My niece was admitted there for septic, on Tuesday, 2 days later she was intubated, she had 2 blue codes, 2 days (Saturday) later after doing a CT SCAN found out that she has no brain activity, is this normal? Why if she wouldnt wake up, triggered them an do a CT scan or put her an EEG? Now she is dead!!! 4 days in ICU!! I dont understand 😪😪.Visiting her was a pain in the neck. My brother had given our names, to the nurse station I guess ICU, and when we got there, they didnt have our names in the list. Even for my brothers the father, was a nightmare to go back inside the hospital! The staff members need more customers service trainings. Only one nurse in ICU went beyond! Sorry I didnt get his name. Please do an M& M report to see what went wrong so it wont happen to someone else. Now we all have to cope with this loss.
So disappointing. The nurses are incompetent and rude. My husband came in for a severe hemiplegic migraine, and wouldnt let me in with him so I gave the nurse his phone and glasses so he could see when he got better. They disregarded every answer my husband gave them yet asked the same questions multiple times. They put his IV in wrong & now its inflamed, fatigued & bruised. They also LOST his glasses! Dont trust these nurses.
I was brought in to the ER by ambulance at the time I didnt know what it was. I was home alone with toddlers. I was spinning so much I couldnt balance. It was for vertigo. I had all the textbook signs, but somehow they believed it was an anxiety attack. I kept explaining how I was spinning so much I couldnt keep my head up & I vomited a lot. They left me in the hallway gave me something for the anxiety & nausea. My results came back normal so they booted me out. After I was getting discharged the nurse was nice to me. Originally was super cold. She asked me why was I spinning so much what were you doing. When I asked for help to walk she said I was fine. I said please. She said Im right here you wont fall but it felt as if she didnt care. She finally held my arm because I asked her if she would. The whole experience was overwhelming. I feel as if they mightve thought I was a druggy and kept pushing the anxiety attack on me. It was not anxiety & I repeated that over & over. My discharge paperwork says it to. So annoying and unprofessional of them. I left there spinning and went to urgent care the next day & received the proper care. Also, two nurses stationed in front of me on the hallway said I wish people would stop using emergency services for non life threatening things & the other nurse said yeah its for gun shot wounds not hypotensive people. In other words I hope I never have another emergency. I sincerely couldnt walk, look up, or talk well.
Thanks to my nurses in unit 2500 Cynthia, Isabella, Janette, Luz, and Tina. For making my experience so great I came in not being able to walk and I was able to come out fully functional and walking they were so kinda and personable and truly great nurses and people. Thank you Unit 2500. And the ER trama team for helping me regain my ability to walk and giving me a chance to still join the Airforce!!♥️
My husband has been in this hospital twice. Im here every day and am able to see the care he is given. I believe it has been very good. The nurses are compassionate and professional. The dr are informative. A specialist has been requested as needed. Very pleased with my husband care
Riverside University Health System Emergency room service was the very worst ER service I haver ever encountered. I watched a RN degrade a homeless man by talking down to him, and exploiting her authority, then asking him to leave. When I stepped up to present my identification, she replied in a very disrespectful tone that I was just here in the emergency room hours ago and, and she refused to give me medical attention. I explained to her that I was following doctors instructions: If condition gets worse, return to emergency room.
It’s a great hospital but calling for an appointment is a nightmare. You’re on hold forever and sometimes they hang up. It used to be so easy to schedule my sons appointments and ever since they changed the system it’s nearly impossible to get a hold of someone under 30 minutes.
Apparently at this hospital you dont get seen or treatment within 5 hours unless your dying or on the verge of it. Pls do yourselves and your families a favor and find an actual hospital cause this place isnt one. Go to a place where they care to help you this place and its staff does not. How do those drs and nurses see the horrible treatment the patients are getting and are able to go home and sleep at night. Be ashamed.
I call nearly weekly to pay a bill that was wrong sent to collections (failed to appeal a claim), the claim was appealed and insurance PAID IN FULL. I had a co-insurance balance Id call weekly to pay, Id get a promise every week a manager would call back so I could close the account out, but nope, never received any call TRYING TO PAY A BALANCE. Marlene, Cassandra, Patty, Martha, how could you poorly mismanage an account this bad, I dont even want to know how sloppily other accounts are handled.
One of the worst emergency rooms I’ve ever been too, I took my son cause he was having a hard time swallowing and was constantly choking this problem had been going on for weeks his primary physician recommended we go to the ER since there capable of doing more test but as soon as we got there they were no help and wrote it off as a sore throat even after continuing to ask them to please run more test they recommended we go back to the primary that sent us there, the problem again got worse so we had to bring him to the children’s emergency at loma Linda, I would encourage any one if they can to go somewhere else cause this hospital can care less
Yup just sat down for 15 minutes after getting the first Pfizer Covid vaccine, now Im part of the solution, they were fast almost no waiting 🤓😁👍😷🌈 take Tylenol first. Update, received the second vaccine and the reaction was less arm pain and tiredness than the first one, it did not affect my activities at all. I feel a major weight lifted off my shoulders now 😎🥳🎉👍😁🖖😷🌈
The Emergency room is the worst service ever! The staff and Doctor McCarthy are so rude they don’t care about sick hurting patients, and have that I heard it all attitude. I drove from Rialto to take my Ill father who is Hispanic from Jurupa valley to there and they could care less.Update he passed 09/08/21 And he did not get not even one round of chemo he passed at another hospital due to the lack of care from this whole hospital system
Omg if you have a loved one DO NOT TAKE TO THIS HOSPITAL WORSE SERVICE EVERRRRRRTHEY HAVE NO EMPATY, they don’t answer the phone to give updates now a days with the COVID situation and if they do happen to answer they always say everything is ok…. Lies… they tide patients to their beds and no care whatsoever PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE this place is a nightmare they should be sued and closed down for all their cruelty and negligence
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HOSPITAL DO not take your loved ones here at all! I took my boyfriend here for and the staff are complete idiots no communication what so ever my boyfriend had 5 doctors all with different discharge plans no one could agree to anything and they wouldn’t do my boyfriends dialysis treatment at all
I took my dad into the ER because he was covered in bumps caused from liver failure due to severe alcoholism. This was his first step in getting help to get sober.. they let him sit and then have him topical cream and released him at 2am. Horrible.. zero empathy or sympathy. I WILL NEVER make the mistake and bring a loved one here again.
I had to go to ER on Monday the 6th of September and I was extremely pleased with how the whole staff was. Everyone was so nice and helpful and I received great care. I hope I never have to return but, that will be my very first choice. Thank you all for taking such great care of me and being so friendly and caring. They were very thorough and I am feeling better tonight thank God and the staff.
Ok I had put a good review on this before but now I changed it because two years ago I thought they were excellent hospital when it comes to care yes they are excellent but in Substance abuse department when I am trying to get sober. They are terrible especially that white lady who is one of the counselors there at substance abuse counselor she is very rude and condescending I remember that I was trying to get sober and she asked me where do I get therapy at? And I told her that my sister was paying for private therapist and substance abuse counselor told me that I should be using my med cal insurance plan and she was treating me with disrespectful and condescending. Substance abuse counselor is rude but other than that the hospital is excellent compare to inland valley hospital which has rude doctors and rude nurses there.
Very disorganized hospital. They couldn’t find my mother after she was dropped off and paperwork with her info was filled out. They told us to go to the hospital since my mom was passing from COVID and when we got there they wouldn’t allow us in and told us to come back the next day. Went the next day. They let us in five min after my mom passed. Called to get her info for cremation and again made us wait. They couldn’t locate her body. Worst hospital ever. The moment my mother started going there before COVID it was nothing but problems. My daughter was a newborn in the beginning of 2020. Took her because she had a bad reaction to her skin. They changed her milk and she got the worst constipation ever. Decided to take her to my older kids pediatrician and he told me it was a heat rash and to take her off that milk. Told me how to treat her and it worked instantly. I will never go there again unless absolutely necessary. I have very low faith in this hospital
Went into the ER on a Saturday at about 8pm for pain in my abdomen. Was seen immediately and had blood work done. One hour later they did a CT scan and less than two hours later received the results.Very impressed with the professionalism and overall courtesy of the entire staff.
They are all incompetent!!! I went and spent the whole day there just for them to never send my prescription!!! Then when I called to see why , all they told me was that they did their part and to figure it out.. very unprofessional hospital!!! Never going here again!
I gave birth to my son here and I will never forget these awesome nurses. They were with me 100% and were always ready to answer any questions I had. This was my first pregnancy and I had to be induced so I had A LOT of questions. I don’t know full names but I can not stop thinking about how great my nurse Rebecca was, truly an Angel! L&D nurses are the real deal! I wish I could tell her thank you for making a scared first time mom ready to push through.
!!!!SAVE YOUR TIME & PROTECT YOUR HEALTH BY NOT COMING HERE!!!!Front staff is fine & efficient, but the 2 different doctors I saw at this location were H O R R I B L E. I’ve never had a WORSE experience at a hospital or w/ staff & doctors. After my 2nd visit I left crying & couldn’t drive home until I calmed down in the car.My 1st appt was beyond rushed. Nothing was right, my medication wasn’t sent in, the wrong inhaler was sent so it wasn’t covered by my insurance, and the referrals she gave me weren’t covered by my insurance! The summary written in my chart was wrong & not what we discussed or what I told her either. Literally everything that could’ve went wrong, did & then some. She didn’t explain anything to me nor the other medications she prescribed me, so I never took them. Maybe she was busy, and I’m sure she’s a great doctor, but I wanted someone else the next visit I went in for.I had to wait a month or so before seeing another doctor bc she was booked, but the receptionist said she was a great doctor, so I was okay w/ waiting. Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong. For 1, she works part time (?!?!?) the receptionist didn’t tell me that, and when the doctor did she told me she won’t be seeing me or accepting me as a new patient, which was 1 of the biggest reasons for the appt. I need a PCP (still do - it’s been 7 months since I’ve had 1🙃). She did not listen to ANYTHING I had to say. She didn’t believe the things I was saying, & was lecturing me on things like not taking ibuprofen😐 I’ve taken pain killers literally a handful of times in my life bc I don’t like taking them, but I was in debilitating pain & only using ibuprofen (I’m no longer taking it, don’t worry *insert eyeroll*). She didn’t take me seriously AT ALL. My concerns did not matter to her at ALL. Not that I got to mention them bc she told me I could tell her about 1 singular thing I wanted to address even tho I hadn’t got to see a doctor in 6 months excluding my 1st terrible visit. Honestly, maybe I should’ve apologized for wasting her time w/ my appt bc clearly my presence was not only a hassle, but annoying to her. She wouldn’t even let me talk, stopped & shushed me multiple times. She constantly rolled her eyes at me & audibly sighed as well.I work in the hospitality business, I work with ppl all day everyday, pleasant & unpleasant, yet I could N E V E R imagine treating another human the way I was treated. Unacceptable, pathetic, sad, terrible, and ridiculous is the way I would describe my experience at this location. !!!!SAVE YOUR TIME & PROTECT YOUR HEALTH BY NOT COMING HERE!!!!I have never felt so disrespected, ignored, unheard, not listened to, wronged, and upset by a doctor visit. I honestly don’t even have the words to describe how terrible I felt after experiencing this. It’s EXHAUSTING & my summary here is only half the story.!!!!SAVE YOUR TIME & PROTECT YOUR HEALTH BY NOT COMING HERE!!!!
Interviewed with Dr. Cedric and Dr. Rosato. HR(Angela) offered me the job over the phone, and was told paperwork to follow... I put in my two week notice at my present job. Never got the paperwork. Called Angela today; was informed they went forward with somebody else. No explanation, no apology. I suspect the job did not finalized because of my present manager (where I currently work). Its the kind of thing that she will do, thats why I didnt want to be employed by them anymore. This post will probably reflect badly on me but, what has to be said has to be. There are things that just have to be voiced out.
This place is hardly a hospital. More like a torture hostel for criminals and low income assistance. This facility needs to be reevaluated by some sort of hospital management. The condition of the equipment was old, broken, and unsanitary. The most frustrating part of the visit was the staff. This is more a school for individuals who want to attempt a career in the medical field. By no means a facility (hospital) with professionals who know what they are actually doing. The incompetence of the staff was shocking to say the least.
We were able to get a COVID-19 vaccine quickly, I appreciate the organization. I have never been to any facility where nearly everyone we encountered was rude and disinterested. The nurses seemed like we were a huge inconvenience to them. All we did was try to comply with them each step of the way. I even heard one nurse say Im supposed to write down everyones time but um-mm thats too much work, sorry. - Wow.
My father was diagnosed with cancer in October... His oncologist then went on vacation without leaving someone in charge of her case load. It is now December and we never got a call back to start treatment. The Oncology nurse was the only helpful resource at this hospital. If it wasnt for her I would give this place no stars. The Emergency Room is unprofessional and does not care for the patients. My dad would go every other day due to severe pain. All they would do is tell him to see the specialist and give him 2 days worth of pain meds that didnt even help. When I would call the specialists, they would tell me that what he needs to be seen for could have been taken care of at the ER.The ER also didnt want to mess with his nephrostomy tube so they sent him home with the same pain he had for over 2 weeks. When we were finally able to schedule imaging to see if he needed nephrostomy exchange, they cancelled the morning of 5 mins before his appointment when we had received an appointment reminder notification 2 hours before they cancelled. Take into consideration it took us 2 weeks to get this appointment, and we live an hour away. The nurses at same day surgery were also fighting in front of us about how one nurse was mad because a separate nurse made her feel bad for not taking a picture with the group at a party. We were waiting to check in and a different patient was waiting to get the paperwork to fill out but the nurses were too busy arguing about hurt feelings over a picture...This argument lasted 20 minutes. Those same nurses decided to bicker about not wanting to roll my dad to his bone biopsy OR in front of him saying they didnt want to have to take him. My father doesnt speak english by he understands it.I can literally mention so many issues with this place.I have then decided to transfer my father to get care elsewhere. He was seen here since sept 2020 and no treatment plan was discussed. He saw his new oncologist on Tuesday and hes already starting treatment the following week.Make sure if this is the only hospital that will treat you, to call patient advocacy (which didnt help either way) regarding any issues you might have. Dont let them talk down to you. Speak up and make sure you mention and fight for your rights. Make all the phone calls you can and reach out to everybody that might help you get better care. If you do not have insurance, call to apply for emergency medical. Then follow up with your social worker to apply to full on medical. Once you have medical you can apply for IEHP. KEEP PUSHING! Itll take a while and it is time consuming but worth it. Best luck to you all.
My gf was recently brought up in their emergency room , its nice to see how there is still genuine caring people out there that make your health their priority. excellent service and couldnt have trusted anyone better for the caring of my future wife. Definitely will be coming back soon deliberately.ps: just kidding about the going there deliberately, but yeah beautiful service.
I love this hospital. Ive had 6 surgeries there. All but one was done by Dr. Christopher Sherman. He is my hero. I fell and broke my humerus this time and he was able to fix it. So far, so good. Im going to OT, and doing well thanks to Dr Sherman doing an awesome job. Also thank you to his support staff and the nurses being there during this COVID-19 crisis, without them Id be up s creek for sure.
Beware of a small talk with your doctors there. Have been their patient for 5 years and had no idea that facts from my personal life disclosed in a casual conversation with a doctor might end up on my medical records/notes.Apparently everything I said to my doctor ended up in notes, including my work/financial situation and my husbands ethnicity. Feel very betrayed.Good thing I didnt mention the color of my underwear or it would have ended up in my medical notes as well.Lost my trust. Sad.
My daughter was transferred from our local hospital to RUHSMC for a higher level of care. When I first heard where she was being transferred to, I was extremely upset and asked why do I pay to have private insurance if I have to go there. I had had a bad experience over 20 years ago. Once we got to the hospital, she was sent to the ICU where we were received and greeted by such an amazing and caring team. The doctor took the time to explain to us what was going on in her body. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The rooms were spacious and clean. We nurses constantly coming in to check on her. Ask if I needed anything. They would come and educate my daughter and I on how we will need to care for her once we get discharged. This was extremely stressful and a lot of information to take in. The staff there reassured us that we would not be discharged until my daughter and I were comfortable with injecting and monitoring her sugars. Once transferred from the ICU to a regular room, the wonderful care did not stop. The nurses on the other side of the floor where just as attentive and caring for my daughter. I have a new view of this hospital and would return in the future if we needed to. I would 100% recommend this hospital to my friends and family. Over all I am beyond grateful for the wonderful staff that cared for my daughter.
I had the worst experience here which caused me to go to another hospital less than five hours after leaving this hospital first off the condition I was in was a no way acceptable to be sitting on a chair they knew what condition I had and they still had me sitting on a chair in the waiting room for 12 hours I completely understand that there’s a lot of Covid patients and other patients that have more severe things but the severity of my situation was extremely intense pain and was not able to be sit directly on unfortunately. First off there was a nurse that refused to do what the doctor said to do in the first place and decided to go her own route without doing things the right way it caused me to flare up a lot of other issues that I had going on let me just say this has been a far been the worst experience of my life 12 hours on a chair with us very disrespectful ways at the end on discharging me I would like to state that I will be taking this to HR and making it more than what it is because it is unacceptable that nurses and doctors decide to go in that career with attitudes and disrespectful attitude I thought when in an industry we need more kindness and more understanding than ever at this time.
Excellent service!!! The nurse very kindly walked us to the other building were we had to go even though it was raining a lot. Nurses at the other building were very patient and sweet with my son. I did not have to wait it was actually pretty fast. Dr and staff were great!!! Felt the need to express how thankful I am on how patient and kind they were with us. Definitely recommend!!!
They have a great family friendly, all ages, insta body bag snuff center. My mom loves it! I do not. I dont ever need to see that. Maybe make my mom watch the super efficient law abiding citizen to body bag machine. Was operating at a person a minute well before it was even legal. Long line, worth the wait, people are dieing to get in..
This review is for Pain Therapist, Tyler and Olesha. Thank you for being professional and so courteous Ive learned a lot from your experience and wealthy knowledge without the two of them I couldnt not give a five star rating to riverside health hospital thank you for everything
I was in a car accident October 2018. I broke my hip and had my surgery here. The surgeon, doctors, and nurses were all amazing. I stayed in the hospital for 4 days and it was very comfortable. The nurses were on point with medications. I’m now pregnant and receiving my prenatal care here. I absolutely love it. I’m high-risk and they’re really keeping a close eye on me. I truly feel safe in their hands.
I was in town filming the Dawn Movie and had a stroke was sent there by fire department and was treated and the staff was very kind and supportive thru the ordeal !My Granddaughter who was a teenager then was with me and the staff was very nice to her and knew exactly what and how to handle the situation . Thank you
I’ve been here several times for my dad and it’s always a circus... In the various departments that we’ve visited, we’ve found that more often than not you can either have someone who is nice or someone who knows what they’re doing, hardly ever both. His Oncology doctor was suddenly changed without his knowledge, he has had multiple appointments that have had to be rescheduled because the doctors didn’t do everything they were supposed to, he receives instructions on paperwork to check in in one place only to find that we were told to go to the wrong place after waiting to be seen... It doesn’t need to be so difficult and a waiting game for someone with cancer is really upsetting. Two stars because of the rare nice/competent person combo, but it’s really not worth all the trouble.
For the following reasons I would advise you to NEVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL, if you end up at this hospital GET OUT ASAP!... Alive.Ambulance companies get rewarded for taking people to certain hospitals. If your loved one is put in ambulance tell them do not take them to RUHS. You have that right. The quality of medical care affects outcomes. During stress it is hard to think. We have to get our loved ones to the best hospital possible.I have seen 4 separate people in need of urgent medical care come to this hospital.. all four of them worse off...two dead. All less than the age of 50. Two children. 2 declared brain dead, one stitched up on the face by students ( who used a childs face to learn), one whose ankle surgery had to be redone by another doctor because it was done wrong at this place. Another who, as the triage nurse is calling for help because this person, was dying and the nurse was being hung up and yelled at multiple times. A mother of a 9 and 12 years old who is lost to her children. If this government run facility cannot take patient safety seriously than do not support it.
If I could click 0 stars I would. My boyfriend was in a bad accident and was rushed to the closest hospital.. unfortunately it was this one. He compound fractured his femur, he didnt get surgery for 8 hours... they put a vascular valve in his body and HAD NO PLAN ON REMOVING IT. Weve called numerous times and then ONE OF THE NURSES said they never put it in. BUT he knows, saw and its on his aftercare paperwork. Now we have to jump through hoops and find another clinic. When he was discharge they didnt release him with a wheel chair.. they pretty much through him at us. This isnt the half of it. Dont go here
This is an awful hospital. Do not go in Labour here if you want a smooth delivery. These people are amateurs!! They dont know what there doing and will make your stay miserable. My Daughter had her son here and they kept her in labour for 24 hours!!! And messed up her bladder after she finally delivered and they gave her the wrong prescription. They were supposed to give her antibiotics and gave her something for constipation!!! Really.. These jokers.
I have been going here for the last 2 years for a reconstruction surgery and there is 1 nurses younger asain guy total p.o.s he laughed at me when I was in pain lying in bed and medical assistant staff at the first check in are horrible as a medical assistant myself they talk and neglect patients every time I come for a check they sit and gossip in finish there gossip befor attending to patients inline when your working the chitter chatter waits we are literally trained to treat patients as a priority all they got to do is check people in and can continue but they fail to understand that it has been 2 years straight I have witnessed this behavior!! There are some amazing staff here but more lazy than good
Saved my brothers life with his pancreatitis, and with my dad’s strokes. The Staff knows what they are doing very proficient with their patients. They provide excellent service for their community and the surrounding communities too. They also treated my 4 month grandson with excellent care.
I Went in with chest pains. They did some tests then decided to admit me overnight to monitor me. I sat in the emergency waiting room with many sick persons. I was told it could be a long time before a room is available. I told the doctor I had underlying health issues (heart disease tripple bypass last year) and didnt like waiting with possible coronavirus patients. She told me I could wait outside! How can they monitor me if Im outside?
I would give the hospital 5 stars for my surgery and care, but the billing department is incompetent and impossible to get ahold of. They sent me 2 separate bills. I contacted my insurance company when 1 of the Bills went to collections. I was told all they have to do is resubmit the claim, however, I have been unable to reach anyone even during regular business hours to get them paid.Even my dentist was able to solve this problem without ever contacting me about a bill. Its a shame because the staff at the hospital deserves 5 stars, but now I am dealing with a credit headache because of someones lack of competence.
The food was the worst I have ever seen. Son was admitted and there was no where comfortable for me to sit. (there was a chair, but hard and uncomfortable for the length of time I visited) Dr said in morning after ct he could go home after lunch as long as ct was good. No problems on CT, nursing staff not even needed and barely checking on him since he has no meds, and he simply wasnt released because the Dr didnt get orders in. Staff were all nice and caring, but keeping him for nothing was ridiculous!
Well, we were back here this year. This is a very good hospital!! My husband had sepsis this time. The nurses are excellent, especially with all the work they have to do. I dont like being told when my husband will die though!! Its not up to the doctors; thats GODS call.
So far the best hospital I know. Very clean hospital. Staff are the best. My sister had a very bad infection and she was 28 weeks pregnant, I took her to this hospital because it was the closest one from my house, God sent me here because the moment we entered that building, the social worker was very nice and guide us were we had to go, we thought we were suppose to go to emergency room but the social worker told us to go to postpartum and delivery to get her checked since she was having abdominal pain, we did not know there were contractions, it was to early to think about that since she still had 12 more weeks to go with her pregnancy. Long story short, all the staff was so nice they threaded my sister so good. She gave birth the next day. The Drs ans nurses are excelent. Cant complaint of anyone there. Baby is in the NICU all the nurses are awesome. I totally recommend this hospital to anyone.
If you can afford not to go here, dont. Ive been begrudgingly coming to this hospital since my girlfriend, Michelle, was diagnosed with hyper-thyroid-ism in Feb. 2009.I started to grasp the widespread unprofessional-ism of the staff after witnessing a doctor touch Michelles neck without washing his hands, immediately after eating.-Much of the time, medical students are the ones doing things like drawing blood, so you can expect to be poked a few more times than necessary.-The line for the pharmacy can take up to 1 and 1/2 hours sometimes. When asking the head pharmacist about medication, she had no idea what it was and gave no more advice than what was written on the bottle. Get your prescriptions sent to another pharmacy if you can.-Trying to make an appointment with a general doctor has always been very difficult. Weve called and waited on-line for an hour or more sometimes, only to be told to call another day when appointment dates were released. Calling on that day would result in nothing as no-one would answer the phone, and all appointments were taken by the next day; so the only way to make an appointment was to be there in person on the day appointment dates were released (Also, this is her 3rd general doctor from this hospital; dont get too cozy with the one youre assigned).Besides this, weve had a doctor forget to sign a prescription form, and nurses neglect to administer medication, as well as refuse to remove an unnecessary IV. We received a surprise surgery bill we were told would be completely covered under our health plan before the surgery was performed.Weve now been waiting since October (now January) for her general doctor who said she would call us personally about her last blood test.Last notes: Parking used to be a nightmare, but I believe theyve expanded their lot recently. The cafeteria food is very affordable and usually pretty good, one of the only pluses I can think of!
BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE, HAPPY, CARING AND ON QUE!! I cant thank them enough for really, truly taking care of me, helping me at a very scary time ....TIA/Stroke. The moral and positive attitudes tells me these nurses/doctors and all employees are happy there, it shows in their respect, ease and understandings of one another in which flows beautifully in their care of patients. YOU ALL ARE BEAUTIFUL AND AWESOME!!!! THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO AND BEING WHO YOU ARE...GODS BLESSINGS.❤❤
I wish I could give the Riverside University Health System 0 stars! They scheduled me to test at Crossword Christian church on 06/23/2020. I showed up to my exam and was told the results should take 5-7 days to come back. I called today, on what’s supposed to be the 5th day, to urgently find out my results because I started feeling COVID symptoms on 06/26/2020 and the representative let me know then that my test had been cancelled by LabCorps because the person administering the nasal swab did not close the specimen tube properly, causing it to be leaked. The only solution they offered me was to have someone call me to set up a new appointment - that was over an hour ago. All of the member services lines and hospitals are closed now so my only option is to go to the emergency room because I’ve had fever, chills, muscle ache and loose stools for 3 days now. I will be calling next week to see if it’s possible to change my medical plan. Do not waste your time with the Riverside University Health System.
I wouldnt wish my worst enemy to go to this place. My experience has been terrible and probably life threatening at this time. Theyll tell you how they are overcrowded (thats because no one gets curred here and keeps returning). I thought I was being treated well here but then I found out how really bad this place is. The doctors seem to knowledgable but the are not. Dont ever spend any days in the hospital here, the staff is the absolute worst. I told a nurse I was going to throw up big time and she ran to the other end of the hall never to be seen again. I threw up all over myself and it took a half hour before anyone came. Unbelievable.
I took my son here on Wednesday night because he had an accident I was very scared and worried for my sons health and well being as soon as a dr. Attended him he quickly assumed I did something to my child, he didnt let me be near my own son he judged me as a criminal based on my looks because Im Mexican with tattoos, theres not a person in this world that would ever say Im a bad mother my son has everything a child could want this was he first time ever in his 2 years going to a hospital for any kind of accident. One of the male nurses even shoved me away while I was cuddling my son to make him feel better. They did not treat me well at all. this hospital and the people working at this hospital are horrible. They did not make me or my son feel comfortable there. They wouldnt even let my mom come in for a couple hours even tho I needed some family support because I was very imotinal over my sons well being. I also got in trouble for taking him here and not waiting to call 911 instead. Please do not!!!!! Take your child here they will just assume the worst and try to take your child from you. Everyone in this hospital was working so much to charge me with something and have my son taken from me, but they didnt find a single thing of me being a bad mom. Worst hospital Ive ver been too!
What makes this hospital bad is none of the doctors seem to know what they are doing when i come to a pregnant women. My wife have been coming every week for check ups with a different doctor everytime (they dont take notes or pass information) so everytime shes here....its her 1st visit. Our last child was a high risk pregnancy (which we have informed every doc during our visits) but we just get the run around and reschedule for next week (just wasting our time and money)......why cant they hire docs that will stay longer than a day vs a bunch of substitute doctors
Had an appt. Today with Dr. Victor my appt. was promptly at 2:40 as requested was still waiting at 4:15 in a room. This is not acceptable to me no one came back to speak with me. I was here for a pelvic exam. I left without notifying anyone since no one came to let me know WHY I waited so long.
I had had a bad cut in my hand so we decided to go to this hospital, we waited about 3 hours to be taken to the “rapid” area to get stitched up. As we sat there we could hear a patient yelling suffering in pain and nurses not doing anything for hours, just ignoring him, not even once checking in with the patient. It was extremely heartbreaking to see staff not having the slightest amount of emphaty towards the suffering of others, which is the main nursing duty. After about another 2 hours of waiting to be seen by a physician and witnessing the lack of care for patients we got up and went to Riverside Community Hospital where I was immediately seen and my hand was stitched. I would never recommend this hospital to ANYONE who was an option as to where to go for an emergency. This was definitely the worst experiences with healthcare providers I’ve had.
I wish my mother received better treatment. She stayed in the hospital for 5 days, we saw 15+ doctors (all of which knew nothing about my mother and kept giving the answer let me check your chart, I havent yet), poor communication between shifts, and we ultimately left A.M.A. We left because they could not tell us what was wrong with her. No one was on the same page.Try a different hospital if you can, this was a circus. You will wait, you will be frustrated, and you will be treated as of youre a child-no bedside manor. Also, if you arent in pain be prepared to be asked a million times if you are. I think this hospital has its priorities mixed up. No, my mom does NOT want your morphine.
This place is the worst hospital Ive ever stepped foot in. The ER is packed, unorganized and disgusting. Everyone is running around like mice. No privacy or comfort what so ever. I was supposed to give birth here but will absolutely not be doing that. I do not trust this hospital. I wouldnt return unless I was dying but even then they would probably just let me die. They are under staffed and over worked and the minute you say anything to them or have a question they immediately get defensive and rude. Dont expect food after being in L&D triage for 7 hours with extremely heavy bleeding. Wish I could give them 0 stars and its a shame that this is a teaching hospital and new doctors have to be taught at such a horrible place.
Really poor service.I was really disappointed with most of the Nurses and the staff in the ER department.Every one was on their phones and just making jokes of what was going on (this was at 10pm)They seriously made me fill out paperwork before treating my bloody jaw.Like seriously? Couldn’t you at least see what was going on first then the paperwork...Stayed overnight and they literally let me walk out the building with my face bloody like that.I asked the nurse Isn’t this a biohazard for me to walk out like that, she didn’t know what to answer.Just overall bad service .
Horrible!!! Nurses and staff just walk around pretending to be doing something but they really arent. 5 hours for my son to be seen by a radiologist and still have no answers. All they say is Dr is attending to a much serious patient!! Ok I understand but I been here since 10pm and its now 3am and still have not seen a Dr!! ! Smh unbelievable
The staff members in this hospital are vary nice everyone looks like they enjoy what they do for a living it must be the way everyone cares for there patient in a special way I know Im vary thankful for the way they gave my family the love the care and divine attention that made us seem like family thank you to everyone at Riverside University Health care System❤️🏥😉
If I could give 0 stars I would! Worst hospital ever never go here the staff is lazy walking around the halls talking about what they did on the weekend like little girls at school ! Hospital is dirty and smells! Worst patient care I’ve ever seen in my life ! Everyone has an attitude you call for a nurse and no one comes!
I was here staying with my father and my mother. My dad was the patient I wasnt . And we were there for almost 5-6 hours. We had 2 nurses checking in with us and doing there job which was nice. While we were waiting there in the hallway/room there was a man sitting in a bed. He was a bit whoosey and couldnt stand up well. He was asking a bunch of nurses who walked by him telling them he needs to use the restroom. But they just passed him and ignored him . Then he was tired of it and 1 lady brought him a plastic bottle to use the restroom. And he was asking for privacy to use the restroom but he stood up by him self and went to the bathroom. Because he was so frustrated. It was around 2:00am to 3:00 am when the nurses just kept passing by us and were laughing and acting a fool. One of nurses was even acting like a horse. Galloping across the hall, Acting foolish. We checked in around 10 oclock or 11 and were talking to one nurse which was the one talking to my dad about his issue. It was around 1:00 when he told us hes going to go see if he can find us a room for the night even tho it was already late. Then around 2:00 he leaves to go home for the end of his shift. And I sure wished I was going home to sleep but I wasnt. 3:55 am and still no room about to be 4:00 am and still no room. This is not the best hospital to be at.
Do not come here!1. Had a friend come in for an emergency salpingectomy procedure. As soon as she woke up from surgery they discharged her and sent her on her way home. When I asked why they were discharging her so quickly the nurse said it was because she was awake and there was nothing else they could do for her. I then said they can observe her to make sure she recovers properly, but nope the doctor said she can go. This girl (my friend) is groggy sitting in this wheelchair in front of the elevators. They also told her family that she can start eating whenever, no problem. It wasnt until I questioned anesthesia in her system that she (the nurse) changed her tone and as an afterthought said no only liquids 1st. The nurse also said to take her medicine on time and I asked her if she took any medication after the procedure and she said yes, then I asked her what time and she said I dont know. When I said you dont know?! She said another nurse was taking care of her. Then I asked if it would be on her discharge paper and she said it would be, but it wasnt.2. The hospital didnt look, take IDs nor give visitor passes for security measures.Incompetent liars working here. I wouldnt be surprised to see this place getting sued for patient negligence.
*** Being patient doesnt get you anywhere but overlooked and ignored***Came in this morning, seen rather quickly (only 2 ppl.in the lobby at 0800) labs and specimens collected within first 30 minutes of visit. I was told that it would be a 2 hour minimum for lab results and to listen for ultrasound to call me. I have been more than patiently waiting in the waiting area across from the nurses station for more than 5 hours and just decided to remind them that I was still waiting, although my assigned nurse has walked by me 100 times and hasnt said anything. After speaking to the nurses I was told that 3 more ppl are in front of me and that my labs were done.... I already went to the desk nurse and gotten results of my labs two hours before that. I reported to the RN that I had a history of hypoglycemia and had not eaten. 6 hours into my visit I start to feel like my blood sugar is low. I asked for anything to help sustain my blood sugar, which I should not have had to ask for... I am an LVN and I worked in ER at Hemet valley medical center for 2 years. I am very familiar with the ER enviornment and in comparison to other diagnosis, mine may not be emergent but Im only having a miscarriage. Im only bleeding like all hell and in 8/10 pain at this time and for the last 6 hours I have been being overlooked in this lobby. Sometimes the only way to get treated appropriately is to raise hell. I pray that I wont have to embarrass myself to be treated. Now I can see why people act like they act in ER.
Im sorry, but what kind of Emergency room is this? We came in with our 2yr old at 11pm and had not been checked up on once! All the nurses were just talking, on their phone, one of them even had her head down sleeping! We ended up leaving at 430am without seeing a Dr.. We ended up driving to Loma Linda. This place is horrible, very unprofessional. I cant believe they are getting paid so much money, to have all these patients walk out in pain. Its unbelievable. Never coming here to this hospital again, my forever favorite, Loma Linda MC. They prioritize their patients and give the best care especially to little ones!!!!!!!!
Great Doctors and nurses! Down side waiting to be seem with an appointment is ridiculous. Dont get me wrong being 10 to maybe 15 minutes behind is understandable but 45 to an hour is just plain wrong and unprofessional. Everytime we go to an appointment in the lower level its an automatic wait time of >45 minutes after our appointment time. They really need to get their scheduling together! This is a common problem here and nothing is ever done about it! Very disappointing...😤
My brother was recently diagnosed with aggressive bladder cancer. Every person has been so compassionate but I want to specifically thank Catherine in Patient Advocate snd Danni in Oncology for helping us maneuver through this complex system of cancer treatment. You guys are AWESOME!!!
Not only they make you wait over 3 hours for 2 month advance appointments, but they don’t document test results. They workers talk about each other and talk about unrelated topics with each other in front of patients. No one has assigned doctor regardless what their insurance says , because it’s all students. FYI if a doctor is teaching a student don’t say making the patient cough is useless and only distracts the them. That’s pointless...
Went to this hospital.. The receptionist didnt know what she was doing.she was confused with the computer.. Went to the lab to get blood drawn, they were blasting nicki minaj, the room stunk. I took a diabetes test so my blood needed to be drawn at a certain time... When l told them it was time because they were busy talking (l wasnt sure if they were paying attention to the clock).. They got an attitude & one said WE KNOW! & they took my blood a minute late.. So I dnt know if l was diagnosed popularly... Came in 2 wks later to get an ultrasound for high risk pregnancy... They lost my appointment referral (they said) l had to sit around for a while... Then they found it.. Then my dr bryan oshiro who was my ultra sound specialist was stuck in an hour meeting... Sigh... The nurses let me kno after 30 minutes of long time waiting that he was in a meeting.. This place is stressful.
Spent 4.5 hours here. Total contact time about 15 minutes. Maybe 5 mins with a PA and med student. They took forever once labs and ultrasound tests were done an hour after all results to even talk to us. Then took more than 30 mins to do a simple discharge and a couple of prescriptions. How can it take 30 minutes to an hour to write notes when you spend less than 20 minutes with a patient. Terrible service.
RTA is absolutely horrible. The whole time in that area, I had no vitals checked, I ran out of oxygen which I need 24/7. I told my nurse he said he would be right back and I never saw him again. I tried to get someone’s attention to see about my oxygen and fell of the gearny. In addition to the original reason I came in, I now have additional injuries which no one checked or asked me about.I was then told by the doctor that “the only people that should be in the ER is if you are dying”. He seemed annoyed that I was in the ER and not on my deathbed.I was very disappointed with the quality of care I was given and to be told that I should not be there because I wasn’t dying or dead , was very disturbing.
I only come here because I have no other choice. I have no health insurance, am currently unemployed and I have to use the county health program, so I am stuck with this option. 1 out of the 3 doctors I have seen have been very rude. So thats not so bad. Scheduling appointments is very difficult, next to impossible honestly. They tell you to call back at least once, sometimes 3, 4, or 5 times. Sometimes you even get an answering machine, and can be left on hold for 20-30 minutes til you get a live person. There is often a 1-2 hour wait at the pharmacy when you do get seen and get your scripts. I have never been to the ER, but I always see a line out the door and down the sidewalk. There is no Waiting area per se that I have seen. Once when I stumbled in there on accident, not knowing my way around, I saw just a little cubby area where the nurse was checking people in. Making patients wait outside seems very inhospitable to me. I used to work at a hospital in the San Fernando Valley and we never treated patients like that. I realize that this is a whole different animal, but I thought hospitals were supposed to be held to higher standards of care than that. Like I said, I come here because I must. If I had other options, I would pursue them. For now, I am sick and I need this care. I hope that someone who can change things will read this. oh and the ER is awful. slower than Christmas and they dont give a damn about it.
Just wanted to thank all the nurses, PTs and doctors who helped me during this rough time. SPECIAL THANKS to Kristen, my PT, for making the experience so much fun and relaxing. I was in a rush when transferring out so didn’t say goodbye and thank you before I left. Thank you all! — David, skydiver from Perris.
This ER is active and quite overwhelmed. They need a larger ER to support the needs of both the community and staff. Waiting area to the ER is small but if so many didnt bring extra people it could be accommodating.I have been to the ER on three occasions. 1 life threat emergency. 1 for injury and 1 for follow up to a cardiac event. The staff is awesome they do what they can. Some patients have unreal expectations and create discomfort for others who genuinely need the ER. Its wonderful to see Loma Linda integrated into the hospital. Serious Room issues I was in the hall on two visits for extensive time. No privacy. They gave me the help I needed, just wish some physicians saw the patient as a person not just another piece of the job. I know that there are the regulars and the ones who are there for pain meds plus the homeless. Just dot lose that fact that there are other patients who truly appreciate care and understanding. Discharge the patient with a full set of instructions, Off work order/release etc. Many cant get an appointment for follow up to their physician until two weeks to a month and half away from the discharge. Stop the revolving door. Maybe then you might smile more inside and out thus producing a caring physician. I have been in the medical field 40 years both from Emergency to working the clinics. I understand the quick burn out if you allow it. You have so many nurses there that are smiling all the time. Like I said not ALL the doctors but a few lack the charisma.
I went there almost 3 years ago with pneumonia and a spider bite and it was and extreme busy but I was taken real good care of and they made sure that I wasnt just laying sround in pain they found out that I was an. diabetic and they also made sure I received my insulin and they also made sure i was feed and. And usually hospital food isnt all that great but I must acmit I really enjoyed the meal that I was given the RN that took care of me. she made me fill comfortable even though it was 3 years ago I can still remember her name it was Robin and thwy didnt know that my daughter worked there until they were releasing me so that wasnt the reason I was treated so well some people that I told how well I was treated they thought that was the reason until I let them know I didnt tell them about her until I was released so thanks again Moreno Valley Hospital for your hospitality and your great bed side manner. Sincerely. Ms. Lauana Fox
This hospital is horrible. Your only a number to them. My wife was told to be at the hospital at 11:30am for her surgery at 1:30pm. Well when 1:30pm came and left we were told we had to wait another 3 hours for the surgery. They dont care that she couldnt eat or drink anything since midnight the night before. They dont care that their surgeon has been operating since early morning and is about to operate on my wife at 6 at night! No wonder they have so many medical errors with one more waiting to happen with my wife. We decided to go ahead and try to reschedule the surgery date which we were told was a good idea since she would probably wait that long then be cancelled anyways because at a certain time (6or7pm when she would be done from surgery) they start reducing their staff anyway and their wouldnt be adequate staff to recover her. So they couldnt get a hold of Theresa to reschedule so we left without a new surgery date. Now Theresa told my wife shes been put at the back of the line and cant t have her surgery until march. But cant schedule her yet because they dont have the schedule for March. It all sounds rediculous to me and they are giving us the run around and punishing us because we didnt want to be one more medical error. Be safe and choose another hospital that gives kind compassionate care. Dont subject your love ones to these people who dont care.Oh and by the way forget about meeting your surgeon/doctor before your surgery. Not even in the pre-op appointments. They just have a random student doctor tell you you will be having surgery. Such a joke.
As a patient you need to realize that the ED is overcrowded and may take a while but the care is excellent. The doctors are well trained and know what they are doing. The place is being overhauled by UCR already with a new building to allow for more patient rooms and faster ER times. They also treat people who cant pay for free all the time which no other hospital in the area will do. When I need care again I will go here.
We waited for over 6 hours to see a Doctor. The nurses here put my daughters neck brace on backwards. The nurse are speaking among themselves saying Everyone here thinks they are the only patients Really if someone is asking for an update its not to bother them its just they need to feel reassured they will be seen. All the nurses sitting around in the nurses station talking and having these negative comments about patients. Many people walked out without seeing a Doctor will not come back to this place again. Never thought wed have to wait this long for someone whos been injured in a car accident.
The Service With the doctors and nurses are the best they know their stuff and are awesome! Dr. Prat you are Awesome! But The Wait times W/Appointment are the worst ive ever experienced!ive waited up to 2 hours just to be seen after my appointment time!and whats ridiculous is if your more than 15 minutes late they will cancel you, which not a problem with me im always early or ontime! The ER can be very crazy! they get you in fast but they stick you in the hallway and takes hours and hours to be seen by the actual ER doctor! But again the nurses are the Best!!!
Go anywhere else if you can, super Racist and gross. Like a crackheads house with a dirty needle and used gauze, thats better than this place. I would give negative stars. This place, and its receptionists are jokes. Save yourself time, and a likely a disease, go to the ER. This place is nasty and they pack people in Like sardines in germ soup inside a way too small tin.I should also add, they ladies in the office are Extra-early RACIST. If you have the misfortune to be anything other than Latino or hispanic, they wont call you up until the very very end. Like they did to me. I arrived an hour early for my appointment, and I sat for an hour with my baby, while I watched four separate Latina women all who arrived after me, with later times go up to the desk and into the doctors office. Of course the one other white couple with a tiny newborn had been waiting since before I got there. An hour before.
TERRIBLE!!!!! UNCARING STAFF!! THEY JUST STOOD AROUND CONVERSING LAUGHING!!?! While all there patients were just left abandon in this EMERGENCY waiting room. They took 10HOURS! Just to walk us back and have us wait yet a couple MORE HOURS !!! This hospital is a joke! I would understand if the staff was running around being productive assisting the ILL & WOUNDED BUT NO , They were literally leaning up against the wall. NEVER AGAIN will I be returning to this hospital. I WOULD MUCH RATHER DRIVE FURTHER ACROSS TOWN TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL with the peace of mind knowing there wont be any negligence. Monday , February 22nd 2016 night shift staff urgently needs reevaluating .
If I could give this hospital 0 starts I would!!!! Worst experience ever!! I came to the emergency room at 11:00pm its 4:17am I am still here!!! I have yet to see a doctor whats considered an emergency? Its a mom and her daughter in the waiting room with me whos been here since 10pm with her daughters head busted wide open. DONT COME HERE UNLESS YOUR DYING OF A GUN SHOT WOUND thats clearly the only thing considered as an emergency.
If you like waiting one month with a broken bone in order to see a doctor, this is the place for you! If you like dealing with rude operators, this is the place for you! If you like being disconnected after waiting on hold for half an hour, TWICE, this is the place for you! If you like being treated worse then a pet, this is the place for you! No one who has any healthcare choices would ever choose to come here. This is the WORST experience I have ever had with any organization for anything. If anybody is reading this and knows where I can file formal and official complaints with the State, please let me know. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.
Horrible experience. I went there with 104 to 105 temperature. After 6 hours in that place and the convincing diagnosis tactics, the doctor didnt see my obvious Strep Throat. She gave me two types of pain killers and sent me home. 6 hours of pain for $5 worth of meds that I could have bought over the counter.
The care was very good, I had about a 2 1/2 hour wait but it was busy. They took good care and listened to exactly what was going on and sent me home feeling like the problem was fixed. I would give this hospital 2 stars but the waiting areas and bathrooms were disgusting in my opinion.I was NOT impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. Floors and windows were extremely gross and the one restroom available in waiting area was horrible (ex: trash everywhere, no toilet paper). I am 34 weeks pregnant and could not use the restroom because of how dirty it was. Moreno valley has a choice of only 2 hospitals... Kaiser and RCRMC, so I expect long waits.......but no matter what, a hospital should be cleaned routinely and have the feeling that proper sanitation being upheld.
Worst hospital ever, Dr uku is very rude and impatient, the fact that hes a doctor is outrageous, he pretty much told me to f off while I was going through a full blown panic attack inside, they dont care about you, go anywhere else, trust me, worst experiences in my life has happened here
Is sad this place has everything to give a good care for who ever need it but witnessed lots students at this facility and they are the ones who give a descent care To ppl who’s in there and the actual residents who gets Pay for what they do they don’t even care and act all moody and mad when they choose to be there and went school for it . Then they seriously need to change carriers my family member was bad treat it here never again .
Me and my daughter we transported here after being hit by a drunk driver and my daughter was treated immediately but I had to tell them at least 10 times I wanted to be checked out too but they only ended up doing an xray on my leg and last time I checked when you black out in an accident they normally do a head scan. sorry but this hospital is just as bad as hemet hospital and I definitely will never go back.
NICU , Be aware of flow of information in all departments specifically NICU. It is a fast paced environment yet one or two people are extremely slow, self conscious and simply put rude.Stay with your infant as much you can and ask questions. Take notes and compare it when the shift changes. Each shift has a gang leader who is ordained by God himself and will change things before you know it. I personally think, this hospital is a need for serious reorganization. Two many times, us the public, will pay the price for their mistakes. ]This place will not servive the test of time. A simple order of blood test is overlooked by technition. Procedures are explained contradictory by each Doctor, Head nurse and Nurse...And stay a way from student who are there to use you and your family as dummies to learn! At the end those who know what they are doing, cant wait to get out of there.
Medical visit was the absolute best Ive ever experienced. I believe this is a training hospital, I had 5 doctors see me on one visit. Keep up the good work. :-( sadly ER is a mess. Its just not big enough or equipped for the case load. Id try to go elsewhere in an emergency. But doctor visits...oh yes!!!
My experience with this place was very pleasant, I had a broken arm (humerus bone), very painful to walk around with but the staff from the ER, to the Orthopedic department, to the nurses who transfer patients, the intake nurses, the X-ray imaging staff, the medi-Cal intake administration, my medi-cal case worker, the general administration and the pharmacist literally everyone at this medical center is heaven sent and made my stay enjoyable. They are deligent workers here and seem to care about each patient, this is hard to find, I just want to thank everyone involved and I will soon donate DVDs to the ER waiting room. They deserve a pay raise for their hard work and nice attitude. Thank you again.
They left my brother sitting with dirty poop rags underneath his butt! The doctor had a straight attitude when we were asking her question. The rooms are super dirty. They kept claiming they were running out of medicine to give him. Which is extremely ridiculous! How are you a hospital running out of important meds! The worst hospital ever!
This hospital should be charged with malpractice & neglect to the disabled!! Ive been going there since 2010. I have never been treated so terrible by medical staff. The Emergency Dept head doctor refused to treat me for injuries I had since 2012. They would tell me Im only there for drugs, told me I needed a physiatrist. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia & was discriminated against!! I found out that I have stenosis of the cervical spine & it is inoperable. I was told I have to deal with it. I have many other health issues that have been ignored by them! They DO NOT DESERVE ANY STARS!!!
From the outside it looks like a prestigious Hospital comparable to Kaiser Permanente but the inside needs alot of work. The emergency room check in is a cramped space area thats unappealing to say the least. Once inside its alittle better. The watch a movie till your called is a good tactic to keep patients settled, so thats a plus. The worst thing about this hospital is all th bird droppings all over the windows of every window! It looks so ghetto and they put a sign about the birds being protected by the state so they have to let them cramp all over the windows. Its the most embarrassing thing Ive ver seen in a hospital setting. Staff is nice thoe. But they do have alot of interns there taking notes as the nurse checks you out. Its awkward and alittle annoying. Sorry just my honest opinion. #JUST CLEAN THE WINDOWS & ILL GIVE IT A THUMBS UP#
I was in this hospital in Feb 2016. I would go back in a heart beat. The best doctors, nurses, all the staff was excellent. I went in thru theER with a rapid Heart beat. they had me hooked up and blood work started before I knew what was happening. Thru testing they found I had an over active thyroid. This is one of the best hospitals in Southern California. I give the 5 stars they earned them.
Today is Sunday March 18, 2018. My day started with a phone call at 06:roam from my sister stating that I needed to go and pick her and my mom and take them to the ER. Because my Mom was vomiting Blood. We went to the nearest ER which is RUHSMC. From the moment we walked in the ED, the triage Nurce was very Nice. Then we say the Residents Doctor Ana she seemed ok. We were then taken back to a another waiting room where we waited about 5mins. A very NICE RN called my mom and took us to a bed. The RN who was assigned to my Mom was very Nice and helpful. Her name was Maura. The ER tech was very Nice as well. (But I can not remember his name.) The other staff members who help my mom one way or the other was Joe Allen and Shelby RN. We spent 7 1/2 hrs in the ED. We did see the doctor (Dr. Yin) almost right a way. And after a little Dr. Yin told us that my Mom would have to be transferred to Riverside Community Hospital because of her insurance. So my sister and I would like to THANK those who helped made my Moms ED trip a smooth experience. Also a BIG THANK YOU to the 2 you Men from the Ambulance Transfer. Once they reached RC they stayed with my Mom in till she was placed in a room on the ED at RC. SHE MY MOM IS DOING BETTER BUT WILL NEED MORE TESTING.
Do not trust the bad reviews. I am currently at this hospital and it is the cleanest, friendliest and most trustworthy staff I have ever been to. I have been to many hospitals in my life and this one made the top 3 list. The are taking great care of my dad here. Doctors and nurses are super here. And most of them are super cute as well....hehehe. exxxtra points. Anyways great hospital.
The worst medical facility I have ever been to ! Nobody knows whats going on. The people are very rude. Trying to make an appointment is nearly impossible. ...they answer, ask for your name and date of birth then put you on hold after youve already been on hold for 15 minutes.Hate this place. Will give bad reviews ever day until something changes. And sometimes you cant even get an appointment for months. ...ridiculous!
Horrible hospital! My mom was admitted for care and has dementia, and they determined that she needed care at a more skilled nursing facility because she is elderly....yet when they transferred her they transferred her wallet, purse, phone, and walker but broke her $120 walker in process - and because they had her ID, Medicare card, debit card, house keys and a few other valuables they FAILED TO TRANSFER THOSE ITEMS WITH HER TO THE NEW FACILITY. It wasn’t until her discharge from the new facility and leaving we realized “omg she has no way to get money from the bank, get into her apartment or pay for her medication” In fact.... she was charged $75.00 to let her in to her apartment after hours and more to rekey her apartment (we didn’t know where the keys were because everyone was claiming they didn’t have them) until finally the unit clerk called and admitted that not all items had been transferred in the safe from this hospital to San Gabriel MC....so now I have to do another drive to here from Torrance....then this hospital to Hemet....this place is awful!!!!
This is one ghetto hospital you make an appointment and u still have to wait 3 hours whats the whole point making an appointment? I asked the receptionist she said theres two more patients in front of you things happen people call off aaahh ok why dont u guys tell the patients ahead of time so we can show up a little late I had an ultrasound appointment at the Radiology I had to be fasting I havent ate since 8am is 4:33 pm and am still waiting to be called this is ridiculous.
Took 8 hrs to get blood work done and for them to sent me home with nausea medicine. Decided to go to Downey ER n they quickly ran protocol and did a scan on my organs due to my symptoms. Doctors and nurses were very disappointed that this place did not protocol correctly after the fact that I passed out on them. Wouldnt trust them. Please go make an extra 10-15 min drive and go somewhere else.
Prolly one of the most compasionate caring hospital I ever been at. Every employee was so friendly to children. They are really on top of everything. I felt the love.. CORIN, RN and DEBBIE, RN were my favorites I want to be their friends in real life. DR. SY & DR MARH are the best e.r. doctors you can get. I was screaming like a whimp and they still kept their positive attitudes.
The worst hospital ever this place should be shut down so all them rude nurses can be out of a job.. they all need classes on customer service, and they need to go back to school because they have no idea what to do when a patient is passing out right in front of them. Medical response is patient assistance you would think all that schooling and training theyd know that but no all they do is just stand there and stare like some dumbasses. Oh and not to mention disgusting, eating pizza in the patient area BIG OSHA violation because its cross contamination. The worse HOSPITAL EVER!!
First of all it deserves 0 starts!!!!! I am 6 weeks pregnant went there for cramping in my lower obdominal... Was there since 8pm to 7 am the next day :/ I did not see any doctor untill 7 am .... They did an ultrasound, blood test, and urine test... When I finally saw the doctor he did not even check my hsg exam nor my urine nor my ultrasound and told me my baby had no chances of surviving ... I new he wasnt reading my results due to the fact that I had seen my primary doctors 3 days before and had told me my baby was perfectly fine and there was a heart beat... So I decided to go to another hospital after that discussted experienced !!! The hospital I went to told me I was in perfect conditions baby was fine the only problem was that I had a urinary tract infection ... Never again coming to this disgusting hospital in my life!!!!
Yes they made me feel comfortable for the 3 days I was there but I would never have a kid there again they took me around in circles wouldnt answer my questions or wouldnt give direct details they didnt take my sons feet prints or hands and they cut my sons umbilical cord wrong he now has umbilical hernia and if its not gone by the time hes 3 he will need surgery if it comes down to that I will sue this hospital
I have been going to RCRMC since about 2009. It has always been extremely difficult to try and work with: the ER, staff in case management, administration, and doctors and nurses. I was diagnosed with epilepsy (generalized TC) when I was 8 years old. The seizures and triggers that I have always known changed last year. The doctors and nurses have made unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful comments at or around me while seizing in the ER (referring to me, while seizing, as possessed..this is like exorcist). Nurses in the ER had restrained me several times while seizing and hurting me in the process (proper seizure first aid: NEVER restrain or try to restrain a person while convulsing/thrashing - you can injure that person or even yourself!)[01/10/13 around 11am] I was taken to RCRMC ER via AMR for extreme abdominal pain - I began to have seizures because of it. The gurney I was in was right in front of the ER nurses station. I was given 1000mg Motrin once and water twice. I saw the MD who was assigned to me once an hour or two after arriving. I was experiencing loose BM and horrible pain and I asked MANY TIMES for help to the restroom - ...be right back in just one moment no one came. They allowed an EMT student practice putting in an IV when I already had one in my other arm - BOTH IVs stayed and were connected to NOTHING. I was never seen by that MD again - even though I could see him and his desk right where I laid. Pain, loose BM, and seizures continued until 2am - NO medication for seizures and pain, NO help from staff, and they moved me to the sleeping area. After complaining loudly so I can be seen or I was going to leave - I finally got a MD to see me and was offered pain meds. Turned out that large gal-stones - if I ate, drank, or seized again my gal bladder wouldve ruptured. I had to wait for 4 days until they took me to surgery to remove my entire gal bladder.I have made and filed grievances MANY times about this and other situations. To be honest - you get better service there if you are dying or a prisoner in Riverside county lock-up.
Im here right now and theyre a professional and hard working staff...theyre swamped and probably tired..I have been treated with respect and care..Glad I Came ...The biggest thing you have to realize is your not the only one sick, and they are treating many patients...
If i had just got my arm cut off and was losing blood it would probably be a 3 hour wait. took my 2 month old in and waited 7 hours to just end up walking out driving to riverside and being seen as soon as i got there, children are priority. couldve saved a ton of time. i saw one guy said i been waiting 4 hours, with 3rd degree burns on his arm from his hand to his elbow poor dude. i believe they are students but gee whiz.... if i was the professor you all FAILED!! they even lost a paitent.. where did he go, he probably died went to heaven and decomposed.... my suggestion drive to riverside.
The care from the staff was great everyone was always helpful when I would call during my 7day stay, but the regular food was the worst...half cooked vegetables and noodles, wasteful with the size of the Dannon yogart, need to get the small ones. Thanks for the care from the ER to the nurses, cna`s and volunteers on the floor.
So i get there thinking in dying of a heart attack my bp was over 180/119. Stroke status. They never monitored my bp. All they cared about is testing me for covid. Finally 5 hours later they gave me my daily dose of bo meds. 2 hours after that tjey were going to discharge me. Mind you my bp was only taken once. I asked them to retake my bp. It was higher then when i walked in. I started complaining. They fed me. Then retook my bp. It was slightly lower. But not even close to being normal or out of stroke status range. Said there was nothing they could do. Told.me i didnt have covid and sent me home. Never going back!!! I couldve had a stroke or worse. They didnt care. After hours of being there. I had to go to another hospital that actually cared if i died or not. Worst 2 days of my life.
Checked in at 1am just left at 6:08am my 2 yr old son got his vitals done and we waited 6hours and still have not seen a doctor or even got put on the breathing machine!!!!! We left and now on our way to Redlands ER because we are still in an emergency for our baby to get cared for!!!!!! Tiered sick discusted for the non crowded slow service!!!! Complete BS!
In and out quickly ! Just the way I like it. Thanks ER doc Tim Gedley you are helpful, kind, efficient, and explained everything completely. I feel better already......Thanks........Back again one week later, same issue.....cant breath....been waiting over an hour !! Guess breathing isnt that important.....there are a couple of really sick small children that have been here way before me .......have not seen anybody called back since I have been here......pretty bad emergency room !!😕
Literally broke my rotator cuff off. The Orthopedics Department and Doctors R Very good. Got my Arm and Shoulder straight, symmetrical and didnt destroy any of my muscles in the process. Was back doing Tai-Chi after a 6 hour surgery, 3 day Hospital stay in a week. Excellent job on the incision. Little over 7 inch which is NOT going to leave a really really bad nasty scar like I had thought. A couple of plates and rod 4 my arm and I am good to go. If you are really truly in pain they will take care of you. If your med seeking move on.
Today March28,2018 at 11 or 12 in morning my daughter need to get stitches they help me out no more than hour which i thought I was going to be there for hours but I didn’t,the nurse and doctor were helpful and nice and A lady that work for child deportment was really nice and helpful I forgot her name but I want to thank her so much... they gave my daughter coloring book and bag of toys and teddy bear I was so happy and grateful.. my daughter love the hospital..
Male27. Fixed my extensor tendon three weeks after the injury. I cant say i know who really performed the surgery since they didnt talk to me in person before or after, just the assistant surgeon. the injury was 3 or 4 months ago and im almost back to 100%. also Dan from rehab services was cool. thank you guys!
I gave it 1 star because I couldn’t rate it nothing less. Horrible place to be honest! Wouldn’t want to step in this hospital again. You go to the emergency room to get answers and help and the practitioner rushed me out the room prescribing me ointment and pills when I couldve done that at home. I don’t recommend this hospital!
My husband has been going to the podiatry clinic for about nine to ten months now and have been told SOOOOOO many different things that that they want to do with his leg and/or foot. His first Doctor, whom seemed to care about him and his feelings about losing his own foot or part of him, but it will have to be coming off is how she put it. But everyone else ,were going to have to take off your leg from here down. Its not like Mr. Hicks we cant wait to much longer for because Im afraid that the affection has gotten worse and has begun to go up in to your leg. But NOBODY TALKS LIKE THAT TO HIM!!!!! THEYLL TALK TO HIM LIKE HE DOESNT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIS OWN FOOT AND LEG. I JUST SOMEONE WOULD TEACH THEIR INTERNS THE BASIC HUMAN NEEDS AND FEELINGS, THAT ANY DOCTOR SHOULD HAVE.Good bedside manners, always listen to your patients and treasure them that youll do what you can, andAbove all else write a prescription for sore of the problem for patients.Back to the problem with podiatry and orthopedic clinic need a little bit of help on their bedside manner and the just trying to be human with their patients might be of help and stop arguing with the patient, because youve already explained everything to them now they, the INTERNS, need to to listen to the patent and give advice when needed. But I SOMEONE is forgetting to put it all in the listens. Thanks, Doris
This hospital saved my life! Excellent trauma surgeons were on staff after I was flown in after taking an 80 foot fall when my paraglider collapsed. I threw a lot at them with: my right femur pressing up so forcefully it shoved my pelvis up into my ribs, double compound fracture of the right elbow after getting drug through rocks, and traumatic brain injury causing a great deal of swelling and damage to the optical nerve of my right eye. They had a lot thrown at them and did remarkably well. The only thing that didnt work out for me was after the surgery of my right arm the area/joint operated on soon became rock hard as H.O. (heterotropic ossification) set in immobilizing the joint. This all took place a few days after I was transfered to a hospital in Arizona. It was a little frustrating because I learned later about common practices routinely done to prevent this.Thats the only reason I gave four instead of five stars. I would definitely consider going back to this place - if anything to thank everyone for saving my life.
My wife went in at 10pm to the ER to get x rays after being in a car accident earlier and they still havent seen her and its 5am! They keep saying its the slow time like what does that mean!?!?! Worst hospital ever, what kind of doctors and nurses just sit around and talk all the time at an ER its called EMERGENCY ROOM FOR A REASON!
Violated my rights under HIPAA and identity theft. I believe that an employee (S. H.: worker #125 at 14375 suite 102) has violated my HIPAA rights and insurance code and possibly identity theft by condescendingly, combatively, and confrontationally refusing to return personal documentation containing medical records, social security numbers, banking records, tax returns and personal data and disappearing with the information for approximately 15 minutes. Further, I believe that her erratic, unprofessional, unethical behavior has violated my rights under the HIPAA act of 1996. She was acting outside her authority by instantly denying coverage to me based upon her personal feelings of prejudice and disdain towards me, her own personal underwriting, her own personal acts of actuarial duties and her own instant interpretation of my financial records. She demanded that I instantly dictate my businesss profit and loss figures to her for the previous 3 months on the spot. She is a malicious, dangerous, spiteful individual who is putting lives at risk. I also believe that my rights and eligibility for medical coverage have been compromised due to her interaction with this matter. Police and “human resources” involvement had also occurred as a result. DO NOT trust the employees of this facility as you may become a victim of identity theft and insurance fraud. If I was asked to sum up my visit and experience with one phrase it would be, Interview with a Nazi.
Horrible... Took my husband there because he had chest pain... we had to wait 6 hours to get a ridiculous diagnostic... they were not even busy and we saw several people just walking away frustrated because of the long wait and poor care... if you need Urgent care, do yourself a favor and go to a BETTER PLEASE!!!!
My girl and I went in at 10pm on a thursday night as she was having contractions and at 12am I had to leave with our 15 month old. She came home in a taxi at 3am as they said they could not induce her but she was in intense pain. Her water broke at 5am and she had the baby in the ambulance, in the parking lot of the hospital, at 5:24am. I thank GOD that they were both ok but I would never recommend going to this hospital
Awful Doctor. Samvatian or something like that. I moved from Northern CA. and just because I take Tamazepam and Oxycodone, Im treated like a criminal. With all the new changes in Health Care I havent been able to see a doctor to get my script filled and I thought finally... The lame Dr. tells me this hospital has some kind of ANTI-Narcotic agenda or something...WORST HOSPITAL NO COMPASSION FOR PEOPLE.
This is by far the worst er i have ever been to. I got there about 7pm and wasnt even seen till 11pm then had o wait another two hours for my results.. the place is filthy and the staff absolutely have no idea what they are doing asked a simply question to one staff then here comes another staff correcting them. Then that one got corrected by another until i had like four different staff saying four differebt things... i will absolutely not ever go to this place again. HORRIBLE.....

2022-03-21My own personal experience was well, everyone went above and beyond their call to duty. Not only that. They got real heart for people. They could just throw my friend out for making a good recovery. But they did not.Truly one of the few, this hospital surpasses expectations. If i was able to nominate this hospital for its great workers to receive recognition for quality services then I would

2022-03-16I used to love this hospital for my obgyn appointments for prenatal care, but when it came to my labor and postpartum care the scheduling center was so negligent. They consistently over book appointments. In this covid season I’ve had many funerals to attend unfortunately and I had to reschedule my 6 week appointment postpartum. I was told I would need to wait because there were no openings. I waited for a call back and never received it. When I called them they told me they couldn’t get me an appointment till a whole month after and it would no longer be considered a postpartum appointment.. this was really frustrating considering I had a lot of issues and pain. I wish I could’ve trusted my clinic with keeping routine appointments but I was forced to go to urgent care. I love the pediatric section of the hospital and I would gladly give them 5 stars but I would not trust the ob clinic and I definitely would not recommend to anyone I know.

2022-06-23Last night I went to the Emergency. I NEVER do this. I was scared and confused and wasn’t sure I should even take up space there. My blood pressure was rising uncontrollably no matter how many BP pill’s I took. I was going through some kind of panic attack for 4 days with no sleep. I was scared. They put me at ease, made me feel safe, gave me care quickly and literally took me by the hand and helped me get better. I went home and woke up this morning feeling like myself and rested and calm. You don’t know how much I appreciate . Thank you. 🙏

2022-02-20This Hospital is amazing. I’ve seen this hospital transformation over the years and it’s not even recognizable. I had to ask “ is this still a county hospital?”. It’s still county but it’s also a beautiful teaching hospital! This hospital provides lots of resources for the patient population and does an awesome job of supporting communities throughout riverside county. The hospital staff are so nice. ER was great I got a bed and a room right away. This hospital has 2 Panera breads (one in the main hospital and a small one in the new clinic building) . There’s a farmers market every Thursday. The nurses, doctors and hospital staff are very helpful and compassionate. I had doctors and nurses pray with me before my surgery. Thank you RUHS.

2022-02-27Ive never heard of more disturbing things in my life about a hospital. Read the medication they are giving you. The odds of dying from taking that medication. You have no rights and they dont care apparently. Your an object to them even hate and provoke patients. People need to know what youre up to. Exposed this place. Your three star average would be one if only people knew. I posted this because of the terrible story that my friend told me she went through. Their was something far worse she mentioned. I wont say because it could of been an isolated incident but the rest is constant. It needs new management!

2022-02-27I am very disappointed by this Hospital. The system to visit patients is ridiculous. You have to call in the morning to put your name on a list. Once you show up to the hospital, have the employees at the front desk contact the patient’s floor to confirm that you are on the list then to be told you cannot see your ill family member because their state-paid caregiver visited that day which means you cannot see your family member. They are telling me I would have to choose between not seeing my mom or not allowing my mother’s caregiver to get work. This is a broken system denying patients like my mom the emotional support they need to leave the hospital. A broken heart can lead to so many illnesses on top of ones patients, like my mom. Please do better.

2022-05-24Spent 7 hours in ER for shortness of breath. Took pee, vitals, and blood. Three hours later the blood work hasnt been processed. Two more hours later they say they lost the pee. Another hour later they say oh you havent done a breathing treatment when it was done two hours previously. Extremely disorganized, blew off patients ignored another women in a wheel chair that was also waiting for hours for blood work. Worst ER experience Ive ever had.

2022-04-29I do not recommend being seen at the Womens Clinic. After scheduling an appointment I was called a week later to reschedule. They gave only two dates of which I stated I could not attend. After denying the dates the staff member hungup on me. She cancelled my appointment and rescheduled it anyway. Upon arriving for the appointment, I did not schedule I was told I needed to pay because my insurance didn’t cover it. I then told the staff member the authorization was approved and she continued to ask me to pay for the appointment.

2022-03-07My stepfather was brought in by ambulance after suffering a stroke and fall in front of my mom and I. My mom & I were told by the paramedics to follow the ambulance in. We get there and the staff were rude to my mom saying she would have to wait outside in the waiting area and call them on her phone every 40 minutes for update. The waiting area was not clean nor were the heaters working for the 45 degree wind chill day. While sitting there, we observed several patients just being wheeled out in wheel chairs and left out in the extreme cold to wait for a ride. An elder patient was being dropped off by her family saying they believed she was having a heart attack. The nurse was yelling at the family to stay in their car and no one could go in with her even though the elderly woman was unresponsive. That was just the start. My stepfather was in for over a week with them running tests and only one doctor speaking to my mom to let her know what was going on. That doctor told my mom my stepfather didnt have strokes, but severed his vertebrae. There were a few amazing nurses ...one NP in particular who went over the second CT iodine scan with my mom explaining to her that her husband definitely had a couple small strokes causing short term memory loss and other possible irreparable damage, plus she saw signs of dementia (which weve known about). Also found was a severed vertebrae in his neck so he would not be moved and would need to wear a neck brace for 4 to 6 months. She said she would have the surgeons and doctors call my mom. No calls. They told my mom they would come by to talk with her as she was able to visit him for only 2 hours a day....they couldnt bother. The discharge caseworker called my moms landline while she was at the hospital waiting to speak to the doctors, to tell her they were working with their Scan/Beaver Medical Insurance group to get him moved to a SNF as insurance wasnt picking up any more time in the hospital. They were supposedly going to move him about 4pm but didnt until 10pm not feeding him a lunch or dinner. Nor did they provide my mom or the NSF with discharge papers nor the copy of medical scans and records. If you work all of your life and paid into medicare, you should be treated better than what my parents have been. Yet if you dont work and milk the Welfare system, you get treated like royalty with free everything. They only allow one visitor for only 2 hours per day. They wont allow a caregiver in with an elderly spouse. This hospital is horrible. Dont let your family ever be taken here!
