We had made reservation with the Super 8 at Wyndham . And a few days later had to cancel to change date . After receiving cancellation # . The hotel charges my bank account for not showing on my reserved dates Which was canceled. I will not be doing any business with this place . They are a scam!!!
The motel advertises as pet friendly but the charge $40 per night per pet which seems high--especially since it is not a great location for pets. Theres not a lot of great places to walk a dog except down busy somewhat industriial streets. The room was clean but noticeably ugly. I mean I dont expect a cheap motel to be stylish but this one really hurt my eyes. Also, I think their no smoking policy is sorta backfiring because there were literally dozens of people smoking weed in the parking lot which felt a little sketchy.
Somethings was good and somethings was bad. Like the refrigerator it wasnt keeping our foods that cold and the television remote wasnt working. I had to go down stairs twice to the office to finally get a decent remote. But the room itself was nice,small hard bed,but a nice room though.
I was extremely pleasantly surprised. Im not sure if these are the same owners but I stayed here 20 years ago and boy has it changed for the better A LOT BETTER! Saying that they have revamped the place is an understatement. The rooms are extremely clean thanks to the awesome housekeeping team they have. The maintenance man is there everyday not to fix things but troubleshooting things before they break down. Its a family friendly place. The pool is really nice and clean they have a gazebo at the pool for those that prefer to not tan. The breakfast is great. But more importantly the employees at the front desk are professional, courteous, and very helpful. And I should add patient GOD knows they were with me and my 1000s of ?s. We stayed there 2-2.5 weeks and not once was there anything breaking down or dirty towels I say this because we recently stayed at a nearby motel 6 that was a nightmare.HONESTLY SUPER 8 SHOULD NOT BE AT 2.5 STAR STANDING ITS AT THE LEAST 3.5 (at the least). Its one of the best affordable motel/hotels in the Pasadena/Arcadia/Monrovia areas.SPECIAL THANKS TO THE FRONT DESK TEAM TYLER, TAN, GEO, IGNACIO.
Positive: The staff was very friendly. Negative: The room appeared to be clean. Each time we took showers the bottom of the shower would fill with water. We reported it but no action was taken. On our last day I was sitting on the bed and saw a ROACH! Now this freaked me out.
Well the nice thing I can say is the front desk staff is nice. If you like a bed that feels like youre sleeping on the floor, this is the hotel for you. If you like towels that feel like sand paper, this is the hotel for you. The tub filled up with every shower, not good. The lighting at the sink was horrible. When I was putting our toiletries on the counter, I felt a film on the counter, I had to clean the counter myself because housekeeping didnt clean it well. The coffee in the lobby is the same as your room, dirty water. We went to Starbucks every day. Our remote for the T.V. didnt work well at all. Needless to say, we wouldnt stay here again.
Came from Nor Cal and reserved a room here for my wife and 2 kids. The room was clean and plenty of space. The guy at the office was kind enough to hold the hotel for us since I let him know ahead of time that we were going to be arriving hours later. The guy at the office was very professional. Swimming pool was great as well and breakfast was nice (from 6 A.M-9 A.M).
Stayed Sept 10-14, 2017... I have to say this was a great stay. Desk personnel were great and the room was fine. I really liked the hardwood floors (no nasty carpet to deal with). The breakfast was good, but I think it could use a few more choices. Overall its great. I would recommend.
Tyler is an awesome individual that really went above and beyond.I had a rough time before check in and he was understanding and listened to me rant and ramble.Thankful for him and this location.Super 8 is the best in the west! Come here and stay it’s clean and great location.The GM is awesome as well
Very nice motel for the Monet. It was clean and smelled fresh. The room had a small refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing boars, large flat screen TV, a desk, hair dryer, coffee maker, and closet with hangers, oh, and an in room safe. The staff is very friendly. I will gladly stay here again.
Ive reviewed this property before so this one Ill keep short and sweet. The property is clean, updated, housekeeping is done efficiently and meticulously. The front desk team is fantastic. I want to thank all the guys at the front desk Tyler, Tan, Ignacio and Leo. These guys are professional yet curtius. And very patient GOD knows they had to be with me and the craziness of my day to day.....
Room is much nicer and more modern-looking than anticipated. Bed is very firm and creaky, but I still managed to get a good nights sleep. Towels, toilet paper, and toiletries are very basic. Parking lot is convenient and feels safe, well-lit. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.
Good basic accommodations. The rooms have been recently remodeled and are clean and pleasant. The location is convenient, and near the convention center. Only a short Uber ride away. Did not actually get in the pool, but it looks nice. There was also a mini fridge and a microwave in the room, which is a nice convenience. If you are looking for simple accommodations so that you can go out and have fun in Pasadena as opposed to staying at some fancy spa hotel, this could be the place for you.
Unfortunately there were a few issues with the hotel rooms that we stayed in. First room was a queen bed room and second was a double. Both rooms had an awful smell and the doors were not fully sealed on the bottom when closed. This not only let in a lot of light from outside, but noise, and any type of animal or insect that was smaller than an inch. The beds werent the most comfortable either. Some staff seemed to not care but others were perfect.
Decent area, close to a lot of great stuff in Pasadena, and LA isnt far. Nice room with hardwood floor, microwave, and good size mini-fridge. Bed is not great, though at least somewhat firm. Towels are somewhat thin and scratchy, pretty standard for an inexpensive motel/hotel. Ignacio at the front desk was great.
Excellent place to stay at. Rooms are very clean and nice decor. The wait staff is courteous, caring, professional and make you feel very welcomed. Such a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was awesome !!! They care about their guest and treat them with respect....great hospitality.Would recommend to people visiting this area. I would be surely coming back.
Great Hotel !!! Great Staff !!! My wife & I recently had the opportunity to stay at this Super 8 Pasadena California Hotel, for a business & Leisure trip rolled into one. All basic business facilities available in this hotel. We were welcomed very well by the staff & during our stay we found them to be knowledgeable of the area, streets, restaurants, & attractions available. We were treated very well & were always greeted warmly & friendly. They were more than helpful & very accommodating to our every need. The Hotel is just 3 mi to Pasadena Convention Center & close to everything. It was a very restful & enjoyable stay thanks to the entire staff. We couldnt be more happier & will stay here again on our next trip to Pasadena California.
THIEVES! DO NOT EVER authorize these people to charge ANYTHING to your card over the phone. They will MOST DEFINITELY charge WAY MORE than theyre supposed to, WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. And when you tell them they were not authorized, they say theyre going to refund you, but they will tell you but thats not really my area. We stayed there and I was rushing to get the stay extended before checkout, and I was planning to authorize any amount DEPENDING on the cost (meaning the length of stay was dependent upon the cost). I was told $1374.25, which I told them to go ahead and do as the TOTAL AMOUNT. Then they wanted ANOTHER $400 for the dogs...which they didnt mention until the next day that the first amount did not include the dogs, even though I was VERY clear from DAY ONE that there were dogs. The desk agent then got an attitude with me and told me to just cancel and they would go ahead and refund me. I told him I would call him back because I needed to make a phone call, but TO NOT CHARGE ANYTHING ELSE to the card. So they charged ANOTHER $400 anyway, and after I cancelled the stay, they charged ANOTHER $113.85. When I called to see what was going on, the lady that was now working at the front desk at that point told me well its not really my area so just call the bank and tell them, and when I asked to speak to the manager, well I can see if hell call you back, Ill try, but I have to go now, good-bye! BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE! Just because they remodeled the MOTEL does not make it a 5-Star Resort, and DEFINITELY does not mean they have the right to charge whatever they want to someones credit card!!
3rd floor room, elevator is not functioning, cleanish exterior, house in the parking area attached to the pool has a very loud German shepherd. Checkin employee was friendly. Building is A little run down upon closer inspection. A coat of paint doesnt fix a building. Stairs were a little on the not so safe side, but thats my opinion, Im not an engineer. I dont know what my boss paid but it would have been better to stay a few miles west. Comfortable bed and didnt hear anything after I closed everything up.
Upon arrival was told to come back in a couple hours the room wasnt ready. When we can back the room was still not ready right away. The front desk person had to physically walk outside to find the housekeeper. Then we were told its no towels in the room because they are still being washed. The elevator was really hot, small and smelled. Our room was ok for it being a Super 8 and the bathroom had some dirty looking stuff on the grout. It is close to the Rose Bowl so that was a plus.
The rooms are clean but the service wasnt great, they gave us the wrong room & when confronted with the issue they denied it & told us that our reservation was correct. We spoke to the next attendant who was able to switch our room the next day. After we extended our stay. Overall our stay was decent.
We stayed here the first night we arrived in California. We drove from Orlando and this was pretty nice hotel. The building itself needed some love but the rooms were REALLY nice inside. I wish we could have stayed longer than one night. The pool was also really nice.
Loved it!!! Everthing was as advertised, no surprises, no disappointment. Everything was so clean, no musty motel oders, so quiet . Slept like a baby, the pool is awesome and had more then what the pictures show on the website like a gorgeous gazebo and relaxing loungers. The blue light accents everywhere including the pool give it a nice vibe at night. We will totally be back!!!
The room was decent and decor was pleasant, I thougt it would be a great place until I saw the bees, flies and a small black bug under my pillow. My husband just fell asleep because he was very tired. I on the other hand was afraid to fall sleep, I had anxiety from the bees (2 of them, 1 got away and hid behind the head board) the flies on the ceiling bothered me and the black bug under the pillow made me worried it was a bed bug. Although, I did not see another black bug on the sheets. We will see when I wake up in the morning if I have bites. It is a nice room but the insects and bugs were uneasy to deal with in room 224.
Worst hotel experience of my life. My girlfriend arrived first and tried to check in our 2 reserved rooms (traveling with family). They gave her the card for one of the rooms but told her the second room was being cleaned but that it was already assigned to us.We were al day at a soccer match in the Rose Bowl and when we returned around 11:30pm, the manager very rudely told us that there was no room available. I cant stress enough how rude he was. He yelled at me, my girlfriend, my sister, and even the Expedia costumer server representative that was helping me figure things out.At the end, he gave us a *smoking* room with just one bed (it was 4 people and the original reservation was for 2 beds).As said above, worst hotel experience of my life. Stay away from this place.
They denied me service because the card I used to book the hotel was not on my personal belongings (it is saved in my hotels.com account) and this is right after the unprofessional lazy guy working on a Sunday night June 16, 2019 at the desk told me he receives no information on the payment card from hotels.com. So a liar too, great! And wait this is ok I get it, policy and what not. He tells me I will get a refund, ok sure. A couple of business days pass by and they hold $100 off of over $1000 reservation. I call hotels.com they tell me the hotel won’t refund the last part because of deadline cancelation but they said they would and refused me service. Hotels.com actually gave me three refund despite the super 8s actions. Honestly the front desk needs to hire someone with maybe a college degree. The guy was eating had food all over his shirt and his weight matched the rest of the persona. Super 8 you used to have standards, oh how sad it is to see this cost cutting in action.
There was 4 adults one child and was given 2 towels. No regular sugar for the breakfast they offer, internet they offered does not work the computer kept shutting off, when I asked for the towel I was told to come get it when I need it. At check in we requested to check in early and was okayed at a fee when we got there they told us it will be up to three hours wait. The key to enter malfunctioned. I think this is too much to have/ deal with on a vacation. I only got the hotel because everywhere else was full. This is definitely NOT on my list for comfort or hotel stay. Try else where take it if.. there is no choice.
I tried booking additional days online at another Super8 I was already at and accidentally reserved the days at this location instead. I immediately called this location and explained what happened. The guy told me he would have to charge me a $120 cancellation fee to cancel reservation even though I LITERALLY JUST MADE the reservation. He also tried lying at first, saying it was up to the website to wave the fee but when I cancelled online it sent me an e-mail with the hotels number saying it up to the actual hotel to wave the fee. The guy at the desk then told me his manager will not reconsider the fee. I actually was thinking about just moving to this hotel just to avoid the cancellation fee but then the guy increased all other fees for reservation by $10-$20 such as pet fees, etc. He states these were the same prices he already gave me but I had him on a 3-way call AND on speaker phone so I had witnesses he was lying. Due to the audacity, the lies and the inconsiderate service I was already getting from this gentleman before my stay even began, I decided to just let them have the cancellation fee (which the website stated was $110 but went from $120 to $130 by the end of the phone call- SMH). I can only imagine how much more they would have hustled me if I actually went through with the reservation. As much as he lied and tried to hustle me during that phone call in that short amount of time, I wouldve payed a $300 cancellation fee in order NOT to proceed doing business with these inconsiderate lying leaches if I had to. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE. THEY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY AND YOU WILL BE BAMBOOZLED OUT OF YOUR MONEY. Go to the Super8 in Alhambra instead.
It was very clean, very quiet considering that its on a major highway, or historic Highway but traffic was not bad and you really didnt hear it. I would definitely stay there again if I was in town and that area and its convenient and close to just about anything you need Viet restaurant fast food or shopping. And close to the freeway is too.
Room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was surprisingly filling. I had a waffle, some yogurt and an apple. there was also cereal, bread for toast and oatmeal. powdered hot chocolate, fresh coffee and tea bags were provided as well as orange juice, apple juice and milk. i slept well and was woken up with kisses from my dog who needed to be walked. my wake up call came on time a few minutes later. the only reason I didnt give this place 5 stars is the water pressure was not great and the orange juice was strangely fizzy.
Wonderful place, stayed here while visiting family and just so greatly appreciated it being such a fantastic place to stay, from the cleanliness, to the fantastic service I received, one name specifically stuck out to me, I believe it was Tyler? Everything about my visit was incredible and this hotel did not disappoint in the slightest, made my visit 10x better.
We had problems when parking the car. A really weird person was around and telling weird things from outside. We felt really insecure and moved the car away. We let the receptionist know about the incident and she told us that he was known in the area and she did nothing. We later see from the room that he and another guy was looking inside the cars and we witnessed a strong argument with some other guys outside. We felt really insecure!The room was badly isolated. We barely could sleep because we could hear all the noise from the highway. I got up a couple of times from bed because I though the windows were open, but they were not! Really bad. In addition, wood blinds cant keep the room in darkness. At 6:30 am the room was completely lit. Sleeping was imposible!The room looks like in the photos. Walls, furniture, bed, carpet, etc. are in good shape.

To start off I called the property to make sure I wouldn’t be charged till I arrived and the confirmed this. Before leaving I get an email stateing they charged me and I had insufficient funds. So they charge me 100 dollar deposit because of this. Moving forward get to our “ non smoking room” which the sign on the door was a smoking door . I tell the manager of the odor of smoke . He goes inside says nope I don’t smell anything . Tell him of the sign on the door and he says oh that doesn’t mean anything . I accept go back to the room. When I get back I realize the smoke detector battery is missing and I find a half smoked cigarette blending into the carpet . Bring the evidence to him and all he says is “Oh Uh Sorry About That”. I ask for another room won’t do it and says he will charge the last patrons of the room. That doesn’t help me what so ever. Over all terrible place your better going elsewhere . They trap you with a no refund don’t do it. Also the room was nothing the pictures provide.
Mysterioua try white stains on the pillows and I saw a cockroach in my bathroom. Not exactly the cleanest, and the fridge didnt smell so great either. There is a microwave in the room, which is nice, but based on the state of the rest of the room Im less inclined to try it out
They have a massive bed bug problem. They refused to accommodate me and give me a different room. I had to leave before my 2 week stay was up because they got offended once I notified them of their bed bug problem. Ive been training for the LA Marathon which is this Sunday and I have bed bug bites all over my ankles, arms, and places they shouldnt be. Got electrocuted from an exposed wire in room 313. Blood stains on the mattress (which explains the bed bugs). The managers son told me there was no bed bugs because he didnt see any bed bugs. Toilet flusher knob falls off. Volume button on TV didnt work. WiFi internet can not hold a strong enough signal for 5 minutes. Manager was not helpful at all. This place needs new management and all motels should be mandated to switch, change, and/or deep clean their mattresses at least once every 3 months.The employees were ok. But the manager, his wife, and son made me feel very unsafe by aggressively yelling at me when I attempted to resolve this issue in a professional manner. They just didnt want to believe they had bed bugs. If you ask me, they dont deserve to be in business. Either that or they need to get new management.
I am in desapoint for the service that tells me that there is no coffee in the hotel, supposedly they told me that there is coffee in the continental breakfast, the hotel is clean, I was received by the mss. when we arrived, she took very good care of me. when we wanted to go we asked for two more hours to be able to leave the hotel at 1:00 p.m. did not want the one that was in the reception or paying for those two hours,
Good rooms but customer service wasnt truly there they asked me how was my stay but seriously i know that fool couldnt care less he they barely speak English and look at you like a third rate human being because your not Caucasian. Great price though good rooms. This place just needs better host no question about that
*WARNING* Do not book with Expedia! We booked 2 adults and one child and they recommended one king bed. Pro tip: it doesnt sleep three. Super 8 said that they would have never allowed a guest to take a king for three people, but Expedia omits that recommendation to increase bookings. Otherwise, its a smallish room with a decent little fridge and microwave. It was clean and modern, and once you ignore the rennovations its not bad.
I left my computer in the hotel room and called to see if they had found it, knowing exactly where it was. When I spoke with the front desk they said they would call me back immediately. I waited two hours and then called them back, when speaking again with them it was the same deal. Finally they informed me they didnt find my laptop. I am travling in my car and didnt place or bring my lap top anywhere else. This place was very unhelpful in looking and returning my belonging.
They did not advise me about charging $40.00 for a pet fee, first of all it was a service dog not a pet , I feel like I was scamed I was supposed to pay $97.00. They charged me $110.00 + $ 40.00 pet fee I called and ask to speak to the manager and the GM.Sichin was not helpful rude and inconsiderate, I will defiantly will never ever go back there again.👎👎

2022-04-23Awesome room for being a super 8, never been a fan of super colorful beds and weird colored carpet (more of a modern style person) and I LOVED the bathroom, VERY modern and nice Looking!! but other than that wasn’t bad!! Very clean and beautiful flower beds on sidewalk out side. Very convenient area lots of shopping and yummy places to eat around. No sketchy people… Friendly employees. Only downside was no jacuzzi. They have a pool tho, and also they have room service!! Never have seen this in any lower priced hotel. Excellent for what you paid for!

2022-04-09Good motel for a night in Pasadena and close to downtown LA. The mote isl located near the 210 freeway but also has public transportation (bus) a few steps away and a rail connection (Gold Line) within walking distance (~15 minutes) or a short car ride. A parking garage is at the station. Check-in was quick but I did not get any info about breakfast. The king-size bedroom was clean, spacious, and had all the basic necessities, but only one small piece of soap and one vial of shampoo, one envelope of coffee, and one envelope of de-caf; all somewhat stingy! The breakfast in the lobby did not leave much of an impression on me. VERY, very basic and arranged by management without any interest in making guests breakfast-happy. For me the choice of hotel was purely pragmatic: price, location, familiarity with the hotel chain. I probably will stay there again for those reasons.

2022-02-20Great location. Friendly front desk staff! The reason why I dont give a higher rating is because I found a big roach, a dust spider and people upstairs were too loud most of the night, but the worst thing was that my daughter and I had a little walk in the parking lot and saw this two men inside the pool area smoking and one of them was urinating by the pool fence exposing himself to children. Horrible!

2022-05-09Horrible experience at this hotel. Staff is very rude and not helpful. The General Manager Raj Bhakta does not return messages. I traveled to Los Angeles for a work event. I lost my photo ID on the trip. They wouldnt let me check into my hotel room for the night even though I had a photo of my ID on my phone and the credit card I used to pay for the room. Instead of offering a solution, they just told me they could not help me. When I asked if I would be refunded, they said yes. It never happened. I followed up multiple times. Staff at front desk sits there and watches TV and then is rude when you actually need help.

2022-05-16Terrible place.Unfortunately found cockroachs in our room discussing.Bad we saw them in the morning after we spent the night there.One was in our bed.We let the front desk know it looks like they do not care.Probably is not the first time that this happens.

2022-06-21Positive: It was clean and convenient. Pets allowed. Negative: Pet fees were not presented upon reservation. Deposit was not communicated at time of reservation either.

2022-05-16Positive: Location was alright! Negative: Your money buys you a bad nights sleep with super creaky floors that amplify every step of the occupants above you. We were unfortunately under people that starting activity at 4.00 am! Luckily there is no charge for the roaches. They come free!

2022-05-04Positive: We got a new suite and it was beautiful. Staff was friendly . Negative: We ran out of toilet paper our last morning . Called desk and was told there was no one to bring it ! Not acceptable.
