I came in here and gave the place 1 star 3 months ago after dealing with a rude woman who works there, she was dismissive to me and ignored my concerns about my package the only thing she seemed to care about was over charging me. I came back again a few weeks later and had great service from a nice young man who works there and he was my reason for trying to come back again, unfortunately I was met by a very rude newer girl who I’ve never seen before who seemed very uneducated on the job they’re paying her to do. Point is there’s only one good worker in this store and there’s lots of other ups stores around. I don’t recommend this one, I’ve also been to others with cheaper prices. Steer clear of this store
Lets be clear, you provide a service proximity to my home, that my family uses regularly. I refuse to acknowledge the pedestal fried ends girl thinks she is on, that reduces her customer service to a grunt when she sees me, instead of the usual and customary someone will be right with you. Everyone else is cool as a fan.
This is a review for the lady that waited for me to get to the store at 6:30pm. UPS for whatever reason couldn’t deliver my amazon package so they dropped it off here. I work in Antioch and literally left at 5pm and my gps kept saying i wasn’t gonna get there until past 6:30pm. I called twice and the lady working said she would wait for and she did. Thank you so much! I was scared i wouldn’t make it time but i appreciate your kind gesture and waiting for me to get there.
The customer service at this location is very impressive, and the female employee who helped me was professional every step of the way. I admit I was a bit leery because of some of the negative reviews, however I had a very positive experience and plan to use this location for all of my packaging needs. Thumbs up all the way. Thanks!
I came back to add comments as I only left stars the first time. I love this UPS store, but one day I had to return an elliptical and I was frustrated. HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STORE! There is no reason you shouldnt have a 5 Star. I shouldve eaten a snicker before voting..I wasnt being myself lolol.
Worst customer service Ive experienced from a UPS store. I came in to this location for the first time to bring in a textbook rental return to Amazon. I have done this handul of times at 4 other locations with no issue and friendly customer service. I already had the item in the original box packaged and return label printed out. I asked if he could maybe tape up the ends of the book box sleeves because I didnt want to worry about thr book maybe slipping out. He said sure and after doing so he told me he would be charging me a dollar for the two 4 inches pieces of packaging tape that he had placed on the top sleeve and bottom sleeve of the original box. I asked him $1 for 2 pieces of small tape? That is a little ridiculous, I have never been charged for a couple pieces of tape from any other UPS store before. He simply replies I dont care and remains to have an attitude with me telling me that he wants to charge me for putting the return label sleeve too. I asked him since when has that been in effective because I never had that charged for bringing in my own return label. He continues to have an attitude with me and tells me that I never asked you to come into this store when I tell him this is a bad experience and that I have never had this kind of experience with UPS. And of course he replied I am the manager when I asked if I could speak with a manager or if I could get contact info for the manger about my experience at this location.I highly advice people go to another location than this UPS store.
When I brought in items to be shipped, customer service was great! However, when items received was damaged and claim made (10/11/18) via 1-800 number was when the ugly starts. I called 10/11/18 to this location to follow up and unknown employee was very professional and told me he would follow up as soon as manager comes in at 10 a.m. There was no follow up. I then called today, 10/12, 2018, and employee Kay tries to give me the run around and ultimately hangs up when asked for the supervisor. I immediately call back and Todd, the supervisor, picks up on the second call and was helpful. After calling the 1 800 number again, claim will be updated on 10/15/2018. Ill be calling them again 10/15/2018. Well see if I get hunged up again, get the run arounds, or decent customer service.
Ive seen a lot of negative reviews about this store, but I think they are from the old management. Every time Ive been there the young woman that helps me has been incredibly nice and always goes the extra mile to make sure things are done the right way. So far, I have had a great experience there. Keep up the good work.
Paid $5 online to have my package shipped from warehouse to this location and this place charged me another $5 to pick up the item.. When trying to explain that I have not been informed of the extra pick-up fee, the lady at the front desk simply said This is how it is. Never coming back to this location again.
Perfectly fine for returning a device to my internet/cable service provider, or returning an item to Amazon in its original shipping box. I have done both more than once. These companies get steep discounts from UPS that we little guys could only dream of, so they make the experience smooth.However, I will go out of my way to avoid using this store, or any UPS store in the future for shipping a package to a private party.I came to the store in need of a box to fit an oddly sized item. I was willing to pay a premium for the box ($6 or 7), and a bundle of popcorn advertised for 6.99. Fine. I even brought tape. But the lady, clearly the co-owner with her husband, offered to handle the assembly for me. She took it to the back, filled the box with popcorn from a dispenser, and taped it without asking. Okay, whatever. Maybe there was a misunderstanding.So the quote for shipping was steep (around $85). I asked her if U.S.P.S. was cheaper. She quoted even higher- over $100! I said that if I went to USPS right now it would be that much? She and her husband both insisted it would be. I didnt believe them. I said Ill just pay for the box and popcorn. The bill was $20! She charged me $10 for the popcorn (instead of 6.99) and $2.99 for the handling. I was annoyed by the nickel and diming and the not being forthright about their fee for services before I committed to them (by having the box taken from me).I went to USPS and shipped for around $65, a price about $20 lower than their lowest price quote, and almost half what they CLAIMED USPS would charge me. Boy they must have thought I was one big sucker!So the feeling I was left with was that they were sneaky about their popcorn service fees and outright dishonest about their competitions pricing. Learning about a companys business ethics and how much they value the little guy was well worth getting nickeled and dimed an extra $6 or 7 bucks. Saved me a ton of money in the long run since I know better than to come back here for shipping my own items!Perhaps this review and the others will be a wake up call to the owners of the store that, even if youre polite, you still need to be up front and honest if you want customers to trust you. Or more likely is they make enough money off the big nameless faceless corporate customers, they dont feel the need to be honest, and make more by price gouging one-off customers. I personally dont believe that is a sustainable business model.
I stop in a few times a month to ship or return items as a catering company we buy miscellaneous items online all the time. Kay the young lady whom works there is always very polite and helpful and even has helped bring in items to just help out thats Customer Services.
Paid for small box to ship to NV (which would be cheaper at usps) and had to pay 2$ for using tape (free elsewhere). 2$ for tape, it is a f.... joke. Never shipping ups again.Edit: the problem is that the cost of the service is forced in this case. It’s as if I went to the bank and was charged for using a pen. And at any case, $2 for that service is a fair reason to be upset.
Very bad customer service!They charge 1$ for tapeing a Amazon box shut (1.5 feet tape required) and sticking a 4x6 lable to it. Additionally there is a dollar express next to them in the same parking lot where for 99 cent i bought a hole roll of tape. Very disappointing.In the future Id avoid this store is you can.
Rude. I went in for notary service. The woman kept talking over me saying what I want isnt done by any notary public even though I was showing her the previous one I had done that way. When she finally understood that she simply doesnt have the right stamp, she didnt apologize for raising her voice to me like I was a stupid child. I am never coming back here for anything. I actually walked back in just to tell her how rude she was. In almost 50 years on this Earth, I have never said that to anybody until today.
Returned an amazon package and got charged for packing which amazon clearly says no need for packaging or label. Also charged me extra for tape.Also called Amazon to verify if I needed any sort of packaging and the service department said it was all paid for. Stay away beware

2022-04-08So i went in one day to get shipping quotes on items i will be shipping. I knew the approx weight and dimensions so she looked it up and gave me approx cost. I asked if there was a threshold for weight where it really jumps up in cost and she told me that keep it at 49lbs or less for the best rates. Then i told her i guess the best thing is to ship in seperate boxes. She said yes and in between our conversations she was talking to an employee stating to him how they could pack my items etc.....I got what i came in for. About a week later i bring in 3 boxes with the items in the boxes and am ready for her to pack which ill pay for and packing material which ill pay for obviously etc......She then becomes irritated and callous toward me and says no we cant pack them but if i want to buy boxes from her and then ship it all in one box she could help me and the cost would be $120 more now all of a sudden than when she quoted me the week before and she new then i had my own boxes because i always save boxes in case i need them. She refused to help me now unless i bought her boxes and paid inflated prices and was rude. I took my shipments to another UPS store that had no problem taking my boxes and packing them and charging me for that and charging for packing material and then charging me to ship them for the reasonable price i was quoted at the first place. Its a lot easier to put all the small items in boxes to transport to the UPS store than trying to bring them in loose to use their boxes. Ive used various UPS stores over the last 20 years and never had a problem with using my boxes when it was practical and theirs when that was better and i was never GOUGHED as this lady tried to do after she said no problem on packing them using my boxes. The usual bait and switch which she never quoted up front but tried to later. Sad!

2022-02-27Annoyed by the inconsistent hours. One minute they are open onSundays, the next they arent. Or google says they are open, then you get there and they arent. Or they are open, but dont answer the phone to confirm when you call. I understand these are franchised, but corporate should set a standard of service and these sacramento locations are terrible. While I put the review here, yes, the other surrounding locations have a tendency to do the same thing at any given time. Just not reliable at all. Disappointment. The one is folsom doesnt act like that. I wonder why.

2021-12-21I arrived today to print some personal documents. I have been to this office many times for various reasons. However, I was extremely disappointed at the lack of discretion by a worker today. A woman behind the wall was clearly commenting on the contents of my personal documents. Privacy laws, HIPPA laws, and at the very least professionalism should be followed. Customers expect that the employees of this business will behave respectfully and protect our information and not openly discuss the contents of anyones personal information or make unnecessary comments.

2021-11-07I keep having major issues with that UPS/drivers, and couldnt care less, HOW they are paid - W-2 or 1099. I already filed a complaint with BBB, UPS Headquarters in Atlanta, GA - they are sooo off-the-chart retarded that it didnt make a slightest difference. I was inside my apt. since 9am today, Saturdays, waiting for Amazon delivery that never happened. No driver showed up at my apt., no phone calls, no anything. Should I repeat it again? I was at home, waiting for UPS delivery, since 9am. According to Amazon, my package #Shipped with UPSTracking ID: 1Z10A9570326216215was delivered already. Would it be lovely to find out...To Whom???

2021-07-30I have been to this store 5 times in the last month or two. I go early and have received excellent service. I had to ship awkward shapped and fragile items. They bend over backwards to help me. They are very busy and very efficient. It does cost a lot to buy boxes from them, extra to have them pack it securely for you, insure it for you, plus ship it for you .... I choose to pay extra to have them do it for me to assure everything would make it safely. (If you want to save money do it all yourself and go to the post office to have it shipped.)At this UPS Store I saw no one treated poorly or rudely. It is a busy place but I only observed (and received) excellent service.

2021-05-26The ups store is not the most enjoyable place to be at but Im glad this is the closest store to me. Same employee (Jeondre I believe his name is) has assisted me every time he is efficient helpful and professional yet personable. Other employees that have not assisted me have been friendly. Its a good atmosphere and the employees are reliable.

2021-02-02Staff are always rude there. There is a bad vibe anytime I have to go there. Its literally all of them. Its their workplace culture I guess. One time the lady got mad just because she had to put a tape on my box. Today, I had two boxes and when the guy removed one from scale, he literally yelled at me to put the other one on scale! First, its your job. Second, we have something called please that you can add to your sentences to be polite. Third, you always must be polite with people, especially if theyre your customers.
