I really wanted to like this place, but I just couldnt. Customer service is non-existent, and I heard one employee judging a customers plant selection when said customer asked for help, by saying in a pretty snarky tone eh this isnt MY favorite plant. Really? Are you trying to drive away customers? I give it two stars because I bought a cool pot there once but thats it. With better customer service and healthier looking plants, this place could shine, but I personally cant shop at a nursery where my choices are being judged.
This is the most quaint, magical garden center Ive ever been to. I discovered it only a few months ago, but since then Ive used every excuse to go back! Ive gotten into houseplants over the past year, and Talinis has a great selection of both houseplants and succulents.Pricing seems reasonable, and theyve even given me a discount when the plant I was buying looked a little sparse and sickly. I love that they have a big variety of pots to choose from, as many garden centers always seem to be lacking in the pot department, especially smaller ones. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and know the inventory well.Love coming here!
A wonderful local nursery that makes you feel like youre walking around someones magical garden. Im a new gardener and they were so patient in answering questions and helping me locate what I was looking for.Great selection of fun garden statues and supplies to make amazing miniature potted gardens. Prices are a little higher than a big box store like Home Depot but no more than 50 cents to maybe $1. They also carry more varietals and colors than chain stores and if youre into the Japanese art of Bonsai, this is your place!
They tired selling me USED 1gallon pots for $0.25/each after i asked them to donate to a local school project!!!Nurserys usually do this for free ...but this guy wanted to charge me for each used pot....when a new 1gallon costs $0.35 at the hydro store. Hella mad at these people smh.
We live nearby and shopped at Talinis many times. I never cease to be amazed at the unfriendliness and rudeness demonstrated by the owners/management folks. They have absolutely no friendly customer service skills, and act like they dont even want you shopping at their place....incredible...I have never seen anything like it. Some of the yonger staff are nice. We quit going there a few years ago. We decided we would rather drive further than give these folks our money.

2022-05-21I love Talinis Nursery so much! Today was my first day visiting the nursery and I am beyond impressed. The staff was very friendly, and the variety of plants blew me away. They have plants that other plant nurseries in the area don’t have. I bought a beautiful monstra, with a cute pot combo! The prices are so inexpensive, which allows you to buy more with your money. I’m still in awwwwwww. They have a forever customer in me!

2022-04-20IT IS UNBELIEVABLE! 🐇 I SAW THIS PLACE HAS JAPANESE MAPLES AND I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR OCTOBER GLORY!THEN I WAS LIKE HM I AM AFRAID THIS ONE WILL NOT GROW AS FAST AS THE October Glory so I used my phone to looked up for its growth rate! The internet states that it has slow growth rate of 12 - 24 a year 🐇I was like hmm I think that is very fast growth rate!So I purchased a JAPANESE MAPLE from this place for only $16.99!!!! So cheap so I was like ahh I have to buy one!I purchased one and planted in my backyard on ~April 1stThe GROWTH RATE IS INSANE!!!! 🐒IN JUST A FEW DAYS I SAW IT GREW NOTICABLY!!!! I WAS LIKE DID THIS TREE GREW 12 IN JUST A FEW DAYS?!!?I LOVED IT SO MUCH!Now around 9 days later. It is the seedling grew ~4 inches in each branch and the seedling as a whole grew ~14 taller in just ~10 days! I was like I think it is just me but I always remember the seedlings I saw there were incredibly small and even the one I purchased!I gave my seedling a lot of sunlight in the backyard and now it is around 29 tall!AMAZING! 🐇Photo below! Only after ~10 days of planting and the tree is already this big! Around 36” tall!I don’t think Talini has any Maple seedling this big for only $17. So mine must have grown this big in just over 10 days when it was just around 24” tall before!!!I love it so much as our world is very polluted right now so more trees and fast growing trees mean they capture more CO2 and faster CO2 from the AIR! :D

2021-04-09My sister and I visited today, it was my first time there and it was a great experience. There was a wonderful variety of many fruits and vegetables. I came home with a strawberry pineberry, tomatillo plant, sweet cucumber, and more. I was impressed with the more rare options they carry and am excited to bring some flare to my garden. Reasonably priced, and I got a neon photos which was a wish list plant. ✨ I will definitely be visiting again. I also want to mention the fact that they support local artists, which I think is super cool.

2020-11-27Really enjoy shopping here, especially when the alternative is Home Depot. Great selection of everything youll need to refurbish your garden, including harder-to-find items like peat moss and pink flamingos.

2021-01-31I can always find beautiful plants here. The customer service is great, the employees are friendly and knowledgeable.During the pandemic they follow the recommended protocol to keep customers safe. There’s a bell at the gate with an obscure tag that says “ring bell” to have an employee let you in, as they are limiting the number of customers in right now. Someone almost immediately comes to the gate for you.I recently purchased some pots that were made by a local artist in East Sac. I like that this small business also helps other small businesses.

2018-05-16First time here and now Ill come here before going to Home Depot garden center. Great layout, plants grouped in sections based on sun, shade, partial sun, etc. Great veriety and friendly helpful staff. You pull a little red wagon around as your cart while selecting plants.

2021-07-15This place was recommended to me by my mom. I am 14 years old. I struggle with depression. Recently i been getting into plants to kinda cope with it.I have at least 4 plants, but now coming to Talini’s i have 7! As soon as we got to the location i was just so happy. Which don’t happen a lot. The staff were very sweet. The environment was just so beautiful and peaceful. This is probably the first nursery i been to so far that ALL of the plants were in GREAT shape! I loved it! I left there feeling complete with my new plants. I will definitely be coming here every time in in need of a new plant! I definitely recommend for beginner plant parents!!

2021-04-01I havent shopped here in years... probably 3 or 4 and now I remember why. Pretentious, overpriced, and unbelievably rude. Just had a middle aged female employee scream at me as soon as I approached their entrance for not having a mask on. We were all outside, socially distanced.Green Acres and Silverado dont berate and treat their customers like this. Fair Oaks Nursery has exemplary service and a much better selection of gardening supplies, plants, and decor. Plenty of other places to shop that value and treat their customers kindly.
