I cant understand how this place has the positive reviews that it does. On a surface level, the cabin seemed clean but upon further inspection the mattress was absolutely filthy. My first concern was a clear blood stain on the mattress protector (unfortunately I didnt get a picture of that). The worker, Nevada, brushed off my concerns and told me it was a water stain. It was not a water stain, it was clearly red/brown. I wouldve even believed that it was a wine stain but instead she clearly tried to lie and say it was water. Her condescending attitude explaining that the protector was waterproof (as if I didnt already know that) was very unprofessional. It was clear she thought that I was stupid. She offered to remove the mattress protector and that point she unleashed a horrid sight. The pictures attached to this review are of the mattress we were expected to sleep on. This thing was memory foam and clearly heavily stained and soaked in other peoples bodily oils. It was at this point that Nevada admitted to us that they it isnt normal for them to strip the beds completely for cleaning. And that they only do a deep clean of the cabin, where they vacuum the bed, once every few months. 🤮🤮 Are you kidding me? How disgusting is that?? Youre telling me I could be sleeping on months old filth??She also admitted that they only had a few new beds in all of the cabins they had available. How is it fair that everyone pays the exact same price and some have new, well kept beds while other are given these bacteria ridden sponges? Also, the fan blades were caked in dust which is also pretty disgusting and shows a lack of attention to detail.Overall, the location isnt terrible but the mattress situation should definitely be addressed. If you dont really care about the fine details and youre okay with potentially sleeping on months worth of strangers filth, then this place is for you!
Took a drive to show my husband the cabins that I stayed in this time last year. Im bad with names but I think Michelle was the manager that greeted us and showed us a 2 room cabin. My husband agreed were booking this spring for our 25th anniversary. The cabins are beautiful, clean well stocked with all the things I usually forget when camping lol. Since Ive stayed before I can tell you the beds are comfortable even the couch bed, the linens fresh and pillows are awesome and the grounds are a really nice place to picnic and hang with the kids. I liked it and cant wait to make mlre memories there.
If youre looking for a place to stay during your visit to Yosemite National Park, I highly recommend this place! Its approximately 1.5 hours away. We stayed in a micro cabin, and it was very nice and cozy. Outstanding communication regarding check-in/check-out process, which is entirely contactless - awesome! The amenities of the cabin were great, including a fridge, and shower caddy, and wireless phone charger on the lamp. There were also enough outlets to charge all your electronics, which I really appreciated. Bed was comfortable and the shared bathroom facility was just steps away and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.
This was truly a great find! Our daughter had friends who stayed there & recommended it. We rented the one bedroom units and they worked out great! Kitchen was pleasantly equipped with almost everything so easy to cook there for our family. The grounds are awesome, plenty of hiking trails, free bicycles to ride, unique sculptures around the trails and just so relaxing. We will be back! Thank you Sierra Meadows for a great place to visit.
Beautiful! Just a small, charming place! Restrooms/showers are separate and shared (individual stalls) near your room. The staff was amazing and so helpful! Free bikes to ride around and this place is very close to Yosemite, which is where my friend and I went the next day.
We had a wonderful time at Sierra Meadows. We drove to Yosemite each day which was manageable even though the commute looks long on Google maps. Its about a 30-40 minute drive to the park entrance and then, depending on which trails/site you want to see, potentially another 30-40 minutes from there. Staying near Oakhurst allowed us to still have access to restaurants which was much appreciated since grilling is not available due to the drought. The rooms was cozy and the washing/bathroom facilities were accessible to all the micro cabins. A small but wonderful benefit was having a spigot of filtered water accessible so we could cut down on our use of plastic before heading out to the park. We didnt use the property grounds much but overall, we had a wonderful stay.
The cabins are extremely clean and the staff are friendly. The cabin comes with pretty much everything you need in order to stay as well. The drive down was pretty weird because it felt so secluded but once we got down here to the cabins, the area was very nice and chill. I definitely recommend this place
These cabins were absolutely stunning. The interior decorations made me feel like I was at home. Our cabin was super clean, the price to stay here was super low and most importantly it is PET FRIENDLY. Thats a major plus for me because lots of places usually charge an arm and a leg to have your pet stay with you. There is nothing negative about this place and I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to spend nights in a cozy cabin not too far from Yosemite.
Overall good clean cabin with nice amenities. Area has nice recreational activities. Bikes, walking trails and pool. Things to improve is very late check in time, 4PM. Provide actual pictures of cabin that you are paying for. Pictures of bunk bed were a little deceiving. The room is very small and congested (only one person can stand in at one time). Bathroom lock does not work.
Super friendly staff, well appointed and comfortable cabins. The grounds are amazing and the proximity to Yosemite cannot be beat. Plus its an old golf course so they still have the clubhouse and pool, you can spend the day hiking at Yosemite then come home rinse off and head over to the pool for a sunset swim with a great view food, drink and music (FYI, written in 2020... so the food and drink isnt happening right now but the pool is, under normal circumstances they have full services that are excellent).
Great space. Very quiet. Enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the woodpeckers, stellar jays, and chipmunks in their morning routines.Easy going and all were respectful about mask wearing and cooperating with quiet times.Staff came to the rescue when someone at our cabin required a bandaid.
Claims to be pet friendly but charges for excessive dog hair. transparency in additional charges would make all the difference. Spa/jacuzzi was closed during my stay as well. 2 out of 3 ACs worked great, 1 of them did not and that room was stuffy for most of the stay.
The best get away Ive had in as long as I can remember... Dont expect 5 star amenities, there wasnt even a sink in out cabin... And it was perfect! I would recommend this place 100 times over if your looking for something clean, comfortable, and secluded, this is your place.
We stayed in the cabin which was very nice - clean, updated, nice touches (board games, reading lamps), nice towels, stocked with bowls/plates/kettle, very quiet, easy check-in process, comfy bed. The welcome binder in the cabin was very helpful. The only downside is its about 1.5 hours from Yosemite Valley. We were 2 adults in a two bedroom so the cabin was great for us, but I could see how it could feel crowded with more people/kids in there. Despite this, I would 100% stay there again
We had an excellent time here with our two littles and a stay in a family cabin. Accomodations are perfect with most of the day taking place in the great outdoors. We didnt feel like we needed to leave the property with tons of trails, ponds, biking and swimming at the pool. Owners are exceptional hosts who care deeply about the land. You will be more than satisfied with this gem of a spot!
Amazing cabins/tiny homes. Has all the amenities you would find at a hotel, but with the convenience of having your own place. With all the Covid regulations, this was the perfect place to stay because everything is self-contained. Also great communication with the staff via email and phone.
Sierra Meadows is a set of supremely comfortable luxurious mini cabins nestled in a great area just south of Yosemite. The area is spacious and the clubhouse area has fantastic art to explore and frisbee golf and a pool. Its wonderful for groups of people who need separate cabins.
Enjoy the time over here. Every cabin looks so cute and harmony. For the inside, you have everything you need. If you live in a micro cabin then you need to use bathroom with others but the bathroom is clean and comfortable. If you hope to visit Yosemite then be careful that you still need to drive 20-40 minutes. Im 100% satisfied with this cabin.
Overall were satisfied with our stay...cabin#3 is big enough for a family of 4, but counter/storage space was very limited. Would recommend arriving or leaving during the day since roads are difficult to manage at night (very limited/no cell service with TMobile). Would recommend management ease checkout times (i.e., allow brief delay) and adding shower curtain liners to avoid the inevitable water on the bathroom floor. Would come back, but quite a drive from Yosemite Valley (1.5hrs)
A very peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of town but still close enough if you wanted to run in for dinner and a movie. The staff was very friendly and the facility was well maintained. A beautiful pool and walking paths also available. I definitely will return here for a stay in the comfortable cabins!
I was there in March. The owners of this place should be very proud of what they have created. The cabin we stayed in was spotless and new. Fresh coffee beans and a grinder and all of the kitchen appliances and utensils you will need for cooking etc. The golf course that is not in service across the road is a very great place to walk with great scenery etc. We had our own deck and outdoor table and it was very quiet and peaceful. I would rather stay here than a 5 star hotel any day! P.S. we are from Minnesota and we have very high standards and this place fits the bill for a 5 star rating!
We spent 2 nights here ( Family Cabin) and had a great time! Its about 35 mins from Mariposa Grove parking and the check in point for Yosemite. Its about 1.5 hrs away from Yosemite Valley. We loved the remote location. Tmobile service is nonexistent in most of this area, but it was a good away to disconnect. It was our first time here and we would definitely stay here again.Pros: We received several emails with info on the days leading up to our trip. Check in was all no contact which was great. I highly recommend you check in before you arrive at the cabin, perhaps when you begin your road trip or before. The cabin was clean though we did do our own disinfecting of commonly touched surfaces as well.Sierra Meadows is about 10 minutes away by car from an intersection with multiple shopping centers including grocery stores. Some of the shops included pharmacies, fast food, several pizzerias, Italian restaurants, Mexican restaurants, donut shop, coffee shops, and other local restaurants. It was good to know we could easily pick up dinner or groceries. It was also convenient because we easily stopped for dinner at one of the shopping centers on our way from Yosemite. We did do a little cooking at the cabin. We tried bringing our own copper pan, but copper and aluminium could not be used on the electric stovetop so we used one of the little pans in the cabin. We saw other guests bring portable grills and do some BBQing outside. Some people brought tablecloths for the picnic tables that are outside each cabin. I thought that was a good idea.Things to consider:The only thing to be aware of is that we did encounter some ants after leaving pretzels in a ziploc. We quickly cleaned it up and put away the food and didnt see ants again. Next time I would bring an air tight container or something of the sort to keep food in and ants out. Also, the sofa was not the comfiest, but I might be unfairly comparing it to our comfy couch at home :p.
Frankly it was a bait and switch. I’ve been considering buying a container home so was delighted when I went on air bnb and found this 2 br new container cabin. I was planning a week away, some business, but mostly change scenery, health break and so I rented the cabin in the photos through booking.com. I actually had a friend planning to join me for the last 3days. I drive from San Diego to Fresno and stopped for lunch and to call about the cabin door code. I was 50 miles away. Something told me to check on the cabin. They had put me in a small cabin because I was only one person!!!!! No one said anything about that on my reservation. It was sold out so I couldn’t switch! I was so mad, sad, deflated. They kept saying that it said tiny cabin on my reservation. It didn’t say that on my paperwork! Plus. What does that term mean exactly???? Even a 2 bedroom is a tiny cabin. The guy on the phone argued with me. I told him I was cancelling and wanted a full refund. He said he couldn’t do that and referred me to booking.com however all of the charges on my debit card were to Sierra meadows. I’ve got my bank and booking.com working on this but I won’t stop till I have my full refund. So I turned around and drove all the way back to my home in San Diego. 11 hours in the car!!! Ask me if I could ever recommend Sierra Meadows?!? If I could score minus 1 I would do it.
Fantastic staff who left us to our holiday unless we needed any assistance and then they more than happy to help us.Check-in was simple, and the lodge we stayed in (lodge 1) was well equipped, clean and tidy. The only addition we thought of while we were there would have been a toaster? If we were lucky enough to be in the area in the future we would definitely stay here again!
This place is beyond exceptional! If I had to do it all over again, Id make this base camp for the entirety of our Yosemite trip. Friendly service, more amenities than a hotel room, and incredibly peaceful. Knowing this property has been many things before, I believe this will be here for so many years to come.
I will give only one star to this place, because I spent 3 nights there, in which the first two nights we got a very stinky 2 bedrooms cabin. We called for service the first night because we couldnt stand the bad smell, but never got help. The last night we got a diferent cabin it was ok. But I paid a lot of money to rent a cabin here, they should put more effort in the cleaning of this place and offer a better service once they have a client in their property. When I rented it, they also said it has a pool. We never found it, and there was no one around to guide us or to at least tell us where everything was. Very beautiful place but we were very disappointed with the service and definitely not going back.
What a beautiful place to have a campground. The people are great over the phone and then it happens. The host is only seen racing his truck in and out never a hello and never cleaning up. Trash is never emptied in the week I spent here. Volleyball and horseshoe pits so overgrown and no materials available to play. I suppose I could ask the host but he is never around. Swimming is a charge when really it should be waived since no other amenities are available. Fishing well theres a pond that is catch and release but the campground has fish cleaning stations so thats confusing. The bathrooms not cleaned swept or anything in the week I was there. Cars an workers race through the area twice a day never stopping. Such a waste of a beautiful area that with a little tlc could be a great place to stay. The website is completely off with its photos and even the directions dont discuss hairpin turns on the website. You only find that out from a brochure that you dont get til after you have been there.
Nice place with an super cool swimming pool, although you have to find it at first (but that is not so hard). We had a 4 man cabin and it was wonder full. You get a Bluetooth music box and it works great and the bathroom is pretty nice as well. The ac works good so you arent sweating all the time.
Your response is selfish and I hope this happens to you and other states follow suit like Florida that wants to give their people Freedom that our whole nation was built on may God bless you anyway!Requiring customers to be vaccinated can draw $5,000 fines starting soon in Florida
This review is based on my stay at sierra meadows rv park. My son had a tournament in oakhurst ca, and it was less expensive to take our fifth wheel trailers to a rv park. My husbands cousin found sierra meadows and told me to call them for more information. I looked up reviews and was leery of the park because of the feedback, but we needed something almost last minute so we went with sierra meadows and Im glad we did. Secluded, nice views, showers and bathrooms were spacious and clean, laundry room was clean and air conditioned! Pool was very nice. Though the golf course was closed we wanted to walk and have the kids ride their bikes so we walked around the golf course and just soaked in the views and peace and quiet. All this within less then 5 minutes of our campsites. We had paid up for 5 nights but my sons team lost their tournament and my neice got real bad sick so we had to cut our stay short, the management was great, refunded us our last night and talked with my husband and his cousin for a little bit and told them they had just bought sierra meadows rv park a little while ago and was still working on the place and if we had any suggestions to let them know. Nice management, nice place away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Recommended this place to my friends and family that like to get away for peace and quiet but still have a great place to stay
Not that many facilities, shower and toilet clean. Pool and gym are a 20 dollar extra vip service, good location if the parks in yosemite are booked, but dont expect more than a parking lot. Nice staff and good wifi. If you intend to play golf its a much better deal. 18 hole greenfee included in the rental, good deal.
So cute! Easy check in and out procedure, the mini store at check in was a nice surprise and very welcome with reasonable prices if you dont want to head back out in the evening if you forget essentials. Stayed here for yosemite which was a bit of a drive but beautifuk
I visited Sierra Meadows Ranch solely for a tasting for Willow Creek Catering. My experience should not be representative of an actual event, unless it is so catered by Willow Creek. I can say that the food was delicious and made with high quality ingredients by a professional chef who takes pride in her work.
The place itself was very nice (almost too nice) for the type of small musical campout event held here. Half the reason i go to campout parties is to hear electronic music outside under the stars. Music and djs were only allowed to play inside the clubhouse between 10pm and 6am here
Perfectly signposted and easily reachable both from Fresno and from the coast through the scenic route 600, which I liked a lot. The village has bungalows and small huts called cabin, where I then stayed: they are very comfortable small rooms, complete with fridge, kettle, air conditioning and a small selection of coffees, teas and infusions. There is a lot of quiet, the bathrooms for the cabins are public, but I found them very clean and with a policy attentive to prevention from Covid. There is the possibility of using the bikes provided by the management to reach the pool and the surroundings. Excellent organization and customer focus. The gas station and supermarket are in Oakhurst, 10 minutes and access to Yosemite (Wawona rd.) 45 minutes. To Yosemite Valley 90 minutes.
For those looking for an authentic cabin-staying experience, this place is perfect. The cabins are clean and super cozy. The landscape is perfect. The receptionist who received us was very friendly and helped us with local information. Check-in is quick and easy. I found it very nice that they have some amenities in the room, such as coffee beans, coffee grinder, tea, cream... anyway, I would definitely return to this place.
Room cleaning, bathroom kit with bathrobe, air conditioning, extreme tranquility. They send you a few days prior to mail the code to open the room and the bathroom. It is therefore not necessary to physically check-in or check-out. The place is a bit isolated and surrounded by a forest. The bathroom is shared and only two toilets could be a problem in the case of maximum attendance (I did not ask if there is another bathroom area). I spent after dinner in the company of a family of rabbits a few meters from entrance to my room.

2022-04-16I was visiting Yosemite with my dog, and this was a wonderful place for the two of us. It was very dog friendly, with lots of areas to walk. There is an entire retired-golf course that is now a huge meadow that guests can walk through, with scenes of rolling hills, a small stream, some sculptures. I stayed in one of the small micro-homes (sans bathroom) and it was super clean, just perfectly sized and cozy--with a heater and A/C, nice little patio too and tons of sunlight. The shared bathrooms were well kept and there is even a faucet with filtered drinking water, so pack up a reusable water bottle before going! There is also a private parking spot in front of each little cabin, which is quite convenient. All in all--would highly recommend, great amenities, friendly staff (available 1-9 PM), and beautiful property with cozy cute cabins.

2022-01-10I have nothing but great things to say about this place! It was a last minute booking for our spontaneous trip to Yosemite. Check in was done online and the cabin number and door code was provided through text. The host was really quick in responding to texts whenever I had any questions. We stayed in cabin 02. So adorable and clean. It had a queen bed and some bunk beds and it accommodated 3 of us perfectly. It had everything we needed from teas and coffee to games and dishes/utensils. I can’t wait to come back again in the summer! Price, location, and comfort was just right.

2022-04-06I love bringing my dogs here! A quick drive and beautiful area! Very dog friendly waking paths and off leash areas! The family cabins were perfect to throw the dog beds down on the floor for the dogs to be comfortable. I can’t wait to visit here again! Also a bonus, if you have a Tesla there are destination chargers in the park and nearby to use! Great for charging up to explore the area each day you are here. Off season prices are reasonable, it does get cold at night but the cabin stays very comfortable.

2022-04-07Sierra Meadows was the perfect stay for us in a Tiny Cabin. I recommend booking directly through their website instead of Airbnb, so that there is no service fee. As well, the unit seemed untouched and brand new to us. The complimentary local coffee was amazing and all amenities were perfect (Hot water, A/C, heater). The property was quiet at night with plenty of soothing wildlife noises.

2022-04-19The cabin was very nice to stay in and looked really new. Parked the car right next to the cabin which was very handy. Toilet/shower area was as clean as everything else. Great place to stay. It was a bit expensive during the weekend though. Would recommend! Thanks for having us!

2022-06-17Our stay at Sierra Meadows was nothing short of MAGICAL. Cabin perfection, acres and acres of beautiful nature to explore including a wilderness-reclaimed golf course which is now something between a green and gold wonderland and a spectacle of re-wilding in process. But best of all, were the team of incredible, warm, magic-infused people who run the show there. They took care of us so well and gave us an experience we will never ever forget. We feel like we truly have a Haven in the mountains and cannot wait to spend time there again. Absolute stellar humans and an exceptional place. Thank you Sierra Meadows and love to Scott, Darren, Dyv and all the other staff and personnel at Sierra Meadows. We will be back! Love Billy and Hilary

2022-05-08My friend and I stayed at Sierra Meadows in a microcabin for two nights to run the Yosemite half marathon. It was perfect! Exactly what we needed in terms of space and amenities. The accommodations were quite clean and well taken care of. Also the POOL is resort quality and was such a nice treat post race. Thank you Sierra Meadows :))

2022-02-21This place was clean private and in a wonderful location if your looking for the California west mountain experience. We are from NY so we loved it. Cabins have the perfect feel to them we felt we were only ones on property. Staff super friendly. We will certainly be back.

2022-02-08This place is awesome! The road to get there seems sketchy but in reality it’s just long. There was no key required. The cabins open via number combination. The 2 bedroom cabin we stayed was so cozy and it offered everything you can possibly want. It didn’t have a tv so you’ll have to play games and talk to each other. Big deal lolThis place doesn’t offer fire pits so that was a downside. But I guess they are following county regulations. The free bikes make up for not having the fire pits. You’ll love exploring the old gold course. All in all it was quiet and peaceful and everything was well kept. Cabin #9 is very cool. I Will have to check out some of the smaller ones in the future. Definitely a must if you’re visiting Yosemite National Park.

2022-02-26One of the best air bnb’s we ever stayed in! I would definitely come back if we are ever their again. The room was clean, bed was comfy, easy check in and check out! Loved it!!
