This is a beautiful park with a lot of scenery and a trail, a family friendly atmosphere, and a great park to experience a bit of nature, on my walks I see rabbits and birds and butterflies and in the evenings sometimes bats. Summer nights are perfect for evening walks.
This park is amazing! So much character. Very well kept and super clean. I love all the old school exercise equipment they have, who needs a gym membership when you can use theirs for free! I would Definately recommend this park to everyone!! Family friendly too.. there are picnic benches,, play area for kids and a splash pad area too!! I love this park
Great park, for walkers, roller skaters, bike riders there are distance markers which is awesome. There is a community garden that you can buy a plot in to grow seasonal veggies. There is a playground for the little kids. If people would pick up their dogs poop from the grass areas that would be nice.
The space is amazing but three most important aspects: there is no shade at all!! its way too open! theres sooooo many bugs at night its discusting!! last but not least theres no lighting.. they need to make it more lit up especially when the times change. other than that its an awesome park for family!
This is an awesome park. They have different events through the year including the fourth of July firework show! They also have a community garden that for a low price per year, you can plant anything you desire. This park is clean and the people are friendly. Great place to excersise and bring the kids.
Pretty park right below Mount Roubidoux. Has basketball courts, enough space for soccer and football practice, batting area for baseball and is nice easy walk all around. The playground area is great for toddlers and kids. It has a lot of parking space even for the hikers. It looked clean all around and even with a lot of people there it seemed peaceful and spacious. One of my favorite parks!
We got to Ryan .B. park by accident. I was looking for a spot to park to walk the trail nearby. It had just gotten dark but, it looked huge. Big parking lot. 6 basketball courts fully loaded with players and music. Many ppl walking around getting exercise. It felt safe so we parked by the playground close by there are the restrooms and yes it was clean and had soap. It looked like the park was built along a hills that surrounded it. My children found kids to play with right away. They had so much fun! We made plans to go again later this week! I cant wait to see everything in the daylight. Ill take some pix.
I travel here for running and Im never disappointed. Distance runners! You can park here and run to most parts of DT River side with ease. It offers a 1 mile loop trail that I use for warm ups/cool downs. You can run long flat bike trails or steep up hill trails on Mt Rubidox. Theres even a small lake to run around 3 miles away. Its also a clean and safe park. I leave my vehicle parked here for a few hours at a time and its never been messed with.
Great place from am to dusk to walk your dog, run, or chill. Big playground, baseball/soccer fields, basketball courts, lots of free parking, pay attention to signs when parking on streets. The main street on both sides of park offer parking, but no public parking in residential area. Come early to find a good parking spot. By 10 am, spots fill up daily! Park is located at the base of Mt Rubidoux.
I come here very often for runs. They have stamp marks on the side walk for 1 mile distances. The parking lot can get very packed towards the end of the day as people park come here to go up the mountain. I wish the running track was all cemented as there is a patch of dirt that has many holes and gets muddy during the rain. It can be dangerous if your running at night as you can accidentally fall into a small hole. Atmosphere here is great! Many vendors come here and there’s always people here playing sports, walking, and having a good time.
Awesome park. Beautiful views and it has a well lit basketball court, a big playground, walking track, baseball fields and a workout park. Something for everyone. The walking track has lights on it and the sunset there is gorgeous. The parking can be pretty bad on the weekends but they have a dirt parking lot a little bit further down and thats free. All around very fun experience and I come here with my family almost every weekend!
Visited here three times on my short vacation April 5th-8th, and I give my absolutely recognition to say that this park is the most MOST cleanest park Ive ever seen in my ENTIRE LIFE!! Great friendly people around...many of different cultural backgrounds and great close view of Mount Rubidoux!
Lots of open space to run walk or just breath! I loved it here! The park for the kids is different and the kids loved it. There were lots of families with small children enjoying the day here. The restrooms were clean and stocked when we got there and I wish I had brought my dog. She would have loved to run around here! Not alot of shade tho. So maybe not so great for really hot summer days ;)
Park has parking for the entire city. Grass like the one you destroyed with your slip and slide as a kid. Fun climbing and play areas for small kids and big enough for adults to chase them. Baseball fields and basketball courts are immaculate. Covered picnic area with benches convenient for kids bday parties. Dont bring grills. Ice cream guys are clockwork in the afternoons. Bring a soccer ball or frisbee, throw a blanket down and relaaaaaxxxxx.
Great place to go. They have water fountains, bathrooms, playgrounds, a lot of parking, and is very close to Mt. Rubidoux. It is also very close to the Santa Ana river trail. Some people just come to walk around the park, which seems to be very long walk, i estimate it could be at least 1/2 mile to go around the park.
Great for any outdoor activity. Includes 2 full court basketball areas, two baseball fields, two picnic and bench areas, lots of grassy space and tons of parking. Only problem is that the parking often gets very full because it is the only parking available for Mt.Rubidoux
This park is really big and clean and has a lot of parking. Sits right below Mt. Rubidoux and has a very nice walking path, even has miles markers along the way and a small area with built in workout equipment. Plus it is a huge hit with kids as there is a pretty large playground and baseball diamonds. I love walking my dog along the path, and my favorite section is right alongside a community garden. Its nice to look at the plots of land, and all the different fruit trees that line the path. Very enjoyable, with plenty of open grass areas.
This park has everything except for tennis courts. There are baseball fields, basketball court, soccer fields, open fields to play or fly kites, etc. There is a play structure for the kids. There are bathrooms on site. There is a trail that goes through the edge of the whole park, and takes you by a community garden. Although there is plenty of parking it gets very crowded because this is also where hikers park to go to Mt. Rubidoux.
The park is very large with many shaded areas to picnic and enjoy. The grounds have been cleaned and taken care of with a lot of greenery to enjoy . Park has many areas to BBQ and a lot of playground equipment for kids to enjoy. Minus one star for the Lakes being so dirty you are warned by signs not to eat. Thats just gross and sad.
This is the go-to place to park when hiking up Mt. Rubidoux so it gets ridiculously crowded in the parking lot in the evening. The park itself is great. The field are well kept, theres basketball courts, baseball fields, a lot of wide open grass, benches, a play ground, and a walking/running track. Its a great park for a lot of different activities.
Amazing park!! The park is extremely large and there is a ton of stuff to do here. There is a baseball park that kids play baseball, as well as a place to play soccer, several play structures, as well as workout material. There is also a loop around the park to run. It’s a wonderful park that I would for all ages, and provided a wonderful place for my friends and I to have a picnic.
Best place to ride bikes. It gets crowded right before sundown and then parking can be hard to find. This park is at the base of Mt. Rubidoux and provides easy access to it. Really nice view of Downtown Riverside after dark from the top of Mt. Rubidoux. My first choice in a park.
Clean park . Hoop court surface very nice. Not crowded ....multiple courts. Nets intact. Very good place to jog, work on basketball skill sets. Used this park for 1 on 1 training with a international pro player for my 16 year old son. Great place to walk, run, jog, exercise your dog, play pick up basketball - lighted courts ! Drinking fountain a few feet of courts !
This park has some great memories for me. For one I have always loved the name/word Knickerbocker and to see it as street blew me away. The trail itself is amazing and I loved doing something out of the normal. I was blessed to have my sister with me and that made it even better. #MYSISTERISBETTERTHANYOURS
Nice place to take our newly adopted dog and get her used to human and dog activity. Theres great models of dog-owner partnership for her to see. 1 mile walking route is paved and well lit. Great activity at the base of Mt. Rubidoux. Athletics fields are wide and available for use. Great plant life and well kept grounds. Nice.
Really nice park. Clean and well maintained. The playground is great for little ones and older kids. Parking lot can be crowded from all the hikers head up to Mount Rubidoux but there are plenty of spaces and I havent seen it full yet. The only bad thing Ive noticed are the irresponsible pet owners that let their dogs do their business, even on the sidewalk, and dont bother to clean up after them.
This park can be used as parking to access mt rubidoux trails, or you can walk around which is about a mile. The bathrooms are very clean and they add re open early in the morning. It also has a very nice playground for young and older kids. Is very open space for the kids to run without worrying about them getting into trouble.
Nice City park with a combo of paved and dirt paths that skirt the out edges of the parks space. Basketball courts. Baseball diamonds. Fitness challenges. Public gardening space. Plenty of runners, walkers and families. Very nice playground equip for the kids. Dogs allowed on lease (please bring your own bags and clean up after you canine, thanks).
Used to walk my dog whenever were in town. Its a rather large park not far from downtown Riverside, close to Mt. Rubidoux. The park has two baseball diamonds, four basketball half courts, paved walking path, cross training station, very nice playground for kids & bathroom and picnic tables.
This place is hit and miss. Wknds are very over crowded. No parking, even on the street. Sometimes homeless hanging out. But R.P.D. is usually good about patrolling the area and keeping them out. Other times I have been there and it is clean, very well manicured, people walking their dogs and kids playing. The playground area is very clean. Bathrooms are always clean. They have a community garden for locals. And recently they have put a painted rock garden that is pretty cool to check out.
New park with good parking, lighting for night time activities and clean picnic areas. A one mile loop is good for walking or jogging. Adjacent to Mt. Ribidoux. Basketball, soccer and baseball fields. Something for everyone. Feels safe. Nice landscaping. Probably Riversides nicest park.
Its a nice park but it gets very busy and then have a hard time finding a parking spot. Some people have no courtesy either. Everytime I go, I spot people taking up 2 spaces and then I have to circle the lot 5 times waiting for another one to open up. I should t have to park a block away. So Parking is really the only issue, everything else it alright. Its just a very active park and it closes at 10pm.
Like this park because it is one mile around and its marked. Has a big parking lot so I always find parking. Its walking distance from Mount Rubidoux so after my 1 mile run I either hike or run Mount Rubidoux. Bathrooms are always clean. The bathroom water is hot which is good and theres always toilet paper and soap. Very well maintained park.
Large public park for kids and adults all ages with plenty of extras too, Located near a wildlife corridor, its quiet, clean and full of families and singles of all ages. Hikers, bikers, joggers and walkers all enjoy it all week long. Best place to park if visiting with Mount Rubidoux. Plenty of parking and a great place to enjoy the fourth of July fireworks or throw a special event or party. It gets a lot of sun so bring an umbrella or if staying a while, tents etc. There are covered spots for eating and gathering however.
Found this place only because I was looking for a place to park while I walked up Mt. Rubidoux. Its less than 1/4 from the entrance of the trail. The park itself has a rather large, free parking lot. Very clean place. There is a baseball/softball diamond...at least 4 full-court basketball courts...a paved trail around the park that you could use a running course...a mulch-lined playground for children with MORE than ample jungle-gym equipment and swings. Restrooms are spacious and clean (at least they were on Sunday) but the mens only had one toilet and a pisser. At least 3 or 4 covered picnic areas. Chill little spot.
Was there for a all star ballgame. Riverside ballparks overall are some of the best in the nation with restrooms, landscape and construction of fields and bleachers. They dont t build the cheapest way but for the long term. Parking can be a problem as popular Mountain hike is right next door.
The modern park is host to a great many activities. There are baseball/softball diamonds, lots of space to kick the ball around or organize a game of touch football. Groups of enthusiasts regularly get together for organized workout drills. All in the shadow of the iconic Mt. Rubidoux. Which reminds me, this great park, and the parking lot, often act as a staging area to the throngs that climb up the Mountain via the well kept, organized and paved trails. This is a true local treasure.
Low Desert Roadrunners hosted a Zombie Volkswalk from 8-12 on Saturday Nov. 2. We had 30 walkers. One came from the Central Coast to participate in our event. We started near the restroom and had our Zombie Jeep in the parking lot. We mapped out a 5 and 10 route. We walk for Fun, Fitness and Friendship. The park has winding walking paths, and multiple sports games were taking place. This is an Awesome Sports Park. Something for every age group.
I have been coming to this park for decades. They keep it real clean. The homeless people here speak mainly to themselves and wont bother you too much. They are great builders and if you visit you will see some amazing structures theyve built from garbage! Very crafty. On one occasion, while watching my son play baseball, I was able to witness 2 tweekers go into the restroom together with a back pack and come out 15 minutes later. They were high as our taxes! Good times :)
Nice park at this time with the Covid 19 and areas being closed, There is a little bit more traffic on the street and in the parking lot where some people park cars to go up to Mt Rubidoux or walk around the park. They have baseball fields, a playground and public bathrooms. They also have plenty of handicap parking spaces. There is also an area called the Tesquesquite Garden where people have rented plots for $40 a year and paid a $10 membership. Water and compost are provided for the plots at no additional fee for members growing vegetables and plants.
Wide open spaces at this park for jogging, walking, playing catch with football and I mean long deep passes. Excellent fitness equipment for pull ups, sit ups, climbing, push ups and arm dips. Clean and safe restrooms. Free parking and patrolled regularly by Riverside City Police Department.
Ryan park is nice if you like a long flat park with lots of open space . not a lot of shade I like it lay in the grass looking at mt rubidoux and get lost in the clouds. There is a couple of play structures for kids but it is designed more for sports and outside activitys . a good place to go after hiking mt Rubidoux and the restrooms are nice and clean.
Its nice. A decent sized walking path encircled it. Theres a playground with covered concrete benches and tables, baseball field, open space to play soccer and basketball court. Its got bleachers and plenty of parking (plenty of lights turn on at night). You can access the Mnt Rubidoux walking trail from there too!
This is a large part that is very near to most of Riverside. It is a good place to park for the home up mount rubidoux there is a lot of parking however a lot of people park here so the parking lot is often close to being full. Great place for families it anyone to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
No shade!!! It was crazy hot. Take a canopy because you will need it. Maybe nicer on cooler days. Only one shed area where we were with like 6 tables. Restroom was nasty with used tissue on the floor. You do hace to secure this early if you need the space for the day, but you pay to reserve it during holidays.
Park has a walking/running path in a one mile loop. Exercise equipment, playground equipment, picnic tables, baseball diamond, dog exercise area, and plenty of open grassy area. Also drinking fountains and restrooms. Easy close access to walk up Mt. Rubidoux as well. Plenty of parking.
Nice park very clean. Riverside PD is great at making their presence on a frequent basis. I use the bike trails and ride to norco where the trail ends. And often ride to San Bernardino off waterman ave where the trail ends as well. Trail is always clean and safe. Homeless are present but not very common. Park restrooms are pretty clean as well. Great safe park especially considering the park was a vacant piece of land where people disposed of their trash and many homeless resided on that land before the park was developed. Another impressive recreational addition by the city of Riverside. And is named after a riverside PD officer who was brutally murdered. A+
I enjoy running around the park. The pavement around the park marks distance. I do about 4 miles. The only thing I dislike is the dirt portion but Its there because of the nursery area. Its huge! Great for play baseball, softball, they have basketball courts, the cute little nursery, even a workout area. The only thing it lacks is tennis courts! If yout around Mt. Rubidoux go for a run at the park!
It was very difficult to find a good parks in any city.. for me I found myself. Looking around .before I came back To Riverside parks long ago..whenever it was Trashed them letting them go?.?so when I came back together city of Riverside cleaning up the parks and parking lots as well...keeping it UP??, I lived in Riverside county for a very long time . When you get older. Person in the Golden years .it means more to us. Who lives are here ..my TAXE DOLLARS. ARE GOING FOR THE GOOD ...THANKS.. CITY OF OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY

2022-01-10I use the park to walk my dog, she loves it and it helps get me some exercise. The park is well maintained. I appreciate the doggy waste bags so I can clean up after my dog. During the week the park is pretty peaceful but on the weekends you will see lots of kids and families enjoying the park.

2022-02-07Very nice park. Nice ball fields. most of all for my wife and I is the overall cleanliness. Even the rest rooms at about 3pm on a Sunday afternoon were not what you come to expect. No graffiti at all in them. They had warm water and soap. I think this is a testimony to an excellent maintenance crew. Thank you for your hard work

2021-04-08This located near the base of Mount Rubidoux and where most people park to walk it. If you are just starting to walk and the Mount is too challenging, this park has a nice easy walking trail. Some is soft dirt and other is cement. We’ve had several gatherings there and had a nice time. There are playgrounds for the kids, plenty of grassy area for games, ball diamonds, basketball courts and bathrooms. One of the trails flanks a community garden. The members take really nice care of their gardens and it’s nice to walk by and take a look.

2018-05-05This park is great. Tons of open grass area for animals, picnics, and other family fun. Clean restrooms, a good amount of trash cans throughout. Decent parking for non-sport days here. The jungle gyms here my girls love.

2020-03-29I walk the 1 mile loop around the park almost everyday. Its clean and safe. Just wish the dog walkers would pick up after their pets.
