Poor customer service. Been on hold for a while now and Lisa the lady who picked up is extremely rude and indifferent to customers and not all that together from what it sounds like...I am calling just to verify that Fed Ex has delivered my package at their location so I can go pick it up since I got an alert from Fed Ex that it was ready. This lady is so slow and rude its unbelievable...sounds like she hates her job. Wow ! Time for a change Postal Annex !
If I could give less than 1 star I would. Avoid this place. We set up the shipping of a pallet of goods at the utc postal annex and asked that it be delivered2 weeks later. Instead of delivering it 2 weeks later they delivered it almost 4 weeks later causing enormous inconvenience. We set up in house delivery instead the packages were left on our lawn leaving us to carry heavy boxes into the house. The shipper kept claiming he would make it right as soon as the packages were delivered and instead ducks all calls. In my opinion I would run as far away from this business as you can.
Kamil, the owner as well as his other staff persons were very accommodating and professional.I rented a 6-month PO Box and after a month, I didnt need it anymore. He was very willing to work with me to create the best refund outcome for both of us.I highly recommend getting a PO Box here or just shipping your packages from this spot!
I have nothing but good things to say about this place and dont understand some of these reviews here. How do you blame the Annex if the carrier loses or destroys your package, the Annex has no control over that? The team always helps me choose between the different carriers to find the best option for the specific package and level of speed / insurance needed. More often than Id like, I show up with poor packaging because Im out of stuffing material or tape - never once was I turned down or charged for getting help with making sure the package is ready to go.
I shipped a brand-new $1000 computer through this shipper. Along with several items, I paid close to $700 to ship to Michigan. The computer was destroyed in the shipment--amazingly, even parts of the computer which had been machine-bolted into the motherboard was dislodged and *shredded* into pieces. After weeks of calling and going back and forth trying to resolve the issue, both UPS and Postal Annex denied the claim, leaving me without any compensation for time or money lost to this inanity.I highly recommend that you avoid this place if youre planning on shipping large and valuable items as they will not help you resolve any issues that come up.In preparation to a response from the store, as a customer, by asking you, the shipper, to ship something, one can only assume that your team will ensure the items are packed well with fragile labels placed on boxes and that any and all precautions will be made to ensure safe arrival of said items, esp. when the cost to ship is over 600$. Despite indicating that the item was fragile and a computer and should be treated as such, no fragile labels were placed on box and the expectation that I must supervise the entire shipment process to ensure this is done is, frankly, insulting.
Postal Annex offers so many services like shipping, postage, mailboxes, notary, copies, etc. They have a cute little shop with lots of little gifts or souvenirs. The only thing I dont like is the long wait. They usually have 2 or more people working there but its always so busy. If you get your mail and packages here, like I do, sometimes you have to wait a while to be helped.
Worst customer service ever! Went in to drop off a package and asked for a receipt. The lady told me if I wanted proof they shipped my stuff I should take it directly to the carrier. This was after I told her that they already lost 2 of my packages and I needed proof this one was dropped off. Dont take your packages here. They will either get lost or stolen and youll never get the items or money back. Theyve lost over $200 in merchandise so far. BEWARE!
Stupidly went in expecting to be able to open a po box. warning - it is INSANELY DIFFICULT TO DO HERE!!State law requires that they are provided with 2 forms of photo id (with limited exceptions that cover various forms of non photo id that are acceptable) HERE - YOU CANNOT OPEN A PO BOX WITH THAT!!!!!They demand proof of address - I hand them my drivers license with my current physical address on it - ISSUED TO ME NOT EVEN A WEEK AGO - rather rotund guy behind the counter doesnt even look at it - just tells me it has to be on a separate document??!?! So I need to provide TWO photo ids AND completely separate documentation that shows my physical address? I dont know of ANY Californians who even have TWO photo ideas!!!!God only know what else they insist on having at this place: name of cousins best friend printed in gold lettering? Proof of your great grandmothers dogs physical address in 1922 chiseled into a stone on the Golden Gate Bridge. There are PLENTY of other options in the area - I suggest using them instead - there is one in claremont not to far away. Whenever you get a place that does this - you know automatically that every transaction will be trouble - if you get a package to big for your box - theyll be all bent out of shape over it. If you take a package in for mailing - theyll probably charge you for a piece of tape.Like every other business - they will stay in business of course - but caveat emptor. its 2 mins from my work - but Id rather travel 10 mins out my way to claremont to get better service with less personal information having to be given just to get a place to have my fricking mail delivered.I will of course be querying their practices with the post office. Its bizarre that they are allowed to get away with demanding more personal information than is permitted or mandated by statute.

2022-05-11I’m paying much more than what I should be paying if I am going to a postal office and they told me that’s the only option they have. $17.72 for flat rate envelope. Learnt my lesson. I guess I paid for convenience.

2022-06-02The store hours at this postal annex location is whatever the workers decided. I came here multiple times now and sometimes the doors are locked way before the 5pm closing hours. Now, they just removed the closing hours all together. Postal annex might as well close this location because it’s not reliable.

2022-03-03I have been going to this postal annex for 2 years now and have never been treated so rudely as I was tonight. I went to drop off/mail packages at 515, when I arrived the open sign was turned on, the sign on the front of the door says open until 6 and the website says open until 6. When I got to the door and it was locked I was rudely greeted by the woman working saying Okay no we are closed, if you are dropping off I can help but if you are mailing you need to go. When i pointed out that everything implies that they are open until 6 she then replied Yea it hasnt been changed yet. First of all it is absolutely ridiculous that all information present states this postal annex is open until 6 and second there is a way to talk to patrons to let them know the hours and this was not it. I will not be going back to this postal annex and will find somewhere else to mail my packages from now on.

2021-10-16Went to this location to notarize a document . After notary, I sent the document to the secretary of State for authentication. The SOS returned the document and rejected to authenticate it because the notary signature doesnt match what they on record for the notary. Went to the Postal Annex office, told them about this, they told me we can notarize paper again but I have to bring the person who signed the paper again which was the an HR person from the company I work for. Of course it is waste of time and money and risk if the notary signature is not accepted again. They rejected to refund me. This has costed me not only the notary but the priority mail back and forth and the waste of time as this was urgent document to be done. I dont advise anyone to go there for notary services. There is more trusted notary locations in area.

2021-09-18The women who work here will bend over backwards to help their customers. They are kind, efficient, and fun. And they have the cutest merch and cards that make great gifts! When other reviewers complain about the cost of shipping keep in mind that the shipping companies and USPS set the prices, not Postal Annex, so it’s absurd for those reviewers to blame Postal Annex; it just highlights those reviewers’ ignorance.

2021-05-01If I could give this place no star, I would. I usually go in to print stuff, but I recently send a package international through them and the package got lost. Older lady with curly hair goes by Lisa didn’t offer insurance when I ship the package with her. She was very rude. Maybe she hates her job but don’t take it out on us customers, we are the ones giving you business lady.

2021-04-20Terrible service from elderly blond lady in her 60s with curly hair name Lisa. DO NOT SHIP THINGS WITH HER. She’s also very rude and yells at customers. Shes not all there. Probably high or drunk. I cannot believe postal annex hire people like that to handle customers packages. Avoid her if possible. She’s very incompetent. And I will never go back to that place again!!

2019-09-19I shipped an international suitcase through this shipper. I paid close to $700 for international shipping. Amazingly, my suitcase returned to shipper address after two weeks again. The reason is that the shipper forgot to inform me that my suitcase should be unlocked for custom inspection. After weeks of calling and going back and forth trying to resolve the issue, my answer from the shipper is they *assume* every customer should know that the international suitcase should be unlocked for inspection, and Postal Annex denied the claim, leaving me without any compensation for time or money lost to this inanity.I highly recommend that you avoid this place if youre planning on shipping large and valuable items as they will not help you resolve any issues that come up.In preparation to a response from the store, as a customer, by asking you, the shipper, to ship something, one can only assume that your team will ensure the items are comply with standard and packed well.

2020-12-22Very rude clerk. Lisa the lady with blonde hair and bangs is very impatient, rude to customers. She also put wrong label for a wrong carrier service so I had to remind her or else I’ll get charged. Also demands customers to hold down the package while she tape the shipping label on top with a very rude tone.
