Ive found that lately (and I do have some horror stories from the past, but Im basing my review on this year - 2015), the line moves pretty quickly and the employees are helpful (for the most part). So this post office does seem to be doing a better job at getting everyone in & out more quickly (they have someone who answers questions for you while you are in line, BEFORE you get to the window, which saves time for everyone). What Im NOT happy about are the new (lesser) hours, and the fact that they didnt let us know beforehand that they were changing their hours. Otherwise, keep up the good work guys! I have no major complaints at the moment!!
They confirmed my appointment for passport only to cancel on the same day. Then told me to go to another post office in Glendale, told me they take walk-ins, which turned out to be incorrect. I understand many passport agencies are closed due to pandemic, but I expect government places to at least update their current status.
TISH IS THE BEST EMPLOYEE: Ive been having packages go missing for months. The other day , Tish, a postal courier who does a different route noticed that she kept seeing my packages re directed to her route. She knew that this was a mistake on the postal service end an called me personally on her cell phone to help fix this mistake. SHE IS GOD SENT. She took the time to call me in her own free time. She also made sure to tell the correct driver who does my route to get my package to me. WOW, talk about amazing customer service. You can tell that she is a passionate, hard working employee, who cares about her job and the customers. If they do employee of the month they should really consider selecting my girl Tish. She also told me to give her a call anytime when I have a package go missing. THANK YOU TISH! I hope you see this!!
The service there is less then accommodatingThe Asian lady is lazy and has no retarded for Customer Service. She refuses to scan you items and will tell the other clerks not to scan your items also........... what kind of facility is this that refuses to give you good and polite CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!The only saving grace about this branch is Kathleen she’s the only clerk in this office the actually cares.
I wouldnt say USPS is known for its customer service but this location takes it to new lows. I had multiple employees tell me different information and then do the opposite of what they said. I was told that I couldt get my package back because once it was past the window it couldnt be returned and that was a serious policy to be told a few moments later by the same individual that they could give it back they just couldnt refund my money. Eventually they said they would give the package and refund it if I would leave and send it through another post office. They changed their mind though said they were closing id have to go and there was nothing they could do.
Just fire every single employee in this garbage dump. What a travesty. Completely incompetent staff with zero customer service skills. After USPS was 2 days late in delivering my package and told me it was going to take ANOTHER day, I told them to hold it at the location for pickup. I went there, and was yelled at by an *angry asian woman* in the package pickup section—who told me after speaking for 45min on the phone with USPS and driving 30min to get to the location, that my package couldnt be picked up because it just came in today and its mixed in with other packages. Basically she was too lazy to look, and told me she already clocked out, even though I got there 30min before closing. What a pathetic excuse for an employee, and a joke of a company.
If I could give 0 starts I would. This review is not necessarily about the location but about the staff. My aunt comes to this post office all the time. Today she went in from about 4:30pm to 4:50pm and TIFFANY, who was working at window 1, gave her the worst experience ever. She was extremely rude and she gave her attitude. She is not good with people and she lacks customer service skills. This is definitely not a job for her.
I would give this 0 stars if I could. Ive been going to this post office since 1999 and its always the same story: long wait times, employees who couldnt care less, and an overall atmosphere of incompetence on every level. AVOID THIS POST OFFICE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE! Yesterday (9/30/14) I went to pick up a package and waited almost half an hour for someone to come to the pick up window. No luck. I just left in disgust. The woman in line in front of me had been waiting longer. The post office is proof of concept re: why the US Postal Service is always a day late and a dollar short and quickly becoming a relic.
Horrible, rude service. I paid over $300 for premium forwarding for four months. Nevertheless, they refuse to forward my mail. When the resident who is still at my L.A. address brings the mail back to the Beverly Boulevard Post Office and tells them it is supposed to be forwarded, they just deliver it to her house again the next day! I spoke to the 90036 supervisor about this and sent him a copy of the premium forwarding form, submitted in January, with the credit card receipt. He said he had never seen it because he wasnt working there in January! That is incredible incompetence. And they still are not forwarding my mail! I have filed a formal complaint with the inspector general of the Post Office.I had no problem when I used premium forwarding service from the Washington, D.C., post office. They forwarded mail regularly every week. The Beverly Boulevard Post Office is arrogant and incompetent.
I use USPS as a delivery service for my business on eBay. On May 29 I brought 100 parcels to the office and they lost them. All my requests to check around were ignored. As a result I refunded purchases, re-sent orders. A week later they found my items but my business was severely damaged.
I have generally had a pleasant experience at this post office until today. Today the clerk behind the window was unbelievably rude and unhelpful. I have never had someone make me feel so be-littled in my life. I have never EVER experienced the type of anger I feel at this moment towards that woman. She is the rudest person I have ever encountered. I wish I had caught her name because I am furiously trying to find a telephone number where I can complain and get her fired. I have never wanted someone to loose their job ever but I would be so happy if she lost hers. She should not be in a position to help the general public.
They gave me the wrong instructions to apply for my passport renew, I almost did not go on my trip. They also deliver on my area, did not get my absentee ballot, to late to vote for the presidential elections, that is how bad they are. If you do not want to leave this place on the verge of a stroke or worst, a heart attack go to the Postal Service on Wilshire and Detroit. Excellent service and friendly all around. Closed on Saturdays.
What has happened to our postal system? First off, mail in my building is constantly misdelivered since our original carrier was replaced with a group of constantly rotating mail deliverers. Many talk on their cells phones as they do their routes, which explains why mail is misdelivered. Second, God forbid you need to phone the (800) number. I have phoned 3 times this week, each time held longer than 20 minutes, and given up because I dont have the time to sit on hold. This specific branch has attitude issues. The branch on Detroit at least has congenial employees.
Whoa, Ive lived in Hollywood all my life. This Post Office has a few issues but the workers are great. The lady who accesses the items in line is truly a hoot! What a thought; actually walking into the post office just to interact with her and watch her personality and mastery of her position sparkle. A rare treat in this impersonal and self serve kiosk age.
*Put a return address on it*Ensure the recipients address is legible*Prepay your postage online, or have payment sufficient for what theyre likely to charge you*Dont try and ship a bunch of international packages 30 minutes before they close.Follow these rules for success and you will come to admire how snappy and efficient this post office is.Come in all messed up and youll get a mouthful, which you probably deserve.Speaking of which, dont ever try to do anything international on short notice. You aint that rich I promise.Good people here, that simply have too much on their plate already to make space for your feelings.
Left my package at post office without left note at my door for weeks. And my roommate called them to ask for her package, the person on phone told her its there, but when she went to there, they spent almost an hour and couldnt find it. What the hell.I wouldnt trust this post office at all.Plus I get different peoples mail everyday, its different address!! Can you even read??
As others have said, if you have your act together, they’re fairly efficient. Every time there’s a hold up, it’s customer caused. I’ve lived in LA my entire life and in this area for 10 years and there are far worse post offices around town. For the most part, the people working there are helpful.
I have been shipping for 2 months with this office. I ship my own products all over the world through usps. Have been one year shipping in NY with usps with zero issues. Never in my life I have faced so many issues: Lost packages, packages that get shipped weeks after I leave the packages at the back docking…The list goes on. I was even yelled at on the front counter because I used to leave my boxes there…terrible. Im changing office this week, as many of my customers are still waiting packages from november… anyways, avoid this office.
Lazy, lazy, lazy. They will intentionally leave a package at the station and leave a note at your home attempted to deliver so they dont need to load it on the truck and deliver. 100% of Amazon packages over 10lbs havent been delivered to my home the last 3yrs. Address is correct, no limitations. Ive looked into every possible scenario and even tracked the driver down with pink attempted to deliver slip and found the package wasnt even in the truck. Picking up a package at this station is an entirely other crap show. WORST USPS IN THE COUNTRY.
TODAY 90 Degrees fahrenheit -- after a very hot walkLet me start by saying that this ended up being THE BEST Post Office experience Ive had. It just took a little to get to that point.Came here today to get my passport info executed from the Passport/Visa office down the street. I was told there would be a lady named Ching or some other gentleman to do just that. The first woman I attempted communication with was making a copy at window 6. I simply said excuse me (I wanted to ask which window was for passports -- realized the window she was standing behind said passports) I thought she didnt hear me so I said excuse me again. Then realized she blatantly ignored me as she walked away. This is a similar interaction I think a lot of people get at a post office when trying to ask for direction. So I thought it nothing new.Got in line (which at the time was, thankfully, short) and I went up to the window where a sweet Asian lady greeted me and shared my excitement in getting my first passport. She had a few paper cranes strewn around the area and I told her I liked them and used to make them all the time. She tossed me a piece of paper and I made one for her while she processed my things. She was stationed in Window 2 which is not her usual spot so she was over the moon happy to have a crane of her own for her space! This woman made this visit a 5 star experience but the first woman made it so I could give the place 4 stars.Maybe she was having a bad day. But it leaves an impression.Ill come back again. Now I feel challenged to put a smile on her face. Challenge accepted!
My experience here has been phenomenal. Carmenchita really knows what shes doing, shes quick, friendly and super helpful. I came by to mail some stuff and she helped me apply for my passport - which saved me loads of grief. It also appears to be adequately staffed, a pleasant surprise, as the line moves reasonably quickly and Ive seen 4 windows open at once.
I asked for the cheapest option to send a package Im used to paying $3.45. the staff told me $4.80. when I asked about the $3.45 option the staff said dont sorry about that...they put that there to confuse you. Riiiiiight. I found out my other packages were sent certified at a rate of $3.45 and the staff here only gave the option of the more expensive first class.Use the self checkout kiosks. Its faster and no cost manipulation.
Borderline racism? I visited this Post Office today on my lunch break to mail a parcel that had postage stamps applied to the label totaling $15.00. I had previously had the parcel weighed to determine how much postage to apply. There were only two people ahead in line, but another agent Alan opened a window, however when he noticed the postage stamps, he immediately dismissed me with a wave of his hand saying the lobby attendant must tally the amount. When I mentioned the amount was already tallied, and written on the side of the package, he ignored me and waved forward the next customer, a young Asian woman. I stood patiently approx 12 minutes, until Alan ( Asian man, mid-to late 50s, partially balding), who wouldnt give a last name, referred the complaint to his supervisor. The supervisor Michael only made a half-hearted inquiry, which only made the situation worse, since he hardly seemed sincere. I then asked for the complaint procedure and left as my lunch hour was now almost up. I have given this review one star only because the site would not allow zero stars, which is what it deserves.
Horrible service, make sure to leave a good half an hour f you come to pick up a package! And dont be deceived even if there is no line, this is by far the slowest post office out there when it comes to finding your packages for pickup. Never changes, its been many encounters now, so its not a one time accident
Such a horrible place! They steal my packages every single day when I put all of them inside the drop box. I ship about 100 packages a day and every time about 10 % are lost and never being scanned! But this Saturday they stole 54 packages!! This is insane! Who is working there?! Awful place. And as many people noticed already staff is very-very lazy!
Went there in 1994 - 2003 and it was a hell to go into. I was in tears over the circular horrid service of lost and nonexistent packages that were actually their errors. I stopped going there after several tries and after they cost me $$ by not keeping a record of the POB payment I made to them for a box there. They closed me out even though I had the receipt they wrote for me for my cash payment! (They still owe me my box $ back!)I keep asking people how it is for them and to this day, 2016, I have never met a person who didnt hate the place and find it the worst post office in the USA.
Very disappointed with this USPS location at Beverly Blvd. Staff did not deliver my package. My package Macbook Pro 15 laptop was stolen inside this USPS location. They said its lost and they said to me to file a claim. Better use other courier service like Fedex or UPS.
This has to be in the running for one of the worst post offices in the entire united states! Awful, the worst and they know it and are proud of just how bad the service there is! When I get a slip and I have to go by there to pick up mail you just figure that you will have to wait for 30 to 45 minutes. Kind of like getting on an airplane; just sit back and wait. there is nothing you can do so until it lands (or they get you your mail) you just have to wait.
They lose your mail, damage your mail and then also throw your packages against your door when they delivery them, after damaging them by trying to shove them in your post box with no care at all. Management does nothing, but continues to employ these terrible employees, like Theresa, the woman who just hurled my package so hard against the door that it shook the door and we heard it from the back of our place. Disgusting.
Beware of dropping checks in the drive through mail boxes, I put 2 checks on Sunday October 4, 2015. Next day one of the checks was cashed by an individual (they washed the original beneficiary name). Bank of America is aware of that, our account is under supervision for fraud & we are filing a police report. Will notify the post office as well.
What a bunch of miserable group of people. With the know it all pissy attitude of the older lady up front. To the piss poor general attitude of the employees.me: Hi, I have a prepaid EMS to drop off.Older Lady out front: just stares and walks offme: Hi, I have a prepaid EMs to drop off.Lady behind the window: I dont want it. Take it over there.me: Where?Lady behind the window: Thereme: I dont know where you mean. She finally shows me where and then yells something at me from behind the wall. I dont think it was anything nice.
Good service I like the drop box but Im so tired of that black man asking me if he could wash my windows There was a couple of times he ask me but I was ignoring him and raises his voice Im talking to you! I told him not to come at me they he did and told he was rude. It gets annoying after a while.
I am tracking a package with them. I got one phone call, but whenever I call back (12-15 times now) the line is either busy or it rings w/ no answer. Actually, I did get an answer ONCE, yesterday. But the person I needed to talk to wasnt in that day. So here I am, trying to cal in again, and the phone rings and rings and no one answers it. What kind of a business operates like this??
WORST STAFF EVER ! VERY LAZY WITH LOT OF ATTITUDE . THAT POST OFFICE IS COMPLETELY OBSOLETE AND ARCHAIC ! THEY MARKED THAT MY PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED, I GO THERE WITH THE SURVEILLANCE CAMERA TAPE OF MY BUILDING, PROVING THAT THEY ACTUALLY NEVER DELIVERED IT , THEY SAID A MANAGER WILL COME AND TALK TO ME ... AFTER A 90 MN WAIT ,THEY TELL ME THE MANGER IS NOW GONE! WHAT TYPE OF SERVICE IS THAT ? SERIOUSLY !!!
Bad incompetent workers she did not even hear mine questions if she did she would notice I Amat a wrong place this woman was black rasist why ppl hate good looking young man especially ugly professional women it is definitely a jealousy..stupid females....who needs you

2022-08-10We paid about $300 to ship packages from NY and on the same day they arrive at this post office, someone forwards them back to the sender. On our second attempt they finally updated the tracking information to say the tenant moved. They never bothered to check the name on the packages or go to the address, because this person moved in about 3 months ago.

2022-07-27This is one of the best post offices in the area. They are well staffed and the employees actually care and want to help. Obviously dealing with USPS is frustrating most of the time but this is as good as it gets in LA.

2022-05-17Is it possible to leave less than one star? This station is an epic disaster. Its anyones guess whether they ever deliver the mail, they send out emails stating they attempted to deliver your package at 10:15 pm and left a note stating they could not find your address (try to make sense of that if you can) and they rarely answer their phones if you call to ask about it, and when they do, they generally lie.

2022-02-08I was not happy with the the way the clerks handled my situation at all, and was quite upset about it. But I received a call from Kim after I had spoken to the representative at the 1-800 number and she cleared things up. While the experience was frustrating, I really do appreciate Kim for reaching out to me quickly to sort things out.

2022-01-30My review is for the passport services.I came here to apply for my son’s passport renewal with an anticipation of horror. When I was applying for his passport for the first time it was in San Francisco and it was a pure hell of an experience! I did expect the same situation or even worse. Oh how wrong I was! First thing that happened- we came to our appointment time and we were accepted right away! Then, a lady got our documents! We brought everything from the list and surprisingly it was enough! A minute later she took my son to the room to take a picture, allowed me to pay with my debit card and issued a receipt. That’s it!!! I couldn’t believe it!!!Last time in SF it took me the whole day and this precious experienced left me emotionally scared.I still cannot believe it took us 13 minutes to renew the passport- it’s pretty freaking amazing!Thank you passport lady!!!

2021-12-07Unprofessional, Ghetto and Rude ! They will steal your mail and packages . They stole a customers money order and changed the name and cashed at another post office ( unsigned ) someone they knew at another post office help them cash it 800 dollars she had sealed in an envelope with a stamp . They didn’t help her . They stole several parcels of mine and no one knows where they are. They give you different stories each time . They illegally put in a change of address for a customer she didn’t request it . They didn’t help her . I’m convinced the United States postal services was desperate during the pandemic , everyone was on unemployment and these are criminals they hand picked to work in a federal environment. Please do not receive or send mail here , you’ll regret it .

2020-03-30They do not even attempt to deliver in the first place to a business open 18hrs a day, every day and which location been serviced before constantly thousands of times, that we call us names. Automatically write location inaccessible. 3 different packages with 3 tracking numbers in 3 different days during last week all with the same outcome. Forget next day delivery attempting. Went after 4 days to talk to the office they blame it on the driver and do not have the packages. They are clueless and do not offer a path forward even if they are still in possession of the packages by the logs and I am there.

2021-06-08This is the worst post office ever. the employees clearly hate their jobs minus a good one or two. any chance they can try and say no, they will. attitudes the employees have are completely unprofessional.
