We stayed here when we had to leave our home due to fire. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs since we had 2 cats and a dog. We got the ok that it was safe to return home after 2 nights but we had booked for 3. they didnt charge us for the 3rd night. Everything was very clean and comfy also the pool was quiet so we went for a dip. It was super clean and didnt burn my eyes from too much chlorine. We had a lovely and easy stay.
This is a nice hotel and I would consider it again. The hotel was nice and the room comfortable. My biggest gripe is that I had NO hot water! I was told this was because I had the furthest room from the water heater and needed to let the water run for about 10 min to get hot water. Not acceptable. Breakfast also left me looking for other options. For this price there should at least be eggs and beacon. I also did not receive any housekeeping, if youre gonna charge me full price, I should receive full price service. Because of these issues I rate my stay at a 6 out if 10. The hotel overall would get an 8 out of 10 for appearance.
Joaquin, the front desk employee, provided excellent customer service. It is because of this great customer service that we plan on continuing to stay at this location going forward. Please take the time to recognize a wonderful employee on the team. He was beyond helpful on the phone, while checking in, and during the stay. I regularly visit the Fresno area as I am a traveling registered nurse and now I plan on staying at this location each and every time.
My fiancée and I stayed at the springhill suite and the front desk person was very personable. The room was nice and I like the floorplan as the sitting area was separate from the sleeping area. So if you had guests in your room the sleeping area was afforded some privacy. My only disappointment was the complementary breakfast. I felt it missed the mark by a mile. There was not cream alternative for those of us who can not digest diary and the coffee was verey low quality. Other places I have stayed provide eggs, potatoes, waffles, cereal , toast, and muffins in the offering for breakfast. This was the most disappointing issue of my stay. I would consider Springhill Suites again, but in looking for lodging if a like quality establishment offering a better breakfast, I would opt for the better breakfast.
We stayed the night before my Son had surgery. After the surgery he felt to bad to make the 3 hour trip home. The hotel found us a room, on the ground floor so my son was closer to the car, and the staff were very helpful and concerned about his well-being. Awesome front desk staff!!!
We will recommend this hotel to our friends and family. An enjoyable experience overall. We understand the hot breakfast couldnt be served like pre-covid time at moment. The hotel did its best to provide all individually wrapped food for us to grab and go. Only recommendation is the pool water was a little too cold even in a warm afternoon. It will be nice if the water can be a bit warmer.
Terrible. Ask to see your room before you chec-in. Cigarette burns on furniture. Chipped pain on everything. Lampshade barely hanging on. Dirty. Afraid to take my socks off. Gross spots and weird “things” in the coffeemaker reservoir.Weird stains on the carpet and the walls. “We’re renovating soon” response from staff. This place is more in line with a Super 8 or Motel 6. Good luck.
We stay at this hotel usually once a month when in town. We like it because the rooms (some of them) have 2 queen beds and a pull-out couch, so we fit 3 people to a room. They recently raised their prices which is a bummer, so if we only have 2 people then we get a different hotel, because it’s way cheaper. But the quality of the rooms is great. Very spacious and clean. No complaints about the rooms. The breakfast in the morning is terrible but what can you expect. Hopefully when COVID is over they up their game again.Easy parking there, but take all your valuables out of the car, there have been break-ins. That’s not the hotels fault though, welcome to Fresno. We will keep coming here if we need a room that fits 3 people. 9/10 would recommend.
Ive been staying here for years now, and the place doesnt disappoint. Good area... clean sheets, soft beds and a decent size room for your money. Besides the UC Irvine Golf teams bus taking up half the damn parking spaces parking all crooked.... that would be my only complaint. Overall 8/10
The room was compact and clean. It has a small refrigator to store small stuffs and a microwave to warm up left-over. What I hate the most was the cleaning service. When I requested for a same day room cleaning I was told that I had to book a day ahead. I saw a cleaning lady outside and she said that she was not busy. For this kind of class of hotel, this is ridiculous.
This last stay was different then the previous times before. We arrived to the room, decided to put the tv on for our kids, however the remote battery was completely dead. We called and asked politely to have a new remote brought to us and the front desk told us “you will have to come to the front desk for us to help you with that”. Which would be no problem if I knew there was only one person at the front desk, HOWEVER, we just checked in 5 minutes prior to that and I knew for a fact there was two people there and we have two small kids with us after traveling all day. Even if they are not allowed to come to our rooms due to COVID or something, a simple “my apologies about the remote, unfortunately we cannot come to rooms directly due to COVID, would you mind coming to the front desk and we can get you a new remote?” Would have sufficed. It’s the customer service that did it for me this time. I know thing s happen and that is fine, but it’s the way the staff handles things that usually I don’t mind, I just didn’t enjoy having to ignore everything wrong with the room because they didn’t handle it when we called. Our room was not cleaned properly. When we pulled out the bed from the couch, there was ALOT of crumbs and wrappers that came out and were all over the bed. The light in the bathroom kept going out and flickering, it went completely dark on me while showering. The bathtub had dirt marks on it like it wasn’t even touched when being cleaned. The bed sheet we had for the pull out was ripped on the corner(s) of the sheet. Wondering why it was replaced? Wouldn’t even stay on the bed cause of how ripped it was. The pillows were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Very flat. And last but not least, the little freezer within the fridge doesn’t work, I put a little pint of ice cream I bought from the front desk for a million dollars in there and it melted. I really wanted that ice cream :( I have stayed here multiple times in the last 6 years regularly for family visits and never have had an experience like this. I hope they put some money into this hotel to buy new stuff to keep it feeling nice and clean!
Positive: The employee who checked us in noticed my son in his wheelchair and changed our room to a handicap room on a lower floor. He was very nice and helpful. Negative: I called requesting housekeeping in the morning (mostly for trash pick up and towels) but was told they weren¿t available.
Based on my experiences, customer service has been very good. Clean rooms and atmosphere. Plenty of space to walk your pet outdoors (if need be). Comfortable bed. The shampoo they use here is Paul Mitchell (tea tree). They do offer a basic breakfast here. CVS is right in front, with gas stations nearby and food options as well (Chilis, ihop, etc.) Would recommend and return.
As a busy mom business women I sometimes take a day to myself not to far from home. This hotel was great the only complaint I had is I forgot my shampoo and conditioner but was pleased to see they had dispenser in the shower but they were not filled no biggie I was just there to relax so I made do I enjoyed being able to log in to my Netflix the staff was great the snacks downstairs were a little pricey but not a deal breaker and I would recommend having some type of creamer and sugar with the coffee in the room other than that I enjoyed myself and would go back for sure
This place is a dump. So disappointed 🥺. Came for wedding so they recommend it. This price does not match the quality. Hot water didnt work, which is a standard service. They havent updated this place in years. Everything is old and unsightly. This is ruffing it in Fresno !!! Would never come back or recommend to anyone.
Unfortunately, this was a bad stop over for us. We pick Marriott’s because their is consistency in the brand. This one did not hold true to that statement. The biggest issue was not hot water. We had to take cold showers during our stay. When we brought it up, it sounded like the staff already knew this was an issue. They said sorry, but they were sold out and we arrived late, so no other rooms available. Then they told us they would refund or issue new bonvoy points. Sadly, haven’t seen those either.
Although this hotel was clean and new a few years ago, it is a long way from clean now. The carpet from the point of entrance to our room on second floor was filthy. Even the elevator floor was smeared and dirty. The sofa in our room was stained and dirty. The picture frame in the bathroom had mold. If this is an indication of Marriott’s new standards, we will reconsider our membership.
The power went out not too long after we arrived. We called front desk and they said they’d fix it. 15-20 minutes later I called again to ask for the status bc they didn’t update us. They said they went up to restart the breaker but I guess they had to restart it again. It was nice they solved the issue but 1) why did it happen in the first place 2) they should have given us an update or followed up with us after they restarted it the first time. Overall, it was still a pleasant/decent stay as always. I like the space for families, free parking and breakfast, and proximity to restaurants.
The only reason I gave 2 stars is the staff was amazing. My room was horrible. Stained couch, what appeared to be chewed up furniture, what appeared to be mail clippings on the floor, and only two pillows on a king sized bed. I only stay at Marriott properties as a gold or higher member depending on the year and this was the worst room I’ve ever had. I would have left if I wasn’t exhausted from 12 hours of traveling. I won’t be back...
This was a very nice place to stay. 4 stories to get off your shoes and relax during your stay. Whether you are heading to the mountains or staying around the city it is in a good area and centrally located. Lots of good eats around the area and lots of parking.Friendly staff over the phone and in the lobby. Free wifi, parking and breakfast. The complimentary breakfast was alittle lacking however this was due to the pandemic, so they could only serve items that were individually wrapped. Overall a great place and highly recommend
Room was not turned over... Did not check in until after 11pm with limited rooms, so perhaps that is why. Stayed here after leaving a very scary disgusting hotel by the airport, so just dealt with it and flew out the next day. Toilet was not flushed, dirty towels on floor, used wet soap on counter. Im sure they would have fixed it, but had many other issues in our travels that night and just wanted to sleep.
I had to ask twice about the hot water coming out of the vanity and kitchen area faucets. The only place we had hot water was the bathtub but we had to run the water for 5 minutes before it got hot. Also, behind the toilet we found tissue and other debris. Also, the couch was pretty nasty - had to Lysol it down before using it. The room was less than clean. Finally, the hot breakfast items were prison quality. Wouldnt recommend this hotel at all.
I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and very comfortable. Great tv options. The free breakfast was an unexpected bonus. Coffee was very good; lots of healthy options. I did not get to use the gym or pool, but those seem like nicely kept areas.
The employees are great. Youll love the cleanliness of the rooms. But not informing out of state customers on websites that almost all your amenities are shut down is not okay. I have no idea what their normal breakfast is like, but Rona free breakfast is worse than what any caring citizen would feed to the homeless.
Our room was not very clean, there were nail clippings on the floor by the couch, the woos by the refrigerator was all chewed up, some of the other furniture was pretty scratched up, white stains on the couch, and theyI only had two pillows on a king bed. I called down to get a couple more and at first was told they had no access to extra pillows. Only after I threatened to call corporate did they offer to bring some...
The rooms were not really clean when we went in. Carpets dont look like they had been vacuumed in a while, and they dont provide individual disposable soaps (instead use one of those mounted things with screw-off caps mounted permanently in the shower -- one can only imagine what a jokester could do). I would choose somewhere else.
This is an average hotel, with some room for updates, but it’s not terrible. Some of the rooms have gotten new plush carpet which has helped reduce slamming doors when people don’t close them slowly. The gym is OK, but don’t expect to see all of the weights (there were a few missing) and one of the machines has been out of order for two months. Breakfast is what you would expect from a low category hotel, but for someone who stays here almost on a weekly basis (for work), it would be nice to see a rotation in the offerings. The staff are not always the friendliest but there are a few at the front desk who are friendly and actually make an effort to remember the regulars. A smile goes a long way too. Overall, this is a decent hotel for business travelers. The hotel is close to some good restaurants, including some chains if that’s your thing. The hotel is also close to the freeway, but not so close that you can hear the cars all night long. The location itself is relatively safe, and only about 15-20 mins from the airport.
If your sensitive to noise, bring some earplugs. My white noise machine could not drown out the noise of what sounded like a racetrack. Very loud!Aside from that, this hotel is okay. The breakfast is decent. The bed is comfortable. The room is clean. The staff is friendly.
I actually went here for an interview today. Its a beautiful hotel with a very warm and cozy, sorta like home, atmosphere right when you walk in. The staff seemed really nice and helpful. Im definitely going to have to plan a staycation there one of these days. Hopefully I get hired on there, well see.
Hotel starting to show its age. Continental breakfast below average and not what it used to be. Jacuzzi not functional and filled with green algae water. Housekeeping only cleans rooms upon request, but this is not shared or clear during check-in. Possibly much of this is related to COVID.
I havent been disappointed with any Marriott hotels I have stayed in, and this is no exception. The hotel itself has an attractive theme of water and nature that was very aesthetically pleasing and relaxed me immediately. The description and pictures of the room online werent very clear, so I was surprised when I walked in to see the layout. The first night, I slept on the sofa while my other guest used the bed. The air was nice and cool, but since she wanted it cooler, it was a little chilly, and the blankets were not very warm, either on the bed or the extras in the closet. The second and third night, I used the sofabed, which was soft and comfy, with no springs or uncomfortable spots. The internet was easy to access and a great speed, fast enough to stream Netflix. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially when my guest forgot her room key at 2 in the morning and I was already asleep in the room. The breakfast was well varied, with something for everyone, although I would have liked to have seen a non-dairy milk alternative for drinking and adding to the oatmeal since I cant have dairy, but it wasnt a big deal. I was disappointed not to have the waffle machines on Friday morning, but they were there for the weekend, and replaced the fruit, which was a little sad. The breakfast was nice and hot, and a great variety of breads. All in all, it held up to the high standards I have for the Marriott chain of hotels, and enforced my decision to only ever stay in their hotels.
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and convenient the Springhill Suites was during my trip for the California Classic Weekend bike and run races. The Staff were friendly and professional, and made an effort to accomodate special requests. Breakfast was available earlier for the racers. Every area was clean, and the room was especially comfortable. The location was perfect, just a few blocks from the freeway, but safe and quiet. There was also convenient parking. I would definitely stay here again!
The staff was very helpful and polite at check-in. The room was very clean with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. I liked that Netflix, YouTube and a few other apps were selections on the tv, Ive never seen that before. While the breakfast was very basic, you have plenty of options to make oatmeal to your liking, the waffle makers were great, the salsa, spinach and cheese was nice to add to the eggs and the bacon was cooked perfect, also plenty good pastries and bagels were available. The staff did a great job keeping the breakfast area clean and organized throughout the morning, it was nice have a late breakfast and everything be stocked, in order and clean. I definitely recommend staying here.
I stay a week at a time here for work. The room is stylish, roomy and spotless. Great desk/outlets/Internet for working. Many options for breakfast but would appreciate variety day to day. Staff wonderful. Location- Quiet, easy parking, restaurants nearby and as a female traveling for work, I felt super safe. Don’t forget option for double points by passing on room cleaning.
I stayed there this weekend for business purposes. Prior to picking a place to stay I read on the safest hotels who practice safe cleaning practices in the midst of Covid and Marriott came up as being one of the best but my room was not clean. First I read there is mobile checkin but this Marriott didn’t provide this service. The mirror had finger smudges, the light switch areas were dirty, the couch had dirty marks on it with the cushion placed back backwards and I did not smell any cleaning disinfectant. I didn’t see anyone cleaning the elevator buttons, and in general the room felt and looked dirty! The grab and go breakfast was cheap breakfast burritos heated in the plastic wrap and raw, there were no cups for coffee and spoons. This company needs to monitor all of their hotels for consistently. I personally will not stay here again and feel this particular hotel needs to be evaluated.
Clean, quiet rooms! Staff friendly professional! Breakfast room good size with hot and cold items on the buffet. Only change Id make is the order of items so you dont have to jump back and forth as well as carry juice and flatware while dishing up. Condiments were before items youd use them on. We really like this facility. Have stayed here before and would again.
The accommodations were excellent. Great location. Staff were very attentive and ensured all of our needs were met. Micheal G at the front desk was very professional, friendly, answered all of our questions and made our group feel so welcome. We have stayed at this hotel for the past three years.
Easy booking off Expedia!Pet friendly! Even a cute little dog bag!Staff is nice.Place is clean.Room is great. It’s a bit narrow an odd shape, but doable. They also have Ada rooms too. They are doing their best during a pandemic. Obviously people with common sense are aware that a lot is up in the air. Some things are closed down. Some things are lacking. Not a reason to complain. Some reviews claim the breakfast is bad an they were not informed about it being lack luster while out of state but then their name shows local guide so I’m confused. Shame on the Ken (Karen) for complaining about food. It’s called Door dash or ordering out. They offer food. Simply put. They offer something!!!!Pre covid its close to a ton of shopping and restaurants. A huge park just a few blocks up too.We used the pool. The pool bathrooms need to be cleaned but then again stuff was closed down for awhile. I’m not going to hold it against them.
What a clean and happy hotel! The front desk was very friendly. Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Breakfast was yummy....I enjoyed my peanut butter banana toast. Strawberries were sweet. Love nutella. My room and bathroom was very clean. Bed was super comfortable. AC worked great. Hotel looked brand new. Everyone was always greeting me and smiling. THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY STAY EASY and ENJOYABLE! Internet-was strong and worked perfect.
Is it too much to ask smokers to not congregate next to the main entrance of a hotel? Not sure how long this group of women were there, or how many cigarettes they smoked back to back - but there was a cloud over their head! My car was 10 feet away and had cigarette smoke inside! The smoke was all over my clothes! I wish someone would have come out and asked them to walk a few feet away from the entrance. Left a bad taste (no pun intended).Otherwise, the hotel is great. Its off the main road, so it was quiet. The room was large and the amenities were great. Complimentary breakfast was very good.If you are staying in Fresno, this is a great option - just call ahead and ask them to ensure there isnt a cloud of cigarette smoke hovering around the entrance.
It was the first time my daughter and her family has been to Fresno. She asked where we were staying and she booked her reservation there also. We had 3 rooms. She was really impressed. The staff was very attentive to us and greeted us every morning. She said she had always heard negative things but she loved it there.
We love the large swimming pool and hot tub area. Everything is very clean and nice. The rooms are nicely arranged and have a refrigerator. We were so glad it was not filled with bottles of liquor and sweet drinks so we could put our own food and snacks in it. We often visit Fresno because my husband has a number of elderly relatives living there and we have stayed in many of the local hotels over the years. This one is our favorite. We do not like the corporate breakfasts at hotels but the Marriott does a passable job. There are many local restaurants nearby if you prefer to eat out
Really enjoyed this hotel stay. It was clean. It was quiet. It was comfortable. I liked where it was in relation to the areas I needed to be at in Fresno and Clovis. It was also close to the freeway but no exterior sounds made it indoors. Maybe it’s strange but I really appreciated having a CVS down the road.
I love nothing more than to be with my family in the comfort of my home, sipping on a hot cup of coffee and sleeping in my own bed. SpringHill Suites isnt home, however they demonstrated quality and excellence in every aspect of the service they provide and thats why I took the time to take this survey. Folks complain when things arent up to par and wont take the time to provide positive feedback when its deserved. When something is this good, it shouldnt go unnoticed. My experience was as close to home as you can get. The staff was amazing, the room was immaculate, the bed was perfect, they accommodated my preferences without having to ask (I was close to the elevator, not higher than 3rd floor, etc). They met my every expectation. They provided world class service and it was as close as you can get to being in your own home. I enjoyed my stay very much and would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback. I will return here every time Im in the Fresno area.
Staying there for a baseball tournament.. hotel was fine, clean etc... The day I checked out 6/30/18, my son had a game that ended at 1:00pm.. I requested a late check out and was offered a 1:30p checkout... we returned to the hotel at 1:37p, understanding that my key would stop working at 1:30, I stopped At front desk to get a new key.. I gave The young lady up front my room #233. She told me that it’s already cleaned and I cant Get in.. I told her About the late checkout, she said sorry the room has been cleaned.. I said, the room has been completely cleaned in 7 min? After her dancing around this for several minutes she finally acknowledged that the room was cleaned at 9a and that she was sorry.. I said thats Fine but my son needs to take a shower.. She disnt offer me any remedy and just continued to say sorry.. it was frustrating that the hotel couldn’t help me (your mistake) but I had 2 complete strangers that overheard this offer my son to take a shower in their room... Although it was very nice, I didnt Take them up on it and instead drove 5 hours home w a sweaty/stinky/uncomfortable son.. needless to say I will Probably look at other options next time in Fresno..
Our trip in September was just fine. We stayed over the weekend this time and had a hotel full of band kids that broke the elevator, we had a semi running outside of our window all night long, and no shampoo in the shower. The room was clean the breakfast was great, but not very restful for the money.
Nice, modern, clean. Offers streaming tv access which is nice and not yet available in all Marriott brands. Only has 2 doubles but big sofas still not as good for a family. Free breakfast is good. Plenty of free parking. Location is easy to get to close but not walkable access to many restaurants.
The hotel room was spotless and the beds were soft and comfortable.(we checked out of another hotel because the beds were so hard we couldnt sleep)I was recovering from surgery and thank God we came to Springhill Suites because I was able to relax while my mother and daughter enjoyed the big gym and pool they have. The breakfast was amazing as well. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and it is an overall great place to stay whether its a personal or business trip! 5 stars from me!
Clean, quiet and close to the freeway. Its nice to have a separate living area so you dont have to eat/relax on your bed. I usually stay at The Courtyard and like the balcony, the view of the pool and Courtyard and the outdoor space there, but in the winter I prefer this hotel. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. It is no frills, but it was clean and nice.
Overpriced. Our room was nice at first but then discovered after taking off our shoes that carpet was wet. Called front desk where i was told to pack up our stuff and bring it downstairs as he was there alone and unable to assist us. Poor customer service! New room slightly smaller and musty smelling. Then realized this morning that they charged my card for the full stay instead of the only 20$ deposit. The card of the person who reserved it for us was to be billed for room, not me. Now im being told it will be 5-7 days to get my money back on this unauthorized charge to my card and i will now have things bouncing in my checking account due to their errors. Breakfast was great and shuttle to and from convention center helpful but otherwise this is my 2nd worst hotel stay.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms design, space and practicality. The bed was comfortable, sheets were soft. The layout was well-thought out to provide distinctly separate areas between work/living and sleeping/bath. Parking is sparse and I had to park well away from the hotel when returning to the hotel late in the evening. It should improve with the build out of the commercial part of the space.
The quality of shampoo/conditioner/body wash was amazing and the room was spacious but it is misleading by calling them Suites when there is only a microwave, tiny sink and a mini refrigerator most without a freezer (inside the small fridge). And the pullout couch mattress is very thin and uncomfortable even for a child.
1. Checked in on app good. Left a message requesting a crib but never got a response.2. Checked in at front desk to get the key and requested a crib again. I was told to pick it up at front desk. Stayed in different hotels and this is the first time I was asked to pick it up and bring it to our 2nd floor room by myself.3. Breakfast is ok and happy that they accommodated the needs of the swim teams booked in the hotel to have breakfast earlier.4. Bath tub faucet was broken. Need to figure it out to work.5. A/C either turns too cold or too hot.6. Requested not to clean the room on or 1st day for points, 2nd day, came to the hotel while housekeeping is still doing our room so requested to just change the towels and clean the trash. 3rd day, no housekeeping done. Assumed they did it early AM when we still have out tag not to disturb. Extended our stay for another day. Left hotel in AM and came back around 9PM expecting a clean room especially after a tiring day but again, room was how we left it. No housekeeping again. Called the front desk and asked if they don’t do housekeeping on weekends. Front desk apologized so we just asked to give us fresh towels and trash plastic bags. Promised to send it soon but never received any till we checked out Monday AM.I am a silver elite member and I never experienced this worst treatment in any hotel I checked into.
We have stayed at this location numerous times and they are always very welcoming and accommodating. The location is so close to the freeway but it is very quiet. The staff is always able to assist us with any of our needs. Great pool and Spa are always welcoming. We have stayed other places, but that was only because this location was sold out at the time. We prefer to stay here when we are in Fresno.
Traveling often I need a reliable stay to make business appointments. My travel goes well when the hotel makes every aspect of my stay go swiftly and comfortably. A quiet night sleep, quick breakfast, and clean surroundings with the full cooperation of a responsive staff is what I have come to expect with this hotel.
This is hands down the best hotel in Fresno. Great staff, clean property and a great value. We enjoyed the complimentary full hot breakfast and high speed internet. Rooms were very spacious and very impressed on the renovations. Very hip and chic. We definitely recommend this hotel if you are going to be in the area, and if you need to know of a great place to eat or have a drink be sure to ask the highly knowledgeable staff. We enjoyed their recommendations.
I am very loyal to this facility. It is always clean, well maintained and comfortable which is extremely important when you travel. The staff is extremely friendly. I especially appreciate that they know me by name. I do stay at this hotel frequently because they go out of their way to ensure I am happy with my stay. This a well managed facility with a great team of people.
Beautiful Staff. Beautifully Cleaned Rooms. Printed out some work for me at the desk. I was without my laptop. Free wifi, HBO, SHOWTIME, Cable Channel. Bonvoy travel shorts are give great insights to different travel ports. Just a lovely stay. Very Eelcomong compared to some other Hotel Brands or Brand Locations.Close to Highway 41 to Yosemite National Park (few minutes drive away)
A clean hotel conveniently located for business or leisure in North Fresno. Decor is modern and rooms are spacious. Beds are a bit stiff, but pricing is great for a suite. Breakfast buffet provided but with no meat options. Snack bar is available near the front desk and restaurants are nearby. No platinum recognition when I checked in. Overall, adequate hotel for a business stay. Safe area near freeways and shopping.
Springhill Suites in Fresno had a great location for our business purposes. The conference room we had was set up very nicely. The breakfast was very tasty and very well set up and prepared. The check in experience was professional, quick and easy. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. I would definitely plan a stay here again if I am in the area.
Booked our king suite in May as part of our delayed honeymoon due to CoVID-19. When we arrived Destiny was training a new employer who did not understand a message about “transfer to king room.” Destiny simply told him to bypass and gave us a double room for our 2 night stay. When we came down to get a new room, Destiny stated they were “booked.” However, the guest behind us checked in from a July reservation for a king suite they just informed me they didn’t have. She said if we’d check out in the morning they could try to get a king room available for tomorrow evening. Destiny also suggested we just leave and not stay! Horrible front desk staff and manager not available.
We were pleased with how professional and helpful the staff were. The breakfast selections were disappointing ... a second attendant was needed for the numbers of guests. The room was adequate but had no counter space in the bathroom. The location was convenient and there is free parking.
I am a contractor and we stay at many hotels. This hotel had great service and good cleanliness but the sound travelled right through the walls as if they were not insulated. Our neighbors started talking at 5 am and I could make out every word of their conversation. I could not go back to sleep so I just got up and left for work at 5 am which was a bummer since I didnt even check in until midnight the night before. To be honest, I would not stay at this hotel again for that reason alone.
Traveling with a friend, we enjoyed the separate seating area. So thoughtful having paper plates and utensils with the microwave. Paul Mitchell products are my favorite. The bedding was white and fresh on such a comfortable bed.Every member of the staff was welcoming and very helpful.Really good breakfast with real scrambled eggs, sausage, fresh fruit and a variety of cereal and breads.Good security, also.
Disgustingly dirty! Didnt even stay one night. We had the suite with the kitchen. Attempted to clean it because we were displaced by the fire but when I seen the roach..it was a no for me! I didnt even get pictures of how dirty the refrigerator or stove and microwave were. Or the public hairs in bathroom!
The staff at this Marriott was wonderful and after staying here and experiencing the below expectation issues at this hotel, I think they should be at a better location. The hotel looks new but once youre in the rooms you see that things do not function as they should and the items within are not quality. We found a dirty room, bed smelled bad, electricity went out and it was noisy. 4th floor and we had dogs barking in the night, kids running down the halls laughing and yelling and elevators that always seemed to not be able to do their job. We took the stairs several times. We tried not to complain and deal with the inconveniences but will not return to this hotel again.
I came to town for my college homecoming. A bunch of us stayed at the hotel, and it great. The rooms were big enough to entertain in, we were able to fit 5 in our room and sleep comfortably. The rooms were clean, stylish, and the lobby was an awesome gathering place. Id stay here again!
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Our room was nice, clean and our floor was quiet, exactly what we were looking for on our wedding weekend. We are from out if town and were getting married in Yosemite, the hotel was a nice in between point since a lot of our family lives in Fresno and were from LA. There was bit of a hiccup at check in when we were billed, the tax per night was billed at checkin and was not included in our final total, since we were from out of town and use a local bank, transferring money on a Friday night was difficult, but we were able to figure it out and enjoyed the rest of our stay. It just would have been nicer to see that extra $40 included in our total than in fine print at the very bottom of our reservation page.
I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites Fresno, Ca and I was very pleased with the accommodations at this hotel. From the helpful staff to the clean ample rooms as well as the very adequate complimentary breakfast, I was happy I decided to stay here. The icing on the cake was the very convenient location to shopping, numerous places to eat and other places for entertainment virtually around the corner. I would have to say that for price I would certainly stay here again.
This is a nice establishment and every visit that I make to Fresno, this is the hotel where I stay. I had an experiencein 2010, where 2 relatives has special needs, the hotel staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Special equipmentwas delivered and the staff ensured the rooms were close to the elevators, met all of our needs. I can not thank thestaff enough for the caring and professionalism that I have experienced during my stays.
The hotel suited our needs for a one night stopover in Fresno. Close to restaurants and we utilised the pool & spa. The room was small for 5 and the sofa bed uncomfortable and we were required to make it up ourselves plus obtain missing bedding from reception too. The breakfast was adequate however we were disappointed by the wasteful disposable cutlery and plates. Overall I wouldnt stay there again.
I stay here regularly for business and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. While the staff are friendly, the rooms are out of date and dirty (see attached photo of dirty/stained linens on my bed). Tonight, I was placed in a handicap accessible room, when this surely was not the requested room type or requested rate. Additionally, the toilet is broken and no one seemed to notice before I called to alert. They have no solution for the toilet situation except to bring the security guy in at 1am in case he can fix it. Of all the times I’ve stayed here, I’ve never had my room preferences honored or even my Bonvoy status acknowledged; so if you’re a Marriott-loyalist, stay clear.
I stay over 50 nights with Marriott every year, and this is my first review. It is definitely the worst experience.I could not fall sleep for the loud noise from the AC (cannot switch from High Fan to Low Fan, and some parts are loose to make noise), the unpredictable traffic noise, and the bubble noise from the water pipes. Finally I have to switch to another room, and transfer my luggage (all unpacked, I have pack again, and unpack again)The night light is also extremely bright and facing to the bed directly. I used a pillow to block it.The screen of iHome is also bright and can not be turned off.The breakfast is also in terrible quality. There was a long line for the waffle, but it takes a long time for each guest to clean the sticky pan. (It takes 10 seconds to load, 2.5 minutes to cook, and more than 1 minutes to completely remove the waffle)The hotel should get a new waffle maker, and abandon this old one without complete coating.
We brought our three children and their kids to Fresno for a family reunion and the Springhill was the perfect place to stay. The suites had two double beds and a hideaway bed which made adequate sleeping space for each family. The complimentary breakfast was just right for adults and kids. The staff was extremely helpful, patient and kind to our group which included a lot of children. We will defiantly stay there again!
Very modern, clean and comfortable. Located within easy driving distance of campus, airport, shopping and restaurants. The suites are well equipped (except lotion) and the bed is comfortable. Pull out sofa is comfortable for only a couple nights. The pool is decent and the breakfast at this location is better than most Marriott continental breakfasts of a similar category hotel.
Our stay could have been greatly improved if it was not for a few large groups that seemed to be in the way, and making noise into the night. Our room, 306, could benefit by replacement bed. So much of our stay was positive, that I would definitely give it another try and recommend it to others.
While the few people were there to help us tried very hard, not enough staff to deal with issues like lack of internet service, plastic water bottle stuffed into pull out bed and un vacuumed space under the sofa bed, and an elevator that didnt work when we were staying on the 4th floor.
Our stay was very relaxing and restful. This is the first time we stay here and definitely going back. The place is really nice, clean, and quiet. It is on the nice side of Fresno but away on its own street. Many restaurants around the area and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The price is great for a huge suite that accommodates 4 easily. I highly recommend this hotel for all people looking for value and luxury.
We came on a very busy weekend. We had 9 rooms this evening for a business trip. The hotel accommodated us nicely ( we did book 4 months in advance) The managers were friendly, rooms were clean, bed was firm with a pillow top, breakfast was an assortment of pastries, fruit, cereal, yogurt, scrambled eggs and bacon.
This is an excellent location to stay for work / leisure. The staff is very friendly the fitness center is one of the best I have seen at SpringHill Suites. The breakfast served daily is very well done the attendant is very friendly and owns customer service. This location is very close to shopping, easy to get on and off the 41 Freeway and it is located in a safe area, I have never had any safety concerns. This place is a 10, I stay in this location frequently and I always have an excellent experience.
Very relaxing, however, we had a room right next to the elevator which you can hear all night long. Not a good choice of room to have, maybe consider sound proofing this area for the future renovations. These rooms should not be made available to paying customers that stay at hotels for relaxing and resting.
Place was okay until I found a bed bug crawling on my sheet the morning of check out. They said they’d have pest control come out and “look” but it’s been two days and I haven’t heard from them. I called and the girl who answered said she hadn’t heard anything about it (guessing someone new is in that room too, room #409). Absolutely disgusting and I’m itchy all over.Update: The managers review below should be taken with warning. She never called me back like she said she would. I had to call her and she did send me the pest control report. I find it hard to believe they didnt find anything since I killed the bug on the bed and also had it identified with someone you do NOT have a relationship with and it was identified as a bed bug. She offered me 2000 points. I reported her to Marriott corporate who said she would get back to me in 3-5 business days. I never heard from her- surprise! I then called corporate who said they tried making her contact me 4 times and she never did anything. She also charged me for my room, didnt give me points or nights from this stay either. She does not deserve to be a manager. I have now reported this facility to the Fresno department of health as the place needs to be shut down. If you want bed bugs, stay here! I came home with itchiness, bites, and having to dry clean everything.
The location was ideal for my mini family reunion for my moms birthday. I invited my aunts and uncle to stay here and we had a great 4 day family reunion (Fri to Mon). There was a variety of food to eat on Sat, Sun and Mon morning. There was cold cereal, hot oatmeal, variety of breads, eggs, bacon on Sunday morning and sausage the other days, and fruit. There was a coffee station and they had OJ and apple juice. There was plenty of space for everyone to eat. We had 6-8 people most of the time eating breakfast together. My mom said it was the best bed she has slept in and I concur.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The rate was better then I found online, staff were friendly, clean room and great water pressure. Little things were done right, such as make up remover wipes, breakfast, decent coffee and they seemed super organized! Thanks for a great stay
Gabriel, who was running the front desk the night we stayed was extremely accommodating. He answered my questions and helped out with what we asked for. He even went above and beyond when he made popcorn for my kids and I while we were playing games in the lobby. They were so surprised and excited. He was truly an employee who cared about the guests. I wish we encountered more thoughtful people like him. Please tell him how thankful we were for his service.
Chose this hotel for stay while visiting Yosemite National Park. This hotel was exceptional! Not a thing I can recommend improvement on. Free breakfast was great as thats important to us & save time. Not just a continental breakfast! It included a meat ( sausage or bacon) & scrambled eggs as well as fresh fruit, bread, cereal, etc.
The location of this hotel is good. Theres a small frontage road to get to it so its not right on Herndon, which is the main street and it can be very busy traffic wise. Room was nice and clean, staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was included with the rate, and it was ok. I had oatmeal with raisins and my kids had bacon and eggs. The eggs were powdered, but since the kids actually like them, it worked out. Minus one star as the walls are pretty thin and we could hear the people next door, but fortunately they were considerate and didnt make much noise. Stay on the 4th floor and further from the elevators if you can, as these rooms tend to be a little quieter.
I booked the wrong room and I want to cancel my reservation they told me there was no way I could get a refund. I DIDNT EVEN SHOW UP OR STAY IN THE ROOM AT ALL. I am so disgusted at the company, so upscale but THEY DO THIS!? NEVER coming here or booking with the company ever again. Thanks for nothing and for taking my $200. Sincerely a broke traveling college student trying to get by in the world.
This place has a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff basic amenities that made my month long stay for work a little more bearable. The morning breakfast consists of the staples most American mid-class to budget hotel chains offer: watery eggs, alternating between soggy bacon and soggy sausage rounds, a single selection of yogurt, various baked goods that are suspiciously reminiscent of store bought goods, various juices and milk, oatmeal, cereal, and a banana or apple here or there. Given this rather plain food selection however, the environment in which it is served in is quaint and welcoming. The news plays on a single screen adjacent to an unlit fireplace. The room seems to create a unique atmosphere where business men and women feel free to discuss the various details of their day with their team while at the same time inviting small children to enjoy their morning meal in all the loudness that is built up next to the infinite joy within a childs heart. The rooms themselves also seem to carry this mentality of shared community balanced with convenience. Furnished with a single television, a couch, a dresser, small closet, small vanity, medium sized dresser, and work desk the room seems to desire to make the stay of guests just as pleasant as the hardworking staff. With a surprisingly roomy kitchenette you can enjoy the luxury of a mini fridge, microwave, small coffee machine, and one rather petite sink any short-stay travel will be more than taken care of in these rooms. Well lit and spacious, they seem to have opened up a small space to feel as roomy and welcoming as home. With your own thermostat it rounds out all the necessities to feel like a not-so-familiar home away from home. The maid staff are kind and approachable and willing to help with any needs a guest may have and the rest of the hotel staff are just as willing to lend a helping hand whenever possible. The hotel store is a place where one must judge their need against the relative value of items. If the item is not immediately needed I would offer that you ditch the high prices there and attend the CVS pharmacy across the street for all your convenience needs. The laundry room is one place that seems a bit forgotten in all of this hospitality however. It is in a small room sequestered to a far corner on the first floor. Be prepared with about $5 in quarters before you try and do a load of laundry. Finally, there is the fitness center. This is a small but open space where one can engage in a decent workout. Full of basic workout machines you may not be feeling the burn in those weird muscles that you can work out at your home gym but this place will definitely get your juices flowing and you can get a decent sweat session in the fitness center.
Room is clean. Location near a mall with lots of food choices. The pool and jacuzzi were closed. I had been lookin forward to them after a long day of driving. Went across the parking lot to their sister property and were able to use theirs instead. Shower pressure fluctuated everytime someone in the building flushed. Hope breakfast is good. Just one night and on the road again, so no big deal, but I will find another place the next time we pass through.
I travel each week to the Fresno CA area for business, and it can be quite exhausting. This hotel has the friendliest, most professional staff, plus very nice, comfortable rooms. The beds are a complete dream. I sleep better at this hotel than I do in my own bed at home. Its also nice to have a fresh, hot breakfast each morning before I head out to work that day. Thank you Springhill Suites/Marriott!!!
Nice clean hotel with modern amenities. centrally located to several freeways and easy to get to. Nice shopping and restaurants only a short distance from location. Great workout area for those who want to maintain their routines and breakfast has a nice selection of well prepared foods.
Was here visiting my friend. The parking lot is a bit hard to find at first, but aside from that the hotel is really nice inside. The rooms are pretty spacious, but perhaps the best part was the fact that there was actually a kitchen and nice sozed fridge. It almpst felt more like a nice apartment than anything. Id definitely be comfortable staying here for an extended time.
Room was long and narrow. Felt like I was in a closet. The TV was located on a corner so not really in the bedroom area and not really in the living room area. Staff were good. Breakfast was good. The parking is in the back of the building and not enough of it. Overflow parking is not well lit. The location in Fresno is good just off the 41.
Breakfast was horrendous. Noise is a constant issue with annoying teams. They must focus most of their resources with teams. Because thats mostly whats here always. Very cheap for a Springhill, outside areas are totally ghetto. Completely taken over with bums and junkies. Front desk is VERY rude, and do not care if you have any sort of an issue.
Easy to get to the freeway from here, but isolated enough to be quiet. CVS is within walking distance. Everything else requires a car. Short drive to Target, Starbucks, and many restaurants. The room wasnt huge, so our family of four felt a little cramped. Front desk employees were polite and responsive when our TV needed a repair.
Hotel is recently updated with clean, comfortable rooms. Property has a 24-hour gym, a office center, a larger pool and spa. Every morning complimentary hot breakfast is offered and a lite plate option Monday-Friday in the evening. Also, so far the staff has been awesome.
My husband and I had been traveling for a week when we arrived at SpringHill Suites in Fresno. SpringHill was a welcome hotel after staying at several others during the week. The room was large and clean. The pool was cool and refreshing even though the temperature was ninety-nine degrees! We really enjoyed our short stay at this hotel and will definitely stay at a SpringHill again!
I have been staying at this hotel since it was built. I come to Fresno for business several times a year and always try to stay at the Fresno Springhill Suites. The location is ideal for both business and after work activities. The hotel is clean and the manager always makes you feel like an important guest. Generally no surprises when you stay at this hotel.
We stayed at the SpringHill Suites Fresno because weve stayed here on several other occasions and have not been disappointed. True to form, the staff was friendly and exceptionally accomodating. The hotel is centrally located to the freeway system, shopping as well as night life. When we visit the valley in the future, we will certainly stay at this hotel again.
Nice place, I have stayed here several times and alway enjoy. The rooms are clean and I like the setup with the seperate little living room. Staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast is good and they have a little fridge next to the check-in desk with drinks and desserts.
We came to Fresno because my son had a couple of hockey games. We loved the location of the SpringHill Suites. The staff was nice and very helpfu.l It was clean and had a great lobby where a bunch of us hockey parents hung out to chat and relax. The kids loved the pool/jacuzzi area. We would definitely stay again when in Fresno.
I spent a night there for business. The room is very business friendly. I was very comfortable using the desk, WiFi, Chair, etc... The place is very close to shopping and nice restaurants. Also, very quite with hot breakfast. I have to say that the receptionist was extremely polite, helpful, and professional - the values that are slowly diminishing in US.
Not the clsssiest place in town. The elevators smelled of cigaraettes and the bathroom door needed my body weight to open and close. But the beds were soft enough and the staff was fantastic easy to check in and out quick. Breakfast was what you would expect from a place like this.
We had medical appointments and this hotel was the best choice. They treated my grandson like he was welcome and they have an on site store for lots of ice cream. The hotel was large enough for him to get to walk his energy off. Its safe, clean and very reasonably priced.
Nice quiet place. Walls werent that thick enough, I could here my neighbors. If you are looking for a hotel with breakfast included look elsewhere. While they do have breakfast they take forever to bring it out. And when they do, its only enough for 5 people. This includes yogurt, bread, hot items, fruits, and coffee. Oh yeah, even hot water. Lol, next time Ill be staying at Holiday Inn.
If you are traveling with children (specially babies/toddlers) this is the best hotel to stay at. It has a little area with a microwave and fridge as well as a sink to wash dishes in or bottles and soppy cups. There is plenty of space and the beds are very soft and comfortable.
Located in Fresno, California at Herndon and Fresno streets behind a brand new CVS pharmacy. Its close to the 41 freeway. The room was very nice with a full wrap around couch, queen size bed draped beautiful in an down comforter, tv, refrigerator, and a nice space around the room which was split between the entry way/ living by room and bed area. The room was cozy. The exterior and interior of the hotel were very clean and beautiful. Restrooms near elevators were also clean and smelled good. We visited family, and were very happy to see and visit this hotel, while enjoying our family.
My daughter and I stayed 3 nights over the Christmas weekend at the Fresno site on Herndon. We received excellent service all around, and want to particularly single out Esterlin at the front desk. We had several encounters with her over that time. Each one was very pleasant and professional but even more was her friendliness making us feel right at home. We highly recommend this site and will more than likely return in the future.
Has all the nice things I would expect. Good fitness center, decent pool and hot tub area, and very clean rooms. The room layouts are somewhat terrible if you plan on watching any TV. And the free version of WiFi may as well be 56k AOL. Verrrrry slow and mostly non existent if you dont pay the 5 dollar a day fee.
For the price, this is a fantastic hotel for overnight guests in Fresno. The rooms are roomy and cozy, and there is free Continental breakfast. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Its kinda in the middle of no where, but close enough by car to go to restaurants.
Convenient hotel location since we were going out to The LUXS night club we got Lyft driver thanks to the Front Desk person. Took us like 10 minutes to get to the club. I paid a good deal with my discount for a suite. The Front desk girl was friendly and patient lol since we were running late. Anyhow the living room is small if you have 4 girls in there trying to get ready. The beds and pull out sofa are comfortable. Very clean rooms and hotel as well. Breakfast options are good and the eating area is so nice as well. Free parking a plus since some Marriotts do charge. Thank you.
Not a good experience at all. Id rather not go into detail... corporate can contact me for that. Look at all the other reviews for all the other places Ive taken the time to go to and do reviews for here on Google... So you know something bad had to have happened here... wasnt good... And I want to believe someone from Marriott is going to see this and at least attempt to contact me ... But... Well see.
The bed in the room had bottom fitted sheets that were too small and kept snapping off each time we moved on the bed. We had to keep getting up during the night to put the sheets back on. This is a Marriott property!!! How sad. When we reported the problem at check out to the desk clerk, his reply was an uninterested, Oh sorry THATS IT????
Large mini suite style rooms with fridges and microwaves. Breakfast is free and okay, but as always with this hotel level, high in sugar / fat / salt. Wifi was strong although best to use a vpn as it is not too secure. Location in North Fresno business area is best feature, as hotel is very close to lots of dining, retail, and business (mostly medical offices, hospitals, banks).
Springhill Suites Fresno is one of Fresnos finest. Great, safe and upscale location in Fresno. The complimentary breakfast had many offerings, and was neat and clean. This hotel is my first preference when I am in Fresno for business. The staff was welcoming and accommodating.
I give this place a 10. It was clean, the staff were accomodating and very friendly. The rooms were well laid out with plenty of room. The Hotel was also in a descent area with a lot of restaurants and shopping around. This is a place I would be sure to return if we need a place to stay in Fresno.

2022-06-14Lovely experience staying here! Pet friendly, offer a military rate, clean, super quiet, close to shopping centers and great food, and seemingly safe. The breakfast offerings were better than most hotels.I do wish they had more washers and dyers. They only had one set and a guest was hogging them of for quiet a while. I had to go back a few times and they had the washer and dryer both filled with clothes just waiting for someone to do something with them. When I spoke with the front staff about it their solution was to just wait and they didn’t know their room number. The room itself was very well maintained and the ceilings were super tall. We will definitely be booking here again when in the area.

2022-03-01The best Springhill Suits we have ever stayed at. All the Front Desk and Staff were very helpful. Had a few glitches which were resolved quickly. The breakfast was great and the Breakfast Staff even better. The area was kept clean and fully stocked. We had a large sports group and they opened the breakfast early on the weekend to accommodate us. Overall a 5-Star experience.

2022-06-28Stayed a few different times over the past couple years, had one bad stay last year and decided to give them another try.I drive up to the front of the hotel, cant park and unload due to a photo shoot. Besides that everything was good so far. However, get to my room, no towels, no body wash, cant turn the TV channels or turn it off (unplugged it), not sure if the floor had been cleaned, had some debris that wasnt mine.I tried, really doubt Ill be back to this hotel - Titanium Member!!

2022-02-09Positive: The extra helpful staff. The rooms were nice and clean and the lobby and breakfast areas were stylish yet warm and inviting. Restaurants were a stones throw away. Negative: Non staff issue: The doors to the exterior and individual rooms slam really hard upon release and will wake or startle you. If they fix this it would make the experience darn near perfect.

2022-06-27Traveled with someone who is handicapped, and was promised the roll-in shower. Didnt receive that room. We did have a handicap accessible room but we specifically asked and were promised the roll-in shower. The toilet decided to periodically run at different intervals throughout the night. There were two pieces of a candy wrapper under my bed and we hadnt eaten anything or even unpacked yet, so that was pretty gross.. The parking was horrific. Breakfast buffet was good. Now let me say, everyone at the front desk was great and helpful, the breakfast staff was quick to help and very friendly.Id give 5 stars but Im really upset about the lack of handicap features we were promised upon our advanced booking.

2022-03-09The dirtiest sofa, carpet and walls. Dingy looking and feeling rooms. For $200 a night I was expecting much better. Will not be returning. Positives - Polite, friendly and nice staff, bathroom had a tub.

2022-03-17Horrific. Room remodeled with cheap hard furniture and bed. Bathroom was dirty. Pillows stiff and extremely uncomfortable and staff refused to help replace them. Internet wasnt working. After 10 years of frequenting this place I will now steer clear. Motel 6 is better.

2022-05-02We had a couple of issues when we stayed here March 23, 2022. The first issue was they changed our room size without notify us before we checked in. We had booked two queen beds and ended up with 1 queen bed to fit 3 people on. They didn’t have any rooms available and told us that I’d we didn’t accept that room we where out of luck. The second issues was our sheets. We found torn and stained sheets. When we brought this up they gave us the sheets but had us replace them ourselves. The last issue and the most gross of all was we found feces on the wash towels. When we brought this up to the Manger named Branden Shelton he said he would reimburse our stay but that never happened. I wish i could share the pictures here.

2022-06-10Nice place. Pet friendly. Military friendly. Minus one star for only having one set of washer and dryer for guests.
