Cool spot. A little overpriced and always overcrowded on weekends, but the game selection is great and the drinks are really cheap. The wait time for bowling is usually very long and the claw machines feel like scams, but overall this place has been a great addition to Burbank.
This place is like a Next Level Dave and Busters. I dont think Ive seen a arcade this size before. It reminds me of Jillilans on city walk but bigger and better. They sell drinks, theres bowling, pool, and tons of games. Its expensive, but I understand why. The Variety of games here is insane. Its open until 2 AM for the adults.
This location doesnt seem to be as busy as the locations in Azusa or Lakewood, but if gas wasnt an arm and a leg Id probably still drive to Azusa. These are going to be oddly specific things, but theres 3 things I had qualms with 1. The mozzarella sticks tasted like savory stuffed pancakes 2. There are definitely less claw machines (I think the location itself is smaller) 3. The karaoke rooms are bigger, but theres only 2 I believe so the wait is at least 2 hours. Having said that, I would still go here over Dave and Busters.
Much better than the Puente Hills location (note that the game cards from that location dont work here).A LOT more claw games, UFO catchers & other skill games with MUCH better prizes in them, but beware that they are TOUGH so youll probably need multiple tries to win your favourite anime characters.
Update: 2 Stars since the AC in the Bowling Alley has been broken for over a month now. Management needs to fix this ASAP as the air gets stagnant very fast.[Original Outdated Review]First time back to bowling after the COVID crisis was here at Round 1. Even though I was simply eager to knock down some pins down, this center looked like it had more than that (bowling) to offer. There are only 8 lanes but availability did not seem to be an issue as I am a weekday bowler. Lots of arcade machines including rare ones but they werent available due to the Health Restrictions although they are slated to open soon though. Prices for bowling and billiards are relatively low especially when you compare them to other centers in the valley (Cough Cough Pinz Cough Cough) Even the food seemed more than reasonably priced as well($2.99 Pizza Slice and 99 cent ice cream too).Upon making my purchase, the staff were kind and super friendly in helping me get set up and understand the atmosphere. Daily and hourly challenges allow for skilled bowlers to earn prizes while creating a fun environment. Lanes are spaced out to promote social distancing in a responsible manner too. The seating area for the bowlers is comfortable and has a wide table which even has charging outlets for devices. This already excedes any bowling center I have visited thus far in my 8 years of playing this sport. Definetly will be returning here not just for the fair pricing and the bowling but for the great atmosphere the courteous staff create as well as the other amenities they offer.
The games are up to date and use a card swipe system. Its a great hang out place for kids and grown ups alike. They also have billiards and bowling. Their member ship app is still it in the works . With the app they need to implement checking your remaining balance on cards.
The establishment is Clean and offers plenty of games for kids. Be careful with the shop you redeem your points at though, they mislable the points on merchandise and then make your kids feel bad when they wont honor the posted amount. True shame considering the experience was good otherwise
I have to say THANK YOU to mainly Brandon, who worked during the times my family and I were there… Sunday 01/23/2022 6:30 PM - Close.Great experience doing karaoke while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive at Round 1. lasted 2 hours, so worth it if you want to do karaoke.Afterwards, he was very considering on letting us know regarding the waitlist & how we might not end up getting a billiard table. So he had us on the waitlist for bowling… there was 6 people ahead of us, but it only took 10-15 mins to confirm that we were able to bowl too! (Because we purchased arcade cards incase we might have waited too long til bowling, but ended up being a faster wait than expected.)So thank you, for checking up to see if the 6 people ahead of us were present & sending a text alert asap letting us know our bowling table was ready. That’s really great service, especially caring for people who’s willing to be on the waitlist because we really wanted to bowl. What’s even greater was that we only had less than an hour left to be able to play our last bowling game, he was nice enough to ask us about splitting the lanes so it’s faster for us to finish our game. (Did a whole girls vs boys) which made it a fun the end of our night.I told Brandon, I would want to right a review, there wasn’t a specific round 1 on yelp for this location. But I’d like to say It was very great service and I thank you for working that way. It was my fiancé’s last night here in California, he’s leaving for 5 months out of state for work. So I thank you so much for being such a great employee, it was very memorable for us.Definitely recommend going to this Round 1 location. Instead of driving far for the other locations. They are new for maybe by couple years, not too sure… but the service is great and they know what they’re doing.Thank you again Brandon!
Me and my friends had so much fun. We won plushies and anime figures. Had a good laugh with the manager(helped me win) and the employees “helped” reset the claw machines so I could win. I can’t wait to go back. The grand opening had me so hyped up. I even yelled “profesional” after winning. (The manager helped) 😂 Go check them out, you’ll love the new foreign games, the bowling, karaoke, and food. Will definitely come next weekend.
Biggest, coolest arcade I have ever been to.It has every game I could ever want/imagine.Lots of interesting photo booths, claw machines, a small bowling alley. It was like Dave and Busters, but I do not think they had booze. And it had way better games. It definitely has something for everyone. And churros, so that was exciting.
Over all a pretty standard arcade and not much to get excited about. The claw games are abysmal, poorly designed and bad even by claw machine standards. They have such a low chance even for experienced players.Nonsensical methods to the machine and if you win you have to actually wait for an attendant to get your price(this may take awhile) over all not a very fun experience for kids.Over priced and unfair, save your money for a better area.
Horrible place for birthday parties! Very disorganized, no one helps you pass the food and drinks. Had to keep asking them for stuff like plates and cups. You only get 1 refill for drinks. They say group photo but had to ask them to take it and picture is nothing special, I couldve taken it myself. Would not recommend for birthday parties, I wish I never had my daughters party there and wish I could get a refund.
Played and won a 250 tickets jackpot on a machine. Realized it didn’t add tickets to my card. Went to talk to the employees by the prize area to help. We stated we were okay if they couldn’t credit us the tickets but at least credit us for the points we’ve used to play the game. Instead of quickly solving this issue, they made us waited 30 mins for a mechanic to come see what’s “wrong” with it. Employee handled the situation in a poorly and rude manner. Had to ask them three times just to have a mechanic come check the machine. Avoid this Round1.
Okay, I’m not a big fan of arcades because, face it, it’s a lot of money for the worst prizes that you can literally purchase for less than $5 online or at the 99 cents store. The point of taking your kid to an arcade is really very clear, just for them to enjoy the games. I get it. But this place is over the top expensive. 2 visits were $170 and although some games are very fun, the majority of them are found in any other arcade place. The claw machines are the worst! They literally are a huge waste of money and time. For $170 my daughter got a table tennis kit, a mini LED disco light that already broke, and a couple of small squishy stress ball stuffies. So, just remember that the over priced games are worth it only if your kid has fun, which mine did.The only cons is that the female Asian manager at the card game booth is not patient with questions, the table tennis kit was marked at a specific price on display and a more expensive price at the cash register (they didn’t honor that), the bathrooms are disgusting and aren’t cleaned daily!!! I went into that bathroom 3 days apart and it was filthier than the first time, and some of the same mess was still there! The food is expensive so we just eat at the food court. On the plus side, 99 cent ice cream!
The machines. If you don’t know the technique for most of it, you will just end up wasting money. Personally i have the techniques down, but the prizes are lowkey trash. I saw this poor family wasting like 300 credits on this stuffed animal. Each credit is like worth 25 cents. Sometimes the workers make it impossible to win some of the claw games. Hopefully this helps?
I feel bad for the employees the company should care more for their staff and have them work until 11pm not 2am thats crazy bad magement poor 😞 staff I feel sorry for them to have to be there until 2am especially when you have bad awful costumers the staff should get more credit
Everything is open! Arcade games all on and playable. Also Bowling, billiards and Karaoke. Oh my! Make sure to try the Shake It seasoned fries, they are delicious after an hour of playing games! Ice cream really good too. Great times finally after a year of being closed!
They literally just mashed a bunch of arcade machines together and called it an arcade place. Its price for arcades are higher than normal and the staff just dont want to work. You can easily tell from the expression of their face when you talk to them. If it wasnt for the pool table and bowling I would have given this a 1 star. I am just utterly disappointed.Edit: I changed my mind, this place deserves a 1 star for how messy and unprofessional the place is.
I came to this location this evening and it was very clean. I’m assuming a lot of people don’t know it’s open yet because it wasn’t crowded at all. The food does seem to be expensive, but they do have .99 cent ice cream scoops. Games are cheaper here than at Dave & Busters. I would definitely come back here.
Extremely uncoordinated staff team. They aren’t cleaning the equipment I have gone 3 times so far and never seen staff cleaning the games. Horrible covid management.Did karaoke and 2 times in row a staffer without knocking came into the room unannounced, and the second time he came inside the room unannounced and interpreted us by asking questions makes it extremely uncomfortable, I’ve been to many karaoke rooms and never had staff barge in my room without knocking first.Everyone seems to dislike their jobs.Only two staffers actually had nice personalities and good customer service the ticket prize girl and the white guy who restocks the crane machines he made jokes and had a great personality with guests.Gave this round1 three tries and they are unorganized, not flowing covid cleaning rules, and an uncomfortable experience will not be returning.
They need to work on there costumer services and responding back to emails. I contact them 1 week ago regarding party room via email never got a respond , I then went in person the person in charge wasnt in was inform they will contact me as well nothing happen . I high dont recommend to do any kind of party since nobody gets back to you . When you actually call them they are rude at least the person I spoke to .
Worst place everI came at 10pm and at 10:35pm all the games were closing this is unacceptable and to round it up I was buying the card to play games and they told me that we had to hurry it up because they had to shut down the machine. If all the games are close at 10:35pm there website should say they close at 10:35pm and not 11pm. Plus a employee didn’t even know how to work the machine when he was shutting it down his name was Fernando learn how to do your job Fernando.
So grateful to have the arcades open again, thought we were entering a dark age with the worsening state of the pandemic but Round1 persevered! 2 DDR machines, PUMP (though it’s down at the time of this review) and a multitude of other rhythm games for all to enjoy. Also there’s bowling and pool and stuff.
Issues:1) We ask for 5 people to go bowling. The then rang us up for 16 people.2) When we were charged for the right amount of people, we were still charged for the wrong items.3) They put us in a lane that they knew was broken down. It broke down twice on us.4) The second time it broke, an employee told me that someone was working on it. We waited. 25 minutes later we asked for an update. The same employee said that the manager was trying to get ahold of the technician to fix it. So the employee lied to us.5) We only played 1 game, but paid for 2. We got there around 7PM and couldnt finish the first game until 10PM. We had kids, so we couldnt stay another 3 hours for the 2nd game and deal with the tech issues again. We then asked for a refund for only the 2nd game since we couldnt play it and they refused it. They wouldnt even give us store credit. Theyd only give vouchers for the two kids.I wanted to talk to the GM tomorrow about this to see what he can do for us and the manager wouldnt give me her name, nor the GMs name. She said it was company policy to not give out any managers names.Kenya was the name on the managers radio that we spoke to. So I will assume that is her name since she refused to give me her name.We will never go back there.
The employees here seem helpful if u have any issues u need help with. Unfortunatly the manager bartending at the time i was there is not to bright. I had already bought a pitcher of bear n istead of getting 4 cups i only got 3 and when i went back later to get another cup the dude was like u have to buy beer and wouldnt give me another cup. Also ur round one credits only work at this location so dont think u can use ur card at another round one. One star off for weard management and 1 for not bein able to use my credits at another round one. Round one can b lots of fun
This place sucked. idk what was going on with the claw machines. half of them were out of service, and i kid you not, the other half were just empty. no where near as good as it looked online, super disappointed. spent $20 on absolutely nothing. don’t even waste your time, it’s not worth it.
Very Surprise to see this Arcade with many Video 🕹 games and bowling 🎱 alley with pool tables 🪄and a Sports bar with Food.🍔🌭🍕..at the Burbank mall lower Floor, next to the Food Court....Amazing...Just keep bring the Best Video games and you will keep the customers coming back...
Extremely uncoordinated staff team. I showed up the first day of the opening for the Burbank location with a group of ten people or so. The arcade was okay but the staff designating which customers were in line to get their own personal bowling lane was very unorganized. My group had to wait over an hour and thirty minutes due to misunderstanding by the staff and miscommunication. Upon finally arriving to our bowling lane, it wasnt big enough for our group and the group next to us was just as big. The staff proceeded to attempt to move us to two lanes for our group but ended up assigning a different group to those two lanes and ended up miscommunicating again. We then wanted a refund and in which we did get and never got our vouchers. It is now April and I have been recharged my refund that was issued back in February.tl;dr - Unprofessional and unorganized staff at conflict resolving.
Very fun place to hang out with friends and family. There are plenty of fun Japanese games and a bowling alley as well as pool tables. The bowling and pool tables are usually a wait, but if you are willing to wait there are lots of fun games to play meanwhile. Good customer service. This location is open from 10am to 2am seven days a week. You can also book a party. They have food and soft drinks as well as a Bar station but if you are looking for something else there is a food court at the Burbank Mall just a few steps away from the arcade. Free and easy parking access from the Burbank Town Center parking structure. If you want to spend a pleasant time with friends or family, I recommend you visit this place, there is a wide variety of machines for both adults and children. Here you can play bowling and there are also pool tables. Here you can also buy food and drinks (regular drinks or beers) and if you fancy something else, you can go to the restaurants that are inside the mall just a few steps away. Parking is free and very accessible. This place is open 7 days a week from 10am to 2am.If you want to celebrate a birthday, you can also do it in this place, you just have to make a reservation.

2022-03-06More expensive than D&B but more diverse games and more unique point prizes than D&B. Especially some of rhythmic games can be only found in Round1.Claw machines…. it is VERY difficult to win prizes from them.

2022-05-07Im a mother of 5 and grandma of 10. Im here having fun enjoying this awesome place with family members. Younger than me of course. 😉 good place for the entire family. A little too loud, but again this place is big and it has a whole bunch of different entertainments. A bowling alley, pool tables, hockey air tables, and many many other great things to enjoy. Even food. Im coming back for sure.

2022-02-06Had a good time bowling. Partly ruined by young adults who refused to wear masks after repeated warnings. Stepped into our lane to take pictures of their dumb friends stopping us from our game in progress. They should have been ejected by management but manager did nothing . Will not go here again as most of the employees were rude when approached or could not care less about doing their job. Food is expensive so if you must go here eat first. No outside food or drink allowed. Be warned. Your money may be spent better elsewhere!!

2022-01-23Always have a fun time here. Lots of crane games, arcade games, racing, etc. Options for other activities like karaoke too. Personally prefer the city of industry better than this one, but they changed the hours and I was going before noon. Only downside is the credits to play games can get pricey and youre better off eating food elsewhere

2022-06-15Kids loved it. The many claw machines are awesome. This place has more arcade and claw machine games than boomers. Very fun. This one is located inside the mall which is a great location for eating or shopping before or after playing.

2022-05-28Its nice, fun, and clean arcade. Theres a lot of games and claw machines to choose from. Im really stoked about how much rhythm/music games they have in there. They also always have long wait times for bowling; about 2-2.5 hours. They might even close the waiting list for a while so be prepared for that.

2022-02-04Pretty solid arcade, but as someone whos pretty much only there for the rhythm games, the rhythm game lineup is currently a bit weak compared to other arcades, including other Round 1s in California. Most rhythm games here have 2 cabinets each, when most other arcades have more. Games like Taiko no Tatsujin and Pop n Music are completely absent. Hopefully the amount of rhythm games increase in the future. But other than that, pretty decent arcade.

2022-03-23Its a fun place to take the kids, hangout with friends or enjoy a date with a cutie. I just hate their point system with the tickets, lost my play card once with about 25,000 points and could never retrieve the points because strangely enough the card had a different phone number associated with my name . A name and phone number is a very weak way to keep track of the customers info. If they would ask for IDs and Birthdays Id be different.

2022-06-08The chicken wings and tenders are great. We love to get a scoop of ice cream. The games are so much fun and they keep adding new games and stuffed animals and prizes to win. We love going to Round one Burbank because its clean and lots of space to play and enjoy family time
