This will now be our go-to hotel for road trip stopovers in Barstow. It is conveniently located off the freeway, reasonably priced, clean, and is a family-owned/run smaller hotel. The breakfast consisted of a wide variety of options, including made-to-order eggs and waffles, pastries, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereals, yogurt, and all the breakfast beverage usuals. The facility is incredibly well maintained. The bedding appeared a bit older at the time of our visit, but it was not a distraction due to the other factors in this review, not to mention the genuine, friendly service and interaction with the owners.
This hotel is fantastic and fairly quiet. The pool seemed out of order when we were there but the free breakfast was hot and delicious. The owners are such kind and charming people and were fun to chat with. Would recommend this as your stop on the road through Barstow!
Reasonably priced rooms, and very clean! The hotel was very quiet - I had no problem getting homework done while I stayed here. Amenities for the single-bed room included DirecTV, WiFi, microwave, mini fridge and a GREAT working AC!This is a family-owned establishment, and the service was fantastic. My only regret is that I didnt make it to the complimentary breakfast provided by the owners in the early morning. This will definitely be my first choice whenever I am in the area!
We make regular trips between nor Cal and the southwest and so far this our favorite overnight spot. Rooms are clean, wifi and TV work fine and the location is surprisingly quiet. Big plus for us is the parking which is right outside your door and feels very secure..important since we always seems to have a ton of stuff in the car we dont want to pull into the room. Extra points for the Starbucks 2 blocks down the street that opens at 4:30 am so you can get an early start. The couple that runs the motel are as sweet as can be. Not sure about the breakfast since we always hit the road early
I can not say enough about the level of service provided by the manager for the one guest who left his stuff behind. I emailed the label to them, and they went to the Home Depot bought the box, packed it, applied the label, and dropped it at the UPS pickup location. The guest needed these items back to him as soon as possible due to the function he had to attend. He was able to get these items in a timely manner just because of a manager went above and beyond getting this done.
I really liked this hotel. It felt risky booking a room knowing there is no carpet so Ill probably hear people above me, and that its dog friendly so I might hear dogs barking for hours, but surprisingly none of that happened. It was a nice room, and yes, the breakfast was nice too as so many people have mentioned already (part of the reason I booked this). I personally dont like being talked to right when I wake up and eat breakfast, but having a nice person ask me a couple questions while they make my eggs wasnt a deal breaker. Oh I almost forgot about all the super cute way the towels were folded in my room. Ive never seen towels folded into an elephant before. Very creative. Ill definitely come back here if Im ever in the area again.
Positive: Near the freeway exit, clean and partially updated for an older family-owned hotel, and plenty of choices at the complimentary breakfast. And it¿s true¿the owner makes your eggs to order! Negative: Mattresses were comfortable, but I wished our beds had the heavier, fluffier white comforters as pictured in the hotel pics. Our beds had thin, maroon coverlets and a thin fleece blanket. Heater worked well, so we made do.
First things first. Customer service. Raj and his wife have owned this motel for 19 years. Did you catch that? I know his name. That tells you something right there. Raj was the one that checked us in and served us breakfast and whom we checked out with. The coffee was hot, the fruit was fresh, hard boiled eggs were on ice, and such a lovely assortment of bagels, cereals, oatmeals. He cooked up some waffles for us and had we wanted, he would have also made us eggs. Seriously, where do you get that kind of customer service at a motel these days?! Now, if youre looking for a fancy hotel, this isnt your place. If youre looking for a comfortable, feels more like home, clean place to lay your head, this is where to go!Side note, the parking lot is not for a truck and trailer. There is no outlet. Just park across the street in that huge parking lot. We had 2 trucks with 2 trailers. Raj told us they were perfectly safe there and he was right.Thank you Raj! If ever we need a place to stay in Barstow, your place is where well be!
After getting stranded in Barstow with car troubles, my uncle and I found the Rodeway Inn and have had the most wonderful experience. The owners, Roger and Nikki, went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They recommended local mechanics, helped us navigate the parts ordering process, and were incredibly flexible when we had to stay much longer than expected. They are an especially hardworking team, and clearly have the hotel managing process down to a science. The Inn itself was quite comfortable with all of the desired amenities - multiple wifi networks, a refreshing pool, functional gym, great beds, and the most impressive breakfast spread Ive seen. They singlehandedly turned an initially stressful and undesirable experience into a pitstop filled with great hospitality and comfort. Thank you immensely!
I always like a nice motel where you can park right outside your door. Makes unpacking and packing so much easier. The managers Roger and Nikkie were so very nice and helpful. My vehicle broke down and they did all they could including driving me around town to get parts. Try that at other places...wouldnt happen.
No frills, fair priced rooms with good customer service. The owners dogs can sometimes be found patrolling the area. In general, this part of Barstow felt safe. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning! Mini fridge worked, tv worked, AC worked, and the Wi-Fi worked.Zero complaints, and it’s dog friendly!! The perfect budget pit stop before Vegas.
Positive: We woke up late and only made breakfast with 15 mins to spare which was a terrible shame as it was the best breakfast you could wish for. Fresh fruit, eggs, muffins, waffles, toast etc. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. By far one of the best stayed in. Negative: Nothing.
This is definitely an older hotel, but they are trying to make it feel more updated. Unfortunately it just feels a little cheap, mismatched blankets on the bed and towels in the bathroom. But the staff was so friendly, nice and service oriented . They made eggs to order for us, had a lovely fruit salad at the breakfast bar, along with all of the usual hotel breakfast goods. Host encouraged us to sit and then serve us restaurant style.
Really enjoyed our stay here, absolutely fantastic last minute accomodations while on the road. Clean rooms, and some rooms have beautiful views of the mountains. We appreciate their pet friendly policy as we were traveling with our dog. The hotel also has two dogs who I think belong to the owners, and theyre really cute. We were here in November and saw them running around in matching Christmas sweaters!Other reviewers are right, the breakfast is probably one of the best parts. Fresh cut fruit, made to order eggs (or omelets) cooked fresh by hotel staff, plus variety of milks (including plant based like oat and almond) for cereal or oatmeal in addition to all your basics like toast, sweets, etc. made the free breakfast a real winner! Definitely the best hotel/motel breakfast weve had on our road trip so far.Would be more than happy to stay here again if we pass through Barstow.
Positive: The personalized service and hospitality. The owners were personable and friendly, and while being so, cooked us breakfast and spoke to us as if we were guests in their own home. Negative: Barstow is just kind of a dumpy town, so its not our favorite place to stay. But if you find yourself there and needing a room, you wont find a better room for 100 miles.
Very nice, friendly staff. Great room. Nice and comfortable & clean. Even have outlets on night stands, very helpful for charges camera, cellphones, etc for the next days adventures.Amazing breakfast, staff go the extra mile, fresh eggs made the way you like them, fresh cut fruit, nice spread.Recommend it.
The rooms were clean and updated, but it was the friendly hospitality of the husband and wife owners that was most impressive. They treated me and my large family as if we were guests in their own home; friendly accommodations, personal conversations, and cooking eggs and waffles for us in the AM! It was like the art of welcoming family hospitality from another time and place was resurrected for the day!
I was so pleased with this stay while traveling, that on my way back, I booked it a second time. The owner/operator remembered me. She was a very nice lady who takes pride in this property. There is parking right outside your room, the beds are comfortable and it is very clean. I am not pleased with the high traffic area it is in, but this Rodeway has courtyard parking so it felt safe. It was also very quiet considering where it was.
Im not a fan of Rodeways, but and I mean but, this is by far the nicest motel Ive stayed in. So clean and comfy. The owners are very kind and caring. They take pride in their establishment and you can tell. If I ever get back in the area will definitely stay.March 17 2021. Thank you for being available when we arrived. My husband and myself travel every single day and have stayed in a lot of different places and we loved this Rodeway ..
Due to a mechanical breakdown, it was necessary to book a room in Barstow. I chose the Rodeway Inn based on reviews and was not disappointed. The property is dated but our room was clean and well designed. I asked the front desk staff about security since my mom and I were travelling together. I was assured it was a safe place to stay.
The motel was very clean and had new linens on the bed. The owners have made many nice upgrades in the bathroom and the floor. We also appreciated the new wall lamps that made it easy to read. I have no hesitation about recommending this motel it is a nice place especially for the price.
We decided to spend one night in Barstow on our way home. We didnt need anything fancy - just a quiet and comfortable room. I chose Rodeway because the price was reasonable and the reviews were strong and consistent. The woman who checked us in (maybe one of the owners?) was friendly and helpful. Our room was fine. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The sink had a slow drain and the stopper wouldnt stay up, but we didnt get a chance to tell the front desk as we were only staying the one night. Breakfast was above average for motels like this. They make cook to order fresh eggs and had fresh fruit. The coffee was not good - probably instant. We felt safe and were pleased with the motel.
I have been staying at choice hotels for years now and this is by far the best Rodeway inn I’ve ever stayed. Most award winning comfort inn and suits ( flagship or top tier choice hotels) are not even close to the standards the owner has set for this place. This is not one of those motels you just stay over nights but the one you also enjoy!! Highly highly highly recommended!!!!!!!
Stopped for the night, exhausted after driving 3 days across the desert on the Mojave Rd trail. Wasn’t expecting much considering it was only $70 for the night, but was actually very surprised! We go upgraded from our king bed to a room with a kitchenette and the room was nicer than a Double Tree I stayed at a few days prior for triple the price. VERY clean inside with nice furnishings. Manager is strict about not smoking weed, but still worth it!
The rooms are remodeled and clean and the bed was comfortable. This place is far and above nicer than any of the other hotels we stayed at during this trip. Loved the friendly atmosphere, they even let our son visit with their dogs. The included breakfast has the added benefit of made to order eggs and waffles, which was an awesome perk and makes it more than your standard hotel buffet experience. It’s clear the family who owns this hotel takes pride in their business and go above and beyond for their guests. If we’re ever in the area we will definitely stay here again.
Front desk/ check-in clerk Nicky was very nice, welcoming, and helpful. She made suggestions about where to get coffee and gas, asked where I was going, and indicated what I might expect the drive to be like. Room was clean, roomy, very comfortable. Parking lot and environment felt very safe.
Im often a little hesitant to stay at Rodeways, since they tend to be at the bottom of the Choice Hotel totem pole. But Im so glad I took a chance on this one! The renovated rooms are *really* nice. The refrigerator is a decent size. There are bedside tables on both sides of the bed. There are plenty of electrical outlets and USB chargers. The sink countertop is large enough for plenty of stuff. The showerhead and water pressure are good. The AC and heater work well. Everything is super-clean. And to top it all off, the folks who run the place are really nice and friendly. Ive stayed here three times in the past three months or so as I pass through the area for work, and its been a great experience every time. This is definitely my new regular motel for Barstow!Oh, and as an extra bonus, its right across the street from Lolas Kitchen!
We LOVED our stay at the Rodeway in Barstow! The manager who checked us in was sweet and friendly and made sure we were safe and had a place to park. Our bed was comfy and the room was very clean. We also LOVED tHe dogs who greeted us both at night and when we checked out. 10/10 would stay here again.
My buddy and I needed a place to rest up after a long day moto ride and before a second long day moto ride in a large dual sport event from LA to Barstow to Vegas. This hotel in Barstow was perfect. A great rate; two queen beds; full kitchen; clean; safe; and serviced by two fantastic owners that were polite and helpful. Definitely the perfect way to handle our overnight needs in Barstow. Dennys was across the street and we had a terrific meal as well - better than expected. Other close by stores for us. This was a win.
Only booked for one night, and I was very satisfied with my stay. With the current state of the country, I was worried about cleanliness, but the room was very well cleaned. (You could tell with by the mild smell of cleaner left behind) The king size bed was extremely comfortable, and air condition worked beautifully. If you’re looking for a clean, newly renovated, and comfortable place to stay at a low cost, here it is. Oh and to add the owners were so nice and welcoming!
Great experience!! Room was wonderful! It was comfortable and clean! The place is definitely taken care of, the owners were wonderful! I asked the woman for directions to a store for a charger and she knocked on our door within a few minutes with a phone charger for my son! If were ever in Barstow again, well definitely be staying there!!
What a gem of a hotel. Newly renovated room, comfy beds, with a kitchenette in the back. The breakfast was phenomenal and the owner even made us real eggs in the morning instead of the powdered stuff. The owner is also extremely nice and recommended us a fantastic restaurant to eat at. Would definitely stay in this hotel again.
This is a great hotel! I was really impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the owner. The room had a good smell and the bed was soft and very comfortable. They serve breakfast and have a waffle machine, and really nice flavored coffee. The owner also greeted us and we had a nice conversation during breakfast. When I’m in the area again, I’ll definitely be staying here. I highly recommend this place, you won’t regret it!
Overnight stay on the way return from Grand Canyon trip. The room with full kitchen is exactly what we were looking for. The morning breakfast is very good and felt like pre covid times. We have stayed in other hotels during this trip where the grabngo breakfast is there with limited items. We got more than we were looking for the price paid.
Good motel for its price. We had the same experience with breakfast as already described, when the owner (or the general manager) was frying eggs and waffles for us. What a service! It is pets friendly, we stayed with our cat on the first floor with hard floors, which is very thoughtful. There is a fridge, microwave, a small table with a chair to have some dinner, and a flat TV.The room was clean.
I originally stayed in this hotel in the summer of 2016, choosing it based on a combination of Yelp review, price, and amenities offered. Yelp misled me; its far, far more wonderful than they indicated. I love this place, and my recent stay only made me love it more.Comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, clean, quiet room, refrigerator and microwave, a nice big TV (though I seldom watch TV), good wi-fi, and lots of places to plug in electronics... the night stands even have power plugs and USB charger plugs on the front! Very nice. I make beaded jewelry as a hobby, and the rooms have good lighting and desks for my beadworking. But what makes this hotel stand out is the staff. They are so helpful and friendly! The place is family-run, and they make you feel like youre part of the family, too. Breakfast is in a small dining room in the lobby, and one of the owners presides over a waffle-maker and a frying pan for eggs made to order. Theres always light, good conversation. Its like staying in a bed-and-breakfast without the creaky stairs and the frou-frou curtains.
The room was spotlessly clean, well-appointed, updated, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The family who owns the facility are wonderful. We met Bindi during our first visit in January 2019, and, during this visit, we were fortunate to meet Nikki, Bindi’s mother. Both women made us feel like friends. They are warm, professional, and accommodating. We recommend this spot to all of our friends.
This was one of the most pleasant surprises of our motel stays. We are choice card holders so we were looking for a member facility. The street entrance and parking lot were a little dated, but everything else was better than we expected for the price. The room was newly refurbished, fresh, and clean. This was a great bargain. The best part was the personal service at breakfast. The proprietor made personalized egg dishes at our request. Never have had this kind of service. Tasty omelets, over easy, or scrambled all prepared as you watch. I felt like we were treated as family rather than as a customer.
We flew in to Vegas on a late flight and were trying to get as close to the coast as we could to start our vacation in earnest the next day. I saw good reviews for this location saying it wasn’t a fancy place, but clean and comfortable. It exceeded our expectations! The room was clean and looked nicer than I expected and the beds were very comfortable. The owners are what really made the place stand out. The family is very friendly and helpful. Even though we barley made it out for breakfast, there were more items than I expected including fresh eggs. If we ever make this crazy road trip again I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel.
A Better travel experience: Stayed here driving through and had a very positive experience. The staff/owners are what set this hotel apart - friendly, joyful, helpful and they care about your experience at their place. Their breakfast experience was a notch above other places with the gentleman cooking waffles and eggs for us! Our rooms were basic but clean. Bed comfortable. Great location near the freeway, dining and shopping. We will stay here again.
The hotel manager was very friendly and attentive. The room was updated with side tables that each had multiple outlets. All the furniture was clean and in great condition. Bathroom was just as clean and updated. The mirror and vanity were large and well lighted for grooming. The room was an amazing value for the excellent price we paid.
I had a great nights rest here thanks to the comfortable bed and quiet property. The staff was very nice and helpful. The lights are a bit harsh...very white...but that wasnt such a big deal. The room was spotless, and smelled clean rather than floral like some motels that spray Febreeze or something. Ill definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay.Upon our arrival we were greeted by Bimbi, who was manning the front desk. This person was very friendly, helpful, and did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. If I managed a motel this would be the type of person I would want to have greeting my guests. The room had recently been renovated. In most motels the carpet will have questionable stains, but here the carpet had been removed and replaced with the tile that simulates wood flooring. The bathroom was small, but clean with all new fixtures, and a new shower surround. The bed was comfortable, the bed clothes were clean. We did not eat breakfast there, but when I went to check out the owner was cooking for some of the guests. He offered breakfast, but we needed to be on the road so we left without eating anything. We would definitely stay here again if were in the area again.
This is a decent very basic 2-story motel. We received only a single key and werent asked how many we wanted, which was adequate for an overnight stay. Rooms have been recently remodeled and lighting in the room itself is very good. There is a switch somewhere that turns on the electricity to the refrigerator, but we were not told about it, and we thought the fridge didnt work. The lighting in the bathroom looks really nice, but is too dim. The counter-mounted sink looks impressive, but is awkward to use. There was only one hand towel and no washcloths provided. The bathtub faucet is difficult to turn and works opposite to all others Ive used. The owners first statement to us at check-in was, Dont tell me you want the first floor! This felt a bit confrontational, and there are better ways to express frustration with prior customers who refused the second floor. Needless to say, we took a room on the second floor! The billed deluxe breakfast was only adequate. One reason we selected this motel was the owners preparation of fresh eggs, which was not in evidence. The cooking setup was there, but not in use. The waffle maker must be a bit temperamental, as the owner insisted on operating it herself, but she came across as hovering and controlling. Overall, our stay was just OK, but we wouldnt stay there again.
This was my first stay at this particular hotel, but not my first visit to the Rodeway Inn chain. As such, I have to admit I did not expect much, especially in light of the very reasonable price at this facility. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised! The service was exemplary from the moment we arrived. The room was very clean, comfortable and relaxing, from the bed right down to the soft clean carpet on my bare feet; it felt great! Most impressive was how quickly the owner/manager responded to every need, even preparing food for the complementary continental breakfast and bringing it to our table. After a long day of driving on the road, our stay at this hotel was a wonderful pick-me-up. I would highly recommend this facility. And I will definitely be stopping here again.
Nice clean room! Daughter was very friendly and helpful. The lady who checked us in, maybe the mom, was not that friendly and she was weird about breakfast. Stood and watched what people took right by the food counter. Nice place for a good rest on a road trip though I wouldnt recommend staying for more than one night.
My husband and I stayed here 1 night. Picked it because it had the best reviews in the area. The owner was so sweet, he even cooks you breakfast himself. Very clean, cute added touches in each room, our towels were folded into elephants. Hes updating beds to Organic cotton memory foam. Laminate flooring will soon be in all rooms, no smelly dirty carpet. We have been on the road for a week now and have not had this kind of hospitality at any other Choice hotel. We will be back for sure.Enjoy,Connie B.
All of the staff made us feel very welcome and took great care of us. The room was clean, neat and had all of the things we needed including a fridge. There was a washer and dryer available which was a great help to us since we had been traveling several days. The breakfast included fresh cooked eggs which was great since hotels rarely have enough protein--and if they do it is often just hard boiled eggs. This hotel also had a gym with a nice selection of exercise options which, again, was super helpful during our long travels. They also have an arrangement with local restaurants to offer 10% discount for people staying at Roadway Inn.
Daughter and I were traveling late and I was too tired to keep driving. Called the hotel and they were very friendly on the phone and got us a room. Price was decent. Room was very clean. Bed was a memory foam mattress and it was super comfortable.Breakfast was amazing. We had made to order eggs by the owner himself. They had a wide variety of options for breakfast. They also had gluten free and lactose free options available. Very friendly atmosphere. I will definitely stay here again should I end up in Barstow!
We were so tired and hoping for great beds to get a good nights sleep, and that is just what we found. The room was clean and simple. I could not locate a coffee maker (hoping), but there was a continental breakfast and coffee in the office/dinning room. I was able to walk for food because everything was close by. I would recommend it. It is a Non-smoking facility.
We were immediately made welcome by the owners. The hotel is clean with good sized rooms and comfy beds and pillows. Good value for money. The guest laundry was easily accessible and both washing machine and dryer very clean so absolutely no problem in using them whilst on our road trip. Breakfast- this is where the owners go that extra mile there are lots of items to choose from and the owner cooks fresh to order whatever style eggs you want. Another guest had waffles made for him complete with cut fresh orange slices. What we particularly liked was that the owners are on hand at breakfast to ensure all runs smoothly but also sits and chats to guests to share their great knowledge of the area. Choice hotels please note some of your other hotels could definitely learn a lesson from the owners on how to deal with guests
The price was extremely reasonable. The location was great, on Main street across from Vons Supermarket nearby several eateries. The room was very comfortable and modern with all the amenities you would expect. The staff was excellent providing wonderful customer service. The breakfast was superb! Parking was onsite and easy to use. Felt safe, thus experienced a fabulous nights sleep! Would totally come back! Recommended for everyone especially for families looking to stay at a quality motel!
Had a pretty good experience here while traveling to Colorado. Front desk was nice and checked in multiple times throughout our stay. Didn’t expect it to be as nice and it’s was, hardwood flows, clean everything, and spacious. Breakfast was on point since I’m an early riser and like to start the day bright and early. Location was close to a grocery store, dinners, fast food, Star bucks, etc.
An excellent place to stay for the evening. I arrived during a blowing sandstorm that lasted throughout the night. The owner of the hotel was so welcoming and helpful, Im sure he would have done cartwheels if I asked him to do so. My room was very comfortable, the bed was just fine and everything was very clean. I am a stickler for such things and I was totally satisfied. In the morning the owner has the usual continental breakfast plus he sets up and egg and waffle station and acts as the cook. He does a good job of this while he also greets guests into the dining room and keeps the tables clean. After a long day of driving this is a great choice to lay your head.
This hotel is one of my favorites to stay at. I stay at a lot of hotels for work and this is by far one of the best. The rooms are always clean and have recently been renovated and definitely have that more modern feel. The owners of this hotel are truly amazing as well. Always the most friendly and welcoming people. The male owner also always cooks breakfast for guests each morning. Truly a nice touch, especially when traveling for work and not leisure. If you are in this area and in need of a hotel for one night or more, this is the place you want to stay. Thanks Raj and Nikki for always being amazing and making me feel at home when on the road!
The bed was very comfortable. All new furniture, I especially like the soft mood lighting on the headboard, its a very soft light that makes a great night light. There are plenty of 110 outlets to charge all your devices and then some. They have the largest mini refrigerators that I have ever seen in a hotel. The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast includes eggs freshly cooked to order and I dont usually like eggs but the owner sure knows how to cook them. I believe the eggs were the best I have ever had including home cooked! I cant believe this is a Rodeway Inn, truly! The BEST! I will recommend this Rodeway Inn without reservation to all my colleagues.
Clean room, surprisingly great breakfast, very attentive proprietor. I was given a cooked to order omelette for breakfast, my son had a just cooked waffle, plus hot chocolate, raisin bread, yogurt, and a Danish.I really felt like I was a guest in his personal kitchen. He really cares about providing outstanding service. Nice sunny dining area.Overall very satisfying and an excellent value.
Very pleasantly surprised. Rooms were very clean and we felt safe and welcome breakfast was also good for a typical free breakfast. The only downfall was the pool. It was a bit strange and although was clean, it was very dark at night and not super welcoming. Im sure during the day it would be better. Overall great stay and would defiantly come back.
Clean, remodeled room. Easy check-in and out. Great blackout curtains--the room was very dark, even after the blazing sun came up. A/C worked well. The kitchenette room has a full oven and stove, full fridge, microwave, full-size sink. The wifi was a little spotty in our room on the end of the property, but it worked fine in the main sleeping area. Thanks for a comfortable stay!
Stopping at the Rodeway Inn in Barstow during a road trip, I expected the room to be clean and moderately comfortable, but nothing luxurious. Thats what I got, but was nevertheless pleasantly surprised by the experience. From the folded towel animal by the bed, to the owner cooking omelets at breakfast, I was impressed by the friendliness of the proprietors and the pride they obviously take in their establishment. No, its nothing fancy, but the room and bath were clean, the bed was comfortable, the wifi worked well, and the breakfast selection was better than one would expect.
We knew we would be arriving very late at night so called ahead the afternoon of arrival to let staff know (didnt want to lose the reservation by showing up unannounced after 11pm). When we arrived, the overnight manager had everything ready and waiting for our check in, which was very much appreciated. We normally choose nicer/higher star hotels, particularly when well be spending more time there. For this trip, we needed just a quick overnight, coming in late and leaving early, preferably with a decent breakfast so lower start and inexpensive, but still clean was what we were going for. Bed was not the most comfortable hotel bed Ive slept in, but for 2 stars, I thought it was pretty good. I have slept in worse beds/less comfortable rooms for supposedly better rated hotels! The check in process and friendliness of the manager definitely got us started on the right foot. I had somewhat lower expectations for quality of room, etc. being 2 stars, but we had researched and read reviews and were relieved the rooms were clean and were impressed with the value for the low price. Breakfast had a decent selection (belgian waffles, bagels, english muffins, cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, etc) and check out was very fast and easy. Will definitely recommend and stay here again when coming through Barstow on our trips.
What a wonderful experience! The owner made our experience seamless. His pride for his hotel really shined. Great price for what you get. Clean, modern room. Delicious breakfast- little more than typical continental breakfast. Pool, WiFi, gym, and right on Route 66! Would definitely come back and choose to come here over other hotels in the area. Again, the owner’s hospitality alone would bring me back!
I never would have considered staying at a Rodeway, if it had not been for my daughter’s seeking the reviews online. Because of the amount of positive reviews, we gave it a chance. We did not regret it. Between the clean comfortable rooms and the exceptional breakfast options, our stay was great. The owners are friendly and want to make sure we were satisfied.
Everything you need for a comfortable night stay finishing up or starting your road trip across the US. Roger will hook you up with a home cooked breakfast like youre at a B&B. Made to order eggs, sausage, fresh cut fruit salad, and your typical hotel waffles but all made for you and brought to you at the table. Better array of Coffee selections than most hotels we stayed at during our cross country trip and all the typical breads for breakfast. Our room was comfortable and clean. Great water pressure. Good TV selections and in room AC to fit your perfect sleep temperature.
Read this review and read the others. Youll get it! Friendly and efficient management, clean comfortable rooms with great tv, hot shower, quick wifi. Quiet, safe, and convenient to local businesses. The price is good and you certainly get your moneys worth! Enjoy your stay.
Great check in, lots of information about hotel and surrounding areas. Room was large, immaculately clean and full of the little extras that made the room seem more homely. Lots of sockets to charge all electronic gadgets. Good strong wifi connection. Bed comfy and all linen towels etc immaculate. Lovely pool with pool towels supplied. Nice breakfast, especially the speciality coffees!! Family run, fantastic hotel. We had stayed in 19 motels/hotels by this point of all different price scales and this was the best by far.
Words cannot say how much I like about this hotel, and the managers. When I arrived I was about ready to literally drop with travel fatigue, and just needed a loving hand and a smile to say, your welcome here. And they were just so helpful and friendly and this day and age, we all need people like this. And the room was just absolutely spotless. I would highly recommend anytime, to anyone. It is very easy to find, centralized right where their is shopping etc. Just know that you wont be disappointed with this place at all.
Very friendly helpful service. Comfortable beds. Clean neat updated rooms. Continental breakfast was excellent. Eggs and waffles were prepared for us and served with a smile. Very personal and made you feel at home. Could be called a bed and breakfast. He obviously enjoys what he does.
We stayed at this place for two days while visiting the Mojave Desert Preserve. The hotel was fully booked that weekend but we had no problem finding parking inside the facility. The room we stayed are recently renovated so we are pleased with that. The whole facility is kept clean and tidy. Most importantly it was quiet at night when you needed to rest!
L usually stay at comfort or quality inn but used my points for a free night. Good choice. The lady who fronted the place was friendly and knowlegable and even served the waffles at breakfast which was ample varied and tasty. If you want hot sausage and eggs pay the extra dollars and look elsewhere but l was more than satisfied with what was on offer. Nice quiet very clean room walking distance to restaurants, fast food etc. Very comfy bed. This place deserves its special status. Best Rodeway l have ever stayed in. Well done to the staff for a very pleasant stay
The couple that owns this is absolutely delightful. We were moving across the country and got in about 1am and they got us a room no problem. The next morning as my husband was packing the car the wife came out to make sure we had a good stay and she observed all my plants in the car. My husband told her that I ended up having to leave a bunch behind and she was so sweet and ended up giving me cuttings of her plants. Just a lovely couple.
We enjoyed our stay. It is a small family owned hotel , well maintained. We met the two sisters of the family . They were both very friendly and helpful. We had trouble with the tv remote and they came to our room and helped us. Very kind people. The breakfast was really good. Would stay here again.
My grandma and I are very frequent travelers and of all the hotels we’ve stayed in, we always talk about how this one is the absolute best. They’ve upgraded many of the amenities over time, you can clearly see how much care the owners put into maintaining the rooms. Always clean, I brag that this is the only hotel bathroom I’d ever actually consider taking a bath in! Micky and Roger are always happy to see us and chatting in the mornings over breakfast is a great way to start the day before a long drive. Barstow is our midway stop between Phoenix and San Francisco and we stay at the Rodeway Inn every time. Thank you guys for being such fabulous hosts, we’ll see you again sometime soon!
This is by no means a big resort hotel, but our stay was very enjoyable. Topping the list of amenities was the staff, or should I say the family. The small (well under 100 rooms) hotel appears to be operated by a family that lives on site. We were greeted by a pair of sisters who bubbled over with friendliness. They did anything they could to make our stay enjoyable, from recommending a good restaurant to helping us figure out DishTV to making breakfast in the morning. One sister cooked eggs to order (Fried, scrambled or even burned. I had a guest ask me to cook them until they were crispy -- I do what they want.)The inn is not particularly pretty, but neither is Barstow. There is an old pool in the corner and a gym-in-the-closet. But the rooms are comfortable and clean while the staff is excellent.
Excellent experience for taking a chance. We got in late, and she was able to accommodate 3 rooms (1 disabled) on the first floor close together. It had been recently renovated, and was pretty nice for a “2-star” hotel. The rooms were very clean, the water pressure was good (our water could’ve been just a bit hotter) and had good towels. The next morning, the man in the office (I guess that it might be a husband and wife team) made everyone breakfast. Cut up fruit for everyone and really went the extra mile. It didn’t feel so much like a Continental breakfast, more like a bed and breakfast. No issues with paying. Easy enough check out. I would recommend if you need a cheap room in Barstow.
No breakfast. Limited hot water.Even though the place promised free breakfast, they said its not available due to covid19. Thats just an excuse because other hotels have offered takeaway breakfast. They should not falsely advertise services that are not included. Or refund customers who booked expecting breakfast to be included. Also the water doesnt get very hot. When showering, the water suddenly got very cold and I had to jump out of the shower for lack of hot water. Horrible.
Owner was very helpful and courteous upon check in. Directed us to popular restaurant for dinner. Room was nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Shower head in the bathroom was one of the best Ive showered under in a hotel. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Owner cooked eggs to order and made waffles upon request. Full breakfast layout. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling through. I think it was the first hotel my Girlfriend hasnt complained about. Lol
I stayed here primarily based on the rate and location, but once I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. While it appears to be an older hotel on the Route 66 strip in Barstow, the rooms were updated and quite comfortable. There are many other hotels in this area, but by the looks of them, I made a wise choice staying at Rodeway. I cant say enough about the staff there. I stay at a lot of hotels and its rare that you actually feel a connection with the staff and that they genuinely care about your stay.
We stopped here on our way out over Spring Break. What a pleasant surprise! The owner was so appreciative when I called to say wed be arriving rather late. The rooms are very clean (new everything from towel racks, fixtures, tv, freshly painted, etc.) and the bed was just fine. It also felt very safe - we didnt worry someone was going to mess with our car. The owner SO cares about this place. The best part was the breakfast - fresh fruit, variety of cereals, bagels, toast, raisin bread, 3 choices of juice, coffee, danishes. Something for everyone. The proprietor makes eggs or waffles to order and is super friendly. We needed to print up some paperwork while on the road and he kindly printed it up for us! My kids asked to stay here on our return home and we did. There were even home made cookies in the jar at the reception counter on our second stay. This is a great example of a good, clean hotel that is run with the attention to detail by someone who cares.
This was an excellent place for my two brothers to stay for a weekend trip to Barstow! The hosts were extremely gracious and kind and were always extremely friendly when they talked to my brothers! The rooms were very clean and well kept! The pricing was also great! If you need a place to stay in Barstow I recommend here!
We were very pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Barstow Rodeway Inn. We expected the motel to be clean and safe, which it was, but it was so much more. The place was superclean, all the amenities worked well, the exercise room was good and the bed was comfortable with crisp sheets. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful and provided the best complimentary breakfast weve ever had at this type of motel. He made eggs to order and the coffee was good! We highly recommend this motel and it will be our stop when we need to travel through Barstow.
This is an older property but it has been updated in the last couple of years. It is family run and the pride shows in the way it is immaculately maintained. The breakfast is excellent with many hot and cold choices, and the breakfast room absolutely gleams in cleanliness. The mattresses are very comfortable
We arrived at hotel about 10:30 at night, walked in without a reservation. Nikki greated me warmly. She had only 2 rooms available and gave me the quietest one on teh second floor in the back. It was spacious, clean and well lit - real lightbulbs that went on immediately in all lamps and wall sconces. The bathroom and separate kitchenette was immaculate. Bed super comfy. Breakfast next morning was sparse but all was fresh and quite good - fruit, bread/bagels, toaster, juices, coffee. This was by far one of the best motels Ive stayed at. Would definitely recommend it.
The Rodeway Inn more than met our needs. The decor is a bit dated and the rooms are small, but they have everything you would need. (Plus lots of towels which I LOVE) while it is not overly fancy everything is clean and well kept and inexpensive. Perfect for our family. Breakfast is included and the owner works very hard to make sure your needs are met and you are taken care of. Our family would definitely stay here again.
Friendly service. Well thought out comfortable room. Lots of lighting options and plugs for electronics. Made to order eggs and waffles for breakfast, along with a large selection of other items. Couldnt ask for anything more. Definitely recommend and will stay here again if we come through.
This hotel from the outside looks just like any other hotel in barstow. Somewhere you just want to sleep for the night and keep going making sure not to unpack too much because of cleanliness . So when I read the reviews, I went with this one because it had a 4.5 star rating. This actually shocked me so I booked. The guy at the front counter was extremely helpful, nice, and patient. You could tell he was the owner. And that he really takes care of what he has . He was very happy and told me about all the current renovations the hiyel is goong through. He walked me to my room pointed out good places to eat. Just a super nice guy!! The room was a little dated although the i think the carpet was new. The room was clean and I mean clean clean!! There were animals made out of towels and the bathroom shower curtain had like a bow on it. like you were getting the present of a clean shower. There was a fridge , microwave, gym, and the Internet was very fast.. I was very happy with my stay.. Ill definitely stay here again.
We were treated at the front desk in a personal and cordial manner . You really felt they cared for providing a decent experience at their place. Taking pride in ownership seems to be the key word. We got multiple suggestions for what to explore in the area and where to eat. We had a good night sleep and got a broad selection of hot and cold items for breakfast. You could even order eggs or omelettes, and they were made for you right away. Way to go, Roadway Inn!
From the outside this place looks like your average lower tier property. But all the rooms have been remodeled and are terrific. They are now working on sprucing up the exterior. The free breakfast is a cut above economy brands with their cooked to order eggs and waffles. It is clearly a family run operation and they appear to take pride in providing excellent customer service. Rates may be a little higher than the average Roadway Inn but thats becasue the accommodations and amenities (like very strong free WiFi) better than the average Roadway Inn.
Very cozy hotel with comfortable beds. The lady on the front desk was zealously helpful and kind. She provided a kick stand for my husbands motorcycle which we have never seen at any other hotel. Great idea with the heat and soft pavement in the parking lot.Dogs were running loose in the parking lot, which troubled me a bit as I have been badly bitten by friendly dogs in the past.
This is not the Ritz but it is very clean, thick towels, very comfortable beds. This hotel is family run and they are so nice. Cooked to order eggs in the morning with bagels and cream cheese is the best. It is w/n walking distance of 2 restaurants for dinner. It is off the beaten path but worth the little search, it is on East Main, not too far off the freeway.
I had not intended to spend the night in Barstow, and was not happy with the idea. I was checked-in by a very upbeat & friendly person, whom I found was Nikkie. Tired & worn from a long day I asked for a clean inexpensive restaurant, and she immediately recommended one directly across the street. The restaurant was very clean, had great food & great service, and was priced right. After eating, I entered my room, which was exactly what I had requested, very clean, quiet and comfortable. I came back to the office to thank her for recommending the restaurant and the room I was given, to find that she and Roger are the owners. Breakfast had a lot of variety to choose from and everyone eating seemed happy. Its refreshing to find owners who are actually interested in making a guest feel welcome, while providing a great value.Im happy to recommend this Rodeway to anyone who is looking for a clean, comfortable, inexpensive place to stay in the area.
I dont write reviews, but this is an exception. Driving in it looked like a normal Roadway Inn--until you entered the room. Wow, it was completely renovated, everything new, modern, clean and as nice a room as we have encountered in much more expensive motels. The young lady who made waffles and eggs in the morning was delightful and I cannot think of anything to complain about. We will stay there on our next trip through.
Very friendly and helpful staff comma clean and well-equipped rooms. And old Motel has received expert and loving care. There is a towel expertly folded into an elephant on the bed when we arrived. I was blown away by the breakfast in the morning which was supposed to be cold continental breakfast. We had a hot breakfast and the owner made us an omelette. This is a super value for the price.
Clean, easy to access, plenty of parking, nice people, good breakfast, comfy beds, reasonably priced. The property has been renovated and updated. The plug ins and USB ports in the night stands were a fantastic addition.Refrigerators and microwaves in each room.Plenty of plug ins all over the room.
This hotel is clean, comfortable and has a great breakfast where your eggs and waffles are made to order...a real surprise for a smaller establishment. The staff is friendly and greets you with humor. A nice stop after traveling all day. I give this hotel an A+ and would stay here again.
The staff at this motel gave it a wonderful personal touch!First, after checking us in at the office, the owner walked with us to our room and made certain that we knew how everything worked. Secondly, the next morning he personally prepared our eggs to order at the free breakfast. I should add that the rest of the breakfast also was great!Thirdly, in our room, the hand towels and washcloths were folded together in such a way as to look like elephants, with the soaps and shampoos slid down into cuffs at the bottom of the legs of the elephants. I realize this is hard to picture -- youll just have to go there and see their creations! In addition to the personal touch of the staff, the room, itself, was very nice. It had great recessed lighting at the top of the headboard which made for a nice soft light in the room, there were USB charging ports on each of the nightstands, and the bed was very comfortable. All of this in a lost-cost Rodeway Inn! Most unusual and wonderful!
We loved our stay here. The rooms were so clean and comfortable. Roger was an excellent host. He made breakfast (eggs to order)for us and chatted with each group in the room. He not only made our eggs, but garnished them as well. The staff, when we checked in, was polite and offered restaurant suggestions and told us where we could get discount.
I was a late arrival (after 11pm) with an internet reservation. The front desk was expecting me, and was gracious, pointing out the breakfast availability and courteous and kind despite the hour. The room was better than I expected. It had all of the usual amenities and included a refrigerator and microwave. The room was quiet all night. I was offered a place to store my bicycle in the hotel storage. The breakfast included homemade waffles, along with a good variety of cereals (including gluten free options) hot and cold, and continental breakfast options. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the service and quality of both my room and the Rodeway Inn.
We stayed for one night on the way to Vegas. I loved the updates to the rooms. wood floors and updated bathroom and kitchenette. The beds were not so comfortable but we were only there for one night. The kitchenette had everything we needed and if it wasnt there the owner said just to ask and she will bring it over. Overall it was a good stay
We had a really nice stay at the Rodeway Inn in Barstow the manager/owner was extremely kind, friendly, and serviceable. He filled our every need. The room itself was small and crowded (too large furniture in a small room) but was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was better than youd get in most hotels in this price range (hot waffles and bagels, etc), but not as many options as others we stayed at (no scrambled eggs or biscuits and gravy). But we were hand served our food by the owner/manager. Dont get that kind of service any where else.
This was a GREAT find. We checked in at 9 pm at night, without a reservation, and our hostess Bindi was kind, generous and thoughtful. She gave us snacks, and even upgraded us to a larger room at no extra charge when I asked if I could bring in our bikes. She told us where to find food, groceries, and told us how to get help if we needed anything during the night. I wish more motels were this welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Again, our hostess was welcoming, efficient, and gracious even though she was single-handedly serving 15 people breakfast at once without a whimper. Wow, can I hire her??? If we are ever in Barstow again, this is where we will stay
What a great find! Loved this place. Loved my room. The couple that own it are so friendly and helpful. They also went out of their way to keep an eye on our big trucks we had to park across the street. Great price and great breakfast. I will definitely be staying here again.
My spouse and myself -I am handicapped , stayed here. The room was exceptional for me, everything was so handicapped ready and nice. I loved the walk in shower and this is the first one I have experienced that was built so the water stayed in the shower and the floor of the bathroom stayed completely . It was so much safer. The safety bars were just in the right places. The staff was the BEST. I have never been treated so well in my life at a place away from home. Everyone was so friendly it made you feel so welcome. Everything was very clean and nice. Thank you to all the staff.
Not only was the room very nice and clean, but the owner was so friendly and helpful when our car broke down in Barstow, en route to Ventura, and even gave my husband a ride to the rental car location! Thank you so much for the very pleasant stay! We will certainly stay here again next time were in Barstow.
The owner manager of the Rodeway Inn made us feel very welcome. It was like being a guest in a friends home. The rooms were modern and updated and strikingly clean. The breakfast dining area was spotless. We would definitely stay here again next time we come through Barstow
This is an older two-story hotel with exterior corridors, however, it appeared to have been recently renovated. The room we stayed in was very well appointed with a large armoire that opened to access the digital TV set. The bathroom was in good condition and the bed was comfortable despite its apparent age. There was a large table and comfortable chair to use our laptop on. There were plenty of electrical outlets for all the chargers and other devices that we carry when traveling. The owner was very personable and suggested several places nearby to eat. He told us to tell the restaurant where we were staying and we would get a small discount, which we did. The breakfast was stocked with typical breakfast fare such as muffins, bagels, waffles, etc. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
Everything, from our greeting upon arrival, to the room, to breakfast the next morning, was award-winning. Bindi, our hostess for our stay, is an absolute delight. Helpful, intelligent, personable, professional, warm are all descriptors for this young woman. Our room was very pretty, with design updates. Be sure to try the nightlight on the headboard. This is an excellent hotel, and we will certainly plan to stay there again.
This hotel is a great value in Barstow, CA. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. Shower was hot with great water pressure. And we slept like babies in the king size bed. The room was above average for hotels in this category. The continental breakfast was fine. It was about what you would expect for hotels in this category.
Five Stars! This motel was the perfect place to rest our weary bodies from our road trip from Santa Cruz to Sedona. Bindi was extremely accommodating and friendly. The best Mexican restaurant, Lola’s Kitchen, is located directly across the street. Comfortable rooms. Very clean. Great experience. We stayed at Rodeway Inn twice. The first time we were on our way East and the second time we were on our way back West. I highly recommend the Rodeway Inn.
Great room for a budget price! And the owner not only cooks the waffles and eggs for the free breakfast, he set a table for us and ensured we had everything we wanted to eat for breakfast. If youre a dog lover like me, be sure to ask to meet his two medium size and very friendly dogs (theyre normally shut up away from guests, but if you ask, hell let them out to meet you.)!
Actually really enjoyed our stay. Its rare to find this level of customer service and engagement. Clean and kid friendly. Location is convenient to grocery store and restaurants but not directly on the interstate so you dont have to hear traffic all night. Was actually quiet with a great breakfast. This will be our go to place for that area.
My wife and I stayed here on a trip to Arizona. This is one of the best, cleanest , and friendliest places we have stayed on our trips. The owner wassuper nice and the breakfast was fresh, tasty , and custom. Definitely willstay here again as we fairly often travel to Utah and Arizona from California.Highly recommend it.
Best hotel weve had this trip! The rooms are a labor of love and decorated to make you feel at home. The water pressure was excellent and the breakfast was delicious and prepared for you. I am adding this hotel to my favorites and will make a point to stop in Barstow the next time were going to northern California.
Checkin was a bit slow because no one was manning the front desk when I arrived. The room was very satisfactory, recently upgraded. The next morning we were pleasantly surprised by the owner cooking eggs for guests. They were much better than the typical eggs at hotel/motel breakfasts. I would definitely stay again.
Writing this review late, but my boyfriend and I stayed here during thanksgiving after the road closures prevented us from getting to Big Bear and also the small stretch of I-15 (southbound) was backed up for 11hrs+ /eventually was just closed for the night to clear all the car accidents from people driving crazy in the snow. Anyways....when we arrived at this specific Rodeway, all the stress went away. The owners’ daughter was working the hotel and her adorable, SWEET dogs helped make us feel so happy after being in the car for 13hours in winter storm traffic. The room was clean, remodeled, and she was so sweet to let us check out late because we got in at 1:30am. Can’t recommend this family’s hospitality enough.
This is a very nice well kept secret in Barstow! Recently remodeled and very very clean. The owners are lovely people who go out of their way to make their guests comfortable. They even make breakfast for you, and not just any breakfast. Waffles, eggs whatever you like within reason. Well worth the money, we stay here whenever we can.
Very comfortable King sized bed, very clean and accommodating. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable from check in with Bindi to breakfasts both mornings with Roger manning the egg and waffle station!! Best Rodeway experience ever and we would not look any farther if we travel to this area again. We will surely stay here. Great value!!
After a long drive and never stopping in Barstow it was a pleasant surprise staying at the Roadway Inn in Barstow. The rooms have been recently renovated, nice laminate on the floor, no carpets. Nice, comfortable bed and top notch care when we checked in by the owners of the property. We would definitely stay here again.
We are from New Zealand have been to Barstow 3 times and this is the first place I have stayed in the USA that exceeded our expectations as far as value for the dollar. We were greeted by someone whom I am sure came first in customer service school. An absolute pleasure dealing with her. If you want clean...value for bucks..go there. Another plus was he cooks the best eggs ever.
Had some car troubles and needed a place to stay for the night; found Rodeway online after reading great reviews and let me say It did not disappoint! Bindy was more than accommodating, free breakfast was a great touch, the room was spotless, bed was comfy and she even let us stay til 12pm while we waited for our car to be fixed. Definitely would recommend!
I chose this motel due to its above average outside appearance. I was greated in the parking lot by a helpful gentleman who assisted me in securing my motorcycle. Room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good and staff was very attentive. I needed to return and retrieve an item I left behind and was again greeted on arrival by the helpful staff. I would recommend this motel to any for a good nights stay.
Best value of any hotel I have ever stayed at. I have paid double the price at other hotels that werent half as nice. I saw some comments that complained about the fridge and microwave being unplugged, but I see this as a smart cost saving business decision. The plugs were on the wall in plain view and easily plugged in. Great room, clean, good furniture, great comfy bed. Breakfast was wonderful, no full breakfast but everything else is there and included. Dont miss out on the waffle, pure perfection happily made a brought to you by the friendly proprietor. I would stay here anytime Im in the area or passing through.
I cannot even express how wonderful Bendi was! She was so polite, kind and very very helpful! She gave us a wonderful recommendation for supper. She made us a delicious breakfast the morning after our stay. The washers and dryer‘s were clean, quick and inexpensive. The room was immaculate!
We had a VERY good experience. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The managers are friendly and provide breakfast with fresh made waffles. When traveling again we would surely stay here. Dont miss seeing the fun towel-folding in the shape of an elephant. Thank you for a great experience.

2022-01-20I was taking my mother on a road trip across California and Barstow seemed like a suitable mid-stop on our journey. The Rodeway Inn was reasonably priced and had excellent reviews. I am happy to confirm that those are fully deserved. This is a family-operated establishment, and the couple make a great effort to accommodate their guests needs. While not fancy (this aint Vegas!), the rooms are clean and have all the basics covered. We arrived after dark and, upon hearing that Im traveling with a senior citizen, the host made sure to place us in a room on the ground floor. He was also up early in the morning, preparing complementary breakfast from scratch for any guests who wanted one (tipping is appropriate). While just a stopover on our trip, this did feel like a good experience. And here is the best part: a couple of days later I realized I was missing my (fairly expensive) headphones. I sent an email to the hotel, they got in touch and confirmed they had found them, and asked for my address. I just got them back in the mail! They didnt even ask me to send money for postage or for the trouble, but Ill find a way to get it to them. I am obviously very pleased and wish more places - including some high-end establishments - would offer this lever of service.

2022-02-17I’ve stayed many places across the country. This was the best place so far!The customer service was impeccable! The breakfast bar was very impressive. It had options for everyone gluten free, vegan, healthy etc. I stayed here for a week. The room was clean!I actually witnessed them washing the blankets from the rooms when cleaning them!I looked at reviews for all the hotels in the area and this one was the best reviews. I am pleased to say I would gladly stay here again! If you want a good clean room and great service this is the place to stay. The other surrounding hotels may be cheaper but definitely not better!!!

2022-05-20This place was a God send last night. After traveling through the night until 2am d/t other hotels that were not of standard, we found this one. The owner took care of us quickly, and offered to let us stay past check out so we could get a good nights rest. She was very kind, and professional. The rooms were very clean. They were laminate/wood floors, making for a clean surface, cutting down on allergens. I would highly recommend.

2022-06-11The managers are great, they went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was excellent with a nice choice of eggs, waffles etc (unlike many hotels still using Covid as an excuse for only doing grab & go breakfasts!) The pool is nice for a cool off on a hot day - Im happy to recommend this motel

2022-04-28Guy behind the counter (the manager?) was very friendly and helpful, recommending local restaurants. Room was clean, simple but clean. In the morning, the manager (?) was in the breakfast area serving people---you dont usually get such service for $100 a night or even $200. This is one of the best hotels/motels in Barstow. Give this guy your business, hes earned it...

2022-06-29The hotel owner/front desk manager really cares about keeping his guests happy and running his business well! Our stay was lovely, the rooms were sparkling clean, the breakfast was fantastic and the view from the second floor is breathtaking. Strongly recommend this hotel!

2022-02-10Stayed at this hotel last night. The breakfast in the morning was amazing. Eggs made on the spot and the way I like them. Quite simply some of the best customer service experience in a hotel so far. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and come here again.

2022-06-19Staff were extremely nice! I was suppose to stay over for awhile in barstow so I got the room with the kitchenette. At first glance both the room and the kitchen looked fairly well kept. However, after multiple days the cracks started to show. The garbage disposal was broken and the sink had a clog so water would drain very slow and the provided dishes and cookware were very limited. Not really set up for a kitchen mostly just a facade. Also there were ants in the kitchen area, not many, but still. Barstow isnt that safe (but my windows werent smashed thats nice.) Luckily my trip got put on hold after 3 days so I checked out early. Thats about the most amount of time I would suggest staying overnight, which is reasonable considering the price. Also I like the owners dogs SUPER FRIENDLY!
