Staff is friendly and helpful , also they know their stuff ( Id hope so given where they work) store is clean . had to wait a while to be helped but there were a lot of people so it was to be expected. I was a bit unsure about exactly what I wanted and they helped get me a good gun. also gave me honest opinions on everything (this is my first gun) they also gave great recommendations for a good first gun.
As usual at many gunstores. People behind the counter are off putting (unless youre one of their regulars) and dont offer anything unless you ask. Jeez, be a little more engaging and you may sell more product.
Went there to pick up my first handgun didn’t run as smoothly as I thought. Went in there went through due processing. Brought in two forms of ID which were a driving license and lease agreement. The folks who helped me out said the lease agreement was out of date (which it was) but gave me the green light and accepted it. Came in filled out my background check and DROS and was on my way. Month later my handgun came in and I proceeded to wait the ten days, I come back in and they tell me my lease the same one I brought in was no longer good when initially it was. Now I’m running around in circles with the renewal date for the DROS form right on my tail (which btw you have to pay another “penalty” fee if you surpass the pickup dates listed for the firearm pickup). All in all could’ve been avoided and saved me some time, really disappointed and a super turn off for a first time firearm buyer. 👎🏻
Not sure what my rating will eventually be. I paid in full for a Glock 34 on December 8 2020. I still have not received it and close to 6 months is not cool. I called after 4 months asking if a more available firearm such as a Glock 19 could be obtained. I was told to “just wait” and I would be notified when firearm was available. I paid $797.89 in full and have not heard a whisper from Turners. Half a year is too much.
Went in for my fsc and ordered a Remi today. Staff was polite and helpful. Ryan gave great service and one on one service. I will definitley be back, cool place with good selection of products.

Long wait to get in as of now (line has been out the door for the past couple months no matter when Ive gone). Dont be afraid to ask questions when you get in. First time I bought a gun - very pleasant experience. Staff is very helpful.
One year now for my Mossberg that is just crazyUpdate 2 years and 5 months. When I ordered it I was told 3 months.
I have been to a couple of Turner’s Locations. But this was my first time at this Orange, CA location. I had to wait in line for an hour to get inside the store. I finally got to the front of the line to talk to the sales associate, that’s when a store manager walked up to both of us, and they asked me for my photo ID. Which I did not think much about at first. So I gave him my ID. But I thought something was funny about that. But I realized that I was the only African-American in the store. Its funny how I’ve been to other locations and I’ve never had to show ID before I’ve decided to purchase any merchandise. But instead of checking my ID and returning it to me. They put my ID to the side as If they were worried, that I would take the merchandise and run out the door are something. But I got the picture, I will not be spending my money at this location.
Great for fishing and hunters equipment. Guns, rods, reels , lures. No clothing or boots, Very limited.
Have always had great interactions with all staff at this location. Long waits sometimes, but well worth it when you finally dot all ‘i’s and cross all ‘t’s when buying firearms. These guys are all about getting firearms into the hands of lawful gun owners assisting through ALL the myriad of California regulations and fees and paperwork. They try and make it as painless as they can. Just have patience.
Got to turners at 10am on Sunday as they opened. The gun counter was not crowded until around 11am. Did a private sale transfer transaction. Good service, showed us lots of guns on sale and coming up for the black friday sale. My friends son helped us. He knows a lot and took good care of us. Ask for Justin.
They messed up my gun purchase and they acted like it was my fault. I cancelled and will buy it at Ades Gun Store, nice honest people at Ades. Ill not buy anything from Turners again.
Every time I have ever been to Turners they seem to be busy, but I have consistently received more than adequate service. This was my first gun purchase and after describing what I wanted they started the process right then and there. 30 minutes and 10 days later I was back to pick up my purchase. Once again, busy, but reliable service. The staff was very particular about making sure everyone at the counter had been helped and Fred, who was helping me, was very knowledgeable. Overall pleasant experience, I couldnt have asked for much more as far as purchasing a firearm. Everything needs a paper trail.
Always very friendly staff that do their best to attend everybody but dont rush you when looking. Their prices have always been competitive as well.....for California.
Have purchased several weapons from this site but since the laws regarding ammo went into effect, the customer service has become abysmal. If I ran company the way they do, Id be fired, hell I would fire myself. 6 personnel and 4 helping with gun purchases and not one asked if I needed ammo as I am standing by the ammo counter for over 39 minutes. This is twice that has happened and the customer rate was low. I counted 8 potential customers that also wanted ammo that waited for 10-15 minutes that left as well. If they are ok with losing all that potential customers, then I dont know how they have the sense to keep a business open. I will buy all of my guns and gun needs elsewhere and am embarrassed that I am on preferred customer status with this business. A complete joke of a business.
Service is great once you get inside seems like everybody is buying guns to protect their toilet paper. I was standing in line for over an hour to get in, theyre only letting 10 people in at a time. But the guys in there were great!
Purchased my first firearm here. No problems, lots of paperwork but straight forward customer service and direct to the point. Dont come here if you planning on telling jokes when being asked questions. Very happy with the service and firearm.
Great place to shop for your outdoor needs! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their products. Picked up a Californian inshore series a season ago and it has become one of my favorite rods for bass and bonito.
Turners have always been very helpful, but a lot of items are not in shock, had a nice little walk through the store to see what is and isnt in-stock
I went tonight at this place to buy some knives and the knife I liked had the price of $19.99 displayed and the guy who help me took the price from the display. I wanted them for $19.99 because I thought it was a good price when I go to the register and pay they are charging me $44.99 for each I explained to the guy at the register what had a happened about the price and they told me they can’t honor the price that was displayed. I told them I wanted the prove that was displayed and they said they wouldn’t give me that price.
High prices on firearms and ammo. Try a small mom and pop gun shop instead.

One was a Jackass when I saw him deal with others ,then I was finally unlucky enough to have him not be helpful to me. Ill pass and take another number next time.He might think hes working dmv? I just bought my first gun and the staff was incredibly helpful with helping me choose a rifle that fit my needs. I also got my Firearm Safety Certification which was also an easy an quick experience. Overall I Turners is a great place and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE.Here is why:I bought a rifle from this store on the 29th of June. I went through the checklist of paperwork as this was my first purchase of a weapon ever. In anticipation of a fantastic new rifle, I even bought 600 rounds and started the scheduling with some old Army buddies and close friends whom are gun enthusiasts for a weekend of fishing and shooting. Put down deposits on some rental equipment before hand, the usual stuff for a whole weekend after I was supposed to be picking up the rifle. After the 10th day for the waiting period, I hauled my butt from work to the store in great anticipation to pick up my new baby. When I got to the store, my rifle was nowhere in the system, they didnt know who I was, and only saw that I had bought some ammo.After waiting for 10-15 minutes for them to figure out what was happening and me showing the nearly $1,600 charge on my cc from Turners, THEY FOUND MY PAPERWORK SITTING AT THE FRONT DESK WITH ALL MY PERSONAL INFO ON IT! It had not been submitted or even kept in a secure place, out of public view.After being there for another hour, I was told they had not submitted my background check and the 10 day waiting period would start tomorrow because it was almost closing time for them.I had to cancel my portion of the weekend trip as I am unable to participate, other than to supply some extra ammo, am out over $100 in goods and non-refundable deposits, and was still left waiting.I am writing this review on the 20th day. I called the store before going down and was told I can pick it. Cross your fingers for me they werent looking at another customers info and I still dont get to take my rifle home.
Price range on guns are high. Cheapest firearm is $300 something + . Gun counter is knowledgeable about various issues, but not all. (Like #4 buck, and not Bird) . Accessories and other items in the store were pretty cool and they had all the basics for a gun owner. The store, however, could use more unique inventory, and various other items to sell.

Reasonable selection of stock but didnt have 12g choke keys or a broad enough selection of hunting gear for what I was looking for. I guess it would make a good local gun shop but if you are visiting the u s.a better make the trip to bass pro shops about 40 minute drive away.
Very helpful staff. Appreciate that they are very veteran friendly and hire alot of veterans. Cant wait for ammo shortage and gun shortage to be over.

Do not go to this location for private party transfers. I went in to buy a rifle off of someone and was told they were to busy to do transfers today. I told them I would be happy to wait and was told it wouldnt matter. The annoying thing was that the manager didnt want to come out and tell us this she just had the poor salesmen repeat it for her while she was on the phone with him. I understand they dont make much of a PPT but I wanted to buy magazines and ammunition for the rifle. It was made clear to me that the only way I would be able to DROS a gun would be to buy it from turners then they would be happy to sell it to me. I would recommend any of the other small gun stores in orange over going here. The staff member who was the unfortunate mouth piece for the absentee manger recommended Fowlers and I would do the same.
My go to LGS. Always my first stop when looking for a new toy to add to the collection. Staff is knowledgeable and usually more than willing to offer assistance.

Racist, racist staff. I stood there for 10 min and theres this one clerk, had no customers but just kept passing me and ignored me completely. Me and my wife walked out and made sure he heard me that I was ready to buy but nobody was asking so lets go!And did I say that I am not white but he was.Just an update. I bought my gun, laser sight, ammo from Fowler. They were friendly and very accommodating. Expensive but customer service goes a long way.
Who doesnt love a store that sells guns? Anytime I go into Turners I have to leave my wallet with my wife or Ill leave broke. They have a great selection of hunting/fishing/outdoors items. The staff here is top notch, not a question they dont have an answer to. Even if I moved miles away I would travel to Turners Orange.So if youre looking for anything having to do with the great outdoors go to Turners Orange, there is a 82.5% chance you will see me there.
Everybody here is helpful and has a good personality. They really help educate you if you have any questions. Im here to finally pick up my Springfield xd-9 when I first came in 10 days ago Fred was my salesman and was extremely relatable and funny. I enjoyed our conversation and his ability to answer my questions.
Today I went to Turners Outdoorsman to purchase a new weapon and I had the pleasure of having Marty as a sales rep he was very pleasant and professional I know from experience that buying a new weapon takes time because you have to make sure that the paperwork is correct because of the DOJ, but Marty was great and a pleasure to talk to Kudos to all personnel at Turners I have been a loyal customer for over 25 years and I will continue to choose Turners as my number one choice.
Extremely slow, hour+ wait with only 6peopke waiting. Employees talk way to much to customers. I watch 1 employee talk about random stuff not involving the fire arm. Ridiculous the guy didnt have any urgency to help the growing line of people. Then he went in the back for 15 min. Less talk more helping customers!!!!
Nice pistols, shotguns & fun semi-auto rifles (before new 2017 CA gun laws). Ironically, the new legal semi-auto rifles coming are more lethal, just less configurable!?! Great sale prices at gun shows & new location grand openings, but other local & online stores often beat Turner’s weekly sale prices!UPDATE: Coming soon... when Im not so @#$% at Turner’s!!! I had a disagreement with them, but everything might be working out for the better. Ill update my full review soon... also curious to see the new location in Orange!

Been going to Turners for the last 30 years or so and I have never had an issue with any product or employee. They have always been able to provide great service and product knowledge. Cant say that about many places...

This Turners has great customer service. Everyones so friendly! They even were nice enough to give us last weeks sale price on a rifle that the sale just ended the day before. (Now dont everyone who reads this go in there expecting them to be this nice and lenient with everyone!) Made the mistake of going to Ammo Bros in Cerritos... wont do that again. Ammo Bros is also running out of stock on just about everything. Turners might be a slightly smaller store but still had a wider variety of accessories and parts.
Went in looking for a bow, but they dont carry archery gear. thats ok, i got great customer service. staff was able to direct to me to other local businesses that did carry what i was looking for, and i left with a set of nice snap caps that were cheaper than what i could find online. i would definitely shop at turners again, the guys behind the gun counter are knowledgeable in both firearms and the laws regarding ownership.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service, my dros, was denied, which was wrong, Ive bought my firearm a couple weeks after that, but even tho was denied at that moment continued to take money, then 10 days later just said denied, with no reason, and handed me a #to a recorded message about denial of dros. Answered none of my questions recomend Turners, Just not this one!!
Most of the guys at the gun counter were nice and helpful. The problem is one of the managers was an a#$ to me and their prices on guns and ammo is on the upper end. Also their inventory is non existent.
Absolutely garbage! I called before leaving my home asking if they had Tan Pmag magazines because no gun shop in my area did. I was told there were a handful left so I drove nearly 20miles only to be told they only had black pmags! What is the point of calling in if the employees are imbeciles? Never shopping at Turners again.

I called looking for a crabnet and squid the person on the phone said they didnt carry eather one I said any idea were to fined squid to fish with he said not that he new the a week later I took the bus to dr they are just down the street but about 6 miles I was telling my dr about looking for crab net he said turners has lots of them ... so after I left I went there and yes they had like 20 of them and squid wow its amazing how from nothing to so much in one week then y with this store at allI orderd a smaller crab net and they said they would call me when it came in its been 3 weeks so Im not happy with this store im in a wheelchair and not easy to get places but not to give hood service not s plus in my book

The first person he had a beard with a sleeve of tattoos asked him for an guns that came with package, he said they didnt have any. Then a guy who knew Spanish said they did have guns that came with packages, so that was very interesting, both had very different responses.

Turners always has the worms you need and their customer service is always excellent. The Huntington beach location seems to have more in stock then the orange location, but they will always have what you need online.

This place sucks! More than once had to drive out here and the people close down and get out early! I drove an hour to get here today and got here 10 minutes early only to find that the entire place was completely locked down and nobody was there. I even called half an hour earlier and could not get anyone to answer. If you are going to close earlier than your closing hours then CHANGE THE HOURS! Or at least answer your phone!! Terrible customer service.

Bought shimano rod, manufactured defect in 1 week. Store doesnt honor the exchange. Store manager Kyle has clearly confirmed manufacture defect, and only to send to shimano for service.

I call other Turners Outdoorsman to see the availability of a rifle in store and all of them said they were out of stock. Then I called them and asked as well but, apparently they, Discontinued selling the gun. Which is total crap because, the gun is still on the website and other stores were out. All in all this store is not that great and I hate it.

Horrible customer service So they asked me to bring my car registration So I did my car is non op So I go pick my gun up they didnt want to release it to me because of registration they said it wasnt valid Bs they shouldnt of started the process if my paper work wasnt straight and they didnt give Me a call to say bring some other type paper work never again will I come to this Turners

2022-04-03This location is awesome, Ash helped me pick out a great knife. They have a great staff and very accommodating to woman (hard to find in this industry). Also bought a 10/22 Ruger and the transaction was flawless, highly recommended!

2022-06-17I had the worst experience ever in this store.I was humillated by one asian employee called Johnny who was very demeaning and showing off how much he knows about guns and how little I know. He was engaging with other customers to make me look even ignorant but some of his statements were completly false. I spent over $3,000.00. They gave me everything but one scope for my rifle. They never gave me the scope that I paid in advance and they said they have no idea when they will get it, period. I went there three times, I paid the scope ten days ago which isat the warehouse in Fontana but nobody will bring it to Orange. I went there today for the forth time, very frustrated trying to understand such incompetent job and they couldnt care less and they wont do anything to make it better. I left complaining and before I get to the door they were laughing out loud about my complain. Bunch of incompetents with trashy attitude. Save yourself tis misery and go to BASS PRO a professional company with very professional employees. Unfortunally the Small claim court is my only option, first time Monday morning I must serve this incompetents.

2022-01-19Good guys at the gun counter. They try hard to help everyone as quickly as possible but people need to understand that this store is busy and they have as many people behind the counter I think they can fit back there and they do a pretty good job of answering all your questions and getting you what you need. Ammo usually in stock, prices on most items are competitive, and its close to home cant complain.

2022-06-25I have only been to one other place in 65 years that their customer service is as slow.if you want to wait 45 minutes to be helped, go to the one in orange.this is not a place for handicap people.i have been here 2 times with the same results, and maybe 10 people in line.

2021-11-29I went to another store looking to buy a pistol, after waiting for an hour with no help I called up and spoke to Derek. Over the phone he was very helpful. The next day I went into Turners and met Derek, he was able to help and make the process really smooth. Picking up the pistol was even easier, the staff was very helpful. This is going to be my go spot from now on.
