I love the Westin the people are nice and welcoming as for the room nice and clean the only down fall was that the shower nob fell off but no biggie i was able to rig it a little to do what I needed. For the location... nice and the view of the place felt very !!elegante!! Will be staying here again and recommending to all my friends and family.PS. The Valet guys were on it 👌 and very patient and nice always love my experience here ❤...
Located near city hall and shops and restaurants this hotel is still the creame of the crop!Good sized room and clean, bed was perfect and they restaurant was even open late.Walked to a local restaurant that night and got to see the beautiful old Pasadena area near city hall.More expensive then most hotels in the areas but well worth the price.
Positive: Great location in Pasadena. You can walk pretty much to civic center of Pasadena. Quiet rooms, amazing customer service, and decent food Negative: The bathroom is dated with the tub. They do have renovated room but it¿s a cost upgrade. Parking fee could be better but for hotel is ok.
After my stay at the hotel, I reviewed my bill and found that I was mistakenly charged for Valet Parking, even though I paid for self parking.Ive called the Westin Pasadena twice to try and resolve this. In both instances, theyve confirmed that I indeed didnt use the Valet service, and promised to forward the case to the finance department. However, theres been no further followups, and my credit card charges still include the valet parking subtotal. If youre staying here, I would suggest to review your hotel bill during checkout carefully. Youll have a hard time getting your money back otherwise.
My husband and I enjoyed the Westin Pasadena. We are Titanium members and about to reach Platinum for life. They upgraded us to a fantastic suite, with a great balcony. We also paid for my father-in-law’s room with our points and the hotel even upgraded his room. . The food and service at the restaurant was really good. The hotel is also quite generous for the breakfast stipend they give a Titanium member. My husband and I really appreciate the fact that they gave really nice upgrades to both rooms and gave a nice breakfast stipend. The fact that the hotel did this makes us feel appreciated for our loyalty as a Titanium member. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5, is because my husband and I noticed that we were given misinformation a few times, and this shouldn’t happen in a nice hotel, employees that work at a nice hotel like the Westin should be well-informed. Other than the misinformation factor, our stay was fantastic! I know my husband and I will be returning to the Westin Pasadena when the opportunity presents itself.
I have to say, this hotel definitely has a way with a certain demographic of people. The customer service was phony, unprofessional, and quite unnecessary. The rooms were OK other than dust everywhere as well as dirty vents and bad room service reps. We experienced a particularly form of treatment here that I will not leave in this review, however we do intend to take further action because the customer service here was unacceptable. This is a very “basic” Westin, compared to others I’ve been to, but the staff must think otherwise. With that being said, I will make it my business to not patronize this location again, and contingent upon the results, possibly any other, along with sister companies.
Avoid at all cost. Ive stayed in this hotel perhaps 15-20 nights in the last 2 years. Ive spent thousands of dollars at this specific Westin hotel. I had an absolutely horrific experience there. Quality has gone down, the staff that is there during the day is wonderful, including the security of the hotel who previously helped me with a printer. I also know the ladies who work there during the day. However I had the misfortune of engaging with the night staff, what appears to be an East Indian security guard, and an overweight Caucasian gentleman, not sure where you found, or who trained these individuals, but they will be the demise of your hotel. After what happened to me last night I will never step foot in a Westin hotel again. I will not give more details here, but it has been a truly vile and abusive experience, that should shame any establishment that says they are in the hospitality business. Super unprofessional, and ugly energy, when I communicated I would be filing a complaint due to the guard conduct they escalated the situation. I wish i could get every dollar of my hard earned money I spent at that hotel back, but for sure I will never step foot over there again.Ps: after writing my review I went and read the reviews from other guests. Clearly I am not the only person who had a bad experience. I tried to get I touch with the manager all at the next day unsuccessfully. I finally connected with her at 7pm, she first told me the “night staff didn’t mean to do what they did”. When I told her do you realized how abusive thy were. The manager Told me “I’m banned from the hotel”, and hung up on me. The entire conversation lasted less than a minute: truly pathetic establishment. They don’t deserve to use the world hospitality not sure where they find the savages who work at this hotel:::: Never will see a dime of my money again.
No hot water! I would not be unhappy if the staff communicated properly. Mechanical failures happen. However, twice, the front desk told us they would call the room and would give us an estimate of how long it would take to fix the hot water issue but did not bother to call. The front desk person was impatient and for sure did never even bother to say sorry.
Disappointed stay :(Good location and pretty lobby. But not worthy the rate compared to other premium Marriott hotel.$17 self parking without in and out.$22 valet parking with in and out.Pro-1. Good location, closer to old town Pasadena, and shopping center nearby2. Lobby is pretty with beautiful library.3. Bedding was comfortable.Con-1. The restroom was old and dirty not like the photo from website.2. Lack on cleaning🤢. Dirty towel with bunch of hair (easy to see when hk folding them). Mold everywhere in the restroom on the ceiling and sink.Shower curtain was smelly.3. Housekeeper training. 10am in the morning, a house keeper only knock in the door one time only, and opened the door within 5 seconds wait. 12pm was the check out time) She saw my language and said nothing just closed the door then left. And I could hear she kept doing the same to other rooms. Then she started cleaning my neighborhood it was extremely load and I kept getting shock by the load noise from her.4. Lack of amenities:No rope, even it showed available on both Marriott app and website. No body wash, only one bar soap.5. TV in room was all style, not able to stream from phone or no apps (such as YouTube or Netflix)
Positive: Convenient location Negative: Windows were filthy although they could have been easily reached for washing. I attempted to call the hotel to get information on parking. The phone was not answered, no message came on. When I called the 800 number it turned out to be reservations.cd
Billy dardan!!!! He was absolutely amazing!!! When I was in the lobby with nothing much do, I started to converse with him and he made me laugh so much. I truly enjoyed his company and I wanted to get know him more. Unfortunately, he had to attend to other peoples needs. I truly appreciate the banter and wittiness that was radiating from his character. I truly hope that he gets promoted and he continues to make a positive impact on many peoples lives.
My daughter and I visited March 3rd. The experience was HORRIBLE! We love the Westin hotels, but this one was not up to standard. The front desk staff was HORRIBLE! I experienced the worst customer service there ever. The linens were dirty and the tub stopper did not work. Hence, the full tub after taking a shower. I called the general manager twice. I was disconnected rudely once. Needless to say, we want our money back for this horrible experience.
I havent stayed at this hotel yet but if the front desk, Adriana, is any indication of what my stay will be like over July 4th and 5th I am overwhelmed with joy.In these hard times stellar employees like this are hard to come by and deserve to be recognized and noticed.I hope Adrianas supervisor will see this well see this and give her some accolades as well.
I wasnt very impressed with the room we had in this hotel. I was there with a group and I also heard the same from others. The room is very dark. We literally had to turn on every light in the room and it was still not bright enough. The is a very thin cover on the bed with two sheets between. I realize this is a trend with most hotels Ive been in lately, but if you like to sleep in a cool room, you will be too cold. There needs to be extra blankets in the closet or a thicker covering on the bed to begin with. The pillows were not very comfortable either, and look nice and fluffy when you first look at the bed, but when trying to decide which pillow I needed for my head and neck, the one I chose actually became very flat. The pillowcase was tucked it to make it look like a nice pillow but then when the tucking became undone, there was practically nothing to the pillow. The bathroom did not have enough towels for two people. Only one set, and when I asked the maid for another set, she didnt even give me the bath sheet, so I was left to dry myself off with the smaller towel. The hairdryer had no attachments to it, not even the piece that directs the air to one section. There are not enough hooks or towel bars to hang the towels and no storage space underneath the sink for my own toiletries. Thank goodness I brought them, because they didnt even have a shower cap or q-tips. Just soap and lotion. There are dispensers in the shower of shampoo and conditioner. There is no makeup mirror, so thankfully, I brought my own. Very disappointed in this hotel. A Westin should be held to higher standards than what we experienced. Years ago, I used to love staying at Westin hotels, but now I find the Hilton Garden Inn to be much better and they offer all of the things that were missing from my review.
Cute hotel in Pasadena. Easy drive into DTLA right before rush hour. I had events in DTLA at 4. It took 20 min to get there during the week. The rooms are a little small. I had what seemed like 2 full size beds in the room.I worked from the hotel for 3 days. It was a little more convenient than going to wework. They do have in room refrigerators. The bathroom was decent. The gym was good too. Lots of machines for cardio. The weights were limited though. The heaviest dumbbell was 50lb.Would definitely stay again.
Nice hotel right in Pasadena. You do not need a car if you dont need to leave Pasadena because it is easily walkable to everything. I will say that the room was a little bit underwhelming especially when it comes to Westin standards. A bit untidy (toilet was dirty, old lotion bottles on the floor) and a bit unkempt (the curtains were off track and needed to be repaired). Other than that it was a good stay.
Positive: Location is great Negative: Room smells like cigarettes cave. It was so bad. I didnt ask for switching room because it was already midnight, I had plenty of heavy luggages, I traveled alone, and no one helps me to carry my luggages to my room. I had breathing difficulties.
Room was amazing stay was amazing up until ran into desk person named Lealiz. First I was told they do not have a microwave at this location what hotel does not have a microwave? This one certainly does in the employee break room because if it was up to Lealiz they did not have one. Then upon extending my stay and paying for my room another day Lealiz had my key access removed and refused to allow me into my room until I paid a second deposit of $100 for incidentals despite the fact that they were still holding $100 already. I am a gold elite Marriot Bonvoy guest member meaning that I stay at thier properties quite often and am entitled to certain accomodations nevertheless Lealiz lied about her specific position with the hotel was incredibly rude and treated me as if the hotel did not need or appreciate my business.
DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL. Weve stayed here more than once and each time the billing was over charged! Had to call to get it corrected, and still they have not correct the billing. The staff could be a little nicer here, and the cleanliness of the hotel rooms could be better. We have stayed at many Marriott Properties around the United States. The Westin Pasadena is conveniently located near Old Town Pasadena and has great views of the city if you get a top floor.Overall we were happy with our stay, would totally recommend the restaurant...the staff there are quick, super friendly, and dont hesitate to accommodate you.
Centrally located to the restaurants, city hall, shops, and freeways. This location is beautiful and well maintained grounds. Valet parking is $22/day, or self park and walk for $17/day. There are no in and outs. Once you drive off you have to pay the fee again. The issue I had was I booked several rooms for our wedding on a Saturday check-in. When we checked out of one room they checked us out of all of the rooms. So, we were in our room half naked and another guest walked in. I screamed and asked how he got into the room! He said with the key. We told him we were in the room until Monday, and this happened on Sunday. The gentleman left upset and we called the front desk and went downstairsto speak to someone. The front desk needs to make sure they do not double book a room and do not check out all rooms when someone checks out of one. Note: there are no microwaves in the room. You can dine in the Veranda restaurant onsite for breakfast and wifi is not free.
After having stayed downtown the previous 3 nights and being disappointed in the accommodations, the Westin Pasadena was a pleasant upgrade with an average size room that was bright, cheerful and updated. Bed wasn’t overly comfortable but staff was amazingly friendly and very accommodating. Love the lack of smell and smoking that usually accompany hotels. The gym was great, pool was refreshing though the top portion needs to be power washed. The views from the pool deck are beautiful. Walking distance to food, laundromat and Target. Very relaxed area compared to Glendale which was much more touristy. Requested and provided a late check out that I ultimately didn’t need but appreciated the provision. Worth the stay.
Positive: Staff are very good. Building is new, solid and well-designed. West-facing rooms are quiet and do not overlook traffic. Decor is very nice. A lot of extras in the room - lighting, storage. Beds are excellent and sheets high quality. Negative: Noise. Maids are slam the doors and are loud in the halls. This is a problem if you are trying to work from your room or nap before 6 p.m. As with many hotels you can hear other guests in the next rooms - but most of the guests are well-behaved.
Positive: Front desk and parking staff are the best. Very good and welcoming. Bed is comfortable and sheets are crisp. Hotel is newer and baths are renovated. Garage appears to be secure and patrolled with a security presence. Excellent location in Old Pasadena. Negative: Housekeeping. Knocking on doors at 7:30! They ignored my do not disturb sign 3 times before 11. They are very loud, chatting, yelling, banging and dropping things. Doors slam shut and they should know better to close them quietly. Crumbs not vacuumed.
Apparently they can’t get employees. There was a distinct lack of staff. The grab and go was closed as were the shops. No bellman. Difficulty checking in, couldn’t find my reservation. When I got to my room, the keys didn’t work and I had to go back to have them reset. Very inconvenient considering it was extremely late at night.Room was fine, bed was great, no microwave. Room showing signs of aging, place needs an update.I’ve always loved this particular hotel but it needs attention to stay current and they really need to do something about staffing.
The Westin was central enough in Pasadena to accommodate my wife & I for a family wedding (not in the hotel). The room was spacious, clean & extremely quiet ... We didnt hear any other occupants at the hotel, but there was convention goers & a wedding. The restaurant was quick & accommodating (my family, aunt, uncle & cousins would sit there for an hour after finishing our food). The front desk was always quick to offer a bottle of water. Overall, I pleasant stay.
Positive: The pool area, private seating. Conveniently located on same floor. Lovely experience Check-In gentleman that helped was accommodating and quick!:) with early Check-In able to attend bus. Meeting and had afternoon for fun with kids at pool:) Negative: Pool not heated, would have expected heated pool no spa:(. Toiletries were rationed out, in king room only one set of toiletries was in bathroom. Front desk women were rude.
Positive: Rooms are very well appointed. Beds are extremely comfortable. Staff are excellent. Security in the parking area and the parking staff are helpful. Hotel is newer in good condition. Negative: Slamming doors and noise travels easily. Housekkepy could be quieter.
Positive: Location (in relation to a business appointment I had the next day). Quality in terms of comfort AND safety in arriving late in the evening to check in, both for me personally and my car. Always appreciate having a frig in room. Negative: Just fyi to potential customers that theres no bellman assistance staff due to covid.
Travelers beware, never use the hotel valet parking! They forgot to lock my Tesla doors and all valuables inside the car was stolen. When I tried to file a claim the parking management simply refuse to do anything! ABM parking is a very bad business, stay away from them at all costs!
I spent four days at the Westin Pasadena and when I checked out, I forgot my $125 Pendleton wool shirt in the closet. I called the very next morning and the hotel said that they could not find it. So, either someone entered the room, found the shirt in the closet, and took it; or, someone on the hotel staff stole it. My sense is that someone on the staff stole it. Be careful staying at this hotel!
The service here at the front desk was really nice and went out of their way to help with any requests. The rooms were clean and relatively modern. I try to only stay at hotels with glass showers anymore and this hotel delivered. We ate breakfast every morning on-site and enjoyed the outdoor seating the best. Will definitely stay again if I’m in the area.
Positive: Nice bed and clean room and hotel Negative: The restaurant staff and food wasn¿t very good unfortunately. We had to wait along time for service and there wasn¿t many people eating there. The food was very expensive for what you actually got. The hamburger was $21.00 and it was very small
I had a wonderful time. The hotel is a little pricey but the man in the front desk made it all worth it. He took care of me and gave me late check out and all the amenities to keep me comfortable. He informed me I was eligible for a room upgrade and I am very grateful for him. He is the reason I’m coming back
I booked a room for my husbands big 50th. I made mention of it, but didnt even get a happy birthday from the staff. I inquired about a good room and they said we had the best, but the one we got looked onto a parking garage and the windows were filthy. As a Marriott member, I had expected a little more.
Above you have both Optional and Required!!!!It was all slow, food service and maintenance fix request. But the valet was quick to retrieve my car each time. The beds are too high esp. for disabled travelers. In the ADA rooms as you call them, have res. clerk on phone ask about bed height needed. Best was to remove one mattress, change height to about 22. Not 30!
Positive: The lobby was very classy and room was clean. Everything else wasn¿t so great. Negative: There was very little amenities considering it was a ¿4star hotel.¿ Many other lower rated hotels have offered much much more. The front desk was also very rude. Didnt give us much information on the hotel. Didn¿t even tell us our room number and
It does not get worse than Katrina the overnight staff at the Westin! Arrived at 4AM from a long six hour flight to be rudely informed I need to wait an additional hour in the lobby for my room to be available even though we noted we were arriving late. As I’m asking for a explanationShe replies with “I’m done talking to you” and walks away…Great first impression!
An excellent hotel with excellent facilities. Modern rooms with great views depending on which floor you are on. Rooms are clean , spotless and well decorated. It has a large gym and a swimming pool on the 4th floor. Nice but not complementary breakfast and will set you back another $20 depending on what you get if you decide to breakfast in. The parking is not free and for a multiple reentry ( in and out) parking it costs an additional $22 per day.
Generally when you book a reservation, youd expect to get what was listed. Drove over 5 hours to get here for a getaway with my significant other. I initially reserved a king bed room. We were told there were none available when we checked in. They offered us a 2 queen bed option instead and I accepted. After getting into the room, I noticed they werent queen beds but actually full beds which are significantly smaller. The bed barely fit 2 people comfortably. Totally unacceptable business practices. Youd think you would have at least offered me a discount or waive the ridiculous parking fee. Would never recommend or stay at this hotel again. If you dont have specific rooms available, dont list them as available on your website reservations.
Had to be in Pasadena for a day for work and did not what to battle traffic so booked a room at Westin. Check in was fast and easy and the lady at front desk was welcoming and informative. When I got to my room, it was perfect. Can tell they pay attention to detail when cleaning. The bed was so comfortable and made it easy to sleep. Couldn’t hear a sound from the street. It was paradise and I will definitely return.
If you’re looking for an upscale hotel with all the modern luxuries without being pricey, this is the spot. The Westin Pasadena is clean, comfortable and is conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. The open seating areas in the lobby and the outdoor courtyard make for a great breakaway in the evenings. It’s also quieter than most hotels in terms of noise level. I’ll definitely stay here again for another vacation trip.

Great room w a view, super service, fantastic location. I was able to unwind, take great walks, enjoy the beauty of Pasadena. After a few days back home, Im ready to get back there for another jaunt! The only negative was that I was unable to spend more time in my room with that amazing balcony that gave me an unbelievable view of dawn as the sun came up over the mountains!
Our cousin who lives in Pasadena recommended this hotel to us because of the location. It was a beautiful hotel with fountains outside and beautiful artwork on the walls. The room was spacious and had plenty of space us to unpack. The location was perfect. We walked to Old Town to have dinner and enjoy the evening. The gentleman working valet suggested we walk through City Hall instead of the route we had mapped on our phone. It was a beautiful walk and we saw several bridal parties and college graduates taking pictures there. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Pasadena, and we will definitely stay again next time we visit.
Toilets in both rooms had mold rings. chrome shower heads also filthy. called housekeeping but mold never fully removed... gross! location was nice. restaurant male host was not friendly at all and seemed overwhelmed for not being busy. currently, LA requires masks indoors. however, some hotel guests not wearing masks and hotel not enforcing law. i asked front desk why they didnt make them wear masks and they just shrugged shoulders... not good !
The Westin is positioned in a beautiful spot of Pasadena. You can easily walk to any bar or restaurant from this hotel. I found the staff very friendly and always willing to share a hand. The superior king is a little tight but well stoked and had a nice refrigerator that was wonderful. I can say the restaurant garden was so peaceful I could have spent the day there.
Hotel was nicely situated, quiet, and clean. However, the room and bathroom was outdated. The shower spout looked like it was rigged together, and had a cheap motel look. It was definitely not to the Marriott standard I’m used to. Also, the AC in the room wasn’t working properly. They sent maintenance who changed the battery on the thermostat, cleaned the unit, replaced the filter, and charged it. After he was done, the thermostat was actually reading hotter than when he started. They never bothered to follow up, and seemed apprehensive to reassign me a room in an otherwise empty hotel. Food on site was hardly an option.
Front desk staff was testy…..not helpful, not friendly but we survived. Got to our room, old cocktail glasses outside the door which were never removed in 3 days. Room never serviced during our stay, may be because we were traveling with service dogs, but they could have inquired about cleaning and didn’t. I had the worst breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which was a shame because it was nice sitting outside. The terrace is wonderful so I had high hopes. Good location, comfortable bed, great valet team for easy in and out of the hotel.
Front desk staff was very kind and attentive. Room was great, as were the housekeeping staff. The only frustrations were that the ice machines on nearly every floor were either broken or missing (plus no map or signs telling where they were located), the restaurant/bar is closed after breakfast and reopens at dinner (so, no lunch or beverage service). We went to the pool, only to discover no services there, tried to get drinks at the restaurant to bring to the pool, but it was closed, then tried to get ice and bring our own beverages, but no working ice makers could be found. The Front Desk was kind enough to go all the way to the closed restaurant to get us ice and a bucket, then provided water and soda for us!Wed definitely stay here again, but will be more aware of the small issues.
We were looking forward to a relaxing couple of days for our first time away in ages, but were disappointed with the quality of the bed (barely made, inside out sheets, lumpy pillows that didnt fit the cases) and the state of the bathroom (sink and shower sprayed everywhere, very little counter space, broken tub faucet, no fan so super muggy). The staff was lovely and the room didnt feel dirty, but it also didnt feel relaxing and we didnt want to spend any time in our room. It didnt meet our expectations for a 4-star stay.
There were many issues with my recent stay at the Westin Pasadena. First and foremost I booked a cabana online for 4-530pm and at 3pm was informed that upon reserving, the cabana is mine all day. From open till close. Had I been informed of that sooner I would have been there by 10am. So essentially I lost at least 8 hours of time by the pool. Also, upon arriving at my cabana there were people in it. I had to call the front desk who had to come and ask the other guests to leave. There were no reserved signs anywhere until around 530pm when an employee came and placed them. Also, online the pool is promoted as “outdoor heated pool” and the pool was not heated at all. It was absolutely cold and not enjoyable in the slightest. Lastly, the morning of check out an absolutely putrid smell was coming from the bathroom plumbing. Either from the sink or tub. We had to wear a mask just to go in there and brush our hair. Thank goodness we were checking out. Being local to the area I was really hoping to just have a nice stay away from home to swim and relax and unfortunately I didn’t get it this time. My stay as a whole was unfortunate.
My expectations where high for this Hotel, name is well respected. Staff super professional from check in to restaurant and valet. Issues I had are more cosmetics. I like to see what I’m paying for. When I enter the room it had a unpleasant smell. The restroom had minor issues. The toilet seat cover can’t go way up because the ledge it’s has. The shower door was very loose and a piece that holds shower door was just hanging. The blinds where a little hard to open. The mattress seems like it needs to be replace it was uncomfortable. Over all the room was very quiet I couldn’t hear the traffic! That was a plus. The best part is that people are very pleasant at the hotel!
Our room was large. The views were wonderful. The coffee in the room actually tasted good. The shower was large and had a rain head. Our dog was welcome for a fee. The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants. My only complaints were the restaurant still wasn’t open and no room service, and the cost of parking was outrageous. $22 a night!
I want to start of by thanking Adriana the sales coordinator for helping me with my room and wedding block for my guest. Also Melissa for giving us a tour of the suites to make sure we were happy with the room we would want to select. Overall great service from all employees who I came in contact with, my wife and myself were very happy with our stay! Great hotel selection for our wedding weekend!
Nice location, lobby clean but so sad that we stayed there two nights and did not get the room cleaned once. Paid full price due to Pandemic over $200 per night. It was hot and muggy while we toured multiple colleges in Los Angeles for my daughter to attend. We got back at 9:30 PM and the room was not touched. No towels no bedding nothing cleaned or restocked. This did not ruin our trip but really put a damper on what could have been our first vacation after the Covid lockdown.Font desk was responsive when we needed clean towels that night and said the manager would contact us. No contact was made. We had to visit other colleges in San Diego and Santa Anna and did not have this type of issue at a 4-star Hotel, not a motel. If this was a one-off event why was the room skipped two times?Brian
Customer service at check in was so great! She was friendly and informative. We visited Pasadena for my husbands birthday, and she upgraded us to the executive level so we were on the top floor, and she offered us complimentary late check out without us asking. Hotel was clean, and every one was very friendly! Thank you for making our occasion extra special, and making us feel important. Will definitely return and recommend.
Needed a nice place for me and my wife to get away for an extended weekend. I worked from the hotel room for a couple of days and it gave a great sense of relief to be away from home. The location is excellent, close to the restaurants, and far enough away that youre not directly above loud bars. City hall just around the corner looks beautiful on a sunset walk, and the hotel is pet friendly. The staff are great, and very personable, and if you want some food from LA its a short drive. For those in the riverside san bernardino area, its an excellent escape, but you also get charged tourism fee, just like any california hotel...
Great time. The girl at the bar can be a bit abrasive but we managed to calm her down with humor and laughter......and tips!!!I specifically wrote down Adrianas name on my white board to make sure she was recognized.....hope that happens. Read previous review if you are confused.
Positive: the Front Desk, was the pivotal staff member who transformed my last stay rating of 2-stars to my current stay star rating of 4-stars, proving how important a helpful employee in Customer Service can make a difference! Negative: 4-star hotels in other locations have found a way to launder guest robes during the pandemic. Not continuing to offer guest robes, even in luxury suites, is a major failure in the current star rating of the hotel. Water spots on chrome shower surfaces.
No trash, laundry, or ice bags, upon arrival, a house keeper just opened our door and came inside without knocking. Towels were not replaced after the first cleaning, and trash was not taken out. (We had our own bag) Also, having to pay for WiFi in the room for $12 daily, and $22 daily for the valet is a bit of a rip off. The older valet, had an attitude our entire stay, he never greeted us, never approached us when we pulled in, never opened a single door, he closed the doors when bringing us our car, and even after handing him the keys, never said a word.
This property was clean and kept up well but not up to Westin standards of making me feel welcome and appreciated. Excellent location - easy safe walk to shopping and dining. Very limited dining menu and no room service (maybe a result of COVID but other local properties aren’t so constrained).
Positive: I like the location. Negative: Staff was very rude and unprofessional. TV did not work and instead of offering another room, engineers were in my room for over an hour trying to fix and replace the TV. Room wasnt fully clean and I wished I did not stay there.
The room was fine. Location great. Cleanliness was more than good. In the bathroom the toilet was underneath a shelf!! If you sat down the seat would be against your back the entire time. You couldn’t urinate standing because the seat would fall. I have never seen such a ridiculous construction error in a hotel of this class. It is enough to never stay here again. I really do not believe a Westin/Marriot property would allow this and still charge.
The location of the Westin Pasadena was perfect for our recent business trip. The food and amenities were good, however the interior décor and design of the hotel is a bit tired and in need of an update. Except for the lobby and the beautiful fresh floral arrangements that made a welcoming first impression. The rooms unfortunately felt small and very dark, but were well laid out and the beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping did a good job of cleaning the room and restocking any toiletries. The valet parking attendants were very efficient and with the exception of one day, our vehicle was provided on a timely basis. The staff were friendly and helpful and our overall experience was very pleasant. I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend to other travelers.
Customer service could have been more customer-oriented by answering questions about parking honestly and looking out for the customer. Upon arrival with two vehicles (one of which needed a 9’ clearance and we were told we would have to drive around the hanging sign in the garage in order to park), we were told hotel guests could park in the garage for $17/night per car. We asked the valet attendant about any other cheaper parking options around the hotel, for example what’s that huge lot right next to the hotel? She said didn’t know (yeah right I’m sure we haven’t been the first to ask in her time working there). So we decided to drive around and look for other parking. We found some street parking right on the other side of the hotel that seemed like we could park there free overnight (and it was Sunday and it seemed free on Sundays) and called the hotel to verify that we could park there. The guy answered and said multiple times we could park in the garage but skirted around our questions about free street parking. He even said street parking required a permit to try to get us to give up and pay the hotel parking garage fee. After asking several specific questions (like if the sign does not say a permit is required, is it still required?) he finally relented and said it should be fine to park there. Both employees were not thinking of the customer and tried to get us to think the only options were paid partaking garage or spaces that required a parking permit from the city. The hotel floor and room also smelled like weed. It gets 3 stars for having a clean room and waters in the refrigerator.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel itself, staff, parking overall was very nice and extremely clean. Only thing is the elevators were not working so we had to use the elevators for staff and also the carpet in the room was lifted and torn where the tile meets the carpet. Other than that everything was extremely fine.
The property seems to be back to almost full service. Room service and gift shop were not open. Restaurant for breakfast was open with pre-packaged items and limited choice entrees. They were also open after 5pm daily. Gym and pool were not available due to COVID restrictions currently in place. Again, great friendly people inside as well as valet/grounds personnel.
Hotel location and room is great 👍 . How ever you can NOT trust stuff I check in Tuesday 10/5 room 430 and check out 10/06 only one night left my red short in closet. I am %100 percent for sure left it there i call back they told me nothing left in room. I am totally shock!!! I cant believed this happen in Westin.!!!
I was apprehensive about traveling and staying in a hotel for the first time since COVID began. I was grateful for the steps that the staff took - from masks to regular cleaning of public spaces. I request no access to my room and they easily arranged it. I felt very secure there.
Weve been at this Hotel for 4 nights, going into our 5th. The room TV is so outdated, limited on demand, no smart TV so we cannot cast to the TV, so with no on demand to rent movies we cannot use Netflix, Amazon, Google TV, etc.we are stuck with local channels or very basic cable, we noticed one SHOWTIME channel only. The hotel could use a refreshing. They serve not food and there is no comesary to buy snacks, toiletries. Etc. Its a nice location but the hotel comes up short in several areas.1. Outdated and missing tech in the TVS2. Bed pillows are old and wore out3. No resturant or food, accept 1-2 days per week4. Slow drain sinks and we have two rooms this trip5. No comesary or amenities
Hotel was great! Check in was quick and easy. The young man gave us a great overview of the property. Valet was great as well. Hotel itself was beautiful and in a great location!! We had to check out a day early unfortunately but they had no problem accommodating us. All staff was top notch. Can’t wait to come back! :)
Nice hotel in a great location. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The room I stayed in was clean, nicely laid out with a spacious work area that has convenient outlets. The bar restaurant had reasonably pre-prepared food options. Smart move in today’s market where everyone is short staffed (COVID). I will stay here again
Stay was very poor never got the room clean in the whole two days that we stayed there never got any fresh clean towels the sheets were very dirty and dingy service was not all that great they lost their parking ticket we had to go through drama in order for them to find the car so this hotel is a complete mess and chaos
I booked an Executive Banquette room and received a different room when checked in. Had to complain to the front desk that I didn’t get the room I booked online. At first they weren’t going to adjust the rate and I had to beg for them to change the rate.I felt that during COVID when the hotel was empty, they were appreciative of me being there and made me feel welcomed. Now that people are out and about, I was a number and they didn’t care about keeping me as a customer.
The hotel was very beautiful!! The rooms were super clean, and staff was super super friendly even though we are in this pandemic! We were in town for a couple days and the stay was very pleasant!! The elevator situation is a bit weird to most bc its the workers elevators, but it still gets you to were you need to go!!! Had food delivered to the hotel with no problems either! Definitely recommend staying here if youre in the area!! Thanks
The check-in experience was not good. We had to bring the manager in to get our issue resolved. We called about an hour before arriving and were told that a room was available for early check-in. We had checked in the night before using our Bonvoy app. The person at the check-in counter said they had no rooms available and that we would have to wait until 3 pm, the regular check-in time. I explained what we were told over the phone and all she could come back with was Im sorry our check-in time is 3 pm. I told her we were lifetime Platinum Elite members and she said she didnt have our number. I told her we had called the hotel a week earlier to make sure our number was in the file. In any case, we wasted about 20 very aggravating minutes with this person. I should have asked for the manager immediately.
We stayed three nights at the Westin in downtown Pasadena. While the hotel was well located, our sleep suffered due to a terribly uncomfortable mattress. The second difficultly was operating the windows. A chair and second set of hands was required. The furniture and TV were located directly in front of the view window. Climbing on chairs to close the latches was necessary because of poor furniture placement. I would not recommend staying.
At check in I was told by the hotel staff that I would be about to have a 1pm check the next day. Day of my check out comes I call in the morning again to confirm my late checkout for 1pm. The staff tells me nothing was noted from the previous staff member. I say ok thats fine as long as I still have my 1pm check out. I left in the morning to get breakfast when I returned to my room it has been cleaned and some of my items had been thrown out as well. The room was made as if I had already checked out. I’m very disappointed especially for this being such a reputable establishment or so I thought. Spoke to several different staff members who pretty much stated there was nothing they could do. Very upsetting
The hotel was beautiful, great location. The room was another story, we had what appeared to be dry blood on the ceiling, headboard etc.... when we brought it to management’s attention the manager on site was unapologetic and didn’t seem to care at all. Pictures are not the best but you get the idea. Hotel rooms are always questionable but won’t stay here again.
Very nice hotel that includes an extremely overpriced restaurant, valet service, and daily parking. There was a refrigerator and coffee maker with complimentary coffee, but no microwave in the room we stayed. The staff are all Awesome and understanding ❣️ The closest food store is an AM/PM across the street which is Very convenient. And theres a $5.00 a day parking lot around the corner on the next street over, in case you cant afford the $24.00 a day parking in The Westin garage. The price for the room is Very reasonable, only $128.00 and the beds are SO Comfortable!
Not so happy with this hotel. Location is good and the price is not bad. Rooms are small but relatively clean and the checkin was ok.Free WiFi is limited and you are encouraged to pay an extra $12 a day for a decent speed-why?Parking is extra and a nightmare to self park. Just about all the slots are compact except the valet area which is big and empty, and of course closer to the hotel entrance. You also have to pay extra for using your car during the day, why?My last beef is on the dining menu. Their web site clearly states the on-site restaurant is open and has a full menu. This was one of the reasons we booked the hotel. In practice, there is a restricted menu of 4 or 5 items and these are only available in a plastic takeout box. This has nothing to do with COVID restrictions, if there are no decent food options available at the hotel because of the virus, then state just that. Much better than cheating your customers into thinking something different. Our bathroom also has the lovely aroma of someone smoking weed elsewhere in the hotel. Great! Not happy.
Great location to shops and several eateries. Staff is pleasant!! Hotel clean and dog friendly.Hotel was not at hotel capacity but there were more than enough guests for only 1 operating elevator bank on Saturday. They finally switched the 2nd but ar the end of the day, the wait was long and some forgot to social distance.
We found a bed bug in our room and took the bed bug to the front desk. They kept denying it was a bed bug and told us to change rooms immediately. So we packed up our stuff and waited for a new room. They told us someone would come to our room right away with our new key but it took about 45 minutes.
My room was not as clean as I expected. There was scum on the bathroom county as well as in the shower. The cabinets in the bathroom were peeling away at the corners. The staff was short and did not listen to my request. I would not recommend this hotel at this time. Maybe in the future after they get better management.
Hotel doesnt seem to be adapting to COVID times. The location is great though - lots of great shopping and eating closeby. The decor on the inside was nice, though the rooms not as comfortable. You have to pay to self park (or valet park) in the nearby lot.We arrived late at night (midnightish) and discovered the night manager was absent (the valet was trying to be helpful and trying to locate him). Another guest was also waiting. Almost an hour later the night manager shows up (almost sleepy), checks us in and gives us the wrong room number. Had to go back, find him and get the right number. Overall service was sub par.
The services are so reduced it is a joke. I understand that COVID has required changes, but this hotel uses it as an excuse to be cheap. There is no room service. You can’t even order food from the room phone. You must go to the restaurant, order, wait and then take the food upstairs. The single waiter/order taker/busboy/bartender is so overworked that you wait for everything. In our 4-night stay we ended up just ordering from DoorDash and Postmates. At least those are Apps and they deliver right to your room. The hotel was very clean, there was daily maid service and the entire staff was friendly though all areas were understaffed.
Very disappointment with Westin Pasadena. Poor service, not much amenities. Messed up with billing.Ended up move to Residence Inn, 5 minutes away from the Westin. Staying at Residence Inn for 8 days, the same price with Westin but so much better room, services and amenities.
To start we had to change rooms a few times for wrong accommodations and foul pet odor lingering in the rooms. The pillows were flat and had no fluff to them, in the room we final got into you weren’t able to change the thermostat to get a comfortable temp to be able to rest comfortably, especially with my two younger children. The following morning we asked for house keeping and other hygiene products... we never received them. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, this was a HORRIBLE stay. Yajaira the “manager” will dismiss you regardless of the experience you went through. Never again!
The hotel was clean and well kept, though the building is dated. The staff were very accomodating and polite, but it was very hard to get a hold of them (was put on hold for 15+ mins by front desk). The main elevators were out of service for our entire stay so we had to use the service elevators which often had a long wait, and was only accessible through a cramped passage making it impossible to socially distance.
This hotel continues to impress. All staff are very professional, helpful, and caring. The hotel is designed with a clean crisp and modern atmosphere with a comfortable feeling. All rooms are designed well and love the Heavenly bathrooms. Great fitness center and outdoor pool & spa. Only wish they would reopen the sauna/steam room! Valet parking makes a lot more sense then the self-parking (no in/out privileges) and is only a few $ more than self parking. Staff at Ventanas restaurant are amazing.
Stayed here for my cousins wedding the was at The Noor Event Center. This location is central to everywhere, close to food, shopping and freeways. The hotel is gorgeous, valet staff was very friendly, I checked in at midnight June 5th and the front desk agent was very helpful with the COVID policies, he was informed us of the amenities in the hotel, we came from Denver and the restrictions over there are different.
Very comfortable, modern hotel. Pleasant dining room serves tasty, affordable comfort fare. Friendly staff remember you as you return each day. Nice gym. Spacious rooms, some with good refrigerators to store your provisions. Rooms well equipped with regular and USB electrical outlets located throughout the room.
Needed a good night sleep as I had an early start. The only ask I had was a quiet room. Unfortunately I was out next to a noisy family with little kids who basically were so loud that I had to turn on my tv NOT to hear them - of course being able to sleep early as planned was out of question!
Great stay beautiful clean rooms. Parking attendants were extremely friendly definitely worth the $21.. We were in and out several times each day and they were always happy to retrieve our car. Great price for the value compared to other local hotels in the area. Would definitely stay here again.
I gave this hotel 2 stars because I know the potential the property has and is currently well beneath. I have lived in Pasadena all my life and have seen this property change over the years. It has always been one of the more upscale places and recently well Im just not sure what happened. From the incredibly rude front desk clerk with the dry sense of humor ( or is it an attempt at sarcasm) to the sole elevators that are in operation being the see ice elevators leaving you stepping off into a run down industrial space on each floor to the loud hotel guests that seem to frequent this hotel nightly, this hotel has really fallen from the grace and upscale poise it once held. Long gone are the pricey reservations for privileged participants of the Breeders Cup. Wonder what AAA rating they will get this year? Where did the spa go? Is it all to blame on Covid? Well that remains to be seen as my calls to the hotel to inquire have all gone unanswered.
The ac in our room took a very long time to cool down the room. You do have to walk a lot and pay for parking $15 on top of $50 indicental deposit. Place felt decently safe, every now and then you hear loud people through the halls but pretty normal for hotels anyways. The check in lady in the evening promised us we would have complimentary breakfast, which was false the very next morning by the South American lady in the breakfast bar with an attitude and there was no one at front desk for check out, but due to COVID-19 I didn’t mind leaving the keys on express check out. Sure it was nice for the price we got it but this place is a 2.5 to 3 star at best.
This hotel was everything we needed and more. We expected the best from a Westin Hotel, but their staff and amenities were exceptional. Their grounds were beautiful and location was convenient to sites, shopping and activities. We were there for 5 days and 4 nights and were greeted daily by the most friendly team of people from the initial meeting at the door and during every encounter throughout the hotel experience. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay.
We had an excellent two nights at the Westin Pasadena. We where in town for the Amgen Tour of California. Service was top-notch by everyone we interacted with from the parking valet to the restaurant staff. The room was quiet with upscale fixtures, very clean and all in working order. Our large room had a small balcony and faced the City Hall building, very comfortable bed and wonderful rain shower. It is seldom that I have no complaints about a hotel. For us it was only comparable to luxury cruses we have taken and a our stay in Istanbul at the Pera Palace Hotel some years ago.
I worked so close to the Westin Pasadena that I drove by it almost every day--I was always tempted to stay there. I finally had the opportunity to attend a two-day training session there. I was just delighted with my stay. The hotels public areas are spacious and elegant; the meeting areas are nice; and the rooms are just great. The food (breakfast and lunch) provided by the catering department was outstanding: there was a wide variety of choices and the quality was amazing. I loved my stay at the Westin and Im planning on another visit--just for fun this time!
I think you guys should post that there is construction or whatever is going on and there is only one elevator. Lines were so long to get in and sometimes out each day. Also the parking was not pleasant. You have to get out in the heat and walk up the street to make it to the front. Getting out if the parking garage was hell. I was told I would pay the end of my stay, but i was not given a pass to go in and out. Customer service was not great and not on the same page. AC needs to be looked at. Our room was hot. It smelled like Marijuana so much that our room smelled like it. Picked this hotel because on Hotels.com it had 4 starts. It definitely didnt feel like a 4 star hotel.
There were Covid restrictions posted requiring guests to register to use the gym and the pool. This is in place to limit the amount of people at the gym and the pool. Guests did not abide by this nor did the hotel enforce it. We even called when we were at the gym because there were 10 people already. The max was 4 people at a time and we reserved 4 spots. We called and the hotel said they were sending someone to enforce the policy. We waited 30 minutes and nobody came. So we checked out.
We will definitely be back! This Westin is gorgeous, and the staff is amazing. Ming at the front desk is one-of-a-kind; an exceptional person in the field of hospitality. He made us feel SO special for our one night getaway as a couple. The comfort and amenities are wonderful at this hotel. The beds are heavenly, shower modern and clean, fresh robes in the closets and a great coffee bar in the room. The hotel heated pool and jacuzzi and glorious gym with floor to ceiling windows make for a wonderful and healthy, relaxing stay. The restaurant serves an excellent build-your-own omelet, and features fresh squeezed orange juice. The area surrounding the Westin Pasadena includes the BEST walking tour access to many of the icons of this beautiful city. The Historic City Hall structure, beautiful All Saints Church, Vromans bookstore and the Pasadena Playhouse are all nearby.
There were many unmasked guests in the common areas of the hotel - including the lobby, elevators, and hallways. The hotel staff seemed to ignore it, even when guests were checking in at the desk. Very disappointing. Also, our bed cover was stained and the shower faucet was in need of repair.
Self parking here was somewhat of a pain $22, valet offered at $22 . I had two rooms for me and my party . Accommodations were made so we were next to each other , the lady over the phone was extremely helpful ! The vibes here were amazing .The rooms even better than photographed .
I enjoyed this hotel. Location great for walking to old town Pasadena. They have a shuttle which can take you within a 3 mile radius. The bed & pillows comfy, the shower was really nice. I was very happy. The breakfast was good, and the staff in the restaurant and bar were good. The indoor, outdoor bar is very nice. The only issue we had was we noticed the duvet on the bed with a bit tattered; and the robe in the closet had some kind of stain or smudge on it so we did not touch it or use it.
We had a wonderful stay at the Westin Pasadena! First of all, the location is in the heart of the city. So you drop your car and walk everywhere (museum, parks, restaurants, shopping mall). Then the decoration is very delicate and everything is clean. Rooms are spacious. I had a beautiful view of the City Hall which is an emblema here. Gorgeous. But the best of all are the staff members. I never had some quality of hospitality. I rarely come back to the same hotel but next time Ill visit Pasadena; I wont look anywhere else and visit again the Westin.
Barking and fighting dogs in the eating area of the on-site restaurant. Dog hair in our hotel room. One washcloth in the hotel room. No concierge. I felt bad for the wedding party getting dog hair on their tuxs, there were 4 dogs in the lobby as we left on Saturday morning. The list goes on. Not impressed by any means.
Our room was fine, but average or below for Westin. I called the hotel and Miguel answed, he was curt and unhelpful. I think he hates his job and should not be it a customer service role. When I arrived I spoke with Gabriel who was very friendly so it balanced the experience to average. I spend on average 115 nights a year in hotels, and the human interaction here is poor. They act as though they are doing you a favor as opposed to understanding we have numerous choices in the area, and how each experience affects future choices.
Place reeks of urine and there is nothing to watch on their tvs as its very limited. All movies have to be paid for. NO NETFLIX or other streaming services what so ever. I recommend the Marriott or Hilton as those are definitely the better choices. First and last ever time Ill ever stay here.
I really appreciated the prompt, considerate service from the gentleman who checked me in who was very concerned that I had everything I needed as well as from the friendly, quick car valets. Even the cleaning lady I passed in the hall was very nice. The hotel, of course, has that amazing Westin-specific fragrance that I always notice immediately when I walk in and starts the relaxation. The rooms are quiet, the beds are super comfortable and the black out curtains keep the room dark really well. The gym was clean with up to date amenities and great views of the Pasadena mountains and palm trees which makes it feel like an oasis in the midst of the city. I always enjoy my stays at the Westin in Pasadena.
We stayed at the Westin Pasadena for our sons wedding. The facility was close to his wedding and rehearsal dinner venues. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. They have a shuttle that is available for pick up and drop-offs within a 3 mile range (although we didnt learn of this service until after the wedding). Our stay was very nice and I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Pasadena area.
Enjoyed my month long business stay thoroughly. The rooms are perfect for a single person. Bed is the best - could sleep on it for days!!Restaurant staff is fantastic and attentive. Great gym and pool area and very clean! Hotel is a great location - walking distance to Paseo Mall and tons of restaurants.Thank you for a great stay.
My car was damaged at valet and they would not take responsibility. They said they would remove charges and did not. I had to go through insurance and at a minimum they should pay the deductible but they won’t pay anything. Not onlynis this dishonest but I trusted them with my car. They should provide an option for self parking so customers are not forced to valet.Check in was not welcoming. I asked for a microwave due to my dietary needs and food I brought from home and had called in advance to ensure I got one and they still did not have one for me. I continued to ask and did get one the next day. It would have been good service to actually have one available since I called to ask. The person checking us in was not friendly. I told him I have a dog and can we get a room away from noise because she will bark if she’s near noise (elevator or close to elevator where lots of people walk by room) and he did not communicate with me. As a person traveling with a dog this is a concern and it would have been nice if he addressed my concerns. I’ve stayed at the Westin and Marriott many times in my life and been a loyal customer and am very disappointed by this stay.
The hotel hallways have dirty carpets and the bathrooms are dirty. The elevators seem to always need repair and are not working. The rooms are dated and old. The rooms smell vary stagnant and are never very clean. I found hair in the bathroom sink and in the bathtub. The gym equipment is sticky and needs to be cleaned regularly. The ac unit turns off when you are sleeping and the room gets hot. They use a motion sensor on the thermostat, so when there is no movement in the room, there’s to air flowing.
It saddens me that actions of two employees during my check-in experience prevents me from rating Westin Pasadena an Excellent Rating. There were employees that stood out as providing service excellence and they truly represented the hotel in a positive light. First Impressions live lasting impressions, right? Well, I can overcome the negative experience because of the many others that helped improved that impression. The rest of my stay was met with service with a smile and staff that exude hospitality concierge. This is why I would recommend staying at this hotel.
Overall, the space and room were just what we were looking for. Comfy bed and super clean space. The average rating is for the staff who didn’t appear well trained to serve people in the hotel. The front desk employees were great, as was house keeping. The bar and concierge were not great. You’ll sit on the patio for a long time and likely never be waited on for drinks. Even though there were up to three waiters bustling between the kitchen and bar with very few tables to serve. We had to go wait at the bar to order, and even that took a while. They just seemed inefficient and totally unfocused on people. The concierge was a nice guy, but he failed to offer any services when I needed help. The front desk stepped in to walk him through what the hotel offered so that I could find food. Room Service doesn’t pick up the phone. If they’re busy, don’t expect to have access to this service. You’ll need to request the shuttle to drop you off by some restaurants. I suggest anyone doing so to go straight to the front desk because the concierge won’t offer you this service when you ask for help. He couldn’t even name a few restaurants in the area. It was just odd.
This hotel is one that I consider a comfortable luxury style hotel. It offers most of the amenities that the high end hotels offer with a more relaxed atmosphere. The facilities are beautiful, the rooms comfortable, the food delicious and the staff polite and professional. This location is within walking distance of some very nice restaurants and stores. Parking is simple, just use their valet (which are very prompt) and traffic around the facility is very reasonable to navigate. I highly recommend this location due to its charm, polite employees and location...
Front desk and staff behavior is embarrassing during Covid. Read and educate yourselfs and update your polices to reflect the data and science, no irrational fear. Dont be so quick to add restrictions that are not based in reality. Be better and treat people with kindness.
I really enjoyed my recent stay at the Westin in Pasadena and think it was convenient to the old part of town and the area where the Rose Parade is held, if that is the reason for your trip. There is a lot to see and do near the hotel and the hotel itself is very welcoming from the moment you enter the lobby area. There is a raised, beautiful section where you can read, chat or wait for a friend and people-watch too! My room was clean and comfortable too! Great stay!
Front desk was very friendly. The lone restaurant and bar employee did a good job with everything she appeared to be responsible for. The room itself was very nice. Great view of the city. That was a good value.17 dollars after the validation for the privelige of parking my vehicle inside the building overnight and 18.00 for a glass of wine was excessive. I had the beef stroganoff in a carryout container and plastic fork due to covid. The food was terrible. Tough meat and bland. Small portions. The food and 2 glasses of wine (generous pours of mediocre pilot noir) came to $75 including tip. Terrible value. Again, the lone employee in the restaurant / bar performed well but could have performed better if she had help.

2022-02-11Had a wonderful stay here. My room (executive king with daybed) was up to date, clean, and comfortable. There was a great view, and a useful shade system to filter or block the sun. Room layout was spacious and convenient for work, and the bathroom had plenty of counter space. There’s a lovely courtyard where you can sit outside with a fire pit at night. There are also nice indoor common areas. 10-15 min walk from great restaurants and Old Pasadena. Will definitely stay again.

2022-04-30Stayed for a weekend, it was a decent experience.Had a couple rooms booked, so the connecting room was great. Beds comfortable, mini fridge was useful for storing stuff.Rooftop pool was alright.. not very deep and felt surrounded by concrete so not really much ambiance. That said, the kids had a great time cooling off and if you can snag one of the cabana style areas all the better. Gym was pretty nice here too.. a couple Peloton bikes too. 🚲I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here, but it was a decent stay.

2022-05-16We really enjoyed our stay. However, there were a couple of issues. The restroom has no exhaust fan, and the AC wont cool below 76 degrees. Even when the thermostat is set lower it clicks off well above the set temperature. The windows are also thin and you can hear people talking on the street even 8 floors up.That said, the staff was very friendly, the location beautiful, and the pool and gym were excellent.

2022-04-16Possibly the best service Ive ever had at a hotel. The rooms could be cleaner (dusty) and some paint was peeling/chipping but overall nice. The pool area has great views and the outdoor seating area at the restaurant is beautiful especially when the fires are all lit. The restaurant wasnt my favorite but there are plenty of other options nearby, and its a gorgeous walk through reflection pools and a sculpture filled garden to the Paseo, capitol building, convention center, and lots of mid to upscale shopping/dining.

2022-04-28I stayed at this hotel last weekend for my kids soccer camp. I was unsure about staying here because of the mixed reviews. Upon arrival late at night, I noticed the pull-out couch had a necklace and a bottle of water left on it. When entering the bathroom, the shower was not cleaned and the toilet had gummy stuff on it. This entire experience was really disturbing, and due to having kids and the lateness of the evening, I couldnt move rooms.By the way, the pull-out sofa was really uncomfortable. In the morning, they promised to clean the room when we left. They also took care of my valet parking. However, the manager was supposed to get my food bill corrected and she stated she would be calling me back. She never did. It has been three days.Besides the unfortunate circumstance, the room was nice with a view. The hotel was in an ideal location. Great pool and gym. Its a historic hotel with incredible architectural features. The cafe menu is limited with limited service. My husband tried to get another drink at the bar and left frustrated because there was only one person serving all of the guests. It looks like they are still struggling to recover from COVID staff shortages.

2022-04-20Beautiful with cool amenities! Family Room near lobby along with Board Room, nice gym and comfortable rooms. Convenient Pasadena location close to all the shops and restaurants. Restaurant has fast pick up no room service. Thank you Norman for your courteous service and for leaving out the brown sugar and dried fruit on top of my oatmeal!

2022-02-07Positive: The hotel was peaceful and the bed was so comfortable! The location allowed us to explore the area and the patio was absolutely stunning! Negative: I didn¿t like that the hotel maintenance was changing the door locks in the morning - the whole floor was getting their locks changed and it kind of threw me off. It got noisy.

2022-02-23Pretty average spot for a 4 star and I have never experienced a scheduled power outage for an hour at 1-2 am followed by fire alarm testing at like 7am for at least a solid 15 + min. I was so perturbed I didnt even complain whiles we where there. I called a day later and was told by the clerk the power was off for less than a min...an absolute lie. I would have had a more restful night at a Hampton...heck even a motel 6! I would never stay here again.

2022-04-12Easy access to the freeway. Updated rooms in an older hotel building. Some of the cabinets had squeaky hinges and the fridge was a bit noisy. They had an outdoor fire pit next to their bar/restaurant. No hot tub unfortunately but there was a pool and a decent work out room with equipment. The parking situation is kind of lame, its a paid parking garage. It can get a little annoying especially if your visit has you coming and going for business. Overall friendly staff.

2022-03-18A great property, centrally located in the heart of downtown Pasadena, close to the convention center. The room was spacious and well appointed, bed was super comfortable, and everything was extremely clean. From the valet staff, the front desk staff and the cleaning crew, everything from start to finish was excellent. Friendly and attentive service with attention to detail. Will stay here exclusively the next time I am in town.
