We booked a room for 5. Upon checkin we were told that they had a stay over and offered us two rooms, one across the hall, for our 3 little kids 5 and under. When I said this was not acceptable the clerk said very rudely that she would just cancel our reservation then and we could go elsewhere. We only stayed one night as we needed a place to stay then and we went to another, much nicer and accommodating hotel. I do not recommend this hotel at all as the clerks believe they have all the power in the world and when you ask for a manager they refuse telling you to call corporate. I know that there are unexpected things but a call and compassion goes a long way in the unexpected and acting like we, the customer we’re at fault is not how it works. We will not be a patron at Marriotts going forward unless I must after this. I do not recommend this place unless you expect to be treated rudely.
Stay was pleasant. Accommodation was nice and comfortable. Only issue in the room was that the amenities did not match the number of guests on the reservation. We had to ask for more towels, bowls, spoons. Serving hot breakfast again (safely!) was a welcome move. Front desk staff was friendly during checkout, but could be better during check-in. Overall, I would recommend this property.
Positive: The facts are good. She told me what to expect and it was better than I thought my birthday there was wonderful. My best friend and her husband said you always pick great spots now we¿re going to come here all the time. Negative: Maybe more selections of food but we were able to share what we did have it¿s okay though overall I love the food and the moon.
I have stayed at TPS in Campbell more than 20 times in the past 2 years. Great customer service. Awesome staff. Rooms are well provided with full kitchens, so you can cook if you want, or just chill your nice white wine or beer and cheese :) The beds are super comfortable. Easy walking distance to the Pruneyard or DT Campbell for dinner options. Recommend Lundardis for groceries. Great deli, prepared food options, excellent produce, etc.
We enjoyed our stay here for our purpose of having surgery. The kitchen was very helpful and we had a 2 bedroom suite with ample room and space. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. It is a clean and comfortable property. Beds and pillows were very nice. I would stay here again. I thought the freeway noise would be an issue but it never was. Having the park next door and walking paths were very nice too. Free breakfast was great too.
I was charged a $83.02 fee for a cancellation of a booking for a room cancelled 20 mins lateronce realized of the date error. Called the hotel and was pushed to call mariott customer service. Was pushed back to the hotel but that no manager is available. Still stayed at the hotel and paid on the correct dates so they did not lose money either way. I have been trying to get in touch with management to get the cancellation fee refund but keep getting the runaround and attitude that it is my fault for cancelling it incorrectly from guest services and no guarantee of when I would be getting a call from the manager. Very frustrating to deal with any possible booking mishaps since noone else is able to process.
Wonderful accommodations! Rooms are spacious. Kitchen has cooking utensils, plates, and flatware. Roomy seating area. Great office work space. Very comfortable place to stay. During COVID-19, I feel safe. Just one down point, they still advertise breakfast, but dont provide any meal. Its because of safety. There are options like packaged food. They have packaged food and snacks for sale. So, why not something similar for guests at breakfast. Or, simply offer a $5.00 credit for no breakfast. Gotta get creative...
Stayed at this location for a few days for a wedding at Ainsley House. It’s a short walk to that venue and in the heart of downtown Campbell. The rooms were spacious and clean. I kept locking my key inside my room and they were always happy to make me a new one. The staff was fantastic and the check in process was easy. There is plenty of parking in the area, but entering the hotel from the street was kind of a pain because it was only accessible from one direction. They have a hot breakfast consisting of sausage patties, hard boiled eggs and the usual that goes along with a continental breakfast. My only complaint was the general chaos of the breakfast room and area. In the 3 days I was there, every day they ran out of clean trays and utensils. The trash was always overflowing and the tables were always covered in crumbs. Other than that my stay was pleasant and the location was great.
We really love this hotel. The facility is well and conveniently located and close to all major highways. The rooms are modern, well set-up for short or longer stays, with a complete kitchen, which is well supplied with utensils. Our room ahd a wonderfully comfortable bed and was very quiet. The Pruneyard shopping Center and downtown Campbell are each a 3-5 minute walk away and provide many great places to dine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast is more than adequate and the hotel provides complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby all day long. In short, this is a wonderful place to stay
Stayed for a few nights for work. Comfortable and clean, good walking distance from several nice shops and restaurants. Biggest complaint was a slightly off-putting smell in the room and a mildly annoyed front desk staff member during checkout. The smell was like too much cleaner, and quickly faded, and I did checkout at 4am to catch a flight, so both can be forgiven. If you have a deep wallet, this is a great place to stay, though nothing really sets it apart from other hotels.
Clean, centrally located to everywhere I needed to go during my six night stay. Employees always greeted me in hallways and lobby. Felt safe and secure, room was quiet and comfortable. Employees Marisol and Fernando deserve a raise, they went above standard customer service, they soared like eagles. My room was cleaned and refreshed everyday. Have recommended this location to friends planning a visit in December.
The hotel suite had a homey feel to it. It had a fridge and dishwasher, dishes and silverware available. The complimentary breakfast was better than we expected. We were expecting your typical muffins and cereal, they over exceeded our expectations. Though they did have muffins and cereal, there was also the options to make your own waffles, there was delicious oatmeal available with different toppings, choices of juices and almond milk which the kids also enjoyed. I recommend this place to anyone staying in a hotel.
We love staying here due to the location. You walk out your door and you can go on a lovely walk all the way to Los Gatos, great restaurants in both directions when you leave the hotel. Movie theater and shopping Within walking distance. We did not have the opportunity to use it but they have a great area to barbecue a table and chairs and a sitting area. Very homey atmosphere.
I just wanted to say how delightful and pleasant these suites are. The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast was great and the staff was excellent. One member of the staff Alvaro went out of his way to assist me in making sure we had everything we needed since we were celebrating my dads birthday. He went above and beyond to make our stay a great one.
Weve stayed at the TownePlaceSuites San Jose Campbell in the past, and were delighted to come back this year. The hotel is conveniently located and nicely designed. The front desk staff was welcoming and informative on check-in; the housekeeping staff is thorough and friendly; the staff in the breakfast room are helpful and make sure that the buffet options are stocked and fresh. Our room was clean, attractive, and comfortable, with terrific beds and a living area that provided a place for us to spend time between family gatherings. We definitely will be back!
My 2 children and their significant others and 1 English bulldog pup stayed at the Campbell towneplace suites while visiting family over the holidays... It was a great experience - clean rooms, comfortable beds, great to have a fridge for left overs!!! The staff was helpful ,welcoming, and so kind to our pup!!! Sometimes you dont always feel welcome with a dog- we sure did!!!The breakfast buffet was just perfect... Nice variety... Not too heavy- quick grab and go light snack to start the day!Overall, a most enjoyable experience - and quiet - and the parking lot was full so I know there were people checked in!!!
To get to the hotel, there is only one direction on one street to get into the hotel parking lot. Plenty of parking spaces near the front of the hotel. There is a nice trail and park next to the hotel, but I did not explore either. There is a locked door after the receptionist desk to get to the rooms. The door knob only works if you lift the handle up instead of down. The rooms are decent size. I enjoyed having the kitchen with a full size fridge. Room was clean upon arrival. AC/fan is somewhat loud. I placed my Do Not Disturb (DND) sign for privacy and to refuse housekeeping but after the first day, the sign went missing and my room was cleaned! I felt violated and uncomfortable that someone entered by room when I had requested them not to. When I told the front staff what happened, they only placed another DND sign at my door. No apologies whatsoever. Breakfast was average, they had egg and sausage patties each day. Breakfast area could have been kept cleaner.
Great location in Campbell down town and across the street from The Pruneyard! Lots of Restaurants and Shopping. The Suites are really wonderful to stay in because of the kitchenette. For Business use, they have a nice large desk for work. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom has a big closet and additional bedding for the sleep on couch. I really recommend this location for any occasion. I already have reserved my next stay and plan to stay there in two weeks after that.
The counter staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Even the maintenance guy would see my wife and I walking towards the internal lobby door and run to open it for us. We did not share with the staff that we flew in for a funeral. So their kind actions were simply their daily culture and pride. They really created a pleasant experience for us during a sorrowful trip.
We were greeted promptly and warmly. staff made sure kids felt welcome. living area of suite was super spacious. perfect kitchen for us to have simple meals and avoid eating out all the time. continental breakfast met expectations. close to shops, restaurants, farmers market, park, and light rail. wish there had been a pool but my fault for assuming there would be. overall a great stay!
Ive stayed at this property for a total of 92 nights this year. It has been excellent in both quality and location. The staff has met or exceeded all of my expectations both in terms of friendliness and in making sure my needs are being met. The hotel is clean and inviting. Its location next to the Los Gatos Creek Trail makes it an excellent starting point for a bicycle ride, walk, or run. Its also within walking distance of a number of restaurants and stores in downtown Campbell and the Pruneyard. Its also a short distance from the Winchester Light Rail station, providing public transit access to the entire Bay Area. Give it a try. You wont be disappointed.
This hotel is in an excellent location, and convenient to many things. I would stay there again if the opportunity was there. The one draw back is that they list having a Breakfast available each morning. It is a continental Breakfast, not a full Breakfast. Honestly thats not a huge deal to worry about, but understand its not a full Breakfast!!! Besides that the place is amazing and located next to a cool park and trails to explore!! In the evening you are a 5 minute walk to many restaurants. The walk will do you good after eating at some of the great choices you have in the Pruneyard. Enjoy your stay!!!!
This is a fairly good business hotel but it is starting to show its age. The carpets are dated and the room TVs are also dated. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Pre-packed bagels and muffins are not my idea of breakfast. I went out for breakfast most days. The staff are very nice and very efficient, that is their greatest asset.
We had a very large two room suite with kitchen. This was a handicap room and were told it was the largest available. Price was reasonable especially compared to surrounding areas. Felt like a nice apartment rather than a hotel room. Service was excellent. They were responsive to requests to silence the loud guests above us. There was also a water leak issue but it was promptly taken care of and they even left our two year old a gift of a couple bath toys for the inconvenience. Offered to switch our rooms as well. All said we had a nice stay and would do it again.
Probably the best hotel Ive stayed in for a while. The kitchen comes fully stocked with utensils and pots and pans. And was very clean a comfortable, and they had a few more hot breakfast items than most. Also very close to downtown Campbell. Id definitely stay again!
Great staff, great location it’s next to Campbell park which has a walking, running, biking trail. My kids and I took our dog there every morning we all loved it! Great restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Campbell has really cute downtown area and every Sunday they have a farmers market it was really fun to walk through. I highly recommend this hotel to anybody!!! We had a great experience. The only thing that I could say that was disappointing was the breakfast. No waffles or eggs just Continental style.
This review is based on having stayed at the TownePlace for about 70 nights over 3 years. The staff at the reception are delightful and they ensure a great stay by offering guides and maps for newbies and sometimes even a fruit or a cookie! The check-in/check-out is completely seamless. Rooms are pretty large and the bedding is also quite comfortable. Housekeeping does a great job everyday. If you are renting a car, you must know that the place is easily accessible by car and the parking is free. They serve a cold breakfast in the morning and only have coffee in the evenings/ night which becomes monotonous and is the only negative for the place. The kitchenette is fantastic with the entire range of utensils·required to cook a quick meal.
Location is perfect. Downtown Cambell is walking distance with a lot of restaurants. The room that I was in had a kitchen which was very convenient when you are there for a long time. The service was great when they cleaned the room. Front desk workers was greeted you and very nice. The breakfast was alright nothing special.
After close to 23 hrs of long flight, I reached Towneplace suites in afternoon. Received a warm welcome by staff over there. Within few minutes i was given my room which was situated in 1st floor having an amazing view of trees & flowers and so refreshing. Positives: -. The staff at the reception were very helpful. I reached my work place using uber which is less than $10 sometimes, mostly Downtown campbell LightRail station is just few minutes walk which cost just 2$. One of the wonderful neighbourhood is Campbell and you always feel homely in this place. This is important for me. - The prune yard shopping center is just a block away and will keep you engaged in the evening. The nature walk behind the hotel is just awesome and nothing can beat that. - The internet works great. There was a playground just beside the hotel and its so refreshing seeing kids and everybody playing in that. All in all a very plesant experience.Improvements:Loved the breakfast, but could include more variety.
The perfect place for a long stay and very comfortable for short term as well. Super comfortable bed. Spacious room. Tons of amenities including a full kitchen. Huge bathroom for a hotel of this size. Great breakfast with a self service waffle making station. Plus, theres a big park next door with lots of trees.
We were in town for a solemn event so our family wanted to stay at the same hotel. We chose TownePlace Suites for several reasons: close proximity to other family members, ability to have a full kitchen so we had the option to eat-in or eat-out, roominess of the suites, insulation is excellent so we never were bothered by freeway or road noise and we are long-time Marriott travelers. The reception staff made every effort to place us close to each other. The hotel workers always greeted us and held the doors open when we entered their area. Breakfast staff made sure all the kids were all fed! My grand-nephew loved the waffles and ate the whole thing. My grandson is a mixed martial arts student so he loved running the path around the hotel and took total advantage of the exercise room. In conclusion, our sad journey was made that much less stressful by our stay at TownePlace Suites.
I stay at Marriott Hotels routinely for sports events and vacations. Usually I stay at a Residence Inn but I have experienced the Courtyard, SpringHill, Fairfield Inn and this is my first time with Townhill Suites. They were like a small version of the usually spacious and accommodating hotels. Their breakfast was sub-par with limited options that changed throughout the breakfast. Their might be an omelette early and fried eggs later. There were also no vegetable options. The kitchen was like walking into a tiny house with small appliances and no space. Also, the 2 bedroom suite only had 1 bathroom. Every other one I have every stayed in has 2 bathrooms. Overall it was not the experience I was ready for or expected. I guess on the flipside it made me want to go out and not spend as much time in my room.
Nice new(er) place. Had the basics for for a good stay. Small gym but allow me to do what I needed. Fast internet connection. Breakfast was better than average for similar properties (liked your orange juice). Close to Downtown Campbell for the weekend farmers market and nice restaurants within walking distance (Try Mos a few blocks away). Overall it is a nice place to stay at if you have business in this area.
We spent 4 months in the hotel and never had an unpleasant day. Though the décor is not lavish, & is certainly not my style, the staff is wonderful, the room clean, and the bed comfortable. The breakfast room is sunny & welcoming and the outdoor patio an enjoyable place for a sunny afternoon. The continental breakfast could use a waffle maker, but there was enough variety in what was offered that no one left hungry. Because the hotel is right on Rt. 17, I recommend a room on a lower floor on the park side.
I stayed in this hotel for over 70 nights and it was great! The price was extremely comparable to an Airbnb in Silicon Valley, but I received so much more. Every person on the staff always greeted me with a smile and was there when I needed them. It was an awesome stay and would recommend it to everyone looking to stay in that area. Also, Campbell is a cool town with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Overall it is a good and clean property. The only 2 negatives are the design of the hotel. Walls are really thin, we can hear the freeway and the baby crying next door. Also we reserved a 2 bedroom suite. In one of the bedroom, the bed is next to the return air for the AC. So no one can sleep on the side of the bed next to the return air. It is just too noisy when the AC is on. So on that queen bed only one person can sleep on it and the person sleeps on the other end of the bed.
We love the towneplace suites because it feels more like home. Rooms are clean and spacious, bed comfy. House keeping is very polite here.. There are plenty of restaurant options within walking distance. Also, there is a park right outside with a walking trail thats really nice.
My wife and I stay here while completing a relocation. The staff were excellent and accommodated our every need. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of keeping our room clean and sparkling. The one bedroom room was spacious and quiet with a view of a walking trail. I will use or highly recommend this property to other visitors to the area for either business or leisure visits.
We really enjoyed the quite room. The studio is set up to make you feel like you are at home. We loved the full kitchen and fridge. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast had a nice variety and it was constantly being restocked.
I stayed here for a week over Christmas and had a wonderful stay. Great rooms and pleasant staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast attendant made sure everything was stocked and would happily get anything that was needed. The rooms are a great layout, clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for what I needed.
I have to give this a five stars! I have two kids that you wouldnt be able to tell were kids if you could hear us down the hallway LOL. You would think that there was a goshdang circus in the room down the way! But seriously. For my rambunctious youngins and my self this place is really tolerant to families and pet friendly from what Ive gathered during my stay! Would definitely recommend to friends and family or anyone trying to get away for a bit. Its super close to a whole and tons of restaurants and tap rooms that are overly priced! And in a nice little part of the city!
The hotel is at a great location, Near to offices, shops & restaurants. Complimentary breakfast was great with a lot of healthy options. Rooms are well maintained with clean bathrooms. It has a small kitchen too. Service is good. I had a great stay here & recommend this hotel to others looking for a stay in campbell
3:00 check in. arrived at 3:30 after traveling 8hrs in a car to bring our daughter up to UCSC. Our two year old was with a cold and due for a nap. Come to find out our room wasnt ready. We asked if we could be put up into another room not worrying if it matched what we booked until our room was ready since they werent ready to accommodate us s guests yet, so our toddler could taker her nap. We were told no. Followed with if we didnt like it we could leave and go somewhere else! I almost couldnt believe what I heard from the supervisor Jillian working the front desk. I asked for the GM and of course she had just left. To took another 45 minutes for them to get the room ready while we waited in the lobby. It was apparent we are not important. Besides the extremely poor customer service from the front desk it was a lack of compassion. We would not recommend if your a family they are not accommodating and made you feel like the were put out due to their employee issues that became the trickle effect of a late check in process. Rooms were tidy but worn. There are so many Marriott hotels that deliver BETTER service and have a nicer feel to them overall. Would not recommend!
I stayed here for 3 weeks in June due to nonavailability of places at other residence Inn by Marriott in the Sunnyvale area. This place is conveniently located near the Campbell shopping area and is easily accessible from the highway. Takes about 30 to 40 mins to Santa Clara, my work location, during peak traffic on week days.Ample parking space and quality of the hotel overall comparable to other long stay Marriott hotels. Staff is helpful and friendly.Internet speed was slow with repeated breaks in wireless connectivity which needs improvement.
The beds are nice. The cable goes in and out often. The toilet seats are terribly uncomfortable. A/C works fairly well. Breakfast is bagels, toast, muffins, cereal yogurt, and fruit. My room had an odd smell. It might have been from the air freshener they use but you get used to it quickly.
It’s a perfectly serviceable hotel. Entry into lobby from outside is a little inconspicuous, it took us a few minutes to find it. Room was fine, though our toilet was set on a slight angle...not enough to cause problems, it was just a little weird. Staff was friendly and courteous.
We attended the above noted golf tournament in St. Martin, about 30 miles from the hotel. We chose TownePlace Suites because it was the closest Marriott. We found the room to be extremely comfortable and the facility very clean and neat. The daily breakfast was an unexpected treat that we found wholesome and complete. The hotel is conveniently located to downtown Campbell where we found many quality restaurants and other retail establishments. This was our first stay at a TownePlace Suites and we look forward to our next stay.
I felt right at home when I was visiting friends for the Thanksgiving Holiday. They suggested Town Place Suites and it was a perfect fit for me. The room was like a mini apartment so I felt comfortable relaxing in the room during the day and was able to keep a few simple staple items in the refrigerator so I didnt have to rely on my friends for every meal. The staff was outstanding, warm and friendly and the property was well maintained. It was the perfect way to travel for the holiday as it felt like my Home Away From Home.
The hotel is really good value for what you pay. Its clean, modern spacious rooms and the hotel is in a great location near to shopping , restaurants and a park and los gatos creek trail. Staff is super nice and really goes out of their way to make you feel at home. There is plenty of parking. Breakfast is basic but clean and good enough.
Great area, nice and clean hotel. Friendly staff and close to everything. Courtney as front desk was very welcoming and the staff was nice. Property very clean and in a great location. Even though lobby was being renovated, the stay was excellent. Only drawback was no pool. Other than that great place for a great price
Stayed in one of the few 2-bedroom Suites for 2 weeks during some personal business in the area. Very clean rooms, fully stocked kitchen (as far as dishes.... could use some basic staples, seasonings, etc.) Extremely comfortable beds in every room. Sofabed (couch - did not use the fold-out bed) was too soft and sunk in the middle... uncomfortable on the low back). Very nice location, adjacent to walking/running/biking trails and a creek. Walking distance to historic Campbell downtown w/ great restaurants. Overall, very good location and property.
We stayed at this location a few times in a three year span. The staff has always been top notch. The rooms have always been great and super clean. Wi-Fi has never been a problem. And the kids like be tiny little pool. The free breakfast was a great money saver for us and one less thing to worry about.
The TownPlace by Marriott has been a good place to stay. The hotel has the same typical amenities, and the hotel rooms have been clean. My main concern with my stay was the open server room on the first floor. As an IT security professional, my concern with this is probably more than most. I will advise that connecting to their WiFi is probably a bad idea. Otherwise, they did a great job keeping me happy. I will be considering staying here again when I visit Campbell next.
Brought family along on multi-day business trip. Lots of room to play and relax. Kitchenette handy. Good size fridge. Next to kids park and bike/walking path which leads to downtown. Very friendly service that helped with things we forgot to pack for the trip. Breakfast just ok no hot items.
I would recommend the Towneplace Suites SanJose Campbell for your next stay. The rooms were nicely updated and clean, the breakfast was great and the hotel staff was friendly, professional and helpful. The rooms were quiet, no noise from the hallway when guests were coming in and out. The location is great, close to downtown Campbell, the Pruneyard shopping area, public transportation, major highways and the Los Gatos Trail.
We had to move out for the weekend, because of our condo area being termite fumigated. We selected TownePlace Suites San Jose Campbell without previous experience and were delightfully surprised. We had booked a Suite, but because of some long-staying guests, the Suite didnt become available. Instead, we got two Studios on the same floor almost next to each other and that arrangement suited us very well. Excellent short stay experience.
The room was clean, no smell; staff was great, polite and friendly, the complimentary breakfast was enough and quick, the exercise room was small but not that much traffic which was great for those who used it; there are many running/walking/biking trails outside of the building; very close to downtown campbell; overall, stay was great; had a wedding nearby; only stayed in the hotel for breakfast and a couple of hours in the afternoon
Hotel smelled badRoom was small, cramped, uncomfortable beds. Service was non existent. No one seemed interested in helping us.Kept running out of breakfast items. Waffle batter was frozen solid and couldn’t be used.Whole stay was unpleasant.Hotel is a limited hotel- which is not listed anywhere on the app or website. Limited hotel means poor or no customer service.
The staff was super-friendly, the facility was neat, clean, and well-lit, the breakfast was great with plenty of choices, the room was large and stocked with everything we needed, including actual adult-sized appliances. We got so much more for a low price there than we have at many so-called luxury hotels - a great experience!
I rarely leave reviews however was very disappointed in this experience and would like to make others aware of what they can expect. This hotel is located right next to the freeway. The road noise is extremely loud as are the guests milling about in the hallway. Very poor noise insulation with walls/windows/doors. The 2-bdrm suite is also extremely small and hvac unit located right next to the bed. Pull-out sofa is unsleepable without a lot of extra padding (very thin mattress that is stuck to the springs).
I was hoping after the first few days, something positive with changing this place that my whole stay was a mess. I was booked to stay here about 2 weeks and call days ahead of time to explain I would be staying there for work and a quiet, out-of-the-way room would be ideal. This hotel basically does the absolute bare minimum to add amenities. When I get to check in, my room isnt ready and I was advised the person still cleaning my room spoke no English at all so they would not be able to give me a time estimate on when it would be complete. I read it a little bit less than an hour until the room was ready and again explained I would be there for work so I was hoping the room would be something quiet and also asked for a cart and told the hotel employee that I had rather large equipment that had to be brought in. I loaded everything up and when I walked into the room the first thing I noted was the lack of furniture. There is no desk, just a couple small stands, and no dresser. I had explained multiple times I was there for a couple weeks, I have two weeks of work and personal clothing and a ton of equipment.Im going back to the front desk and they put me in a second room which had a small desk that was otherwise the same. There was dirt all over the floor, the stove didnt work, and the entire room smelled like something had been very badly burnt during the previous day. they sent someone to look at the appliances and advised the microwave would not be usable and would have to be changed out completely the next day and they fixed the stove the same day to the extent that it technically worked, but the very old coils were angled upwards so anything I said on top of them ended up spilling. By the next morning, I went to retrieve my hair dryer from under the sink and noticed it and all of my bathroom appliances, were completely soaked. I had to again go to the front desk and tell them there is now a water leak. They switched my room yet again while I was at work that day and this room had an actual dresser and large desk, making me wonder why it wasnt put in this room to begin with. For the price we were paying per day, which I believe was $259 per night, what I was getting was absolutely ridiculous.I stayed in that room and go to the same issue with the stove, all of the coils angle upwards so anything you sit on top of them ends up at an angle. It also seems very, very unsafe. All of the coils jiggle around very loosely in place. then I also noted that instead of charging the card that was put forth for the room, they actually charge my personal credit card for the price of the room. I believe the name of the individual was Dominique, and she advised she released the funds that day. 3 days later I received an alert on my card for potential fraudulent charges and American Express explain to me that nobody had contacted them to release anything. Another two days went by before someone from the front desk finally released the charges.Overall, the place is very old, the morning breakfast is absolutely disgusting, and they allow smoking and drinking on site. Its all fun and games if Im at a bachelorette party or something, but I reported a lady who was stalking around in between peoples cars and hiding, I thought she was eventually trying to break into one of them, and it turns out she was trying to hide her drug use and open alcohol container. Lisa Andrade, the manager was notified, and she said it was okay because that person was a guest at the hotel. No one even spoke to the lady.Overall, I would never stay here again. See pictures for burned carpets, shoddy stove, etc.
Very nice property, clean and well kept. Staff at check in very professional. One night stay only. Quiet, backs up to a nice park and jogging trail.Breakfast was packaged food only so if your looking for good healthy breakfast you should make other plans. But great to grab a yogurt and coffee. For the $$, Great place!
Conveniently located but awkward to drive and park. Easy to walk into Campbell downtown and located right on the los Gatos trail for walks and exercise. Because of a barrier dividing the street the hotel can only be accessed by driving in one direction. Otherwise this is a standard business level amenity hotel.
Our family has been coming here for 3 years while my husband works. The staff always remembers us and makes sure our stay is great. They have upgraded their breakfast options, rooms are big and clean and being right beside Campbell park and walking distance to tons of shops and restaurants is a bonus.
Breakfast seems to be lacking. wish there was a hot tub. bathrooms are beautiful curtains and rooms could use an update. couch and bath curtain is sad looking oven top did not work. . ice cube tray broke first use. utensils a bit rusty . 2nd floor smells funny . headboards in rooms with kitchen seemed not very centered at all . all the extra space seems awkward. always saw work being done on hotel which is positive. moving in right direction always constant concern to be providing best service. thank you
Good Location / Bad Location - This place has pros and cons. A pro is that it is located within walking distance of downtown Campbell, which has a lot of great restaurants and shops. A con is that its very close to a freeway. Its squeezed between a freeway and a creek, so there is no pool because theres no room for one, which is another con. A pro is that there is double windows so that you dont really hear the freeway. A con is that although the weather is great here, you cant have the window open because all you will hear is the freeway. Another con is that its a bit difficult to get to. The street out front had a divider down it, so you have to go past it and make a u-turn.Overall, thought, its a decent place if you want to walk to downtown Campbell.
Not an outstanding hotel but the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was unimpressive and the exercise facilities are greatly lacking. The highway noise was difficult to ignore and parking is limited. The room was clean and the cleaning staff was competent.
The front desk staff is amazing and so friendly. There is a beautiful creek next to the hotel where you can enjoy a wonderful walk. There are two place in walking distance to shop or eat..Campbells Downtown area and then the PruneYard where you can also see a movie at their movie theater.
This hotel always goes the extra mile. Theyre always ready with my key, have warm cookies waiting, remember me by name, and today they called me after I checked out to tell me they found a pair of shoes left in the closet. Most hotel just throw items in lost and found. They always exceed my expectations. Highly recommend.
Not the best Towneplace Suites Ive stayed in - extremely noisy location next to the freeway, even with the paned windows you cannot avoid the noise. HVAC unit was very loud, you could not have slept in the bedroom. Breakfast was all carbs, hard boiled eggs, yogurt. Not to the level found at this chain. Great staff!
The San Jose Campbell TownePlace Suites is a great place to stay for business. The suites offer a fridge, microwave, and stovetop for an extended stay. The décor is modern, very clean and well kept. Staff is friendly and accommodating. And afternoon cookies are the best! :) The location is easily accessible to major thoroughfares and highways. Its close to dining and shopping in downtown Campbell. Great value and pricing!

2022-05-18Worst hotel experience ever! Based on the reviews, I requested a room away from the freeway but on arrival at 2PM, was told that only the freeway side was available. We were given a shabby room (clogged sink and shower diverter not working) with a noisy old air conditioner that would not shut off when the room cooled down. I was awake until 3AM with the loud freeway noise and loud air conditioner. There was no manager available to get help from, and the check-in clerk told me to call Marriott myself if I wasnt satisfied. Even Monday morning after 9 the manager wasnt in, and I left a written message requesting a call-back but two days later, still no call.I was finally able to get a room on the quiet side the second night and it was a remarkable difference! This establishment is really two hotels in one. Away from the freeway, the rooms are nicer and allow you to sleep. But even if you request it when making the reservation, the hotel does not honor that request. Their website is useless in this regard.

2022-04-12Had my future mother in law stay here when she visited. She really loved it, the rooms are a great size, awesome location between downtown Campbell and the pruneyard, also very nice workers. Breakfast is like a normal Marriott.

2022-02-08There was a little mix up with our room when we first arrived-- when we walked into our room there was someone inside working on the dishwasher but the situation was fixed quickly & we were moved to another room across the hall. However, there was a slight smell throughout the hotel, particularly in the elevator (not sure if its from old carpeting or what) but otherwise everything was very clean and great location to where we wanted to be.

2022-06-14The rooms were fine, but my biggest complaint here was the staff. They just weren’t friendly, accommodating or service oriented. As a Marriott lifetime platinum member I have never stayed at a hotel which was so dismissive of the status I’ve spent years working to earn. When I was checking in, there was a guest ahead of me who was older and having trouble logging into the internet. The kind thing to do would have been to help the guest to logon - instead she just rattled off the things the woman should do and rolled her eyes when the woman walked away forgetting the bath wash she had gotten for her.I had a few other interactions with the front desk and none were remarkable. The one which led to this review was the hotels’s refusal to honor Marriotts “guaranteed 4pm late checkout” for platinum guests. First the front desk colleague told me that it only applied to guests of a higher status. I said that’s not what the Marriott website says. She then said, well it’s subject to availability and we are sold out. I then said no you aren’t I can book at least 3 rooms on Marriott.com right now. She finally agreed to give me a 2 pm checkout as a special accommodation but couldn’t honor the “guaranteed 4pm checkout.”Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for elite Marriott members, there are other far more accommodating Marriott hotels that will take better care of you.

2022-06-14Positive: I like the location of this hotel. Negative: AC unit in room was blowing out WARM air all nite and I was uncomfortable and sweating all nite. Beds was shaped like a U. Hotel rep agreed to move to another room which WAS OCCUPIED BY ANOTHER PERSON. Very unprofessional and seems like not organized.

2021-09-07Last January we had a trip. We went to this so-called 5-star hotel in their area. We chose a room for 2 and it really went well. We love the accommodation that we had and the place was so pleasant. They also have free rides for us to roam around the place. It was really awesome, the food taste really good. On our 4 days of stay in that hotel, we experienced a lot more of a 5-star hotel.

2021-09-16We regularly stay at the TownePlace on our annual trips back to the US from overseas. We enjoy the facilities, and the location (we own property in the area) and the staff are very helpful, efficient and friendly. Our only slight disappointment this time was that, after staying at this TownePlace from July 31 through September 6, 2021, and after our check-out date moved back due to an airline change, our daily rate was increased for the final 2 days (Sept. 7-8) of our stay. Otherwise, the overall stay was very satisfactory.

2021-06-14Courteous and friendly staff. Fairly satisfied in how accommodating they were in blocking out 4 rooms as close together as possible. Rooms were comfortable and clean. There is no pool at this hotel. They do however have a first come first serves private bbq area. Breakfast is currently a grab and go- sort of service but they so have some hot items.
