My air compressor motor starts to struggle at about 50 PSI, and then shuts off. I purchased it from Home Depot about 16 months ago, and have used it between 8-12 times. I paid a $20 diagnosis fee and left my air compressor with the tools department so they could diagnose and hopefully repair it. They called me about a week later and let me know what was wrong, and said the part would arrive in a week or two. Two weeks later I called because they never called me. They said the part hadnt shipped yet, but it will arrive within a week, and the compressor will be ready same or next day that the part arrives. I received a call just under two weeks later. I was told the compressor was ready, and there was no Additional charge.I went to pick it up two days after receiving that call. The person at the tool repair and rental desk went somewhere in the store without saying where he was going. He brought my compressor back, covered in dust and un-touched. He said the part hadnt shipped yet, and he didnt know why I was told it is ready. I decided to take it home, so I signed a paper saying I picked it up.A couple days after I got my compressor home, I realized there was 50 PSI in the tank. Thats what it was set to a month earlier when I dropped it off for repair at Home Depot. They had let it fill to that pressure when they tested it in front of me. This means they let it stay pressurized for a month. This worried me, because compressor tanks rust quickly if pressure is not released after use.I immediately let out the pressure, and sure enough, a big spray of rust came out of my compressor tank. The air compressor was damaged when I took it in for repair, and it is worse now.
