are quite a drive from me, but since I work 7 days a week I dont have any time to pick it up during their very limited hours. Talked to them about this serious issue and their response was nothing we can do from our end. Worst experience Ive ever had, makes me not want to order from Amazon again.
I ordered a package from a company in Michigan who just processes orders for someone in CAN. My order was already delayed 6 days by the shipper, so I was already quite unhappy about that (they will get their own review). So they shipped this order 11/22 and had a delivery date of 11/30. That is 8 days already. It had already taken them 6 days to get it to UPS.So after waiting ALLLLLLL this time, I went to check to make sure my package was out for delivery. Instead, I see that it was delayed. I attempted to use UPS terrible customer support, which is a joke. It said to review a couple articles but to mark them as unhelpful and chat will pop up. Well I did this about 50x and chat never popped up.I then attempted to call UPS. They werent the least bit helpful. My package was delayed. That is all they can tell me. It should be delivered tomorrow 12/1...thats it. No we will try our hardest to deliver it 12/1 we will do something, we care, we are sorry....nothing. It must be an everyday occurrence if they cant even offer some sympathy to their customers. I asked if I could pick it up locally, and they said I can try.Here is where we get here. I called and Brandon answered. I informed him Id like to attempt to pick up my package. He responds I should not have answered this line. Hold on. He then attempted to transfer me, but instead he hung up on me.I called back and was transferred when I mentioned pick up. The person I spoke with was having issues getting a sentence out and finally asked what my last name was. They looked up my package and said its delayed without a delivery date. It looks like its in San Francisco still. That is about 300 miles from where it was scheduled to be.So apparently its delayed. Just delayed. No reason, no issues, no explanation. The closest I got was, its standard shipping, so it never got off the truck because of cyber Monday. I am not sure what Cyber Monday has to do with my package that was scheduled to be delivered by 11/30. I guess their guarantee is garbage if you choose standard shipping and they dont have to meet their goals.This is why I prefer Fedex by a longshot. They got my packages from anywhere to Alaska within 2 days! I even expected Fedex to be late back then, but they still always got my packages to me on time and very fast. Why cant UPS take notes?Stick to FedEx and maybe DHL. They actually get the job done.YOU HAD ONE JOB!!!!!!

My review is for the customer service at this location only.I was recently sent two packages however only one arrived. When I checked the tracking it said that the package was undeliverable as addressed. So I called the 800 number and I got nowhere. I noticed that there was no number for the local UPS hub. So I want there to Anderson to the local UPS hub. The gentleman behind the desk was very helpful and by the time I got back to my business my package was delivered.
Anderson is the worst! UPS should be ashamed. They are literally batting a 1000 with my packages, every one late. Modac county does not matter to them. Today is good example; 3 packages in Anderson over weekend 1 late on Friday it arrived today, Monday, the other 2 scheduled for today are still in Anderson?? WTF?? I have screen shots and l am going to send to corporate, why have a prime account? Why pay for expedited shipping at all??
We have ordered a lot of items and the tracking shows that it is picked up in the Anderson, CA location and then it is delivered to Cottonwood after 10:30 PM and one item came in at 12:01 AM. This is against the law to have drivers out on the road for this length of time and they are not in the best shape to be working those hours. There is laws about the length of time a drive can be on the job and this is way beyond the law. 12 hours and 14 hours are the law depending on what you are hauling. UPS better hire more drivers. If there is an accident and they kill someone or hurt them then it is going to be on them. The drivers are loaded up with way, way too many items and this should be a problem for all of us.
Simply the best! I live in the mountains near Mineral and based on my 25+ years of experience with them, they are by far the most efficient, reliable, friendliest customer service oriented business ever...even in severe weather conditions they come through! Quality that is hard to find these days and much appreciated. Thank you!
The absolute worst service! I purchased a very expensive item and knowing how very expensive this item was, I purposefully stayed home the day of delivery leaving my driveway wide open, and mind you, my van was parked in the driveway too so as to indicate that a person was home! Well, for reasons unbeknownst to me, the UPS driver decided it was convenient to leave my very expensive item in my neighbors squalor! Ugh! Why!? I was home!
Their tracking system said out for delivery. That was followed by a message that it was undeliverable due to bad address. The address hasnt changed in 40 years and is listed correctly on the email saying it is incorrect. Ive had great service for years but I think that driver retired.
The worst service ive ever had. it wasnt with the local people but the 1-800 number.It spent 2 hours on the phone, kept getting transfered to someone else who didnt have a clue so i had to start all over. The first person kept raising his voive to me and being very condescending and wouldnt let me speak to a supervisor for over 10 minutes because he said he was doing his job fine and not his fault i couldnt understand. when i finally did get to a supervisor i thought he fixed everything but when i drove from redding to anderson to pick it up it wasnt able to be picked up. he didnt document any of it. just the worst customer service ive ever had!
Told them to hold a package for me while Im out of town which they had agreed to do. Then when I left for my trip Its delivered to my front door. Called them a second time only to get no further help until the day Ill be home. Are you guys freaking kidding me? How dense do you have to be! You tell me (your customer) you will hold it until I get back, then just deliver it when Im not there? Like i wont find out somehow? Brown obviously cant do ANYTHING for me.
I have nothing but trouble with ups. Drivers not getting required signatures for $500 valued packages and then also just leaving them in front of my apartment door where I already have had a $300 laptop stolen but that was because they gave it to a random stranger who claimed to live at my address? Even though I gave pacific instructions to only leave with me the purchased buyer....horrible horrible service.
Did not get my package that said it was delivered and was not. The guy drove to my gate and turned around without leaving my package. Called customer service to complain about this guy. Worst service Ive ever had from UPS. Hope I get my package soon, if not I will be asking for a refund

2022-07-09This is one of the most needed businesses for all the gifts I send and the returns I make from online shopping. I wish the counter service hours were longer with starting earlier and no mid-day break but I realize the counter person needs a lunch! How about more well staffed and well trained personnel at more satellite stores instead?

2022-07-12I hate UPS, they not only Lost my package that went across the country with multiple destinations but somehow got lost after checking into the Anderson, CA distribution center not once but twice. Never checked out of the building. They have not paid us our insurance fee or the 2nd Day Air fee for losing said package. We are going on 4 weeks and no contact after submitting claim. Awful company that does not stand behind their service. I will try to avoid using them unless a business fully guarantees to stand behind the shipping because UPS will not.

2022-07-21If I could give lower stars I would. The way this facility has handled a situation that they are to blame for (at the very least partially). A package I had placed for overnight shipping that cost $70, was not delivered overnight and actually had been delivered 2 days later. When I called in, the representative who claimed to be a supervisor named John, was not only not helpful but ended up belittling me and the situation with phrases like “Oh right you’re the one who works at UPS right?” or “Guess what? This call is being recorded so keep going because it’ll just show an error on your end” (That was after I was getting upset by him not helping the situation. All I wanted was my package delivered on time for what I paid for and in return I got an unprofessional representative of UPS and i’m out $70 for nothing. Just don’t use this facility if you don’t have to.

2022-05-09This hub has been serving modoc county for several years since wildfire burned their other location. They have known how long it takes to deliver a package to this region, but refuse to change their published dates accordingly. This takes business from competitors and makes their clients look foolish when they cant deliver as promised. The crack head that runs the place believes that she has met her obligations once the package makes it to her hub 300 miles from the destination address. I dont mean to be crass, but that kind of logic only comes from the mouths of crack heads. They are skimming millions of dollars by publishing unrealistic delivery dates that nobody can achieve, and when software makes the decision based on false information, it costs the competitors millions in lost business because, the other companies are being honest when they publish rates and delivery dates. And by the way, you might want to teach the drivers what a gps is, because I dont like driving around trying to figure out whose house they left it at.Ps. 2022-07-23Had a ups driver file a false report to have my package delayed in my name. I never filed this paperwork. never even saw the driver. he just didnt want to do his job. i will be filing a report with the BBB and looking into legal actions if this does not get dealt with.

2021-12-24UPS is currently horrible! Multiple times now ups has chosen to toss my deliveries out in the road, mud, snow, rain, triple digits, it doesnt matter. We have even put up a three foot sign begging them to deliver to the house. The result: sign is ignored. Often times packages are tossed out in the road, not even on our property!In the last few months, we have had deliveries from ups, FedEx, dhl, ontrac, Ashleys, Lowes, home Depot, and a heavy freight delivery service in a semi. THE ONLY ONE that couldnt be bothered to deliver to the house was ups. Repeated complaints to ups changed nothing. Mine is not an isolated experience either. Many people are sharing similar complaints with me. I am sharing my experience with all the vendors and retailers I do business with and urging them not to use ups unless they can start actually delivering packages as they are contracted to. Beware of the treacherous service from ups!!

2022-01-17We have a big mail BOX and they cant put it there, they toss it over the gate so my dogs chew it up. Going to be a law suit if they get sick. These drivers better wake up.

2021-04-17UPS always takes 3-4 days longer to ship than any other carrier. They constantly have emergencies that delay deliveries. I am still waiting for a package that arrived at the Anderson office 3 days ago. Its been out on the truck twice, and still it hasnt made it to me. They never have an answer as to why, just garbage excuses. If USPS and FedEx arent available to ship next time, Im going to hire a goat to deliver over this company. I trust it more.
