I went inside the post office, there were two people working. They had a customer each. I waited in line and I was up next. With Very aggressive tone the worker asked me excuse me is there something you need?!?! I was waiting for her to say next in line I can help you right here. She proceeded to rush me quickly. Made me wanna buy what I came into buy and leave fast do to the poor customer service. There is always somebody like that having a bad day and taking it out on good paying customers like myself. Idiots
Ive had many misplaced packages this year and late and SO damaged, a few of my boxes have looked stomped on. The actual companies that shipped my items had better and faster responding customer service than usps customer service did. I got refunds and replacements and then all of a sudden a few weeks later usps is like, oh heres your lost item sorry about that. Now I have a few duplicates of items. We have a new mail guy it seems, only because I dont recognize him from before delivering mail and items, and everytime he has delivered he has come back a couple more times apologizing for forgetting some items including regular mail. I know this year has had an extreme amount of online orders but its still frustrating of course when its misplaced that often but most especially the damage of the boxes! That same guy I watched him as I walked outside he stuffed so many packages in my small mail box some of then ripped when I tried to pull them out.
Our first experience obtaining passports, Lady who processes passports was extremely condescending and flat out rude. Zero people skills and an obvious intent to provoke you. She talked over us, she ignored our questions and basically made us feel like she was superior to us. She insisted my father had a second last name because he was born in Mexico, borderline racial. Her jacket read 30 years as a post office employee and that made me feel horrible, can’t imagine how many people she’s served with this horrible service over the years. I work with the public too and am a government employee and it’s never ok give poor customer service. I’m just glad the renewal process can be done by mail. Completely unacceptable.
Im a former Postal worker and I contacted Postmaster in charge of this office after 2 bad experiences and printed off several of these reviews mailed them to her and asked her to please respond. One month later...no response from her. I hope something is being done about the rude women working the counter. One African American the other some other ethnicity. Also my 2 previous reviews do not show up yet...why? Needs a negative zero!!!
I want to comment on what happens with the person who delivers the mail to my house. I am very upset.! 😡pork that person gets upset when he wants to arrive and wants me to get the mail. and I tell to leave it in the mail box .she wont leave my mail .. she is crazy .. The honest truth is that they are really slow and when it gets packed they have 1 or 2 people attending whom are very Slow and some chat too much with customers. out of All the times Ive been here its always the same. Even if there is 2 people in line its SLOW regardless. If this post office wasnt government funded, it be out of business.
Very rude customer service. I asked the lady in front of me if I could ask the agent a quick question, she said yes. When I asked the agent if I needed an appointment, she rudely responded in a very despondent voice, I asked her for a for passport renewal. She handed to me without even acknowledging me, didn’t ever look at me. I told her she was rude and she responded so was I. She appeared very unhappy to work there. I did not get her name, but she is African American with bright hair. I will not be back, I’d rather pay extra for service or drive to Tehachapi for passport.
The male staff, especially the older ones and an older short lady with a very thick Greek accent at the front area are very very rude at this post office. I don’t see the real reason why they have to be rude with the public. The rest of the staff are really nice and understanding.
This lady here at this passport office needs some serious help. What is wrong with her? She was extremely combative and beyond rude. I am reading reviews here about her and they r not pretty. Is there another passport renewal office around? I do not want to go near this lady again if I can . She is ugly and unhappy: not cos she is older and black. Sometime before Christmas the postal service decided they were going to hold the mail for pickup at my local office ostensibly to prevent mail theft during the holidays while they were getting ready to replace the neighborhood boxes with new, supposedly more secure neighborhood boxes.Surprisingly, or maybe not if you have a very low opinion of government workers, every time I went to pick up my mail I noticed that they werent checking identification before handing mail over to people. They didnt even check my ID when I picked up my keys to the new box yesterday!The whole reason the boxes had to be switched out is because of mail theft and theyre just handing mail and keys out willy-nilly to whomever shows up and asks for them. Seriously, people, do your jobs properly.
Firstly, the locations hours are incorrect. They post ✌️p.m. for saturday hours on this website i got there and the store hours on door said 1pm. Go figure. The day before I had to go the office again to chase packaages t that said DELIVERED but werent. This has been a common occurence lately. And i was therebatb2pm trying to find my package and got bitter and sour personalities, the d because i got inside the postal office at530b531 andwand their stufft555o)A
I put in a call this morning at 9:09 to check on my hold mail delivery status- of which was suppose to have been delivered on July 19th. I did not receive my mail on the scheduled delivery, and when I called the auto voice mail stated that I would get a call back within 5-8 minutes. When they didnt call back, I tried again. This time they said I would have to wait 10-18 minutes to speak with an agent, so I waited. I had my phone on speaker and waited- finally, after having waited for 45 minutes I hung up. Finally, at 10:20 I got their call back, but instead of speaking with a real person, I was put on hold again!!! This was the WORST customer service I have ever received!! Obviously, I was treated like one of the thousands of nobodies of whom the U.S. Postal Service couldnt care less about. Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied. Now I have to make a special trip to the post office and wait in a long line to pick up my mail which should have been delivered to my home two days ago!
Im giving the place 5 stars for the great service they have, even at the passport center. I brought all my documents already finished and my own printed photos and the process was a breeze. Only problem is all the other people that go there that are NOT ready at all and fill out the papers right at the counter and did not bring with them a pre-printed photograph, they are the ones who slow down the process.
The actual post office is great but the other office where you get your passport done is completely awful! When I went to get my passport done a white woman was trying to help a older Mexican couple but they didnt speak any English and she was yelling at them in English what to write down for their passport paperwork. Ive never seen someone at the post office be so unprofessional at their job. I feel like to work there you should at least know some Spanish when assisting the majority of the Bakersfield population are Hispanic and will likely speak Spanish more fluently than English. Or at least they should incorporate the passport documents in Spanish too. When I went there they yelled at my mom when she wanted to ask them a question. And when I completed my documents an African woman working there didnt like my handwriting and wanted me to start over and when I signed it at the end before saying that everything is accurate to my knowledge she got all upset with me about it but she didnt yell at anyone else when they signed theirs too. Realistically when youre getting your passport done its the same experience as the DMV. Rude, inpatient, and inexperience employees. Like if they hate their job they should resign instead of taking it out on the customers.
The lady at the register made me buy tape to seal my boxes which was fine. I had to go out to the car to get my wallet and stand in line yet again. Im 9 months pregnant and was struggling and another employee helped me. She took my boxes and took me to the front of the line to pay for my tape. It was really nice and helpful of her so I wouldnt have to wait yet again in line. Thanks again :) I just wish I had gotten her name so I could give her a proper shout out.
As a working individual, from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, to consistently never have my packages delivered to my residence, enabling the need to visit the UPS during my lunch hour, I am compelled to report my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration with staffing 2 person at yhe desk whike 2 or 3 people roam around as if they have eternity to do whatever it is that they are doing. Why the UPS us not geared toward working professionals us beyond me !Still waiting in line...ridiculousness! !!!
Was dropping a package that was already pre-paid, pre-labeled and ready to go. There was this tall, skinny Caucasian postal clerk with a pony tail and he was already done with the person he was dealing with. I asked him if he can check the weight of my package quickly just to double check, which takes like 5 seconds and involves placing the package in the scale.. He rudely answered that he was in the middle of a transaction and I will have to go at the end of the line. Seriously, either he has zero common sense, zero ability to mildly multi-task or just dumb as a rock. Never had a problem with the post office in Camino Media or the main one near the airport.
If you are getting a passport come at 9 AM be prepared to sit for 4 hours.They close by 2 pm and often stop taking new people by 1PMIt is hard to sit around young kids who have to be there but do not want to be. The process is government paperwork with their rules.They will take picture for you for extra fee.
The USPS has become an useless service if you need any help dont expect any the phone numbers are a joke and anything extra that you pay for is a rip-off for example I have been waiting on a package and have been tracking it. I have watched it be dropped off then depart the distribution center and watched it sit in a truck for 5 days while I am told its in transit it was supposed to be delivered in 3 days now it says its working it way through the system. Now the expected delivery day has been changed to a will eventually be delivered. God help you if you try and call for help you will not speak to a live person their computer prompt sends you in an eternal circle. To top it all off they ask you to take a servay when you are done because your opinion matters and it hangs up on you before you get a chance to.
Passport Services at this location was always been great experience, quicker lanes and faster service. Specially should thank Patty Goulart was really patient dealing and taking kids pictures and was always cheerful. Hope all other government employees learn at least a little from her. Thank you Patty!!.
Terrrrriiibllleeeee. Have gone in twice to try to process a passport. First time was on a saturday, went at 9:00am, had note on door saying that they were not taking any more people for the day. They open at 9!!!! one person said that they got in line at 6am to get in and they only take in the first 20 people. Second time was on a monday. They close at 2pm. Went in at 1:30pm. They finished giving out tickets before 2!!! There where only 3 people gathering documents for passports. If there are that many people that need passports, the post office should hire more staff. They are getting paid anyway and it means more revenue for them. Could not give zero stars or I would. So now I have to take a day off work and sit at the post office for a couple of hours. We all loose money if government does not service people in a timely manner. Management needs to be removed for not addressing the simple job of hiring more staff and managing it. Staff answered all my questions and were nice.
Not even a one star do they deserve.If I could give a zero negative I would and beyond. The most rudest people ever. You can’t even go in there to ask a question because all they do is send you to a darn wall and make you read instructions or call customer service. I’m sure to them everyday is something repetitive but come on where the customer service. It’s the worst place to go. If you can drive out of town to renew I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!👎🏻

Workers are awful, they take about 20 passport applications per day (which is not a lot). Even if you get there way before it opens, it means nothing. Workers are so slow and rude. Dont recommend going to this place to anyone. Save yourself the time and go down south to get your passport. Hours are ridiculous and overall a horrible experience each time Ive gone.
Absolute trash and waste of all of our money. They only take 20 people on Saturday for passports(only posted inside the ghetto Look in place). People are lined up and waiting before it opens in order to get a ticket. The hours posted on line all all different from google their website and at the actual place. Very upset why not just make them work 4 10 hour shifts so then they can actually service the people... As the government should.
Never want to go back here, worst post office ever!!! The staff here are not smiling, rude, they interrupt you, and they dont answer your questions. Theres no common courtesy at all as well as no good customer service!!! All of them need to be fired immediately, especially the guy with a big mustache and glasses and the guy with trimmed hair on the sides that has a huge horrible looking beard!!!
My parents told me to fill an appointment for our passport renewals, all because of that guy telling them to go to the website to make an appointment, but the website wont let me, it needs to get fixed, because I cant do anything when I click on Passport Renewal. Fix your site...
Had notice that post office was holding my mail because carrier thought my house was vacant. Took notice to post office within 5 days of receiving notice and they cannot find my mail. I explained my voting ballot was in the mail and could they contact the carrier to see what they did with my mail and I was told I was not a priority and they do not know what happened to my mail and they probably sent it back. Im not sure how long they are supposed to hold mail when a notice is in mailbox and the post office on stockdale hwy does not know how long they are supposed to hold it either. So thank you Stockdale Hwy post office for being so unaccountable and uninformed.
Once again they lose another package this makes #9 in the last 6 months .....always the same answer when I take the missed delivery slip that they leave at my gate which they always say could not deliver because of (dog) which I have never had a dog at this address then when I go into the office they say they cant find the package then they always say its probably on the truck for redelivery ...so I ask if they can contact the driver and they always say the driver has already left for the day which makes zero sense ..because the package would be at the office ....its just unreal that they are this careless with customers packages.
I went in today expecting not so friendly staff, and yet to my surprise I was given great help and attention! Jasdeep was the one who helped me in choosing the best way to ship my package and helped me find the right size boxes id need for a few more! Great service today
The workers here are very busy and knowledgeable. i dont see why so many people have been having hard experiences here when the workers Ive meet here for multiple pick ups and ship offs have been very informative and helpful. Im glad this place is next to my house too, picking up is a short walk away and no hassle.
My passport was mailed to me with the wrong middle name. I went to this office to ask questions about getting it corrected. As I was in the middle of my last question, the lady called the next person over. On top of that, she told me multiple times, in front of everyone, that my handwriting was awful and that I needed to work on it. I was very disappointed in the way she acted.
We came before they opened around 8:30 to get in line to apply for a passport for my son, there were less than 20ppl in front of us. now is 12:36 and there are still 8ppl in front of us. We gonna end up waiting all day here, wish there was a negative star. I DO NOT recommend this usps, but this is the only one in Bako that has passport applications service. There are other ones through out Kern County, Id rather have gone somewhere further instead of waiting all day here
Oh my goodness I have some disabilities and needed copies for a thing Im working on a very kind employee was right there assisting me finally in tears I asked him please will you do this for me he could tell i was really stressed. He gladly took my papers copies made change in hand I thanked him but I couldnt find him he disappeared
I requested to get my mail forward and it’s STILL getting sent to my old address ! What’s the point of requesting it if I’m not getting any mail ! I had to go basically beg my old land lord to check the mail for me because I was not getting anything sent to my new place.
APPOINTMENT ONLY FOR PASSPORTS. They literally turn you away, even if you stood outside for 20 minutes with the bees and your kids while you wait for them to open the doors (which was 5 mins late). They tell you if you want same day service to drive to Arvin. They do not make same day appointments at all.
Horrible. Theyve lied and said they attempt a delivery but never leave a notice. And this has happened on more than one occasion. They could leave package with my manager like FedEx and UPS but they refuse, and would rather you drive to their location. Horrible customer service.
This place is a mess the employees are rude and lazy if your not happy with what you do move on also I put a money order in the boxes outside on to pay the irs and guess what I get in the mail today 8/15/17 a notice from the IRS telling me I need to pay them hmm boy you better hope this gets fixed and have some company meetings on how the staff is towards the Patriots

2022-05-20Made an appt 20 days prior to get there and the clerk (middle age white lady) tells me that the United States Birth Certificate isnt enough proof that she needs my boys foreign birth certificate knowing they are US citizens. paid the Dept of justice $3200 to get them so she can tell me we need the old ones. i even suggested if i can stand aside for 10 min while someone brings them over even though i know its not required she still said no and gave me no option but to leave

2022-08-03Go elsewhere for a passport! Two employees can not handle the influx of customers during the open hours. I had a 9:30am appointment...along with three other people! Also, if youre getting a passport picture, do not wear a white shirt (as per their sign in the lobby.) Better management is needed for this area!~

2022-01-14Unfortunately not everyone working in customer service cares about the people they are serving. There is a black women named Barbie (maybe short for Barbara) that we have had two terrible encounters with. Why she has a job left to greet her each morning is a mystery to me. She is condescending to just about everyone who walks in the door(we witnessed this on two separate days) I asked her a question about why the original birth certificates needed to be sent in rather than just copies. She rudely referred me to “read my paperwork”. I told her that I did but that I didn’t realize the original copies would be sent in the mail. I thought that it was only for verification purposes and that the copies would be the ones sent in. I again asked her why the originals were being taken out of my possession and she said that I would need to find those answers on the travel gov website. You’re kidding me? How does that help with my question in the moment when you are doing all the paperwork and taking my birth certificate for 4 children out of my possession. If that’s protocol I understand but to get not one single helpful response to the people she is helping is the problem. Not to mention she is a very rude women. She also argued with us that 1 of our childrens eyes were not blue. I’m pretty sure as his parents we know what color eyes our children have. This lady needs help. On our way out 2 other customers were apologizing to us. Other customers were even recognizing how awful this women is. Here’s the irony, they had Christian music playing and this women was humming along. Way to be the hands and feet and show Jesus to people Barbie. This sadly is why people are turned off to coming to Christ. So sad that Jesus gets a bad wrap due to people like Barbie. My husband and I tried walking her through how she is coming across to people and the error in how she is treating people but she just would not receive it. I hope for her sake that she has some sort of consequence from her employment but it is a government agency so sadly she will probably continue with no accountability.

2021-12-19I made an appointment to process my passport with photo service included, the day before my appointment they called to let me know their camera was broken... okay not big deal, the lady who called told me I could go to the UPS store to get my pictures taken so I did. I went to my appointment that was at 3:30 pm, I get there and they had me waiting for a while... an African American lady finally call me in a very rude tone, I handed out my documents to her and pictures, and she right away told me the picture wasnt good because it had a shadow, which is okay I understand, but it was the way she said it. I told her if there was a possibility if I could go and take the picture somewhere near by again and come back; she said no, we are closing soon. So my question here is, why in the world didnt she ask to see my picture when I first got there to know if it was good or not? Because, she said it herself they had other people go retake their picture because it wasnt good. It is their fault because their camera isnt working, so the least they can do, is to first make sure if the picture is good instead of having you waiting for over an hour. Long story short, I had to go to other 2 places to get my picture taken, until it was good enough. She was so rude throughout the whole process. Honestly, I would give -5 stars if I could. Horrible customer service. That lady has some attitude, I do not recommend at all.

2021-09-28If it werent for Clerk #16 this would be a 1 star (0 if possible).Teresa gave me the ABSOLUTE worse customer service experience. She was rude, impatient and when I tried to explain anything she didnt want to hear it and talked over me.. Eventually she just got uptight and walked off. Several customers were surprised at her behavior as well so it wasnt just me thinking she was out of line.. I said I will just have the counter person help, who was much more pleasant and helpful. I wont be returning to this location.

2022-05-03If I could give 0 stars I would, went to post office on stockdale today 3/25/19 to try to get my passport. African American lady in the front desk is awfully rude. Talk about customer service, if you absolutely hate your job and don’t want to be there resign your position lady!! I’m am sure there is people out there that would love to have that position. Everyone is replaceable. US post office select well while hiring.

2020-09-09The man delivering in the Laurelglen area is always very distracted on his phone, yelling at the person on the other line. He has mixed up my neighbors’ and my packages with each other’s about 10 times now. I have called to complain and it seemed nothing was done because he just lost my package 2 days ago. If I can’t get a refund or a new shipment I’m going to go to him directly and ask for my $50 back. If he got off his phone for the 2 min it takes to deliver packages he would know how to do his job correctly. USPS no wonder they want to defund you, DO BETTER.
