Beautiful property! The most spacious apartment I’ve ever lived in! I lived upstairs and my vaulted ceilings made everything feel so open! Very happy living there
My wife and I moved into one of Sablewood Gardens Duplex units. The unit was brand new so the quality was very nice! We loved the granite countertops and nice size living space. It honestly felt like living in a house. The neighborhood was very quiet and couldnt hear any road noise. The neighborhood was full of families and was a very nice place. The grounds were always kept very nice. When my wife and I decided it was time to purchase a home the staff was friendly and accommodating on getting us moved out even though our lease was not up. The only bad thing I can say is that at one point our water heater went out over a winter weekend (with low temp around freezing). I tried contacting the emergency maintenance telephone line and couldnt get through to anyone. It wasnt until the office opened on Monday that I finally got a response. Mildly frustrating but they apologized profusely and repaired the unit shortly there after, we had 4 or 5 days without hot water.All in all. Very nice place to live and would recommend to anyone.
Apartments are in nice shape. Pool and BBQ area was in great condition. Everything is brand new. The apartments did seem to be build cheap though. I was the first to live in the unit and the towel rack kept falling off the wall, screws were coming out of the ceiling, and the heater never worked. I found cut copper wires in the carpet for months. Neighbors were extremely loud and had to complain 5+ times to office for blaring music at 6am. The gate never worked right. The freaking fire alarms went off like 3 times in the middle of the night! It is in a great area though. Not a lot homeless or dumpster divers in the area. Great size and shape for the $.
Staff is friendly and professional. They have diffrent forms of communication, so if a phone call is not for you and you prefer email, they definitely will do that. This community is stunning with all the luxury amenities. The price is amazing compared to other communities. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is nothing but exceptional. From initial visit, both staff members have been professional, hospitable and hilarious. They have taken the time to actually have a conversation that goes above there job requirements of just answering questions regarding the property. You dont feel as you are just another prospective tenant who is being rushed through the process. The grounds are very well kept, pool and bbq area is great. There is no shortage of lounge chairs and tables to rest. The BBQ area has 2 huge grills. There gym has more workout equipment than most apartment locations and are open very early for those of us that like the Am Workout.
My roommates had an emergency with our living situation and Kim was able to get us in asap. She was super helpful and responded so quickly to anything that we needed! The apartments are so nice and is a safe and quiet environment!
I would not recommended this apartment complex to anyone. The apartments look nice on the inside but are built very cheap, the floors in the living room were slanted and would creak all over the apartment when you walked around.There was a ton of maintenance problems that popped up (leaky faucets, towel rack falling off wall, etc) even though we were the first residents residing there, and it took maintenance forever to come out and fix them. And on top of that, I would schedule specific appointments and they would show up anytime they pleased, hours different than when they said theyd be there.The gate had a ton of problems. At first we had a gate code which was fine, but then they took away the gate code and gave all of the residents clickers which didnt even work half of the time, causing a huge buildup of cars outside the gate. It also meant whenever you had a guest, you had to go open the gate for them. The gates also continuously got stuck halfway closed, blocking cars from entering or exiting.The playground area for kids was closed off and continued to be closed off for months without explanation.There was multiple incidents of vandalism and trash thrown everywhere in the pool area.There was an incident where somebody egged and shot paintballs in an area of the apartment complex, getting all over the sidewalk, street, on multiple cars, and shot onto the patios of some of the downstairs apartments.The managers in the office almost never answer the phone and are not very helpful at all.Halfway through my lease, I wanted to add an additional resident, filled out all of the paperwork to do so, they paid $30 for a credit/background check and we NEVER heard back about adding them on to the lease. And we know that she should have been approved as we already had a cosigner.They are very stringent about your return of deposit once you move out. In fact, they not only took our entire deposit but charged additional money on top of it even though our apartment was very clean and no major damage upon move out.This list can go on and on, but the final point is this; RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Expensive rent, built very cheap. I live on the bottom floor and hear my upstairs neighbors phone vibrate, I hear them walking around, I hear EVERYTHING. Even though the rules state no smoking, my neighbor smokes, typically I wouldn’t care but I have a newborn so it does bother me. No rules are enforced here. They say you can’t have dogs over 20 pounds, but I’ve seen plenty of big dogs. The gate is a POS. The gate also doesn’t have a code, it is open from 8-5 but if you have company come over or food delivered after those hours be prepared to walk to the gate with your opener. The gardener leaves a mess. Parking sucks. People come and dump trash in the dumpsters. Once again, everything is built extremely cheap. Very disappointing apartments. They do look nice from a distance.
Gates dont work. No pass code. Extra remotes cost $50.00, keep your receipt!! Trash area is trashed. Cheap. Tacky strip under carpet edge comes through. Look nice, but cheaply built. A/C unit had a lot of air leaks. No setback thermostat. Parking sucks. Be prepared for scratches and dents. Under new owners is the common excuse they will use on you. Be prepared!
Always pleasantly surprised when having to contact the office. They have always gotten back to me in time, and when a work order is put in they are on top of your issue and communicate with you.
When moving in they make you think you will have a gate code for your guest. But they dont give you one. And every time you have guest over you have to take your remote and open the gate for them. They say the gates are opened M-F 9-5 but this is not true. Oh and good luck trying to get them to come fix something in your apartment, you will be moving out by the time they get around to fix it.
Amazing property, beautiful units and a great location. Kim is super helpful. No concern is too small for her. Overall a much more doper place than my last residence.

2022-07-09We cleaned our apartment for almost 5hrs. Thinking they would at least return some of our 1k deposit not $35 bucks after we looked at the automatic $750 dollar paint job is ridiculous so we got back $35 dollars out of 1k and we know we cleaned and left the apartment in good shape if I wouldve known they were going to keep $750 out 1k I wouldnt ve even bothered cleaning it and wasting my time.

2022-02-24During a cold front my heater went out, Lexi and Brooke were both quick to get an HVAC guy out to my unit and have it addressed within hours of me submitting my online maintenance request. Im very satisfied with the response time.

2021-10-24My apartment is great. Put in a work order request and it was done in a day. Management team is always helpful and professional and will get back to you in a timely manner even when I know they must be crazy busy in there. Maintenance is always on it!Lexie the assistant manager moved me in and I honestly can’t say enough good things about her. She definitely made the whole process from the application to the move in day very pleasant and a breeze. Thanks Lexie!!!But yeah it’s honestly very homey inside the apartments and complex and location is also a major plus! Super happy

2022-01-17I been had a really bad experience on this apartment. My car window has been shacked twice time and this management has no security. I been complain here twice time they are not taking any responsibility and they don’t take any action either. This managers in the office they never answer the phone.They don’t have security here they need to install more cameras on the parking lot so we could be safe. Hopefully I will moved out very soon, because these apartment cost too much but no security👎👎👎👎

2021-11-17My husband and I applied to one of the apartments. Everything was good with getting back to us through email. Sent a deposit, due to my husband militarys orders we arent able to move into the city of Bakersfield. My husband and I didnt move forward with any paperwork and let the property management know before the 72 hours. Before deposit isnt refundable ( states on there paperwork) all communication stop from there end after we canceled. Sent out two emails in regards getting out deposit back and we havent heard from them back since. Attempted to call numerous times,good luck on getting ahold of them. Very unprofessional from there side of the end. Can’t even get an update on my refund

2021-08-06The management at this complex is an absolute joke. Good luck getting someone to answer the phone or respond to an email in a timely manner, or even at all. The office is never open when it’s supposed to be. It took 4 days to even get management to acknowledge my maintenance request for a broken water heater in the dead of winter. The walls are paper thin, I could hear my upstairs neighbor talking on the phone. The pool and gym were closed 90% of my lease without any compensation.
